McGregor just came back from the dead with these McGregor Mt miled irons and they’re about to shake up the budget friendly iron Market first off let’s talk price starting at just $549 for a full set these clubs are an absolute steal these irons have that classic players irons appearance with a thin Top Line now there is some offset built into these but couple that with a large face and that’s going to inspire some confidence at a address I took these out on course for a test and let me tell you I was blown away what really impressed me was the forgiveness even on off-center hits these clubs delivered consistent distance and Direction now let’s talk performance the workability on these clubs is outstanding I could shape shots with ease hitting low cuts and high draws on demand of course at this price point there are some tradeoffs I noticed minor imperfections the Milling of each Club if you’re a mid to low handicapper looking for a premium feel and performance without that premium price tag the McGregor Mt milled irons deserve a spot on your short list

  1. Why can’t brands like these release new sets for like $329. That way people will actually buy their clubs

  2. These look really promising. The offset kinda worries me. Maybe down the line if they update the sets for next year and refine them I’d seriously consider them.

  3. am a former pro who grew up during MacGregors heyday (70s). MacGregor has been a leader since early 1900's. I have a few different full sets of wood shafted MacGregor's. From the start they made pro clubs and clubs for higher handicappers. Search MacGregor OA wood shaft for a cool look back at history.

I ordered the MT-Pro irons being a huge MacGregor fan. I am a 3 handicap in my 60s. I picked up 3-4 yards per club unintentionally with a slight loft difference compared to old set.

The MT-86, MT-Pro, and MT Milled are all top quality irons and a great value for $$$.
