have caught the eye and announced frankly not good enough Mr Pelle has packed his bags at Hall FC he’s gone um not worked out this one this is a this has been a shocker for the Black and Whites has it it has just as it seemed to be getting back on board as well um you know great win against Leeds at the weekend yeah um and you know Tony Smith hinted at this in his um when he was aedit on Saturday I think it was just afterwards when he said and how true this is I don’t know and again not meaning to be disrespectful but saying a lot of players don’t like to settle in Hull they don’t want to live in Hull you know and and for Pelle I think he had a real real Rocky start to his Super League career um we know the tail of the tape on that one and yeah it’s a shame for hall because they they just seem to have steadied the [ __ ] and you know it’s it’s he’s uh he said aliv diry indeed he has he’s out there and yeah you’re right I mean you know one yellow one read in eight he only made eight appearances out the 14 rounds for them and and to be fair you know for a man of his size um you know he averag well less than 100 meters a carry you know don’t sorry don’t he AAG 9.7 meters of carry less than 100 a game is what I mean you know just the one trying his time um we we’re massive fans of Tony Smith but if Tony had his fingerprints on that signing it wasn’t a good one was it no it wasn’t it wasn’t um and I think the hall fans will be um will be very very disappointed in that what you laughing at oh Phil Webster good evening to Phil Simon gricks thinks FC can make top six and this week so I’m want to say to you what I said to the lads at 36 years of age Masters goes through and Ryan all goes coast to coast and very very nearly very very nearly gets him I mean at 36 you know you you’d have forgiven the man for you know getting up get getting out of De CH at that point smoking a you would but you know the goty the guy shows nothing but 100% commitment whenever he plays um and has played through the pain Barry on many an occasion um and ab yeah as as bazer says he is a machine yeah he’s like he’s like the Terminator he doesn’t seem to tire no um and you know he’s kind of in the Twilight of his career now um but I’m glad I am glad he’s I’m glad he’s got the record I’m glad he’s broken it like you say if he had another two years he probably could have retired two seasons ago and and put his feet up and smoke that chero absolutely absolutely you know will he will he retire at the end of this season now um will he go you know as all good players do and go to Catalan to retire I don’t know no we’ll have to wait and see well he’s going to stay leads isn’t he and he’s gonna see how he’s cre go on with coaching staff Callum Cala as a super league mean this this might seem pretty harsh but you know Paul Vaughn uh at this moment in time last year he was doing 100 meters for fun he’s not done 100 meters since London away where he did over 200 he’s averaging around 60 a game which is well well actually a little bit higher than that around about 70 uh but that’s well off where he was in 2023 Warrington now for me this is a Crossroads moment it really really is uh Hall FC good win at the weekend they’ll be wanting to back that up against Warrington uh when we get to the preview later the odds are a bit closer than you’d actually think that they were FC played really well in that game they’ve been growing massive game for warington at the weekend is Paul vaugh an indication of where War at at the moment because vaugh last year was dream team and a superstar this year there are it being left behind by other brought forwards it would certainly seem that way wouldn’t it and kind of this season I’m not saying it’s a it’s a mere image of last season after the great start we’ve had we’ve had a much much better start but markedly I think we’re two points down on where we were this time last year um is it is it a case of he’s not at for Fitness which he might not be I doubt that because I don’t I think Sam burges is a coach who will will not play as if they’re not it will not play players if if they’re not 100% um have other teams worked out how to stop him quite possibly there’s been there’s been disruption to the team with with resting players the week before Wembley there’s been the obvious crushing disappointment of Wembley I I think he he said that himself yeah that he was crushingly disappointed Salford were brilliant on Friday night absolutely they they I think that in the first half they had three they were in our half four times and scored three tries yeah and a drop goal that’s all they need that’s all they needed to do they they they soaked up the pressure um and yeah it’s maybe a case of coaches have worked out to close down Paul vaugh and how to close him down well Chris Young now in the chat said he’d be more concerned about dufty paying zero attention in the game I McDonald’s try you’re right I mean at times I mean we saw it at Catan as well the John and dry at times he just doesn’t seem to fancy big Lads getting through um that seems to be a bit of a problem for him this is a big big weekend for them of course yes St car makes a good point War evented the fre for Rees Martin he is expected to go to Lee uh but that’s been rumored uh ree Martin to Warrington with the departure of Nicholson I must admit for his goal kicking alone that would be an incredible acquisition if waron could get that one over the line um but it would would it it would be it would be if if I didn’t think that s Burgess again isn’t that kind of coach that he’s looking to promote youth yeah um you know Adam Hy how he didn’t get the whole man of the match on on Friday night he’s beond me the guy was rageous unbelievable it was he got he was getting a lot of pels and these people just don’t anybody criticizing criticizing Adam holl Roy on Friday agreed were not watching the game agreed um it was a tackling machine mate yeah I would yeah I I would certainly um I would certainly give Hall Roy his head if Nicholson is going I know Shawn Waynes told him to Hang Fire yeah that was interesting Sean yeah a good point I mean was you surp I mean it’s very rare you where Shawn Wayne come out fear hey it’s a fear Shawn Wayne interfered as the England coach as well that that should have a bit of weight you’d think you know I was quite surprised by Shawn Wayne coming out and saying that I would presume he’d have the same advice for junior Inc and other people like that that may also be being CED yeah um you know I I I personally think it’s to or from a selfish point of view as well as as a matty Nicholson point of view I I think it’s probably two or three years too soon for Matty Nicholson don’t blame that don’t blame the lad at all a 21 all had going to live in Australia to play rugby league that that’s the dream um but yeah sha way Shawn way I said has that put a bit of doubt in Nicholson’s head has it been I think he is going to camber if he’s going isn’t he yeah but will price where’s will price you know what I mean where’s will price you know will price has gone down under he hasn’t had a sniff hasn’t had a sniff I mean you all credit to Kai P Paul all credit to smid especially he’s been outstanding yeah you need to look at that because yes if they go over there and they hit the first team will they develop of course they will but if they go over there and become the Forgotten man that’s a year of the career gone I mean and I agree with you I think you know for a player like Nicholson probably in sber as well at his age to to stay over here to really build they I mean in sra’s case he’s already got an incredible reputation but if he stays at wi for maybe three maybe four years by the time he makes that transition because he will at some point I think that’s obvious his reputation will go before him and and and and you know he will not be going over there as a a possibility he’ll be going over there as a starting 11 or 12 yeah yeah you know Dave Brunton makes a good point in the chat that warington have tried to buy trophies and you’re 100% right yeah and we’ve seen Saints we’ve seen Leeds we’ve seen Wigan you know I was fortunate enough to to work with some of the Wigan youngsters who’ve had first team experience this week um in work and they they’re bringing some great kids to the the teams that have won trophies possibly with the exception of Bradford have always and and Bradford had some young young kids coming through have always promoted from within and built that culture and you know Dave hits the nail on the head there it’s about time we do have some patience and we we build it we build a team from youth make kite Taylor a in the reserves for sford at the weekend yet again I mean got bags of talent I would be tempted to give dufty a week off and put put Taylor Ren in I really would after Friday’s score with an hattrick in the blink of an eye was down Clark of Saint Helens the most try assist came from Moses MBI Jack welsby Mikey Lewis and James Bell each with two the top meter maker in round 14 was Matt Duffy the Warrington wolves with 293 whil the top tackle Buster was Tim lefi sof of Red Devils with 15 Bon French and hakee mudi each got 10 the most clean breaks we’ two a piece came from Liam Marshall Harry Newman Jack welsby Ethan Ryan and Luke Thompson the most offloads came from Ben Garcia the Catan dragons with five whilst the top half meter maker of the round goes to Mad jeski of the lead rhinos with 198 the top tackler with Sam Stone with sua Red Devils with 52 credit to jab o Conor with 49 and Ben Garcia with 47 and the top goal kicker of the round was MK pel of St Ellens with eight against the London Broncos those were your top performers from round number 14 of the B Fred super Super League stunning performances there in round 14 and these were the results the Robbins beating the Giants 32 points to six we’ll go through these in a minute myself and Reggie uh very very high level just to get the thoughts of the big man uh before we move forward uh but yeah Robbins 32 giant six uh great win that one for the Robbins then of course the walls going down to a very impressive s for Red Devils they did it again War bogey team they know how to win against the wire do the Salford Red Devils then the Tigers really really good showing from them against the wigging Warriors only losing out by two that’s uh that yellow C to Kane Rob decisive really in that game hfc 18 the Rhinos 10 a second win of the season for hfc brilliant performances in that game the dragons have only scored four in two games against the leopards the leopards winning 10 points to two the dragons continue to struggle and then finally the Saints expectedly beat London orbe it that’s a very handsome score indeed 52 points to six a hattrick in there for Daz Clark right then Greg I mean we’ll we’ll start with that Robin performance I said on Final whistle it might been in final whistle it might have been on in the sheds it’s all a blur to do that much at the minute H but I’ll ask you this question is there a better team is there a better team in attacking phases from about the halfway line out than Hulk are this season uh not at this moment in time no um yeah I me you know Mikey Lewis they’ve got an absolute little Diamond there and he’s or he’s orchestrating more and more as The Season’s gone on we’ve seen Mikey Lewis grow into the player that has become at this he has the odd you know he has the odd moment where where his concentration drops or he lets his his emotions get the better of him they’re becoming those moments becoming fewer um but no I I think hul KR could very well trouble the top teams this season I really you mean they’re right up there now yeah and you’re baring baring some injuries or a dramatic loss of form I I think they’re going to cause cause a bit of Chaos in the playoffs and to be honest nobody wants to go Craven Park in the playoffs I’m glad I’m glad we when we did I’ll go as far as to say that includes the top two Saints in winging as well well I guess you know what I mean miraculously one of them fell out the top two the last place they want to go in that decisive playoff will be Craven par well I think somebody I was I was talking uh about Wigan um the daughters training the other night they’re Wigan fans and and I I I really do think that that Wigan have to be beaten before they get to the Grand Final um so yeah on up at censor he’s a he was a sensor when he came to Warrington in 2017 he was a class apart and it was it was ging that he decided it wasn’t for him uh and you know and people criticized hul KR for signing him I think he’s been one of the signings of the Season he is a censor all day long yeah he really is he has been class right let’s let’s quickly move through it I mean casford tigers against wiggin really spirited 108 uh good effort this Kane Rob I have to say Kane Rob against olfc he was going he was going up against Herman s and he didn’t take a backward step against the wigging pack then next season you know you’ve got Hayes coming back you’ve got I mean Williams is Will Williams is going nowhere so I just think for me yeah I mean look I I agree with you ham I put I put the kid in and I’m surprised actually with Matt Pete because let’s be fair Pete he shown it with easle you know but for whatever reason he showed a bit of LA to to I’m played a couple of times this year had did a half decent game against London but it was London um but I agree out the BS I’ve seen of fman in the reserves I think he’s worth a shot for I give him a goal definitely give Jack far a go you go you’re going back to you know to to warington he’s probably got more chance of breaking into the Warrington first team than the wig one at the minute well speaking of Warrington let’s uh let’s go to Warrington Warrington 2514 lost to sford Red Devils sford Red Devils I mean let’s be absolutely honest about this um they were quality right across the P I think as a team as a unit I thought the thought the back row forwards I mean it was Pro I would go as far as to say that was the best have seen Ken Watkins in 2024 I thought he was really good Sam Stone was good in the B row Dion cross was quality on the edges two centers a class Donald but Donald and lafi just unplayable You’ die for a pair of centers as good as that in your team um you know we we we dominated the opening exchanges and then they got a couple of breakaway tries yeah and we couldn’t get back into it they they defended superbly um you know what I would have done after that after the uh that non attempted Tackle by dufty in well two in the first half I would have been tempted to drop Fess or Ratford back to fullback and put dufty in the halves to be honest you had a job Fess wasn’t playing yeahor yeah he wasn’t was I watched most of it with my eyes Clos H yeah to Dro rashford to fullback and put Dy in the halves um there this there’s been a few that you know again stepen cly says witon structure look Dreadful we’ve messed the team around in the last few weeks yeah yeah you know it was working well it was working smoothly I understand why Burgis dropped so many players before the final obviously it didn’t work we again had people missing like like Williams and apparently Fess wasn’t playing um we had wrench on the wing wrench I think wrench needs to go out on loan um to to get up to speed um to be honest yeah um yeah you know we shuffled a few positions about it it wasn’t good it wasn’t and that but that’s not an excuse because sford was superb and fully deser the win well what would say deserve the win a few of the kids might get a call up this weekend I would say that I think Lind might be in with a shout I have to say um and I’ll tell you what K Tor you might be right you know I mean he was very good indeed again um you know really really good again think kick up it might be the kick up the bom that Duffy needs to say look mate yeah you’re not Irreplaceable we’re going to put Taylor in yeah I’d certainly play Aon lindop certainly yeah and Roid been class yeah you those three have not disgraced themselves when they played for warington this season no Andy bate we agree I mean Reese Martin coming in for goal kicking but you bring Martin in that stunts hwood uh and it does uh you know he’s I think he’s only 31 though ree Martin so he’s still got a good few seasons in his legs right uh we we’ve already talked about okr not really much more to say other than Huddersfield again mate in the arm wrestle for 30 minutes and then but one once I mean once ulr got head in that game you never felt for one moment that hfield were GNA come back and do anything did you no and they’ve got some really good players Huddersfield and it’s it’s a mystery yeah you know it’s a mystery as to to why they are performing like they are they get to a challenge cup semi-final um but you know yeah it’s a mystery to me it is it is we’ll keep on Pace we’ll keep it got lots to get but we’ve been saying for the last two or three weeks Sasa Truman you know they’ve been getting slowly but surely stronger moy’s not letting at fullback Truman was back to a re a reasonable standard I don’t think he was man of the match personally but you know he was back to a decent standard SAS doing what he did and denie Bal forth Take a Bow yes yeah incredible yeah what a performance first half especially I I think there’s trouble in the camp at leads I think that’s that’s probably not a very well-kept secret job though I can’t see any change between now and Friday mate no no no no it might be International weekend when when when something happens he needs a big performance against Le at the weekend we’ll talk about that in the minute but he does he does but the thing is it’s it’s the I keep I sound like a broken record but it’d be typical of leads to finish in the top six and get to the Grand Final I don’t see year I don’t but it’d be typical of them to do it because yeah it’s what they do well actually I did actually say you know if somebody did take go from Rowan Smith could they do what Rowan Smith did when he came in which was galvaniz him getting him on a shortterm turnaround and and off the go so yeah that impetus yeah as Lee says yeah leads are poor but countless seasons over the past 10 15 years they’ve been poor up until July yeah and then strung a series of result together and gone and won the Grand Final yeah says not this year but well she she’s actually shouting at you not this year she’s actually shouting at you there is Da she she’s not having any want to go and experience Pon what’s your thoughts on that um yeah I actually did read the article I read read it this morning um in just before I traveled to the airport um he was he was very interested and I kind of get his point on it in terms of you know it is an expensive uh weekend away but but what a weekend away it is you know um so it’s it’s it’s a difficult one for me because I I’m I’m the biggest advocate of going to Catland I absolutely love it it’s the best place ever um to go and watch rugby um but I do get his point in terms of if if you going to prioritize um a weekend away with your family what what what did you do you go to bpon do you go to the challenge cup and it is one worth worth worth discussing but for me it’s an absolute no-brain having having literally landed about an hour ago um you know it’s it’s such brilliant place um I I I I absolutely love it it’s uh and it’s even it’s the first time I’ve ever seen us win there as well which made it even more uh special for me absolutely absolutely absolutely fantastic and you you know what it is it is a good point though Dave go mate because if you’re in Super League you’re guaranteed a weekend at least one weekend in pepon yeah you’re guaranteed a weekend wherever Su super wherever magic weekend is yeah you’re not guaranteed a weekend at Wembley so it’s it’s an absolute I think you know he could have well hit the nail on the head that we spoke about this at length the other week after Wembley didn’t he why why were Tendencies down and we that was probably something we we didn’t kind of factor michol jeski got nearly 200 and Tom M was a man mounting an absolute man mounting against Catalan so as much as we’ve been giving Sasa loads of wraps when he’s not the prop of the week he’s just not real genuine concerns for some of these lead Lads at heading L on Friday where emotions concerned because if you’re on the brink at the mkm imagine the atmosphere the emotion at headingly on Friday night um it’s going to be so hard for them Lads it really especially if um if Rob’s family are going to be there as well field well I don’t know if you saw it I think I posted it on our Facebook feed that you know Lindsay lindsy bough is out campaigning against for M andd this weekend so I think you know again the strength of the lady is incredible so it would not surprise me to see lindsy B the kids and the probably see a lot of his old teammates there as well I would agree yeah the likes the S field and the likes yeah you know what Greg you spot like I said and what we know about leads like all you know we do it right in this sport we do it right so that’s going to be one hell of a tribute uh at headingly on Friday night um I’m really looking forward to watching it I have to say um I wish I wasn’t watching it of course I don’t but it will be a fitting tribute to Rob and like I say from a playing perspective I just question can they use it as fuel and I don’t know if they’ve got that in them to use it as fuel I think for example if you i’ go as far as to say this you know I think that if you look at for example a wiggin team at the wiggin at the moment Saints team at the moment probably only those two really you know if this was wigging um at the weekend I think because they’ve been there done it got the t-shirt and the culture of the club and the rest of it I think somehow they they would use it as fuel I think Saints would be the same but I question have leed’s got it in him to use that emotion positively in an 80-minute game of rby League I I really don’t know Steph you played Castleford and you drew you know 28 all so you know a big question there for Lee is can you go back up two great wins against Catan to only concede four against Catan in two games phenomenal can they go and back it up and if they they get I think a Lee leopards team firing at 85% I I’ll show some respect to leads a lead team firing at 85% on Friday will be good enough that’s my view on this I’m going Lee 97 Scofield’s G Lee 9 to 17 Joel’s gone lead 9 to 17 Steph tell us about [Laughter] leads well I’ll tell you right about Lee first six six weeks ago you said to me Le had to go on a run and they’ve won four they’ve drawn one and they’ve lost one they’re probably now in the top three form sides in Super League in terms of results so that’s that’s where we are at the moment yeah now this is probably one of the biggest occasions Le are going to play this season there’s going to be 20,000 people at headingly it’s going to be a massive huge occasion you know they’ve gone SE at the risk of interrupting you I think this for those league players and for those leagues players will be a moment in their career that they will never experience again 100% that it’s going to be that big of an occasion this is something that they’ll be telling the grandkids about me yeah and this this is what I was was was going to get on to in terms of I wanted to get Lee out of the way first in terms of where where Le are um you know we we’ve took a lot of grief from people this season and rightly so you know we’ve underperformed we’ve had a lot of injuries but you can’t use injuries as an excuse but what we can say now is what I’ve been saying all season is that this lead team have been very very close even when we’ve lost the only team that’s absolutely put a score on us is Wigan it’s the only one and they still the only team in since we came up last year um that we’ve not beaten so that that that that’s the monkey we’ve got to get off our back and I think we will do that this season at some point but this all pales into insignificance for me th this game is bigger than the result and I I don’t care if we get beat by 40 in this one I’m going to be at heading Le on uh on Friday night and I’m going to be there because of Rob burrow not to not to watch Lee of course I’ll be there to watch Lee but it’s it’s a moment thing yet I’m taking me daugh to to go and probably witness something that is bigger and transcends the sport and um it’s going to be incredibly emotional um I I I honestly do not give a hoot about the result I don’t care because um it’s it’s Warrington 100% need to win this you know this this is a huge huge game for Warrington now um you know obviously the the difference in the sides on in terms of lead tables massive but you know Hull Hull have had a great result there against leads you know played really really well you know they they’re starting to get a bit of confidence back you know Warrington you know the the the form is is is not the best at the moment so um if if if Warrington want to have Ambitions of being a top four side you know a home home playoff um side this is 100% a must-win game um for me um I I do think that that even with the players that Warrington have got out you’ve got the the players to win it um I do think it’s going to be a bit of a closer game than what people think um like I say I think Hull playing pretty decent rugby at the moment um but I have gone Warrington 9 to 17 um but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a little bit closer than that 9 to 17 The Wire yeah yeah right okay um Greg I’m last 10 meetings in all comps it’s 73 the Giants who can forget the challenge Cup this year 346 win in Peron by Huddersfield Giants the last five games the average winning margin between these two has been nine wow wow what a game this could be Catan’s no new injury concerns have been released orbe we do understand that Luke Yates has been added to the sideline that’s a big blow for Huddersfield could Joe also not expected to feature in this but yeah those of you out there who probably would be thinking probably Catan this hfield have got a phenomenal record phenomenal record against the either I think that game ST that’s one of those where you win either way really is what I would say on that one as a Lee leopards fan the final game of the weekend we’ll see the sford Red Devils take but having said that and sford did a job on warington um last weekend I I I I I just think Saints will have the edge I really do um I think Saints should take a lot of fans down there I’m even I’m even considering going myself to watch it because it’s only down the road um but I I as well as sord played against us um I don’t think Saints they put 50 pass London I don’t really think they got out of second gear um I think they got a lot more to offer and I’m going to go nine to 17 Saint I think it would be close but I think Saints will pull away in the last 20 minutes 9- 17 well Billy there’s thrown a right one in he seems to think that both Ashley and Har human are going to be out for leads that’s a good news for you Steph does that change your prediction no we all went Lee I think by the maybe Steph Steph leads one to eight no Newman no Hanley results are relevant in that game for me fair enough you’re gonna leave it as it is good man so let’s move over there tell us about sford Saints I I think this is probably the game of the week for me I think these two two really really inform sides both capable of of you know putting it right up there with the best in in in Super League for me um so you know sford have obviously got home Advantage um but Saints have Saints have really come into their own like bit under the radar a little bit for me um you know s sitting quite upward there in first place um so it’s he got the potential to be an absolute cracker and um bar baring any official um you know sending offs or or stuff like that I I do see it as a Saints win but I think I think it could be an absolute cracker I I can’t wait to watch this game to be honest with you I think it’s going to be an absolute belter um but I I have gone Saints 9 to 17 um I just think they’ve
