of starts in my n FPC Main Event League with some mixed results but we’ll talk about all that and more busy busy Fab week for us all obviously too I had I think I had like 11% of my wins in one of my main events was today today today I think I had I think I had like 34 36 wins and I had four today or something like it was like right around there it was so I had three on Saturday um and I had six or seven for the week so it was could have been a good week I I think I talked to you earlier in the week I had on Monday I had four pitchers leave with a lead or five pitchers lead with a lead and got lead League leave with a league one more time wow wow leave while ahead there you go perfect and one win to show for it I feel like that’s happened like 17 times to you this year too Tanner Tanner BBY was amazing this week we all love Tanner BBY uh Justin steel still doesn’t have a win this year um we’ll talk that’s coming up you can’t yeah I guess you’re teasing that um yeah that that’s funny I survived I survived Lance week Lance Lyn two start week in the main event how about that yeah well two uh two two today two gems and two wins yeah nice I was uh I was very nervous I am desperate for wins so I I just I just did it I threw him out there and got got 12 and two3 with one earned and 11ks it was not not too shabby yeah sometimes desperation pays off sometimes it does not often usually you get usually get like 13 earned runs when you do that but uh Satur night baseball night Jeff Wyatt Langford on national TV with the with the cycle was really fun he seems to uh finally be coming around it was a joke for a while though that his only home run was the was the of the inside Park variety they talked about how him a bunch on the game tonight you know obviously he was he was playing with wood bat like a year ago like it’s a pretty uh a pretty quick shift to for the majors from the University of Florida when he was using obviously aluminum bat but um he’s finally starting to come around it’s finally starting to be fun to have white length for I think we’re in for a pretty pretty fun and big second half yeah yeah he I love seeing it click for these young guys especially it’s been tough for a lot of these touted prospects it was a good week for Langford good week for hon kirad uh fun see that uh kudos to the Sunday Night Baseball crew on ESPN I I actually like their broadcast I think ravage and Eduardo Perez are really good I like Coney I like uh Buster o I think they have a good crew Eduardo Perez really knows the college game too so that was kind of cool to hear him talk about I think he’s connected to the gator program but uh you know talking about them and Jack uh kagon I’m butchering his name but their star from this year and just what what they’ve been doing and all that it’s just kind of cool I watched a lot of college ball this year and kind of cool to hear that transition there a little bit yeah it was uh and it’s fun to see you know I know that hit the majors is hard like I think we all Langford moved up in draft so much because we’re all excited about him but you know obviously he struggled then he got hurt but since he’s been hurt uh it’s been uh it’s been pretty good so that’s has been uh it’s been fun to watch I’m looking just at his splits here he’s hitting uh 283 in June I think that’s before tonight so that’ll that’ll go up tonight so it’s uh the uh the 143 in July that was that was only a few games but 238 in in 20 in in May uh or what I guess in April what just inside the park home run but it’s finally coming around um it is fun but they did they beat the Orioles tonight was uh the Orioles have been playing really well oral and Yankees are tied right now we’re essentially halfway through the season um this is an absolutely fun race the Orioles are fascinating team with so many young guys that they almost might have too many young guys they’re talking about a little bit in the broadcast tonight like they probably gotta trade a couple of these guys from pitching because just they had they have a complete uh complete kind of bottleneck on positions but they need they need some arms especially with Cal bradish being done for the year um it’s gonna be interesting to see if they dip in the minor leagues if they trade some of these guys who are already in the majors uh their trade deadlines can be pretty fascinating it is and I they got to learn from uh the CC Sabathia trade I think they I mean they should be acting now I don’t they should be trying to you know they Cleveland Cleveland to Milwaukee was that that trade that was the Cleveland to Milwaukee they did it like five starts before the trade deadline and that made all the difference in the world um and you know I I I think you know granted you have to have a willing partner out there Luis arah got dealt but pitchers it seems like it’s harder to find uh but you know you never know their their opponent tonight might be one of those teams that and I know we’ll talk about that that could add to the inventory pool we’re really trying to find like who which starting pitchers can be dealt and you know maybe Tampa Bay Toronto maybe Cincinnati or Chicago Cubs might be a source of this here a little bit we heard news on the Sunday night broadcast about Garrett crochet maybe the talks breaking down on a long-term deal there but you don’t know how much crochet is going to be available the rest of the way so we’ll see but and there was there was a note that the white socks are already quote dwindling his his pitch count in start to start and then he came out had 11 strike out seven to start after that so it’s it’s a lot easier to say it than it is to do it when he’s dealing and and take him out there but I mean they’re already starting to think about what they do with crochet because he’s you know obviously at a a big Innings number and we’re halfway through the season exactly right uh but they do have to ask themselves how long is the Cole irvan thing Gonna Last is Dean KR I can answer that question for you Jee not long he he was a mess tonight he was and he’s had a couple like that recently Dean Kramer’s coming back this week we’ll see pitches Thursday again Seattle hey streaming for strikeouts with Dean Kramer you could do it uh if he’s available in your league you could check that out and he gets the Cubs the following week if they stick with that we’ll see if they stick with that six-man uh but and how long Suarez had a good outing last time though he might stick around for a while too uh but I I I think they need to add either you they may just be adding relievers that might be their solution to this however I think in the playoffs you’ve got Burns and Grayson and then dot dot dot who else do you trust at this point in time yeah it’s uh it’s tough they I mean I think boosting your B your Bullpen always a good idea but uh they definitely need it they starter and if they you know I think they they remember getting swept last year they they talked about a bunch of times in the broadcast tonight and they had an interview with uh I forget who it was but someone was talking about get swept it was the manager but he was talking about getting swept and how you know they’ve they’ve adapted that they they’ve kind of um stewed with that and they don’t want to deal with that they definitely need a starter um it’s funny you mentioned kramber pitching against Seattle um that’s a weird team their pitching staff is so so good but Julio Rodriguez among 144 qualified hitters is uh 12 from the bottom in Ops this year like holy cow we’re halfway through the year like I know he started slow last year and then went nuts and then the end of the year numbers ended up fine but man he’s whatever that is bottom eight% in Ops right now it’s a pretty wild number like he’s just ahead of Mitch Han on his team he’s right next to Mikel Garcia and Anthony Rizzo but like these some names down here you just don’t expect to see Julio down there yeah you don’t uh you really don’t and if you made that Julio versus Bobby wit choice and chose poorly this year like I did in scarf um I’m forever regretting that I am I am thankful to uh whoever drafted for me because I would have taken Julio and I took wit at four because Julio was gone yeah uh it’s it’s that’s sometimes the way it works sometimes uh sometimes you get it right in spite of yourself yeah that’s right some some uh comments in the chat room some chatter about uh Jack flarity being maybe the best arm available if crochet doesn’t go and you know you know I I I actually I don’t know if I trade for flarity before crochet I wouldn’t because he’s well first of all it’s a reynal it’s a half a season he’s a free agent he signed a one-year deal uh so I wouldn’t do that but i’ I’d count on more Innings from flarity than crochet the rest of the way you know what Flare’s K minus walk is it’s nuts it’s like 10 to one or something like that it’s 33% K rate and 4% walk rate yeah kimwa is 29% like that’s a crazy number he’s been every time I’m like oh it’s Jack FL I look at his numbers I’m like oh my gosh he’s just been damn good his swinging strike rates a tied with the highest of his career that was 2020 only through 40 Innings um and I don’t know every time every time I want a discount that be like a you don’t want to trade for that guy like he’s been legit backed up good with every metric you can imagine yeah uh he has been struggled in his last start against the Angels uh gave up three homers I don’t know if that’s and the home runs are the one thing that’s kind of 13 hom run allowed and 15 starts that’s a little high uh he was awful after the trade last year y just awful uh and so that’s something like where did this come from how did the you know how did the Tigers who are the tigers fix him but the Orioles couldn’t I don’t get that and it’s funny you mentioned Toronto as you know potentially a seller and you talk about Kevin Gosman got smoked again today he gave up seven earned runs today um we’re at July 1 and gosman’s are is 475 like that is a uh that’s a real number right there it’s given up a lot of runs his strikeout rate is significantly down it was 31% last year he’s about 23% right now the walks are down too but swinging swinging Miss is a lot less down 4% from 2022 um gosman’s been a different guy out there and I don’t know uh it’s hard to trade for someone when you just don’t know what you’re gonna get yeah well I mean he had the elbow thing in spring training and I think we just think it oh he came back so therefore it’s gone well maybe it’s not gone maybe it’s still kind of a lingering thing I mean we were you know I I sometimes the in you know guys do bounce back it’s just a scare and it’s fine sometimes you get Jordan Romano sometimes you get Kevin Gas Canan I mean Gosman you had to go 10 minutes in you had to go Jordan Romano on dude I’m suffering just as much as you are on at least you dropped him at least you dropped him a week early the right time I had to dropped him this week yeah I think I think we all knew that you know next setback was coming I I waited a week for it you uh you timed a little better but um uh I’m afraid he’s done for a while yeah I mean and the news on him in case you hadn’t caught it over the weekend uh he he got shut down from throwing a g on Friday pitch you know threw on Monday and they were like okay this is progress yeah after the previous weekend setback uh but you know I think he’s gonna get an exam early this week and I’m anticipating the worst uh I am too like I think if they were like he’s not gonna throw for a month and then we’ll see it would be like the best case scenario right now that’s uh it’s not great um we mentioned white Langford mentioned the orals uh the Rangers beef the orals they were on a six-game losing streak before that um how much trouble are the Rangers in they won the World Series last year they are now eight games under 500 they’re eight games back at Seattle they Trail by a few few games in the Wild Card let’s see they’re down they’re actually eight eight back of the RS in the wild card too so they’re back as far as they’re in the division as other wild card with like six teams in between them something like that um the Rangers dead are they all right what you know Cory Seager uh seems like he averted avoided an injury this weekend the x-rays were negative he didn’t play tonight but um they’re right on the ver I mean they’re they’re tied with the Tigers right now yeah they are uh that and they needed that win today to do that to St keep up with them uh I think that they might be in a significant amount of trouble I mean keep in mind x-rays are not the final answer I mean always I always I always wait for the Imaging before I’m ful I fully take a breath and sometimes the Imaging is wrong too by the way uh and that just that’s what happens sometimes um I think they’re in trouble a little bit uh and it’s the pitching I think the pitching is an issue I mean the fact that you know we we saw what happened with uh um with um Carter uh Ian Carter another thing too I mean yes sometimes play players bounce back and you know sometimes you get uh you get a little bit of good luck there you know we seeing with lford but you know it’s injuries and performance with Carter and there’s a significant split issue with him going forward you know some guys have come back to earth like Leo tares has come back down to earth a little bit semian starting to it looks like a little bit too his numbers aren’t top shelf um I don’t know they got Max Sherer back and that’s big yep uh but I and the back end of their Bullpen is actually okay you know it’s just getting to the the closers you getting to Roberts and getting to uh you know uh to to U Kirby Yates Kirby Yates yeah I was thinking for some reason I kept on thinking Kirby was the last I was like I was like I was like don’t say Jose L cler because that’s a bad memory right there yeah yeah it is it is I mean you look at their the the Rangers teams have just kind of like met and like they’re their 20th 21st in team ra they 19th in team Ops they just kind of not great hitting not great pitching I mean obviously you know they were they kind of snuck through the World Series last year as it was but as Paul spor just said but um still I think that we thought coming out of that they they’d at least be a contender and right now they’re not no uh I still don’t think I mean it’s not untenable to catch the Mariners but the problem now is they got to catch two teams in the division y they got to catch like five teams in the wild card four or five teams in the wild card that’s the the problem and it’s not like it’s these cheesy inl Wild Card teams um it’s some real teams that they got to try to catch like the Red Sox um I mean the the Royals I don’t know if I don’t think I believe in them but I mean they’ve at least earned the right to be considered a real team with their their run differential and what they’ve done so far yeah um that you know and they have a superstar in wit and they have some good pitching uh which you know that that that that goes a long way but you know it it’s the combination of factors is the number of teams and the quality of teams that they’re chasing I think that’s the I think that’s the difference so since you brought up the uh the Royals pitching I’m just going to jump down and and jump to one of more topics here uh Seth Lugo Jeff has 11 wins that is wild we joked about uh we joked about Justin steel earlier but Seth Lugo got his 11th win today uh ra is 217 whip is 1.05 and then we talked about him a while back and like he looks like one of those guys that you know kind of getting a little bit of uh of positive luck there you know the the FIP numbers and the x is a lot see Mount higher still pretty decent at 38 but um he just keeps chugging along 10 more strikeouts today a win um 11 wins is huge for fantasy teams absolutely uh he is everything they wanted and more um he you know and it’s it’s funny because Cole reagin has been you know fine um not but not like the like oh my God Cole reagins that we were hoping for right but lugo’s been above and beyond better than we we’d hoped for so you know and and singer has been really good uh you know we’ve seen glimpses of that Waka was hurt for a while but he’s fine he’s at least League average and they League average is pretty good these days yeah it’s funny I kind of feel the same way about Reagan and then every time I look he has a 333 ra with a a 30% strikeout rate I think that he’s had a a couple of games like we expected to be better and gave a bunch of runs but he’s actually been pretty darn good I’ve uh I had the same feeling I have him in the main event I’m kind of like oh he’s been fine but he’s he’s been pretty darn good too yeah I passed on Reagan for Manny Machado and for about all but the last three days I think I’ve been regretting that decision Manny Manny’s coming now I think he Manley’s finally healthy he looks he looks a different guy than he did a month ago I think you’re gonna get I think you’re get a nice second half from m shado i i yeah I just wish he didn’t do it against my guy Tanner Hal on Saturday but everybody everybody everybody did his Tanner Hal on Saturday if if Hal’s gonna get God at least it was my guy you know that’s the other way looking at it there and I had other good pitchers yesterday so I mean it’s fine uh but I also think you look at the League wide offensive numbers are starting to trick up a little bit too so they might be switching the balls the weather is hot I mean it’s hot now too across it’s hot everywhere yeah yeah um Justin steel Jeff has 12 uh 12 games started for the Cubs his ER is 320 whips 107 uh everything looks really good uh K minus walks about 19% 12 starts somehow has zero wins that it’s almost impossible yeah it’s possible because he was my first pitch draft in the main if if I didn’t know that it would be virtually impossible yeah inconceivable uh he hasn’t he hasn’t given up more than three runs since May 22nd he has one two three four he has six starts he’s G up either zero runs or one run and still has no wins he has not he’s gone over five innings every Star except for the first three when he’s coming back from the hamstring it is a it’s it’s crazy he has no wi like it’s just the the Run support is just bonders yeah I’m keenly aware of it unfortunately um I love that he kind of snapped finally uh Saturday he did the Wake the F up at the entire Dugout was pretty awesome well you saw the sequence that caused that though right yeah yep and I think he was yelling at himself too because he botched a bunt play in that inning but then there is the rundown where they didn’t get an out I mean he kind of messed up a little bit that he could have run at the runner a little bit more you’re supposed to force him backwards he didn’t really force them quick uh you know all the way back to the bag so they could just do a quick tag play instead uh they you know he didn’t do that but then like the guy running you know running him down to Third Base waited too late to throw the ball Christopher Morel who you know was an experiment at third base showed it on that play because he was like 10 feet off the bag for reasons um and then later in the inning there was a popup that was perfectly triangulated and lost in the the op semiopen roof at what was known as Miller Park at one point in time um I I generally don’t American Family something other is that is now yeah it matter uh but anyhow you know it was the berm triangle popup there and both runs were earned somehow that was the best part about all that there um so yeah uh he snapped a little bit maybe that’ll you know they’ll pay some dividends later I don’t think it’ll matter really in the grand scheme of things I always see like is that gonna fire him up because firing them up is really gonna fix you know their their awful crappy no good terrible Bullpen I don’t think so but I don’t know maybe it will uh we’ll see he gets the Angels at home next start uh and then at Baltimore after that so that could be problematic before we uh jump into Fab ads uh been trying to do a couple of uh drop conversations as we go along here because that’s you know that’s important uh Jeff what what do you feel right now about uh thyro Estrada with the Giants I know we went the I this week it seems like it’s more of a he was banged up he had a bunch of stuff going on we trying to get him healthy so it doesn’t seem like a long-term absence but um strata has been really really bad this year he’s hitting 231 he does have nine home runs he has 40 runs 39 R Eyes Jeff he has one stolen base on the Year we’re at the the big bases the pitch clock all that kind of stuff it’s easier steal bases the Str has one back maybe he’s been banged up and not wanting to run but uh you know he’s someone that doesn’t hit the ball that hard anyway so you need those steals he had 21 and 2022 23 and 2023 um are you a hold on estada how worried are you about this because this someone that went like the you know eighth ninth tenth round as your middle infield or your starting second baseman he’s been a big disappointment he has I I kind of take the Don Draper approach him I don’t think about at all uh but nice thanks uh actually got a reference you got I’m I’m I’m thrilled he has a 264 OBP like that’s just bad for his own baseball team too yeah yeah I mean the thing is I don’t know why he’s not running uh unless like because he’s not getting on base yeah 264 is kind of suck 10 walk 60k but he’s never been a walker 22 to 120 last year I guess the lesson here is we should have known better um that you know he’s going to run a foul of some bad luck at some point in time doesn’t walk he doesn’t hit for a whole lot of power so what does he do so last year 331 babit this year 259 guess what you he’s gonna have a low on base and have a low chances of running there probably geted in the you never ever ever walk you’re more at uh you’re kind of more at the mercy of that but uh right and and by the way pitchers are going to just challenge you a little bit more and the stuff is better than ever too and the ball’s dead than ever so if you do make contact and you’re a noodle arm hitter well then it’s not going to go as far yeah it’s uh the one stone Bay is just rough because that’s a spot where you’re like all right I get my get my 20 here and you’re kind of building up your uh building up your offense but he does have nine home runs so he’s shown a little bit of Pop you know he’s only had his career high is 14 home runs so he’s he’s on Pace to to Eclipse that but and the on St Bas and brutal the 230 batting average I think you you when you when you got Estrada you’re hoping for some a little bit of pop but definitely steals definely some batting average and you’re not ain’t getting the two you counted on yeah yeah that’s that’s right um I mean at least maybe I don’t know maybe the time off will be good but it’s a wrist injury too uh I don’t think I’m gonna drop them if I had them but I I’m gonna be annoyed that I have to park use up a spot on them too if that makes any sense yeah I held him I have him in the my 15 team auction league so I held him um you know there were actually some second bear some m infielders i was I thought about adding instead but I think I’m going to I’m going to wait till he comes back see if anything turns around here but it’s been uh it’s been tough uh what did you do with uh I know someone that you picked up a few weeks ago what did you do with Adam Duval I think we were kind of excited about that ad when when we added Adam Duval because you know it was when aunia got hurt and Duval was suddenly sliding a lot of playing time our thoughts was well at least we’re gonna get some power out of this guy um we’ve got a little teeny bit of power but he’s hitting a buck 69 he’s been he’s been killing teams yeah he stinks too um and I you know the thing is I thought he might Rec create the magic he’s always been feast or famine right yeah um I maybe as the weather heated up he he’d Catch Fire I thought hopefully that had a big hit Saturday to win the game like okay maybe it’s coming around one for three today too so I’m I’m holding him in part because I I really don’t have a better option also at least uh you know you can only pick up so many guys uh I did pick up one outfielder this week uh probably could have made a case for two or three but you know you look at a 15 team league and trying to find outfielders good luck it’s I I have a couple leagues where I need a couple and every week I’m like oh my God it’s the same guys I’m kind of cycling through and picking up and dropping just hoping to hit on one of them I held Duval also um you know he did have 21 home runs in 92 games last year we know the power is in there somewhere the bab’s 205 it was 299 last year so I mean the 169 is ridiculous but he’s also Barrel rate’s pretty good doesn’t hit that done a ton of hard contact but he does hit it seems to be pretty good when he with in terms of the barrel percentage but uh you know striking out a little bit less but it is there’s nothing there right now I just the lineup is so good if he doesn’t get hot the RBI are really gonna come so I held him but he’s very much on the fence for me he’s a kind of a week by- we guy at the moment yeah I’ll tell you how B how hard up I am for looking for some at bats uh this week I held on to dval I held on to Mitch hanigar oh and yet I picked up four players um so you you kind of just you can mind blown there but three my uh my thing with hanar he’s not play Sitting a lot yeah and I but thing is and here here’s my problem I’m holding on to Stanton yep and I’m holding on to uh it’d be good if I remember play my own players names uh Carrie Carpenter also who picked up the stash maybe that was a mistake the same week we lost Stanton maybe that’s just bad bad roster management it’s not maybe it is bad roster management you should only if you only should have one St during draft season you should only have one stash midseason too did the did the hanar home run today save him on your roster uh was that that was yesterday right was it yesterday oh see days Days come okay I had 40 at bats with One RBI today so that was oh so you knew right away there was no homers mix in yeah man it was painful in fact handar didn’t come in until the very end I was wondering if maybe he had like a pinch hit Homer or something I saw a picture of him with the uh with the Trident it must have been must have been last night though it was last night and he I did send a text to him that he’s making a to stay on our roster um and then he didn’t start today so I don’t know but the thing is yeah I’m kind of stuck with it unless I unless I cut him for another guy that’s like on the wrong side of a platoon right or or something like that I don’t know I think I finally dropped him every place I had him but he might be hanging around some roster somewhere ditch diggers too let’s do a few few news and notes real quick before we get to the uh the exciting Fab weekend we talked about Jordan Rano we talked about Tyro Estrada uh Juan SoDo was interesting one today there was some talk like having an MRI in his hand yesterday and maybe he’s going to have MRI on Monday then he was not in the lineup to begin with and then he kind of talked his way in uh he had he had a hit early on in the first inning he looked okay this just went to monitor I imagine there’s no way the Yankees would have let him play today unless they actually thought he was okay um so we we think he’s fine but you know with the All-Star break coming up just a watch there make sure they don’t s don’t sit him uh in Milwaukee Garrett Garrett Mitchell set to be activated on Monday they sent Tyler black back down to the miners today much to your grin I did not pick him back up again thankfully I didn’t have to drop him again um how do you think this this Brewers Outfield DH situation works out because it seem like they have a uh kind of have a a bunch of guys here and I’m just not sure how much Mile’s gonna play it’s an interesting yeah interesting profile but I just don’t know how the playing time’s going to work out there I don’t either uh and I lowered my bid on S freck who I actually had already drafted and cut once I didn’t need to and he was among those Outfield options I was considering uh especially because you look at the Brewers schedule and of course they’ve got a four-game series at Coors Field coming up uh facing three right-handers too for that matter but even still like yeah I think freck plays especially because I think his defense helps but Mitchell does gum up the works a lot there you got Blake Perkins you got Jackson cherio you’ve got Frick you’ve got Hoskins dhing and when Jake Bowers whoever dhes or plays first base against Ry Bowers plays so there just a lot of uh there’s a lot of we parts and sometimes contras DHS there’s just obviously Chris yich plays every day they got a lot of guys for you know maybe two spots like four four for two kind of thing that’s tough yeah it is uh so I mean freck was still high on our list but I lowered the number a little bit there um thinking that okay it’s gonna be risky but man those those course field games you’re gonna still want them uh comment in the chat here I’m in the top 50 of the Roo Island Championship do I have a chance you absolutely have a chance top 50 overall I would say um we’re halfway through I’d say if you’re in the top 200 right now maybe 100 200 you need to get really hot but if you’re in the top 100 you absolutely have a chance there is a there’s a lot of movement yet to happen as someone who’s uh been at the top and falling out of it I can promise you there’s a lot of movement if you’re in the top 50 you’re in a really good spot in fact I wouldn’t want to be uh I’d rather be right in there than than actually leading right now I wouldn’t want to be leading at the moment I like top 50 I like uh I like with with with room to make a run and kind of lingering back there I it’s a really good spot to be in yeah but still uh I’ll take I’ll be the nice guy I’ll I’ll take first at the Break um but you know because I have I have I have bad bad memories of first of the break so I’m I’m jaded and and cynical sure sure of course uh but I’m just saying you’d rather be in a good position I you always want you always want to be top 50 other than not I just think you got a full half the season go you’re on a great spot you just got to keep uh keep turning especially in the 12 teamers you’ve got to really stay on top of that because there are there there are G to be some teams that make some crazy runs and that 12 te there gonna be some stacked teams in in the last couple months teams that you know maybe some leagues that don’t very aren’t very act active in Fab or you you a someone that drops somebody there’s a lot me a lot of really good teams to the top so but you stay on it you’re in the top 50 at the halfway through you’re in a really good spot yeah absolutely yeah I mean I just I want to be in the hunt I want to you know be yeah because and that that it encourages you to be super proactive with your team which is what you need to be you know when you when you’re struggling it’s easy to say it doesn’t matter anyhow and then oh if I had only made that move you know I I missed three weeks and I was making this rally but if I had had these two spots adjusted might have even been better the other thing I would say so that that that the online Championship has like 2,800 teams 2900 teams something like that you’re top 50 you’re you’re among the elite teams um you’re top 50 on July 1 um I’m focusing on overall points I’m not looking at my league very much for now especially in the championship you know less money for the league than it would be in a main event where I’m always looking my leag that’s you know 7 7500 bucks to win the to win the main event League uh I am focusing heavily on onl overall points I’m looking at that every week where am I dropping where am I fing where can I gain you’re gonna you’re gonna find spots where you know just use an example but three saves gives you you know 900 points um you really got to focus on the overall points you’re top 50 right now I’m focusing on overall every week and making sure that I’m uh I’m I’m I’m making sure I’m focusing on what I need to I need to gain and where I can gain to there’s some danger in that though Scott actually is but I think you gota go for it though I I mean I I had a team that I was top what I I was I was pretty high in the overall and started focusing on those damn closers and instead uh fell apart badly and you know I think think I got third in my league still cashed at least but I think it I think it’s harder in the main event because there’s all there’s so few there’s so many fewer teams there’s what one six the teams or something one fifth of Team something like that um the champion you’re top 50 unless your league is really weird you’re probably got about a 10 15 Point League you’re always watching it but uh if I’m top 50 I’m I’m there’s just so many points to gain in that contest because there’s so many teams that I’m really focused on that you don’t want to you don’t want to go crazy and play eight closers because you’re down at saves you got three months to go but uh I just I’m making sure that I’m noticing where I may be slipping where I may be gaining where the points are to game for sure yeah couple other quick notes Here uh Cory Seager we mentioned him x-rays are negative we’ll make to make sure if they do any Imaging what the results are there uh David Bednar we talked a lot about last week we talked about rolls Chapman getting picked up uh making progress with his oblique but not throwing yet um just based on that a week in his injury I gotta figure he’s gonna miss more than the 15 days yeah um yeah for sure uh and the fact is they knowing they’re they’re thinner right now I mean the the brave series kind of exposed that Bullpen a little bit but or not exposed but taxed that Bullpen a little bit uh but then again every Bullpen is taxed right now that’s why tomorrow is such a big day for a lot of these teams only three games tomorrow it was only three wow I knew it was I knew it was a short schedule I know it was only three you know why though every team plays on Thursday Fourth of July oh that makes sense which I approve of that message I do too I’m very happy about that yeah that is that is true yeah the uh the the the Pirates played pretty well this I guess they were three and three lost that first game the Reds but they beat the Reds twice and they beat the Braves today I’ve been I’ve been watching the Pirates because I have I picked up Chapman so I’ve been needing needing space up a run today but are you watching your closer Scott uh I’m paying attention to the Pirates I guess I should say no I did not watch the save today I just uh I saw the score and hop that that he did not give up two runs in the ninth he only gave one run in the night so it was it was good there but uh Jeff Mike Trout say he’s gonna come back for the end of July but he has not started really doing anything yet um how much uh how much Faith you put on seeing Mike Trout in a uniform by August 1 50 5050 yeah uh I I’d like to see it so he can get dealt to a team a good team a real team uh I know they won six out of seven this week but that still put them at 10 games under 500 yeah uh I I’d love to see trout in a playoff race I think I think our friend Daniel pre has called them a playoff team right now after the six six game win I saw that it’s fun to see the as a playoff team and you goes It’s funny after losing trout no Tony you know I think he was being I’m hoping knowing knowing Dan I’m I’m I’m assuming it was it was it was funny I got a good laugh out of that one yes uh couple other pites piter notes uh U darish has wasum light throwing this doesn’t seem like it’s really moving very fast we we kind of thought he was gonna pitch last week and then his his elbow was barking a little bit so he has resumed some light throwing I think we’re few probably still a couple weeks off from darish and Blake Snell is gonna have his final Rehab start on Wednesday um so he will be back with the Giants uh not this week coming up but the week after that the week before the All-Star break we’ll probably get uh probably get one um one Blake Snell start before the allstar break which should be Toronto maybe Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday next week time enough to get his fifth and sixth stints on the I this month this year it has been a it’s been a rough uh rough start to the year for Blake snow yes it has uh yeah just and you know the thing is and it’s been a terrible year for Jordan Montgomery too and I I seen recall who was it that signed with the twins like mid like Midway through a season just was disastrous too I I these players are creatures of their routine they’re creature and I I think it’s just you you get such a late start and they’re trying to rush you back uh and I think more often than not bad things happen is that Nelson Cruz that did that it might I think it was I think you’re right and he was terrible I think it was 20 I forget what year that was but there was the year where he signed really 51 of 57 uh main events so if he was not draft and obviously he had the suspension was announced uh before those late drafts so he he was actually more owned in the online Championship because there were a lot of drafts that happened before the suspension uh he was available in 51 leagues the Max on him was 509 the Min was 128 so he did not go for under 100 bucks in any League uh usually you see someone slide through there there was none of that looking at the median it was kind of in the 230 to 240 range uh he was really really popular this week I think it’s a a factor of there have not been a lot of offensive guys really excited about big pickups on offense uh there haven’t been any big pickups at all in a few weeks uh people have a lot of money and they figured might be time to use it Marte is kind of the first one we’re GNA see with James Wood next week to that there’s gonna be another one but noeli was really popular this week he sure was um he went for more than more Fab than we had so yeah he went for 408 which speaks to also our management of our budget this year but someone someone named Main Street I see him was the third that was the third highest bid in the in out of the you can actually break that down even you know that’s publicly available I didn’t know that yeah if you go to uh on nfbc if you go to Stats and then player movement you click main event and then you can click uh see teams yeah oh you can see the team who they dropped what the bid was and what the runner up was it’s pretty cool Bob ight that’s Lindsay Lindy isn’t it yeah Bob enight is Lindy that was the second highest at 421 uh it’s I was just surprised like usually you get a couple of leagues where he slides through low there was nothing 128 was the lowest and then the the Wilder thing about the whole thing is there was not a runner up that was in double Juds either so every single bid had a backup bid of at least 100 bucks in every League that’s impressive yeah that is really impressive people have been itching to spend some of their money there I looked at uh I forget I I think it was Zack Waxman had his his Fab or his Fab piece come out and I were like teams like averaging like 175 bucks more than they had last year across the board something like that so it is a significant amount more money than people have this year than they did uh they did last year at this time yeah um so yeah it’s and that’s this week and next week and there’ll be some others that would but you know every week you lose I it’s just less of an dramatically less of an impact there too so um yeah you should be spending if you if you had the hammer this was a good week to use it see I mean it’s either using it now or you’re trying to get James Wood at next week who has been announced he’s going to be called up tomorrow by the Nationals uh but quick before we get to Wood on on Marte you are the you’re the Reds guy here what do you think uh we see obviously he got got suspension he struggled a lot in in in the minors and his I guess we call it do we call it do we call it a rehab assignment I don’t even know what we call it a ramp up assignment it’s probably better but whatever you want to call it he was he was impressive last year when he played I know it was only 3 games but he looked really he looked like was not overmatched looked ready uh last year when he played for the Reds he had a really good hard contact rate he hit 316 I know the bad was a little bit high but he he looked he looked like he was ready yeah he had as many extra hits on Thursday night in his first game back then he had uh in his entire triaa stint of 12 games he already has two stolen bases going in today I don’t think he didn’t add it to it but point is he can run and the Reds will absolutely run yeah we’ve seen we’ve definitely seen that and Ellie has 40 so yeah yeah uh I I like what he did at the plate uh in The Bigs last year granted it was bad bit fueled again so you know be a little careful with that uh projection on the bad average it even you know regression isn’t always just 10% off it could be more than that too but he he’s had a history of not striking out in the minors you really like to see that he’s like you know kind of in the 18 19 20% range maybe that bumps up a little bit in in you know in the majors but you know you like that he walks a little bit he’s fast uh had 1002 play last year had a 46% hard hit rate so like he doesn’t when the the bat knocked out of his hand anyway um I I like what we’ve seen here and this is a speed power guy and people are desperate for for offense yeah they absolutely are um so yeah it’s uh definitely go go get them uh I love that there maybe there’s some health concerns you never know guy coming off of a peed suspension you know why did he do it why did he really do it you know you know just a remarkable amount of fer fertility drugs in baseball these days but uh I I don’t know um I I I like I like his bad he’s been a elite Prospect all along I think you go get him and of course the ballpark helps too you know and of course he’s going to step right in there’s no playing time concerns whatsoever he’s going to play every day um so there’s that too yeah that all all came together very nicely um James Wood we mentioned getting gonna get called up tomorrow by the Nationals this is a this is a highlevel elite Prospect top 10 for a lot of people uh on most most Prospect boards uh not available in nfbc unless he was drafted or dropped uh this week but obviously any other leagues uh you know any other you know Yahoo ESP any other leagues that he was available you pick him up uh how excited about you for this one Jee he was at 10 home runs 10 stolen bases hitting 350 in the miners uh struck out a bunch last year has cut that almost in half so uh making some gains there he’s walking a ton hard contact 59% um this guy’s been killing Triple A so far this year he sure has um and we’re all super excited about it my main event 30th round drafted and held the whole time no way really yeah Dave Clum uh you know you know Dave uh you know longtime guy he he he’s a high upside Speculator type of guy he also drafted Ellie in the first round at 1.10 so and he drafted Royce Lewis at 310 you know he get want a guy get a guy that is his philosophy and you know in this instance it looks like it’s gonna pay off um so yeah uh I I didn’t get a you know never had a chance to to bid on him could have uh could have I could have spent that 30th round pick too but all my all three of my 15 team leagues that have faab in the nfbc I can’t he’s already rostered so no wood for me uh but next week in the in the 12 team online Championship I will have two bites at the Apple so we’ll see if I get him there but uh yeah again there’s no doubt on playing time you’re worried a little bit about him coming off the injury that he had in Triple A but he’s raging so let’s go and the gats are like let’s go we can we got a chance here to take advantage of this soft underbelly of the Wild Card race let’s they’re gonna try to improve and I like it did you look on your um on your league what uh what his roster or his ownership percentage is uh let’s see I can tell you you go to free agent then go to owner status you should be able to see it even if he’s obviously I yeah I thought he was he was higher roster than I expected interesting yeah so let’s see in the main of I will tell you because yeah you’re having trouble loading that page right no I can load that page I can’t see because he’s not he’s not even available in both my main events so I can’t even he has even come up on our player page 65% rostered actually is he really oh wow did not know he’s that high yeah uh so Prett pretty darn impressive uh that that people are on top of that and then the online Championship I got to imagine it’s a little lower but it’s still yeah 32% rostered in the online Championship so a lot of people were thinking okay you know James Wood was killing it in spring training so people are hoping for maybe the April call up right um so even if he was drafted and dropped people saw what he’s doing in the minor leagues and tried to speculate early which is always a smart play pay attention to who’s been cut and if he got dropped he just would he probably someone picked him up for cheap in your league anyway so that roster ship would not have dropped at all and nobody probably you’re probably it if you missed out on him being dropped and someone else swooped yeah he wasn’t lingering on on waivers if he got dropped and someone couldn’t do it for three months someone else grabbed him so that’s I thought it would be uh I thought he’d be a little more available than that so he’s available about a third of the leagues obviously he’s available in a bunch of online so we’ll talk about him a bunch next week also a first B in Cleveland um John Kenzie Noel uh hit a couple of home runs he was a tough bid for me this week because um he had two home runs this week but he played I think he played three of the five games for the Guardians uh playing time is gonna be weird here’s a righty so he’s on the bad side of plon if he’s platooning but um you know a ton of a pop in the minors he had 18 home runs in the minor this year had 27 last year what’ you do with Noel because I had I had trouble trying to figure out uh how much I think he’s going to play and obviously fantasy wise he’s not playing enough you really can’t play him so the first thing I did was go to YouTube to watch highlights just so I could hear the pronunciation of John Kenzie Noel a couple times did I did I get it right you did every once in a while I did get something right I lowered my bid Nows because of the WR the possible platoon factor and the possible factor that if he slumps he could get sent down I don’t think his his roster spot is super secure right and you know what happened Scott I got him in all three 15 team leagues in the nfbc that I have did you really what were the prices on that I’m curious 49 to 25 in the Maine okay uh in yogurt I always know to lower the bit amount want them 23 to 17 and in scarf the movie I got him 43 to 37 all right that’s uh that’s interesting are you putting him I guess you’re GNA play him right away I mean you yeah well I I have to I mean I I need a we lost will Brennan in one league and you know this I told you I’ve got Mitch hanigar and Adam Duvall and all these uh half part half time half playing time weirdos anyhow so it’s not like I’m missing out on a whole lot but trying to you know trying to time that market oh fun but the Guardians at least the start the week they play the they play uh the white socks and without crochet so yeah the problem is it’s three right-handers so that’s that’s the one thing I’m I’m gonna be battling uh look looking at his bids it was like that that range is about right he was like kind of in the 40 to 50 was the medium he went for a high of 99 went for single digits in a couple of leagues but it was most mostly kind of in the you know 40 to 50 range I’m cing kind of the middle of these bids you’re you’re right about in the right range there maybe 35 to 50 somewhere in there so when we see a team name can you look up who the who the actual person is uh there’s a team named 376 grams who got him had three of the five highest bids on Noel he got them three different times so uh three different online leagues and online two online Main Events and one Vegas main so whoever 376 grams is is a Believer yeah that is that is interesting I probably I probably can tell you that I’m going to look it up while I’m sitting here talking but uh the other uh any other names you liked I mean I guess we should mention that um we got tough one more oh the big thing oh that’s Scott Fleming by the way is 376 grams who is a very very good player has won the uh the Big Mike the mouth $5,000 uh League like three years in a row two two years in a row I think he’s going for three is how it was but um yeah so good player there um got one more big name we got to talk about oh are you going hon kir yes yeah so he was uh he was about 75% roster M but he’s only 19% roster than the 12 teamers obviously had a really good uh week this last week um most importantly he’s hot right now which means he’s gonna play and the biggest issue I think with with last week was we just didn’t know how he’s gonna play we saw that uh you know we saw when guys have come up we saw when Norby came up we saw that guys haven’t played um but it looks like kir dad’s playing against most righties we’ mention all righties he might have said against not sit against any of them he he only got he only sat once this past week he even started against Heeney tonight a lefty that was a that was a weird lineup they threw out there theyou m Castle or something like that because that just threw everything else off but um he started against all four righties and one Lefty uh which you gotta love if you have cure stat and you gotta love that they face five righties this upcoming week uh at Seattle at Oakland so not great ballparks but uh not great matchups against Kirby Gilbert Miller uh although Miller is struggling right now but Medina and Spence over the weekend too so you’ll take that yeah I uh I got some of the good from kir I played him the first half the week but then he sat on Friday so I didn’t play him and then he had a grand slam Grand Slam on Saturday so that was not great but uh and the nice thing with him is he’s uh is he almost gonna be Outfield eligible uh he’s not quite there yet I don’t think I gotta double check on the number of games but he has uh he has seven games in the outf I don’t know if tonight’s Canada there did he did he play Outfield or DH tonight I don’t know have to look um he’s getting he’s close to getting not not utility only which would be very nice for me yes that would be a beautiful thing he he DH tonight so that did not help so he’s at seven Outfield games right now no but he came in he he went to the Outfield late went to I think ohar went to right field went to the Outfield when uas pinch ran for Santan there that’s right that’s what that’s what happened I thought I heard something like kirad didn’t cut that ball off but then they said I guess they switched it over to somebody else um can you uh can you email n FBC didn’t count that to eight then since you heard it on TV yeah it it’s got to be true I saw it on Twitter that’s like twice so uh yeah um so the Rockies uh Rockies have seven home games this week not only did that Rockies have seven home games the Rockies have seven home games then right after that they go four at ciny this is a sweet schedule the next 11 days with the Rockies we’ve talked about these guys I think we find feel like every time the Rockies have a home week we talk about the same guys but Mike toggle is playing a lot um Hunter Goodman I think is up to nine games a catcher if he maybe he might had 10 today Charlie Bachman came back off the I and he’ll probably play every day because that’s what the Rockies do with Blackman um another week where you know they play Milwaukee and they play Kansas City so some decent pitchers in there but you know a full week at Kors and it’s really hot everywhere should be a nice week for hit and for the Rockies yeah it should be um and you know the Brewers starting pitching staff outside of Peralta is nothing special so yeah you gotta like that too they they they fac Dallas kyel this week Jee we like by way that’s the same Dallas kikel that we used to play the major same guy did you not yeah Dallas kikel day is like uh pretzel day and they actually they actually missed Peralta in corfield so he actually doesn’t even pitch there oh that’s even better four games and he pitched today so the that’s Goodman got catcher today by the way thanks for that I knew it was a nine or 10 I just had looked to say if he played today but uh yeah they’re they’re big anybody else you liked uh in in Frey what about Luis Matos in San Francisco getting to uh getting to play a bunch with the with the injuries they have there um yeah I I thought I I wasn’t big on him before so I don’t know um he had that really really hot stretch where he he racked up a bunch of RBI but uh yeah I was I was in on him it was kind of it was definitely behind a lot of the guys we’ve talked about already but uh it’s uh just the playing time is there the Giants are giants are kind of a mess yeah in the twel I picked up cirad twice uh I also picked up Spencer Horwitz uh first and second eligible now yeah and I’m using a corner because I’m finally finding a way to B get rid of aeno Suarez just tired of him uh yeah I had him some one League somewhere and I dropped him so I I am I agreement with you on that one yeah picked up Charlie Blackman in the main I did too to 13 uh so someone better than me also bid 13 so happy to happy to be worse than that person whoever it was uh and I got rid of Jacob Stallings now that uh the Rockies got their catcher back picked up the exer bable Alejandro Kirk not playing that much so I picked up Kirk too he had a little bit of a decent week this week he’s playing more second catcher if you didn’t I I ran into Cory Lee in one League which has worked out nicely but if you still for second catcher I think it might be time maybe maybe get a a little hot streak from Kirk here yeah well I’m playing that game now do dumped bone Naylor picked up Stallings for a couple weeks uh now I’m I’m on the Kirk train so yay and then you did with us couple of AL West guys Armando Alvarez in in Oakland or Miguel s in Los Angeles is back and seems to be playing uh most days uh Hunter Renfro has uh has kind of been running into some balls a little bit of batting average the last couple weeks here uh anybody else you liked on offense because I kind of thought it was these these top guys and it was kind of not much after yeah they they were all in the grab bag portion they were all in the uh water the James Anderson waterfall um but you know yeah yeah it’s you know Alvarez you know 29y old rookie yeah you know good story sometimes the good stories are more ready to contribute right away and he’s got timate upside is lower weirdly impressive like profile 300 last year in Triple A with 18 home runs he’s hitting 311 this so far this year with eight home runs and four steals like it might be a little bit here but you’re right it’s just I mean he’s not much of a prospect you’re just kind of hoping you get maybe a hot couple weeks because he’s you know a little bit older and maybe uh maybe a little bit more ready to hit but uh yeah I wasn’t I wasn’t in on too many of these guys either yeah I I uh missed out on Kyle higashioka last week um oh that would have been a nice 10 RBI this week yeah yeah that would have been nice um King of Queens got him instead and that’s why he’s a defending not a defending but he is a former overall champ and I am a former resident of Pasadena now Monrovia so there you go what about what about offense or what about pitching I’m sorry we just did offense starting pitching there were a number of uh of young rookies that got got the call this week um just a couple of names at the top here David Festa in Minnesota Davis Daniel pitch really well for the for the Angels this week now he gets place to A’s this week Hayden Birdsong and San frco came up with their injuries uh he gets two starts week but they’re rough matchups and then Michael bercado in Philadelphia is gonna come up and you know obviously the Phillies one of the best teams of baseball if not the best team of baseball he’s got two starts a week that the matchups are a little bit rough there but uh what’ you do with these guys I had I had David Fest a good amount above the other rookies that uh that that were they were kind of in the mix I had him above he was just okay in that win over the Diamondbacks they got off to such a prohibitive lead it almost wonder if he kind of like they like just throw it down the middle you know one of those things and you know the Diamond Backs okay we’ll take that uh but Festa strikeout rate in the miners is impressive you know he’s a prospect of real IL uh Birdsong is too I mean Daniel is like that that Davis Daniel is the one I’m kind of not really buying but then I also like his matchup against the A’s this week so I’m okay not buying and still doing okay I had bids in on all these guys and I didn’t get them in a single League um so for what it’s worth at least of the ones that have run so far uh I don’t know if I’ll get Festa elsewhere but uh you know I thought you know we’ll see I mean because we’ll see how long paddock’s out for the uh twins I just think sometimes where you know it’s been the experience that a lot of these rookie pitchers that the leap is pretty big yeah um although it’s funny my my primary target was not any of those rookies um it’s another guy that’s on our next on our list so I I’ll I’ll do I keep people in suspense no Landon Knack was my uh my target there I I like that one just a just a note there were a couple people in the chat that said Festa pitch and relief that’s Matt Fester that pitch and releas we talking about David Festa the yeah twins Festa not the Mets Festa David Festa the twins pitcher who’s gonna start against I think Detroit on Wednesday it looks like his his start so yeah the Mets version left a wound that’s still festering so uh sorry you just waiting for that one weren’t you um dude it was there I mean rip for the taking had to do it the the Fest I mean when I looked at him he just the the walks are going to be an issue is the problem but man he gets a lot of swinging Miss he has a you a 35% strikeout rate in Triple A I know it’s Triple A but 60 Innings that’s a big number uh 16.8% swing strike like this guy gets a ton of swing and Miss um he’s got a lot of stuff it’s just the I think it’s whether he can control or not he had he had a 99.7% walk rate you got to figure that that’s going to um you know it’s going to get bumped up a little bit as as he faces Major League hitters but um any time I can get someone with a good amount of swinging Miss as a prospect I was interested here I did not end up getting him he was uh a little too popular for me I was hoping that the the not great start would maybe maybe bring his price down a little bit it really didn’t yeah um it didn’t uh he was the most I think he was the most added player this week if I all all 57 Main Events he was added in every single League yes he was uh now the question is like you know how much did you pay for that um you know because obviously you’re not paying the the big high price that we saw but still um he was about like 40 40 to 50 was kind of the median on him right in that range there were there were a couple of the people people that got him in under 20 but and there was uh there were three bids over 100 but it seemed like 40 to 50 was kind of the range with Festa yeah that’s right um so uh in my league uh League I am playing in I won’t say it’s mine because I don’t own it I am I’m trailing um so uh but I’m actually doing better now um fought better he went for 31 only so that’s that’s pretty reasonable um Joe McHugh got him for 31 uh the backup bid was 23 I think is that us it might have been us might 23 sounds like a number I would bid at least I like I like your Landon Knack ad um you know you get you get a Dodgers pitcher the Dodgers have a ton of injuries and their rotation is kind of all over the place at the moment he’s starting this week against Arizona there might go six-man I don’t know if James Paxton’s gonna stay in this rotation he’s kind of a mess too um Walker Breer is supposed to come back this week Gavin Stone pitch great we have no idea what’s up with Bobby M he pitched was a two innings last week and it was it was a mess but Nack has been really good so far I know he’s not to like you know blow you away 30 strike like we talked about with Festa but seems like he knows how to pitch I’ve watched him a couple times the ra is really good the Whip’s under one so far he’s got a lot of babit luck so far and some strand rate like this is not he’s not that guy but um I think he might be a you know a mid to high threes guy and then the Dodgers that’s gonna be it’s that’s gonna work out pretty well yeah and I think we were kind of questioning what was going to happen when B Walker beer and Miller return and they said said well they they’re all going to pitch um and you know neck comported himself pretty well earlier too and that’s one of the reasons why I liked him now is because it wasn’t like he was just okay hype guy making his debut he’s kind of got his feet wet a little bit problem is I didn’t get him in the main I got him in yogurt I got him in a online Championship but I did not get him in the main uh Steve he was uh he was 70% roster he was actually available in yours huh yeah he was uh and he went for 31 same price as Festa uh um same backup bit of 23 too interesting um so you know instead I settle for unopposed Albert Suarez so shows what I know um I’m the only person that bid on Suarez what about what about the two start options this week there was uh there’s Mitch Spence in Oakland you mentioned earlier good first start gets the Angels but then he gets Baltimore lingering on the weekend that that scared the crap out of me there uh Hayden West neski who seems to always pitch pretty decently for the Cubs when he starts uh he gets Philly the first start although Don’t Have Bryce Harper or Kyle schwarber so that helps a little bit then they’re at the Angels uh Valente boso for the for the Marlins he’s have two Stars week get Boston and and the white Roy killer boso there uh but yeah uh did you like any of these guys what did you do kind of after the this this this set of rookies that we talked about that I think were you know probably the primary Targets in most leagues I don’t think I was in on any of them maybe was neski um no I I just I I I didn’t I wasn’t interested in most of those guys so I was not really either uh we kind of skipped over Davis Daniel though we mentioned that he pitched really well this week what you do with him uh is someone that was flat out bad in Triple A so far this year he had a 533 ra and a one5 whip uh he had a huge badup it was 378 uh but you know even in 2022 when he threw a lot of innings in Triple A he wasn’t very good he had a four and a half ER he looked really good in his one start and he gets Oakland uh this week so that’s obviously a really nice landing spot for second start face of tigers the first start so that’s that’s a pretty good uh pretty good opening to your to your season there what’ you do with Davis Daniel and are you a Believer at all here I think he’s in the boso camp uh you know maybe you know boso like came straight from double A you know I’m sure they didn’t have much of a game plan for him and I feel like the same thing is true with Daniel uh I think is one of those like okay now we’ve seen him a little bit more at the major league level let’s go attack him this way this time um I I think sometimes you see guys these nondescript uh rookie pitchers sometimes do well in their first timeout and then get hammered the second and time I feel like that that’s the vibe I’m getting although I don’t know if the A’s are going to be able to do that but I I I I really don’t want to be too aggressive on him good good input from Ryan blue here plus he has a first name for a last name a last name for first name but is true I could not figure out Davis Daniel’s name all weekend I was talking to some angels fans last night at a party and I couldn’t figure out it was David Daniel or Daniel Davis but I finally got it today but um to the people in the chat talking about Gavin Williams uh he starts Wednesday Carrasco starting Tuesday so Gavin Williams only gets one start this week two for the next week so that’s that has been uh been confirmed by the by the Guardians right and you can always check our projected starters grid which if you don’t I set you up nicely for that one few years ago I actually Ed a different Source I thought a different source is better that has long changed this is uh I I only use this one I look at it all the time it’s what I spend all Sunday SE it saves me so much time yeah it’s h it’s really good um real quick before we jump out of here Jeff relievers are kind of a mess right now hard to find any closers we talked about Chapman a bunch last week because it was so hard to find them uh the one guy that was available this week is Michael copek in Chicago um I know he’s been a kind of up and down roller coaster had two saves this week they are definitely using him as a closer which is you know a big part of the battle there was a there was a time last week where breia got a save but breia pitched four times this week and was not in save Ops copet got both copc got both the save opportunities he was 63% roster in the main event um I don’t love when he comes in the game but he certainly comes in the game when they do have their very few save Ops so that that means something in fantasy wise it does and it me means that he was not available in my league um is what it really meant but uh yeah I just I feel like we’ve this we’ve had this discussion on him before though you know he looks good for a little bit we go to pick him up and he whacks Us in the head I feel like this is the first time he was more readily available I guess though from the previous whackings yeah yeah it was probably from the previous whackings but um he seems to me like he’s pitched a little better of late um seems like he’s he’s pitching a little better he’s got a lot of strikeouts he’s a 31 and a half% strikeout rate I know the walks are a disaster the 133% that’s the problem but he’s a 14% swing strike rate guy he’s getting a lot of swing and Miss it’s just a matter of he can figure it out but he’s uh he’s pitching uh he seems to be pitching better than he was in maybe the first six weeks of the Season probably yeah and I still don’t trust him um but I think he’ll also get dealt too if he if he has one more month of competence they’ll deal him yeah I don’t I don’t think he goes anywhere to close which is the the hard top part about proba he probably goes set up somewhere unless he goes to the Mets or something and Diaz gets another suspension or you know oh yeah that was let’s not hope that let’s hope that doesn’t uh yeah my other guy here was Reed Garrett just because uh because Edwin Diaz is suspended for the first five games of this week coming up uh last name I want to throw out there um Porter Hodge for the Cubs we try to figure out the uh the who’s next for the Cubs for a while here and uh you know with with Hector nerys just being a mess everybody threw out there in the ninth inning is kind of a mess but uh hods pitched the eighth inning yesterday in front of NYS uh he threw his a is 164 he pitched the eighth inning so if you’re looking at kind of how they built their their game and he he came in with a with a save opportunity not save opportunity but the two or three run lead in the eighth uh but he’s been he’s been good he’s a 34% strikeout right he’s kind of uh a lot of walks too so that’s a problem but uh 1648 109 whip I think if Nara stumbles again which is very very liky Hodge might be the guy get the next spot I mean you’re just making this easy for me here hodge podge opportunity in the B come on uh it’s interesting that on Thursday when he got the save it was the opposite order NYS pitched the ninth in a tie game and then hodj got it in the uh 10th um I’m still waiting for uh Tyson Miller to get a chance uh but I guess I’ll keep waiting on that um although I’m sure you know the second I start to count on him he’ll disappoint he actually has given up a couple yeah not really that much lately yeah he just gave that one that one three R Homer uh whatever it was but that was kind of his only blip really he’s he’s been really good all year yeah uh and just a usage way they’re using him it seems like Hajj might be the uh the guy that would get that would slide in if nerys would stayed being her stayed being nerys that just seems like a random name generator there I don’t know um he’s 23 though look like do Prospect yeah maybe you use somebody that might actually like you might be able see if you can use him later on rather than throwing all these uh these other guys out there but I don’t know just a name if you’re in a deeper League obious should not do this at 12 teamer you’re a deeper league and maybe you got an extra spot there you want to spec for some saves I think that uh I think Porter Hodge might be a decent $1 bit if you can just slide him through and see what happens in a week or so yeah some some people speculating on names that the Cubs could trade for that’s all well and good but they got to be better than seven games under 500 before you even think about trading for somebody also Reds by the way I know the NL Wild Card is a a total mess but yeah you’re not really going in if you’re seven games under but they should trade for a strata well played Michael C that’s rough right there although strad has been kind of rough in his own right lately so uh last before we get out of here I want to talk about one guy that I had on our list here um it feels to me a little bit like Jose Ramirez’s season is kind of quiet this dude is an absolute monster right now two he’s H 280 he has 15 stolen bases 23 home runs and 75 RBI already there 76 RBI I had one tonight uh this is an insane season it’s kind of quiet I feel like everybody’s like it was so much judge this whole month but man Ramirez has been awesome been a top five player so far this year he has uh now given that he’s super reliable anyhow where are you isn’t he kind of like Freddy Freeman where he probably gets underappreciated at the draft table and we we look for like the peak Seasons that go ahead of him uh you know because I I assume he’ll probably slow down a little bit in the counting stats over the second half Cleveland’s been ridiculously hot but um he he has four RBI left than he had last year 156 games that is Cleveland was so weird last year that is a crazy stat he had 80 RBI last year yeah I mean the fact is he’s kind of remained it’s just that the yeah Quan stayed healthy is good in front of him others have been on base in front of him so he he’s cashing in a lot more uh I think we really like look at his like all his like metrics and hard contact he’s just not the same as the guys in the first round he’s just kind of slips because of that but man he just he finds a way to get it done and he’s just he’s on Pace for 30 Steals on Pace for 46 homers like that is a Bonkers year yep it is striking out striking all while striking out 12 and a half percent of the time was just crazy the dude is he’s awesome he uh I just wanted to he just deserves some props the dude’s awesome he is he is uh anybody else you want to talk about kind of have hit that everything um everything we got there anybody else on your mind uh I had gunar Henderson on here he’s not slowing down that dude’s awesome too he’s just he’s he had 31 runs in 27 June games coming tonight’s game which is crazy that’s what home runs and six steals all hitting 355 um we talking about Romero’s a top five player gunar s obviously been a top five player too were you in the league where Springer got cut uh no because I I have Springer was not Le where he got cut you got a Resurgence this week Vlad and Springer kind of had a little bit of you know dead cat bounce even though the Jays didn’t um yeah Springer um Springer had that the 6 RBI 2 home run game Springer is available in three leagues in the main event yeah would you have bit on him like if were in one of those leagues and how I definitely would have what what do you I don’t know if you looked at what do you think his ballpark bid range was I thought it was like a 100 I think I saw it he went he went three leagues 273 174 and 173 okay so a lot more people are desperate for offense and desperate money did there’s been no offense in the waiver wire like almost all year it’s been so hard to find anyone I mean I don’t Springer’s been really bad all year before this week and but you know he’s still a guy that was 2020 last year I I definitely would have bid I probably would not have bid that much though yeah yeah uh I you’re right and I think he was available in one of my leagues and yeah I did get him obviously so I was nowhere close yeah and the the runner ups were pretty good to 86 163 so it was popular it’s just I think that you mentioned before you know looking at 15 team outfielders it’s just it’s death every week you throw George Springer in there you might as well take a shot because you know who you’re not g is either that or like you said Mitch Haner every week again just max sherzer was available my TW by the way wow how much did he go for there uh uh he went four I I will tell you uh you know I bet 153 and didn’t get him wow that’s that’s a strong bid though 184 and I was second place at 153 uh and the other one I had less money he went for 147 I was the3 um so yeah um didn’t get him but you know I put he’s AV in 53 league so I guess he just didn’t get drafted in those leagues right when he was hurt or did he get he get dro many leagues he must you know he must have been on know one of my OC’s was early though one of them was in February so I gotta figured that was he would have gotten he would got dropped dropped early then I guess yeah that that’s all I can think of there um no no he was he was just not drafted because I don’t see a a previous drop on him uh so there you go interesting interesting yeah I would have thought he would have been picked up before this week in leagues where he was dropped because Muny were dropped uh Meyer was dropped but no no Sherer I could just search by Max it’s nice oh there you go uh he was has 53 leagues the the high in the online Championship was 357 the low was 48 on sherzer so he was kind of all over the place the 12 teamers always are but you look in the middle it was all kind of in the 160 to 230 ranges or somewhere I mean obviously you’re adding you’re adding a potentially huge upside starter who knows if he can say healthy but I mean if he does big upside yeah are you worried about the Home Run Derby Jinx question no I think I think it’s silly I think that there’s you could find guys who had huge seconds half after being the Home Run Derby you can find guys who fell off I attrib I saw some study a few years ago that said it doesn’t do anything I I saw the same uh just thought I saw the discussion thought I’d throw it out there especially now they’re doing these things that uh try to limit like the frenetic nature of it there a little bit yeah and I think we don’t get the Josh Hamilton like go up there for 70 swings kind of thing anymore because it’s timed at least so that helps a little bit I think everybody just thinks the Bob a bre won but like Bobby had a Nutty first two months of that season then kind of went back to being Bobby after hitting a thousand home runs in the Home Run Derby but no I don’t I don’t worry but I don’t think we’ve had I mean you know just obviously don’t want be get hurt but I don’t think we have much of that I think not gonna lie I wish Ellie were in it um I wish Ellie were in it too yeah um I wish there was a player on the A’s that I could say I wish they were in it yeah um yeah I just I I want to see Ellie on the national stage a little bit more but man he would be good in that too he’ be he would hit some tanks yeah I want to see the home to third challenge by the way that’s where that that one they’re not gonna do but yes no zero chance of it but man ever since uh ever since Barry Lin got hurt in the uh in the skills challenge at the All-Star game they will never do that again yeah Ellie triples though are just oh yeah they’re just poet I’d like to see him uh Langford and Corbin Carroll race from home to third yeah that would that would be beautiful Ellie probably beats them right he’s probably the fastest of the three I think he’s had the fastest times but yeah oh Carol Carol could flat out move though too yeah and Langford is faster than people realize that was that was on display tonight yeah that he out like outran that throw on the triple like the throw came in he just like he was just faster than the throw it was a little Bo Jackson out running the ball thing yeah yeah B was fun he got he has
