In this video I play Hoakalei Country Club back nine from the blue tees and try to explain every shot. The course is rated 73.4 overall and is a tough track. Admittedly I did not have my best stuff this day but was able to turn in a 40. Golf in Hawaii can be hard when the wind starts blowing.

[Music] 97 yards back pin position into a little bit of wind going to the 50° go get on back there up the hill left to right snapping at the end and there’s the snap oh taking an aggressive line 71 to the pin let’s grip man I’ve left it way out to the right anything not in the water is fine though let’s go that’s a really nice shot uphill right to left a green light situation and you left it short okay good par 167 crosswind and I’m hitting a seven iron got to hit it good and going for the center of the green I hit a good just way out to the right 4° wedge nothing nothing fancy here land it down there trickle down to the hole it’s going to bounce right but then it’s going to go right to left all you’re going to start your turn there you go h a little more spin than I wanted okay guys a trickling trickler come on nope too low I really left that down here didn’t I let’s go okay that was a 3-wood off the tea to lay up short of this bunker now we’ve got another three-wood straight down wind probably 310 to the pin grip it and rip it let’s go baby all right guys 97 y downwind out of rough I need to fly this about 80 and the wind will help it and then it’ll roll up to that pin so I’m going to try and hit like my 80 80 yard 54° wedge here low wind blow blow oh man that’s just not a good shot guys all right I’m going to put this Texas wedge style not that hard of a shot should be able to convert this I think I hit it too hard maybe no that’s going to be nice nice okay guys a truly difficult t- shot I’m aiming right out there in the middle of all these bunkers Straight Ahead wind a little bit little little bit left to right but really need to stay with this one and get good [Music] alignment wow that might be the best Drive I’ve fit all day the most challenging shot on the back nine uh pins in the back middle rightish green goes like this short there’s a lake long there’s a collection area and it’s all downwind 158 I’m going with a nine iron be the club be the club baby oh no okay just got there uphill under the grain I think it’s going to go left to right actually now that’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done big hop left big hop left oh and it bounced right oh my God how does that happen 204 I’m going with a six iron cuz this is going to just fly like you wouldn’t believe and it’s going to roll okay 63 yards I practice 60 yards all the time so this should be a pretty pretty easy shot okay not bad 180 straight into the wind I’m going with the four hybrid I’ll take anything short of this green actually being easy up and down if I hit it good I’ll get on to the green wind is right in our face that is not a really good shot man my swing is messed up for a nip cheese here 58° wedge one hop stop got to commit to this shot I pulled it a little bit yep one hop stop this is slippery guys 206 straight down wind going with the five iron taking dead aim just a little too delicate chip here bad lie bad bounce actually I actually landed on the green it kicked over here uh got to play the wind a little bit with this chip this chip in the air is going to go left to right so we got to play it out a little bit to the left not that far left oh we yanked it too left to right all right let’s rally with the birdie we’re hitting our driver good so let’s grip it and rip it we hit it pretty solid but a little left we’re going to be okay we’re like 330 to the hole I’m hitting a four hybrid cuz I’m in the rough I want to catch a flyer and hit it at that third palm tree that’s my line swing hard flyer that’ll work okay good 104 downwind 54 I need a birdie fly baby fly fly baby yep okay let’s get the two putt finish up here right to left left to right uphill downhill might be okay come on back to the right oh okay that’s Paul Vision Quest golf thank you for joining thanks likes comments subscribes appreciate it back nine at haaka from the blue te’s and I think a shot of 40 thank you for joining appreciate it
