Kent tanigawa making a move start of the day four off the lead this was his second into the par for ninth front right hole location there for Kenny T and draws it back to about 5T Bob Estus rolls in this part for birdie at 13 after an eagle at 12 he’s a 10 under David Duval and his Resurgence over the last couple weeks his second into the ninth yeah that front right hole location we saw Kenny T hit it in the close but David D one better got a son on the bag this week and Eagle for David that gets him to 8 under par even Miguel likes it it’s David Branston with his birdie at the eighth yeah about 15 ft not much to this for David pours it right in the middle that’d be his sixth birdie in a row Steve Allen’s birdie at the seventh nice little shot in here at the par three down that slope not many birdies being made at the seventh but there’s one let’s go over to the ninth Ernie Ells has won the last two events of the PGA Tour Champions Ernie just one under on his round today and should get to two under Stephen Ames over at the ninth playing his second shot he’s hit all eight Greens in regulation today take dead aim at this one with a little little wed shot right behind the hole another good shot there for Steven not be gay playing his third at the 11th yeah all depends on the lie here Bob looks like it was sitting down a little bit but you know what flag stick thank you so Nota pitches in for birdie at 11 remain pretty fast that they have we were putting this one right here big goes pretty good from right to left how about it second Eagle the day at 12 and Kent tanigawa nice wedge shot in here controlled now down the slope It Go goes Ernie’s putter over the last month has been spectacular playing his second at the par three yeah that’s a bad place to miss it on that right hand side with this whole location on a little Plateau boy this one you think everybody’s out of position there starting the whole shots Philly mentioned this is the third hardest hole in the golf course today what’s tagawa have in just 128 yards once she gets her t- shot in play becomes a birdie hole today’s hole location and that will be a birdie putt there another chance there for Ken yeah just the opposite of Harrington SP needs to keep the speed up a little bit so it doesn’t break out Kenny t on a little heater yeah definitely is he just barely missed birdes at 10 and 11 also has a little bit of speed to it but what a battle and a save there for David Duval so David Remains Two back of the lead David Branston playing his second the 12th or 13 excuse me and that’s a beautiful shot in David Branson after that wonderful shot in 13 has this for birdie and to get to within two of the lead he does and let’s face it he doesn’t know it but unless and tanigawa holds this next shot tanigawa is going to give at least one more back just trying to sauté a little driver in there if you’ve got that shot he’s leaning a little bit like he might have left it to the right yeah 285 front 293 hole but right in the center of the green there Phil I don’t know what the lean was for that’s a good shot it it’s on the upper level so he’ll be putting down down the hill but what a beautiful looking t- shot that he liked it kind of did the same thing I see that little follow through nice and soft but very full kept the speed going that should keep going to the right that’s on a good line oh just flattened out at the end really well done he was walking he thought he might have made it I like his long putt stroke he just lets the putter swing the length of the stroke dictates how much speed he puts on the ball he didn’t really get he played here see if he can make a free stroke as well right center nice little bounce back so after you know the calamities of the last two holes Kent tanaga with that birdie now is the solo leader at 11 under par like Phil said it’s only about 6 yd deep taking in really high oh my goodness what a great control that was beautiful shot what a wonderful t- shot he hit in here let’s take advantage of that sure does he’s won the last two here in Endicott and Harrington within a shot now here on this Saturday this is the third for David Branson at 15 yeah over the back of the green that’s the problem with that but takes it straight up in the air and why not oh my goodness John three putt at the 14th hole and holes in I mean a wicked little pitch shot how good was that that went straight up in there got it on the proper level so he was walking one in on the last hole and it missed he stayed he stayed put on that one check it by the hole he was looking up and down the flag stick for good reason it was right on the line good shot [Applause] good finish there for Podrick birdie birdie birdie a bogey free 65 and he pressed it down there took the angle now controlling this the spin in the run out hit on top how good is this landed pretty soft and almost hols it what a great got a great break to stay dry start so much for going left of it yeah started to the right spin beautifully right behind the hole that’s when you know that you have your distance dialed in you’ve got a good number you hit your number spot on to do that stepen Ames to 369 padrick Carrington a boogey free 65 Kent tanigawa shoot 65 as well and they’ll go into the final round with a one- shot lead over Steve Allen and Bob Estus and Paul stanowski see Stephen Ames looking for his third win of the year he’s with big thank you Bob Stephen great playing again you’re in position for another win with so many players in contention going into tomorrow’s round does that change your strategy a little bit uh not really um still going to be Fairways and greens make as many putts as I can I mean it’s golf you know how it is out here um with the way like you said so many players that come back into the game a little bit um it’s pretty much going to be a ball game and see who makes the most PS first 175 tournaments on this tour you won twice the last 35 tournaments You’ve Won six times does that make you a little more comfortable going into tomorrow’s round I’m in a comfortable Zone yeah there’s no doubt about that um I think the the biggest part that I’m really comfortable with is myself and uh it’s not my golf game so much it’s more the fact that I I know when the certain shots are going to come out how I feel and uh when I get over certain things things then I change my focus accordingly to that so I think like I said the most important thing right now is that I’m very comfortable with me which is very important
