Tiger Woods has always played in the opening morning in his seven previous Ridder Cups he’s lost five and one2 how is he going to perform here at the edge of [Applause] 42 I think he’ll perform very well doy I think it’s a new tiger on the te Europe tiger even more from the left than what Fleetwood had this from an even 140 could be a nice pitching wedge slight breeze helping and from the [Music] right that was a good shot from Woods very aggressive with a slow putt like this you’re going to take some break out so it’s just a guessing game which way is it going to go tiger that wasn’t his most aggressive C for Tiger partner was out of the hole the just the four will leave Molinari with four feet it’s not a good [Applause] sign but look for a very safe shot from tiger that’s very safe amazing shot from Tiger there just took dead [Applause] aim Reed is already driven right down the middle of the Fairway tiger trying to aim it up the left this straight so important to try and hit Fairways you know give yourself both chances to P for birdie it just takes so much pressure off the ball’s sitting okay but there’s a huge clump of grass the club going to have to go through to get to the back of the ball this is a bit of a gamble here and he he’s aiming at least 75 to 80 yards left of this green wow he’s chopped it out there if he gets past the tree which it does that’s a great look straight up the green from his third shot clearly an excellent leave from that bad Li in the rough Jay you seeing every shot and watching them walk is it uh just my imagination that tiger looks just a little bit a little bit stiff does he look loose and flexible to you just looks just looks a bit stilted in his movements he looks like a 42-year old guy has had a lot of operations yeah good point he looks the way he should he also seems to be a guy that won last week I wouldn’t worry about him yeah yeah well you know what Jay we’re on borrowed time with him and let’s enjoy every second of it what a pleasure to see him back in this condition again playing winning and watching him play these shots there haven’t been many better I that is just absolutely magnificent I mean [Music] really Tiger Woods Drive off four reads in the rough left Woods is sure that carries that trap we shall see and all R still has a p on six for a half let’s not forget that one nothing but a gouge out from here for Tiger at the fourth even with all of his power he’ll only be just hacking this back somewhere he can get it 50 60 yards he’s done well [Applause] right he’s left himself 130 on a slight UPS slope with this club in hand he is likely going to have to fly past the hole there’s some back to front slope in the back portion of the Green Hill to deal [Applause] with bang on line for Tiger Woods but shoot of the flag [Applause] seen tiger swing soft one thing that I noticed last week Sam which I really enjoyed watching with tiger was the amount of flare that he was putting into his practice swings 159 for Tiger after a perfect t- shot coming in over the bunkers which are not in play well short of the hole just calls for a little draw from right to left left Breeze coming from wacking a touch of face TIG run six he can certainly reach the green see how soft he Swings with this so much better isn’t it I think he likes it though it’s way left [Music] well tiger can see the green not where he’s going to land at possibly but he’s all on just walked out hard pan over here not a very good [Applause] lie the two short game shots that we’ve seen h d the five third and now this one are just first class so this uh t-shot really fits tiger’s eye who likes to move everything left to right and there’s a huge gallery on this massive Mound that goes all the way down the left side of the seventh one of the best viewing holes on the entire Golf Course especially until you get to the last four five 6 10 12 deep Parts here left of seven come on down to pick up the T quick a good indication that he’s a good shot going just sneak back on The Fairway perfect position for [Applause] Target done a lot of good golf this morning Tiger [Applause] Woods well Tiger’s looking at this from all angles he’s actually looking at from the low side so gently downhill but it doesn’t look like there’s much break the green book says there’s a little bit of left to right to it depending upon the speed I’m not sure if you’d feel comfortable starting it outside the left Edge Reed has a more simple and shorter birdie putt to come should tiger Miss it’ll be Fleetwood for par next I believe with this to win the hole not even close tiger amazing for all his astonishing achievements he’s only ever once won a ride a [Applause] he can aim it just right of the hole play his little stock cut up shot Against the Wind take some curve out of [Music] it that’s an excellent shot from Goods it should just stick there Ali Ali says on the stand behind go go Woods at nine another nicely play CHP CH from [Applause] Tiger Tiger has a reasonable lie here 133 but it’s uphill going to play close to 140 a little bit of wind hurting from this angle that stuff is so dense you there you go tiger not easy Jay no it’s certainly not he can’t see any of the green he’s well below the level of the green but it is facing him that’s going to help you just cannot miss this long left there’s that bunker you short side yourself you’re chipping downhill so Reed is in the good angle here obviously tiger would like to hit it inside of Patrick’s wind starting to gust a little bit more and it’s just to him at the President’s Cup and asked him about his chipping and he said the issues with his chipping had been due to trap nerves in his back prior to the operation and I thought well that uh doesn’t sound uh doesn’t sound quite right might be a little por he’s telling us there pory pies and I’ll tell you what I think he might have been spot on because he’s chipped like a genius ever since ago maybe he was just making up his mind that was the right [Applause] shot well tiger was none too uh impressed when he had laid up and then Patrick hit it in the water in the previous hole so would have been a couple nervous moments there when that ball was leading back this just fits tiger’s eye aiming it right at the two European balls about 25 and 28 ft left and just playing his little saw shot into this right hole location I can see him getting aggressive here with Reed’s good [Music] shot W I’m Afra not even close [Applause] Wicked lie here for Tiger unlikely to reach the green but he got a lot of Club on it trying to run it up but it was Reed that really messed things up here from the Fairway short sided himself this match is likely over get in the hole well Play Chip Shot from Tiger Woods not sure it’s going to be enough but it was another display of some good short game tiger to go one up he’s got the line is he oh yeah he can’t believe it missed I’m not sure how it missed it was left to right earlier that was on the left Edge just hug the edge but it’s a [Applause] half it’s 173 to carry the water directly online here and that’s the key number you’ve got to cover that but look for this to be a little bit right very visually intimidating [Music] t-shot solid iron shot from Tiger WS I don’t think anyone’s more fired up the tiger day so slow up there nobody yet has got it to the [Applause] [Music] hole so all the pressure heaped onto Tiger Woods with Patrick Reed finding the same Hazard as Tommy Fleetwood found on that right hand side this is way down the left trying to cut it back but that’s not coming back we saw yesterday that some of a thicker rough on the golf course on the left of the third don’t think he likes it [Music] get the feeling I have to hold that tiger has stalked this one from all angles the must make Europe is already in and four this is to have the hole uphill for the first half as it starts to lose speed up near the hole it’s going to want to break from left to right CH has read hit his bunker shot J was a bit close to Tiger couldn’t answer Reed hasn’t his bunker shot so he still have a chance of the half no they gone through up great stuff from Europe Woods fourth Tey been feding the ball for a while now want us to start down left but he’s not cutting it and that’s straight out that trap I’m not sure it’ll get over it they not reach it what going with a wood here which is well it’s not impossible but it’s damn difficult let me tell you squirted out up there in line it’s not that bad might run up oh it’s a for Tiger w he’s tempting me to hit driver you Patrick ra there he’s tempting me to hit driver just begging for a good iron shot it’s one of those spots where the slopes are going to feed it in there so a good shot can become a great shot wind in his face and some from the right just starting to gust a little bit as he takes his address position come on three out 10 and TR tiger long range birdie putt for Tiger this overall should have some right to left but at the end it might come back left to right never got it to the end woefully short tiger did give Franchesco put this L to win the Raider cup Medina well they’ve had to contend with the crowd I don’t know you could hear in the background there they’re actually contending with a dog as well he’s out watching the golf maybe solid from Tiger Europe two up in match three you remain two [Applause] up tiger needs to get it in the Fairway and up in the driving area Narrows in molar has gotten it up there it’s nearly single file in that portion of the Fair [Applause] away very slow one up the hill breaking left to right at first right to left at the end [Applause] it’s only 53° that’s about 11 12° centigrate for you guys that go with the metric system with the wind it is still cold even though the sun is out come on looked like a bit of a late hit from Tiger no but all good it looked like he was just a little nervy at that that outside chance here Tigers had the green book out this one should be breaking right to left at the end there it’s trying to come back and a pup finally drops for the US team Tiger Woods pointing towards a few of the fans are cheering away for the Americans as Jay said two cuts on the last two holes to win those holes and Tiger Woods taking advantage at seven elevated tier here at eight green sits down in the ball just absolutely surrounded by people amazing slopes for natural viewing a little bit shorter today 197 wind straight off the right you ideally want to hit your ball right where the shadow of the flag is behind the hole gives yourself the best opportunity to make the putt is it going to hold on it does little bit different angle here for Tiger not as much downhill in the first half as Tommy had so this is a slightly slower Putt and as for the 51,000 people here that’s the people that counted it looks like there’s way more [Applause] we see most players just hitting the three were down the ninth and still being able to get up in two but tiger out with the driver which will definitely bring the Walter on the left hand side into play should it head that way needs to settle no tiger and Reed have the exact same chip here so tiger was his fourth after driving in the water going to give Reed a little read no punt [Applause] intended T Wich from the 10th t a must hit Fairway we saw yesterday almost every player that missed the Fairway had no impact in the hole they were almost played out of the hole instantly no problem for Tiger Woods Prime position here Reed has already played out of the rough from 170 from a terrible line and ran it up the hill on the front part of the Green Woods 153 uphill four yards into the win another 12 at least least and this needs to go oh it’s inch perfect from Tiger [Applause] Woods tiger best short distance pter of all time in my opinion Tiger Woods not often he misses those but the Ridder cup offers a completely different pressure I’d imagine he’s going to be up to it yeah no doubt for Tiger and that game heads back to all square after a fast start from M Arian Fleet where they’ve been pinned back on the 10th [Applause] [Music] green 179 here at 11 holes located up on the top shelf about 176 maybe 175 there’s a steep slope that leads back down to the lower level [Music] I’m not sure the ball’s going to stay there it’s just going to trundle back towards where we saw the pin cut yesterday afternoon difficult pu from down there for tiger in a couple of twos here already steep slope here Tigers got to negotiate up the hill good looking stroke has he hit it though no he hasn’t oh he’s going to be unhappy Tiger’s turn on the 12th European boys perfectly down the middle of the Fairway really narrow Fairway this 12th wins almost straight down today but maybe a fraction from the right hand side no tiger four going left oh and it’s sunk in there imagine as it was turning over to the left he’ have prefer to just see it end up in that bunker get a clean light terrible lie for Tiger Woods after missing this Fairway left you can’t see any any of the green can’t see any of the ball I always feel I always fear for Tiger when I see him in situations like that after four backups you just you just you know you feel weary for him in fact back to the 13th and woods perfect t- shot Perfect action in fortunately not the perfect Club just a yard short for Tiger right at it two down they hurt so much just hurts so much you got that front pin you got to attack it Tiger Woods in the water at 13 so has to go back to the Drop Zone his fourth shot oh nicely played the US trouble in this one third match two down to molari and Fleetwood four defeats and two halves in his two previous appearances not this year Woods third well he has to go up and down the game’s over more lightly miss the hold it to give him a chance [Applause] they’ve just been outgunned today I’m afraid woods and Reed woods and Reed have made three birdies 13th both of them made Bogies on the same hole while larian Fleet with 10 birdies between the two of them great view of Tiger Woods’s P this one needs to go in to keep them in the match byebye no and that’s didn’t even give it a chance it’s another R the cup defeat for Tiger Woods it’s another R the Cup victory but Tommy Flatwood his first three in Ryder Cup action Franchesco Molinari and Tommy Flatwood have become a fantastic partnership for Thomas bjor eight points in a row for Europe the match score 83 one left in the go I am here ready to watch tiger and Bryson try and take down the dynamic duo 141 for Tiger straight down Breeze hle hitting in a little bit of a bowl but ideally want to keep it below the hole wood right over pin but that’s a tough P down there good shot though he hasn’t been on I was somewhat surprised that he’s playing in the afternoon but this is throughout his career when he’s been good he’s dug down he’s he’s controlled his wedges something he didn’t have at the beginning of his career but anyone that has won the Championships that he’s won has the ability to dial in a distance that’s what he needs right here let’s go afraid Europe out in the middle of the fair you can just see where Fleet would hit his shot too that’s a strange one from Tiger his bunker shot look outside it’s well outside molinari’s fourth [Applause] shot when you’ve been around this place year in and year out you know you do not go above the hole when it’s cut over in this left sale this one when it goes over at about the last third it starts going down a steep step it just needs to be barely rolling I mean you should be able to read the serial number on this ball when it goes over that Hill if it’s going to have the right speed it’s going to have some right to left as well but this is all about just trying to not run it 5 six feet past the hole Pace was perfect Tiger Woods a hole in front on the fifth green pop up for Tiger ruffing Fringe line he needs to land it right about there and then just let it take the down slope to the hole it’s an aggressive line but he’s got the club face wide this going to be a huge swing straight up in the air [Applause] tiger from the top of the hill into a left to right wind down to a green that sits in a Amphitheater well especially from the left side 20 30 deep just sitting down on the bank out of the wind in the sun it’s a great spot and they’re all waiting to watch tiger see if you can’t pull a little bit of magic plays about four or five yards shorter than the actual distance due to the downhill nature of the shot you cannot miss it long left it’s straight downhill to the hole best opportunity to make a putt is from about a 45 degree angle short right of the hole hate to see that happen to him again this afternoon hopefully him and tiger can dig deep and at least get Bryson round to the 18th because it could be crucial tomorrow in his singles game be nice if he actually gets to see the rest of the golf course tiger knows he needs to make this one he’s had a good look it’s a subtle little putt it’s downhill ever so slightly if you try and dye it in this is going to be a little bit of a left to right tiger was beaten yesterday morning by Fleetwood and Molinari and this morning he was beaten by Fleetwood and Molinari he’s come another one goes by for left hand side got it back in play to hear it John Ram is on the green so tiger will need an up and down and he’s given himself a great chance beautifully ped pitch there from Tiger Woods he is moving so slowly guys calling his cadd in on the last three greens to help him with the Shortline putts but he’s almost going at a snails pace here trying to remain very focused very little in this part he’s had to scramble on the last couple of holes he’s having to scramble here for a par but it’s a p part for a win don’t expect the old Tiger to miss [Music] these expect expected from tiger oh that’s a huge Miss there from Tiger such Advantage for Ram playing the hole Ram three parts Woods misses a five footer Ram stays one [Music] up nice t- shot from Tig well the wind on the fifth just seems to have turned a little so it’s just a very slight Zephyr into his face 148 on the front up a little up a little gorgeous St standing [Applause] shot Warren has Ram about 8 ft behind the hole is that what finished he’s just yeah he’s just inside where tag is putting there’ll be a huge Roar around this scen if this goes in there’s a lot of American supporters around this [Applause] [Music] green Tiger Woods second shot to six from the the left hand side rough John Ram is on the Green Oh and tiger probably would have expected that one to release more coming out of the rough but got a soft bounce there is John Rams ball on the left hand side of your screen Tigers birdie part the sixth long way across this sixth green it will get to about there and pick up some speed and start turning left to right towards the hole that’s a perfect line for Tiger Woods Shake of the head though CU he knows that that one won’t be conceded for his [Applause] part Tiger Woods for the half of the hole on the sixth already one down he can’t afford to be missing puts like this yep right in the middle for Tiger Woods R remains one [Applause] up Ram safely down the difficult seventh Fairway this is Woods this is left is it no shout of four this is dangerous [Music] bad third shot into the seven for Tiger Woods horrible drive it knocked it out to [Music] here can see John Rams ball behind the flag and it’s going to be tiger to put [Applause] first lot of Swing on the putt here for Tiger he’s aiming a long way left of the hole and these greens considerably quicker than they’ve been for the first two days [Applause] B not that quick that will be a gimme now for John RAM and he will go two up on the great man tiger pin back left back right sorry Ram’s back left he doesn’t like it and that is not the place to miss this eighth green it’s a very difficult chip from down there tiger a it’s a bit Speedy that’s Ram’s marker virtually stoned there about a foot left of the PIN Ram straightened at the end so he knows if he hits this too hard it could well stay out on the top [Music] side solid F from Tiger never really let anyone down in that department but conceded to Ram so Ram Remains Two up [Applause] not that it was exclusively their intention you have to [Applause] say great t- shot from Tiger aggressive 288 left up to the ninth for Tiger Woods [Applause] four you just have to laugh at how good some golf shots are that is just top draw from Tiger [Applause] Woods well there’s a hill that is absolutely packed surrounding this green here and they will erupt if tiger holds this for an eagle and he’s certainly got a great chance cuz they’re so so little movement in this he has had pretty good touch so far today he’s had a gentle touch he’s tried to drop everything at dead [Music] best isn’t he T it some amazing shots today in this match R has missed his P so Tiger Woods to win the 12th and get it back to all square he was two down after eight holes he’s all square after [Applause] 12 third shot for Tiger Woods all square with John Ram we’ve already seen him hit a couple of shter shots into the greens to Perfection today 101 yards to go oh come up a little bit short not sure whose putts going to be first there Tiger Woods P for par on 13 we know that John Ram slightly closer than this for a birdie well not quite for Tiger Wood so John Ram will probably be conceded the hole at worse he’ll have two puts for the win back to 14 and woods long way back third shot we’re not sure where Ram is he’s 169 here to go it’s a long way but he is Tiger Woods that’s okay that’s not great that’s gone off Crow are urging it to run on I have to say so am I what can you do eh t with his long birdie partt of 14 he’s won down down RS about 6 8 ft maximum this is Tiger he’s capable of anything this man anything it’s not going to reach it’s not going to reach so great chance now for Ram to go two up with four to play for the half stay one down four to play crucial here too is it’s left it’s left that was exactly the same partt that he missed with Molinari those years ago in the final singles Ram goes two up well it’s an amazing shot Ram hit him because he drilled it in very low he must have taken a lot of Club there knocked it down really didn’t get the ball up in the air at all you know what I mean down his name stamped on the ball capital letters now it’s yeah now it’s coming back across slightly in if it’s drawn into yeah you got it there was a little back stop behind where Rah was hit it when she could pitch it and try and suck the ball back but in this wind off the left tough needs one of his super best here come on Tiger Come on tiger oh not good enough I’m afraid and he knows [Applause] it I think Thomas has done a great job with the singles out he’s kept a couple of strong players in those last five four five groups where the Americans obviously Four Points behind had to go very heavy early on now Woods two down we follow it all the way down I don’t think it’s going to reach it it no it’s gone left anyway doesn’t matter if it reaches it’s not going in so a chance but John Ram three [Applause] up Tiger has to go out at 163 can’t afford to go dor me down with a half terrific shot did we expect anything else from Tiger Woods don’t think so he’s got a worried look on his face Tiger but he’s got a wonderful opportunity here just a multitude in the crowd and it’s amazing how quiet they go we know the Roars they can make when a player holds a p but it’s so different when a player is just about to make a putt again this put’s going to swing quite a bit quite significant from left to right it’s not one of those that he can just rattle at the hole take something out of it hit it with some steam it’s a good sort of cup left of the hole [Music] [Applause] one of the narrowest fairways on the course this and you really have to find it if you want to try and get to that back left pin where it’s stuck today also it’s quite always difficult to align yourself up on the hole Fairway just sits a little further right than the t aims downwind off the right so him down the right side it’s a very fast Fairway as well that’s never no the crowd loved it tiger hates it [Music] you have to hand it to Tiger because he’s really not been in this match the entire way round because this is where he’s played most of his goal from in the rough and he’s had to try and hack it out he might be able to trundle this one on the green using the hard ground and the wind behind but he’s got a muscle it a little unlucky just caught the up S there for Tiger but again it’s a huge Advantage for John Ram just a sand wedge or a wedge in his [Applause] hand back to 17 do anyone else can do what Dustin Johnson just did it’s this
