[Music] [Applause] one week season one we season fam La Familia welcome back it is Monday June 24th my name is Mike Johnson M Johnson 86 as I am known in those DFS and baseball streets welcome back we are excited to be with you uh we are pre-recording this uh I had some schedule conflicts myself uh on Monday but we are pre-recording this on Sunday night uh bring in my esteemed co-host Billy gaaban stat ATL Billy welcome how we doing today man I’ve gone from a co-host esteemed colleague to co-host here you go there you go yeah the the promotions keep coming you know they keep coming how’s it going with you my friend happy Sunday good good uh ton of rain here in Wisconsin this week uh this weekend so yeah there’s just water everywhere um had a couple tornadoes not near me but uh yeah l lot of inside time so I got a lot of drafts done um firing away at the $2 because it looks like that’s going to fill uh in the next 10 to 14 days on drafters um anybody joining us uh of course you can check out our stuff onewe season.com uh we have our bestwell plus 2024 package um lot of cool stuff going on there uh we have a couple shows a week you can find here on YouTube or Twitter uh and then all our private stuff uh uh premium content for our subscribers uh on our Discord on our website um lot going on there uh we’ve got more uh coming out too um so yeah check that out uh if you are new again uh we’re gon to be drafting on drafters today drafters.com if you have not played on drafters before highly recommend it in my opinion it’s the highest uh expected value best ball contests there are out there right now uh and we have a promo code if you use promo code ows on your first time deposit you get 100% match up to $100 so put $100 on you’d have 200 to play with uh and can kind of go nuts from there so um just gonna give that Spiel and with that I’m gonna Billy I’m gonna bring your screen up uh we’re going to draft one with Billy today uh what pick did we get here I’m sorry to say we’ve got the 12 which I think both of us share the same opinion that it’s the worst the worst spot to be or at least it feels like the worst yeah it’s yeah especially on on the three4 turn it’s not great yeah so we we we’ll make the best of it though um looks like we’re getting getting ready to get started there uh so Billy you yourself you have um already maxed the $2 contest correct yep I’m already maxed the $2 looks like I’m on my 63rd here for the uh for the $15 so uh kind of planning on outside of a couple of these that you know we’re going to do between now and the season together on the on the wak and snake um I’m I’m probably gonna hold off on drafting for a couple of weeks um kind of wait until probably August 1 or so um yeah well you got some big things coming up you’re moving so you know you got yeah I uh I actually close on Tuesday and then painters coming on Wednesday and then we got the moving truck coming yeah so it’s it’s a busy week so this uh you know and uh I do I do account management as a as a full-time job so uh end of the month end of a quarter for uh for for salespeople is not it’s tends to be a busy week too so yeah for sure well and you know not only that but uh there’s some strategic reasoning uh that bball plus subscribers uh who have listened to our training sessions uh would be aware of already uh regarding maybe taking a little break in that specific contest so uh I’ll be interested um for those anybody who’s not familiar uh drafters they have a $2 contest right now it’s $2 to enter the the lowest entry fee uh that you’re going to find in bestall right now um it’s going to be 56,000 people when it is all said and done it’s at 46,000 entries so far uh but for only $2 first prize is $20,000 uh second prize is $10,000 um and the top 10 make at least $1,000 so a pretty solid payout for such a small entry fee and obviously you get a good draft experience um you know drafters is cumulative scoring so you eliminate a lot of the luck aspects that are going on uh when you have you know those playoff weeks and you’re kind of just hoping things break right at the right time a little more little more truth in reconciliation at the end of the uh drafters uh the drafter contest where you know it’s the best teams that win you know yeah and uh you know drafters has got that promo going on of uh you know the I think it’s 100% deposit bonus up to a 100 bucks so you throw on 200 200 you throw on 200 bucks you get that that extra H and you could draft you could Max the contest for $200 get 150 teams yeah yeah in this $2 one and I’m curious because I do think it’ll fill um of course we’re drafting for their Flagship contest the $15 drafters million uh for this draft but for that $2 contest I am curious uh what drafters will do once the $2 fills uh will they fire up another one obviously I think if they did the exact same structure it would fill again um um but I don’t know I’m sure there’s a lot to consider because they want to fill this this big one that we’re drafted yeah so we’re on the we’re on the clock here um again I think that you and I have chatted uh kind of outside of the stream I I generally like to get a little bit different um here than just kind of taking two off the uh so I’m going to scroll a little bit I’m going to grab a San Francisco wide receiver here as well mix up my by weeks a little bit with a nine and a 12 and take some guys that I think some have some upside um and I think that this Drake London Brandon iuk pairing is I don’t want to say completely unique but probably pretty low owned at the just in general not even just at the turn but in general I think this is a pairing you’re not seeing a lot of yeah for sure um yeah I think there’s there’s definitely there’s going to be I 2023 was was you unique I guess I I don’t know if unique’s the right word but um that Aman ra St Brown CD lamb pairing was so common um at the one two turn picking at that spot um a lot of it had to do with UND Draft Kings and Underdog uh the Lions and Cowboys played in week 17 and everybody stresses that week 17 correlation so that you know on those sites they were even more commonly cor you know correlated um but then both of them put up you know top three seasons at their position uh and then just just the way that worked out it was such a common pairing um that kind of proved optimal but that’s that’s not always going to be the case uh to your point and I think we’ve talked about it a decent amount but I think there’s um you know kind of from from where you picked from London through about you know early to mid third round there’s like a big tier of wide receivers that are all very close you know I mean you look at uh you know you look at Jaylen Wadd uh Devonte Smith um who are both probably going to go here at the two three turn you know each of those guys is probably a Tyreek Hill or AJ Brown significant amount of time missed away from being you know a top five six typee guy so you know and it’s the NFL every year there’s like a Litany of things that happen that’s kind of crazy um so I did throw uh I did throw it out to our uh our premium subscribers our Discord uh just questions that they had people they wanted us to talk about this week and one of the things that came up uh Mike Evans just went off the board and somebody wanted to know just our our thoughts on the Tampa Bay wide receivers so um I guess I’ll let you start you have any any thoughts on that situation Evans Godwin Etc um yeah I mean for me uh I’ll cover all of Tampa just for just for fun um I’m I’m kind of avoiding both of their running backs in in drafts just because of how inefficient they were last year um again obviously Bucky uh Irving is a rookie so we don’t really know there um I feel like if I’m taking a shot I’m taking a shot there just because um he’s so much cheaper in terms of draft Capital you got to get there um at the wide receiver um I’m not taking any I don’t think I’ve taken Godwin once in a in a draft um he he’s just not my he’s just not my style I think around where he goes there are a few guys before before and after that I personally again we’re not going to get too player takey that I just think have so much higher upside um you know I do like Mike Evans um candidly I considered Mike Evans at 13 as part of this uh you know 1213 back-to-back pairing um he’s a guy that I think has top 10 wide receiver upside I don’t I don’t think that you have that potential with Chris Godwin I just that’s just not the type of routes he runs it’s not really targeted much in the Red Zone um he’s kind of more of a Deontay Johnson more of a floor than a cealing guy for me um and then the rookies um I I like taking shots on them at you know in the 190s and the 200s um you know McMillan yeah McMillan gotcha we’re kind of back up uh on the clock again here um if he falls I’m G to take Kiron Williams for sure if if not I’m probably going back to back wide receivers you know who one of them is going to be there it is uh so for me I think it a lot of times I’m I feel like I’m at a slight disadvantage um at the 12 spot um again nothing that you can really do there so for me I I try to uh make a sort of conscious effort to maximize buys um and gives give guys that I think have good High high-end potential um so London auk Amari Cooper Terry mclen all four different by weeks um I don’t know how important that is uh it’s just something that I I don’t mind kind of being a little different uh different that gota yeah you know I feel like you could take you could take leaport or Kelsey um at that turn um I don’t know I feel like I’m just as happy to grab a tight end in the 60s 61 range or the 8485 range or even later and not feel like I’m that taking that much of a bath um you know or that much of a decrease in the value yeah it’ll be a it it’ll be a the tight end position how that plays out at the top uh it’s kind of going to be one of those inflection points I’ve talked about where like um you know I don’t remember a year for a long time um I mean obviously we had Kelsey and before that gronowski for you know going way back um I don’t remember like where the first tight ends off the board were not going until like this late like the late third or early fourth round there’s always was a a first round pick last year wasn’t it yeah and so it’s just uh it’s such a a unique situation as far as you know what that means for the rest of it because um you know if kel Kelsey and leaport I guess if one of if one of them or if any of these next guys um after them leaport actually wow that’s pretty late uh for him uh but if you know Kade Andrews McBride any of those guys that are going in the late fourth to early 5ifth um basically if one of those guys separates that’s going to be like you that’s going to be the difference um for a lot of for Fantasy in a lot of different uh formats so yeah uh let’s see what other oh uh Malik neighbors uh where did he go in this one it’s kind of small for me did he go he went 15th overall not a not a spot I would ever personally consider him but that’s interesting I feel like I’ve seen him go in the fourth round you know drafts I did yesterday went early forth a couple times and we’ve talked about this uh on previous episodes where a guy turns his you know turns his ankle um and the coach is like well it’s June June 10th you know go sit out and then he get the red mark on his name uh on the on the app when people are drafting um and there isn’t like an injury report and it’s not in season so uh you know all of a sudden a guy drops around in drafts um and I think that probably happened uh there with him it’s happened we’ve seen it happen with Michael Pitman um you know and it’s kind of just like a just basically buy the dip right you know just like you know uh buy the dip every time because um when we’re in June into early July it’s like there’s so much time um I mean we still have over well over two months before uh real NFL football gets played um but yeah Neighbors at 15 that that’s pretty well that’s kind of uh you took IU looking for like a unique pair and maybe that’s what maybe that’s what Spencer was doing it’s only his seventh draft though so yeah but the issue the issue with that is um and I don’t want to get too deep in the Weeds on strategy but we’ll give the people a little Bas uh but as a guy like neighbors there’s not much value in doing that um if that’s the reason he did it was thinking like oh this will be somewhat unique uh because there’s a bunch of teams out there already that have been drafted with Neighbors in the third or the fourth Wilson that got Neighbors in the third or like we talked about when he fell to the early fourth so um at a big disadvantage especially in a contest like this where you’re competing against every single other uh every single other team you’re not just um in those other contests you’re just competing within your pod um and then it’s like random it’s like you you might not even see any of those teams that got you know that guy a round or two later yeah you know as you go through the playoffs so I feel like Drake London basically goes 10 11 12 13 14 15 like in this the back half of the draft every time and auk is basically going late second early third every basically I’ve always seen IU go like 16 to like 28 all right you got two here I’m gonna reach a little for ri rice and I’m gonna pair him with momes I like that I know that uh I know that some of the best ball plus subscribers uh have heard about stacking and and our thoughts on on it just in general um to me I didn’t I didn’t really mind this I think racy rice I think his ADP is somewhere around 64 um so you know grabbing him at the 6061 turn not really a reach and I don’t having a little a little later than that I think he’s like 68 69 but I still I like him a lot on this roster because those first four guys um and this is how many drafts I’ve been doing I know all their bu just like by heart my wife thinks it’s the funniest thing ever 12 12 n 104 for those first four Buys so you think about rice the reason he’s being drafted in the sixth uh or seventh round in most of these drafts is because everyone expects him to miss at least four to six games possibly eight to 10 um but when you think about this roster you’ve got uh four kind of stud type wide outs to start uh and then you add rice to it um and all those wide outs have we week nine or later Buys so um even if rice with a week six buy say he gets a six week suspension um he’s back by week eight uh and he’s um you know should be full you know full steam ahead uh when those other guys are are missing so kind of complement the rest of what you’re doing nicely so I think um you know taking him a little before his ADP there is fine and then obviously momes um the QB Silo and all that that the best ball plus subscribers know about um you know you’ve kind of you don’t have to put any red on the board for a while now yep yeah it’s interesting um you know I think we we were talking about uh we were talking about just kind of draft positions and so just totally totally random but um I I do play other I do play other sports of baseball um or even just like the playoff contest and stuff like that whereas I know you’re not a big hockey guy but Stanley Cup final game seven is tomorrow um and basically in the fantasy hockey like playoff baseball contest I know you’re not a big hockey guy but you live in a hockey country uh a hockey hockey City hockey state so like Conor McDavid first overall in every uh contest and then when you got back to like the 12 13 turn like basically Leon ddle was taken there to pair with him every time those two are like the top two point producers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs so like if you didn’t have the first overall pick like it was really impossible to basically make it this far um so you know and honestly the same thing kind of happened in like the the best ball for the playoffs for NFL last year like Christian mcaffrey was basically the nuts and like if you didn’t pick first like you just couldn’t win the contest yeah so it’s just it’s interesting like I don’t know that that’s going to be the case this year because there’s certainly there’s not even there’s not even a consensus first overall pick you know I’ve seen mcaffrey go plenty I’ve seen lamb go plenty I’ve even I’ve seen uh you know I’ve seen saquon Barkley go plenty if I’m in a draft with eagles with four Z’s did you yeah did uh did you play any drafters playoff baseball last year I did not okay because that’s also cumulative scoring ah okay super totally different Theory yeah like obviously you know you you I know you uh took first in one of the mittens I believe the original mitt um which you know was awesome um but obviously like there’s and you know we can do some of these hopefully uh heading into when when that time comes late in the season uh where’re playoff best balls coming around but it’s totally different in play totally different strategy when you’re not thinking about like advancing like it’s the whole cumulative thing so um that was actually I actually uh I was in pretty good position I almost certainly I think would have uh had like a top fiveish finish um if the Lions hadn’t blown that game because I had a I had a lineup that had uh three Chiefs and it had like all the lons because like leapa was going like in the last round he had that knee injury um yeah all right we got two here what are we doing uh I’m probably gonna double tap running back is what I’m thinking um for me I’m I’m kind of debating if I’m just going both at the top of the board um I think that’s probably where I’m gonna go I’m definitely taking David Montgomery I got a I got a sore a sweet spot for him I know he was on your Seventh Place roster last year so that’s a guy who’s uh near and dear to your heart um was too yeah okay well you know you’ve said that I’m GNA go there a lot I for me like I’m looking I looking at my exposures I know we you’ve talked about that in some of your training um Zach Moss is my highest exposure at any position so we can uh we can avoid him on this roster yeah um so the the on drafters so you can see your player exposures and then the other thing that I think is pretty cool is that you can see um I’m actually GNA we got time so I’m gonna I’m gonna remove yours I’m gonna share mine quick I’ll let you know when we when we’re coming back up on so I have mine up you guys can see it right so it’s pretty cool on the exposures so you could see um how many times you’ve drafted a player um how the amount of Entry fees this is for all NFL uh but then the other thing you can do is uh you can see your ADP the average draft position that you got the player at uh versus what their current average draft position is um so that’s kind of uh kind of a neat feature where you could kind of see your uh closing line value like we like to talk about and stuff um you know for guys you’re early on uh that sort of thing um just a just another I love the interface on drafters so um just wanted to share another another positive uh thing about that um I mean there’s so many things that you can do with it you know if you really want to get into the weeds and they they do provide a good amount of detail so yeah um so we talked about neighbors before and how he was moving around do you have any specific thoughts on him as a player or do you just kind of you’ll take him if he’s if he falls a little bit past 8 and it it’s a unique combo sort of deal yeah you know I I think that he’s um he’s a guy that I don’t want to say field is probably like right around eight percent or nine% like basically you know yeah 8.3.3 like I’m I’ll probably be close to that maybe a little under like I’m gonna have some exposure to him um just because I’m not afraid to take him um again I don’t want to be too player takey but I’m NE I’m never taking him at 15 um I think that you’re completely drafted at that point like he has no upside like that that is that is him having his Top End season you know that’s a puka AA season from last year where you’re taking him at 15th overall yeah happy happy to grab him in the third or fourth round that’s totally fine I just I won’t be taking him at the the front half of the second round what about what about yourself you find yourself taking him a good bit or where do you stand on it yeah I mean uh best ball plus subscribers I talked a little bit about uh some of my process as far as um my early round selections and how I focus a little bit more on like combinations of players that I have uh than specific uh individual players um so I mean I’ll I’ll definitely have him um he’s not like a priority like I think he’s gonna smash but I also think he’s probably talented enough and has little enough has a low enough amount of of competition that it’s going to be hard for him not to have um a pretty good season so you know I’m I’m optimistic on him I think I probably like him more so I don’t really do much on Underdog except for uh like the snapshot contest I’ll throw a bunch of slow drafts in but I am maxing out uh the DraftKings contest and on there I like him a lot more because I you know rookie wide receiver good chance he kind of takes off at the end of the year yeah so on the clock here um good on good on QB for sure tight end for me knowing I wantan to I want to grab at this at this spot so probably leaning one wide receiver one running back um for me I’m probably gonna I’m gonna probably go Jerome forward here um just again spacing out my buys a little on running backs for my first first couple um we’re going to see if there’s anyone else at running back I I really like here probably not probably go grab another wide receiver um considering uh I’ll I’ll go top of the board again I’ll take Brandon Cooks um I feel like I’ve got a strong enough uh top end of the board where I can I can kind of play for a little bit more Brandon Cook’s Spike weeks he’s he’s kind of more of a more of like a weekly winners type play personally but he he’ll have some he’ll have some usable weeks I have some he’ll have some good scores just a lot of them will be Duds but that’s okay he’s not my wide receiver one he’s my wide receiver six um yeah definitely and then we have so we have uh we had another question about if he hasn’t gone he’s about to go Blake Corum um the Rams running back situation uh you mentioned you were considering uh Kiren Williams at the 34 turn Corum about to go here pretty much always goes in about the 10th round 10 11th y agreed so you know I guess do you what are how are you approaching those guys you know do you have any thoughts on that back field how you think it shakes out um I have my thoughts I’ll let you go first and then I’ll share mine yeah I mean I think it’s I think it’s going to be hard for him to have more than let’s say like a 30 or 35 65 type split just because of how efficient unless there’s an injury from Kiren Williams which he was injured for half the season last year um if he doesn’t get injured he was just so efficient was a good good at pass protection like I just I find it hard hard um that he’s gonna overtake Kiren Williams I I think I think he’s at best he’s a change of pace unless there’s an injury um I I don’t think that that’s the case in some of the other back fields that we’ve talked about on on the Tuesday trainings that you’ve done where it’s probably much more of a split Back Field like to me this this is kyon’s job to lose but then again like you kind of thought that last year with Cam ACR and you know you kind of needed Kiren Williams to be a top 50 top 100 team last year I mean he wasn’t the only guy you needed but um I know you talked about some of the guys you kind of had to have to be a top 0.1% roster last year yeah and I think you’re you know generally my assessment of it’s about the same I think I think Kyon I don’t I think he probably won’t see quite the same like excessive workload especially for like the first twoth thirds of the season I think that they’ll try to be somewhat smart with him but I also think that like they’re going to lean on the guy they trust um and he’s gonna be like the man where korum’s gonna be like a you know maybe a 20% type guy uh you know like an 8020 type situation mcvey’s always liked using a feature back um I think where Korum gets interesting is if if Williams ever misses time right you know if Will I think Williams missed six games in the middle of last year with that uh high ankle sprain he’s had like ankle issues um you know the past like three or four years um kind of off and on so if he misses that kind of time again I mean during that stretch you got to think Corum like he has the pedigree um he could handle a big workload um I mean he’s very talented so you got to think he’s like a top 10 type back uh for whenever Kyon Williams is out because Corum then doesn’t have to deal with Blake Corum like he doesn’t have like a second capable guy uh maybe you know siphoning off a few touches here and there so um you know that Rams backfield obviously uh just wildly valuable I don’t disagree all right we we are on the we’re on the clock again we’ve got uh quarterback three wider three running back six wide receivers uh I think for sure I want to take at least one running back here um not going to consider quarterback just yet uh five 12 10 I think I’m gonna reach here and grab Rico Dow I like his upside I do again I know it’s not that big of a deal I do like skipping the by weeks if I’m only going to take five or six running backs let’s take a look at the wide receivers uh um yeah I might go Jos Downs here um I’m willing I’m willing to wait a little bit on tight end I’m gonna grab Josh Downs here all right there you go so coming out one4 7 Zer so far gotcha so and you got dowle and Cooks you got a couple couple Cowboys on the roster there um yeah we kind of skipped over where did Brock Bowers go on here um BR went really early he’s a guy that I personally have have taken some shares for maybe it’s just my ug bias um but I’m I’m never taking him in the seventh round that to me that’s kind of too early to grab him there um I think there’s a legit possibility for for Spencer over here that Bowers would have been available at 106 two rounds later yeah he’s his current ADP is 97 so um definit itely got to think uh that next he took him at what pick was that 82 82 so I mean for sure would have been there at 87 87 for sure yeah so you know I I personally I guess um you know the question was more about just like what what our thoughts on him are um you know I think he he’s obviously like a really hyped uh High pedigree tight end Prospect I think some of the concerns are he went somewhere where they just drafted Michael Mayer in the second round last year they have Devonte Adams and jacobe Meyers and um you know it’s kind of similar to like when Kyle pittz came out and he went to the Falcons with Arthur Smith um and they’re so run heavy that he you know his rookie year he actually put up a thousand yards but it just was like I think he played like every game um and he just he never had those everybody was expecting this like flashy top five pick to uh you know kind of blow the doors off and have some huge games and it never really never really happened I lost a lot of DFS money that year I still remember week one I he was like 4200 or $4,400 on DraftKings and I just like I just shoved him in every lineup um so yeah I mean I think it it’s he’s a guy that you kind of just have to take some blind shots on though because um you know he has that talent and that pedigree where you know it wouldn’t it wouldn’t take that much uh for you know I mean Devonte Adams is obviously really good but he’s like 31 32 now um and he you know if he misses any time you know jacobe Myers and Michael Mayer aren’t like Alphas like he could be um you he he could be a a big part of the you know what what we see at the tight end position kind of what we were talking about before he could jump into that top group um when when we’re talking about the tight end position next year so um definitely a guy that sometimes it’s hard to pull the trigger on but um because we have our kind of our biases and what what on paper it looks like very clear uh clearly is the case but I think sometimes um those High pedigree super talented players you just gota you just got to take a few shots on uh just you know because it’s the NFL you know yeah nothing you’re never going to have a season where everything just kind of goes out as as it should or as you know projected so about to get two more here the guy I wanted just went off the board that’s okay if I do that am I doing with them I’m going to double tap tight end all right hackinson yeah I mean hackinson kind of best on the board at that point likely Gonna Miss probably through his week six by um is kind of what they’re projecting so definitely need uh probably at least three tight ends on this roster um just kind of thinking the next couple of rounds I know we’re in the 14th so I’ve got six picks left to go yeah so think through even in the fast dra I was just saying even in the fast drafts obviously the slow is you see I got a bunch of them going but um even in the fast drafts I try to kind of think ahead of okay where where do I need to go who might be available down here in the 180s you know do I need to take a quarterback here certainly when you’re you know in the 1112 or the one two when you’re kind of on the ends where you’ve got 20 picks between your your guys you really got to be strategic you gotta be thinking about you know when you’re in the middle you know the six S range you’re picking every 10 12 picks so you know lot out hand between your picks yeah but when you’re yeah when you’re within the first second or third on either end you know once you make that second pick and then you know you’re waiting 16 to 22 picks before you pick again um if you decide to wait on a position yeah there could be like 10 of them gone yeah you’re you’re rolling the dice you’re hoping you’re staring at that guy oh you got two kubes already don’t you dare take that third basically yeah yeah that’s that’s certainly how I find myself doing it you know what I just what I just realized even though I’m whatever 200 drafts in uh there’s a chat feature you know you could uh you know you could it’s funny I I they never used to have that um or at least I don’t think they did and then this year there’s been a couple where I saw like people like cussing other people you [ __ ] I’m just laughing because I never even knew it was there so I’m just thinking to myself like no one sees it like you’re just yelling yeah you’re yelling at a cloud bud I honestly I’m glad that more people don’t know it because I feel like it’s it’s it’s probably a feature that they probably should do away with in my opinion so um one I was the yeah I get the taking the two tight ends I don’t have any qualms with that uh one guy I was gonna suggest when you were clicking around when you were when you were on the clock though uh Tyler Alger um was going to throw him your way I kind of like him so I was thinking about it today because I was in a draft and I did this and I actually did it uh I got I had London and pits um and I took aler and my thought process there is for London and Pitts if they if they hit like their ceiling outcomes if they if they have if either of them individually or both have like a really good season um it’s probably because bejan has gotten hurt well right because either the Falcons offense is just like dominant or Bean misses time because he’s going to have like a you got to expect him to have like a 18% Target share um and where alir is he’s not the same pass catcher he’s not going to be involved in that way um so that’s where I think if bejan were to miss time that that’s one of the scenarios where uh you end up with London having like a 30% Target share and Pitts with like a 22 to 24% where they’re like kind of dominant at their positions um so yeah that’s just wanted to throw that out there you know it’s interesting I don’t want to I know we don’t want to talk too much strategy on this I think the common thought um would be on a roster like that if you had pits and you had London um that you’d want to potentially take um sorry you’d want to take cousins on that roster just thinking wait on quarterback and take cousins on that roster um and while while that makes sense I don’t know that I agree with it and we’ll talk through that in just a second um am I gonna take JK Toms no gonna grab here and take Roshan Johnson and then I do think I probably want to grab a QB at this point I could wait for Carr and hope that he’s back he’s gotta weave 12 by I’ve got Kamar already yeah I’m gonna grab Derek Carr here okay um yeah um yeah okay so back to my thought on the Falcons um I so you know I think that if you’re you know if you’re if you’re thinking that situation you probably are like well I probably need to take Kurt Cousins he’s he’s a late quarterback he’s probably going to have at least a decent year um but I think where Kurt Cousins generally goes kind of in this 13th 14th round um best ball plus subscribers will kind of know who the type of guys that you want to be pairing him with and rounds and things like that um but to me I think I you look at the the the player type that Kurt Cousins is as you know more of like a pocket QB and even if those guys are having good Seasons I mean you take a look at it last year and um amanra St Brown and leap pora both had excellent seasons for the Lions last year but Jared goth still was just like a very mediocre middle of the- pack scoring quarterback like I I don’t have I probably shouldn’t have the actual stats that I’m quoting here so maybe maybe you on a different screen can tell me how where he finished last year in terms of uh fantasy scoring Mike uh fantasy yeah is this did I talk about this on a training session or were I don’t remember I I talked about this at some point you sort of skirted you well so I think that where you went with with with this on this type of situation was more of like if you if you think that they’re gonna smash like you should wait on a guy like Kurt Cousins and not take like an elite quarterback saying I don’t even know that you need Kurt Cousins if you even if you have those guys like Kurt Cousins isn’t putting up a obviously you know you can’t really mixing match or to predict when he’s gonna have his good weeks compared to your other quarterback and you know how you’re gonna accumulate scoring there e but even if he has even if his wide receivers do really well still doesn’t mean that he’s putting up a monster season right right I mean yeah and of course a lot of this to is dra very drafter specific um and it’s stuff that we’ve kind of I’ve do dove into a lot in my training sessions my storyboards Etc um but yeah there’s not like a you know drafters it doesn’t have the 300 yard passing monus which is a big deal for a guy like cousins um so many of his stats in the past you know DraftKings if you play DFS uh his big weeks were were boosted by that extra three points that’s almost like getting an extra touchdown um so yeah I think UND drafter specifically for a guy who he wasn’t much of a runner before and now he’s coming off at toron Achilles and he you know you’re you’re on a site here where you don’t get that bonus um yeah I don’t think it’s like a uh something you need to force or have that be like dictating how you draft um you know if you if it works out if you know he falls in um if he falls in the draft and you’re you’re getting good value on him I think it’s fine but I don’t think it’s like a on drafters it’s it’s not something that you have to like be anxious about or all pissed off if somebody snabs him yeah so I think we talked about with hackinson um having likely to miss let’s say six six weeks or more um I think we definitely need a third tight end there’s really only two or three that I’m kind of even remotely excited about so I think I’m I’m gonna grab gani Woods because I’ve got a soft spot for him um H don’t know uh oh well we took Luke mcaffrey yeah it’ll all right got I got two Washington commanding wide receivers on this uh on this team I was going to grab GNA grab a running back probably yeah is that was that 18 and you got two picks left still so you’re good I got two picks couple more or the one the one other situation somebody asked about was uh Bears Stacks I guess I think we talked about that uh the first week or two but he kind of touch base on it again um Caleb Williams um UND drafters at least well most quarterbacks uh adps have been kind of dropping um but then they’ve got obviously DJ Moore going at the 23 turn Keenan Allen going at the 4 five turn romad dun going at like the 67 turn or earlier uh yeah I mean you have any thoughts on Bears decks and then they’ve got you know their back fields interesting too um yeah I mean it it’s it’s hard for me like I feel like um I’ve taken some uh I’m probably under the field on Bears wide receivers um just because I feel like they they get drafted High um so you’re you know I don’t know you know there’s three mouths to feed plus it’s not like Cole Ked is going away it’s not like they don’t have pass catching running backs and you know it’s a rookie it’s a rookie quarterback and it’s not like they’ve been a prolific offense obviously they we’re working with Justin Fields before and this is you know a fresh start and a new quarterback and it I don’t know I I think for me I’m I’m taking more like uh the Bears running backs in later rounds that to me that’s where I’ve been probably have my highest Chicago exposure what about what about yourself where where does that land for you yeah kind of the same um and I think that you know you talked about the running backs at the end I think that the running backs where they’re going going with Swift going in the seventh or eighth round ran Johnson going in the like 15th 16th 17th round uh depending on on the draft um they’re actually I’m just pulling it up right now uh on my site those two Johnson and Swift are my highest owned running backs right now um so I I’m pretty high on the Bears offense and you just see it like with with running backs volume and you know the success of the offense are kind of the two things that that kind of Drive uh drive the bus for um how how they perform so yeah for I think Swift and Johnson I’ve talked about it on our best ball plus stuff more in depth but I think those are kind of the two guys uh to in different roles but um you know and it if the market is as confident as they seem to be based on where the wide receivers are being drafted um based on what the market is saying about them it should be a pretty potent offense and if that’s the case that back Field’s going to have some scoring so uh definitely definitely loving Bears Stacks uh on DraftKings I’ve got a lot of like um Williams with swift plus uh one of the receivers type thing type of deal yeah um all right on the clock here for two um I kind of feel okay with my wide receiver room with eight just because I went first second third fourth P fifth picks of five straight wide receivers um I want to grab another running back um I think I’m gonna go Evan Hall here um which would give me three different three different Indie pieces between Hall Josh DS and gelani woods um I’m I’m considering another quarterback I’m actually even considering Jill flacko and just saying what if Anthony Richardson gets hurt which we saw him miss a lot of the season last year I do have three different players now from Indie so I may I may go that route versus uh JJ or uh Justin Fields I think Justin Fields would have been an interesting play on this as well um but I don’t mind going flacko here and just see you know I think it’s better than a 5050 chance based on what we saw last year with Anthony Richardson that he does Miss sometime um and so I think there’s say no he does not and I think on a roster like this where you have where you where you’re making bets on other Indie pieces where obviously like Evan Hall is pretty much a long shot of uh you know to really even see too much time but um you know it’s kind of H what do you win when you win as we say one week season when you’re when you’re right what you know what what’s the upside so um you know I don’t know that I would take Joe flacko on a roster that didn’t have any other Indie uh pieces but I think on on a roster where I’m already betting on galani woods and Josh DS I think it I think it makes sense yeah yeah so somebody asked uh is there currently any like undrafted or like guys that go on the last round or you know often go undrafted that you uh find yourself targeting I think Joe Flaco would fit on that list uh is there anyone else that you know that sticks out to you that well I know I know one that you should say I can’t wait to hear who I should say well that I’m expecting you to say okay give me give me which position wide receiver plays in Texas oh well yeah I mean I I’m we I think we talked about it last last stream actually like if you’re if you’re betting on one of if you if you’re taking Stroud or especially if you’re taking one of the three early wide receivers to be grabbing Noah Brown because where how do they kind of hit their cealing outcome it’s likely because one of either Nico Collins or Diggs or Dell gets hurt and misses sometimes so yeah I like Noah Brown um I I think maybe this one is a little thinner but for me I’ve taken some shots on rosters where I have uh Jordan love um I’m taking some shots on Bo Melton in the 20th oh here we go here we go um you know I think that’s borderline that’s a little thin with him being realistically the wide receiver five um on a team that’s going to utilize Musgrave that will use Tucker craft if he’s not not that injured you know they will throw to the running back so he’s probably realistically the sixth or seventh or eighth option but to me he’s a guy that is undrafted at least half the drafts I’m in if not 75% of the drafts um that I think is worth taking a shot on um I think for a while um I was seeing um and I think he went the 18th or 19th round in this draft I was seeing Cody Parkinson not get drafted at tight end um likely to be the starting tight end uh for a team that has historically had some spike weeks out of tight end for the Rams he was a guy that I was we’ll say a little early on in taking the 19th and 20th round as a third or fourth tight end um I don’t know another guy I think I don’t know how much upside he has in terms of like Spike weeks um I find myself taking um taking knocks uh Buffalo’s tight end occasionally on on a draft where I need potentially a fourth tight end and obviously tight end gets pretty thin um we’ve talked about Buffalo’s offense a little bit and how they may Str how they lost their top two wide receivers like I I don’t know they may end up running more two tight end sets and you know Knox might be more involved than he he has been in the past um I I think there were worse 20th round picks than that you could make yeah yeah I I can get on board with those so I’ve got I’ve got a couple here um one is Greg doic tight end for the Broncos um I talked about him uh in the my training session where I focused a little more on tight ends um I think I talked about him briefly or have been in Discord after when I was talking about like some other guys at the end of drafts but um you know I think that Bronco’s receiver room there’s kind of just a lot of guys but like s even you know Sutton been you know he’s been expected to take this leap for the last like three or four years and it’s never really happened I think he’s a fine guy but then you’ve got like Mims who disappointed last year Troy Franklin who fell in the draft um but I think doic he’s uh you know he had a run a couple years ago where he was pretty good for a few weeks um when he came back last year he basically missed the whole season with injury um so just uh you know him as a a tight end you know who I think he actually if you didn’t go Flaco um he was going to be a guy I thought you could have taken as a fourth tight end on this roster just with how it shook out yep I considered it so I also think uh looking I I think looking back and I don’t want to interrupt your uh your your thoughts on other late guys I I think looking back I think at the whatever it was 17 18 turn I don’t know like scroll um yeah I think I think taking galani Woods probably a mistake I think I probably should have taken chig okono um just honestly just for the by weeks just because of of Hawkins ‘s like sort of un unknown status where like if his foot is a little bit more serious than you think maybe we get away with this because they’re both week 14 but I you know I I I think at at quarterback and tight end uh positions where you’re generally taking two or three of the guys personally I try to avoid um taking guys with the same bye um just in in the thinner positions like that where like because you really just you can’t afford if you if you’re going to be a top 10 roster which is where all the money is in all these contests you can’t afford a zero at any position any week because you know even those 20 points or 15 points or 10 points like as you’ve seen and you’ve gone through in your training sessions like you know that’s 10 points was the difference or four points or something like that was the difference of moving you up from Seventh to sixth and a $10,000 jump not not trying to rub it in but you can’t take a zero so I I think to me that was a mistake um probably probably should have avoided the same the same bye on a thin position like that or taking a fourth tight end instead of Joe Flack yeah um yeah yeah concur uh my other uh late couple late guys uh that we haven’t talked about uh one probably pretty off the board name uh Johnny Wilson uh rookie wide receiving Philly yeah um so he we five by what’s that week five by yeah so he is a uh 66 240 Prospect um he played at Florida State uh and he was um you know he he runs a 4540 37 in vertical like he’s for a guy his size that’s pretty uh impressive he’s almost like a tight end out there like his size sizewise um he moves pretty well for his size though but he was a sixth round pick in the draft um but you look at they’ve kind of had that that void um you they had kez Watkins they had Julio Jones um but they nobody’s really like taken that third wide receiver spot from them uh and it’s basically been uh AJ Brown and Devonte Smith with some Dallas scard has been their p in game um but I think he is I think he’s a guy he has the physical tools and he’s in like a really strong offense um I also saw I was sorry I’m not crediting whoever it was uh but there was a uh there was a tweet basically he was because he played with Keon Coleman for the bills um and when they’re we’re good um when they’re he played with Keon Coleman and when they are the uh when they were on the field together he outproduced Coleman is where I was going with that sorry but so you know Coleman’s going in like the seventh round or sixth round of draft Yeah and obviously I think he’s gonna be he the plan is for him to be a bigger part of their offense but just it you know when you’re think looking at guys in the 20th round here um thinking about that upside I know you mentioned Melton um I like that call as well um yeah I think I think I’ll leave it at oh the one other one I wanted to say was my sanders uh running back for the Panthers um I think there’s basically two scenarios that play out they obviously they drafted Jonathan Brooks uh who uh in the second round first running back off the board uh coming off a Toren ACL they have chuba hubard who kind of supplanted Sanders last year but Sanders is he’s pretty much always been a pretty good back and I’m not willing to write off previously talented players who fail in Carolina uh based on um just the franchises history uh so just looking at like a 20th round pick and somebody who six to eight weeks from now his situation could drastically change uh one of two things going to happen either Brooks is slow coming back and then Sanders is going to have a bigger role Than People expect um or I think if Brooks comes back and is cleared for training camp I think once that happens there’s a good chance that Sanders gets um either cut or or traded for like a sixth or seventh round pick sort of deal um and when you consider those scenarios you know does he end up does he end up in Dallas does he end up in Tampa Bay does he end up um I don’t know he could end up anywhere somebody could go down in training camp uh and then he gets traded there um you know I think of few years back when CJ Anderson ended up on the Rams um and had that run at the end of the season uh after it was actually the Panthers that let him go uh so yeah I think Broncos or what was it Rams or Broncos it was he was on the Broncos that was where he started then he signed with the Panthers but then they drafted mcaffrey ah okay yeah and then they cut it was cuz that was like the thing it’s it’s another thinking back to like past years it was like mcaffrey there was like a big duel on Twitter about you know if mcaffrey could supplant CJ Anderson which is like hilarious now in HS but yeah he basically ended up getting like cut midseason uh because they were like rolling with mcaffrey and then um signed with the Rams believe like Gurley got hurt that year I think it was the year that uh they lost in the Super Bowl to uh to the Patriots Yeah they lost like it was like 106 it was that really ugly game um but Anderson was like their running back I believe in on that run okay and if I’m wrong on all of that you guys can just light me up
