welcome to the front nine of the match between Joel Damon his buddy CJ and our founder Jimmy and Gavin Cohen the format is a best ball match play if the best Ball’s tie the tie break goes to the second ball the stakes are $500 for the front nine 500 for the back 1,000 overall players can press for half starting out on whole one here at Paradise Valley Country Club a pretty straightaway part four Gavin Cohen hits a good one just up the left beyond the trees Jimmy follows that up in a similar spot no harm there CJ steps up leaves one about 70 yards to the green Joel Damon on the T fires one right down the pike CJ unfortunately found himself on a little route here has to uh play a little bump and run up there but plays it very well just short of the green Joel with a flip wedge gives himself about a 10-ft putt Jimmy Cuts one under the big eucalyptus tree here finds himself on the Dance Floor Gavin with the longest drive leaves himself about a 10- foot putt CJ from just off the green figuring out the speed of these greens leaves himself a little short here’s Joel for birdie putt tugs at just a hair misses on the low side leaves himself about a 4 foot comebacker CJ forar gets it to go Joel with a similar putt just misses and Jimmy for the hole takes it with birdie onto the second hole here a little dog leg left CLE it Jimmy takes it just over the bunkers with a fine Drive oh yeah Gavin absolutely crushes one’s going to leave himself about 70 yards into the green CJ here nice and cozy up the right side and Joel The Tour player obviously a great Drive Jimmy here just over a 100 yards he’s on the Dance Floor oh yeah CJ from the right side of the Fairway hits a nice shot onto the green Joel center cut about 100 yards in look at that action that’s real smooth he’s looking at it he likes it and a fine shot Gavin about 40 yards past everyone else good is that and gives himself a great look as well Jimmy about a 20 foot putt here for birdie just misses the edge of the cup gives himself a bit of an En knocker coming back CJ with the putt does it have enough no just misses low side joler is birdie he’s giving them runs but just missed it Gavin to secure the birdie Cozy’s that in there now that’s a clutch putt Jimmy and Gavin two up going to the third hole number three about 190 yard par three should kick left and Gavin finds himself with about a 12T putt for B I think it’s play probably mid 80 Jimmy with a little draw specialist simmer in the hole so good dude right over the pin a fine shot I feel a lot of pressure to play well on part threes now CJ how bad is that well leaves himself in the right bunker Mr Damon blow the hole and he’s safely aboard that golf right there perfect CJ from the right side bunker ah delete that one bud Jimmy with about a 12 15 foot putt for birdie tracking towards the hole just leaks out a little right clean up the par Joel gives his birdie putter run misses on the low side he’ll take his par as well Gavin for birdie to win the hole and just misses outside left as well that’s going to be a half Jimmy and Gavin still two up going into the fourth hole a par five with a bunker right down the middle Jimmy looks like he put all of his muscle into that one unfortunately finds the Fairway bunker very well placed bunker there CJ from the te all right gives that one a smack just up the right side as well that’s safe there Joel on the T cameraman’s finger in the way a great drive up the left side Jimmy from the Fairway bunker is going to have to lay up from there leaves himself a good shot for three CJ on the right side of the Fairway hitting a long iron lands it in a collection area just short of the green Gavin Cohen from the same side of the Fairway he’s watching it he likes it and he’s on board the Dance Floor Joel for his second tracking towards the hole he’s got an eagle putt Jimmy’s thirdd shot not exactly what he wanted but he’s got a putt CJ from just off the green for Eagle tracking towards the hole but doesn’t give it enough juice Gavin from about 12 ft for his Eagle but does not have enough he’ll take his bird Joel from about 9 ft for his Eagle just misses left he’ll take his bird as well now Jimmy for his birdie needs this to go in order to have the hole and he can’t believe it just throwing and CJ cleans up his bird to take the hole Joel and CJ only down one now on to Hole five a long par three about 210 yards from here CJ hits a good one tracking for the green the little I’ll tell you that like and he gets a nice kick to the left Joel there’s a little puff up there yeah it’s right on the roof I think it’s perfect he’s just short after the pin I got that was Pro that was just laying up to 40 ft cuz it’s long and scary prepping put to the corners Gavin for his t- shot land safely on the right side of the green he’s got a punt for birdie and Jimmy one hands it he hates it he’s going to find himself in the left bunker not his best shot the door is now open for CJ and Joel Jimmy with a long bunker shot in the greenside bunker gets it out of there but doesn’t give it enough comes about 25 ft short Joel with a 30 foot putt or so for birdie he’s got the speed misses left he’s got about 5 feet for his par similar putt to Joel but leaves himself a cozy par Gavin for birdie tracking towards Wards the hole just misses right he’ll take his par as well Jimmy now with a long par put I think he’s going to need it to have the hole oh that’s about as close as you can get without going in he’s got about four feet for his bogey Joel now for par and he lips out giving Jimmy some life here on his bogey putt Jimmy’s going to take the free gift there and they are going to have the hole CJ on the T at the sixth Joel hits a good one on a similar line to CJ and he clears the bunker oh Gavin pumps one up the left side see if that stays in Jimmy’s drawing hopefully he doesn’t overdraw uh-oh there’s some trouble over there oh really soft kick kick right Jimmy and Gavin searching for their balls up the left no signs ball searching never good uh instead of going back to the te I think they’re just going to have to concede the hole right it was right at that little tree Gavin and I hit both our balls OB unfortunately on ho six we have to hand him the hole hole number seven a dog leg right can’t really see the Green from here CJ plays one up the right side it’s going to we’re going to have to see this could be in the bushes or I don’t know if it had enough to get through Joel’s turn now he hit a good one a little longer on the same line but that’s going to be perfect Gavin hits a good one cutting from the left side to the center of the Fairway I think it’s got enough to get through get to a clearing and Jimmy hits a great drive here as well he’ll have a look at the green CJ looks to be in a bush here he’s going to have some trouble from there he’s going to have to take his medicine punch out oh no don’t down onto the cart path dribbling dribbling dribbling oh look at that kick on the grass lucky man hit OB now it’s on Jimmy’s got a nice little flip wedge just a little more than he wanted I think now Joel for his second flights one down in there get some check on it he’s got a birdie put Gavin from just right of the Fairway for his second plays a high one drops in there CJ for his third from just off the cart path gets one up there he’s got a putt as well Gavin for his birdie putt misses on the low side Joel’s going to give it to him for his par now Jimmy for his birdie a slippery putt from here a good run at it but he’s going to take his par as well Joel with a great look for birdie here let’s see if he can convert and lips out again the putter is just not on for Joel on the front nine so far it was a Christmas gift from Joel We got lucky as there9 59 Joel and CJ are going to press for half so that’s $100 a who’s your favorite guy to play with well they’re pressing not me Gavin with a great drive going at the tree is a little low I think it’ll get through oh Jimmy way left but luckily there’s another Fairway over there it’s not where he wanted to be but he’ll have a shot at the green slow the swing that’s fine landed really SL God that was left CJ’s turn now gives it a R that’s about perfect that’s going to be position a for CJ Joel Joel on the T plays a low cut that is just a perfect drive there wouldn’t expect anything less from the tour pro Jimmy from way left he’s got a look at the green though and he comes up short he wants it to go right it’s not gonna CJ from the center cut just before the cart path runs one up there Gavin from just ahead of Jimmy plays a good one onto the green Joel from the Fairway he doesn’t like it but I take that shot any day of the week Jimmy from left of the green blasts his chip over the green rolling Into the Bunker no it’s going to be saved by The Rake he’ll be hitting his fourth from there I think he got a little flustered came up majorly short on that chip CJ for his birdie oh slow down ball Gavin now for his birdie misses it right he’ll take his par now Joel for birdie to win the hole I mean he’s been very close on all these putts he just has not gotten any of them to ball CJ’s par here they would take the hole and he drains it all right the match is back to all square going into the ninth the match is back to all square going into the ninth CJ and Joel one up on the Press now Joel blocks it a little but that’ll be just fine there as well Gavin rips this one hopefully it stays short of the bunker up there and it will and Jimmy finds himself in the Fairway as well it Oh’s it not cut Jimmy with a nice little 40 yard shot up under the green BLS one up there gets some check he’s got a great look for birdie Joel from the right side of the Fairway and he’s got a birdie putt as well now CJ let’s see if he can put one tight oh wow gets a big kick to the left that’s just knowing the course there Gavin I think he scooped it a little bit he comes up just short stays out of the bunker though that’s not what he wanted Gavin with a great shot there but is it going to stay no it’s coming down the hill he’s going to have a long look for par really needed that Joel for a birdie that’s going to put a lot of pressure on Gavin and Jimmy trickling down towards the hole and he’s going to miss just about 6 Ines to the left Gavin with the comebacker for his long par putt cozies it up there but it’s not going to drop Joel Scoops it now CJ for birdie is going to put pressure on Jimmy to make his Putt and he misses just to the right as well can’t believe it Jimmy for birdie to take the hole ah and he misses it unbelievable a 5- foot put Jimmy misses it push the front but they win the Press sorry on to the back nine stay tuned to see
