The hands really aren’t moving much at all, the body is just rotating, pulling the arms & hands down with it. Right before impact his hands are almost in the same place as they were at the top in relation to the body.
I don't get this view angle. Are you saying the club goes straight down then jumps on plane as opposed to staying on plane through the entire swing, which you would see if standing to his right.
