hello y’all we are in Norwalk Ohio uh Clay’s been in an ice cream eating contest he don’t even eat ice cream really not like that in anyway so you’ll see that on his video it’s pretty good he didn’t win though not even close not even close but he didn’t even try really anyway I uh put out a poll about wanting to know what y’all wanted to know about somebody suggested about what he does over here at his little desk and that’s what we’re going to talk about today so hold on I’m going flip the camera what are you doing all over here Nitro Mason 101 so you can see I just got a drum of fuel sitting there that is 42 gallons of 100% nitromethane these cars run on Nitro that’s why they’re nitro cars but according to NH rules we can only run a maximum of 90% percentage and they do that to slow the cars down and so you’ll see most of the drivers mixing Fuel and everybody asked this all the time too why do drivers always mix the fuel pretty simple answer the crew guys want us to stay out of their way so they keep us over here mix and Fu see where that where this is compared to where there is the car is that’s why the drivers always mix F they want us out of the way how do we do that it’s pretty simple but yet a little bit complicated so I’ll take this drum of 100% Nitro and I I pour 5 Gall and 48 oz in it and that basically brings that drum of 42 gallons down to about 90% And then from there I’ll take this device here which is just basically a fancy hydrometer and I will push this down it suck some Nitro up in there and here it will tell me the percentage of fuel and then I make smaller adjustments all the time y’all will see drivers with some something like this I’ve had this forever and ever you can see my little Mark and I will adjust it according to what jimo tells me he wants for Nitro percentage percentage up adds power percentage taking away removes power what am I adding it’s methanol alcohol whatever you want to call it and that’s what we blend it with to bring the percentage down so that’s a fairly simple complicated rundown of mixing Nitro and you will see us check it a lot and the reason is alcohol evaporates really fast so it changes the temperature may go up or down according to temperature and so we’ll take our time before we put the fuel in the car check in each 5 Gall container to see where the percentage is and I know the next question is how much fuel does the car hold we have different size tanks according to uh what we want for weight balance on the car the Tank’s all the way in the front of the car the tank that we have in here right at this very moment is 162 gallons and I’m going to test some of y’all’s trivia here if Doug Herbert started racing again we would put our 20 Gall fuel tank in there just in case we needed it y’all figure that one out on your own I might add you can go watch a video we didn’t do it I didn’t do it leading do it a friend of ours named Ray edings did it y’all go check it out the birth of Godzilla and you’ll see why sometimes you might need a 20-gallon fuel tank I’ll leave that one at that and it’s a good video go check it out thank you um I think that’s all y’all wanted to cooled off a lot it’s done got a it’s almost dark I mean it’s not we going to be under the light you going to see the flames and we going to go up here and get it go let him up [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right guys we made it back to the motor home clay ended up uh eighth we hoping for no rain tomorrow and this is how the provisional number ones went for each category anybody that’s ever competed at anything and I mean I don’t care if you like professionally drag raced or if you bowled in a league some the mission races right Matt won both of those so Matt something Matt Smith 105 in the 60t clocks 674 2011 31 hey Norwalk that’s the quickest motorcycle that’s ever gone down this racetrack a brand new track record for Matt and the denzo folks folks 6748 2011 the speed so Greg and Dallas one and two in the points final two down Derek Kramer number [Music] one 659 I knew there was something out there 20769 give Greg Anderson three points move him to the top to Jr number one doesn’t hold Chevy little Austin little [Music] Bob 3863 327 mph by 2 thousands of a second Austin proc goes to the top with Austin proc a new track record here and uh we heard a mild clanking sound when your dad walked away from the starting line I’m not sure what that was yeah I’m not sure either uh uh but yeah that was a hell of a wick right they’re uh very good uh runs bolt runs by this AAA Camaro SS uh proud to be supporting these colors man uh you know we’ve had a longterm partnership with this and uh with them and great to fly their colors but uh thinking of Britney and John and uh the whole Forest family miss all you guys out here it just ain’t the same um but race cars running good and that always helps a little bit on the side of Doug ketes Champion well that should move dug up a little bit three point 6 9 2 332 mph and Doug coleta by a full tth of a second goes right straight to the top I will be back for the recap for no prep Kings and NH thank
