[Music] all right all right and welcome everybody to another dad hat Chronicle sport show my name is Ed also known as the dad and with me I got my two good friends one of them uh uh the third one uh co-host of the show decided to show up late but whatever we’re not going to count that against him uh we got today the prospector and the influencer the influencer is is on location look at him I wonder where he’s at we will ask him here in a minute uh but let’s start with the prospector what’s up Mr Patrick Larson how are you my friend I’m doing okay Ed how are you doing my B I’m living the dream baby you know this I I hear you I hear you well you know you know this is always one of my favorite nights of the week hanging out with you guys and always um just happy to happy to be on tonight with you guys and shout out to the chat thanks for joining us all right shout out chat room all right and then Mr in wait wait hold on a second what are we wearing what are we drinking well we’re sticking close to home uh we’ve got a Gwynette stripers um custom hat Cur a Topper store USA and then we have the the Retro stripers uh nice t-shirt and then tonight we got a little food too we got some uh Mega goldfish so oh man look at you and um is that dinner no no I had a sandwich earlier but it’s just a little snack and then we got a little Prime to go with it so oh Zach is in my backyard look at him Zach I totally forgot you were here my friend I do apologize but Burlington sock puppets baby I love it I love it uh we got Phil who’s in Albuquerque Zach is in Burlington uh and then uh Virgil is in Chattanooga okay no game just chilling all right all right and then Mr Professor hat her need to watch something other than the Cubs game yeah it’s probably a good idea my friend it is probably a good idea what’s up Val alrighty uh Ed Mr influencer what’s going on my friend what’s going on what’s up what are we doing man what what are we wearing what are we drinking what’s up with that where you at tonight so at the wind surge game it’s tumba vaka night I got the new TV had on and we’re up one nothing bottom three uh dude for already got thrown out of the game which was fun and got some water tonight but it’s tumba vaka day witch night uh it rained pretty heavy before the start of the game but a decent crowd and they gave away Beach Tow tonight with the tumba vakas on it gotta love it gota love fre stuff yep love it so life must be a beach there tonight huh always here we go already we’re starting uh all right so so as far as myself I’m wearing my Cleveland Guardians New Era uh hat uh actually no this is a 47 I do apologize 47 give you guys oh the flying G and a by the way Ed how are you doing tonight man come on baby you know me as cool as as the other pillow I’m doing well tonight so we’re watching my Guardians right now they are tied at the bottom of the ninth right now against the Chicago White Socks uh and then also I am drinking tonight line in Google Summer Shandy baby you know so gota love that uh Lynn hi from the West Branch okay got it uh Zach anded X that’s right uh so Lyn be safe with your Tor with your tornado warning be be safe yeah no kidding my God uh so unless everybody be safe um so uh let’s get started let’s get let’s jump right into it you know what I want to do is I wanted to uh well I wanted to get a uh the opin of both U the influencer and the mayor on the game that just recently just uh went to uh down in Alabama so uh so I guess I’ll just start with Eric you know tell us all about it my friend feels like what was it like two or three weeks ago already now two weeks ago I guess we got so busy I forgot what we talked about last week but it was so busy we didn’t even get a chance to talk about that I know H it was really fun uh so Mrs fluenc her and I who’s sitting next to me I told her she should hop on but she’s just going to roast us she’s watching us sitting next to me but I love it we flew down to Atlanta uh got in like after midnight the basically the morning of the game stay in Atlanta and then Donnie and Ronda Mrs Mr and Mrs mayor came over picked us up you mean that guy right there that guy hey what’s up we’re talking about rickwood since we miss okay last week hold on a second time out time out Eric time out you are no you are not wearing a tennis hat he sure is kick him out I cannot believe this dude is wearing a tennis hat look at this doesn’t he know this already the rules are that tennis is 5 Seconds unreal unreal can you believe that seller sent me five bucks to sneak it in uh all right Eric got apologize go ahead and finish up my friend Patrick you’re muted do you want him to introduce himself at all or come back to him later yeah we’ll come back to him since he has a tennis hat it doesn’t understand okay so anyway so uh they came and picked us up and we drove that morning to Birmingham we met up with Johnny and Melinda six of us met up at a little local Burger Joint Milo in Birmingham had lunch there there and then we went over to Birmingham District Brewing Company had a drink and then we went over to uh region field to go to the Birmingham baren Team Store got a Birmingham Black Baron shirt or sorry hat and then went over to the Negro southerling Museum and then we got to the game gate opened so you were talking with Paul and he said the gates open for the London series like three hours early it opened that early for the rickwood game and we got there that early because they had a Ballpark Village kind of out front which was a ton of fun I wish we would have got to experience that a little bit more uh and then got to watch the game and then we drove back to Atlanta after the game that night we got back to Atlanta like 2 am oh my god Patrick hey guess what I slept the whole time I was just I literally was going to ask that was he pass out Donnie shocker pass out so I so on the way the way back to Atlanta um me and Shannon were talking like Ronda zoned out Eric zoned out and so basically me and Shannon were talking like the whole two hour drive back to Atlanta she was in the back seat I was in front seat we just kept conversation going there she is I did sleep at all all that night she can’t Eric because Eric insists on sleeping well so so get this so we had a like a 5 a.m flight and so we didn’t get back to Atlanta till like 2 so we went and packed up our bags and then got on the shuttle and headed to the airport so it was like 3:00 when we got to the airport so yeah we literally did not go to sleep that night I mean I did technically in the car but we didn’t actually sleep in a bed or anything so we pulled an all nighter which is harder to do when you’re late 30s hey I get it bro uh first of all shout out to Tom on in Instagram live my friend uh he just said what’s up on the well live on Instagram so I got to give him a shout out to him uh Shannon did pass out when I got home from witch us so there it is shocker Eric slipped on the phone on the plane as well look at that I’m not gonna lie to you though like if I’m if I’m not driving and I’m on the passenger side it is really hard for me to stay awake so it’s I I understand I understand Eric but okay so get this though so when we went to the Negro Sou leag Museum we’re all walking around and whatever and uh Donnie’s wearing a a special limitededition Josh Gibson shirt and some guy comes up to him is like hey I noticed your Josh Gibson shirt and we’re just kind of talking to him and Donnie’s like oh hey it’s good seeing you again just like acting like casual some dude he knew later he goes oh yeah that’s Josh Gibson’s great-grandson Shan Gibson I’m like you’re just going to casually throw that in there like like oh hey by the way that’s Josh Gibson’s great grandson and not make a big deal about it for real yeah yeah I met him in Columbia two years ago in fact it was almost two two years ago to the day that we were there I think it actually was two years ago to the day we were there wa he was he was here for the Negro League celebration in at the fireflies and I I talked to him for I don’t know 20 minutes out here so but yeah he recognized Donnie’s shirt Donnie bought it from him and Johnny’s like oh yeah by the way I mean he introduced us and everything so we got to talk to him but he just kind of casual like oh that’s just you know Sean Gibson hello Josh Gibson great grandson We’re not gonna make a big deal about this well I didn’t want to embarrass the man well you know it was just really cool to get to Mee him though yeah yeah absolutely I’m thinking about so opening night for the NBC World Series is the 90th Edition and we’re celebrating uh uh satchel pagee and so Satchel paig is Grand andon will be there so I’m potentially GNA go because you can get a VIP ticket for that for 50 bucks and then you get a meal and get to meet him and they doing like a bobblehead giveaway and everything so I might that I Grand bro he is by far one of my favorite Negro Leagues player Satchel pige no joke D that 90th Edition 90th Anniversary bobblehead giving away is super sweet oh I don’t know if I sent you a picture but it’s really cool yeah I saw that yeah you should I think you did send it to us I’m like if you can I don’t do a lot of bobbleheads you know but if you can get one of those D yeah I mean about like someone who understood entertainment and baseball you know what I’m saying like I mean that man was like he was like it like you know if if if there was social media back then imagine like Satchel Page on Instagram or on Twitter whatever you know what I mean like I mean that’s how cool that dude was I mean I would have taken a page out of his book but okay okay hey by the way the Guardians want in walk-off passion just wanted to put that out there was pretty cool uh anyways what’s that #winning hash winning anyways uh Mr Mayor yes sir uh how are you my friend I’m doing okay sorry I was late I was trying to finish cooking my son some some hamburgers and we got a late start because Ronda got home late from work she’s trying not to work the rest of the week so she worked a little late we had to run the grocery store blah blah blah blah blah so I get that my friend I get it like hey we we’re trying to close out as much as possible before you know cuz listen let’s be honest a lot of people are going to be working maybe half a day you know they they’ll show up to work for half a day they just won’t do anything for that day so yeah you know what I mean so I’m with you there my friend uh but uh listen um what what are you wearing uh what are you drinking so I I went for the content joke um I was I was actually organizing some more of my hats into some boxes and I have a bunch of you know travel hats and things my friend Phil picked this up at Wimbledon a couple years ago and I saw it uh and sellers had said something yesterday about or day before yesterday about you know one more sleep till Wimbledon started yesterday so I thought what the heck I would uh I would throw him a I’d throw him a bone and wear the Wimbledon hat today and uh drinking uh a can of long baller from the can Ballers speaking of long baller I sorry have to stop you my father-in-law is eating at the restaurant right now oh yeah uh yeah he goes like hey we got to come here when you come down you know cuz like he it’s like he was right there he lives close by to can Canapolis and and he sended me the picture of the menu so I’ll send it to you guys here in a little bit he sending me the picture of the menu and he and he sent me a video I’m like man this guy’s like you know doing what I want to do right now is eating at the canapple is restaurant right there by the ballpark you ought to go down there on Friday Virgil will be at the cannonballers on Friday I’m going to see I don’t know uh so uh we were going to go down there tomorrow night but the problem is the wife has co uh so you know she’s at work she’s not she’s been at home for the last you know couple of days so we’ll see how that goes Donnie tell that story that shanon just said yeah I want to know about this story that BoB Kendrick story so I felt bad for Johnny because he wasn’t gonna be able to keep up with us but anyway so I I I’ll preface the story about why I stopped him to start with other than just to meet BoB Kendrick well right so last year when we did our trip to Omaha and Kansas City uh Ronda and I had gone to um The Negro League museum in Kansas City right on that Friday before we went to Omaha because we were there for the bananas monarchs game well when I was checking out of the the team the store there not Team Store the uh the store at the Museum there was a guy behind the counter and there’s a young kid ringing me up and I looked at that guy and I thought God that looks like BoB Kendrick he’s like wearing a white T-shirt shorts tennis shoes and I’m like cool as a cucumber I was like that can’t be him and I didn’t pull the string and like ask him are you BoB Kendrick I was just like no that can’t be him and I’ve regretted it ever since because then later I was like yeah that was him and I just like I missed my opportunity to say hello to him so fast forward to the rickwood he’s he comes rolling by there was a couple other Negro League players on the golf cart with him that I had just seen on Friday night and and met them on Friday night in uh Chattanooga M and uh so I was saying Hey to them and then I was like like oh Bob Kendrick’s on the back so and they had stopped so I just walked up to him and I I I said hey Mr Kendrick I just wanted to meet you and shake your hand and uh and I told him the story about the previous year and he said he was he got a big smile on his face and was just like you know well I’m glad glad you finally got to you know to actually meet me and all that I appreciate it appreciate you supporting the museum and so then the cart kind of the guy driving the car started pulling away a little bit and Eric and I looked at each other and it’s like oh man um I wish we could have got a picture with him and they just started driving off and so we started kind of walking along waiting for them to stop out the fence like out to the sidewalk to go around the outside front of the stadium yeah yeah and he’s like he’s like let’s cut through there and see if we can head them off so we kind of went scurrying down through there came out at the front of uh rickwood and they were turning the corner and they got stopped again and so we started walking and talking with him as he just kind of rolled along at like a half mile an hour and finally we got to where we they were about to go through a gate that we weren’t going to be able to walk through uh because it was back to a VIP area and we were like I said I said do you think they would stop long enough for us to get a picture and he looked at the driver and he’s like ah he jumped off he’s like I’ll catch up to him he’s like you get your picture I was like oh that’s awesome dude I was like that is so cool so he stood there and got a couple pictures with the with Eric and I and I mean just the nicest man in the world was so nice I cannot wait to go and I felt so bad that they kind of took off and we couldn’t get Johnny over there to to meet him and and yeah get a picture with him as well but so was Bob fanboying for the mayor and the influencer is that was it a case of that or was he I’ll let you get a picture with me but really they even said that they’re part of the you know the DHC sport show and all that stuff they all say that I think I think he had regret after they drove off that he didn’t get a with me after the story I told him so he was like hoping I would catch up I figured I mean I I kind of assume that it was it was I mean it was just a great time of meeting I mean I got to meet um um uh I mean we got to meet Sophie we got to meet uh a couple other guys there Charles Dennis Ste Charles Dennis yeah yeah and um I mean it was just and dyra Sam Dy oh yeah he came to our seats Johnny was like Hey we’re here he’s like where are you we’re in the Outfield so he came get down get [Applause] down yeah he he came out there and I me he had no idea who I was because he obviously he knew who Johnny and Eric were because he had been on their show um so I I kind of you know introduced myself and jumped in there and I still don’t think he knows who I am but so let me ask you this uh you know like who’s who’s the lung Jumper in this one was it or was it a relay uh of peasant the Baton between the two of you on the Olympic Runners we stay together it was neck and neck we weren’t we were one and say but yeah I was like because when they went out we looked there and saw him I was like we’re going to be easier and quicker if we cut them off so we actually went cut through part of the stadium yeah we took the shortcut yeah like back down down through like the where the original ticket office and all that would be and come out underneath the uh the iconic front of the that’s when Eric pulled on the jet is like I’m going to get me my mile you know run [Applause] here Village was the coolest thing yeah that Village was cool it had a lot of stuff there a lot of displays um a lot of information to look at uh just really cool they may eye contact and said we don’t [Laughter] play oh my god oh oh thank you Shannon for this I needed this that’s awesome uh you know uh you know it’s good to see that it’s good to uh uh see that so I appreciate that that’s awesome though like you guys got to meet uh BoB Kendrick I mean how cool is that though yeah that’s pretty badass I’m so I’m so jelly right now so I’m not even gonna lie I’m I’m very jelly but congratulations uh overall though um it was a good good experience uh over there yeah the game was actually really good too was what 65 yeah Birmingham end uping to montgom 65 but they had a chance to win it or send it exas but yeah it actually a really good really good uh really good nice I love it who she saying that to she she knows I missed oh okay I was about to say yeah sending that to ER you know obviously Soh all right boys well let’s let’s a little bit of Facebook we did obviously I mean we need you know we need the you know the Mrs influencer with all the good you know comments on the on the chat so appreciate everybody on the chat tonight so thank you for joining us guys all right boys and girls let’s talk uh let’s talk a little bit of baseball um you know I want to I want to I want to see where the standings are as of right now because I mean uh as of today right I mean you know there’s some games have been played so you know we’re going to we’re going to see what’s up uh so let’s start with the national league uh Philadelphia is in first place in the National League East uh the Dodgers are in first place in the west and then Milwaukee Brewers um I think they you know they they they they have a little bit of a u in them to you know make sure that great Council does not uh get that division this year so they’re in first place Atlanta s San Diego St Louis are the three teams right now that are buying for that wild card spot uh and then the New York Mets are not too far behind at one and a half games back at 41 and 41 so uh not bad for a team that’s like you know oh wait they highest payroll in baseball got it never mind um all right and then let’s move on to the American League real quick here uh what we have right now is crazy uh Cleveland in first place that’s is weird that’s the whole reason you brought it up I don’t know what you’re talking about uh Baltimore in first place in the East that would they’re tied they’re tied listen I have Baltimore right now they’re ahead because of the winning percentage my friend H 200s hey I’m just saying uh then you got Seattle in the west I love that I love that Seattle’s in the west right now ahead that’s a such a cool one uh then you got guys news flash new New York Yankees the Minnesota Twins and the Kansas City influencers tied right now you know for that wild card the two spots uh this is this is wild what do we think I think my predictions are looking pretty good me too I was gonna say the same thing because that’s about where all of mine were I believe well for me except for the alest I didn’t have the Mariners as high as as you did and I knew the I knew the Yankees Baltimore is going to be kind of a a back and forth the rest of the year so we’ll just we’ll see where it goes I mean I don’t know how we lost two out of four to Toronto that’s what put us in this tie situation but still anybody can anybody can win on any day we almost lost to Chicago to tall I mean I can’t you know what I mean we lost the Series against Kansas City Royal so uh uh dang oh no I I’m I’m mentioning it right now uh Zach I mean I I was like I I and you can I’m I’m guarante I texted Eric and I congratulated him on the series win I was like hey they they get their roses they they beat Cleveland fair and square on that one so yeah to the point where uh trist uh Tristan Mckenzie was sent down to Triple Eight they sent him down so I mean that he’s been doing that bad this year they were like yeah bro we need you to go ahead and your your together down at Triple A so you know I mean that’s embarrassing right I mean you’re the number two starter and then well technically number one because of uh Bieber going down and you were sent down to Triple A it’s happened twice in Toronto this year with the various pitchers Eric Swanson lost control and he’s he’s down in Buffalo trying to figure out whatever whatever happened to his confidence and Alec manov where he was shut down for the year obviously so again yeah well yeah yeah Al manowa is out for the year so in very very old news but um I’m glad that your teams are within playoff contention or in first place in your divisions happy for you guys I’m no you’re not I am I am I know you are I love how he just called you all like no you’re not stop lying I mean what did I do to the mayor man I’m just getting knocked right no it’s just funny that that that that Patrick’s he’s I mean it’s not even the All-Star break and he’s already reserved the fact that they’re done well well I mean I mean they are 15 games back bro I mean they’re in last plays in the East right and then the wild card they are um yeah they’re not good they’re eight games back on the on the on the wild card so I mean they’re rebuilding they’ve been rebuilding for the last two years bro yeah yeah well we’ll see what kind of true rebuilding project they’re going to do let’s see if they if they try to touch vlat and Bo there’s going to be a lot of fans upset especially with the way V you know Bo’s leaving they’re sending Bo out they’re shipping him out well we’ll see what happens we’ll see what happens um so are you buying to get him to Cleveland is that why you’re saying that bro uh I don’t know what you’re talking about my man I have no idea uh bro bro BR brh uh I don’t know what you’re talking about you know I have no idea yeah we’ll see what happens okay you know honestly who knows like at this point like I mean this we’re not even at the at the All-Star game yet so lots of things can happen for God’s sakes look at uh Houston right Houston is in second place right now they’re three games back in the Wild Card uh so I mean anything can happen at this point and what they are only three games back of Seattle right now yeah yeah they they’ve been playing better basb Don should I’ve taken my Red Sox bet listen the Red Sox are um they’re what third place eight games back right now 45 and and 39 all admit they’re doing better than I thought they did they would do so they’re better than I thought they’d be solid eye I had them in last place so did I I know Eric did too yeah to be fair yeah to be fair I had uh the L Jay’s already in fourth place so I’m only one worse off than I thought I’d be so uh let me see I’m looking for the the All-Star game uh the new format for the All-Star Game the the Home Run Derby we were just talking about this a couple of days ago um let me ask you this what do you guys uh what do you guys think of the new format when I first read it I thought it was actually pretty good I like I liked the fact that every the first round is all of them in a pool because I always hated they pair guys up and you get somebody that just got hot and screwed up so I mean it just it needed to be that that was perfect to do that um I don’t I’m not sure we’ll see how the pitches versus timing because they only what 40 pitches in the first round and 27 I think in the the second round or something like that or time limit depending on which comes first so the the first round all eight players get three minutes or 40 pitches whichever comes first so it’s about efficiency plus one timeout right okay uh the four leading home run hitters Advance uh ties are broken using the long the longest home run distance yeah uh after the initial 340 minut uh three minutes uh or 40 pitches each player gets three bonus outs where they continue hitting until three outs are recorded hitters can earn a fourth bonus with a 425 foot home run uh in bonus time this gives anyone who is trailing a chance to catch up because they can continue hitting homers in bonus until they run out of outs yeah so I mean and then they seed them after that you know the top four they get seeded which is good too because then you get the guy that has had hit the most in the first round going against the one to hit the least so I I love it I I think I I think Val said on the text the other day is like is just going to speed it up I I don’t know that anything’s going to speed it up because it’s for TV anyway yeah but it will speed up the the per player I think a little bit i’ love that you know I’m with you there it’s like I like that that it is a pool first uh it’s not a bracket style then the semi-final then it’s a bracket style that I like a lot yes definitely that I I I agree with it like one against four and two against three same same thing though right three minutes 40 pitches yeah you know what I mean so like I mean that that part it still counts as uh uh the and then also the same bonus times rules apply so again I mean I I don’t have any issues the final two players are uh now have two minutes in the finals two minutes or 27 pitches one timeout it was the finals that went down to 27 pitches the first two rounds were 40 okay yep uh but the same bonus still applies the bonus hasn’t changed the only thing that changed at that point is 2 minutes or 20 pitches yeah uh so there you go uh Eric uh or or Patrick what do you guys think about that not not everybody at once Patrick you’re up all right well he’s not gonna say anything so I’m with Donnie as far as like there was a year a couple years ago like Salvador Perez hit like 29 home runs in the first round but he was going up against Pete Alonzo when he won like back to back so he didn’t even get to advance he had the second most home runs out of anybody because of the guy he was facing um I’d be curious just to see it play out just to kind of I mean I I understand how or what the rules are going to be but I’d just be curious to see what it looks like I I think I could better gauge it after I see it this year but I think it’ll be hopefully better from what I can tell at least by what they said it’s going to be this year mhm when are they going to announce who Zen it next week or two should be coming up I mean because I mean the game is on July 15 I was say didn’t I say that Gunner was already announced that’s what Zach just said he just said that in my ear he said gunar Henderson’s already gun became the first player to commit uh to to that on the fence is sh Otani uh guess who’s not participating Aaron judge yeah Jordan Alvarez is not participating either so uh yeah we’ll see I mean let him be the judge of that oh no I knew it was coming I was like I was like let Patrick get his joke in because I know there’s one coming and Henderson and Henderson’s gunning for the victory please knock him out take it remove him no um I know you didn’t ask for my opinion on this but uh I I like the I like the Home Run Derby the new format in concept I like the I like the fact that you had to earn your way into the final four I like um because before as you guys were saying it was a luck of the draw versus who you faced and um I think earning your way in in the first round I think also limiting it to 40 pitches or three minutes is good because a lot of times we saw in previous Home Run Derby there were be fatigue at the end of the remember vaty oh yeah hitting like I mean that dude just went nuts and then and then he just ran out of team at the end he should have won that yeah that he just went freaking berserk yeah yeah because this one yordan would yeah so yeah yeah Jordan Alvarez would put on a show but I I like it I want to see how kind of like Eric I want to see how it plays out but I really like it um in theory um to I like to uh I like that I like this new setup versus what we see in the past so I’m excited to see how it all plays out ad doas Garcia is a jack dude if I see if he represents you know like the Rangers how be ridiculous uh who you know I don’t I can’t really see who was the ones that are were like you know Vine for are playing right now uh so I want to make sure like you know like who who were the ones who are going to be at the Home Run Derby uh it looks like uh the Blue Jays one yes sir look at Don he’s like wait hold on a second I didn’t see that I was looking to looking to see who was leading uh both leagues and like what the Home Run stats were well we know Gunner up there because like you said judge has chosen not to participate and he’s one of the the Home Run leaders but um is that good or bad judgment I’ll be the judge of that all right all right it’s just you and I for the rest I know right like I mean Sweet Lord uh just that wasn’t me dude that wasn’t me Eric that wasn’t me uh name the top four home run leaders in each league for the Home Run Derby make players bow out and make them the bad guys some players won’t do it to keep up uh to keep up the image I don’t like that I like that idea like you know force them you know if you want if you want the All-Star game because we’ve been talking about this like should the All-Star Game be you know in the middle of the Season or should be at the end of the season whatever right I mean we need to be like this is this is part of it right you know like I mean if you’re going to uh if you’re going to you know say You’re Gonna participate they participate but if you’re the home run leader so far Hey listen we need you in there come on yeah I mean why would you not do it I mean that doesn’t I don’t understand well the reason is because they’re afraid they’re gonna get out of their SW you know they’re going to get bad habits from trying to pull the ball all the time will not be the Braves um it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with that so um I’m interested to see in the future if dbh um goes for any Cubs Affiliates or if they’ll even be able to get because I had everything all done and set up but the problem is there was no sound trying to figure out so Ed is an idiot uh but it’s good they talk about me pretty much the whole time and how they’re going to stand me up yet again pretty much because we you uh you know so it’s just part of it uh last night’s guys Val and I we interviewed Mike luchano of the Iron Pigs last night for the podcast which will be coming out part one next week let me tell you guys you guys are gonna love this yeah L luch is luch is a super super guy so what did y’all think about the city connect I know we T about it I like it I’m a fan love the video right we we talked about we wish some of the minor league teams would do it and Bam there you go iron pigs are jumping right out there and Rick Feliciano man that was cool with him and that was a good touch but that’s so that’s so deserved I mean Rick oh yeah Rick Rick embodies iron Hood like iron Pig’s fandom I mean and Philly’s fandom I mean he let me tell you though like I mean you know we were talking about like you there’s too many identities from the Iron Pigs I know why now after this interview with him and all that it’s makes sense yeah like I mean okay it does I I can’t say anything bad about the Iron Pigs or like you know like no luch there’s luch is a man yeah but I’m saying but like there’s a method to the madness with luch I mean he knows oh 100% yeah there’s a method to it I mean he he he’s got a pulse on on how this works I mean yeah from previous experience where he used to work at you know to and you’ll hear it on the on the you’re still dang you’re still humble aage tomorrow we are talking again with George Bowski he uh had a famous o for 13 start for the home teams this season every home team for the first 13 games lost so he talks about his losing streak uh and then he’s also coming out with a new book so he’s talking about his new book that he’s written and then we do earn front average trivia so Mr George falowski tomorrow earn front average there it is Mr Mr Mayor um so I’ve got uh virgils coming to town tomorrow uh actually gonna be here next two days so Virgil and I are going to go out to the Blowfish game tomorrow night uh we’re gonna hit actually we’re gonna hit angry fish Brewing uh before the game and catch the Blowfish game and then we are headed over to Florence on the fourth um and Mrs mayor’s going with me and we’re gonna meet up with Glenn wiel uh over there we he’s got a suite at the flamingos game so we’re going to have the first base Suite with him and his family so nice um yeah I love that Glenn does that every year yep so we’re looking forward to that and uh we’re gonna hit a a bre or something over there and uh catch out of flamingo’s game and then I think Virgil’s heading on if I remember right his itinerary is uh Canapolis on Friday in case any of you guys are around Canapolis and then uh making for the bacon on Saturday nice I like it I like it uh Patrick talk to me let’s see so for the Hat history series this week we’re going back to the perfect game collegiate baseball league and we’re going um we’re going to Albany New York with Albany Dutchman so um so maybe a team that some know maybe some that don’t know so we’re um okay yeah verg’s going to done making let’s go oh he changed it to Augusta okay yeah okay so so yeah it’s Albany Dutchman this week from the perfect game collegia baseball league and um um that drops tomorrow tomorrow so I hope you guys enjoy it it’s a team that doesn’t get talked about a whole lot so I still trying to do those when I can so yeah um check it out tomorrow like it man I like it a lot I like it uh and then obviously for uh the data Chronicle uh podcast uh this week we finished the interview with uh with Paul uh of baseball by Design when he went to London uh to watch some baseball right his Philly so that was a a good interview to uh finish the week uh we did talk about Eric and hore we’re gonna you know you know he’s gonna get stood up again uh you know the usual stuff which is not bad uh so um Val and I we we did that one so we it was fun uh so you guys take a look next week it’s going to be another good one you know we’re bringing some good interviews for you guys in the next coming up soon guys so keep up up with it because it’s going to be some good stuff uh one other thing I am actually gonna play my first game on Thursday with the old guys League I had I had a guy from high school uh reach out and see if anybody wanted to join his Saturday league and um but they actually play games on Memorial Day Fourth of July and labor day as well as every Saturday from like March through October so I went out there checked it out on Saturday a little bit and uh they need some people for the game on the 4th so from 900 am to noon on the 4th I’m gonna play get some BCA do some stretching bring some Icy Hot with you yeah did you guys hear um did you guys hear what he said that he has a guy he does guy that reached out to him about playing I mean it’s it’s a usual by now it’s a usual by now well every time I think he every time I think he can’t diversify what he has a guy for he has another one I have a guy that’s gonna get me on the field actually playing so this this guy this guy went to high school I didn’t actually I didn’t even go to high school with him he graduated uh before my freshman year he’s four years ahead of me uh but how this came up was there’s a uh a Facebook page for my high school for the classes of the 80s so anybody that graduated the 1980s um is on this this Facebook page well three years ago one of my friends posted a picture of our high school baseball team which I I was on as a sophomore and last week this guy commented on that photo that had been hanging out there for three years that um he had this league if anybody wanted to come out and play some baseball now and they’ve got guys from their 20s to their 70s playing in this thing nice it’s it’s just it’s it’s uh we’ll see what it is it’s like 20 25 guys they pick two teams and you just you play different position or whatever different group of guys every week that sounds like a great podcast episode of either the de of the Dead hat Chronicles or the earn fund average podcast the baseball career of one Donnie wise I don’t know that there’s a whole lot to tell there but average above average or other we’ll see after Thursday so they uh Virgil wants to know if there’s they need a scorekeeper because he’s ready to go uh Orlando Greek that is the safest position to be in although you might get you know uh some hand cramps or something like that so you might want to you know again stretch uh stretch lots of hydration if Virgil wants to come out and keep score he is more than welcome to come out there with me on Thursday morning before we head to Florence so so Donnie’s gonna say to his team yeah I have a guy that could keep score that’s right hey they even have an Umpire I was impressed they they have a guy out there full umpire gear yeah I have a guy that can call balls and Strikes there you go so H rehabing currently rehabbing uh uh was it uh Virgil l a safe position he is currently rehabbing from muscle ouch yikes yeah get well soon Orlando yeah that one sucks uh and then Phil wants to know that uh austa has ice cream helmets now yep so there you go boys and girls uh guys uh the uh Patrick and Ed uh talk hats this week obviously not going to happen because it’s on the 4th so you know uh we might do it either Friday or Saturday so keep you know
