Rickie Fowler Debuts Sandwich As He Defends Rocket Mortgage Classic

Rickie Fowler spoke to the media at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, where he was asked:

-Talk about the significance of your win here last year
– Introducing the Rick’s Pick sandwich

yeah obviously it was a a nice week and a big relief after the the few years leading up to it um looking forward to being back and picking up where we left off last year haven’t played quite that well since then so um yeah it’ be nice to kind of get things going again this week here at Rocket but last year we started a tradition of honoring our champion with a special menu concession item that’s available for sale all week and uh we’ve been working behind your back a little bit with some people you know pretty well and our partners at Forte Bellinger Chef Colin here uh to create a special menu item for you for the week and so I’ll let Chef tell you a little bit about what we got for you and then you give it a try so we worked with uh your wife Allison and your team to create what we call the Rick’s pick and it’s on a Brio bun with B’s head cage and turkey uh shredded lettuce pickles peppercinis mayonnaise and then it has vinegar oil and oregano on it as well so not not crazy we didn’t want to overthink it you know so I know sandwiches are one of your favorite foods so dig in let us know how you think yeah appreciate it this is uh one of my standard kind of go to orders for lunch back home um whether it’s at the course or local sandwich shop so hopefully fans here will be able to enjoy a little bit okay
