high-profile move not to rugby itself but NFL uh re samit to the Kansas City Chiefs as a running back um what you make of there and do you think he will you know obviously it’s good for him financially how how he’ll play out absolutely brilliant excited when I saw it break um I think it’s brilliant for him you know he said he grew up with the NFL his father was a big NFL fan um she’s grown up with all those Role Models you know comes gives you an opportunities go away to America yeah and try out you know some a sport you’ve loved and watched all your life you’re going to bite his hand off so I I’m super excited I think I think generally I think you know if he he’ll get an opportunity I think I think he’ll rip it up I’ve seen clips of him in training um and he’s beating people he’s beating people on the pitch one-on-one on Rugby pitches you know he’s he’s GNA he’s gon have guards running with him taking plays out for him so you know he’s going I think I think you know if he gets a bit of space I think he’s coming back as a as a return kick it as he running back as he R back so yeah I think he’s going to rip it up I think he’s going to beat people I think he’s going to surprise people he’s rapid isn’t he yeah I I’ll be there watching the first game when he gets his first start I think my son is Ling it as well Sim s of age yeah he’s super excited I think he’s going to rip it up and yeah and I see hope he does because um you know if you can go there and make a career out of it for say four seasons and then maybe want to come back and different another cycle of maybe with Wales and potentially Lions as well good for him that’s it isn’t it there’s no it doesn’t mean the door shut does it you know um he could go over there like you say it depending on how it goes he can always come back over yeah he’s been back this week in the Taylor Swift con he was think T was I think saw 8 plane riding you know he’s got family over here your friends over here he’ be back and for you know and you know great great for Wales great sportal Wales as well great for him great for w rugby as well W into America P wh on the map as well doesn’t he think a bit of a risk though with all the stuff we just talked about that that door is going to become wider for other players to do the same thing and maybe kind of downbeat a little bit I I think he’s fortunate I think he’s he’s super switched on and I think he understood at a young age that he needed to be as fast as he could yeah um and I think he saw that and i’ done the Sprint training do you understand that so when he started PR rugby I went I went to hary you know he was he was quick and then got quicker yeah and and got good people around him help him get quicker he went after America do the Sprint exra Sprint coaching so I think he’s got good people around he’s a good advice um which has allowed him to thrive as a Winger in you know it’s going to be much more difficult if if you’re probably a forward transition you know into NFL um I think because he’s so quick um especially over that 31 30 mters and he’s got that agility and ability to beat people I think it’s been easier for him to transition I think I don’t think that’ll be easy for other players to do that okay so you don’t think it’s going to be a mass Exodus of you know players I think potentially might be a few people overlooking in Wales and go well they might be some athletes out there right yeah I need to get quicker um you know it’s certainly something that if you look at of r d you look at the W swingers you know they’re quick running in sort of sub with I think the difference with with with him is he’s running 104 you know so and that’s taking him to the next level and given opportunity to to get into that sport yeah lightning is nickname of there is yeah so there also speed of movement see what he’s got he got speed of movement on feet agility you know he’s worked that he’s worked on that in that rugby background so I think that’s what probably is has made him stand out is is his ability to beat players

  1. The WRU basically left LRZ little options. From what I have heard he needed a contract with a Welsh region to continue playing for the national side but due to huge budget cuts none of the Welsh regions were able to offer anywhere near what he’s worth. By all accounts he will earn more in the NFL even if he doesn’t make the 53 man squad whilst if he does make the 53 he will earn vastly more. It not the longest career in the world and players go through hell with diets, fitness and injuries so he is probably making the best money he can whilst he can.
