Richard Bland’s back pocket um credit I think that was mythbuster live my mythbuster if it’s not if it wasn’t you I’m sorry whoever did the uh Bland slam that was a good one I saw Richard’s brother was out there touting the Bland slam I know he’s watching this episode so what’s up man hope you’re feeling better congratulations to you and your family of course uh clicks GC merchandise is flying off the shelves everyone wants a cleaks hat now because Richard Bland is like lemonia man is the hottest thing in golf right now dude Che Richard Bland where does he rank amongst the top golfers in the world like how high do we have to rank him now oh man um I know he came out and said that he doesn’t give a what thegr thinks about his game of golf he thinks the best golf he’s playing is now because he plays against Brooks and Cam and DJ and Bryson on on a weekly basis I he’s got to be in the top 20 in the world I mean he’s he’s played he’s played so well in live this year um he’s won two major he’s played in two majors and he’s won I mean he’s beat good Fields he’s beat guys that still could still go out and compete on the PJ tour so he still got he still got that going for him I mean how crazy is the thing right now both us trophy open trophies are going to live tournament it’s wild not only those two USGA us opens but three consecutive major Champion ships now with Liv Golf and it’s like five out of eight and 15 out of whatever n 29 it’s you know the numbers are just always on lip side with whenever you talk about major championships and the top golfers in the world and now they have the best golfer in the world over the age of 50 in Richard Bland and in my opinion the best golfer under the age of 50 in Bryson D Shambo so um wow you have him in the top 20 huh I don’t know if I can go that high I I I think you I think you can I think I think if you threw him in that feel that The Rock and mortgagees Pat me he would easily finish in that top 10 be a top 20 overall with you know throwing the guys who only show up for the big events and all that stuff I think he can be in top 20 his results have spoken for themselves like obviously he’s competing on the LI tour he’s in the top 25 there um and he’s only finished outside of the top I think he’s only finished outside of the top 22 in one event this entire season and he has like uh of the the nine event eight events he’s had five in the top 15 I believe or something like that so he’s been incredible on the live tour again if you don’t watch live golf you missed this opportunity to know that Richard Bland was going to come out here and compete well in these Majors because he’s competing well against like you said the best golfers in the world I mean if if you think about his last month he’s won two majors and he won a team championship in the last month I mean that’s pretty uh that’s pretty awesome today after his WN after his win he became the leading Money winner so far this season on the champions tour he’s the Charles Schwab Cup money leader today after he won $1.43 million total so far so it’s incredible yeah it’s and it’s such a shame that he’s getting the shaft from them because of him playing on live he does not get an automatic exemption into the senior open or the European Senior Open whatever you want to call it that’s up to the RNA to invite him it would be really stupid of them not to invite him I know last year they didn’t invite him um despite the fact that he was 50 years old and obviously playing decent golf and would have been a name and would have been somebody but there was that was a different time in golf a year ago was much different time in golf and now that the um the other groups the other groups like Augusta like the USGA they’ve reached out to live I think the RNA will do the right thing they just hired a new guy today uh I could see them inviting him will he play though because Liv has an event that weekend uh what What’s that weekend is that the United Kingdom weekend or is that that’s see that’s tough because that’s that’s home for him and I was thinking about this before like um is is it his decision or would it be like would he have to go to Greg for that and be like hey can I go play I mean I know you’re still competing for you know points for team for team championship and stuff like that I mean that’s a tough goal what what would you do if you were in that position for the great majority of them they’ve all to a man said and all of their representatives to a man or woman have said that if Liv scheduled an event on the same weekend as a major championship that they would have the opportunity to participate in that major championship didn’t specify senior versus regular level just major championship is what we’ve heard I think that he has to he has to go to Liv UK and represent because he’s going to be a superstar there he’s got are can’t wait to see him he’s a draw wow for for me I I don’t know I mean the the thought of going to win my third major in a row to prove to all these people that I’m I’m for real that I’m not I mean I think he already proved that what he did this he shoot 63 yesterday I mean proves to everyone that he’s that he’s the real deal I mean that would be a tough that’ be a tough thing you know maybe maybe he gets a nudge from Greg saying hey maybe you should go do this you I know you’re home but this is this is an opportunity you might never get you know you might not get it again this for you Blandy congratulations buddy this is for you cheers
