I didn’t really see Vinnie Jones as the hard man that everyone else kind of did to be honest I played against Vinnie when he was playing against uh Jimmy case and honestly it was so funny to watch Vinnie would just go nowhere near Jimmy you know it was almost like a he had this respect thing for Jimmy going on and and Vinnie was completely intimidated by Jimmy K so because I saw that I didn’t really feel intimidated by Vinnie Jones at all see there’s one thing getting a grip on Paul Gasco but another thing with Jimmy case absolutely know your [Laughter] opponent

  1. At last.. Jones was a clown.. There were dozens harder than Jones.. Jones was out of control but Case and others were proper hard men! They ruined careers of others..

  2. Yeh I remember Jimmy Case, hard as nails, Tommy "iron man" Smith was another, tough as old boots

  3. Was on a night out In Southampton years ago. Some bloke walked in with his wife. He was short. had a suit on and a moustache if I recall and everyone wanted to shake his hand. I remember thinking who is this bloke. He looked like he could eat through steel. A moment later we made eye contact and he didn’t look happy. That’s when the penny dropped.

  4. At Liverpool I was always a Jimmy case fan ( I played football with his brother ) and felt that Jimmy was genuinely hard if not a little clumsy at times unlike sourness who was more vindictive and retaliatory in his play…I also played football in and around where Vince jones grew up and indeed played for a team with a bit of a “ reputation “ . Didn’t put me off either …
