[Music] [Applause] hello and welcome back to the divid 67 Celtic News YouTube channel today um updating on the Adam ea uh to Celtic transfer story and also some concrete definite information on Marco Tio’s future at Celtic now um as things ended yesterday evening Celtic had made a bid of4 million pounds plus add-ons for Adam Ida to norich norch had H rejected the offer and apparently had not set an actual asking price and said that they were very keen to keep hold of either K May until the new coach has made his full assessment of the scad at Norwich however it would appear that Adam Ida um has been in negotiations with Norwich himself and has made it very clear that he is desperate to leave Norwich and join celon to further his career and it would appear that Norwich have relented and stories were breaking late um Wednesday evening and the start of Thursday morning that norch had um allowed Adam edah to travel up to Glasgow to start negotiations regarding his contract and other details coming to Celtic with View to a medical and signing his contract still no confirmation that things have progressed to contract negotiations and Medicals and signing a contract um what I also thought might be fun would be just to pop in a we video of the nine Celtic goals he scored for Celtic um in his loan deal for the second part of 23 24 season so Adam Ida had 19 games for Celtic in that period 19 goals two assists uh scored some vital goals along the way and also obviously scored the winning goal in the Cup Final that secured us the double um a couple of months ago so enjoy those highlights and then we’ll crack on just with a few other we details regarding the Adam EA perspective deal [Music] oh [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] w [Applause] [Applause] [Music] so hopefully he enjoyed all those good memories of add ‘s nine goals at Celtic obviously some key goals against hibs in that 2-1 win with two penalties his two goals in the second half of all the comeback against motherwell uh the goal that put us 3-2 up against Rangers um and obviously probably his most important goal the winner in the Cup Final in May following in Pao Bernardo shot which was half saved by butland and Adam was the first to react and um happily put away the rebound so um no full confirmation from Brendon Rogers regarding the Adam EA deal however um um Liam scales in a press conference was full of praise for Ida who apparently is one of his best friends from the Ireland Squad um very keen for edah to come back to Celtic and was also uh saying that having both kyogo and Ida in the squad was a massive benefit to Celtic in that they were both natural goal scorers but played in different ways so just waiting for full confirmation that Adam EA and his agent are up in Glasgow for contract negotiations and it would be hoped over the next day or two that Celtic can get this deal over the line and get the first of their proper signings made and hopefully a new top quality goalkeeper will follow as I can’t really see any Prospect of us successfully having a season especially in Europe if our number one goalkeeper is Scott Bane backed up by um one of our talented youngsters such as Jos Clark who did have an excellent half a season at air on loan that is massively inexperienced for uh taking over as a number two at a football club as um it is fully expected that se will be on his way out of the club and I expect that will follow through H when Celtic do sign a new number one goalkeeper one definite confirmed departure from Celtic is martillo uh we signed him for1 1.5 million pounds last summer unfortunately during an Australian International compet ition during the summer he got injured and so missed the first three months of the Season he did have two brief substitute appearances for Celtic one minute against motherwell and 20 plus minutes against hibs and looking at the stats for that game obious 20 plus minutes as a sub against Hibbs he actually did have a pretty decent match he was given 6.8 out of 10 for his match rating he did have one shot on goal and did create one um major chance for a teammate the chance wasn’t taken and actually did have very good ratings for his passing um and accuracy in that game as well however Brendan Rogers did not seem to really have a place in his squad for markello then he was off uh on Australian International duty at the start of 2024 um then was sent on loan for the remainder of the season to Melbourne city in in the a league in Australia he actually had a couple of very good games for Melbourne City including a man of the match performance and an absolutely miraculous goal for which there’s a we short on the channel of that goal then as has been Marco Tio’s last 12 18 months he got himself injured yet again he was out for several weeks back for one game injured again and has only just got back into proper match Fitness now he has been confirmed as going back on loan to Melbourne City for the duration of the 2425 a League season in a Australia the a League season and Australia runs from October through to May and so it would appear that Marco tillia won’t be playing for Celtic under any um guys in the 2425 season in Scotland or in Europe however in his interviews marcoo remains very positive saying he hopes that this um season long Loan in Australia gets him back to full match Fitness gets him back to playing on a regular basis having had such a long spell out through injury and then is talking about resurrecting his career in Europe after the end of the Australian 2425 season he was signed on a five-year contract and so at 2122 he still does have many many years of footballing career ahead of him um I personally was very very impressed with all his highlight reels he is a fool International with seven caps for Australia part of their Olympic Squad um was voted the best player in the Australian league for the season before he came to Celtic I for one I think he had is a player with Incredible Pace probably the fastest player in Celtic Squad even faster than daen mid and some incredible ball control and dribbling skills plus the ability to play through the middle and is actually a very good finisher on his life fo both from close range and from longer range so really hope that this season long loan works out for Marco Tio back at Melbourne City and that then Bron Rogers might welcome him back into the Celtics Squad uh um as I think in the long term he could be a very good Celtic player um but obviously this very major injury proness is a factor he’s going to have to overcome and hopefully um spell not playing football working with physios and sports signs might get back to full fitness for the start of the Australian season and then he’ll have um six 7 months of playing hopefully in Australia to get him fully ready to come back to Celtic for the 25 26 Season so that finishes things off for today no real other um news stories in and around the Celtics Squad Celtic were back in their first proper F training session today and all the players are back apart from the four who had been representing Scotland at the Euros plus the two happy who have been playing at the cop of America and so all the players including Matt O’Reilly were there for a full training session in preparation for tomorrow’s friendly against air United quite interesting to see who plays and who doesn’t play against air who gets starting spots H who comes on a sub and also to see whether young players like Josh Clark Mitchell frame bosen Le EX Etc get a go in the side and also to see whether some of the Fringe players such as lagab beela Home Quan iata Etc get to go as well to claim a first team saded place so that finishes things off for today um hoping tomorrow we’ll have full confirmation of the good news of Adams Ida signing for Celtic at this point it is a very strong very widely supported story that
