ready check check check hello mhm hello hello okay hello hello Emy Yang mhm we’re two events into this season of a New Year yes oh no I can tell by the reaction but can you talk about how you’re feeling after these first two events of the Year okay so uh [Applause] I my honest opinion about my game I’m actually not that happy how I started these two events you know obviously I missed a cut last week and I did not perform so well the first event either I thought I put enough time and effort in it but um but once this game started like I feel like I would head it out there so I have to I have to like restart over before Asia yeah true but on the on the positive side of that easing into the year with like a Tournament of Champions it’s a very kind of relaxed environment and then this first it’s a smaller full field event but it gives you a chance to kind of see where you’re at you’re like oh I knew need to work on this and this or yeah definitely definitely this these two this two Florida events um I could see what I need to like work on like before more bigger tournaments coming so that was good good for me yeah and we’re you’re or we you are getting ready to go including one of the stop is going to be Thailand but you have a lot of love for I think I love the golf course in the tournament yes I do enjoy it a lot and I wanted to be really prepared for for that trip so these two weeks will be a big one for me I’m not sure when this portion of the video will be out but we did a contest earlier mhm I think you’re prepared for all different if you need to do any left-handed 58 degree shots that I need to work on right pretty good or if you need a putt with your driver yeah I think you’re ready for that too but don’t worry you’re you’re Amy Yang you won’t need to do any crazy shots oh I hope not so flashing back to the finish of last year very very great finish winning the C group TOUR Championship yes what did you do during the offseason and did you make any special purchases with that $2 million to get that question a lot but um I have not done anything with the purse yet but um you know I just want to put it somewhere for retirement not like buying something and I don’t know just for later I think that that’s a real hon move I have to be smart Ben I have to be smart oh so for anyone that doesn’t know in Korean hamoni means Heron means Grandma he calls me Grandma she’s not Grandma she’s not Grandma she just won a tournament on lpj tour like 5 months ago or something not too like she’s doing great but she also calls me grandson but I’m not that young though we just we’re just making fun give me each other a hard time uhhuh H but means smart so yes you’re you’re smart person so your caddy Yan uhhuh I’m not I’m a little hesitant to even bring up Yan because they could go many different ways but what do you want to ask but you’ve been working together for several years now M can you talk about your relationship ship and what makes the two of you such a good team I mean yeah this is our fourth year working together and he has been helping me helping my game a lot yeah a lot I think it’s because I mean his personality is very like wanted to wants to help people you know he always gives 100% to other people and he for himself he he played professionally for a long time yeah yeah so he understands a game understands what players needs and I was pretty surprised when it like every time when he comes to a lesson he takes memo oh yeah about my game and what I need to work on what what are my weaknesses and stuff so when we are on the road and I’m having trouble doing something he knows right away wow yeah so it’s almost an extension you have your swing coach yeah but then he he knows the game well enough to therefore help like okay this is what she’s working on she’s not doing this properly yeah wow so now we spend fourth year together it’s he he catches even faster than before and even before I say something he knows yeah so oh my goodness I think it’s good to work with someone for a long time yeah yeah just start weaknesses Tendencies what you’re good at what you should be doing yeah this is a lot of compliments for Yan though this is like if you know Yan this is the most serious I’ve heard anything they’re all true though 100% yes but the other part of Y the other part you want to talk about other part of young what the other part the part you know that keeps you loose the the the person on TV when you’re when you’re like suddenly you start laughing like yeah what’s going on out there the PG the PG I mean he uh he makes a lot of fun of me too many way too many what’s an example example yes cuz you know like I would make mistakes on like English grammar and stuff M mhm and he would make fun of it what was the one I heard recently actually there’s a couple that I heard but there was there was I didn’t know there was some some sort of smell in the air or something mhm yep and I said oh someone smoking weeds the weeds it’s like there’s the weeds like where you hit the golf ball into the weeds oh but that’s not what it was yeah that’s what I yeah he would make fun of those ah just all kinds nonstop it is non-stop I don’t know and after 4 years like the material keeps coming mhm like it’s really impressive so we’re moving on from Yan what a wonderful person he is all around great caddy and great person keeps everybody loose we’ll talk about the rest of this year what does it look like for you and like schedule wise do you have it planned out or what’s what’s it looking like for you I’m going to try to play like around 23 events this year um now I have a couple weeks off I’m going to um leaving next Saturday to play Saudi Thailand and Singapore that will be that will be my first uh International schedule all right I’m excited excited yes you’re about to get a lot of flight miles going there yeah wait that part doesn’t sound exciting how do you look so excited no that that’s the only part gets a little like you get tired tiring yeah well and as we talk about the rest of the year do you have any goals are you a goal setting person and what are the goals if you have any no I’m more with uh how I feel about about it and just be there at one time like each time just be there like one shot at a time kind of like yeah one shot one week at a time one shot one week at a time just not really thinking about like setting a goal like if I set a goal like let’s make I don’t know one win or two wins then if I don’t like I will feel like not good about it like good about myself and I don’t want to do that to myself all I can do is I just prepare today well tomorrow well another day well and just get out there play this week well just one at a time yeah I like that a lot I think I’ve heard I heard someone I forget who said but like a process oriented it might have been Vision 54 actually P Lyn but like a process uh oriented goal so if you play well yeah then the winds will take care of us like they’ll happen you don’t have to think about just be the best you can be each day and then the other things will fall into place 100% I like it and last question I know you love food yes you know me yes is there any like this Asia swing is there any food that like you’re you have to get like while you’re in Thailand is there anything like of course tons when you’re in Thailand tons tons yeah especially mango is sticky I would it every day every single day yeah every single day oh have you ever been to Thailand I’ve been to Thailand I did a quick 3-day trip it was not enough time oh I know you should come back I will try to go back yes we’re going to shoot another interview there oh okay you heard it you heard it from Amy Amy how manyy thank you for your time best of luck I’ll see you soon hi hi ah okay thank you man
