The DP World Tour heads to Golfclub München Eichenried for the BMW International Open, the final event of the European Swing, the fourth of five Global Swings on the 2024 Race to Dubai. There’s plenty at stake at the sixth and final counting event of the Swing, with a spot at the Genesis Scottish Open up for grabs to the Swing Champion as well as places in The 152nd Open at Royal Troon for the top five players not otherwise exempt on the Race to Dubai. Current Swing leader Guido Migliozzi will be teeing up this week hoping to retain his position at the top above Nacho Elvira, while Thriston Lawrence returns to defend the title he won last year and last week’s champion Marcel Siem is among a number of German stars that will be hoping to impress on home soil. Away from the top of the rankings, one of the biggest focuses of the week will be on Bernhard Langer, the most successful German golfer of all time, who is set to make his 513th and final appearance on the DP World Tour. Ryan Fox will also make his third appearance in a regular DP World Tour event this season as he begins a three-week stretch in Europe and he is joined by 2016 Masters champion Danny Willett, who won his maiden DP World Tour title at the BMW International Open in 2012 at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof Cologne.

and you just you know what there’s no fear you just roll them in and I think he’s in that mode at the moment there you go simply magnificent performance so far from you and Ferguson and as Andrew said that is a five shot lead now natur Al struggling a bit this is his third at three he’s a winner this year isn’t he there you go deserves a bit of luck he’s 140th at four over that’ll move him up a few spots the dream still alive beautiful weather incredible atmosphere and a fabulous field here at the BMW International and there you go hooked it round the trees just short of the green pitched it up and made a beautiful birdie for the hard way good to watch Martin ker this week yeah he looks a little bit always like he’s back to his best that t-shot off the first was aiming parallel left and just green left to right and it goes very nice just just land it over The Fringe on a slight down slope it’ll run out what I love is his posture look at this get in that’s just magnificent he makes those shots look so easy because his posture is so good and Lang he’s a Bly Part I 12 to get to minus 6 it’s tracking oh it’s tracking indeed like right down a drain pipe oh it’s a lovely puing stroke beautifully done left below right nice and aggressive up the hill that’s the first one we’ve seen hole from there w how about that for precise he never lost it has he a bad position after an average first round straight up the hill pretty much and in for Freddy shot and the pist pump and he’s to three under use of the bones there with that little shot and the body at 14 M yeah just again gently right to left but look at the pace on this he just tumbling in nicely into the front edge and Eagle try at 18 well that’s Risa from Finland 129 for Reed hint of win behind in from the right he’ll be taking dead aim with a wedge bringing it in pretty flat yeah boys he got his eye in now Patrick Reed he’s just seeing nothing but birdies yeah just a fraction in this not much maybe just inside left trying to send one in hi here at 15 oh off the cush this could go in you know this could go in stop it you meant that that’s a members bounce they call that with the emotion a lovely pick shot into the 18 from Ryan [Music] Fox and in typical Superstar Fashion he pleases the gallery what a career congratulations Berard Langer thank you for everything you have achieved in the game you will be missed but we have loved every single minute of it great respect from everybody terrific agulation that’s how it Stacks up at the minute L gask just with the last hole left to play can get to I can’t get to minus 12 budy would get him to – 11 four players at at of eastberg and Southgate still with work to do Bernard as much as we all know how much you would have loved to have made that weekend and despite your efforts this really is a moment of Celebration uh golf in Europe is your home but also the Catalyst for the career that you’ve had uh could you just summarize to us what the DP World Tour is meant to you both on and off the golf course yeah it’s hard to put into words um it’s kind of been a a dream come through for me you know growing up in a village of 800 people where nobody knew what golf was period when I told my classmates I’m going to go play golf they thought I’m crazy and uh they thought I’m a PPT golfer mini golfer and all that so people had no idea and it was really a strange situation even when I finished school and I tried to become a golf professional uh people didn’t even know what that was it didn’t even exist as a professional in a way so it was very difficult complicated but uh it was my dream and sorry uh yeah I was able to live that dream for 50 years 51 years now so uh Wonder wonderful memories all over the world not just in Europe but you know in Asia whoops sorry Asia Australia Japan you know America really everywhere South Africa I was able to travel the world uh meet with kings and queens and play golf with all sorts of people whether they’re successful businessmen or just uh the average uh butcher or Bri brick layer or whatever it was it was fun it was great and yeah I had lots of uh ups and downs in my career uh there were difficult times with The Yips and other things but uh I’ve had many wonderful moments U it was a privilege to you know play with a big five as they call them uh savy and falo and Lyle and wzy uh I think we spurred each other on uh I believe we probably made the tour in the 80s and ’90s what it is now what it has become and uh it was fun playing against these guys and and you know the youngsters now uh bear the benefits of that throughout the 10 times that you teed it up but also Captain the Ridder cup you’ve built some lifelong relationships and you’ll be able to keep that forever how much will you cherish these moments and memories oh forever they they will not fade away um you know the captaincy was certainly one of my highlights uh to be the captain of the European team and to win in America was unheard of really at that point in time uh and to play under four or five different captains was a privilege uh it it was always an honor to represent the European flag and um it still is so great memories from all over the place knowing that this is your last event on the DP World Tour your colleagues have only had precious things to say I guess in regards to what you have meant to them what have they meant to you well they’ve meant a great deal you know they’ve been the people I’ve competed against really but my my fellow competitors but also my friends uh We’ve created many close friendships uh over decades really with some of them yet at the same time I don’t know half the players that are here now so uh that’s part of life it’s the cycle of life you know it’s almost two generations uh from when I started uh but I’m thrilled to see how many German Pro we have now on tour that you know they’ve they’ve stepped into my footsteps and taken on the challenge and hopefully develop German games the German golf some more in the future well Bernard you’re an absolute inspiration for all on behalf of everyone thank you so much for everything you’ve done for our game appreciate all that you do for our game thank you

  7. I think if the great Peter Alliss gave some commentary advice to Mark Rowe it would be ' don't talk when people can see what's happening ' In fact if Mark didn't talk at all that would be a really positive move !
