so today we’ve got our wedge build for Tom Valiant our rookie player on the DP tour it’s an S400 shaft a BCT Golf Pride grit we are doing a custom low bounce grind on his lob wed he does this because of his angle of attack and how he likes to play the shots around the greens with an open face custom stamping up the head for Tom just simple ands in blue for France colors stamp the head first stamping is very difficult and you don’t want to mess it up once the club’s fully built but we get this one spot on and we move on to the grinding where we’ve got custom grind here so I mark it out with a Sharpie pen first he actually has some trailing Edge relief and some heel and toe relief um and that’s because he likes to face to sit a little bit open and he plays a lot of open face shots and again to accommodate for his angle of attack he’s a little bit more shallow on it and then we’re going to work on it on the blue belt switch it over to the red belt to polish and finish up the grind get rid of any imperfections okay so we’re putting the club head in The Loft and line machine here we’re going to pre-end this golf head before it’s built so Tom actually likes it a little bit stronger at 58 de of lot this makes the club sit a little bit squarer and actually take some bounce off and Li angle Tom’s a little bit flatter just to accommodate for his angle of attack and delivery so we’re marking the length out there Tom’s standard length just cutting it there to length and then we’re going to put the grip on he’s actually two layers of tape he likes it a little bit thicker under the hand hands standard length plenty of fluid so we make sure we get that grip on nice and straight first time he’s actually logoed down now we’re using the tip weight here to swing weight the golf club obviously we need to add a little bit of extra weight after grinding some of the material off we then glue that to weight allowing half a gram of glue for swing weight going to line that up we finish it up and buff it on the feral belt wipe it with some acetone to get it looking brand new and there we have it Tom valant freshwood
