  1. He tried the late flip board slide roughly a dozen times between the semi finals and the finals in practice. He didn’t get close to landing any of them. I asked him if he was going to try it in his run and he told me NO. After landing everything else I had a feeling he was going to pull it out of his pocket and he did. Compared to a lot of the other people in the finals, all of whom did exceptionally well, Yuto excels under pressure.
