welterweight unbeaten welterweight avus Griffin here in Las Vegas AV tell the fans a bit about your record it’s it’s a pretty good record so far he Griffin man fighting out uh I’m from Chattanooga Tennessee fighting out of Las Vegas I’m 14 and0 13 Knockouts only one person got away tell them I’m looking for him um yeah just uh first of all for for fans that don’t know um too much about you where where are you from exactly and you know how how did this all all start I got the B I got it okay yeah yeah um I’m from chatt nooga Tennessee uh I’ve been boxing a while I grew up in the amateurs with um fighting a lot of big tournaments with a lot of known guys uh fonte Davis ederson Luben Dusty Harrison Tyler Howard um Jose a lot of guys a lot of big guys that y guys know now Victor pilis I grew up in am like with all those guys but I was a football player as well so uh when everybody turned Pro I went off and played college football for like two years and um I turned Pro 2016 and um now I’m 14 and0 I live in Vegas I’ve been out here like two years I moved out here like three years ago and um came out here to Chase my dreams and see can I hang with the big dogs so why did you you know stop playing American football and and uh come here I wanted to go to the NFL football boxing was always plan B so um yeah I really want to go to the NFL and then U I got into a fight in college one day and uh they suspended me and um I went home and like finished my semester like at a state college and um I was like I’m going back to the gym I couldn’t go to school without playing football and uh the state college didn’t have a football team so it was back to the gym for me so you’re training uh with Brian bow mcar so you know he he had uh probably the best wewe until he’s gone up to to 54 so was that you know part of the reason you chose BAC you know you know Terren and seeing what he’s done um no not really it was just it kind of just happened you know um we was looking for some things and um I was looking for a change up and some new things and um he was able to present them to me and um the chemistry just mixed and um we did like a week and a whole training together and um we’ve been clicked ever since then like December so at the moment you’re you’re Pro promotional free agent so I guess right now you can fight whoever on any show mhm that’s the way I like it man I want to just bounce around and display my talents on all the promotional PL platforms as much as I can so tell us uh you know when you’re next out um I have a fight coming up August 24th in Philly on um Chris coin and N undercard so that should be exciting fight big fight um Chris KOB is a big um big name up in the New York area so um that’s his area so I’m excited about that card and uh are you ranked in any of like the the governing bodies you know then if not uh the W the WBA had me ranked something I just saw a new post but boss rck I’m ranked like number 11 and I’m ranked 33 in the whole world and number 11 in USA Today so you’re you’re coming for the smoke uh soon yes sir man we climbing the ladder right now man one fight at a time you know we looking for everybody that’s above me we ain’t looking behind me we looking a for so everybody above me you know we coming okay uh I’m just going to throw some names at you and uh let get your opinion on them so first of all Blair Hobs uh who is from Philly and he had a big win isn’t he all right I think he’s from Philly anyway he had a big win over Broner the other week uh what do you think of him and is that someone You’ like to fight yeah that’ be a good win for me um uh he he got a good win over Adrian Broner not too much exciting it’s not it wasn’t nothing to be scared of I didn’t see nothing to be scared of you know uh Adrian Bron ain’t nothing like this so that’s a whole different type of threat in front of him so yeah I mean he looked like he’s a little strong guy but it’ be a good fight I’m a strong guy you know I believe I’m way more athletic than him so uh yeah that’ll be a good fight I win mine 2025 that would be also a big fight you know over here America two two Americans going at it yeah for sure for sure um that was a good win for him too so his name kind of buzzing right now my name buzzing so yeah for sure uh there’s a guy in obviously the UK Connor Ben who’s been over here a couple times uh you know I don’t know what his situation is at the moment you know with where and when he can fight but is that someone you’ve seen long as he clean we can fight uh I like on I like Conor Ben he’s an explosive guy uh I mean I like his um his Instagram back videos but uh yeah I mean you know long as he clean we can fight I whoop his flat footed ass too we can get in there we can move around do do you rate him at all Conor Ben Connor Ben could I rate him do you think he’s a good fighter yeah I think he’s a solid Fighter um he’s a strong explosive guy he come to fight so I respect everybody that come to fight that don’t come to um you know run and try not to get hit so uh I respect him he’s a good fighter yeah do you think he’s flat footed right I think he’s flat footed yes I think I see some things I can explore and take advantage of and there yeah I’m not I ain’t I’m not I’m not ducking no smoke now I know obviously uh boots senis is a guy who’s you know world champion uh what do you think of him and is that a future fight for you yeah that’ll be a big future fight man once I um you know keep climbing up the levels and getting through the stages that I’m at right now I’m like 14 and0 right now so um that’ll be a good fight in the future when I’m like you know uh knock out a couple more big names before I get to him and uh that’ll be a big super fight one day for sure I think that’ll be a Arena packout fight knock out artist versus good boxer most definitely yeah yeah uh talk to us about uh you know shant Davis knocking out Frank Martin what did you make of the fight good fight man uh Frank came out put out a good fight you know um with the Chan he had in in front of him he did pretty good but uh he got a little gassed out man he got looking plac it on them ropes and Devonte took advantage of it and made him pay sitting on them ropes you said uh that you you used to come up in the amateurs with tank you know do you do you see him around much you know what was he like about then as well back then uh he was little tank he was real small you know he still kind of short now but he was little tank then he um he come from um I want to say Headbangers Headbangers out of uh up that way if he didn’t come out of Headbangers he he ran with Headbangers and um we had a couple guys we used to fight uh JW mat Deon Matos javante Davis Dustin Harrison they all from the um DMB area yeah I grew up in the amateurs ringside National Junior Golden Gloves silver gloves fighting with all those guys yeah so you fought T before no I fought Dusty Harrison okay Dusty Harrison he’s Pro he’s 30 and0 he haven’t lost a fight since me I beat him in the 2010 um National Junior Olympics so in terms of uh you know tank who who do you want to see him fight next and who’s got the best chance of beating him I don’t know man I don’t think nobody [ __ ] with him uh they say they say Shakir got the best chance at 135 I think lomachenko too small he’ll put him down I feel like Shakir he’s smart you know um he’s smart he a good fighter you know what I’m saying I just don’t know I ain’t saying he ain’t got nothing I just don’t know how much dog he got in him cuz you know his style of fighting you can’t really see you know I’m saying the grit or how much you know what I’m saying like punishment he just can like just get real real mean with it you know what I’m saying but he a good fighter and he do have his moments where he aggressive but you know I just don’t know how much it is in there you know what I’m saying we know that javante got it in there Full Throttle he can bang it out he can box he can do whatever so let’s just that’ll be the fight I’ll be able to see that if you know if Shakur have the you know what I’m saying that mean dog in him I know you got some dog in him but you know when you fighting another dog then it’s like like two Rams you know what I’m saying so that’ll be the fight that’ll just give my full evaluation but overall he’s a good
