Hitting Fairways and Losing Strokes?!
As we continue to learn about the Strokes Gained metric, we find that distance can be more important than hitting fairways. KFT player Cody Blick started using Strokes Gained data to see where he could improve the most. Through his research, Cody found that his lack of distance cost him strokes, even when he was getting the ball in play.
Cody started training with SuperSpeed and saw an increase in both his club head speed and distance. The added distance allows him to use shorter clubs on par fours and par fives, giving him more chances to make birdies and shoot lower scores.

I always knew I hit it short you know I started using the stat program and and it would spit out Strokes gained you know off the tea approach around the green and putting obviously and everything was was solid and you know the closer to the hole I got the better I was but off the tea was was negative so I kind of dove into a little more and looked at you know speed you know swing speed ball speed and I was hitting a lot of Fairways and I was still losing Strokes gained off the te and I mean that’s just such a major red flag you know as soon as I saw that and you know I yeah I just had to find a solution and uh I found it
