let’s hear from both lukee and Michael their thoughts after the day and what tomorrow might mean I think it definitely helps being able to play here last year um you just have more course knowledge more experience out here um but yeah I mean that’s kind of why us amers we try and get as many pro starts as we can um these past couple years gotone I think six seven something like that um just to kind of get ahead of the curve a little bit and see it’s like get some data points under your belt um so yeah it kind of just feels like another tournament at this point very similar similar to last year um yeah uh just kind of feels like another round of golf out there it was good it was definitely a a grind um from that back nine for sure but I definitely I definitely grinded for sure definitely coming on 17 H that drive and knowing that I’m going to have 250 in for a third shot was pretty brutal but knowing that if I could just kind of make a par here and hit two good shots on 18 make birdie I can be somewhat in contention for tomorrow um it’s just it’s just exciting what of the last two weeks obviously being in contention last week as well taught you about yourself and your game realizing that you know it’s it’s possible to be out here and and um and win you know that’s my goal and you know I think over since us opened here it’s it’s been a lot of progress a lot of learning I’d say um just really Within Myself I think I think it’s been you know I’ve had a lot of close losses over the last couple months and you know I’ve I’ve really wanted to win a lot so I’m trying not to let that get in my mind and and screw it up for me I’m going to try to stay in my process again and and keep going most golfers at most levels say you learn a lot from failure or losing you just heard Luke Clanton say it two straight weeks a chance on Sunday it is a very common question and refrain we ask of the players what have you learned from that last time but for Luke Clinton who’s still a junior in college what can he take away from the rocket mortgage the indifferent Sunday that maybe has a different uh ending come tomorrow that he’s got a bright bright future on the PGA tour just whenever he decides to put a pee in front of his name and turn professional he’s going to have a great wonderful career he’s going to win tournaments on the PGA tour this should give him confidence that he can do it um no question about it now when you when you what do you learn during this process as well there’s his coach Jeff Lehman watching um you what you learn is how was I feeling what was I doing when I you know today with the putter was not performing in fact he lost near over one and a half Strokes on the greens he was 63rd in the field in Strokes game putting and this is a guy who was seventh yesterday so a big fall off there but the great thing is he got that bad putting round out and he still technically has a chance it may been something he was thinking it may be something technical that’s what they’re trying to figure out but usually in putting it’s almost always something in in how you’re thinking or or how you get out of rhythm or out of your routine and uh you know again Jeff is so good at getting you mentally where you need to be that I think uh you know that’s part of the reason why Luke is so good but you mentioned the intangible Steve in the pregame show all the things that he has positive person uh those are such great attributes you know we’re going to talk about Jordan be in a little bit but Jordan seems to be getting into the negative spiral other than today and this young man always seems to have a positive spin on things and I think that’s what uh is in in the DNA of all great players when they’re playing great yeah extremely talented supremely confident and the most positive person Trey Jones the head coach of Florida state has ever had on his team you put that recipe in the pot for tomorrow knowing the ability that he has to go low and and we just heard from Luke and Michael Thor Boron trip and it certainly wasn’t a l fa Fair attitude but they’re like well it’s just golf it’s just another round of golf this is what this next Generation brings to the PGA Tour their preparedness the ability to say you know what I can compete we did not usually hear that from the kids 10 20 30 years ago maybe other than Tiger Woods well yeah other than tiger um but tiger changed all that for sure but the the other thing you know along with the equipment I think it’s a snowball effect of seeing guys that you’ve competed against in college have success you know Luke Clanton competed against Nick Dunlop and saw him go and win a tournament he knows hey I beat Nick Dunlap over the course of you know U at times in college so I know if Nick can do it I can do it so there’s that Snowball Effect for these guys that are having success and you you mentioned Michael Thor Boron and you know seeing ludvig Oar being the coming out of the PGA Tour University as number one player he says if he can do it I can do it it’s it’s so that’s part of the reason too why we’re seeing these young men um making such a big splash in such a big way quickly yeah the PGA Tour you ranking a wonderful initiative four or five years now these guys have a path somewhere to play if they earn it and spend three or four years in college so I think the blueprint is in place for more players like oberg Thor Boron and Clanton to have a ton of success on the PGA tour

within reach. but i think both will have to shoot 64 or better to have a chance at winning.
