playing in just well under an hour now Spain in the final of the Euros I’m hyped England are going to bring it home and it’s just a brilliant day to be alive but joining me sure today firstly we have the co-host of the show for this Sunday Funday which I’ll get into in just a second Clark Taylor how are you Clark I am fired up to be here as always it’s Sunday so you know it’s a fun day I don’t necessarily have a dog in the fight but I’ll always support my friends so we’ll see what happens in that big game but I got to give a monster shout out to Melissa those look like real Flags Ben they look like real Flags absolutely absolutely they they they they look very realistic 3D likees I might say uh we got a comment here from Bobby petito first of all hello Bobby I hope you’re having a great day we also have a comment from Melissa shout out to Melissa and we have Shard giving his list now you might be asking what the list is about well basically on today’s show we are giving our top 10 wrestlers women wrestlers of 2024 so far based on in ring work promo work and consistency plus any other factors which people want to consider but one which you cannot consider is wins and losses right this is not a kayf bliss this is not a pound-for-pound ranking this is purely Performance Based right now obviously Champions are featured more on TV but still also joining me here today on this absolutely fine Sunday we have David how are you today David V s that blinking graphic you take that graphic down take that graphic down right now son uh yes go Spain hello everybody very excited to talk about some uh nonf football related things for 45 minutes before I go and uh prepare my bunker uh just on the off that uh Spain do not pull it through but I believe in linal and let’s talk about some good wrestling absolutely let’s talk about some good wrestling and of course there may or may not be some English talents on the list today on my list of course there are because guess what it’s coming home England are winning but also joining us today we have soul although Soul doesn’t appear to have a mic right now well actually Allison I’m lying uh I like I I don’t have my laptop more importantly I’m not in Scotland right now I got my summer holiday cuz I’m in Mexico baby oh yes does not look like Mexico shut up I’m in Mexico yes I Soul got his summer vacation I’m chilling I’m having a good old time drinks are flying all inclusive resort deadly two words for me I just thought I have a bit of fun with it you know so yes I’m in Mexico chilling as always let’s get into a nice Sunday fun day because it ain’t coming home because I’m out of home and I’m enjoying myself what on Earth I mean how on Earth if you kept that one quiet anyway right Mexico is so close to me like no phone call well well Clark if I told you then you would tell everybody it’s like driver pitching wedge well come on down I might where are you at play kmen canun are you’re in canun right now for real yes I’m in canun right now does this look like Scotland does this look like Scotland don’t I didn’t think so but you never know schol has gone through a global pandemic again and global warming this is I don’t think I see I don’t think I see good trees and a shiny blue Skyline in Scotland mate yeah Scotland SC Scotland has got through global war is actually in it won’t be it won’t be as much as a fireball that will hit Scotland if England win it tonight it’s it’s gonna be chaotic and I’m gonna love it oh gosh anyway guys let’s talk a bit of wrestling shall we let’s break down the list basically right we’re going 45 minutes today on the dot because we want to make sure everybody can go and watch the Euros if they want to watch it after the fact but first of all we’re going to give our top 10 women’s wrestlers of 2024 based on in ring promo ability and consistency so basically we’ve got a minute for each option and let’s get things underway I will kick things off with my number 10 and my number 10 on this list it was tough it was between them and Jordan Grace but unfortunately Jordan Grace does just miss out and at number 10 I’m going to go with Julia yes I know she was out for two months this year but in the five months which she has been active she’s put on Banger after Banger after Banger and I said one of the words was consistency she has certainly 1,000% been cons consistent but Clark who do you have in the number 10 slot so I was really proud of you when you read out all of those rules and parameters when it came to this list and I decided who am I to follow rules like that so I’m going to break them right out of the gates and go cheap plug but legit pick at the same time good friend of mine miss a Kate we’re gonna see that interview later today absolutely number 10 out of the gates a great pick an under valued pick an overlooked pick and if you don’t watch the interview you won’t understand why but deserves that number 10 spot and I think we’ll stay in these rankings a lot longer than people expect if not climb them in the near future absolutely to be fair that’s not really breaking any rules I I think that’s a that’s a solid pick they follows the rules but we have the goat of sports podcast in the comments hello I hope you’re having a great day and we also have wrestle takes as well shout out to you camon let’s bring it home today shall we but I want to know David who do you have in that number 10 slot so I have quite a few horable mentions that I will get to later because I don’t want to spoil the list however uh had we have been able to include tag teams Daisy monkey Aris wendu and suzume would have gone into this spot but because we haven’t I’ve gone with a solo act number 10 Miu Watanabe the princess of Princess champion from Tokyo Joi pro wrestling uh she’s been very consistent right at the top of Tokyo joi’s card not my favorite of Tokyo joi’s wrestlers but but you can’t really argue she’s had some fantastic matches this year again being Champion will help with that being their top champion and yeah just very very consistent hard hitting her skull kick is it’s absolutely vile and wonderful and Brilliant and yeah fantastic wrestler good year uh world champion what more can you ask M watan AR at number 10 an absolutely great pick but soul I want to know who are you going for first you’re muted I can’t even see it’s too bright used to actually Sunshine for me for once at the same time I um while I was busy tanning actually made my list up because you know priorities I’m pale as anything I actually need to get some vitamin D for once uh number 10 for me I’ve got Chris statlander in a um I feel like with the her heel turn she did is really rejuvenated her character because she was so long especially in her TBS Championship Reign was still the same now this change I’m very interested in why she’s not higher up is she she’s taking some losses obviously Willow n Gale in the Owen Hart tournament but then again that little sneaky cosing Willow win the finals I actually think these two could get a match all in so yeah number 10 I got Chris dland a very very solid Choice indeed that heel turn has certainly elevated her since it happened meanwhile Bobby batito has Chelsea Green in at number 10 and Shard has I believe Athena while David mge uh would have had Tony storm I mean they’re all very very solid picks guys but now moving on to number nine me personally I couldn’t not mention her could I WR North London forever Mariah May number nine she’s going to win it all in Wembley Stadium just like England uh well it’s not in Wembley Stadium tonight but if england ever compete in Wembley again we won’t see a repeat of 2020 uh and they will bring it home next time but Arsenal will bring it home when they win in Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Final next year but Clark what about you who’s in your number nine slot so I love the Mariah May pick in off recency bias almost had her in this exact spot she’s on my honorable mentions list and not on my list shockingly I think that’s the toughest name that I had to leave off I’m going to be honest there’s another one but we haven’t brought her up yet so I’m going to let that happen organically later but but Willow Nightingale is my at number nine I I think she deserves the spot her TBS Championship run was off the charts all kinds of great matches and the fact of the matter is Willow Nightingale deserves this I I’ve got her at number nine I am really surprised Clark that is way lower than I expected you to have her to be honest with you I thought Willow was going to be top three for you that is a shock indeed but D what about that’s what it doesn’t matter it’s not based on winning losses yeah but this is what I think what anyway David what about you wins and losses matter to me it’s funny you should say that Clark because I also have willow n and Gale at number nine um great year very consistent Year from Willow I think since she’s debuted she’s not had an inconsistent year I think she’s one of aw’s best talents I also have Mariah in honorable mentions I think she’ll be in the list by the end of the year though I think she’s fantastic I think Willow’s been significantly consistent now obviously the CM women Champion picking up from Stephanie v and yeah just been a Lynch pin of aw’s women’s division and one of their best competitors not much more to say Willow is great absolutely what about you Soul who do you have a number nine oh a nine is a tough one for me but I put aena the current Ring of Honor World women’s world champion reason why nine though and not higher is that I feel like aena has reached her ceiling with Ring of Honor I feel like she’s challenged everybody who’s been shown there and when you don’t have that new drive to go for like where are you going and I honestly like no disrespect to her but I want her to drop the championship to Queen amata at death before dishonor is coming up because Queen AATA could lead that division with a new Fresh take on it and what you do with Aina you bring her right up to aw get her feuding with Mercedes for the DBS Championship listen I I’d be down for that and to be honest with you I do agree I love this Athena rain and Ring of Honor she’s been one of the only relevant parts of Ring of Honor but I do agree she’s kind of beaten everybody now so Perhaps it is time to pass the torch I think it’s interesting she was my number one wrestler of the year last year overall and she’s not even in my mentions so far this year wow she’s just she’s still great she’s just not done anything really this year yeah you’re not wrong at all David as David matches she needs to go see Ling yeah absolutely and I do agree with you there David but now let’s move on because I need to move on to my next pick in at number eight she’s back she’s back as a champion she’s back as a baby face but she’s not back as a hugger it is Bailey of course listen she had that WrestleMania moment it was a brilliant WrestleMania moment she won the RO Rumble yes wins and losses don’t matter in this but it meant that you know she went far in that match she’s had a lot of opportunities to show herself and every all his promo she’s done a fantastic fantastic job we all know Bailey’s a tremendous talent but over the last couple of years he’s not had as many opportunities to necessarily showcase herself uh because she was putting over the other members of damage control and that’s very you know that’s very appraisable but this year it’s her year once again and I think she’s had a great year so far so Bailey is my pick in at number eight but what about you Clark who do you have I’ve got at eight EOS Sky Championship rain match after match off the charts done all kinds of great things finally damage wasn’t controlled but there was some sense made of it EOS Sky makes this list at eight a little reluctantly but not really that’s a that’s just a jabit Shard oh I mean I I personally I I I’m going to be honest with you Clark I massively disagree I leave sh Alone come on all he has is Tuesday night have fun leave him alone not on the west I didn’t say notth less I just disagree with him massively at number eight but but David what about you who do you have at number eight not high enough number eight stop stop the bickering both of you like school children number eight uh I’ve gone with mayani the IWGP women’s world champion uh she’s had two of the best matches of the year uh women’s matches of the year for stardom unfortunately I don’t think she’s done a great deal else uh with it which is why she’s not any higher but with the two matches of that quality against Siri and S I don’t see how you can not include it for the strength of those matches is so she’s fantastic she’s always brilliant mayani but to me I wanted a few she’s been good in tags but that’s kind of the nature of the Japanese system a lot of tags less chances to shine in singles competition and yeah so mayani great as always but only in at number eight yeah no no that’s very understandable I think with this it is difficult as well to weigh it in terms of you know how much of the Japanese you know tag matches mean because obviously you don’t see them quite as much but they are often I mean the the the stardom tag man matches are often very similar but they’re always so fun like that is the thing about them like you just have a blast watching but like you said she’s had those two brilliant matches this year I mean I won’t spoil take it to the table but hey she might get a mention on the top 10 matches pay-per-view matches of 2024 thus far you guys will have to tune into that on the wrestling Republic YouTube channel but so I want to know who do you have in that number eight slot well my number eight pick has actually been mentioned ready and it’s by you Mr Allison it’s Bailey um I I do like Bailey what she’s done this year obviously Royal Rumble win and a Championship win at Mania but minus being showcased on a few shows she’s been missing out on some obviously she missed out money in the bank as well the women Championship matches when I feel like it could have deserved the spot for one nonetheless though um I still think it it’s early days but what happens at SummerSlam will definitely be the tiny the Turning of the tides for what this Championship R will mean and for Bailey’s career so nonetheless I’m very excited to see what happens for Summers slam absolutely no it is going to be a fun one I I do agree with you there Bailey she has had a great year so we agree on that pick but will we agree on the next because up next right well it is the current champion the current aew champion the aew Women’s Champion Tony storm Timeless Tony storm her character work her promos her storytelling it’s been so great and I’m going to be be honest with you I think a lot of her matches this year haven’t quite lived up to the hype there’s been a few exceptions especially lately but her character work makes up fret and that is why she’s at number seven on my list but Clark I want to know who’s number seven on your one so at 7 I’ve got the NXT North American women’s champion Kanani Jordan on my list and whether wins or losses matter I don’t care because accomplishments should and that is a heck of a heck of an accomplishment to be the inaugural women’s North American champion she’s put on great matches all year really really actually come along on the microphone as well that was an early knock on her the athleticism has always been apparent anytime she steps in the ring but can she handle herself on the mic she has done an excellent job hanging with quite a carismatic women’s division on NXT and deserves number seven I could see jumping this list very quickly the next time we rank him yeah I mean again performance uh not performances accomplished months wins losses technically don’t matter but what does matter is the fact that because of that title it means she’s on TV regularly being able to have those matches and she’s not on my list Clark but it is a great pick and I’m almost like kicking myself that I couldn’t put her on my list because she has had a brilliant rain so far with that North American championship and just a really breakout year like she’s a contender for breakout star of the year I think there’s no doubt about that to catch up Bobby batito at number nine H steel Danny Luna at number eight Jazelle Shaw at number six those are very very solid picks in skip seven sorry that was number seven that’s me which skipped number seven yeah eight to six that was classic oh dear no you’re good oh no way as a guy that plays craps every time he goes to Vegas you can’t even say the one between eight and six out loud so that’s fair oh yeah no that’s bad luck you never say that number you never say that number I’m doing everything for luck today I’m hoping everything’s crossed the other number you can’t say is the one with the two ones next to each other those two oh okay okay never say that one having more luck than me luck I’m not superstitious but a little stitious what about you David who do you have in the seven slot so for M number seven went with Ben and souls number eight I went with Bailey uh I think she’s been uh the match with Theo is my favorite women’s match of the year so far uh I think it was absolutely terrific and the best match of mania weekend uh I think she did has done very well with the title again not been featured as much I wish she had have been she could have been even higher I really like the match with Piper really like the triple threat I think she’s done a very good job I think the match of sulam will be you know if she retains against Nia I think moving forward I think they have to put her in more meaty story lines but for I think she’s been a very consistent presence this year and done a fantastic job so Bailey at seven a very solid pick indeed yeah I think Bailey’s one you you have to talk about when you talk about you know of course you she’s WWE wins Champion but she’s got to be somebody in consideration on this list but so I want to know who do you have in that seven slot I got to ask first do I look as sweaty as I feel right now because I’m I feel like I’m in a waterfall right now God damn I should have stayed home ah I should have stayed home uh my number seven has been mentioned by Bobby batito it’s the current rev Pro Women’s Champion Danny Luna obviously she won the impact Knockouts tag team champion with jod fret this year as well had the Stellar dog CER match with Alex Windsor as well in rev Pro been really a good representation for rev Pro obvious a member of subculture as well um what her plans be at all the weekend she was meant to face Stephanie vure obviously she um probably debuted an arena 20 miles that way last night but I mean fair enough for the WWE so who will she defend at rev cr’s anniversary 12 maybe erson James it will probably be a stellar match but yeah Danny Danny I Gotta Give number seven for women of the Year perhaps so you’ve gone to Mexico just you could attend that live event to tell Triple H how happy you are that he signed stepan who whoa whoa look just because TK paid for my flight gave me the all inclusive accommodation all right to bring her and try and convince her to go to to aw I understand it Ag and soul hey look I’m an impartial man right now the suit’s back in the Loft back came in Scotland so I’m enjoying myself told you Alison I was going to get my summer vacation of your damn predictions oh gosh I mean Sean says Soul you look like atire Florida native when you see me fighting a gator that’s when the times what time are you playing shuffle board this afternoon pickle ball immediately F daily soon as the daily finishes mate I’ll be right onto the craft tables oh gosh let’s move on shall we to number six now and in at number six I have somebody David’s already mentioned myani I mean she’s had to much of the your contenders in my book and yeah it is true outside of that a lot of her action has been in tag team matches right but like she’s just so consistent and I mentioned consistency as you know one of the three things that I’m looking for uh out of these and yes she is just she’s so criminally underrated and I feel like in a year or two a lot more people are going to be talking about her that is for sure but Clark who do you have in that number six position I have to ask you what time it is cuz it’s it’s Tiffy in the bank it’s Tiffany Stratton it’s Tiffany Stratton at six and dang can she climb this list real quickly depending on how it goes from here and I understand this isn’t a results based list but could even be higher than she already is because of the absolute Charisma that oozes out of Tiffany Straten every time she takes the stage whether it’s wrestling or on the microphone huge win I love the idea of not cashing in the same night finally we’ve got something different and to have somebody with the talent that Tiffany possesses carrying that briefcase is the right decision earned her spot on this list at six great call indeed what about you David well my number six I forgotten my number six pick yes I no I haven’t uh my number six pick is roxan Perez the NXT uh World a women’s world champion right now uh I think she’s a really good year uh consistently good matches on pay-per-view carrying the division had a great match with Jordan Grace uh has had has been sort of the Lynch pin of I think every PL this year that she’s been involved with and yeah just a very good character good promos good matches and she I think she will be called up probably within the next year I think she’s she’s she is is ready for that now when she drops the title but yeah I think she’s in a really good spot right now and for consistency and for General work across the year uh of a very high standard roxan Perez at number six another great pick she doesn’t make it on a my list David but again it’s one of those I’m kicking myself at the fact that she doesn’t I feel like because I don’t watch NXT on a weekly basis right and this isn’t even me giving a plug right now I’m not even joking I watch obviously I watch NXT off the air week in week out but that’s actually how I keep up with NXT most weeks so I actually hear them more talking about it rather than actually watching it but a phenomenal pick no doubt about it but so what about you uh for me number six I have this year’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament winner on the women’s side is Mariah May uh Mariah since she’s joined aw has really hit the ground running obviously being a part of um Tony Storm’s side in aw appearing in the stardom freeway show which is obviously zy Brook side and Mina Shir cow she appeared alongside we had a great tag match in that um with this quick fast lightning turn she did on Tony on Dynamite it’s so so highly interesting to me and the fact that she’s got a speaking segment on this upcoming Dynamite look give her give her like 20 or 30 minutes let her just eviscerate and destroy the Timeless star because what they’re going to bring to all in I I think hey I I know it won’t but if see if Mariah May ESS Tony storm main evented all in Wembley I would have no complaint about it I’m sure the wrestling fans themselves would have no complaint about it those women have built something and they truly do deserve it absolutely there’s zero doubt in my mind about that so I do agree but now I’m going to talk about uh my number five pick because in at number five I have sari and it was close between her and uh I’ve completely uh what oh my gosh why why is the name g for my head let me Che my note iani I was very I was flipping them constantly right because I do prefer the two matches Which ion has had one of them was with s right and I thought iani was the better performer in that match but s also had that absolutely brilliant match against Hashimoto earlier in the year but what really changed my mind was actually yesterday because I saw the match this morning who match against Julia last night was an absolute Banger so in at number five I have sorry if you guys haven’t seen her match with Julia from yesterday at marold make sure you check it out because it is seriously a banger of but what about you Clark who do you have in the number five position at number five and you know I it’s no worries cuz I was really glad that David picked her at number six but I’m going with pop rocks roxand Perez as well NXT Women’s World Champ ion deservedly so at number five I have her really high on the list because I think the multitude of Works she’s put in in this calendar year in particular should not go without mentioning she deserves is may be higher on my list than others but I I think roxan deserves that Spotlight she’s put in the work she’s put in the promos every week on Tuesday and then those matches deliver every single time and you can’t take that away from her no doubt about it again I’m kicking myself I wasn’t able to put her in my list but David who do you have at number five oh this one was hard at number five I’ve gone for Tony storm the a women’s world champion nobody on this list moved around when I was making my list more than Tony at one point she was number two at one point she was number 10 it I I couldn’t Place her because she is the character I’m most interested in in all of women’s wrestling right now I think she is an exceptional character and I think she is so entertaining and it’s so my thing and I think that the angle with Mariah is one of the best heel turns aw have ever done her matches she’s had some crackers I think the one against Thunder Rosa has been her best work but I also really didn’t like the DI match I thought the shirakawa match was good I thought you know there’s a lot of I haven’t seen much from her this year in the ring that’s made me go wow so for the same reasons as you Ben I I haven’t got her higher but her character is so much my thing and I love the character so much that I have put it up there at number five but I I love her so much it’s just it was really hard to go between my personal biases and the cold hard facts so she’s gone somewhere in the middle number five and also with something like this is difficult to balance story promo and also in ring work because like we’ve said she’s had a couple of great in ring matches but she’s also had a couple of a little bit underwhelming ones this year but so I want to know who you have in this number five position H oh why is the Sun so hot ah H number five I have somebody who crossed for the Forbidden portal went to WWE defended another company’s title and walked away the Victor you weren’t have heard of that in Vince MCM era is Jordan Grace H Jordan has been probably one of the top two acts in TNA right now alongside Scottish man himself Joe Hendry the fact that she went over to NXT defended her title and walked away with the win and had people from NXT come over as well phenomal in itself Peri at the rumble obviously I mean in fact if she doesn’t become WWE Bound by next year I would be absolutely shocked I mean come on imagine her and Julia her and Stephanie vur her and Bailey like she will become probably the hottest women free agent in 2025 no doubt in my mind absolutely no I do I do agree with you there soul I think it is certainly very possible that she is the Highlight the talking point of free agency this year but now let’s move on and let’s move on to talk uh about the number four pick because in at number four I have somebody well Clark I think you yeah you already mentioned her in at number nine I’m going to mention her now Willow in at number four for me yeah she’s taken a few losses this year but losses wins and losses don’t particularly matter in this one she’s been performing week in and week out and week in week out she’s been having very very great matches right now she hasn’t necessarily had a match of the your contender but just every week she’s you know she’s delivering really really solid bouts and at that point you’re like well I have to respect that and she really has been the Workhorse of that aew women’s division this year so far so in at number four willow also her character work during the story with Chris dander with promos as well especially in the Mercedes Monae Feud were very impressive indeed but Clark who do you have at number four so this is a this is an interesting pick and I think a lot of people surprised but I have Ria Ripley at four on my list um I think the work has been incredible yes she missed time due to injury but that return off the charts we’re talking a lot about promo work in ring work matters wins and losses not necessarily but in ring work matters the in ring work has been good even in in losses a and and Ripley Ripley takes the fourth spot on my list a and I have no issue with it but I don’t want people to think that I uh I was reluctant putting her her at four in any way it would be higher if not for the Miss time because consistency is a factor yeah absolutely know that that that is a great pick as well it’s difficult when somebody’s been out for so long but when they have been there they’ve been doing so good it’s difficult to balance it so I think that is very valid indeed to catch people up on Bobby potito’s list Saul Rooker at number six Alex Windsor at number four and N Samuels sorry Alex wi into number five and Nina Samuels in at number four very solid list indeed Barbie but David who do you have at four at four I’ve gone with uh I always like to have somebody who I think has done a lot of great independent work this year uh as well as being uh contracted to impact I’ve gone with Masha slamovich uh because she’s done some terrific work in so many different promotions and she’s excelled in so many different promotions she’s been the highlight of a lot of those cards a very strong presence just terrific and I always think if you can do it in in many different promotions I think that’s a sign of how strong and over you are so yeah phenomenal wrestler and I’m going with Mas slamovich at number four a phenomenal Choice another one which I’m kicking myself she isn’t on my list because she deserves to be but so who do you have in number four uh number four Qui and number four I have is a willow n Gale and the reason why I put Willow so high is obviously winning the art women championship last year she got to the semifinal year against Mar the fact that she had a TBS Championship run and the cmml Women’s Championship run this year you got to put that up in the list to have that two accolades from two different companies she’s also one of the most loved universally aw Stars I want Chris and Willow to get a m singles match at all in don’t put on the Buy in let these women kill it doing a street fight do it in a a cage match let these two women go off with like the Rivalry they have like yeah I I love Willow I’m sure everybody here loves Willow it’s Willow Nale a great choice indeed so I mean again we agreed we’ve agreed on two of these places but Clark I’ll get you in in just a second to talk about number three but before Banger I called Willow the Workhorse of the aew women’s division vur has been the Workhorse of women’s wrestling this year and along the way there have been a couple of matches which haven’t been so good but that’s going to happen when ett’s active as she is so hey uh Stephanie v is a is number three on my list I’m sorry guys my speech is going all over the place because I’m talking too fast it’s and that is just not something I had on my bingo card in 2024 is that live Morgan would Lacross as so crazy and so cold and so calculated that she could out she could out intimidate somebody as intimidating as Ripley and that’s why I have her a three it’s it’s mind-numbing to me her character work has been exceptional so that is very understandable but David what about you oh he was either the north tag team championship of Emerson you’ve got to put a real lot of respect on Rio for what she’s done I’m I’m honestly surprised that Rio’s not been scouted and honestly it shocked me to that Rio is somebody who can work a very hardcore style she can work a very strong style she can also work a very technical style Rio Richley right now is the biggest unseen women star in the United Kingdom scene right now and look if TNA or WWE or even aw put up a boot camp and she attends in and they look at her and they see her accolades and history they’ll give her a contract right there right now no doubt in my mind so rho the icw women’s and progress women Championship is my number three women’s wrestler of 2024 a phenomenal pick Soul truly is Rock s parz both Chris and Bobby say on that but I mean you mentioned REO and I agree right it’s a miracle that she’s not been signed by somebody yet but I think she’s just killing it in the UK I’ve mentioned workhorses from different divisions you know around the world but when it be when it comes to British wrestling she is the work course not only of women’s wrestling but of just the entire British scene in general and that’s why Rio is actually my number two pick she is at number two for me same reasons you said basically Soul so I won’t repeat myself but Clark I want to know about you who do you have in at number two everybody knows I love controversy and um so yeah my last two picks are going to be controversial but I still have Bailey at number two I don’t care what anyone says she’s carried that belt as well as anybody the work she’s done has been better than any of the work she’s been surrounded by by Miles every time you put her out there she finally gets her flowers at Mania deservedly so Bailey’s my number two could have easily been number one if it’s any other year absolutely that’s very valid as well but David what about you you’re back you’re back in it who do you have at number two so at list manin I’ve gone with sé I don’t actually know how you pronounce her name I think that’s how you pronounce her name um just like iwatani has some incredible matches I think she’s been she’s obviously now the new Mario Gold World Champion I think she’s been sort of the Lynch pin of that promotion after Julia’s injury I think she’s you know one of the best in ring performers in the world I think she has just really excelled Mara golden been that sort of Shining Light for that company in the early months when obviously Julia who was meant to be their star kind of disappeared so yeah a a tough list with a lot of excellent uh names from that promotion and other Japanese promotions but I have ultimately gone with Sur at number two a brilliant pick no doubt about it but Soul what about you who do you have number two I don’t know I was actually looking there’s a paragliding couple up there I think it’s just tkm elz are holding hands but I mean nonetheless with aggressing with that and number two Shad is gonna laugh at this my number two pick is the current NXT Women’s Champion roxan Perez I’ve got a number yeah shad’s gonna kill me for this one actually he’s gonna laugh at me for this one nonetheless roxan is somebody who when she beat Lyra for the championship at standard deliver I was very shocked I thought they were going to do the whole K paxley and Lyra thing representing Trish and Mickey from WrestleMania 2022 I believe it was um didn’t that but Roan has really stood into position of her own uh doing this whole turn being the you know kind of like the empress and gatekeeping for women’s wrestling in NXT if you stand up to roxan and you fail you know you’re not ready and whoever does def FR her I think will really be a true standout for the NXT woms division going forward also she also stood up to CM Punks which is good in my books oh gosh but now Rock sarez a brilliant Shout by Clark well actually before I get on to your number one I need to give my number one I almost missed my own number one pick because in at number one I’ve got EOS Sky the reason why I have Yos sky is very simply because I mean she had that phenomenal match with Bailey but not only that she had a couple of solid title defenses to start the year and then since she’s lost the title she had a great a brilliant run in the King of the Ring tournament she’s been doing some great promos where she’s basically going insane and then yesterday today in marold she had an absolute Banger as well she’s consistent and she does it on such a high level and she’s just somehow still underrated despite the fact that she was WWE women’s champion earlier this year that’s crazy to say in at number one EOS sky but David who do you have number one on your list well with all of the uh all of the people I’ve just mentioned as well as my mentions of Becky Lynch M yam Mash Julia toir hasimoto Alex winds Stephanie Mercedes mon Mariah May Hanan s Ron Queen Amat and Jordan Grace my number one is also EO Sky uh I think that I think that she’s had a phenomenal year I think that Heria match with with Bailey was fantastic I think she was the MVP of both of the Ring tournaments having just outstanding matches across the whole bracket and then obviously going to Japan and having her fantastic match with utami hayashita um just an incredible wrestler Great Character really good work in WWE and yep top class uh eios sky is my number one women’s wrestler of 2024 so far I’m absolutely delighted we agree on that one David but what about you Soul who do you have in number one who’ you think mate it’s Timeless Tony storm the aw women’s world champion to go from the whole sex pistol imagery with the punk rock gear then the outcast and to go for this um you know Turner Classic Movie character that she’s done right now is the biggest character shift in wrestling but the most deserving and needed she’s run with this whole style she’s had great matches in 99 funder Roosa Mina shawa appearing in the first aw W wrestler to also appear in stardom as well with this new deal going on with the championship is historic in itself and with this thing of Mari it’s money mate and it’s story she is the best character going in wrestling right now her rign has been exceptional and if we’re correct and she’s going to drop it to Mariah all in it’s going to elevate a new star coming into the company he give tony some time off as well this could be the death of the Timeless character in itself on Ry so I got to give it to Timeless onlyy store great phenomenal pick Bobby mattito goes Kenzie Paige Chris lcla goes Bailey but Clark in at number one who are you GNA go I hear where everybody’s coming from I totally hear soul but I got to do something really quickly because my pick is also Timeless I can’t be wearing that when I announce it it’s it’s also Timeless Tony storm it’s the best character work currently active in all of pro wrestling the in ring work adds up as well but to go from where she was to where she is now to play that type of a role I’m more afraid of losing her to Hollywood than I am of her switching companies or losing steam in the professional wrestling industry because I don’t know how often you have people display this type of character work after putting in this much work as a professional wrestler we finally unlocked this level of talent right it’s like a new level of a video game you don’t see it often it needs to be celebrated she is timeless she deserves it no matter where this character goes I trust her because the direction has been so solid she’s navigated the waters so properly since the beginning no matter where it goes from here I trust Tony storm now in a way that I did not before and you cannot say that about many performers in this industry um especially as established as Tony storm and she deserves that number one spot no doubt about it that is very interesting me and David went for eios Sky you and Saul went for Tony storm there’s a bit of a divide but it’s an even divide but on that note guys oh Alison Alison Al I something real quick give me give me David give me David as a
