The PGA TOUR heads to Detroit this week for the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club. Rickie Fowler returns to defend his title after breaking his four-year win drought last year. The victory is his most recent top-15 finish anywhere, but he placed T12 here in 2020 and is also fresh off a T20 at the 2024 Travelers Championship last week at TPC Highlands. Fowler would be the first back-to-back winner in Rocket Mortgage’s history. Tom Kim will tee it up in Detroit after falling to Scottie Scheffler in a playoff at the Travelers Championship last week. The World No. 16 has claimed two top-five finishes in his last four events and finished T7 here two years ago. Cameron Young, who finished runner-up here in 2022, will also be in the field this week. He became the 12th player on the PGA TOUR to post a sub-60 score with 59 in Round 3 of the Travelers last week. A T9 finish on Sunday of Travelers was his sixth top-10 worldwide this year. Others to look for include Akshay Bhatia, Will Zalatoris, Min Woo Lee and Robert MacIntyre.

little wedge for minwu Lee flipping it in in the third hit a rocket off the T just a short one left now get a little closer to the top of the leaderboard third good look for birdie this do gets it to go there’s bir number one Clanton T4 15 under and he does would love to see these two guys draft off each other Frank only five yards behind this flag just a nice little chip there left of the flag it’s going to get back there pretty deep I believe oh that’s a good shot a play about that start by Ry him here with that little seven iron you’d love to cast that in from the opening hole oh he does R out of the gates Birdie on one he’s at 18 under Davis Thompson two runner up finishes in his career 2023 American Express and earlier this season at Myrtle Beach he’s three back just a front flag toight so they can all try and do that great shot [Applause] another birdie putt Thompson at the fifth just a downhill and out the P three it’s a little better this score on the course at the moment Clanton now on the box at the fifth I really try to work the right arm over he’s trying to save that shot it works though at the third CT third straight Miss Fairway for Cameron young and all have been left no angle here but just 83 yards got to play just a little right of it but he’s taking it on Frank he was fortunate just to be far enough past that tree to have a backman too that was really good from there Cam Davis he also hit a really good shot from the left trees to get it to here oh keep rolling and it does it might start here with Cam Davis for example getting set for his third laid well back that from 137 playing close to 155 Johnson yeso playing a lot different than it did Friday we had souly wind and players were actually able to reach but that’s a beauty there for Cam Davis three puted that first but he’s making a little comeback Cam Davis won the rocket mortgage classic three years ago in the mix again today a birdie and oay baa who did make his first bogey of the week at the third hole bounces right back a birning at the four Rico Hoy he’s a 12 under he looks like he’s suffering some from some tennis elbow the way he is oh yeah ohris got that was going to be the one no I want one bad that was going to be our one big week for moo Hoy is at a buck 50 right now FedEx Cup race make a couple more Fran and there you go get one more you’re going to get in the top 10 and uh for Rico that would be the first top 10 of the year and the Amer Luke cranton be a junior at Florida State just 20 years old this for are at the seventh that’s a massive save right there at the Prof he drove it way right he was out of position to eat oh very makeable little chip here for meno the flag stick out and the ball Ino the chef is heating up here up at the green here is the third for Davis Cam Davis has a much simpler shot that one took a peak that was pretty play off for the up slope as we take you back to seven and Davis for the lead yes so the 2021 rocket mortgage classic Champion goes up by one this is Rico Hoy born in Manila in the Philippines now resides in Rancho kukamonga in California and for the second day in a run an eagles three for Rico Hoy at 17 he’s at 15 under that’s tied for fifth at 10 Davis Thompson 104 yard we got to get over a little Ridge got it over the Ridge and perhaps what a shot from Davis Thompson for cam young should get into the hole easily yeah moving a little bit to his right got to get this club going there you go beautiful angle there from our camera operators spectacular shot up to 10 playing alongside Luke is minw Lee more importantly Lee pulls within three another one looking for their first win on the PJ tour did a lot of good approach shots just buries that one too so he gets to 15 under as well [Applause] now at the par 3 15 playing 155 today it’s Eric Cole a what a shot only three birdies at this hole today can cam young make it four and that seven IR never left the flag oh I think he thought he missed that drve absolutely it hit something and kicked straight left take to the 12th hole and here is Luke Clanton his second shot at the Par Four 172 to the hole and look at this shot by Clanton coming from the rough too that is fantastic there it is to 16 under is only good for shorter arms little pull there yeah safe side but did get at the right distance got it over the [Applause] mound Chris what club would you use from you uh I would be at eight iron probably yeah that was well done just do that yet saw that he had it looked like it was behind his right foot he was Delo in so much but then that brings in what you talked about earlier you get that Leading Edge into the ground Eric Cole looking like his best fin of the Year by far as we swich over to the 3 15 and Davis Thompson flies under the radar but has a ton of potential look at this shot right here and a birdie chance for Davis Thompson two years ago he shot a 63 in the opening round here in Detroit and minu Le for birdie took the flag out and it goes in back at 14 Cameron Davis playing his second that from 281 he’s having to go and it needs to go oh H clut but he’s having a crack at this and he’s got tied for the lead and it’s not done rolling careful here no way oh that had enough momentum to roll back in he and I do like dropping here rather than the Drop Zone though I think it’s much easier to control your spin from here I’m with you co stay up on top I’ve got to say there the great Jack Nicholas is also wonderful architect he’s done over 400 courses he says the same as [Music] me must say another good effort he’s puted well he’s had a bit of bad luck that obviously disappointed with the six there but he actually hit two really good shots at the 17 and Davis [Applause] Thompson coming out of the air pretty quickly but it’s on a decent line oh my gosh what a great shot but boy that is that brave I mean Cam Davis would be thinking to himself I’ve hit the best shot of the three by far exactly and I ended up in the water exactly this for birdie for Davis Thompson he’s 17 underp par finished tied Ninth at the US Open just a couple of weeks ago good birdie gutsy play driver driver at 17 to tie for the lead after an Exquisite pitch from the the rough b m Lee what a comeback five Bernie since the double at the [Music] seven Out Boy Oh yes van royan just drips it over the edge all in all pretty good there just unfortunate that would have mean to TI the lead four feet for birdie for [Applause] Davis disappointment of the at 14 the birdie there this is the area of his game he’s improved so much fast working from right to left and it does not go wow yeah it’s a weird putt kind of wished it in he thought for sure it was going the other way y early on it looked like it was kind of working that way and then it just slowed as we head up to the 18 now nicely here we go big shot for Davis good news is missing the hill wasted no time getting in there playing that shot that is well done this is a huge putt to see if we will have a playoff Davis for par and a good recovery from Cameron Davis and he won the rocket mortgage classic three years ago it was in a playoff and now he might be headed for another yeah two pretty clutch up and downs there at 17 and 18 from Davis showing a lot of Courage he got to go not going to get there and a little work to be done a lot of work to be done and he misses C Davis is your champion in MO dude oh my god oh my god wow oh my God that isa’s first three put of the week first time that we have had Andrew shudan on the bag great player I mean that that guy is great Andrew Shoon is fantastic for uh for Cam Davis cuz he was such a good player fellow fellow countrymen thanks for watching the PG Tour on YouTube to watch more click here to subscribe 1. Dear PGA, who's the idiot who decided not to show Bhatia's shots (except for the replay within a replay showing him making a bogie)? This isn't the first time and we are not amused. Bad look boys. Hope it's just another dreadful oversight or training deficit disorder.

  2. Akshay is gonna be one of the best at 22 he’s got some growing to do but he’s been in the hunt lately

To be fair Akshay shot even par , I’m sure not much highlights for him

  3. How does Cameron young not do something on Sunday ? And Joel dahmen goes from shooting 64 68 Friday and Saturday to 76 and no birdies 😂 his caddy is more confident than he is for sure

  4. The commentators need to shut up and let us listen to the shots … and don’t say stupid stuff… Davis hit the 3 wood that landed on the front corner of the green on the par 5 and rolls off into the water … he makes bogey and the guy on the mic says he’s had bad luck … it’s not bad luck to hit a shot over water from 280+ and then having to drop after it gets wet … and then they say that Aaron rai hits a whack driver off the deck , and that cam Davis hit the best shot into the hole “by far” and wasn’t rewarded for it … it wasn’t the best shot “by far” if it ended up in the water and another player hits a driver off the deck and ends up safe and way up the green 😂 it wasn’t as pretty but it was the better shot

  5. Akshay played an ordinary 4th round in two consecutive tournaments after 3 outstanding rounds. Tragic

  6. Sydney boy Davis wins and there isn't even a mention in the Sydney Morning Herald…. shameful

  7. Great highlights package, except to say that it's unhelpful to have the winner in the thumbnail. I know better than to look carefully at thumbnails of these things and yours was at least unclear, but why give away the ending? This was a great example of a day that could have gone to anyone and you remove all the suspense right out of the gate? Make a thumbnail of the overnight leader or something. Why spoil the main storyline of your video?

  8. Woah-i just watched Akshay doing a putter fitting and they were adamant to him hes gotta do that grip…and Akshay looked like he wanted to do as he had been

  9. Akshay played amazing golf all weekend such a young talent cant and fighting for leads!! Incredible talent ! Major winner one day ! Can say he will be wearing the green jacket soon !!!

  10. I”ve been watching golf for years and I can only recognize about 6 names on the leaderboard. I guess the PGA is nothing like it used to be.
