When should you buy new fitted golf clubs?

when should you get fitted golf clubs I was at the driving range in Sarasota Florida the other day when I started talking to this guy who said he was going to go get fitted for golf clubs and buy brand new ones and I was looking at his current golf clubs he showed me them to me and they were really old and offbrand I suggested to him that maybe he doesn’t need to go buy brand new fitted golf clubs then maybe he could just upgrade to better used golf clubs I wasn’t trying to sell him my own used golf clubs he I know he was going to a certain store and I said at that store asked them maybe you can just get better used golf clothes maybe you’re better off doing that and I think that’s what a lot of people can do even if you’re tall or short like I’m 6′ one I wouldn’t do well playing with the standard length golf clubs but I have longer than standard length golf clubs
