[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] this golf has long been proud of its independence since our Origins we’ve said no to the normal 9 to5 and embraced a lifestyle filled with the unknown it’s had its ups and its Downs yet because of this individuality our sport still uniquely stands out and is now [Music] thriving we are not the sport of decades past yet the same goal of individuality and freedom to pursue this unique passion remains so this holiday weekend embrace the spirit of Independence in shape a future that reflects your truest self the 202 for de Mo challenge Starts [Applause] Now the true Bank De Moine challenge presented by DGA is off and flying you’re watching Tournament Central on the dis golf Network what does it take to fly a hot air balloon in Iowa it takes a little hot air grant zelner and Brian aart with you as we kick off the afternoon rounds here from Pickard Park in Indianola just south of the de Metroplex we are having a great time in part because we have been kind of dodging a little bit of weather it was sunny if you joined us this morning immediately after the clouds came in we didn’t know what was going to happen now look at it sunny again a great day of disco well again I I said this this morning but I talked to the director Ty tanat who’s dealt with horrible weather the past few years with this tournament he says at this point it almost feels cursed so I don’t think we’re in the clear just yet I think all the locals all around are grateful for what we have weather-wise round number one but they know they have to be prepared for some inclement weather at least some point at this time of year at this tournament but fingers crossed for now we’ll take what we can get very comfortable outside right now temperatures hovering right around maybe the 80° Mark a little bit of wind but not so much it’s unpleasant just another to make the game work the way the game is supposed to work in terms of the discs flying and forcing the players to make some decisions one of the places where we saw some serious decision making in the early going of the first round with the FP field hole number 17 we knew the new closing holes there were going to be something significant we maybe didn’t expect this much significant or Bryant did you I did I absolutely did you look at the Landing Zone that they kind of want you to get your drive to and it seems good but then you realize it’s much smaller than it it’s painted out to be just getting out the Gap is not good enough if you’re on this right side like Missy Ganon was you’re throwing this low ceiling shot from a position where you don’t even see the front of the OB uh Stakes so your depth perception gets really thrown off trying to approach the island you need to hit something with power you need to get past that tree at 215 uphill in the middle and push left challenging the OB Stakes initially Hanley struggling on this hole C mer struggling on this hole this hole was eating people up I believe it was a 5.39 average on the day hardest hole in the course I think these players are just going to have to learn that four is playing really good and the three only comes with a really great t-shot as a matter of fact only three threes on the day there at the 17th Natalie Ryan elas ridling and Stacy ronley Holland Hanley had the solo lead heading to the 17th and then triple bogy cat merch had a spot lined up for the lead card on Saturday until she quadruple bogied the 17th uh the green this morning as we mentioned laid out in the shape of the state of Iowa looks a little bit more like Rhode Island to the players from their vantage point so a real challenge there late in the round Haley King though survived the 17th comes in with a birdie on the 18th she birdied three of her last four holes on the day to possess the solo lead heading into Saturday so we caught up with Haley after her round Haley King you’re the leader in the clubhouse should be the solo leader here at the end of the day at 6 under par did you have a sense that you were scoring hot enough to Pace the field no I I mean I didn’t feel like I was shooting that hot to be honest I felt like I missed every 20 foot birdie putt so I didn’t I didn’t think I was six down at all tell us about the conditions out there not just the footing but also the wind it seems blustery and how was that challenging you yeah I think for me it actually allowed me to focus on my disc and what I need to do so I kind of It kind of helps me more than I feel like it kind of you know hinders other people but I was it was just able to allow me to focus cuz it was super change it was changing all the time so focusing on what’s changing all the time allows you to focus a little bit more on the golf you’re one of the first people we’ve spoken to that has experienced the new closing hle 17 and 18 in competition what are your thoughts on what 17 and 18 bring to the course I think I really like 18 it allows the FPL to score a little bit more and I think it was a little bit unnecessary to have us thrown up really long hole but I think 177 is fun has a lot of score changes but I don’t know it looks fun I like it any changes to any part of your game plan for tomorrow you mentioned 600 par you didn’t feel like was that hot so do you feel like you need to go lower and if so what do you do yeah I just need to make my 20 Footers and I’ll probably shoot under 10 Haley King the leader after day number one in De Mo well Brian like I said six under par good enough for the solo lead Haley herself thinks that wasn’t enough or shouldn’t have been in a sense do you concur do you believe that the foo field is going to have to go lower to catch and ultimately pass Haley King and take this down it depends on what the wind is doing I’ve heard rumors that the wind is actually supposed to drop a bit tomorrow which will help a lot more players kind of come into the fold but Haley King has the highest ceiling uh potentially of anybody here I mean she’s a major Champion she’s a multiple time Champion here on the disc golf pro tour the question is are you going to hit that ceiling you going to show up and actually play to your potential like she said she had a 600 par hot round but she said she missed a lot of 20ft Birdie putts that she set herself up for so that’s not a physical problem that’s her showing up and and lapsing in focus when it matters most and potentially just not reading the wind correctly it was 15 20 miles an hour some of the gusts would get up to 25 I think she’s going to have to work hard to win this tournament but I think the rest of the field is going to have to do the same she’s already beating everyone except for own Scoggin by three on Scoggin there at five underpar did what own Scoggin tends to do which is put together a round that might look a little different strategically from most of the other players on the course own coming in at five under par a solo second place positioning I don’t know if she expected that but she’ll take it by the way she also parred the difficult 17th on her way in we caught up with own all right joining us in the clubhouse solo second place after round number one own Scoggins five down pretty windy day out out here at picker what do you think um it’s it’s it’s pting pting for me is just so poor uh my driving is okay I think I select a a good dis for the right hole it’s just a parting it’s just kind like here and there um yeah over all is good well let’s talk about the last two holes on this course new 17 new 18 you got the birdie on 18 and you were just talking to me about how hard 17’s playing can you talk us through it I feel like it’s very hard because when you miss missed the second shot and the Drop Zone was like God 100 maybe 200 ft and it’s between the tree oh I don’t know it’s just and then you have to land on the island and then when you’re missing that now you go to the Drop Zone it’s another like 65 ft part I think that might be the most heart of of the round whole yeah well on uh going to tomorrow you’re in second place behind Haley King by just one stroke anything that you feel like you need to change or any game plan decisions you need to change tomorrow no I’m just going to go for it I’m just going to try to make the birdie I can and I heard it say the wind maybe go down a little bit so I think go all nothing on any final words oh yeah I want to shout out to my L people a and thank you we’ll see you tomorrow on thank you AO okay so on scoggan is not happy with her putting Brian you’re laughing off camera here at that tell us why let’s look at the distances that she hit putts from today 30 feet on hole three 30 feet on hole six we had a 31 footer up on 12 30 flitter on 18 yeah she missed four Circle two putts today but she only missed one from Circle one and she had multiple from the edge of the circle not too shabby of a putting day but that also in my opinion seems like she feels locked and loaded she feels like the putting stroke is feeling good this week and even for own I would say she’s loose and comfortable and that’s saying something for ow because she always seems to be having so much fun in the midst of the most intense of competition so ow scoggan is very well positioned going in to Saturday’s moving day so thrilled to be able to talk about this next player because we were putting quite a bright Spotlight on her and she hasn’t been in the spotlight too often in her young career she joined us during the press conference yesterday talking about alra midling she responded to the pressure of being in the brightest of lights today and she did so in a big way let’s hear her thoughts after day number one here in De Mo all right joining us now os are midling 3 under par first round you were on the feature card playing with the gallery how’d you feel great I thought I’d be more nervous than I was I was I was pretty comfortable that was nice well you threw the disc really well out there you had a great start you were four down through the first seven talk about the course in general how was it playing in the wind today o i I hate wind golf but it it was it was it was all right um it doesn’t play that much harder for me I’m already throwing a lot of crazy overstable discs like hyper canes I threw my Avalanche a lot today um so it didn’t really affect me it was more on the putting green cuz I don’t really the disc the wind with the drives don’t really bother me going to tomorrow you’re tied for third place at three down are you satisfied with the number or do you feel like you left too many strokes out there uh I left a lot of Strokes out there I’m not that shot on 18 is so frustrating um no I could do a lot better than that all right well you got the rest of the day ahead of you any extra practice you’re going to put in or just rest um I’m going to go watch the N typical as every other day sounds like a great day elzer thank you so much for your time yeah of course Brian a little bit of a running theme here today players in the FPL field coming off of the course and then finding out their positioning amongst the field and it being better than they thought it would be that’s interesting uh it’s a refreshing day on the disc golf course when you feel like you didn’t bring your best stuff but then the rest of the field didn’t bring their best stuff and you’re not sitting too shabby after the first day of competition something I heard elra just say and I’m very excited to hear it we just watched her mature right there coming off the course saying you know I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I was going to be and I remember her very first interview on the disc golf Network at the US uh or at the throw pink championships in uh South Carolina she was terrified she’s like I don’t even know what words I was saying I did I say this word too much she’s growing up right in front of us as an athlete and she’s getting this experience in front of the cameras and in front of the gallery and now she’s going to get to focus more on the golf because she’s not as nervous just because the spotlights on her you know what right when she came out at throw pink there was a big Spotlight and when you looked at her stats back then it kind of pointed to us letting her be and letting her develop as a player maybe she didn’t need the spotlight yes the release speed was great but I’m glad that we’re watching her grow as a golfer right now the touch is coming along still has a little bit of work to put in there made some fantastic putts today and got out of round one with a three down statistically she’s among the leaders in birdie R the FP disolf protour the problem is she’s also very high on the charms of bogey rate so she gets it and gives it right back kind of did a little bit of that today but uh more bang than bust and that is a trend that if it continues throughout the weekend she’ll find herself perhaps with one of her best finishes in her young career well and I think on 18 when you watched her lead that shot out of bounds to the left when that forehand comes around and by watching her forehand swing I think it will come around I really like her forehand mechanics and and how they’re developing that shot on 18 is going to be a forehand all day for elzra so that’s going to get cleaned up over time these stock shots on both sides and with both spins are going to keep developing for her she’s going to eventually have multiple shots that feel like a Joys sick and then she’s going to clean up those Elementary mistakes that CA her Strokes she’ll get another chance to play in front of the crowd tomorrow as part of the Chase card she isn’t a tie for third the problem is she’s tied with two both Alexis mahano and Natalie Ryan who get the nod over elzra due to pdj number so she’ll play from the Chase card tomorrow and we’ll see how things go for her as the weekend unfolds and if that Comfort continues I think there’s a great chance that it will moving our attention to the no field coverage coming up later on this afternoon we’ll set it up for you right after this on the disc golf Network [Music] [Music] behold the Eagles Crossing disc golf course a sanctuary where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary as each disc takes flight Destiny intertwines Eagles crossing.com also on the disc golf Network this weekend The Finnish Nationals DGM Pro subscribers can see the fin Nationals play out all weekend long if you upgrade now you’ll also have access to the European open later on this month during the Finnish Nationals after two rounds Nicholas anela out in front but just a two-stroke lead coverage available to dgn Pro subscribers as tumu T tanan did I get that right Brian there we go timu talakayan and Lori leonin are in second and third respectively chasing down Nicholas anela not much of a lead there going into tomorrow’s round so that’s going to be some exciting footage to catch up with on the disc golf Network bringing things back now to De Mo where we are awaiting those final cards to hit out to head out on the course like I said the weather it’s gone sunny it’s gone cloudy it’s gone Sunny the temperature seems to be going up and down there’s a little bit of adjustment having to happen in real time for the players it’ll be interesting to see how they adjust to these just slightly changing conditions over the course of the afternoon Ganon bur though will be the one to chase I think heading into this round let’s hear from Ganon yesterday at the press conference I think the mixed reactions from players is them thinking it doesn’t fit their play style I’ve talked to some players saying certain trees are fluky I know on 17 a couple Heiser flip players are not happy about a tree on the right and for me that doesn’t even come close to in play and you know I know in 18 as well there’s trees you know once you get past the initial Gap there’s a couple on the left I heard a couple players complaining about that it’s you know it’s fluky it’s you know you hit the initial Gap you should get rewarded I know someone complained about one of the trees just dead straight on 18 and I was asking him and I was like well what shot are you throwing they’re like I’m throwing a Heiser flipped right down the middle I’m like well that’s not the play like you got to adjust to the course you know not every hole is going to fit your play style uh and so I think that’s probably the only reason people are a little you know angry but then you have people that love them some people love 17 hate 18 love 18 hate 17 um I loved how they came out they’re going to play really good down the stretch considering you know if you’re up two You’re Not Safe anymore uh where last year it kind of felt like that uh so you know you can be up even four strokes and you know triple Bogan 17 is a very likely score if you miss that first drop zone Brian you interview people for a little living and you’re sitting here watching that and just sort of gushing about what you heard in that interview from Ganon Burr talk about your thoughts in terms of his thoughts on the course yeah I’ve said this quite a bit in the past especially this season watching Ganon develop as a player but he’s truly becoming a universal thrower with the Heiser flip style and then kind of tilting the spine back a bit and throwing that classic Ganon bur Flex Shot style he kind of has an answer for everything now and and I I said it this morning Nevin last year at the Tour Championship really showed him what he needed to work on in regards to the Hiser flip with power and he’s put the work in he’s throwing a lot more higher flip than he has in the past and that’s giving him different angles now to attack gaps in a different way and play higher percentage lines and like he said in his interview if you’re a Hiser flip predominant player when it comes to the backhand certain shots are not going to make sense to you you’re going to get really frustrated because coming from that left to right side with the flat shot is something you’re not very good at Ganon can do both now you watch him here going down the hill he throws a beautiful line here on this one at The Preserve he’s just looked good all year long and I think out here at picker at a course that he’s seen so much he’s the defending Champion here he is absolutely the one to beat and I’m excited to watch him attack this course so technically sound in the top 10 on tour in getting to C1 in regulation and then among the best at putting those putts where it counts right into the bottom of the basket so no surprise that he’s doing so well this year so going now from a player who you just talked about how how technically sound he’s been lately to a player who is more feel oriented talk a little bit about Simon lazad and what you expect from him in just his second event back from that long layoff uh thanks to having his second child well I I I love listening to him talk whenever he comes back in it seems like every press conference we do with him this year he sits down and he’s just like what’s up guys I said Simon you look a little tired he said yep I woke up at 3:30 this morning and I I flew out here and I might get a practice round in and honestly that’s been working well for me and I love that he’s finding the formula to not take this game so seriously and to just fall back on his intuition which like we’ve said is probably the best intuition in the sport of disc golf right now when this guy’s feeling it when he’s enjoying himself when he’s present he’s gonna win the tournament he gets himself into a certain mental space and the thing that I respect so much about Simon as we watch the Highlight from his playoff Victory from a couple of years ago I like that he knows exactly the mental space he needs to being and he’s very intentional about getting there it may seem uh a little bit loose it may seem a little bit sort of pursuing fun rather than pursuing you know something more intense but the intentionality is the thing that stands out to me about Simon lazza let’s hear from him yesterday overthinking is one of my biggest weaknesses and maybe most athletes over um biggest weakness and if you only have so limited amount of practice if you only seen the course one time at Music City a couple months ago I literally didn’t see it at all CU I was dealing with an injury and I played eight holes before the tournament um there’s really no chance to overthink because you only have one shot you got to throw it you did you haven’t played the course multiple times you haven’t thrown multiple shots on each hole and for me that has been working when you’re going back home like you just played The Preserve and flew home and came back are you getting reps in up there in uh in Worcester not much no um when I’m home it’s pretty much full Daddy D especially my daughter is 10 weeks old today so it’s crazy the last 10 weeks have been absolute blur um I try to be as much there for my wife as I can when I’m home of course I try to make YouTube videos every now and then I wouldn’t really call those practicing it’s more like frisbee entertainment and I get to like try different different stuff out there I really don’t really touch my actual tournament disc golf bag too much when I’m filming but it’s all fun stuff and you know that’s one of my things ever since I really been on tour is as long as I’m having fun that’s that’s really all I’m looking for well Grant I I’ve been thinking about this and when I listen to Simon lat talk it’s very different than watching or listening to someone like a Bradley Williams talk and how technical Bradley Williams is about the the form and mechanics of the game and then how feel intuition uh focused Simon lazad is and how you know mental game plays such a big factor in Simon’s performance I can’t wait for these guys to retire and start their ownmy of disc golf and watching some of the young players that they take under their wing one day coming out to the disc golf course with these different play Styles he just adds such a cool element of color to the sport that we’re we’re watching this weekend I agree with you and another player I want to add to that category of adding a little bit of color to things finally broke through earlier this year with that Victory talking about Anthony Barella he’s actually tied with Ganon Burr in terms of number of Victories on the year the difference is Anthony Bella sort of disappeared just a little bit there in the middle had three or four events where he finished outside in some cases a little bit well outside the top 10 powered back in at The Preserve with a top 10 finish finished seventh there at The Preserve uh looking now to recreate a bit of momentum and I think the course sets up really well for Anthony Barella Anthony Bella’s start to this season was very similar to Calvin heimberg start last season it felt like he could do no wrong and it felt like the season was over for the rest of the disc golf pro tour Anthony had that same where I felt like okay this is Undisputed the best player on the planet right now you know what during that stretch of tournaments he was the best player on the planet but right now longevity is something that he’s having a tough time with this season he’s had a lot of low points after his three victories early on Isaac and Ezra Robinson that’s a Duo that is a bit of a family affair right coming out here on tour both of them having a lot of success it’s interesting because it seems like we always have at least one of them there on the lead card or near the lead card or finish in in the top 10 we’re always talking about one of them it feels like never both of them and there’s good reason for that they seem to alternate in terms of when each of them has a good week we’re just waiting for that chance for both of them to share a good week together the last time they did that might well have been at this event about a year ago with a shared Podium finish what do you expect from the two of them in terms of the momentum they’ve built this season and what you expect to see of them here as the second half unfolds well last year Isaac Rob showed me that he is going to be one of the best players for quite some time and they’re still so young Ezra though was a player that I knew was unbelievably talented and unbelievably good but you kind of question for a while how high is his ceiling how good is he going to get is he going to get the putter going at some point putting stroke came along this year I see the the way he’s changed his stroke ever so slightly and he feels a little bit more intentional with the putter coming out of his hand and now he’s right up there with his brother I want to see see him tap into the level of dominance that Isaac did last year because I think Ezra has the capability of winning multiple this golf pro tour events even this season even as you’re talking Brian things changing as we expected them to here in De Moine Indianola rather just south of De Mo we’ve got raindrops falling for the first time during competition could be a a very small passing shower hardly anything to knowe or it could be the start of an on and off again sort of afternoon uh I hope that there is not any lightning in the forecast and so far I haven’t seen any evidence of that but again this reiterates the players are going to have to constantly adjust to the conditions over the course of the afternoon so it’s going to be interesting to see what happens Chris Dickerson is a player that has been around for a long time and has adapted himself well to a lot of different courses and conditions he’s back and ready to attack this weekend well it came off tennessy state championship shooting an 18 underpar round at Panther Creek and now he’s back here with great news I don’t know if anyone has seen the Instagram post he made recently talking about that hip injury that he got diagnosed with kind of a degenerative disorder turns out it is not what they originally thought and he’s just going to have to do some uh maintenance to keep his hip strong moving forward this season so that’s fantastic nudes congratulations to Chris Dickerson and I think there’s a lot of disolf fans happy to see him back can’t wait to see him out on the course C ralin got a little bit of attention last week he did a little feature for showing some disc Tech and had good time listening to Cole talk about how he works his way around the course we’re going to get a chance to see him in action today Grant I got to tell you something you know Cole’s walking around this course just peacocking right now got a brand new haircut from Jay went loyal Suns Barber Shop they’ve been out here cutting the players all week and uh and his partner Stacy on the women’s side cutting the foo players all week C Doan looks a little spiffy this week Grant thanks to the people out here cutting the hairs and donating their time for these Pro players looking for cold goo today when you look good you feel good and maybe that means you play good we’ll be interested to see how CLE rallan does out there on the course so look at the hot rounds thus far to try to get some idea if the pattern we saw this morning with the FP field will continue and what I mean by that is we mentioned this before a number of FO players coming off the course feeling like they didn’t shoot so well and then finding out they actually are sitting a lot prettier than they thought they were here are things as they stand right now with players finished or nearly to the end of their round looks like eight under par uh maybe somebody can get another birdie there nine under somewhere in there do you expect we’re going to have to see some double digits today from someone we’ll see it but it’s going to be really challenging Grant the gap on 18 to get out the Gap with power is roughly seven feet wide over 100 ft off the te so easy money for you but for the rest of the no division it’s going to be a really challenging finish to the course sure it’s easy money for if I hold the disc and walk it through the Gap that’s about the width for those one I mean that’s go in your in your living room grab your bag of discs and lay about nine of them or so out edge to edge and that’s the size of the Gap that they have to throw through that’ll give you a good idea right there in your in your home what these players are dealing with coming down the stretch here and they’re going to have to do it three times including on the everpresent Sunday afternoon pressure round Brian any final thoughts as we head into the F uh the first round here at De Mo sun’s coming out can’t wait it was raining about 20 seconds ago the sun’s out now it’s getting muggy jackets coming right back off we are going to be right back on at the end of the round to wrap things up here on day number one here from the de Mo Challenge tournament Central it’s Grant zelner and Brian her was only five chains in the basket you know if you know hit one of those five also uh out of Iowa is gon bur Pho yeah man Urbandale neighbor of mine over in Windsor Heights just right up the road can’t say enough about what ganon’s done in his short career as a professional it’s been pretty impressive on a heck of a run this year too third all time in cash that’s at 19 go 18 18 yeah just got out of high school don’t be alarmed by the little drops of rain there’s this one big gray cloud hanging around it be pushing out here in a couple minutes and uh we’re going to set it on down we got a Radars kind of showing we got some little bits of popcorn coming in from the northwest it’s going to be kind of on and off all day but I don’t think it’s going to be too bad so uh a real blessing on this Friday afternoon here in De Mo Iowa kind of uncharacteristic for how the past few years have gone true story there Brian facts I can remember I spent a whole day on Nate doss’s couch waiting for the lightning storm to go away a couple years ago yeah it’s usually pretty hectic around here the hail comes in a hurry when it comes yeah you know summer thunderstorms a lot of guys running for shelter protecting those windshields and looks we are about ready for our second feature card let’s head on down to one and I’d like to welcome everybody to our 305t time at the true Bank De Mo challenge presented by DGA leading off our card coming to us from lawrenville Georgia please give a big round of applause for Isaac Robinson you know what those things hanging out there too much Ian oh no that not the way you want to start your afternoon our second competitor on the team kead comes to us from Altuna Iowa please give it up for Gavin Babcock let’s go that’s the right angle eyes your only nice and high no chance for that to stand up comes to us from Alpena Michigan would you please give it up for Andrew Mar that needs to hustle Ian is it going to move enough green flag bit shorter than you’d like to be rounding out our 305t card this competitor comes to us from Aberdine South Dakota please put your hands together for Ezra ader [Applause] hole he Unleashed a bomb off the T1 I how far he gets up oh my yeah that’s in that 530 range he’s going to have a nice little Chip Shot around the corner that was different f it certainly was 17 wrath bun tied for second New Hole this year if you hadn’t watched the foo earlier oo so close to being perfect there but should be workable yeah I think that was enough made most of the gaps anyway let’s check out Pho philosophy brought to you by our friends at blacking disc.com it’s the premium disc golf store probably get that up hope everybody had a good safe Fourth of July got to own these par 3es half of the course are par 3es and you got to put in some work if you’re going to survive this tournament I’m really looking for who can go bogey fore on the par 4S today you might make a mistake on the par 3s and recover because a lot of the circle Edge you know Circle you know what 30 foot putts for par if you miss OB by the basket or less game time adjustments the wind’s been variable over over the last couple of days yesterday was a little bit more out of the South today a little bit more out of the North going to make some of these shots a little different got to be able to make those adjustments we’ll see who handles it the best this afternoon so far that’s Raven Newsome with his eight down Pho solid golf Robinson throwing three after the OB Drive gets anywhere inside Circle two that’s amazing going to happen still out there in the Fairway should be a chip shot up down yeah Ellis throwing two on 17 looks like he found a tree off the tea about halfway through the gauntlet seems about 70 trees in that opening section of the Fairway looks like a putter for Ellis laying up just short of that OB not much else you can do just give yourself an angle that you can attack very small green up ahead waiting for Cory Ellis we’ll get a looked at it later I but it’s Iowa shaped it is I took a good look at it on my walk through you picked that up already oh yeah ah you’re too smart for us mared throwing two back on one I was enlightened oh were you of course and people are very proud to let me know definitely we go solid RI mared looks like he’s right around the back edge of circle two this such a big hole one Pho 800 ft uphill the whole way and a Crossing wind blown not a helping direction from your left to right across his Fairway is making it difficult that’s why we saw that shot Le O for Robinson yeah wrath B after a great Drive throwing his second onto the island hopefully anyway a putt from Circle one and speaking of one wrath run in his second that’s not terrible that’s a look MH that was Babcock wasn’t it it Babcock thank you sorry go Ellis throwing his third forc to lay up to here little room to the left when you’re playing up this Direction guys playing the sidearm they’re going to run out of land in a hurry playing up into the green playing the backand a little more forgiveness out towards the left so little bit the room there coris has to work with see tapering off to the left that should be good if the speed is right so strange able to see a little bit of a tail Crossing wind Ellis will have that to hold on to his seven down just one off the lead back to one hold throwing two man you’d love to be here off the T coming up a bit short though out there in circle two forer hole to get going headwind putt coming up from he does like the stepper though he does yeah but yeah you’d rather be closer than farther for sure there are your scores as they Sit N at the top in the house eight under solid on a opening round I was thinking somewhere in that 8 to 10 under is going to farewell on round one with the conditions as they are winds a bit swirler than they were yesterday that’s going to have to make some mental adjustments there’s Robinson I believe right Ching up chipping it up for his bogey for a share of the lead wrath buun on 17’s green his name’s been bubbling up a bunch lately hasn’t it oh it sure has every tournament it feels like he’s been relevant that would have been a huge make if he could have got that to go in unfortunate there but he will make par which is still Strokes on folks from what we’ve been looking at and we’ve been scrolling along the a lot of guys making double bogey at the 17th and 18th this afternoon and only nine birdies that’s not a bunch no Ellis for par nice cleanup work there from Cory Ellis couple steps inside C1 mared in circle two for birdie tried to float it in there just not enough pop to keep that nose down over to wrath bun next Babcock I do that again like those two occupy the same space in my brain apparently over Babcock for Bry should have been a good wind read for ader hold as well watching that b weed put it’s could be a similar angle well has the same result as wrath buun anyway finds the front of the cage AER hold grab a stroke on the card had the pace just not Center enough for AER hold he’ll also be walking away with an opening whole par that’s not a bad thing out here if you can keep things under control on the par 4S and take advantage of a bunch of short par 3es out here really have yourself a solid day Robinson starting with a bogey though mared’s par and your defending Champion Ganon Burr will tea off in just about 10 minutes before that though sneaking a quick break on the network we’ll be right back [Music] he [Music] [Music] what’s up guys it’s ezza Robinson and I’m here to show you how to use bird sauce from Dirty Birdie put a little dab on your fingers or wherever you want grip once you fan it get some air on there turns to chalk and this will stay on for six to nine holes Clips my bag super easy and I don’t have to worry about it every single hole [Applause] what’s up I’m Raven team zuka here’s what’s in my cart all my main discs are in this bottom compartment easily accessible at mouth and eye level my treats are in the side pockets up there it’s inconvenient but good for selfcontrol a feature I’m iffy on is those unpoppable foam tires I have tried they don’t pop but my favorite thing about my cart is when my mom grabs it I know I’m going o u t and there’s squirrels out [Music] there Nexus Firefly one of my Tour series Casey Pro glow Rock unbeatable team of the Toro and the rat the Fairway driver that rules the mall the seon Firebirds Calvin Halo Destroyer hi I’m Innova team captain Nate sexon and this is my 2024 in the bag welcome back to the action Gavin Babcock on the [Applause] TF2 solid mared what are you looking for off the te here fell hard flat Hiser just fired out there at that guy with the red shirt on and get that thing drifting left stay above that tead ideally get forward and left that up on the high side you’re loving life it’s not too bad when you drip down a little bit towards those trees you just don’t want to get on the bottom side of that slope I think it makes things a little more interesting hold [Applause] full send again from ader hold trying to make up some ground off the te clob the trees and just below him that’s one of those areas makes things a little different but he’s got a fantastic sidearm going have to fight uphill with that crosswind little lucky to be in bounds honestly there’s room there yeah if he’ missed the tree completely yeah out of bounds but he got it pretty high and in the middle so straight down it comes Robinson yeah you like that spot up there get a little higher up on the hill take some of the elevation change away get to use a little bit of the wind you like that see you can bounce back and get back a level on the day checking out the birdie Zone here about to buy our friends at Birdie Pro every not everyone in there Pho I guess ader hold probably not quite he’s in there close enough yeah he’s fine okay huge thanks to our friends at Birdie Pro bestselling disl board game in the world head over to Bod brothers.com and grab a copy something to do in the offseason or at night have the Fourth of July party hey bust that out have some fun with that absolutely there is your second feature card halfway of the Fairway of two it’s a really fun hole to play look at the clouds roll by fellow mhm that happens out here wow zip on by great perspective on that our flight Factory drone on the ground with Robinson in his second really see the everything from up here well done there from Robinson races the bogey from the first he ain’t missing that P not so much did see him get robbed a couple times at The Preserve though oh my goodness that hurt my heart I was going to say my heart can’t get take heed about it again man oh bur teeing off in four minutes one more break before that happens we’ll be right back we [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I’m down by two with two holes to go should I use my last two driving ship or should I save them for the final t- shot time delay dude that’s a courtesy violation that’s a stroke you’re down by three now party M what [Music] [Music] a [Music] the true Bank De Mo challenge is presented by DGA first in dis golf Gavin wrath bun on the T of 18 oh go oh that was getting super greasy until the last tree sends him into the rough back on two a hold in his second all day with ader hold’s abilities into Circle [Applause] one 18 again for Ellis there have been just three birdies on the day on 18 and Ellis will need a nearly impossible second to make that happen he might have some room to force the issue I don’t know if it’s quite impossible but it’s it’s a lot yeah I wouldn’t recommend going after that no mared throwing two that was a friendly little bounce there gets him inside Circle one and a flight factory look at the course whole bunch of sevens out there that’s a solid number on this course MH really is see Kevin Keir down there had an ace today yeah he did hold three huh R it up dangerous one to go after water six meters past the basket let’s head down to one for your feature card I would like to thank everybody for coming out to beautiful Pickard Park in Indianola for True Bank De Mo challenge presented by DGA this is our feature card of the day leading our card off from Shrewsberry Massachusetts please put your hands together for Simon [Applause] lazat Simon understands the assignment eyes are only into the middle our second competitor on the tead comes to us from Scottdale Arizona would you please give it up for Anthony Barella AB starting to come back to form yeah back inside the top 10 after taking a little break that’s right big SP biking Kaiser from Ab our third competitor on The tead Today comes to us from Urbandale Iowa would you please put your hands together for gon Bur [Applause] [Applause] Joan Anthony Bell up on the left side and rounding out our feature card today this competitor comes to us from Hillsboro Oregon please put your hands together for Cole Rolan there it is tell you what Ian there’s a whole lot of arm speed on this card I know man it’s got to be fun P all these guys well up in the 70 m per hour mhm yeah absolutely nice smooth control swing there from ralin playing for placement love to see it have a tead clean on your future card and down there on the ground is our man Brian aart he’s with a pass Champion Simon lazat all yours Brian Simon you said you only had time for really one practice round you flew in yesterday how was that practice round it was uh hot and sweat by the time I got to the new hole 17 and 18 I was basically just melted on the floor um tough to get out of the Gap when you feel like that but feeling fresh today you know got a good night’s sleep in the hotel just watched Germany lose you try shout out um hopefully my game is better than Germany today Simon thank you so much good luck out there today back to you guys thank you Brian and Simon for that see Spain got Germany Pho yeah Spain took him down game over for Germany it’s getting interesting now watching the cup how many are left that’s a good question I think they’re into eight eight four four quarterfinals something like that it’s getting close let’s get back to disc golf Ellis throwing two on 18 what’s the shot shape that’s going to get there Pho big Heiser you’re not going straight off the left side now he’s laying up this is smart from Coro out of position don’t want to force the issue have a solid round going very wise hold to Babcock in his second you’re here you’re licking your chops one angle Heiser play a little bump and run there it is beautifully executed should sit down curl up there it is Bullseye [Applause] hit wrath buun throwing two on 18 you saw the drive it looked great until it kicked into the woods at the very end to be able to progress with that kind of speed is actually very fortunate for wrath buun he could have been buried in there with that deflection this Iowa rough Pho oh my gosh man thick yeah that is the word for it ralin throwing two on one love the shape it’s going to hang on no the wind’s got it this is in danger Ian it’s red flag can’t have that mistake early I like what he was going for just didn’t quite anticipate that snapping wind blowing that disc to the right it was really doing things out there in the morning round moving things left to right in a major way brella I like this sidearm play by though I do if you’ve got it this is the safer play throw it up there TOS towards the stakes MH there you go nice and high get stable hurry up get some help all right green flag Circle two look for Barilla third shot wrath buun on 18 may have been a hair short but solid AER hold putting for Birdie on two the approach went just a little long there we go it’s in there it’s in don’t want to miss those opportunities out here Ian some of these part fours are very soft they are Burr attacking the green on one interesting line Pho yeah very conservative playing for that Circle Edge look you know if you’re good from there you know take some pressure off the the approach game I guess I mean we all usually like to put from 12 feet or closer but gon’s 12 feet is around 30 so you know maybe that is his comfort zone we’ll find out in a minute Simon laat whated nothing to do with playing that heer flip in there putting any kind of action moving to the left after watching that Rolan approach yeah I’m sure he’s like yeah I’ll just take the long put yeah Babcock that’s a great bounce as a check up it does there you go 78 M off yeah third Cho for Ellis on 18 that looks a little low in sure does he doesn’t like it might burn out progress a little bit towards the basket I could see that air hold on three catches the last one he’s going to have a 35-footer straight out the water Galler and featured card making their way up one’s Fairway great look at that from our flight Factory drone great to see everybody out on a Friday afternoon solid start to our Gallery yeah sure there’s a bunch of people going to be hanging out over there on five and six and oh yeah couple of great places to spectate here at picker Park this weekend we got the hive Pho it’s pretty awesome it is real cool R dollan for par reality a layup for bogy I don’t know if he’s going to have much of anything from there in trying to poke it hope or just fling it out and around layup as you said yeah it’s an opening bogey there lots of time to mounce back though Simon for birdie putting in the wind is so tricky and you got to give it some you know air to get it there but you don’t want to give it too much air like Simon just did kind of floated it out there too much got to put a little snap to it and keep it right on the band and just hope the wind holds it you know it’s not going to lift it so much if you can snap it when you float him out there you just never know what’s going to happen I really feel that F yeah know exactly what you’re me such a weird to develop as a player you know to feel the difference those little nuances between you know 70% and 60% how much wrist pop am I doing versus Arm push got to really practice those types of things to dial it in Bella for birdie how’s arm went faster than the wrist could keep up with type of thing it’s it’s a weird combination to be great at putting in the wind and let’s see if Burr can grab a stroke on the card pretty solid crosswind on this putt he putts pretty flat though no he does he can putt with a little cut too which actually could help him here if he starts his high and left it should push him right into the center oh went with the Hiser the wind got on top of the disc and pushed it down well those are those game time adjustments these guys are going to have to keep their eye on as this round progresses the wind’s going to shift and swirl out here at Pickard with a lot of these Hills and bowls and undulations it’s going to be an interesting day to qu quote the great Ricky Yaki stupid air it’s frustrating that’s the Nemesis for sure man yeah hard to beat the air some days wrath bun to save the par [Applause] that’s the pace I’m talking about that’s it I had an intent yes sir that was beautiful obviously you see his flag isn’t blown around like it was on whole one but still you you still want to keep that same energy on the disc hold from Circle Edge for birdie beautiful that’s the pace I like that keep that flow going and all the hoot and Hall are in the background there on five man hey there out there today I told you that was impressive by Ezra right there focused yeah exactly for sure Ellis also looking at par oh dribbles off the right side for Ellis a closing hole bogey that’ll sting a bit Yeah solid round all in all though for Ellis Badcock has a birdie look on three got it up and in that’s a nice birdie at the third it’s one of my got to get birdies out here on the track there is your top 10 oh it’s a top one and a top two plus Jake there you go how about that for old hehe yeah guys forced to be reckoned with when he’s on point two was that looks a little steep Ian that was a lot of Heiser out the hand that is in danger of going OB left got to hope he clobbers that tree I think that’s a green flag he’s going to be shorter than what we just saw from Ezra and that’s going to be a more Awkward angle for Simon Ro we see how he handles it I don’t want to be short first two trees you want to be like the second tree fourth tree up there be all right AB oh yeah that is moving oh my gosh Hello whoa you weren’t lying man that thing had the sauce on it it sure did get him br solid as well mhm not quite as massive as the bomb we just saw from Ab but just fine if we hadn’t just seen ABS that would have been pretty impressive true andan see how aggressive Cole gets have a little bit of a helping wind here all done for mallin yeah no business and uh not the only tournament happening on the pro tour this weekend we also have the Finn Nationals kicking off over in sipu Finland Nicholas up at the top are you surprised no I’m not not at all no any and watch that if you are a pro subscriber to the disc golf Network and we do have a coupon code for you I believe to grab that Pro subscription that is Europe 50 that’ll also carry you through to the European open which you will also need a pro subscription for I highly recommend you do that what a great couple of tournaments to get in on especially the European open one of the best events we’ve got can’t miss it man can’t n it’s like top three or four in my year it’s going be every time it’s going to be an amazing show this year as it always is they put on such a fantastic tournament Babcock on tf4 he’s hoping for a lift just a little lift I thought I heard ground I heard a Splat that might have jumped up though let’s see what the spotter says can’t tell too close to call so they have to come over and take a peak I imagine he’ll throw a provisional from the Drop Zone just to keep things moving here hold next to ton 4 man three more feet of height on that disc there that would have been perfect yeah that’s that’s more height mhm see if it’s got the carry beautiful spot on drive for mezor hold after the par start that’s three in a row for Ezra great stuff back to two for lazat in his second see what I mean a little trickier when you’re down there below yeah really do some shot shaping and missing some branches Simon’s in circle to with a birdie look as a result what was that not the ideal place to be thrown from there Simon guarantee we won’t see him throw from there the rest of this tournament like Simon has Matt from Titan discs on the bag that’s ganon’s old caddy how did he do that right R Doan thrown two you still looking who you looking for he be he’s way up there yeah was like would you guys simmer down it’s my turn now [Applause] there you go little bumping around checks up nicely let’s go back to the green of four and check on that Badcock driveo looks like he is over the line in yeah he’s in for sure you should see what happens over on ho five how the line is in the water oh because we’ve had flooding so much water and Rain lately oh my goodness yeah it’s been crazy around here so a birdie putt is the result living on the edge ader hold and Babcock now after the par start ripping off three in a row back to two Burr there you go bottom side of circle [Applause] one Brian can you talk about this Anthony Bella Drive we just saw it seems just ridiculous I think you might be correct Dian uh that caught the wind so perfectly and got a nice carry off to the left came out of his hand 75 plus miles an hour uh this is one of the longest drives I’ve ever seen on this shot that’s uh a nice little Chip Shot up to the green wow AB doing things thank you Brian that h on shirt is got signy thanks foring it’s signed by Simon gentlemen the b5s right there I think that was Calvin’s was it I that and he’s got a mato shirt on that’s Epic Man on the T Gavin Babcock not a bit of a heater got a little hat trick early here the marks Ace earlier in the day all right that works the scene of a bad coock [Applause] birdie back to Simon on two he has a long birdie look off the mark on his first lengthy put see if he can ring this in from 62 just off the band that was looking great sure it was a lot more intent than that put on one big time gave that a nice solid spin kept that thing on the ban and it just doesn’t drop in time bur for birdie step through gets it to go on the board yeah and we the fall in for bir little bit of headwind you see that there Ian got about 2/3 of the way and just little tiny lift nice strong put unfortunate reaction there from the air Bella for birdie solid cut there from a breaks the seal see if these guys can get something rolling now [Applause] yep disappointing par for ralin after the hole jumping back to five for ater hold one of those pock things are kind of calm over here at the moment hold fires it in there a little strong going to have a very dangerous dirty put you sail that one it’s most likely gone mared oo I like the shape of this Ian oo just in front nice little check bounce there on the bullseye AB with the Box not three I love to see the guys go backhand off this T is safer play not as much danger of going out of bounds Le if you really get it up high in the window which really not the prescription here on this hole keep things low and tight well reach for a sight on sh 6 met put one that some solid foreshadowing by you Pho just this is all about touch on whole four man you can’t or threes whatever your whole three excuse me you cannot fire this thing down there with a lot of speed it’s all about touching hitting the ground just before Circle one with a flat angle want to come in there with a bunch of angles you’re going to get that big flare skip Simon right have a 35-footer and now coal that looks really nice Ian he’s such a good putter thrower man that’s fantastic 5 meter putt there for ralin for birdie excellent effort back to five AER hold putting for birdie does well to sit down braen side is one off the lead his second shot he’s liking that he is on a eater right now talk about it wow clean that’s all you got to say is the word clean you say clean you under par you’re doing big things out here wow that will cap a turkey he already has a hand bone on the card before that whoa there was a wrath bun birdie Babcock birdie wasn’t it that was was good catch a for birdie back on three robbery what oh that was that looked very very good maybe a smidgen left but that looked so low you’d think that’d stick in there was a little high oh little high just climbed down the chains brutal Simon for birdie not to be for Simon either perfect line dude just give it a chance for some reason thought I was going to hover long put kind of that’s the old man in me being [Music] scared r dollan get back to even on the day that was jumping out for a tick myself it tried it did and Burr the drive was OB not much left on this par put though what’s he got pH 20 25 yeah he’s going to get us three meters in so four steps off the basket 3 m three steps whatever you want to call it for that’s a par cleaned up for Burr Babcock T of six from one I one to another ideal shot if you’ve got it in the bag that is a smart way to play that hole really opened up the angle too for that second absolutely take all that flexing backhand play out don’t have to worry about any OB play up to the high left side come on now look at this guy going rolling right along sides with a share of the lead tying Raven Nome wow who was into the clubhouse already yeah he’s only 11 holes in yeah although the course does get harder on the back but I guess the field still been they’ve been doing work you’d say 16 17 18 is where things really start to get you know that’s a better way to say anxious or you know tight you still got some birdies out ahead of him and really not a whole lot of danger in the way of holes that can eat you up too much mhm 12 is a pretty straightforward shot 13’s pretty straightforward really shouldn’t get in much danger out there until he gets to the final three holes back to six for Babcock and it is second does it fight through Circle one is the word braen sides on the T of 12 straight up mid-range shot got a little rock wall down there about 260 ft play it just to the left of that the ground play should help you feed right under the bucket oh he pulled it in he going to miss no did he miss the Mando I think he missed the mandatory you oh bummer major cool the curse man the curse of the camera curse camera curse every time T4 ralin most the water between he and the PIN a cool look at this shop from our flight Factory drone keep pushing oh this is tracking all right a little bit wide cires Edge and we just got an update from production apparently did not miss the Mando it didn’t look so good it didn’t but hey okay better look at it than we did AB next to ton 4 cut swing from Anthony Bill 5 meter look AB in business sure is you don’t see many guys go to the cut swing on this shot even most dudes have a hard time getting that Hiser to reach let alone flexing something in this wind says a lot about where his game is at right now genon bird next to team High wide spiking Heiser from Ganon out there in circle two that’s a dangerous look in sure is that tree BL locking it up a little bit we see what he does and Simon has been all par so far that how does that look to you and doesn’t have EG go oh Simon it was short and then it wasn’t oh my God walking on water baby let’s go this is a powered by NOA moment provided by Simon lazat powering a skip across the water in bounds for birdie oh my goodness like that dis how many have we seen just go straight in right that disc was so high and to skip is that Simon Power Man it is man one hopper baby let’s go he’ll take that break he was ready for one it’s been a slow start it has time to get things rolling absolutely this go Faro got to love it sometimes she giveth sometime she taketh accurate Robinson for four birdies in his last five yes sir count that you know who who has five birdies in his last five though Gavin Babcock yeah buddy also on that card what a break what wow insane out the hand I thought he missed it by a mile fortunate to be right up on the mandatory should be able to get this up and down just a couple hundred feet left to go wow what a break maybe less what a disaster that could have been for his around mhm just momentum wise there you go friendly tree slows him up should be able to turn that into a par mhm oh man ader hold has a birdie putt on six beautiful putt there down on a knee from ader hold buries that thing right in the heart he’s playing some good disc golf he is Burr went long and right coming back for birdie right at the water you know I didn’t want to say it right as the SE started and we saw Ezra start his round but I feel like he’s got just as good as chance as anyone this week I really like his game on this style of hor oh bird tries to grab some touch and float it in inbounds at least and I spoiled this one a little couple moments ago Babcock for five straight go Yi love it back to five Doan for birdie four isn’t it y ooh that’s a bonus birdie for you that was pretty nice Circle to make for rallen starting to get the putter working now yes sir nice hand comes right up to the line of the eyes trust in the line nice Circle to make that’s where you want to make him out there Circle two putting towards water nice and low Simon to take advantage of that break yes he does grab the birdie off the schneide on the board goes lazat and Bella nice committed putt there from Anthony [Applause] Barilla jab that thing right in the middle the lone par on the card coming here from Burr and they will head to five and the Hive here they come got your Crazy Eights and now the hive is buzzing they are flapping their wings it’s pretty cool we’re getting some of these fun traditions for the gallery Cruise I’m a big fan for sure me too about time makes a little little special Babcock tf7 island green very friendly if you’re a left-handed or sidearm thrower playe as a hazard if you don’t make it into that looks like six in a row he’s rolling he sure is sides for par somehow that drive ended up with a three you’ll take it when Happ man absolutely H and Hanley put on a pair of the uh anten the antenna for her throw she parked it too no way yeah how cool is that she hit hit the hit the the stand nice one yeah who wants to step up first and impress the high it should be Mr K ralin once he gets there that’s a tiny green F it’s not the largest Green in the world it is circle Edge on the left side you get a little more than that off to the right it goes into the woods about 45 ft pin high and right got some room a bit deep to work with but not much in front just 6 M into water looks like a putter or mid out of coal I like the option for his arm speed man throw this thing right at the basket he’s going to have a little better look than ezer did yep giving the people what they want they want to see some chains yes they do speaking of Ezra his t-shot on seven oo that looks a little early Ian he doesn’t like it at all out there in the hazard putting for three likely boogy coming up for hold back to five Simon got a nice look from the shot of ralin see if he makes any adjustments pushes it a little wider spiking high are trying to get this there in a hurry let’s go bring it up ooh flashing chains on the way in that flash tape even man showman doing what he does best baby that was great that’s why they love him so much yeah crowd favet doesn’t matter where he is Bella smooth under control looking for a little flip how he wants it to sit coming in hot AB it should be a green flag he a hobbit hole back there though he is and the local get the loudest Applause loudest cheers gonur try to lift him up a little bit of a slow start for the defending champ one under par on the day so far this is one of those holes you got to get [Applause] sneaks it in but he’s going to join him back there in The Hobbit Hole opportuni squandered here for a couple of guys for a routine birdie cut they’re showing them some love though yeah they [Applause] are are the be is going to start buzzing around now this the last card we’ll see see if they hop on the bandwagon at the gallery here and keep things exciting keep that energy up Robinson for par was just short of that’s the worst way to miss this one man you’re talking about a couple inches it doesn’t matter what best Putters in the game Robinson covers it up from C2 sure does great M three down through seven you can you can deal with that I hope that guy starts doing some putting Clinic soon that guy’s got a great putt he does sides on 13 doesn’t fight through much in the Fairway though going to have a nice clean look straight at the Target elevated basket there at the 13th pars aren’t bad birdies are better though birdies are better but cars aren’t bad on this course Babcock though he is stacking birdies this is for the double Turk huh it sure is V early on right off the bullseye for Babcock should be able to convert this quite routinely a little bit of Bree going to take his time and it goes good work from Gavin Babcock another Iowa guy trying to get it done here in Iowa through seven holes he’s two off the lead wow wow and ader hold you saw him find the hazard off the te that’s the bogy as a result back to sides on 13 his second not out of the woods just yet tight little approach here it oh it’s that really good it did indeed must have been a putter cuz that thing stopped pretty quick yeah it looked like it should turn into a par Burr will make his way into the hobbit hole and Brian has a there a putt in that hobbit hole at all or not so much it’s not the most inviting putt from The Hobbit Hole unfortunately and uh with the OB behind it’s something that they’re going to have to maybe decide whether or not to run or or lay up like bur’s trying to get comfortable thank you Brian there’s a way you know Ganon always has the will Pho he has the will but is at the right time you know I know it’s early in the around you’re falling off the pace a little bit but is really worth picking up an extra one if things go terrible oh oh foot in mouth as they typically do to us here on the network these guys have no fear wow what a make from Ganon he found a way Pho that was that’s incredible Co can’t even believe it he’s like that’s cold world stuff right there I think he missed the Ducks coming off the I’m saying you just totally ran right past him oh they’re good buddies too think Burr spent a lot of the Portland time at Cole’s house mhm what does Barella do the straddle from a knee confidence these guys play with is on another level they just believe it’s going in it doesn’t matter where they are got to check all right those can catch an edge and Retreat towards the water that’s a steep green honestly it’s very steep it runs off very easily if you miss and for par sides tricky little hole hole 13 mhm yeah pars are good there you love a birdie but pars are all right speaking of birdies Simon on the green of five easy work for the [Applause] German that’s two in a row for Simon there we go starting to get a little rhythm going and we’re doing for birdie speaking of Rhythm will be three in a row for Cole Cash Money B tapped in the car bur making his way 2 six let’s roll back as a replay of this bur in the woods yeah boy from nothing like you don’t even see the man all of a sudden bang in the basket like tiniest little male SL he just fires it right in there it’s incredible leaves Cole hanging that was cold man well we’ll give you n I’ll get you later yeah than zuk rolling back that Replay for us I’ve been rolling my zuka card all over hman disc golf course I still got the one tag Pho I tried to give it away on Sunday can’t take it from no Babcock T of eight it’s a fun fun shot to throw if you haven’t been out here this is a great one dragging a little left a little short That’s All Right feet or less Chip Shot take his power move on yeah it does get tight back there if you get aggressive after hole eight find yourself sliding OB right outside Circle one I’ll look at hole six from above Tad dab smack in the middle of your screen bottom just a little below the middle dog legs to the right into a little Cove down there 600 some feet to the right at the end it’s a tough little Cove to access too you can’t really go in high no you don’t want to come in super high you definitely got to keep it under that canopy on the way in see things get Mighty tight in there towards Target area do playing for the flex that’s overturned and low actually nice to roll out a little more left opens things up to see if he plays the sidearm in it’s a scary t-shot it’s blind you know where it is but you can’t see it you got to hug that corner right off the box there you don’t want to hang it out there too far left trying to play that S turn you know it’s just going to get blown out to the left so you got to commit to swinging it tight off this corner Simon more air space on this shot and this is the scary part here is does it unravel it does still hanging out on the right side going to have some room there to work with have to keep it tight on his second shot along the tree line there Robinson on the T of eight we go Robinson’s test line on the right side that should be a green flag should be don’t be mean now come on that bound oh there’s plenty of space back there he should be just fine they’ll be is more off the the right pass the basket by the bridge it’s really close but if you’re left and you know into the woods there you’ve got at least 30 ft of room to work with back on Six B off the a next up Babcock on hole eight pitching over for par not much else you can do it drops off pretty severely right there you don’t want to gain a couple extra feet being greedy and now back to six for ab and ab has found the out of bounds area solid progression he flipped the camera guy around see you got to imagine he was well inside 300 ft into the green just a chip shot with the sidearm he got his buddy cupcake back on the bag oh kind of looks like he’s done with this round he just got there got there helping them out sides on 14s te you draging a little left looks solid another fun drive on this course whole 14 such a fun one over to Robinson is a birdy look on ho eight yeah totally safe there tough look can’t put enough mustard on that back to sixes Fairway ralin his second does go to beforehand I don’t know if I like that shaping you don’t really want to hang it out there on this shot flirting with that OB on the backside still in but all right give him a chance he could float one in there yeah just didn’t need that flip up flip up did he no you don’t want that thing to stand up and flex at all you want a One angle Hiser here that misses the biggest tree at Circle one gen bur and his second that’s so bad might get fortunate there you go that’s not a bad result for genon he’s going to have a look he was going to be buried if that he was that that could have been very bad yeah there is OB over there too so I mean it’s not right right there but it’s over there there’s some OB if you punch through all those trees find yourself looking in some you know no putt situation for a par mhm wow verella speaking of pars would love to get up and down for one he should be able to see the entrance into that Cove from where he’s at up on the high left side early Flex you don’t hate that so check up there you go inside C1 for ab opportunity to scramble out that par we are live with Babcock on the T of n an incredibly uphill drive not the longest but it feels like it throws another 50 to 70 ft over that 305 got to put a nice little pop on it and it is not much of a fairway at all got 65 feet across up there pin High to the basket at most Babcock is rolling baby what a front nine for Gavin that’s going to be a seven under effort yeah excellent start to this tournament and you called this this one Pho Simon a little pinched after that drive will have to throw his second at a pretty extreme angle man you give that guy five more feet to his left and he’s got a pretty workable angle going have to get Super Creative here going vertical trying to swing it in like a boomerang and out there circles 38 ft I’m impressed by that solid most people cut and roll on an effort like that throwing it so vertical trying to Banana that thing in there good shot from Simon to give up a look sides his second on four 14 okay you got it looking vertical ended up just short enough this becomes an option does it have the length seems like maybe seems like he’s not upset with it yeah Burr has a birdie look back on six Bo on the street that’s a putt from C1 for sides to take the lead how about that gave it an effort ran out of gas gonna need to start converting some birdies here in a hurry if he’s going to keep pace Cole trying to find a window to make this birdie putt see him shaking his head like that ain’t going to work that’s a Make A Wish Foundation putt right there I’m going to see if I can find something a little more reasonable to straddle out I kind of like this better as well you can feel this a little more than you can those up and overs especially when you got to turn them up and over that just that complications is not one of those you want to try to figure out when you’re out here on the disc golf pro tour I like this better oh no I feel you bud great effort somehow settles on top of the basket for a drop in par for Doan literally a drop in BL yeah has to drop from where it is and go in for par Simon for birdie can he sneak one through Simon’s made a lot of money on putts like this I this is for three in a row as well oh just tickles the left side that had a chance to get pushed in off the nub but thought was in stick for Simon Just Like Old two always smiling love that about this guy man I wish I could be like that honestly oh come on that thing was in the CC cerence of the basket it just didn’t want to stick the chains kind of pushed it back out oh man aella for par after the OB drive and that’s nicely done that’s a great scramble see a lot of guys pick up a bogey leaking OB for for par as well looks like they’ll have pars around here on full six feature card Cole still can’t believe it come on man how do you mark that one you stick your foot up top of the I’m put it on the ground I ke I ke I mean honestly you you know how to mark this what closest point behind the back of the G guy on the ground on the ground it’s like having an unplayable lie you know what I mean it’s going to be the closest point of relief I think Cole could get a leg up there he’s casual relief type thing you figure it out you just get it come on keep it moving Babcock for a seven down front nine Stellar Stellar stuffing he just missed one with which is a really hard hole and he missed eight which is a really hard hole pretty impressive sides for the solo lead on 14 screen which would be even more impressive is how this young man’s playing let’s go looking good out there solid game and as they make their way to the next we’re going to sneak on a break on on the network we’ll be back in just a few you can for what a bag could be I don’t think anyone’s disputing that it’s the best made [Music] bag welcome back to the action and if you weren’t paying attention during the break in the picture and picture you missed this burger I’ve been first available oh no that is the tricky part of this hole for the righty backhand player that tead is off center from the actual Basket in the green you can see it here yeah pointing off to the left you got to swing over and across how hard is that to do man come on yeah he got it right that time almost ccle three that sick has that for four at least which is better than the the triple he said he was going to get a few moments ago Babcock T of 10 a pretty demanding t- shot I like the shape yeah no his his shot look great oh wow oh wow excellent drive from Badcock beats all the trees out there in the middle opportunity perhaps to go for eagle if he’s feeling froggy wow that is AB looking at Birdie on seven green just inside Circle one that flag ripping all different directions gosh it started as a cross and turned into a head by the time he puted yeah and he had the line just didn’t get his hand just that little centimeter or two higher to get that thing into the chains tough to do when the wind’s blowing in your face to trust that height element so tough Simon for birdie this is a preferred angle more of a tailing wind it over the rim and sticks it three of the last four for Simon lazad man he’s had a couple jump out on them too truth yeah two and six we’re in the chains for a minute Burr this is for Bogey and after that first t-shot is a really nice [Music] bogey you know it’s frustrating for bird defending champion and playing some fantastic disc golf this season already up on top of the disc golf pro tour standings got a healthy lead having a hard time getting the wheels rolling this afternoon just one under on the day now after that bogey or Doan move to three stroke swing over his buddy just like that for the last five for Doan he slides home his par and this is while we were in the break sides on the tf5 another fun dog leg here uphill to the left really don’t need much off the te maybe 275 really opens things up don’t need a lot just play for position I like the the shot shaped selection there and now let green flag we’ll see where he ends up you’re now live with sides for his second a little bit on the left side but can give this a nice healthy rip got about Circle two almost Circle two on the left if you come up a little bit short and left about ft of room to play with left of the Target that Hill does pull things drastically got some crosswind as well see how he handles it looking pretty good I ring it up or hopefully that sack quickly the shape was nice though huh out the hand looked pretty good hopefully that thing ran out of steam on time and checked up give himself another look a live look down at hole eight from our flight Factory drone the sixth hardest it’s a tough shot man you got to give this thing a healthy rip you got some wind typically blowing in your face today it seems like the wind’s blowing over their right shoulders down the hill or do he going to finish left of the target jumps into the woods a little bit it should be okay oh bounces back got high is yeah Simon where’s Simon looking in this a roller no he’s looking left oh come on gu you got to be kidding me it is a roller dude did he just throw that into the farm egg no it’s still running come on this could be OTB shot of the day hit something slow down Simon lazat onto the green with a roller is that a first or whate that’s a first for me I have not seen it in this hole showman doing his magic that was cool that was fantastic AB all maybe would have had it had the line pretty long pretty look yeah it’s one of those game time adjustments again these guys probably used to playing this hole in the headwind come up here today blowing over their shoulder and they’re like where do I throw this to get it to carry not getting much of help out of this tailing w just dropping them down brle to yeah maybe Brian where we’re taking another look at this Simon shot have you ever seen anybody try this over here seems like an incredible shot well I I’m I’m almost saving the question for an after the round interview but I’m tempted to walk up to him and just say why there’s wide open I mean you get a little bit of downhill I understand that you want to control the distance a little bit but there’s OB Behind the Green I think the answer is a lot more simple Ian I think think the answer is just because yeah because I can that’s that’s good enough for Simon it’s good enough for me too man that was really awesome to see and so cool to see a unique shot like that on such a shot like he said it’s really not necessary I mean why would you do that most people would never even think especially with a Crossing wind blowing the opposite direction throwing vertical roller I mean that’s just wild man the showman tipping the cap after that one you got to wild wild stuff that was mat approved there Babcock throwing two on 10 you saw the drive a few moments ago looks like a layup smart open things up for routine birdie yeah oh clitch the tree that can make things a little interesting not too much but a little looks like sides did find trouble has this for par on 15 no he’s out there 50 ft range he did Miss low and left that must have got a massive skip felt the grass was a bit more receptive that big flare skip Hill does pull that way pretty drastically so got to be careful as you approach big putt here to keep things clean on the afternoon forides nice strong put grabbing some middle that’ll be the first blemish of the day drop him back into a tie with Nome at 8 Babcock is third on 10 a little longer than you’d like for your approach but no problem does curl in green flag just under pin high and he’s going to get a couple extra feet cuz he’s right off that marker Canon Burr birdie look back on eight not surprised to see him take a stab at it yeah got to try to make something happen out here for dollan birdie putt beautiful cut perfect Pace High in the chains on the way in drops right into the center that was really pretty coal is heating up he’s on five of the last six over to Simon to capitalize on that great roller and grab a two I don’t know man this is already a contender for that OTB shot of the day that was just insane dude I’m writing that one down Simon please make this put no Simon did that okay too oh come on guy yeah I’ll still put the shot in the shot was still amazing AB just pitched up for his par drops in the but so Doan grabs a stroke on the card as bur and then lazat dropping their bars [Applause] bogey put for size on 15 and that means this put for Babcock is for a share of the lead the man is on an official heater bang Babcock tied for the lead wow can he keep it rolling you’ll find out other side of this break we’ll be right little but has the speed just outside Circle one straight uphill look for young Cole what’s that is it turning enough I think so good news there it’s inside Circle one clean up his par Bella that looks right at it that looks very good B Anthony Bella pet required beautiful yeah solid only L’s te with Babcock and caddy notice a little change here this year oh yeah the tree’s gone tree is gone yeah we got a flag pole now right it makes the shot a bit easier yeah there’s a a lot more space to work with there’s still a tree you got to miss out there past the flag pole but we’ll get a look at that in a moment back to n’s te for Burr that looks Gooding sidearm nice and wide here it comes go inside Circle one imag G turn that into a birdie he’s got too it’s time man he’s got to kick this thing into hyperdrive now he’s way off the pace just one under for the first eight you never know Iceman might I go L he just never know with that guy MH we on 16’s Fairway with sides throwing two man look how close he was to out of bound stroke got to get this up and down just picked up a bogey slides that one just past that should work bunch of trees back there to catch that disc they’ve got him in circle one putting for par speaking of par putt Simon on Nine’s green he came up a bit short I thought he was more pin high so this is a circle two look for Simon not to be for Simon a pick up that his first poy of the day yes it is we Doan for birdie beautiful line once again just runs out of steam that’s too close to miss get it crowd trying to pick up Ganon Burr get the stick smile on the left drop in birdie drop in boogy for lazat drop ire [Applause] [Music] for as they head over to 10 T let’s take a peek at niola Castro on 16 he’s got a birdie look there you go in the top 20 for LC more information [Music] [Music] [Music] welcome back sides a little work left on this par Hut on whole 16 makees short work of it though Bella T of 10 oh hi for ab doesn’t have the speed to punch through oh all right it’s green flag and it’s out in the open I think he’s safe that was a big break for ab it really was Babcock T of 11 uhoh why so wide Pho I’m not sure you know I think it’s the more traditional play these guys are used to throwing there’s a bit more space just inside of that flag pole but it’s a new shot for them that hasn’t been available GOA that makes sense bird on t t that one is wide enough oh that’s massive I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go after the green and two here with the score what it is right now yeah just try to get something going you know get some momentum on his side we’ll see for go nice high wide Hiser for rolin as well should match Ganon bur’s effort short center of the Fairway and Simon coming off his first bogey of the day back on nine camer doesn’t give it credit how hard that shot is Ian this one right here just t- shot to get up and come back in bounds too so easy to underthrow it as we saw from Ab and now from potentially Simon I’m not sure if he broke all the way through he did get through that looked a little tight out the hand but man it’s so easy to make that mistake or you’re trying to really hammer it out there and you let it go a little more flat than you like and it just hangs out there and just drops straight down like it’s in an elevator yeah such a tough shot to get sides on a t of 17 this is another tough one to get talking about a finishing run that’s got some teeth got about 60 trees you got to beat here to get out the gap down the middle bounces out to the left that shouldn’t hurt him too bad looks like he stayed in the Fairway yeah playing for par from there back to 10 Bella his second get past that tree he’s in good shape oh yeah that’s lovely there for Anthony Bella have a nice angle in from there anything past that big tree on your second year in business I want to be back on top of that Hill trying to make it in that tiny little green we are live with sides for his second looks like a putter smart play here guy just give yourself an angle that you’re comfortable with take your par and get out of here as close as you felt comfortable to that OB line and try to get up up and down from there flying above whole 10 Fairway look like Ganon Burr checking his lie down there believe that is Ganon ganon’s well above the target here and that green is down below him to his left looks like he’s just playing the straight shot some guys do get a little froggy here and you see that wind blowing left backwards that’s a headwind I don’t think he’s going to go after it just play for position take the partner the birdie rather and get out of here my go oh wow just barely the tall crash kicks him back in he almost threw it away Ian you got to be an Iowa native for that to come back in bounds major love right there that was terrible that was not his best effort got away with it somehow though you see what he’s going for you know just keep it under the tree limb there and get that thing moving left just hunging out there a bit much Simon second Simon see waving the red up there on the hill so Simon’s throwing one away we’ll see where that ended up hard to say I think that went left yeah did at least you should have a look at the green oh yeah little it’s better than missing right you miss right and you’re like horseshoe and the thing in there it’s not very friendly does ralin think Eagle f with this drive I don’t know man it’s these guys throw the disc so hard I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go after it that’s a layup for position trying to get to that bottom left little cubby hole cut out there we go that’s a nice spot to finish that’s great jumping ahead to 17 again this for time for Adam hamus his second was playing really well just two off the lead that’s what heck of a drive sure was what flag did get the good one that the worst shot is that for the 10th birdie of the day at 17th more it’s something like that let’s see not many on the afternoon yeah there’s like 12 or 13 there you go yeah second shot for Badcock on 11 he was way out of position Pho looks like he can be buried along the left side unless we got a favorable kick and return back to the Fairway yeah sides on 17 will throw his third to attack that island green plenty of space left of the target trying to get onto that Iowa shaped green up there nice smooth swing this is looking good there’s some clap approved yeah he must be safe he’s got to be inside 15 ft with the action on that shot back to 10 Bella his third he’s just B four five steps off the basket there for Anthony Bella despite the drive we still birdie got a big arm man cover it up a lot of people don’t get anywhere near where Anthony Bell’s second shot was after they hit one of those trees early it’s such a long carry up and over that hill and what an advantage andon throwing his third don’t want to hang it out there too wide Ian want to try to hug that tree line a little tighter than it visually looks like you have a lot of space to work with but it comes pretty tight that OB line here you go you see him trying to keep it tight does it have the length it does green flag forer right on theed to Circle one Simon throwing his fourth scrambled up a five at least after the erant second he made the mistake in the right place you’re going to miss you Miss to the left opens things up easy chip up and down it’s brutal when you guys see Guy missed along that right border and they’re in the shadows or something right down here and just get nothing man completely buried oh man such a tough shot that’s a great look at the gallery from our flight Factory drone make sure you guys head over to flight factory.com and check out all our swag should be a QR code popping on your screen shortly ralin throwing three rou te little backhand approach uses the back stop nicely tap in birdie coming way you draw it up here that’ll get cool to five it’s good Pace nice and steady yeah you don’t got to do anything flashy out here just got to collect the birdies when they come try not to give them back do something like that young man Mr sides up on top the board keep those Bogies away grab you some birdies trying to avoid a bogey here on 17’s green this is for par oh second blemish of the day for Mr sides that one’s in the basket for a moment as well jumps out on the backside this putt for Hamas is now to tie sides little two stroke swing here feel like Adam H is due for a solid weekend it’s been long enough you know guys’s got such a great game yeah he [Applause] does the magician from monoa I they make him say it I promise everybody they make him say it I love it I love it Canon b for birdie there he is can’t hold him down for long nope and popping from one Island to another Babcock this will be his third on all 11 look at you dude nice little sidearm out of out of the woods along the left side that’s a tough shot with that Hill like that well done back to 10’s green for ab making short work of that birdie putut lone par coming Simon Doan will drop in birdie and as they make their way to the next we’re going to sneak in another break on the network we’ll be back in just a few this is latitude 64 we handle the smallest of grains with the greatest of passion always trying to improve trying to be better out of curiosity excitement out of thrill for the player for the game game cuz we want to make this golf awesome for you introducing the birdie Derby are ready to run tournament package from Prodigy dis it’s the perfect three dis tournament to welcome new players and G craft jerky is an awesome snack when you have a hankering on the course you need a little something to pick you up out there so you can really get after a drive or finish on a putt and capitalize when you’re playing the disc golf round and you’re hungry and you don’t have a snack on the course you start to lose focus you start thinking about what am I going to eat for dinner with double gcraft jerky that’s not a problem [Music] [Music] AB T of 11 Barella in business up the te Burr next up there we go that’s more of what I’m looking for beautiful spot on man you put it this much better than that center of the Fairway love it rll also very good very [Applause] good and now Simon that’s nice oh no that was rude rude man of all the places for his disc to come down on the tead and a head on the green Babcock that’s a nice part it really is after that drive a great part his third out of the woods that that touch forehand really pretty along the side of that Hill that was impressive man from down below getting up over the crest and fading out and stopping good stuff well for the moment it’s being called a bogey on I wonder if we miss missed a pitch out early on the missed a pitch out for Gavin we’ll keep an eye on that oh so this was his third to get to the forehand even oh wow this is the one brutal got about 30 ft and hit breaks all right so Babcock does drop a stroke he’s at seven still plenty of time for Badcock a lot of birdies ahead mallan throwing two look at this position in center cut no nip something along the right side kills the speed hard coming for rallin hard to get aggressive on that basketb such a narrow shot that second one that second shot is very I mean this whole the entire hole is narrow you don’t have a lot of room to work with it seems like a lot of space off the te but you’re aiming for 40 ft of Fairway you got a 30 foot wide Fairway bottlenecks up there with the trees pushing into the Fairway definitely requires a narrow Skinny Shot for a second something like that does it climb the hill pushes it a little long I yeah I think it needed to get that higher if there was even the air space for it though right he’d had it it’s just hard it’s it’s a tough shot man you don’t want to aim higher makes you want to pull it a little bit more or early release so I could see him trying to jab that thing right down the middle and hoping the overstable would catch him up and didn’t happen for him big t- shot for Adam Ham on 18 trying to bring home the seven or better oh my I think he got it I think he did too oh look at this Ian out there in the sunlight that’s a job done for Adam hamus with his sidearm abilities he should be able to fire that thing up there and give himself a look and back to 11 for lazat a really mean skip hurts this angle a lot might be able to figure this out I he’s just enough room he’s going to have to miss this first one right on the edge there it is does he get stable fast enough get a big skit that’s really well done there from Simon lazat awesome excellent effort not many guys can make that happen from a standstill Paton pending shot of the day Contender Simon laac number 11 that was special it was the tombstone pinch the ankle a little bit see if you can work it left enough there you go get a little helpful roll somewhere around circle’s Edge yes sir Babcock coming off the bogey on 11 takes a t of 12 good spot to grab a birdie though telling me man stealing the words right out of my mouth talk about your bounceback birdie stat you got to get this one simple little double Mando just under under 300 ft out the hand looking perfect Ian o a straight skip though oo that was hot it was that was a greasy skip maybe there’s a putt in there we’ll find out once it gets up there besides T of 18 oh yeah get out get out yeah let’s go let’s go indeed Mr side gets through the gunin at the 18th used every inch of that Fairway by what a change from the years past whole 18 that treacherous par five up the hill to this now very treacherous Par Four same basket but completely different shots Robinson back on 12 is this going to bend over and he tested the ceiling on that one he’s coming up short I yeah pry look though sure is back to 11 for rallan and his third oh that oo get down and stop oh these can catch Edge and roll out a bit not too bad but not great yeah that was just thrown long release there for Rolan he’d like to see him aim up on the high side and yeah kind of come back down towards the basket instead of aiming below the basket try to come up the hill Burr went long with the approach coming back for bird he finds the cage good effort he’s online they’ll start dropping eventually so bad we all left for birdie Circle two ab sitting at four under on the day in the mix this would do a lot big time this is such a difficult putt basket’s right at the precipice it’s going to fade and drop off right after the basket from this position oh tough to make the body give it the the full s there it’s tough man a lot of these greens are tricky either an elevated basket or a slope or water or something in the way to just make you think about it a little bit more than you like Babcock a half go at most oh boy did that roll I hope not I never saw it see uhoh ralin coming back for bar Ed gets up and in nice save there for mallin update on Babcock look like he rolled to about 25 F okay still some mean on the bone little work left Simon for birdie great M from coldo absolutely this would be a great one for Simon from that unfortunate bounce off the T P into the edge of the trees and that one with authority that was a special birdie right there man that’s a par from Burr a par from Ab and Simon grabs a stroke on the card with that birdie Robinson to get the 500 on the day [Applause] it did O this is oh that’s not what you want got to get down on a knee straddle out he had to work his way in there too elevated basket all kinds of things going on here for Gavin Babcock trying to cover this up there you go he’s going to get a little taller there that looks better that first stance he had that didn’t look so good nice cover 18 Adam hamus throwing two this is an Adam hamus shot all day long here ladies and gentlemen he needs an up and down for a share of the lead as well danger here is hanging it out there a little too wide I like the linean does it have the speed was wor a little short but they like it up there Gallery approved opportunity here for hamus sides on the same throwing two looking up the left side you have the option there is a fairway off to the right there hugging the tree lines faded in he’s looking for the backand to use the wind got it up there this thing’s bending right here it comes Ian gorgeous gorgeous shape on that one my man’s throwing some disc today he sure is he’s putting for birdie Circle too golfing that bag 13 backcock that might have been a really nice kick I don’t think that was that little tickle something happened out there he’s in circle too on the elevated at the 13th not a bad look yeah tight little hole back to 12 for Simon Chip Shot inside does FL it did he’s right over there where Gavin was in that same neighborhood he’s going to make that way definitely we got a new name bubbling in our top five over there you see it no way how did he do it Barella tf12 talking about Chris Dickerson in case he didn’t pick up on that jump the Rocks TR we’re back back in the middle of the country which means we picked up Chris Dickerson again always nice to see his worst finish this year Pho is 13th that was the chess.com been in the top 10 every other tournament back into form huh sure enough those first couple Seasons he came out man he made a big splash sure did part of that 1050 gang remember that I do bir that’s that’s a birdie put at least foron dollan I believe he hit the Mando Tree on the left and Hope that didn’t get too far past we’ll see in a second 18 Adam hamus did come up a little short looks like he’s Circle two maybe edge of Fairway for Adam hamus go to the stepper he’s got some room long so he can be aggressive up oh oh so close we’ve seen so many of those today great effort there from Adam though just surfing on the rim Robinson 13 team go around the Fairway defining tree use some ground plays slides that in circle one not bad there for Mr Robinson might have remembered both he and his brother finished on the Podi of last year sides for birdie and a share of the lead yes sir what a round what a round he’s going to remember that for a long long time Babcock on 13 has a birdie look this is also for a share of the lead 47 foot little downhill texture Babcock in the heart Co leader h to play what a gutsy pot Pho and he’s feeling himself right now I’ll tell you that he is let’s roll back auka on this little stepper out of Gavin money it’s really fun to watch a guy come into his own man really start to feel that confidence it’s this exuding off of him you know just he’s pushing it out there I’m feeling it man let’s go you’ve been grinding hard the last few seasons and on the top of your inaa rounds you’ll find Babcock new some man sides all he down don’t blink though that Robot Chicken Guy not far behind everybody else in the house just one bogey on the day for Chris Dickerson that black on hole four okay you can live with that a tough one yeah AB has a long birdie look on 12 sails that one high had the action on it just a little bit wide Burr also putting for birdie that’s more like the Ganon bur we’re used to seeing nice man connects from Circle Edge and R dollan how far did he run that thing back there this is for bogey for r dollan is that a m mandatory oh excuse us this the save par oh that’s the bogey we were talking about that’s a that’s 5T not 29 ft he went out of bounds on the upshot apparently he was putting for par from there and now he’s going to get the bogey watch Anthony ber coming back for par second down there from G [Applause] over to Simon let’s have a look at two going I have to go air bounce on this or just do a normal putt there’s time for an air bounce on this put it’s so short one little thing in his way on the way out see if he can make this work ah had to float it a little more than he wanted to got the nose up made the just turn hard unfortunate there for Simon having a hard time getting the momentum rolling you know just keeping it going he’s having some good moments can’t capitalize on that awesome drive at the E throws it away on the ninth just having a hard time getting the wheel rolling boogey dropp in for ralin not a ho you can make bogey on out here facog Tif 14 he’s going to like that Ian nothing wrong with that he’s going to love that love that we’ll show you his second shot on the other side of this break we’ll be right back I’m David Wiggins and in 2016 I set the disc golf world distance record with a throw of 118 ft whether I’m out in the field measuring a max distance throw or on the course checking the elevation change for an upshot I rely on the eagle Seeker 360 to give me accurate distances it’s the only Rangefinder on the market that measures in feet yards and meters it’s USBC rechargeable and features a lithium ion battery visit Eagle Seeker 360.com to get yours today [Music] oh [Music] [Music] tone technology by Clash discs [Music] welcome back on ho 13 it’s like gon bur on the tea got to say in the pace is great when the weather’s good around here huh no slow backup muddy Fairways you know just things are moving out nice clip that is a brave slow-mo operator right there hurry up hurry up okay rumbles in there nice Qui Simon stepping up next not a lot of room for error playing the sidearm here you got like maybe a 5 foot window you’re trying to bounce that thing for the skip let if you go that way oh Simon so close that’s going to be a tough par scramble yeah a bunch of trees between his disc and the basket Barella not [Applause] bad where’s all Co nice and tight let’s see if he beats everything he’s got the heat nicely done from Co R all in in circle one tap in range PP [Laughter] time good Babcock throwing two on 14 will it skip up the hill it will not all right it’s safe though yeah it’s true pars are good and at least a green light on the P too for sure Robinson is second on the same it’s a nice angle to work with that play something on the overstable side there you go oh catches a bit of the canopy kills the speed a safe wide open look though Circle Edge it looks like flying above your featured card on 13 green Simon lazat in his second coming up as seen down there not bad to get inside Circle from back there for Simon man that had another three or 4 Ines of air underneath it I think he would have been parked super close a little catch disc out of Simon right there I feel like that technical spinny throw is kind of leaving the scene of dis golf Simon’s one of the Masters of that play and it’s one of those things that you would love to have in your bag if you can develop it it really can save you from a lot of things especially when you don’t have much of a swing to work with and you’re relying on your wrist a lot Barella for birdie closer to the Fairway than Circle one yeah how many have we seen today everything but in for Anthony barel just trickles out the right side to be fair I think it’s our players is not the basket you know what I mean like they they’ve just been teasing that thing right barely Off the Mark yeah they look so good like for the majority of the flight and they hit a bunch of things that are metal and then end up on the ground yeah it’s very annoying for the gang oh that’s annoying for Simon that’s un that one stab that in there right Bird to grab two bres on lazad all of a sudden four birdies in the last five holes like we said after he made that bogey if he could still turn things around and get right back in this and here’s another opportunity for Ganon Iceman doing Iceman things it ain’t over till it’s over says genon BR gets the five down just three off the lead how fast was that that was crazy fast last hour we were like H he might not be a part of this tournament anymore and then bang SNS right back R Doan it takes mental toughness to do that man to see the guys on your card really starting to stretch it out you know what’s happened already you see Gavin out there crushing things I’m sure he’s taken all this in and then to be able to settle himself down and be like you know what I can still make birdies out here and get myself in this and make it happen good on them Babcock had a long look at birdie for the solo lead and we have caught up with Chris Dickerson we on 15 firo going two it looks like it yeah looks like six straight major are disc Pro to top 10 now the only time he’s missed was at the chess.com and he’s got 13th so it’s not like he played poorly sure he’s licking his chops here for this second shot wide open look you can feel that wind blowing through your TV screen right to left it’s going to accelerate see those trees bouncing around feather banners in the back does it get down fast enough it’s jumping out there in the wind oh it’s going to get sucked down towards the bottom left stay safe hope he does show up pretty quick there G him Circle two for that birdie putt but that won’t be his first voo he is new no new lighting it up at picker Park out Indianola live for birdie with Dickerson 15’s green also for the solo lead how about that Dickerson get up oh heavy chains on the left side that’s putt number 15 or 16 I feel like we’ve seen today is just all up in them chains and just won’t stay home Robinson does not make the birdie work he turned his back on that as soon as left his hand yeah and on the tea of the same you’ll find Ganon Burr has birdied four of the last five now just three off the lead I wouldn’t be surprised to see most of these guys throwing like medium distance off the te not really try to get all of it here at the 14th let show up and land like just past that next little clump of trees in the Fairway and then play the big spike Heiser up and over cuz they all have the arm for it it just takes all the variables out of the middle of the Fairway away we’ll see what they do that’s totally a layup oh yeah ganon’s playing for the up and over off to the left a little bit short perfect I like that though we saw you know those second shots across did not go that well we got that they typically don’t I’ll be honest with you and over the years I’ve played this tournament I’ve watched guys that try to throw it right down the gut and they end up in a weird place either a little pinched off to the right a little pinched off to the left and don’t land in the Middle where you need to be and then you just try to force something up there and those limbs hanging down it bottlenecks you got the bridge there’s just so many things going on I think all these guys are playing for the same spot left side of the Fairway just past those trees these that are showing up right now bang drop it down there throw it up and over and take your chances okay ralin finds that spot with his drive it’s hard to go after that second shot from the left side not easy barill a little more to the right I think he would like that to have finished a bit more left we’ll see he could fire down the middle from there if you’re on the right and center right you’re okay but when you get to the left it starts those limbs hang down and sag a little more more you’ll see it as we get there trust me Simon com out the boogy on 13 that’s aggressive that looks like they’re aiming Lefty in Fairway left that’s OB isn’t it that most likely is didn’t get over on that he was trying to get down there by the bridge it’s another 150 ft from where those guys were laying up gotta orm on 15 for birdie he get he’s at six there you go in the mix in the mix we love that word oh that got him to seven even I know hadn’t been updated yet Babcock back on the te of 15 that looks great that little tickle is not going to hurt him much Co you got to challenge that tree either way you’re going to catch a little bit of it most times TF 16 Matt orm and talk about needing a frozen rope this is the whole Mato this is looking great out the hand does it keep pushing forward that’s a solid effort there from moram it bottlenecks the entire way to the Target really does Dickerson at home in the woods on the tf16 little wide does it get skinny he sure used every inch of that Fairway on the right side miss everything second shot for Robinson on 15 down the hill just a little not bad not bad at all should be Circle one still Burr is looking up and over as Pho called for for his second fantastic camera work by a catch Cam and a great shot [Applause] too Child’s Play for these guys with their arm speed and their ability to go vertical with the disc and just man it takes all the danger of this hole out of play and ab off to the right looks like that Over the Top Shot not available fire one up the gut this is looking really nice Ian sure is right past chain high and there’s that tall grass grabbing up the speed just inside Circle one for Barella that was a really nice second shot there from Ab see he he had to put some shape on it absolutely yep yeah it wasn’t easy very nice cupcake was impressed Babcock throwing two 15’s Fairway yeah that’s just fine ideally you would like to be on the flat so you don’t have that uphill run up make you your hips point up when you’re trying to throw level does a good job there doesn’t get straight enough being yes nice straight finish for Babcock on the bullseye hello dang he’s golfing his disc this afternoon sure is everyone’s been headed down that hill with their second He Man most people do it’s tough to challenge that right OB and yeah not hang it out there too much back on 14 ralin so hard this is a big mistake that a lot of people get into on this whole end that’s exactly the thing that happens I’ve seen it happen over and over and over it’s such a fine line and you got to throw it hard and it makes you want to hold on a little longer tough shot out of position force the issue and he’s going to have looking for a par yeah it’s going to be tough Simon went lb left so he’s going to have a he’s far enough down the hill that he’s into the canopy he’ll have a uphill look at it we’ll see how far left they Mark him you might not have anything if they mark it under those trees and left cuz there was a little cut out there we’ll see yeah I didn’t I mean we’re all at the teapad so that’s best vantage point that I have like it went right okay closer right Ste than left if it’s there I might have to go all the way back if it’s there I might be here I I mean I feel like right on this like little babye yeah okay yeah I’ll get that right here yep now it’s a matter of what’s the line to the Target for Simon right if he can get any help with his line backwards they can all stay there I’ll go over them anyway see if he’s going to go back and pitch a Heiser over everything try to scramble out his par he’s got to be on line with the target from where the disc went out of bounds he can go as far back as he wants as long as it’s on the line and it bounds it’s a heavy play there from Simon yeah Brian how far back is Simon going for this this third now yeah he’s going back a pretty good ways it’s a good wind for it I have to say I don’t think it’s a bad choice actually I think he for sure brings in the potential for double bogey or something if he tries to shape something from back there in the woods you know Bops a tree goes OB again this and least he knows he’s going to get up there there’s really nothing to be worried about deep the only way you’re going to film this shot our flight Factory drone oo Brian that looks like it might be OB again and yes we are seeing a red flag unfortunately no short didn’t even get it there that’s surprising yeah going to miss Mark going to be I don’t did he even cross in bounds up there and then Retreat backwards into the OB we’ll find out it’s devolving rapidly there birdie look on 16 for Dickerson it’s for the outright lead too miss having this guy around he keeps the field honest he does does it dropping time for chicken no Robinson birdie punt on 15 short work there Robinson at six he’s just two off the lead back to 16 for orm with a birdie look for a share of the lead roll that tied Mator take oh here we go couple Savvy vets on the card Mato just one disc in front of Chris Dickerson he doesn’t miss from that range very often not at all we’ve got a five way tie at the top thanks auka for rolling back that Replay for us Simon throwing five that’ll scramble up a six at least can’t have that out here if you want to win man you know R Doan he’s throwing four isn’t he he is this is a long one fires a little pass he’ll be scrambling up a Bogue and we’ve got a five-way tie the Babcock has a chance to say something about that ah too close to miss man that was a beautiful second shot Gavin Babcock there we go your solo leader Gavin Babcock and could it be backto back Iowa residents winning this tournament that’d be awesome you never know that’d be a first for Gavin right I think it would yeah I don’t think he has a protour win under his Bell yet another unique winner in the makings early on here at the de Mo challenge 16s te with your leader you saw just a couple minutes ago how skinny you can get on the right side of this hole there is a little room but not a lot definitely don’t want to miss left I didn’t hear a thing did you he caught something about two3 of the way in Flight little bop to the right hopefully he didn’t bury him in there too much got through a lot for his Bat as he yanked that one Bella for birdie it’s back on 14’s green that’s a nice looking put from Anthony Bella AB he’s in the mix too a lot of guys in the mix at five thanks to that birdie it’s a clean five for ab too no Bogies today that’s good that’ll help the head space for Anthony buris or Doan cannot say the same as this is a another bogey putt sends him back to three how about the turnaround for genon Burr first half of this day was not looking so great for Ganon and all of a sudden he kicked that thing into hyperdrive and he’s caught up in a quickness right on the heels of our leaders bir’s on five at the last six checking out pho’s Philosophy for closing brought to you by our friends at blacking disc.com the premium disc golf store pretty sure everybody’s gotten a good look at the closing holes here aim small and Miss small cuz you hit something early you’re going to get punished on 16 17 and 18 got to find those Fairways stay as close to them as possible and then you can scramble out your pars mental toughness you’re going to need it this weekend you see the names are piling up already it’s going to be a shootout all weekend it’s going to be a test of who can keep their head on their shoulders and keep things together the box of 15 genon Burr okay hanging on the left Edge looks like he got over the over the crown of the hills might be on the flat Barilla I like that swing in little cut cut swing there we go kind of good take any chance of the disc Rising on you with the Heiser ran that works as well join AB right there in the middle and now Simon three over on the last two has sent him back to even on the day got of play chance to get back on car with a good second there orm tf7 how do you like it Ian one tree to beat did he catch a stump oh I think he caught that stump enough maybe he’s out there I know he would have liked to seen that get that finish to the left and have a wide open look and Babcock a tomahawk out and he’ll have that left for par can’t be more than six steps yeah see the bullseye whisker there dropped in just a few feet behind that 17 Again Dickerson money oh money that’s perfect fantastic even left as well I’ve seen a lot of guys play the sidearm on this hole just so they can get up on the high left side uh not surprised to see guys using the righty hand you know overstable up the right side as well just seems like it’s harder to get the disc to the left from there makes sense a live look at the Fairway of 15 the gallery gets ready for some second shots Barella throwing two he be screaming at that thing to go that’s just fine for berel off the bullseye marker four Paces for a birdie one of the best looking second shots we’ve seen in there similar to Gavin Babcock’s different position but nice finish hit the brakes and checking up right there foran also throwing two you know what I also noticed I think these guys are going mid-range and we’ve seen other guys throwing Fairway drivers and that’s going to maybe come back in it’s going to be close I don’t know be ralin throws one away it’s been a little loose lately yeah challenge that line a little too much Anthony Bell’s just never left inbounds Simon the same thing happening just fades in timeo that knurled in bounds by the skin of it teeth there was that in bounds that shot is harder than it looks ladies and gentlemen got some weird things happening out there with nature affecting the shot got the air moving you got the downhill grid you got the side slope you got the thin grass by the basket a lot of things happening Burr and his second spikier version that takes a big bounce fortunate there to catch a tree should be on circle’s Edge for Burr and what happen that putt to get the seven just two off the lead that’s insane man that’s crazy it is on 17 orm throwing his second that looks slow punishing he’s laying up punishing kick off the beautiful drive for Matt orm going to have to lay it up and Lay It Up take his par what a good looking drive for par Babcock to maintain that one-stroke lead get up and down after the drive f absolutely nice little scramble mhm he was in the thick of it not in a good place he figured it out though that little two finger overhand shot up there inside Circle one this drive for Dickerson on 17 was fantastic can he take advantage and grab a share of the lead little tiny bit of shot shaping here for Chris Dickerson he would like to be left of this tree and it opens things wide open would you throw forehand here Pho if you’re Dickerson I’m potentially yes the problem with the forehand shot is if you miss a little bit to the right you go be for sure there’s not a lot of room there it’s safer to play this shot and Miss to the left out of bounds no out of bounds that’s what our up scoring update says ouch wow ralin after finding the out of bounds has this for par he gives that an honest effort and I don’t that was not honesty and he just got double punish cuz that was high and floaty that caught an edge and he is out of bounds again down there on 16’s teapad do you just reput I wouldn’t I would rather have the uphill look oh okay yeah Dickerson from the Drop Zone throwing four man how fast things can turn on 17 and 18 huh get ready for Sunday buckle up nothing’s over out here till it’s over kind of us DDC Vibes huh kind of quite as drastic but yeah it’s punishing you don’t get onto that Island on your second have to go to a drop zone that’s tough bcck on 18 oh excuse me 17 T takes the forehand line and almost hits it perfectly one tree to beat kicked him into the woods taking birdie out of play ralin on 15’s green trying to make a bogey putt drop in a double I believe was he in Bound then no he was out for sure cuz that was one was safe two he threw out putt went rolled out so now he’s putting six so he’s dropping in seven okay that the scoring is way off yeah Simon coming down the hill for birdie it short and get Burr to get within two of the lead wide open look nothing to worry about on this putt kind of have to give Ganon some credit for that putt he made back on whole five too I mean that was a pretty special put talking about an OTV shot of the day moment oh that was a fun one wasn’t it I think that really kind of got things going for him he did make another bogey after that but I think that putt Maybe started to make him believe a little bit again off center there over the rim but a little left for genon sometimes those stick that one does not 17 orm has third and is under the bucket despite the drives or’s going to pick up a stroke on Dickerson how about that huh yeah it’s just unfortunate Dickerson you know trickles OB there don’t get to progress they might end up at the same score if the rules are there gella a nice birdie AB in the mix six down I’m sorry I could understand going to a drop zone if you never got to the island mhm if you never crossed in you never crossed it yeah it’s extremely punishing when they make the rules you don’t make it to onto the island you’re automatically staying on The Fairway you’re on at the drop zone that’s tough on the green Dickerson for five [Applause] bad time to make bogey for Dickerson but he’s still definitely a part of this tournament M well in the [Applause] mix here is the par drop in for orm fantastic approach [Applause] taking a look at hole 16 which is our one shot energy hole you got code dgpt for 25% off at onot energy.com brella one tree to miss oh and got him so close you got to throw it like that though you got to throw it hard and test that right side just a smidgen G bur got two Ties on our feature card right now two guys at six two guys at even oh trying to make oh all right he’s still up there Circle two shallow he’s that Simon next to T mean kick that could go out of bounds too there’s some OB on the left side if that thing accelerated to the left you just never know not wishing it for him just letting you know yeah doin miss it all baby going the chams cold world my man that was [Applause] awesome we got a one shot energy replay use coupon code dgpt 25% off chain High couple discs off man from being on has the good uh decency to slide back into the bullseye at least M just cocked up everything earned on the previous and gets one back on 17 I believe that’s Babcock pitching out two two holes in a row he’s had to go to the overhand shot never a good sign but dig it out though I think speaks to how bad the ref is here that’s all you got that’s a good point Robinson attacking the green on 17 job done side Circle one awesome stuff back on 16 Brian how did Simon’s kick treat him over there not great uh just going to be honest on this one he threw it with a lot of pace a lot of Spin and uh it was a nasty little kick off to the left and when you’re off the Fairway at all you have a bunch of little gaps to choose from let’s see which Gap he picks here thank you Brian it’s a great spin man that’s again one of those things one of those skills that Simon has that not many do to be able to just do a little standing spinny throw and keep things on a tight line similar to genon when he’s doing his little spinny putt thing you know Babcock throwing three got a fade no that looks op not that [Music] much big cooler for your leader ouch babock heading to the drop Zone he’ll be throwing five yeah five looking at a six here I was in one into the woods two into the Fairway three OB going to the drop zone for five ouch here it is 17 Pho you know as I was walking into the into the booth today I saw Emerson Keith out in the out the parking lot and he was like 17 is going to break some hearts today I’m like you ain’t lying brother that ho nice approach there to limit the damage a little bit of a Band-Aid up if you will Bella for two whole 17 playing 3/4 of a stroke over par 18 playing half a stroke overpower well they can all blame this cat right here it was his idea was it it was that was his first cracket design and I’m sure he was pretty nervous about it but I think he did well that t- shot’s demanding but it’s fair you know the rules are tough on 17 but the shots aren’t that bad BRS the birdie makes that look 7 Simon for [Applause] par Doan almost grab the one I’ll grab a two instead that would have been one of the coolest bounce backs I’ve ever seen man triple bogey to Ace been sweet usually it’s the other way around true you make an Ace and quadruple or something Uh Kevin keeper today oh man what did he do double right after his his Ace Robinson green of 17 and it’s tried to jump out didn’t it it sure did bonus Birdie on the day orm T of 18 bad Orum gets it sneaky we just also just saw Ezra ater hold which made me wonder about his score after the hot start yes it was three down through four and that’s his score yeah it’s tough out there my man it sure is no doubt Babcock all the way down and a tie for fourth yeah it’s not much of an all the way down Bird’s the 18th he’s right back where he was there there you go that’s the way to look at it fell he needs to look at it that way he needs to let that go and erase have that mental toughness and bounce right back 17s T Burr Oh missing he threw it down the middle and he’s going to miss it all in come on dude wow Houdini in the flesh ran better to be lucky than good Pho some days man that shot oh my goodness I thought he was cooked I’m sure everybody thought he was cooked oh that looks yanked get lucky like yeah got out how about that be lucky like in got to be greasy sometimes man you do part of the G you know Bella one of the best we’ve seen Anthony Barilla dropping a dime beautiful and Ganon Burr actually designed this hole let’s send it off to hear some words from Ganon Burr about the hole so for whole 17 here originally we were just going to go on the short side of the creek and then I looked over and I saw this big tree right next to me here and I was like we got to have a teapad over there and we got it put in uh the teapad was originally going to be about 20 ft right of me right now and then that Gap ended up not working and so the hand I kind of played was a little bit where the te goes but then definitely like kind of carving out the Gap so here we have two different lines the left Line’s a little bit tighter but we wanted you know lefties to have a chance or forehand players and then the right side here is going to be the most preferred line definitely right-handed backhand Heiser um but you still have to push pretty far before the OB long and then obviously second shot into the green super tough to Green’s the shape of Iowa which is pretty unique so you got to aim right for De Moine put it right there you’ll have about 50 footer to get your [Music] birdie we’re going to see a lot of sixes and sevens this week on this hole um I think we’ll probably we might even see a nine depending on you know if you hit early you got to pitch the mouth then pitch up to the top and then you go miss that miss the Drop Zone miss the second Drop Zone I mean it can it can unravel really quick yeah I’m excited to see how it scores this week so what part of the St that uh that’s a I mean that’s like to Rapids Iowa about which I’ve also lived there maybe toward waterl but um yeah got to throw your shot into Mo that’s fun Pho put the basket on De Mo I like I didn’t know that well the basket’s more Cedar Rapids Water L but you want to throw the disc towards de Mo it’s more in the middle thank and gon wasn’t wrong about that nine there there there’s one out there there is also a two though Pho that’s bad and we got to give a shouts to a thunder Schultz for the two about that sweet better part for the day Thunder schs two of them on one hole here you go 18 orm oo does it have the length shot quick oh Galler loves it he doesn’t like it I wasn’t sure if it had the length or not it’s it’s a blind shot you can’t see it you just know where it is what a shape throwing right at OB there Pho oh man that’s one of our favorite shots in the game man you can throw something out there against the grain and trust it back to the right takes a while to develop that swing man it’s a fine line isn’t it it’s a very fine line it’s so easy to blow that shot 17 a little too hard a little too soft not enough speed not enough air there’s just so many things in that combination that can easily find OB on 18 but when it works man it’s fun to watch it’s beautiful one of the prettiest shots in the game ralin attacking the green on 17 there you go City’s in in he’s in De Mo baby nice right in the middle Bella all the room in the world for this shot Strokes on folks opportunity here for Bella center of the Fairway this is looking nice I should have the length oh beautiful just off the bullseye hash there for Barella tap in coming up looks like cup kick brought him some luck this afternoon sure did got a clean one going doesn’t he he did last time we checked yeah still clean it is BD his second on 17 trying to throw it in oo just a couple feet shy good look there for Ganon B count that one that’s for a share of the lead too how did that happen dude quickly is the answer wow my goodness 18 with Dickerson what a drive for that similar action we just saw from Matt orm hanging that thing out there towards the grand stands the gallery SL SL that thing back in you get too close on those trees you know you’re going to miss off to the right looks like the mid-range even for Dickerson there we go all right all [Applause] right there is Iowa 17’s green a Doan looking at a birdie pet so what side of a de Mo are you on follow the Rolan side or the beer side rolin side west de MO bang bang ralin trying to scratch his way back into respectable this afternoon after the landmine triple bogey back there at the 15th Burr for a share of the lead what else can you say about this guy he’s he’s starting to do those Pablo things man yeah he you know yeah he’s starting to get into that flow of like I’m not I might be down but I’m not out there was a time when you could see that would weigh on him a bit more at a certain point in of the round and you wouldn’t see the energy coming back and he just kind of slowly taper away and he start getting hard on himself and man watching him mature before your eyes has been really really something man 18 Robinson cut through the Gap should get a fade he’s waving it left there you go get around that tree he’ll like that man honestly anything past all those trees on 18 is great you can get an extra 89 ft even better but man just getting past all of this you literally have a 12T Gap here you’re trying to hit that’s all you get or you get lucky Babcock had the lead now one off it you could miss and do that that’s technically a miss and he got away with it yeah he did let’s Jump Ahead to the green Dickerson has a birdie looking for a share of the lead oh that’s not what we normally see from Chris Dickerson one of the most clutch guys I’ve ever seen man I L counting that one pH orm what a second from this man that was impeccable man that was beautiful perfectly executed second shot from mattor to leave him with this short tap in here for a birdie on the 18 and the solo lead how about that Matt oh that’s go baby savy betet and the treacherous 18 for your feature card other side of this break we’ll catch you there hello we’re Kenna we’re a Dutch growing company we love plants and we want to tell you some cool things about them just like humans plant plants can communicate they can sense when another plant is close plants look out for each other too they warn Neighbors about nearby threats by secreting substances and Studies have shown that plants love a good tune we love and understand plants let our passion excite you too the number one reason I switch from bag to cart is pretty simple takes weight off of my back easier to play a course I realized that the cart became something I really needed when little things would happen i’ pick up my bag and my elbow would hurt using a cart decreases the bending over the weight on my lower back decide to go with sugar and seeing that my stic nerve is gone and I don’t need to worry only one thing I have to worry about to get birdie because my Suka done it all for me [Music] AER hole on 18 you saw the drive a few moments ago roller oh no look up yeah if those weren’t there that might have come back in it found a gap like the lone Gap in the boards and it finds it man unbelievable cuz otherwise that’s going to get straightened out and then curl back might have even bounced off of those things and come back in what an unfortunate break there for him oh my goodness yeah good good Jukes by the gallery though good footwork there nice nice work man foot loose all over the place someone should have hacky sacked that thing back over there man that been a deserving break bcck throwing two on 18 kind of got away with the drive can he get away with a second that’s super tight that’s a great kick there for Gavin man if that thing goes in the middle of those trees it’s another stroke for sure or in the Fairway instead Robinson roller okay caught something oh no ouch the aggression costing Strokes there for the gang yeah good with you let be a really cool stamp fell though cupcakes just mesmerized right now bur on the box of 18 look at that back nine you guys back 10 even here’s a reason why he’s the tour leader at this point in the season yeah little bit of a pull got a chef’s kiss and instantly beat down does not make it through the initial Gap have some work there for Ganon I imagine just play for par be smart force the issue you’ve seen a bunch of guys just get a red flag better position than you’re in also needs an eight to hold on to that League car position for tomorrow that’d be just fine for him yeah for Doan oh that might have pushed forward through that stuff a bit Ian it’s going to be tough to say from that angle Barilla oh my never got the disc into the center defer on the left side that’s going to be some extra work to get into the clear Simon and as they make the way up the frea we were going to grab some words from your tournament leader Matt Orum take it away Grant at orm 9 under par unless something fluky happens at worst a share of the hot round for the day what was more surprising to you birding half of your holes or avoiding a single bogey on the day well my goal was nothing but I had had two Bogies to spare before the round so that was like my limit was too bogey so that was just trying to I was just trying not to Bogey versus making birdie so I guess it came out kind of towards that direction in a way you’re the first one that we’ve gotten to talk to tell us about the conditions and how the wind is affecting things I definitely put a couple new discs after watching the ladies this morning because uh I don’t think I played in the wind honestly since like DDO I didn’t do the a Portland or none of that so it’s been a while since I played in the wind so I ain’t had had to throw a couple dogs in there but yeah it’s definitely different these holes gotten a lot harder this year especially on the back n probably like one of the best back NES in disc golf right now I mean that back n’s pretty sweet and you just I don’t know it definitely affects it cuz there’s tunnels Hills and OB a couple blind up shots but you can’t see the OB on so did you have some sense of how well you were doing compared to the field and do you have a sense of how hot you need to be over the weekend I never know what I’m doing I didn’t know what I was doing in MVP I didn’t know what I was doing last week I don’t know what I’m doing now nine under uh is three nine unders good enough to take this down on Sunday uh yeah it’s pretty close I think that’s pretty close the course has gotten considerably harder at the end but I say that’s somewhere actually about what’s going to be right Maro sitting pretty going into the weekend here in De Mo boom roll to thank you grant and or unconscious Matt Orum I don’t know where I am or what I’m doing I’m just shredding like normal crushing the field it’s how you win tournaments Burr did not get out Pho that did not go the right direction either off that tree no kick to the right wasn’t it yeah you want to see a kick to the left if anything forehand roller for ab let’s see if he can get out into the open I love the idea with all those trees it’s going to turn up the hill too oh it’s it’s all right out in the open most of the way got a free swing and get past the trees you’re all right yeah a bogey putt for Robinson on the green of 18 not a bad day for Mr Robinson oh he’s going to slide back it’ll tie for 14th Badcock a sherff fif for Badcock solid afternoon Mar weed and back to 18’s Fairway must be looking at Burr imagine so he’s the only one that ended up in the right back there Brian did you happen to see where uh B got to after his second yeah he’s real deep in the right side this is is really tough it’s real thick back here uh not sure he’s going to be able to advance too much it’s just going to be a little Pitch Out to the Fairway he’s got a long way to go gosh bogey at best now Pho that’s painful for Ganon after putting in all that great work over the last 10 holes really pulling his head out and getting things moving in the right direction and then you know you get to the final hole and get off the grid a little bit and then get punished on the second shot he’s going to have to just do as Brian said take his medicine try to get himself back onto the short grass and throw a great shot to scramble out a bogy hate to see him take double here that’d be brutal but I me it’s very likely at this point seems more likely than not cuz even if he gets out from here this up and down isn’t going to be easy it’s not easy and it depends on which way he can go as he goes out if he’s going out coming left back down the hill just makes it harder if he can get something moving forward and right okay gives him a little help let’s see hard to see what he’s looking for a little sidearm here roller that went 20 ft at B you maybe 25 so now he’s bringing double into play I mean he’s about to throw four he’s not getting up and down from here no absolutely not is triple in play now if he goes dum dum yeah I think he can definitely save double if he can progress another 100 ft from there if he’s got a swing for 100 ft get himself into the Fairway I think he should be able to make that work yeah he’s got a great sidearm there’s plenty of room out there to the left he’s got a few trees to beat a bunch of green grass gosh he not even where a good drive gets now it would be past these next two big trees in on the left side looks like he has a swing this time though there you go so sh should get up and down from there let let’s hope yeah we’ll hope for that wow Simon throwing two after the early tree gosh how many strokes do you need to feel comfortable on 17 going on Sunday going into 17 and 18 by like five six I don’t think it’s going to happen man I I just don’t see it happening the way that things have shaken out so far in round one and everybody SS you know like the squirt gun thing at the carnival with the horses you know and it’s like one horse goes the next horse goes the next horse goes it’s like they’re just jockeying back and forth and I feel it’s going to be that way all weekend long it seems like someone gets a little moment oh they trip up and horse number two is up against the rails he know it’s like it’s going to be like that all weekend every two minutes the scores are going to flip-flop and somebody else going to do something cool it’s just going to continue until we get to the final stretch and it’s going to be you know who’s standing by the end of this weekend the way things are looking who can survive all the roller coastering that’s the word for it for sure down this stretch it’s going to be an interesting watch that’s for sure this this going to be a really exciting conclusion you can tell already is that Barella in the woods over there no that’s not BR must be ralin there got to be cold yeah so he actually did get a bit of a swing out of that drive wow that he’s going to have a look for a birdie three after that From the Rough man with he progressed up towards the edge of it he didn’t go into it like Ganon did he actually had something that was a fantastic effort Barella and his third stagger Gap here to contend with out the gate that looks perfect dud [Music] solid effort there from Ab to get inside Circle one try to scramble up a par amazing it’s good stuff man world class sidearm action right there not many guys who got that in the bag fired up there with that kind of speed and angle like we grabbing range for his fifth now thinking 270 is just inside 300 8 to 250 Chip Shot here for gon bird trying to salvage the dub throws it in for a bogey perhaps no left side oo on the edge good thing thats something there float him up on face for Ganon get a little loose here at the end Brian as they make their way down the Fairway any final thoughts for this day one before we let you go I got a bunch of thoughts Ian but I guess the first thing that comes to mind is 17 18 are just some nasty holes and for them being so new they look beautiful I mean the grass and the fairways uh how well everything’s trimmed up it looks like these have been here for so long and I love the way that they’re playing right now I think the lead card or lead feature card going three down on 17 is just unbelievable stuff so excited to see how this plays out I agree with Pho it’s definitely one of those weird carnival games with the horses I love that analogy to you Brian there the B great job as always man appreciate everything you do I like that point Brian made they the holes don’t really stick out as new holes you know don’t they they don’t look out of place no no they did a great job the ground crew was out here working super hard yesterday trying to get this place as dried up as they could with all the rain we had and all the work they stairs on nine what an improvement to the course how treacherous that hill was trying to get up and over there without those stairs I mean all the little details that they pay attention to around here really pays off and it’s very much appreciated by these competitors out there in the field Doan can it get back to three under bang bang bang hat trick to close it out after the trip that’d be fantastic for young Rollin get in that basket ah all day long huhan seems like it everybody has been in that boat the putting has been close but no cigar all day long metal hits chain tick knouts bans the one that sat on top Kohls yeah from Circle two out there on whole six or seven was it six yep Bella for par in a Sher of fifth solid work for Anthony Bella this afternoon a clean seven under effort those are hard to come by out here that’s great work from Ab that third forehand was special Simon also for par good score after the Drive level par on the day not really what the Germans looking for but he’ll bounce back definitely got some more good golf in him burs approached the just a little bit into the rough and has this for double look like he barely threw the thing this is going to send him Pho from tied for second all the way down into 15th SL 14th it’s a tily pack this is right now it’ll look worse than it actually is though you know there’s a lot of names but you guys are all super packed up super tight you seen the stroke swinging all over the place already round one you can expect more of the same as the tournament goes on stay calm stick to the game plan nicely done by D turnip put applied on 18 telling me man you started to see the fluid squirting the tead back there he was Heming in a bad way good job to keep his head on and get the lowest score he possibly [Music] could frustrating day for ralin almost got the hat trick there to close it out that would have been a special finish birdie birdie birdie 16 17 18 unfortunately did have that big triple bogey back at 15th took all the wind out of his sails he could have been firmly in the mix right there with Ganon Burr at six under par if he would have got out of there with a par the only man I’m seeing that got all three of 16 17 and 18 Jake Heimer how about that yeah helped his cause he’s at six down he’s in the top 10 wasn’t he uh technically yeah right there you go one stick off yeah and welcome into the booth for a final time picker Park man it’s uh it’s quite the show follow absolutely they’ve done a lot of great work at this track over the years they used to have a little bit of a different look on the back nine the front’s been pretty similar a couple changes here and there but overall the course looks great held up great in the weather these competitors are out here enjoying that we’re going to get three full rounds in on time no weather delays should be a great weekend Fourth of July weekend everybody’s having a great time out here in Iowa man that’s awesome man love it we’re going to send off to one more quick break on the other let’s start from the beginning I didn’t choose pound I chose Levi I trusted Levi to make the best bag possible he’s always trying to innovate he wants it to be perfect and I think he’s the kind of guy that nothing’s ever perfect I trust the product I trust the people behind the product at this this point I don’t think anyone’s disputing that it’s the best made bag [Music] [Laughter] Edge is a nationally recognized 501c3 charitable organization what we do is we empower the teachers with complete programming along with the equipment and a standardized curriculum so you have a One-Stop shot golf to the youth and if nothing else they’ve got a healthy game that they can enjoy with their families throughout the rest of their lives DC 2 1 welcome into the OTB after show let’s check out some Matt Oram highlights Your Leader Matt Oram caught up with him on 15 that was a birdie followed it up with a really nice one on 16 use the old body English to get that thing up there and circle one got to watch Chris Dickerson take a stab at it made the adjustment cashing that in took a break on 17 with the with the par and then on 18 file this shot man we that’s a veteran move right there buddy she pretty bending It Like Beckham left to right big banana peeping it cutting his eyes at it in the shade look at this guy we one of a kind I don’t think this golf would be the same without a mattio definitely not it was a weird couple years when you sit hanging out at home love that he’s back on tour again and he’s playing just as well he’s always played man it’s so impressive guy you know creeping into that 40e old bracket still out there slaying them crushing it good stuff Mato and welcome to the booth what a day at picker Park B that was really really fun man I I really really enjoy this this tournament this course it provides scoring separation great holes different shot shapes on almost every hole Yeah you know lots of variety out here at Pickard Park you know you got some big bomber holes start off with two big crushing drives one and two three gets technical four gets long five gets technical you know it’s like a nice little balance yeah the par 3es a lot of them are kind of short but they’re not easy you got to actually throw some really nice looking shots and I like that they took out old old ho 16 that little weird one was little button hook down in the corner with that really funky green and it was so slippery if it rains it’s just a hot mess down there all the little adjustments they made here at picker Park the finishing hle 17 and 18 those adjustments I don’t think anybody really enjoyed playing 18 big bomber Crusher uphill the whole way just if it’s blowing it’s a tough get it’s just all kinds of tough I like the changes that they made out here and it’s playing really well the pace was great today we didn’t see many backups everybody was flowing solid solid effort out here at picker Park yeah we got a really interesting leag C tomorrow what you got you know we got Matt orm Raven Nome who actually has been on a de Mo League card before all right Braden sides I think that’s that’s going to be our first sustained look at him right correct should be interesting and cool Montgomery likes to see him bubbling back up again yeah man he got that dub out in Waco and he’s been kind of bubbling and coming in going you know having some good showings and getting it together solid effort out here in De Mo we’ll see if he can keep it rolling yeah it’s going to be yeah you’re right it’s going to be an interesting watch a bunch of different styles of play yeah Matti ‘s got his own unique thing Colton Montgomery’s a ripper we saw a little bit of uh Mr sides today he seemed nice and clean he did you know we know what Raven can do it’s going to be a fun watch and we got to give Calvin heimberg a shout he was just playing in Europe I think last weekend the week before that was last weekend wasn’t it it should have been and then ho on a plane and he’s playing here and he’s going to hop on a plane and play back to Europe what a guy man that’s beast mode right there addicted to the competition man it’s hard to do man but when you when you’re out there in the flow man it just all bleeds in you don’t even think about it yeah and it is time oh wait sh Donovan the 14 the biggest of bounceback BYO that’s that’s probably a record that’s a big swing right there man wow not the best day overall but a day he will not soon forget I promise you that production do a DA of a dirty here that’s messed up man you guys are harsh man shade all day on the network let’s get out here let’s watch some OTP shots I I’m voting roller I love that PR sick Simon yeah I mean that Ace run from Coler do was pretty dope too oh that was a good one let’s see what they got run it for us OTV shot of the day fire it off boys drum rolls got to be the Simon line you called it early like why is Simon off to the right over here why is he looking left man nobody looks left on this hole well this is why ladies and gentlemen Simon lazat dropping sky roller on the 580t part three hurls up right around Circle Edge and unfortunately didn’t convert but showman putting on a show for the folks out here in De Mo this afternoon he threw some crazy shots today that he did why Simon why sometimes and then sometimes you’re like oh yeah like this why 1. Listening to Ian breathing after most sentences is TOUGH…the breathy laughs, NO ONE wants to hear that. AI could do what little he brings to a broadcast. Again I say, people get degrees for this…up your game DGN, this is NOT the best product you can put forth, we pay for this, commit to getting better year by year, I don't care how long these guys held a camera.

  2. Sorry man, can't keep watching footage like this. Catch me when disc golf is played in the woods. These huge ball golf courses rewarding only the kids who can throw the biggest bomb, this stuff got old years ago. "Oh but we can sell more tickets if people can completely surround the fairway." If you think that's the best way to grow the sport, I've got bad news for you. For real though I can't even be bothered to watch these tracks anymore. "Hey here's another 600 ft par 3, just a field, 2.5 trees… oh but we DID put some out of bounds stakes out there to keep it interresting." Yawn.

  3. top 10 finish at 66% of tournaments so far this year between the robinsons is insane haha
