starting off with the defending national league Champion Arizona Diamondbacks they’re having an interesting season up to this point 41 and 43 as of right now two and a half back in the Wild Card race they’ve had a lot of injuries a lot of down years but they still find themselves in the thick of things taking a look at them offensively they actually have been pretty solid for the most part 11th overall on Fang graph despite a down Year from Corbin Carol yino Suarez Gabriel Moreno at the pl as well but they’re getting a great season from gatel Marte Walker Peterson McCarthy Giro Jr have been solid for the most part so they are getting the job done despite having these down Seasons where the problem lies with the Diamond Backs is the starting pitching 22nd overall in starting pitching this year in E re at 4.73 they’ve had a lot of injuries here gallon missed a lot of time Eduardo Rodriguez hasn’t even pitched this year Marill Kelly’s missed the majority of the year and Jordan Montgomery having just an abysmal season what the heck has happened here to Jordan Montgomery this is why you have to sign before spring training but you know this is definitely a problem and the bullpen they have been getting some solid performances from a few guys there but still the bullpen overall ranks 27th on Fang graphs and that is mainly just because you got some guys here at the bottom like mof Hughes Jarvis they’re having terrible years in this Bullpen but like I said you’re still getting decent performances here from guys like sea Wald GLE uh Ryan Thompson Justin Martinez has broken out this year mantili solid so this Diamond Backs team I do like the is Diamondback’s team I think they’re intriguing in the second half as of right now I think you just have to put them as a wild card team but I think if they get themselves in order get these injuries taken care of maybe you know get some more performance out of guys like Corbin Carroll I think you could bump them up here but for right now I’ll stick with a wild card team speaking of injuries the Atlanta Braves had a couple of major injuries losing MVP ronal aunu Jr and Sai Young candidate Spencer Strider but they’re still hanging on firmly to that first wild card spot with a record of 46 and 36 but losing aunia definitely was a blow to the offense they’re pretty middle of the road right now 14th overall in offense a 100 WRC plus they need some of these bats to get going now Marcel Ozuna he’s having an amazing year a 165 WRC plus 21 home runs Kellick has stepped up for them but Matt Olsson had a monster year last year a down year this year though Austin Riley the numbers have been down as well you know you’re not really getting a whole lot out of Michael Harris II Orlando rcia Adam Duval pretty down years at the plate but where the Braves have been excellent is the starting pitching fourth overall in starting pitching on the Year Chris S having a Renaissance of a year Health has been a big issue with him in the past but this year he’s looking amazing ra at 2.79 FIP at a 2.32 raldo Lopez what the heck is going on with this guy this year he was brought in people were thinking you know a fifth man in the rotation maybe a bit of a Swingman kind of a guy but he’s having an amazing season ra to 1.70 Max freed the usual Max freed great numbers from him overall Morton’s been pretty solid for the most part they’ve had a couple of the younger guys come up here Spencer schwellenbach he’s had a few starts you know AJ Smith Schauer he’s seen some time but overall this rotation has been amazing the bullpen for the most part has been solid 11th overall getting some really solid years here from guys like Joe Jimenez Aaron bummer has been a pretty decent pickup ryella glacius has 20 saves overall Bullpen not really too worried about it’s just this offense that they really need a bit of a jolt here but I still think this Braves team is a World Series favorite if you get into the postseason here with this rotation you know with guys like Chris S Max freed Ronaldo Lopez that’s really good maybe they can add a bat at the deadline I still think the Braves are a World Series favorite moving on to the Baltimore Orioles and man this team is so good they’re tied for first place in the American League East right now with the Yankees with a record of 53 and 31 their offense has been fantastic this year second overall in Major League Baseball led by the main man gunar Henderson he is absolutely making a case to be MVP take a look at these numbers a little bit past the halfway point of the year so far hitting 288 a 384 on base a 604 slugging 26 home runs and 13 stolen bases with a WRC plus of 177 take a look at the fan graph wins above replacement when you account for the offense and the defense it’s at a 6.0 as of right now and like I said we’re just right around the halfway point of the year we still got another half of the season to go if you take a look at some of the best fangraph 4 seasons of all time he is on Pace to possibly getting into the top 10 all time when it comes to fangraph war that is incredible but like I said this offense has been so good you’ve been getting a lot of good years in this offense here with guys like Jordan Westberg adley rushman Anthony sandir bringing a lot of power Mount Castle’s been solid Ryan o’n has been solid you know sure down Year from Cedric Mullins but man there’s a lot of good bats in this lineup when it comes to the starting pitching taking a look here they are six overall in starting pitching as of right now Corbin Burns has been an amazing pickup for them however they’ve had a lot of injuries in this rotation sure you still got Grayson Rodriguez but he’s only in his second full season but you know you are missing a lot here with Kyle bradish out for the rest of the Year John means out for the rest of the year Tyler Wells too you know Dean kram are going to be missing some time here I think they need to add something to this Rotation by the trade deadline they have the prospects to get a deal done they absolutely need to go get someone and the bullpen even without fix Batista has been solid six overall as of right now Craig Kimbrell got off to a bit of a bumpy start but he’s gotten himself right 19 saves overall with an RA at 2.37 FIP at a 2.70 13 strikeouts per nine a lot of guys stepping up in this Bullpen I do think they could use another arm in this Bullpen though so that’s another addition I expect by the deadline overall this orio’s team is great I easily think they’re a World Series favorite let’s talk about my Red Sox not a lot of expectations coming into the year but they’ve been a pretty fun team so far exceeding those expectations just a little bit as of right now they have a record of 44 and 39 they’re a game and a half out in the wild card race now the offense is not a barn burner of an offense by any means but they’re getting the job done they’re having guys Step Up jiren Duran can’t believe this guy wasn’t even in the top 10 voting among outfielders for the All-Star game but he’s having himself a heck of a year similar slash line to last year but this guy is hitting a ton of triples he leads Major League Baseball in triples as of right now with 10 has 20 stolen bases along with nine home runs and the defense is much improved the best defense of his career so far in the Outfield Raphael Des having a typical rapael Des kind of a year well will your Brau has really stepped up this year Alex Verdugo went to the Yankees in the offseason will Oru getting that playing time and he has just been fantastic a WRC plus of 124 Tyler O’Neal he’s been uh very solid since coming over from the Cardinals in the offseason providing some power in the middle of the order 16 home runs overall guys like David Hamilton have really stepped up for them Connor Wong has done a bit more with the bat this year so like I said it’s not exactly you know this amazing offense but it’s been pretty solid overall now when it comes to the pitching this was where a lot of people had some concern coming into the year but they have really stepped up on the pitching side of things now with the starting pitching not as great lately but they started off the year really hot and they’ve been top 10 in fangraph wents above replacement since the beginning of the year as of right now they are ninth overall Tanner ha has really stepped up this year having a career year ER at 2.67 FIP at a 2.56 had a bit of a clunker his last time out against the Padres but other than that has just been very good cutter Crawford having a solid year you know Cooper Criswell he signed for a million bucks in the offseason and people were criticizing this move but he’s come over and he’s done a lot of good stuff for the Red Sox this year Brian beo bit of a Down year hoping for a better second half but overall the Red Sox rotation has been solid for the most part I do think they need to add something to this rotation down the stretch but this bullpen in my opinion is actually very underrated their third overall in fangraph wents above replacement at this point Kenley Jansen uh once again having just another solid Kenley Jansen kind of a year 16 saves as of right now but Justin Slayton has been a nice surprise this year brought him over in the off season they basically just plucked him you know for nothing basically and he’s having just a great year he’s pitched 40 Innings out of the bullpen so far ER at a 3.15 FIP at a 2.31 very good you know Brennan bernardito he started the year in the minor leagues and he’s just been doing a lot of good stuff for the Red Sox bullpen uh you know a lot of guys stepping up this year for the Red Sox it’s been a team effort now right now I’m not at the point where I think they’re a legit postseason Contender but I do think they have a chance at a wild card if they get into the postseason if they can acquire something for that rotation another very good starter to go along with Tanner ha and cter Crawford maybe they could be you know a low-key team in the playoffs if they were to get past the Wild Card round but as of right now I think they’re just a wild card team moving on to the Chicago Cubs and what the heck has happened to the Chicago Cubs they got a record of 39 and 46 they’re five games back in the Wild Card race they still got some good players on this team but they need to start turning this around and quick taking a look at the offense it’s been pretty underwhelming so far 19th overall in Major League Baseball now sure they’re getting decent years for Michael Bush Ian ha SI Suzuki but I’m taking a look here at Cody Bellinger Herer Morell Swanson even Peter C Armstrong and they’re having underwhelming years they got to start stepping this up a little bit now starting pitching has been pretty solid 10th overall shy imanaga he’s been the story here in Chicago having himself just an amazing year first year over from Japan Steel’s been solid tyion he’s having a bounce back year Assad has been pretty good too but this Bullpen has not been good 26 overall in Major League Baseball I mean their highest Fang graph WIS above replacement picture in the bullpen is Mark lder Jr and he has an RA of 5.34 you know sure the FIP is 2.81 but when your top guy has an RA in the fives I mean something’s got to change here they got to have some guys start stepping up I mean it didn’t help when adbert Alay went down with an injury you know Hector narice hasn’t really done too much here e a 4.25 FIP and the low five so they need something in this Bullpen and actually getting back to the offense real quick they don’t have one guy slugging above 500 this year their highest slugging percentage among qualified hitters is Si Suzuki with a 454 so they need more offense they need something else in that Bullpen I think right now for the Cubs you just have to put them at okay I want them to be a wild card team I think they can be a wild card team they have the talent to do it but they’re just not getting it going now I think they could make a run in the second half for a wild card spot but until then I just have to go with okay moving on to the Chicago White Socks and yeah they’re going to focus on 2025 and Beyond but they should be very busy at the deadline this year with G crochet one of the top available pieces having a breakout season on the mound in his first year as a starter e r just above a three a FIP at a 2.37 12 and a half strikeouts per nine under two walks per nine under a home run per nine he’s going to be very expensive he has a lot of control left he’s cheap combine that with a great number num that he’s posting and yeah it’s going to cost quite a pretty penny to acquire his services but I expect the team to make a blockbuster for Garett crochet Luis Robert I think is a bit more up in the air having a weird year had the hip injury early on in the year has been playing but he doesn’t fully look like his from last year only hitting 205 with the 279 on base has the slugging at 487 still playing some good defense out there but I wonder if maybe teams wait until the offseason to see how his health is looking for the rest of the year but they got some other pieces Eric fetty can go to the back end of a rotation and help out he’s having a pretty decent year after coming over uh from overseas this past year Paul D young hitting for some power having a decent year when it comes to the slugging of 449 Tommy fam this guy it feels like he gets moved every deadline moving on to the Cincinnati Reds I had high expectations for the Reds coming into the year but they’re underperforming so far 39 and 45 as of right now they’re four and a half back in the Wild Card race they’re not completely out of it but they got to get it going here they’ve had a lot of injuries Matt mlan they haven’t had him for the entire year here Christian and Canario strand had to get surgery on the wrist TJ Friedle he’s had a couple of injuries now so they need to get healthy in my opinion because this offense really needs something their 23rd overall in offense so far this year maybe they can go trade for a bat at the deadline now when it comes to the starting pitching it’s been pretty decent 13th overall hunter green having himself his best year of his career so far Lolo came back this year he’s looking great Monas has been a pretty decent pickup Abbott once again decent so not really concerned with the starting pitching and the bullpen has been really solid fourth overall they had a good Bullpen last year once again getting good production from them this year but they need some offense they need to get healthier I still think they’re a wild card team I can see some people saying they’re okay but for me I still think they can contend for a wild card not many people were sure what to think of the Cleveland Guardians coming into the year last season was an underwhelming year for them Terry Frank cona retired Steven vote became their new manager but here they are in first place in the American League sanal with a the record of 52 and 30 and the offense has been the most surprising part of this team last year the offense stunk but this year their 10th overall in offense on fangraphs David fry has been a huge surprise this year coming out of nowhere hitting 310 with a 168 WRC plus Steven Quan is having a monster season I love Steven Quan hitting 368 a 426 on base a 535 slugging a 177 WRC plus and Jay Ram Jose Ramirez having yet another Jose Ramirez kind of a year hitting 280 a 147 WRC plus 23 home runs at the halfway point through the season getting a lot of guys stepping up including Josh shaylor also has 20 home runs there as well now another surprising part of this team more uh in a negative kind of a way is the starting pitching you know coming into the year people were thinking all right hey this is a young rotation there’s a lot of upside here but they’re 29th overall in starting pitching Tristan McKenzie just got sent down recently uh Shane Bieber remember he got hurt earlier on in the year had to get Tommy John only made two starts you know Logan Allen has not been very good this year you know sure B’s been pretty good uh Lively has been pretty good this year as well but they need something else in this rotation I hope they add something at the deadline however the bullpen has been massive for this team second overall in relief pitching on Fang graphs this year they got four guys here with an ER under two CL having an amazing season 25 saves this Bullpen is absolutely disgusting really big fan of the Guardians this year to me I’m not quite at a World Series favorite I’m at a legit postseason Contender because I need that rotation to be a little bit more beefed up if they could acquire something at the deadline a good piece for that rotation man oh man maybe they can end up being a World Series Contender moving on to the Colorado Rockies not much going on for the Rockies they’re going to be focusing on 2025 and Beyond but they got some trade pieces they can deal by the deadline you got cwang er a 3.78 don’t like the fit very much 4.54 but I could see a team looking to add him for the back half of their rotation maybe even someone like Brandon Rogers has one more year of control after the series having a pretty decent season hitting 284 on base at 327 so maybe this is a guy that could you know help out in the middle infield for a team maybe Ryan McMahon this is a name I see a lot he does have a long contract goes through 2027 so Rockies will probably have to pay a little bit of this contract but he’s having a pretty decent year hitting 269 slugging at a 458 WRC Plus at 112 he has versatility so he could help out some teams out there again the contract does come into question a little bit though but in the end I expect the Rockies to be busy by the deadline another team I was high on coming into the year but they’ve been extremely disappointing are the Detroit Tigers they got a record of 38 and 46 eight games back in the Wild Card the name of the game with the Tigers as they’ve been getting great starting pitching but nothing with the offense 26 overall with the offense the big story Spencer Tolson got sent back down to the minor leagues number one pick from 2020 looked like maybe he figured it out last year but he’s been doing nothing this year hitting just above 200 I mean you could look at Javier bias too he looks completely lost at the plate you’re not really getting anything from anyone in this lineup minus Riley green Carri Carpenter wo Perez have been decent but you’re just not getting anything as a whole from this lineup I’m not sure what has to happen for this lineup to start going but the pitching has been pretty good I me if you take a look at the pitching they third overall with the starting pitching this year TK scoo looking like a sa young ree Olsen Jack flare Jack flare having probably the best year of his career you know Casey M has even been pretty decent when it comes to the bullpen though they’re only 23rd overall so yeah this team just all the way around minus the rotation has been underwhelming I think for the Tigers you know you could put them in the focus on 2025 you know maybe they got a run in them they do have that really good pitching so I think for now I’ll put them in okay but they are very close to having to focus on 2025 if they do end up selling I think Jack flarity would be the big piece to move but for now I’ll go okay moving on to the Houston Astros and for the first couple of months of the Season it looked like they were done it was time to sell time to move on to the next era of Houston Astros baseball but in June they went 17-8 they’ve come roaring back they have a record of 43 and 41 three games back in the division and the Wild Card they’re N9 and one in the their last 10 games they’ve been at the top of Major League Baseball for so long now and it doesn’t look like they’re quite ready to turn the page just yet now with the Astros yeah I was definitely one of those people to say on record I think it’s good for them to sell they have one of the weaker Farm systems in the game so I am going to keep a close eye on the Astros for the next few weeks I think you know if they go on a bit of a losing streak they fall back they still could sell off some pieces but for right now with how they’re doing they’re playing extremely well so yeah I expect the Astros right now to at least stay put maybe even at a piece at the deadline now when it comes to the Astros offensively that has not been the issue this year with Houston their ninth overall when it comes to the offense Kyle Tucker having a great year yordon Alvarez once again having a good year same thing with Jose Altuve getting Good Seasons from Jake Meers Jeremy Peña Alex bregman has been solid after a cold start so nothing wrong with the offense the problem was the pitching they were 29th from a ail until the end of May in starting pitching had an RA of 4.92 but in the last 30 days they’ve been a lot better 16th overall in fangraph war with an ER of 3.50 a big Improvement now they have had some injuries in this rotation Justin Verlander currently on the iil they did lose Christian Javier Lance mccullar Jr still working his way back so they are still looking to get some better health in this rotation so I’m very curious to see what this rotation looks like you know in another month or so once all these guys are healthy and maybe the Astros you know they’re even doing better at that point and also the bullpen was having some issues in the early part of the year haer was blowing some saves Presley and abau weren’t quite as effective as we’ve seen them in the past but they have stabilized e at a 3.72 FIP is a little bit higher but overall Bullpen is doing a lot better than they were at the beginning of the year so for the Astros I mean I think for me like you kind of have to put them as a legit postseason Contender you know based off of what they’ve done for the last several years I do think you could see some people think they’re a wild card team maybe even people think they’re just okay as of right now you know for me personally I’ve just seen this Astros team so good for so long and with how they’ve been playing I think right now you have to put them as a legit postseason Contender if they make it into the playoffs you know that offense is going to bang and if they’re healthy in the playoffs you know you’re going to get some good pitching from framber Valdez Justin Verlander if he’s healthy should be fine and then you’re going to get Lance mccolls Jr back at some point so for right now I’ll go with a legit postseason Contender but let me know what you think Down Below in the comments I’m curious to see where you think the Astros should be on this tier list moving on to the Kansas City Royals they made a lot of moves in the offseason and so far they’re pretty solid they got a record of 47 and 39 they have the third wild card spot as we speak the name of the game with the Royals has been the starting pitching their second overall in starting pitching they’re getting a heck of a year from Seth Lugo he’s 11-2 ER at a 2.17 FIP at a 3.21 Cole Reagan continues to be one of the best birthday gifts of all time they got him last year in the rolled this Chapman trade he’s been amazing erra at a 3.33 FIP at a 2.64 11 strikeouts per nine waka’s been solid this year has missed a couple of starts but overall he’s been good singer Marsh they’ve been great this year you got to love this Royal starting picturing the bullpen hasn’t necessarily been bad but they haven’t been great either you got 14 saves from James M Arthur J shriber Red Sox Legend has been a pretty decent pickup but I feel like they need some more in this Bullpen maybe they can add to it at the deadline but for me the one thing I’m worrying about with the Royals is the offense now I don’t think it’s necessarily bad but I feel like they need another bat in this lineup you know you got Bobby Wick Jr here obviously the star of the show you got Pas quintino you got Salvador Perez but you’re getting a lot of underwhelming seasons from guys like MJ Melendez you know Kyle Isbell isn’t really doing too much Mel Garcia’s providing some speed but not a whole lot with the bat Hunter Renfro was supposed to be a guy that gave you some more pop he’s been pretty slow so far this year so let’s see what they do at the deadline for me right now I’m just thinking a wild card team for the Royals I need to see what they do at the deadline but for me I think the Royals they got that great pitching maybe they could make some noise in the postseason but for right now I’m sticking with them as a wild card team while the angels have been pretty good lately expect them to focus on 2025 and Beyond Mike Trout’s not going to go anywhere he’s been out for most of the year we’ll be back soon but expect the angels to look into the moves for guys like Taylor Ward he’s a guy that can give you some pop from the right side Ren gefo is a guy having a good year can give you some versatility in the infield he’s hitting 317 with a 362 on base this year Tyler Anderson having a bit of a bounceback year you know sure that FIP is a little high at 4.81 but the erra at a 3.03 he can give you some depth at the back end of the rotation someone like Carlos Estus someone that can give you some depth in the bullpen and arm at the back end late in the game so yeah the Angels they’re going to be sellers at the deadline let’s see what they end up doing moving on to the other side of Los Angeles let’s talk about the Dodgers they got a record of 52 and 33 one of the best teams in Major League Baseball what else is there to say they got the best offense in major league baseball right now no surprise show he Otani having another monster season Mookie Betts was having a monster season before going on the I with a fractured wrist he’ll back soon though Freddy Freeman another good year from Freddy Freeman toosa Hernandez has been a really good pickup for them they’ve had some other solid years Will Smith Max Muny he did get hurt has a strained oblique but he was doing pretty well before going on the iil there sure some down years James Atman got sent down to the minor leagues Chris Taylor down year Gavin Lux once again a down year but this offense has been solid you know also shout out to Andy pz he came up recently he’s done some things there so yeah this offense there’s a lot to like like there and the starting pitching has been really solid too eighth overall in major league baseball right now glasnow has proven to be a good pickup he’s healthy you know it’s that’s the one thing with glas now that’s dogged him in his career is the health but no one’s really even thinking about that right now with him having a great year Yos shinobu Yamamoto dealing with a bit of a rotator cuff issue right now but before going on the iil he was fantastic expect him back eventually Gavin Stone having an awesome rookie season this year you’ve had some pretty decent production from guys like Landon n James Paxton’s been okay Walker ber Bobby Miller they’ve been dealing with some stuff this year let’s see if they can produce in the second half of the year but overall got to like what the starting pitching is doing with the Dodgers and the bullpen been solid eighth overall yeah I think we can all agree the Dodgers they’re World Series favorites there’s so much talent on this team moving on to the Marlins they’re going to be sellers at the deadline they’re going to be focusing on 2025 and Beyond but they got a lot of pieces they can move by the trade deadline Tanner Scott the main one he should be a big piece for another team’s Bullpen down the stretch you got a veteran bat in Josh Bell having a pretty decent year Brian De La Cruz having the best year of his career at the plate maybe you could do something with jazz Schism this is a guy that’s going to be pretty costly he has years of control not too expensive and having himself a pretty good year hitting for some power stealing some bases as well Jesus lazardo still up in the air you know he’s been dealing with some injuries this year dealing with a bit of a back issue should be on the iil until after the trade deadline but maybe a team takes a chance on ha Zeus lazardo you know teams are always looking for starting pitching he was definitely going to be a candidate to be moved if he didn’t get hurt so I still think there’s a chance he can get moved but we’ll see if not expect that to be in the off season but yeah the Marlins they’re going to be sellers they’re focusing on the future how about the Milwaukee Brewers I was thinking this year maybe they take a bit of a step back they traded away Corbin Burns they lost Craig Council to the Cubs but nope they’ve been completely fine they have a record of 50 and 35 in first place in the National League Central and the best part about this team this year has been the offense where usually it’s the pitching with this team that gets all the attention both in the rotation and the bullpen but this offense has been fantastic they’re a top 10 offense this year seventh overall on Fang graphs you’re getting big performances here from Bryce terang Joey Ortiz they got in the Corbin Burns trade Chris J yel having a really good year William conas once again having a good year even getting some good production from South Relic Willie adamus as well providing some power good defensive shortstop now a couple of guys having some down years like Jackson curio you were hoping for more out of him reys Hoskins when it comes to the slash line not great he’s giving you some pop though but overall this Brewers offense has been great but when we’re looking at this rotation I think they need something else in this [Music] rotation and they rank in the bottom five in Major League basball when it comes to fangraph war with the starting pitching now Freddy peral has been fantastic but they need something else here you know sure Colin rehea Tobias Myers they’ve been decent this year but Freddy perala he needs a number two behind him maybe someone like Luis srino if the Mets were to sell who knows maybe the Brewers could Pony up for someone like gar crochet we’ll see but they need something in here and the bullpen believe it or not the bullpen has actually been pretty good this year even without Devin Williams and he’s starting to make his way back so hey I like this Brewers team I think they just need one more starting picture though I think you have to put them into to the legit postseason Contender tier moving on to the Minnesota Twins they have a solid record of 47 and 37 they’re six back in the division but they have the second wild card as we speak they’ve been a bit hot and cold this year if we take a look their longest winning streak was 12 games but they’ve also had a losing streak of seven games they’ve been a bit more stable lately though and a big part of that has been because of the offense they’re eighth overall in offense this year so far Carlos kareah is quietly having himself a good year has a 14 9 WRC plus hitting 311 a 502 slugging getting good production from guys like Willie Castro Jose Miranda Ryan Jeffers Carlos Santana has been producing as well but Byron buckton he has been red hot lately when this guy’s healthy he can do some serious damage so you’ve had some other guys stepping up some other guys having some down years you know Alex carola you were hoping for a little bit more out of him Edward Julian has taking a bit of a step back this year but overall they got some pretty solid bats now when it comes to to the starting pitching that’s also been pretty solid I had my questions coming into the year Sunny gray going to the Cardinal so I was wondering if they were going to take a bit of a step back in that department but nope 11th overall now the ER it’s a 4.39 but the FIP is a 3.98 so they’re pitching better than what the stat sheet shows and one example of that is their Ace Pablo Lopez e re near a five but the FIP at a 3.90 still keeping the walks down to a minimum under two per nine he’s striking out 10 and a half per nine I love Pablo Lopez I think he’ll be fine Joe Ryan he’s been solid this year know bayy obber he’s been good there siman Woods Richardson has come up and he’s been pretty good for the most part then the bullpen and taking a look here they ninth overall so across the board here they’re top 10 in each of the categories and if we take a look at the defense they’re also a top 10 team when it comes to the defense eighth overall so they’re just a solid team across the board I just want to see a bit less of the hot and cold I’ll go legit postseason Contender as of right now when it comes to the twins in the postseason you know how many times now have we seen them make it you know yeah they got to the division round last year but they just can never seem to make it past the division round so you know maybe this year could be a little different we’ll see I could see some people thinking they’re just a wild card team but I think they’re a little bit better than a wild card team I think you could probably go somewhere in the middle but for now I’ll go legit postseason Contender how about the New York Mets what a wackadoodle of a season the Mets have been having they went 9 and9 19 in May then Grimace showed up they got red hot josea a glacius had a concert what the heck is going on here in Queens and all of a sudden they’re back to 500 41 and 41 they’re a game and a half back of the third wild card spot and a big part of this has been the offense this offense has been really good six overall in major league baseball right now I mean look at all of the production here nmo leading the way you got JD Martinez Mark ventos is broken out this year Pete Alonzo providing the power that he always does Francisco Lindor was a little cold to the bat to start things off but he’s heated up as of late Alvarez he’s been fine he has missed a little bit of time but has done well when he’s been playing even Starling Marte has been turning it around a little bit this year Bader he’s been providing some production this offense has had a lot of bats stepping up for them now the starting pitching I’m a little worried about the starting pitching 25th overall as of right now you got Luis srino having himself quite a bounceback year so so far through 16 starts ER at a 3.42 FIP at a 3.98 uh strikeouts you know they are a bit down from his career Norms but he’s not walking a lot of guys he’s keeping the ball in the yard if the Mets do fall off I would expect Luis srino to be a big trade piece by the deadline uh manah has been pretty good for them ER right below a four along with the FIP uh you know guys like McGill you know canana they’ve been giving some Innings but they need something else if the Mets do thrust themselves into a wild card spot and they turned into buyers but the deadline I think they should go after something for the rotation and when it comes to the bullpen it’s been you know up and down right Edwin Diaz had a a pretty bad start to the year he’s gotten himself a bit more stabilized you know minus the suspension with the forign substance but overall Mets Bullpen has been pretty good 12th overall as of right now Reed Garrett has stepped up in a big way for them this year he’s been a good story e re just above a three FIP at a 3. 41 13 and 1 half strikeouts per nine getting some pretty decent production from other guys you know so the Mets yeah offense I mean this team has been really swinging the bats here got to love what you’re seeing there I just wonder about the pitching with the Mets I think they’re probably somewhere between a wild card team and okay I mean hey because of Grimace you know the Jose a glacius concert I’m feeling good about the Mets at this point who knows what we see with the Mets next week I don’t know but for right now I think they have a chance at a wild card let’s see how they do over the next couple of weeks moving on to the Bronx let’s talk about the Yankees they’ve had a very good season up to this point not playing as crisp over the last couple of weeks but in my opinion still one of the best teams in Major League Baseball they got a record of 54 and 32 tied for first place in the American League East at the time of this recording and the big story with the Yankees this year has been the combination of aing jug and Juan stto you basically have a modern day Mickey Mano rogerz in your lineup these two have been Bonkers for the Yankees the Yankees offense as of right now third overall in Major League Baseball Aaron jge has 31 home runs through 84 games he could very well have another 60 home run season this guy’s out of this world Juan stto what a pickup he’s been he’s completely changed the culture for the Yankees this year he has a 185 WRC plus just amazing numbers and Jean Carlos Stan hey he’s having a bit of a bounceback season this year bringing the power 18 home runs a 492 slugging Anthony vulpi that’s flash line is a little better from last year he’s giving you some speed as well along with some good defense in the field you know sure you would like a little bit more out of guys like laber Torres and DJ lameu you know Verdugo he’s come over to the Yankees this year he’s done a little bit he’s been a bit cold as of late you know Grisham has given you a couple of things you know so maybe they could get another bat for this L maybe something for the infield I could I could see maybe someone with some versatility that can move around for the Yankees Maybe we’ll see by the deadline but I think for the Yankees rotation I don’t think you need to do all that much their 15th overall as of right now you know they’ve had a pretty solid rotation for the most part this year and gar Cole just came back recently you know he’s he’s shown some Rust in the first few starts but I think he’s going to be fine we all know what gar Cole can do uh Lu heel he’s at a breakout year this year so I expect him to keep it going along with you know guys like Carlos rodon he’s having a bit of a bounceback year he has struggled in the last few starts e re is up to a 4.42 so let’s see if he can get it back on track here Nester Cortez he’s been pretty solid for the most part you know strowman he’s been a pretty decent pickup for the most part I think the Yankees rotation overall is fine I think they could add something to this Bullpen you know when I’m taking a look at Caleb Ferguson here you know Lefty that they brought over from the Dodgers he hasn’t been as effective so maybe someone like Tanner Scott could be a pickup for the Yankees this year give that Bullpen a bit of a boost but overall I think this Yankees team is extremely solid they’ll be absolutely dangerous in the postseason if they make it there uh for me they are a World Series favorite moving on to the Oakland A’s they were fun in the first few weeks of the season but they’ve come back down to earth since then so yeah they’re going to be paying attention to 2025 and Beyond but one big name to pay attention to by the trade deadline is Mason Miller he’s been absolutely disgusting as their closer this year er a 1.96 F at a 1.80 15 strikeouts per nine he has been absolutely dominant combine that with the fact that he’s in his rookie season has a ton of control he’s not making much money it’s going to cost quite a pretty penny to acquire his Services I wonder if Oakland ends up trading him or they just hang on to him but if a team were to trade for him they would have him as a reliever for this year and next year they could turn him back into a starter but Mason Miller he’s a big arm to pay attention to you also got a bat like Brent Rooker who’s having himself a really solid season has a slugging over five hungri while hitting 261 with 15 home runs uh someone like Lucas IG has been pretty good in the bullpen he could be a setup guy for a team down the stretch and maybe even someone like Miguel andar could be someone that could help a team but yeah Oakland they’re focusing on the future they got Las Vegas in their sights down the road moving on to the Philadelphia Phillies and if you’re looking for one of the most complete teams in Major League Baseball look no further than the Philadelphia Phillies they got the best record in Major League Baseball as of right now when it comes to the offense they’re fifth overall they’re getting some really productive years out of guys like Bryce Harper of course Kyle schwarber Trey Turner got hurt there for a little bit but he’s back he’s hitting well Alec bow having himself a breakout year now sure you’re getting some down years from guys like Nick castios Johan Rojas but the other guys are stepping up in such a big way maybe they could make a move at the deadline for someone like a Luis Robert who could give them an offensive upgrade in center field but when it comes to the pitching my goodness this starting pitching has been so good for the Phillies first overall in Major League Baseball I mean Christopher Sanchez you know I’m not even going to talk about Zack Wheeler Aaron Nola to start things off Sanchez has been absolutely amazing he’s actually the leader in fangraph wins above replacement when it comes to the starting pitching with the Phillies just got that contract extension and that’s looking like money well spent at this point he’s having a great year even Rangers Suarez is just having an amazing year I mean it’s funny that you know you know about wheeler and Nola but those guys aren’t even getting the most attention it’s Sanchez and Suarez this year for the Phillies so they have a complete rotation as of right now and even Spencer Turnbull has stepped up for them this year really excited to see what this rotation can do in the postseason and when it comes to the bullpen their first overall there as well I mean my goodness look at some of the years these guys are having they got three guys with an ER in the ones Hoffman STM and kirking I mean my goodness these guys are just nasty and and that doesn’t even include Jose Alvarado who’s leading the team in saves with 12 having himself a solid year I wonder if maybe they could add something for this Bullpen I would like for them to add like a you know some kind of a weapon for this Bullpen like a Checkmate kind of a move I don’t think you necessarily need to do that but it would be fun to see if they do make a move like that I could see possibly an upgrade in center field Johan roas I do like the glove there he does have the speed as well but the Phillies I mean of course yeah this team they are a World Series favorite I would not be surprised to see them in the World Series in October on to the Pittsburgh Pirates and as right now they have a record of 40 and 44 they’re three and a half games back in the Wild Card race but the story with the Pirates this year has been Paul SK the Paul SK show has been electrifying taking a look at the Pirates starting pitching over the last 30 days their seventh overall Paul SK like I said he’s been having an amazing start to this year I mean it was inevitable that this guy was going to come up and dominate so far has an RA of 2.06 a FIP of 2.61 12 strikeouts per nine under two walks per nine he’s been amazing but it’s not just Paul skes it’s Jared Jones too he’s been amazing in his rookie season E A 3.66 fi at a 3.82 almost 10 strikeouts per nine keeping the walks at a healthy rate of 2.6 Mitch Keller can’t forget about Mitch Keller of course he’s having also a very good season e in the mid threes FIP at a 3.63 he’s been fantastic these guys have been just putting together solid performances in the rotation as for the bullpen that’s been pretty solid for the most part this year David Bednar got off to a bit of a bumpy start but he got it together after that first month right now he’s on the iil with a strain oblique but he’ll be back eventually they’re getting good years from RIS Chapman Colin Holderman so I think for the bullpen it’s fine for the most part problem with the Pirates it’s the offense these guys are just having a tough time offensively this year you know sure Brian Reynolds having himself a pretty good year but no one else really seems to be stepping up you know Nick Gonzalez came up not too long ago he’s he’s provided a little bit of something but O’Neal Cruz he’s been bit underwhelming this year he’s not giving you as much pop as you would think he would so they need something else in this lineup you know when you take a look at this team offensively their 27th overall I feel like they need something I mean they can pitch but they got to get some bats going here I think with the Pirates if maybe they could add a bat or two by the deadline Luis Robert in my opinion would be the dream scenario maybe you could do something like a Taylor Ward maybe something like a Brent Rooker there something to help get that offense going just a little bit for them to go on a run because you know they’re going to pitch I think they could maybe get themselves you know a little closer to this wild card picture for right now you know I do like a lot of what’s going on with the Pirates on the picturing side of things but they need offense so for right now I’m just going to say okay moving on to the San Diego Padres they have the third wild card spot as we speak they’re trying to fend off some of these other teams trying to claw their way back in but I like this pogay team sure maybe that record doesn’t look amazing but I think this team is better than what the record shows if we take a look at the offense they ranked sixth overall in Major League Baseball they’re getting a lot of guys stepping up for them this year jerkson profar how about him having himself a Dandy of a year no one saw this coming hitting 311 with a 404 on base a 472 slugging he’s been fantastic Fernando tatis Jr he’s hurt as of right now with the leg injury but he’s been having a great year he’ll be back eventually after the All-Star break Jackson Merill having a great rookie year just saw him play my Red Sox not too long ago he looked fantastic in that series Jake cronenworth having a bounce back year Luis arise has been a great pickup for them man Mado yeah the numbers are a little down but for the most part he’s been solid he was hitting for some power at Fenway Park not too long ago Xander Bogart’s you know disappointing year he got hurt with a shoulder injury he looks like he’s working his way back let’s see if he can put up some better numbers when he comes back but overall I like this offense a lot I think it’s pretty underrated and if we take a look at the pitching now middle of the road when it comes to the pitching they’ve been getting some injuries with darish and Musgrove they should be back eventually but they’re getting really good Seasons from Dylan CE Matt Waldren Michael King those guys have been carrying that rotation there so I like that and the bullpen for the most part has been pretty solid uh getting good years out of Suarez he had a pretty down year last year he’s really stepped up in a big way this year getting decent years from Estrada morahan there so I like this pgr team overall I I just love this offense I think this is an offense that could give a lot of problems in the postseason and when you take a look at some of the pitching that they have Dylan CE I mean this guy’s stuff is nasty get darish back healthy Musgrove has shown you what he can do and then you got a couple other guys there you know like King like Waldren I think this pgr team could be pretty dangerous in the postseason sure maybe that record doesn’t look amazing but I’m going to go with go with a legit postseason Contender I think they can cause some problems in the postseason if they make it there on to the San Francisco Giants and after a very busy off season they’ve been pretty underwhelming so far a record of 42 and 44 2 and a half back in the Wild Card race they’re not out of it by any means but they got to get this going here a little bit now the offense has been pretty solid for the most part 12th overall they’re getting a great year from Elliot Ramos man oh man has he stepped up in a big way slugging 524 with 11 home runs while hitting 298 154 WRC plus Lamont Way Jr has been solid for the most part Patrick Bailey has really stepped up with the bat this year but I feel like they need a little bit more pop in this lineup you know Chapman he’s hitting for a little bit of power but nothing that’s going to be gamechanging by any means Jorge cair he’s picked it up a little bit lately he was the one that was supposed to really bring that power so let’s see if he can keep it going but I feel like this lineup needs something now as for the pitching it’s been pretty underwhelming here 24th overall e r a 4.52 the FIP is a little bit better at 4.05 but you know when you’re looking at this rotation that’s been decimated by injuries Blake Snell I mean he was not good before going on the I let’s see if he can get it back together after his rehab assignment here but you know Logan Webb he can’t do it all by himself you know you’re getting Jordan Hicks he’s been pretty decent this year but he’s not going very deep into games they need some other guys here to really pick up the slack so hopefully Blake Snell can pick it up when he comes back Robbie Ray he’s going to be back eventually so let’s see what this rotation looks like in the second half and Bullpen I think it’s been pretty solid it’s pretty middle of the road as of right now but they’re getting a lot of good performances from the Rogers Brothers Deval so I’m not too worried about this Bullpen but overall with the Giants I just feel like they need something else they need a little bit more juice for right now I’m just going to go as a wild card team I think they definitely could go on a run in the second half once they start getting some of these guys back from the I we’ll see but for right now I’m just going to stick with wild card team moving on to the Seattle Mariners and it’s been a week weird year for the Mariners when you take a look at the standings you might be thinking all right they’re doing okay they got a record of 47 and 40 but they’re not inspiring that much joy and the big part of that is due to a weak offense they’re only 22nd overall in offense on the year and actually in the last couple of weeks they’re only 29th overall I mean when your best hitter has a 115 WRC plus you’re having some issues here you know Luke grayley sure he’s done a couple of things Dylan Moore he’s only hitting 209 but he’s done some other things you know Josh Roos he’s had his moments this year but they’re having a lot of guys struggling Julio Rodriguez most notably has an 82 WRC plus like what the heck happened here you know Mitch hanigar Mitch Garver they brought them in in the offseason they’re having down years Jorge palano having a down year so they’re having a lot of issues right now and with Julio Rodriguez it looks like the big issue with him is how he’s performing against off speed and breaking pictures if you take a look last year he had a 137 WRC Plus against sliders but this year it’s down to a 63 you know against change UPS this year it’s only a 28 where last year it was a 103 against the Cutters last year he had a 139 WRC plus and this year it’s down to a 77 you know his performance against curve balls is down too from a 121 to a 50 so it looks like pictures are making the adjustments against Julio Rodriguez so he needs to make those adjustments going into the second half let’s see if he can figure it out we all know what he can do when he’s at the top of his game now when it comes to the Mariners pitching yeah this team can absolutely pitch their fourth overall in starting pitching you don’t got to worry about this you got Kirby Gilbert Castillo Miller woo yeah you have a deep rotation there when you get to the postseason this team can absolutely pitch with the best of them you don’t have to worry about that and the bullpen has been pretty solid for the most part 14th overall in fangraph wins above replacement e at 3.83 FIP is a little bit better at 3.77 not worried about the pitching at all when it comes to the Mariners but yeah I’m worried about this offense you know I don’t know I don’t know what to think here you know sure pitching and defense wins championships at the end of the day but you got to hit a little bit too so right now with the Mariners I’m sort of in the Middle where if you look at this offense it’s just really bad right now and maybe they can figure this out in the second half maybe they can get it going until then I can only see the Mariners being a wild card team as this point and when I say wild card team I don’t necessarily mean they’re going to win a wild card I more mean where you know can they get past the Wild Card round in the playoffs I don’t know if they have the bats capable enough of getting past that round as of right now as I sit here at my desk so Mariners fans don’t you get grumpy with me I’m just saying until I see that progression with the bats that’s just how I’m feeling right now yeah they can pitch but will they be able to hit moving on to the St Louis Cardinals they’re playing pretty well lately they have a record of 44 and 40 they have the second wild card spot I like this Cardinals team I think they’re pretty balanced overall I would like to see a bit more out of this offense 16th overall you know sure you’re getting good production from Wilson conas burlson Donovan has stepped up this year after a down year last year with injuries you know Mason win he’s been putting on a pretty good show this year he’s hitting 288 has a 113 WRC plus but I need these other guys to start stepping up you know noan arado a 98 WRC plus Paul gold Schmid you know he’s a couple of moments he’s been a little better over the last month or so but still you want that number to be a bit higher there you know Jordan Walker people were hoping he was going to come up this year and do some things but he’s back down in the minor leagues now so I think you can see more from this offense in the second half but right now it’s pretty middle of the road when it comes to the starting pitching also middle of the road 15th overall Sunny Gray he’s been a good pickup this year having a solid season FIP at a 2.57 good amount of strikeouts there Lance Lynn Kyle Gibson these guys are providing some good veteran Innings just like I thought they would I liked those pickups in the off season you know michelas ra looks High FIP is a little bit better there and then Andre Palante he’s been pretty solid in a few starts here so you know starting pitching I think is fine for the most part also the bullpen 12th overall you know they’re getting some decent production there good ER good FIP there you know I like this Cardinals team I just wonder is it going to be enough to get past the Wild Card round that’s kind of where I’m at right now this Cardinals team I need to see a bit more offense there I like the pitching for the most part I think maybe it could be a little bit better but I think it’s good enough for now I just need to see a bit more with the bats with the Cardinals on to the Tampa Bay Rays they’ve been playing a little bit better as of late but coming into the year I wasn’t sure what to think of this team wander Franco got into all that nonsense in the offseason they traded Tyler glaz now to the Dodgers so if there was ever a year to pick against the Rays it would be this year but they always find a way to prove you wrong they always find a way to get to the postseason but as of right now they’re only 43 and 42 they’re three games back in the wild card you can never count the Rays out but I don’t know I’m not sure what to think of this team offensively they’re fine 14th overall they’re getting the job done the Rays always seem to find a way to get the job done offensively isach pedus having himself a good year Brandon Lao you know yandi Diaz he’s been picking it up lately you know Jose Siri he’s had some power this year so yeah I’m not really worried about this offense Randy Rosara though you know I’m not sure what’s going on with him he’s definitely lacking this year he’s hitting under 200 still giving you some pop and some speed but it’s not the same Randy Rosara that we’ve seen in the past but overall I’m fine with this offense you know starting pitching you know it’s 20th overall like I said they traded away Tyler glaz now I feel like they’re lacking that Ace now sure Taj Bradley he’s been picturing out of his mind over the last month he’s been really good you know Zack L effin you know they’re fine but they’re more in my opinion more middle of the rotation kind of gu Ryan pepio I definitely think he can have a bright future just don’t think he’s quite there just yet so the rotation I think is fine but it’s the bullpen that’s really been lagging this year that’s the one thing with the Rays if they didn’t have the starting pitching you knew that Bullpen could come in and shut things down but this year their 29th overall it’s been a little bit better as of late but it’s still not that same Bullpen that we’ve seen with the Rays as of right now I’m just going to go okay for the Rays I mean knowing me that’s probably going to come back and F me they always seem to find a way to get there we’ll see but I don’t know I’m not feeling that same Mojo with the Rays so far this year moving on to the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers and it looks like they’re going through the typical World Series hangover they got a record of 39 and 46 seven back in the Wild Card race a lot of injuries this year a lot of guys underperforming now there’s still a lot of Talent on this team I think they could go on a run in the second half I’m not quite sure though when it comes to the offense they’re only 21st on the year it’s not that same offense that was dumping last year a lot of guys underperforming like I said they’ve had injuries to guys like Evan Carter Josh Young you know taking a look here at some of the numbers Corey Seager still putting up okay numbers but it’s not the same Cory Seager we saw last year you know same thing with Marcus semian ad does Garcia they’ve been a little down offensively this year now Josh Smith he’s really putting together himself a good season this year hitting 291 with a 139 WRC plus you know Nate low he’s been pretty solid for the most part this year white Lang starting to come on recently I have a lot of high hopes for Wyatt Langford had the cycle not too long ago I think he’s going to be a monster at some point just don’t think he’s quite there just yet but yeah this offense it’s just not performing like people thought they would and when it comes to the pitching their 18th overall they’ve had injuries there as well they just got Max sherzer back not too long ago Jacob deg Grom uh could be coming up here soon excited for that but you know overall they’re just not getting great starting pitching you know Jean Gray Evol Heeney you know sure you know they’re giving you kind of middle of the rotation kind of stuff but they’re lacking that Ace right now and when it comes to the bullpen it’s not amazing 20th overall but they’ve had a couple of guys Step Up Kirby Yates having himself a Renaissance of a year David Robertson he’s been solid they need other guys to start stepping up in this Bullpen I don’t know when it comes to the Rangers I’m thinking okay for right now but I think they’re getting pretty close to this territory here of just having to focus on next year but for now I’ll go with okay I think they are cap AP of some kind of a run in the second half so I’ll stay put for here moving on to the Toronto Blue Jays and coming into the year I saw some fatigue with this team you know not too long ago people were picking the Blue Jays to make it to the World Series and this past off season they didn’t do all that much you know they went after sh Otani but then the guy from Shark Tank came off the plane and then after that they only added Justin Turner Isaiah ker FFA they didn’t improve all that much in the offseason so I’m not surprised to see some regression here you know as of right now they’re 39 and4 467 back in the Wild Card race you know very similar team of the Texas Rangers just underperforming I’ll get to my difference between the two teams in just a second but with the Blue Jays the offense has been pretty hot as of late their 17th overall Vlad Jr he’s getting back or starting to get back to some of those numbers that we saw in 2021 I wouldn’t say quite at that level but he has been really good hitting 298 slugging up to a 472 13 home runs a 144 WRC plus you know Spencer Horwitz came up not too long ago and he’s been really productive and actually ikf you know I was just mentioning him a second ago as an offseason additionally but he’s actually been pretty good for the Blue Jays hitting 292 a 117 WRC plus you know Turner he was pretty hot in the early going there but he’s cooled off some Davis Schneider hasn’t done as much as I thought he would this year so yeah I don’t know just a lot of under performances you know guys like George Springer as well he’s been a little hot lately but just you know look at these numbers here an 88 r c plus I mean you’re paying this guy 25 million bucks a year and that’s the kind of production you’re getting and then B bashet of course you know this guy’s one of the most consistent hitters over the last several years and he’s having his worst year at the plate so far a 74 WRC plus you know people are thinking maybe this guy can get traded the Dodgers maybe the Guardians and maybe they can get him turned around I don’t know I wonder if he ends up just staying because these numbers are just that bad and you’re going to have to give up quite a bit to get Bob bashet so I don’t know just the offense you know sure they’ve been hot lately but just not really performing like they should be and when it comes to the starting pitching I mean they’ve been lacking in the starting pitching 19th overall Kevin Gosman their Ace is having a really bad year erra at 4.75 sure the FIP is better but it’s not the same Kevin Gosman that we’ve seen in the past you know coming into the year there are some issues with the shoulder so I’m wondering if if it’s just taking him some time to really get going here I don’t know uh but you know Chris Basset Kikuchi they’ve been fine you know Brios that FIP is above a five I don’t know he’s always had these up and down years uh I don’t know I’m just you know monoa obviously you know he’s out for the rest of the year you know so this rotation it’s fine I just feel like they’re really lacking that thump at the top of it and that’s where Kevin Gosman he’s been really lacking here this year and the bullpen it’s been a really bad Bullpen 30th overall in Major League Baseball they’ve had some injuries when it comes to the differences with the blue jays and the Rangers I’m a little bit more optimistic about the Rangers chances of going on a run because they’re going to be getting some key guys back like Jacob deg Grom in the second half Max sherzer already came back let’s have him get a couple more starts under his belt and let’s see what he can do down the stretch you know someone like Evan Carter he came out he burst onto the scene last year he’s been dealing with some back stuff let’s see what he looks like when he gets back I don’t know I’m just not feeling the same optimism with the Blue Jays I feel like they are just what they are at this point I’m not a fan of the bullpen they’re dead last and fangraph wins above replacement they’re just not getting the job done I don’t know they just seem like a team that’s just never clicking I’m going to go focus on 2025 and again I think you can make the argument for the Rangers to be here too but I’m going to see you know what they look like in the second half once they get some of these guys back but for the Blue Jays I don’t know I’m just not feeling it with them this year and last but not least we got the Washington Nationals and surprisingly enough they were hanging around the wild card picture for a while there but now they’re starting to come back down to earth they got a record of 39 and 46 they’re 2-8 in their last 10 games they’ve lost their last three games so yeah I don’t think the Nationals quite have it this year and the big issue has been the offense I mean they got some speed but they just don’t have enough impact bats in my opinion only 25th in offense on the year CJ Abrams having a breakout year has a 139 WRC plus 13 homers 14 stolen bases so yeah love what he’s been doing Jesse Winker having a Renaissance of a year here 374 on base that’s really good but after that they’re not getting a whole lot of production here I mean they only got one guy with over 10 home runs and that’s CJ Abrams so I don’t know I just don’t think the Nationals have enough bats when it comes to the pitching though they’ve been getting great starting pitching even without Josiah Gray he’s been injured for most of the year but McKenzie Gore finally starting to show you the potential he has a FIP at a 2.99 10 and a half strikeouts per Nine Jake Irving Trevor Williams michell Parker these guys have been solid the bullpen has been pretty good too 10th overall when it comes to the bullpen you know you got finegan with over 20 saves this year Hunter Harvey has a better FIP compared to the ER Dylan floro has actually been pretty decent this year so yeah they’re getting pitching they’re kind of like the Seattle Mariners light version right the Mariners they got that great pitching the Nationals not quite as good with the pitching but still they’re getting the job done there they just can’t really hit right so the Nationals yeah don’t think they’re really there I think they should just focus on 2025 but you know what I’ll give him a little something I’ll go okay for the Nationals I do think eventually in the next month or so you’ll probably see them drop down to here but I’ll go okay here I’m in a good mood but let me know your thoughts on this if you made it all the way to the end here I appreciate you thank you for that I know this was a long one today but kind of want chance of maybe getting to the World Series being a threat in the postseason let me know all of your thoughts down below but everyone that’s all I got for right now if you can the way out hit that The Tigers do not have a run in them. The offense is dead
I think the reds are in focus on 2024, with mclain likley to come back in august which is too little to late and Encarnacion out for the year, I think they have a very quiet deadline and focus on the #2 pick and gear up for next year, if they somehow make the wildcard, i think they're like the marlins last year and get overpowered. All coming from a Reds fan
My Mets keep confusing me. The bats are there, and the starting pitching. But my younger sister could pitch better than our bullpen
I think the jays are closer to the teams in the OK tier, but they definitely need to focus on 2025. They should sell off the pending free agents and let the prospects play the last 2 months. The need to figure out who they can build around, and who they need to replace to be a 90+ win team next year.
as an angels fan im just hoping we actually sell some guys and dont sit around like idiots
Take Atlanta out of the WS contenders. They aren't doing anything
Praying my dbacks can make the turn before it’s too late, cuz man has this starting rotation been frustrating to watch
Screaming, crying, throwing up Luke Raley and Dylan Moore being the best 2 hitters on my Ners
My Mariners make me depressed. Somehow still in 1st, I’ll take it
I think you’re selling Austin Riley short Robbie. He’s really picked it up since the middle of June. He’s on fire. I think he’s ack to his usual self.
Cubs are donzo. This is one of the worst cubs team I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying a lot. Just gotta watch one of our games. It’s full of mediocre to average players. Put us on focus on 2025 we’re sellers
Go Sox!
Your assessment of the mariners is so accurate it’s upsetting… no one can hit the ball and we just love striking out. We need the offense to come alive, idk how tho
I was about to comment on how the Padres bullpen needs some work but apparently from these other comments, EVERYONE'S bullpen needs work lol
The Mets I think with how we are could go in all 5 categories
Do u think mets will buy a 3 or 4 pitcher or someone big because of our prospect depth
The Astros are World Series Contenders every year for 8 straight years. If you think the Astros are going to sell you are dumber than you look.
With Elly De La Cruz on the Reds, anything’s possible. Gonna be a scary team to deal with for years to come
