[Music] [Applause] [Music] wake up wake up it’s Damon Bruce Larry Krueger with you here on Monday June 24th Larry it’s the last week of June the NBA is finished the Stanley Cup gives us a game seven tonight that’ll be an awful lot of fun the Giants stink so let’s talk some football how you doing man I’m doing great I can’t wait uh to watch Conor McDavid tonight you know is is is the uh is hockey about a team or is it about an individual well you know what the Florida Panthers went up three 0 and you thought it was all about the team the team the team but Conor McDavid is not your run-of-the-mill Superstar and he has been awesome the last three games so tonight Edmonton in in Florida against the Panthers for all the marbles I’m Roo for I’m rooting for Edmonton I want to see Canada get a Stanley Cup I’m on the Edmonton bandwagon I have been since I saw their crowd uh in the uh Eastern Conference semi-finals uh the woman who show showed her rack she become quite this quite the Celeb because of that those cups overfloweth I mean it’s between her and the hak Tua girl it’s uh it’s it’s good to be on the internet I guess but we we’ll get to all that a little bit later um uh so here’s the thing I’m either going to get the team whose bandwagon I hopped on to win tonight and it’s an historic comeback or the Florida Panthers win which means they’re going to carry the cup around their their home ICE which is about as exciting a ceremony as you can possibly get they’ve never done that so either way we got ourselves a game seven I like that an awful lot Stephen A Smith is going to be there I saw him this morning saying he was talking to Shannon sharp he goes the only thing I know about hockey is the puck is black so he’s going on down there uh it should be uh if there’s a video of Stephen A Smith walking into a hockey arena ESPN’s officially pushing it with that but um either way you know Larry I I was just up in in Taho uh the last four or five days it was gorgeous up there great little Family Getaway I was you know I I’m I’m pretty good at putting my phone away when I’m on vacation I didn’t see very much so I came back this morning I look through all the news that I might have missed I haven’t missed much there isn’t an awful lot to talk about right now like you go and Google 49ers news sure certain stories pop up but none of them are really news it’s just talk and content and filling space and you know we’re 10 Sundays away from actual football and and that can’t get here any fast enough uh all draft picks are signed I guess that is the bit of news since the last time you and I talked Ricky peol has his four-year deal there was never any doubt that that was going to happen uh so congrats to all involved Ricky piol is officially a 49er Larry what do you think about that you surprised uh well you know we’re no longer in the in the rookie holdout deal anymore those days have coming gone everything’s slotted so there’s never wasn’t you know there’s really never any doubt that any rookie is GNA sign they’re gonna sign it’s just a matter of when um you know I’m I’m glad to see that all the all the draft picks are signed I mean there’s always news though there’s always news um and and today is no different there’s news today what’s today’s big news because if it’s about Brandon iuk the news is the same news as you’ve been for months I mean that’s no actually there’s new news today iuk put on his Instagram that he is flying to California uh Bay Area bound California says 49er wide receiver Brandon auk is in Cali um we saw a picture of him or a picture of his family or whatever on an airplane uh there you go maybe to Lego Land I don’t know maybe they’re going to Disney little you know Galaxy’s Edge there checking out the Star Wars thing I don’t know look good that he’s in the state of California that’s last time I checked it’s where the 49ers did hang their hat so uh does that mean the deals getting closer to being done I don’t know it just look the stalemate feels like it remains nothing has really changed or developed in terms of us learning about any element of this negotiation no price points have been uh fluffed or put away since Mike silver went public with the $26 million offer we all know that he wants 30 here’s the one thing I have for you though let’s say that the 49ers like officially are frustrated by this and teams have been interested they haven’t pulled the trigger on a trade right I mean that that it they want Brandon iuk on this team this year there’s no doubt about that and every 49er fan should want that too so I I just hope that this gets done it sounds like they’re a handful of million dollars away which means you know they’re close I mean who knows who knows what they you know I don’t know I mean I don’t know if what they’ve offered I don’t know what he wants um I know that Jefferson makes 35 a year I know Alan Ross St Brown makes 28 a year year I know that Mike silver reported the 49ers offered 26 a year Tom peliso was quoted on the NFL Network says if you’re the 49ers you’re saying you haven’t had the productivity that Aman Ross St Brown has it’s not that we don’t want you back if he interprets hey we’re not going to give you 34 million a year as we don’t want you back that’s fine and that’s Brandon auk’s right the reality is he’s under contract for about 14 million this year with the 49ers so you know it’s really going to come down to how dug in are these sides and what kind of patience do the 49ers have for uh iuk side the Niners have all the leverage they can have him play on the fifth year option they can franchise tag him the ne next couple years if they don’t want him to go anywhere he’s not going anywhere all he can really do is complain and tweet and put things out on social media and try to make things uncomfortable and and then the question is how long does he want to hold out uh he’s got he can’t hold out the whole year and have have a year AC crew so we know that’s not going to be his move uh but he could hold out um a significant portion of time including all of training camp all of the preseason and SE into several weeks into the season and still have the year acrew the question is if he shows that he’s going to the mattresses if he shows he’s going to wait till week six or week gate to sign just to make a statement do the 49ers say you know what we’re done with you that’s it now we are going to entertain deals and you know that that’s really the question we don’t know how patient the 49ers are going to be inside their Super Bowl year I mean it makes perfect perfect sense that they haven’t traded him he’s their number one wide receiver they have the cap room to sign him um they’ve stated over and over and over that they want him here long term so to do anything else would be a dramatic pivot and a change of thinking so they’ve been very consistent they want them back but it’s obviously very obvious that they want them back at their price and we don’t know how much they’re willing to budge and they might not be willing to budge at all and if they’re not willing to budge at all then it’s just a matter of okay when’s iuk gonna gonna come to a census and come in and um if he’s not willing to do that or if he wants to make some loud you know half season long statement they could easily get to the middle of August and just say hey Steelers Patriots uh Chargers you know all you team Jaguars all you teams looking for a wide receiver were now officially taking offers and they could their tone could change but you’re gonna get less for that right because now you’re getting a player for just a half a year so that would be you know if we talked about all the different ways this might have been mishandled on either side that would be the last sprinkles on top of the way that the 49ers have mishandled this and you know improperly evaluated their own Brandon iuk Market desires of other teams because look if you if you want Brandon iuk your teamx whether that be the Steelers or whoever if you want to trade for Brandon iuk chances are you have put that package in front of the 49ers already if you’re serious about it now we haven’t got that news I haven’t heard of any formal trade offer hitting you know the newswire anywhere so I don’t think that it’s happened but maybe it has and if you’re the team that’s about to trade for Brandon IU you want him there first of all wait wait wait a second because you haven’t seen it hit a newswire you don’t know if an offer has been submitted there’s all kinds of offers made all all the time that never ever ever get find their way to the media you know that less and less there’s very little you know that that that that happens with no knowledge like if there was an official the Steelers have made a formal offer to the 49ers it feels like that probably would have come out this is a story that literally is one of the four stories that NFL network is sitting on because it’s only one of the few stories that’s an actual story for them to tell right now so I don’t think that this could happen so far under the radar that nothing would happen but I’m just assuming look well there’s been lots of rumors I mean there’s been lots of printed rumors out there there’s awful lot of people that believe they know what’s going on right if it doesn’t come from Jeremy Fowler or Ian Rapaport I don’t give a about some Steelers you know chat room rumor I you know I I I I want real actual credible journalists telling me what might happen here and I haven’t heard any of them tell me that a for a formal offer has been made to the 49ers for Brandon iuk but even if one has like let’s say you’re right let’s say you know things did happen underneath the table we don’t know about it and it has happened the 49ers haven’t bit the best time to trade Brandon iuk was like a couple of months ago around the draft the second best time would be right now the worst time would be in the season where any team that was about to trade for him would want to compensate the 49ers with less because they’re going to get less Brandon iuk no team that is serious about trading for Brandon iuk wants to see that trade get executed in late September they want Brandon iuk working with brand new hey how are you quarterback right now you know so any team if there was any team out there really coming after Brandon iuk I think we would have really heard about that by now and it doesn’t seem that that has happened so again nothing is happen or or the 49ers have you know I mean you the 49ers own this situation they could decide that their first choice is to have iuk and that their second choice is to is to trade auk and that their third choice is to give in auk so just because they haven’t given into to auk doesn’t mean that you know trading him is not one of their choices and yet if it’s not their first choice there’s no real reason you know six weeks before training camp um to you know to to do anything really you’re not really if your first choice is to have him and since you’re inside your Super Bowl window and he’s one of the best players on your team odds are that’s where they’re at then it makes no sense to shop him but at the same time if he is going to dig in to the point where he’s now going to miss regular season games and who knows there’s also the other Factor that’s very much a part of this is what do the guys look like when he ain’t there you know if he doesn’t show up in Camp what does coing look like what does peol look like what does Danny gray look like what are the ners receivers look like what’s the passing game look like if it looks awesome uh that’s not good news for Brandon and his leverage if it looks terrible that’s not very good for the 49ers in their in their price point so by the way you love to start with the rapael 562 ners like And subscribe and you leave it up there for the first hour of the show thank you very much to anyone who likes to like And subscribe thank you for watching um yeah you can take that I like to leave it up there Damon so people see it and then they come in and they’re reminded to like And subscribe so it boosts the stream it boost do you think that do you do you think that that’s the Difference Maker like uh you know rapael told me what to do so I’m in thank you I think people have I think people when they see like And subscribe it’s not that they don’t like the show they’re here and it’s not like they don’t subscribe to the channel they 40,000 Plus have subscribed to my channel uh but if you remind people to like And subscribe you’ll be surprised how much more they actually like And subscribe well then there you go I can’t there you go Raphael 562 49ers he also says good morning Larry Damon and everyone good morning Raphael it’s kind of a little tradition Raphael gets in there early and tells everybody like And subscribe and I do use usually leave it up there a little a little longer now leading remind people if you’ve yet to like And subscribe please do if you hit like that just helps the more people in the algorithm find the show if you hit subscribe and you hit that notification bell every time we go live you will be notified so you don’t have to miss a minute of the Krug show or Damon Bruce PL look at this Sean Turner says I just liked and subscribed did you subscribe on both channels that’s the question Sean you subscribe on the gr show and over on Damon Bruce plus I mean either Sano says hit that like fellas hit that like let me ask you this Larry Dusty gold says we’re all here Larry hit the like we all like you here in the chat let’s say the 49ers got whatever their asking price was and I don’t want to debate what the asking price would be but whatever whatever x equals trade Brandon iuk the 49ers were given the x that they’re looking for by an imaginary team don’t don’t you think that deal would then happen quickly no I don’t think it would happen quickly because there’s no urgency to get anything done and once again if your first choice is to have him and you just you’re just waiting for him to you know come to his censes what do you care if he comes to his censes on June 24th or June 28th or July 9th as long as it’s there’s a soft deadline is the report date the harder deadline would be the first pre season game the harder deadline would be week one the ultimate deadline is the deadline that he needs to report by for the year to ACC crew if he doesn’t report by that deadline then he’s just back where he was you know nothing H nothing changes going forward about this only from the 49ers point of view because for there to be a trade there is another team involved the other team involved would want Brandon auk there for their preseason for their training camp for their in order for the ners to get what they would want in asking for a trade the best offer would come with a deadline saying we want this done quickly right possibly but not necessarily I mean I mean you know what is the deadline I would say the deadline then would be uh I mean he’s a veteran receiver I mean if you tell him run a nine route a nine route for the ners is the same as a nine route for the Rams I mean you know there’s the full tree of routes and then it’s just a matter of what route are you running and there’s some nuances but I mean you know it’s it you can make a transition he’s not the quarterback what is a nine route there Greg papa is that is that one of these or one of these zing zing had draw a nine route right now what would you draw me just a straight line it’s a go route oh go so so why is that called Nine why is that not called 12 like on a why is that called a nine route well I mean you played football right I mean it’s I mean if you go if everybody Googles right now the route tree you’ll be able to see the all the different the nine routes that are basically yeah oh you oh you haven’t gone Googled the route tree yeah I know what theout oh there it is look at that so there it is so the nine is the go route I mean it can be a fade but it’s a go route uh the eight is your post your the seven route is your corner rout so you know you just um basically you’re going downfield instead of going to the post you go to the outside um the eight is your dig um you’re your you know the five is your out the four is your curl the three is kind of a more of a comeback which is could be like a kind of a stop route but then you come back to the quarterback uh the two is the slant you throw the slant and then the the one route is just out in the flat just ball ball to the flat all right there’s your route tree when you hit me with if the if they if they step to the line and they’re like 999 razor chances are you’ve got three receivers all running go routes they say 989 razor then you got the X receiver running the nine you got the Y receiver running the post you got got the flanker running the running running a nine Larry I don’t route tree I puff trees there we go yeah thank you route tree baby you got to know your route tree that’s why when you see like they’ll they they’ll be talking about let’s say a DK medcafe DK medcafe good receiver but he doesn’t run the full tree you’ll hear go you know the problem with DK is he you know he doesn’t get separation doesn’t run the full tree what they mean is he’s not a refined route Runner he doesn’t run every single route he runs go routes post routes you know he he he runs a select group of routes but he doesn’t run all of them you want to be rout Dynamic all right so Brandon iuk can you want to have route refinement in your game route refinement is very important you still want some chemistry with your new quarterback I don’t care who it is right I don’t care there’s no question you know our our buddy Kyle Madson who used to work together with us at 957 the game and now now not sure Kyle is he a producer Sports he’s a host at sack toown Sports he’s doing like M yeah sa there you go he’s at sack he actually just sent me a uh a DM he was at Ikes and ordered a Damon Bruce the other day and he shot me a little text he said I just want you to know that you’re in my mouth right now thank you it feels good that’s that’s creepy but the creepy Madson did write a pretty good article he said um he proposed a 49er trade of auk to New England and it’s interesting um he said if New England won to ship out a package like quarterback Christian Gonzalez and a 2025 first round draft choice the forers would certainly listen well obviously New England’s not going to tr make that offer but you know what that offer is intriguing on on a lot of fronts one if you do want to move off of auk do you really want a receiver back maybe but maybe not right that’s part of the reason you want to trade IU because that you’ve got other receivers SO trading him for Christian Gonzalez who’s a who’s a corner and a good young Corner makes a lot of sense now I can’t believe Elliot wol fron Wolf’s kid who’s the GM of the Patriots would trade next year’s number one which very well could be the number one pick of the draft because New England’s that bad uh even with auk they’re probably going to be a top 10 pick so I think the number one would be off the table but maybe if you were willing to swap your one and iuk maybe if you were willing to trade auk and and Ambry Thomas or something like that maybe if you were willing to trade iuk in a conditional draft choice maybe you could get Christian Gonzalez in that one more than likely it would be Christian Gonzalez and a two but even so Christian Gonzalez and a two if the Patriots are as bad as I think that pick could still be in the top 40 um I think I would do that deal I think if and I like the idea of trading auk to the Patriots one because he’s out of conference two because I don’t think he’s ever going to win there so I don’t think you’re ever gonna have to look up and go man we traded auk to you know a team and now they won the Super Bowl now Green Bay you yeah that might be bad you trade him to Kansas City that could be a disaster you trade him to New England yeah that’s gonna help Drake May and yeah that’s gonna you know be nice for the sports center crowd but the Connecticut fans and the Boston fans but auk essentially is like going to sending him to New England at this juncture is almost like sending him to Siberia I mean he’s never going to play in the Super Bowl almost guaranteed he very likely never makes the playoffs or at least doesn’t for at least another at least in the next two three years in his prime so you could essentially be taking his piece off the board altoe by sending him to New England you don’t have to worry about him biting you you don’t have to worry about him burning you uh and Christian Gonzalez is a good Corner I’d take that and if you could get a pick even if it wasn’t their first even because Madson steals a little pie in the sky but if you could get their second and Christian Gonzalez um or you could get some kind of flip-flop or they give you their first but you give them your second and fourth and third or whatever who knows but that that might be the best decision out there because think about it you’re gonna have to replace Trent Williams at some point they haven’t been able to replace Trent Williams why because the tackles all go in the top 15 picks um and they’re never in the top 15 because they keep going to the NFC title game better so you know might be it might be the smart move um if you actually don’t want auk to hold out and ruin your whole season if he’s taken that approach again look at find the AFC team that’s painful painless to trade him to and trade him there so you got Drake May what you know Drake May knows that route tree but he doesn’t know Brandon iuk Brandon iuk knows the route tree but he doesn’t know BR Drake May so you want them together as fast as possible and if you are the New England Patriots making that offer you know you put that offer on the table with a little ticking time bomb on it saying here it is we want Brandon IU now not a month from now not three weeks from now not before you know right before the I mean it’s definitely a factor once you get to Camp yeah right now it’s like whether you have them on June 24th or July 9th it doesn’t matter by the time you get to training camp Hey you want something big from us you better let us you know have this receiver in time to teach him our offense and get him in lock step with our quarterback so again nothing has changed That’s why nothing has changed the stalemate remains I am completely convinced that if there is a $4 million gap here you figure out a way to smooth it over if you’re the 49ers you take the burden of that put it on the back end of your roster and there you go you know if it costs you a little less depth on the dline to keep Brandon iuk around that’s the right thing to do and if I can go back to today’s thumbnail that Kevin made and he by the way he put our mugs on the thumbnail today thank you Kevin probably drives people away um this is it this is a great shot to win the Super Bowl they kind of have to do it this year everyone knows what the mission is there is but one goal that’s it win the Super Bowl here it is it’s funny Jillian and I are thinking about planning a little vacation the vacation that we were talking about would happen in the week in between the uh the the NFC title game and you know the layoff to the Super Bowl and I’m like Jillian I don’t know if we can plan this vacation here because I think the 49ers are going to the Super Bowl I really do and she’s like you know she’s a big 49er fan she likes hearing that but she’s like what are the odds like really what are the odds that this team goes to backto back so funny that she would ask it’s so funny that she would throw that question out because I can tell her the exact odds what are the odds the exact odds are 16% the exact odds according to Pro Football Focus they gave the 49ers the number one odds or ESPN NFL analytics excuse me not Pro Football Focus ESPN NFL analytics did a breakdown last week and they gave a percentage chance of going to might have been a percentage chance of winning 16% and then what the Kansas City Chiefs are what at 133% or something like that I think 14 they’re they’re second so 16% chance is the actual the actual answer so do you think that the reason why the ners have the number one odds is because they’re really the favorite to win at all or do you think that they just can’t put Kansas in order for Kansas City to win a Super Bowl this year they will have to do something that has never been done before in the history of professional football so it feels like that’s what’s working against him right no team has ever won three Super Bowls in a row if Kansas City does that this year they will be the first who have ever done it so well I mean that that’s the I mean is that a factor within the whole debate well within the whole I mean yes on one hand nobody’s ever done that on the other hand momes in his last two postseasons is like something like 17 and0 or something like that with like or it was like seven and0 with like 14 touchdowns and one pick or something like that he’s it’s seven-0 with like 14- one so he’s been unbelievable so he’s gonna have to come back to the pack in add and and or you know it’s like the part of the if you’re gonna project anybody to win the Super Bowl you got to project Kans them to beat Kansas City and can right now that’s looking like almost near impossible so um Robert Pros is only three teams have lost the Super Bowl and then won it all the next year yeah out of 56 tries only three teams have ever done what the ners will try to do this year which is lose the Super Bowl come back and win it the next time and then somebody in here I think it was some Patel said if you get rid of if you get rid of auk you’re not winning the Super Bowl and I don’t agree with that at all yeah I don’t think it’s and iuk trade eliminates the 49ers from Super Bowl talk in 24 only if it’s for draft choices not if it’s for players not if it’s what you don’t even know who you’re trading him for so he’s not that good of a receiver he’s good he’s not that good right Brandon IU traded for Devonte Adams you know for who for what tell me um let’s see what else we got going on here I mean the reason why I think you want Brandon auk in there right now for everything that we’ve just illuminated is the fact that the one thing that everyone does agree on is that this team is out there marching to Brock P’s beat right now and Pie has completely going into year three here his first full offseason healthy with the 49ers is really taking charge and I saw this story on Niners Nation um you know pie was studying game film with Kyle Shanahan and saw you know he saw occasional lapses going through his progressions his footwork game management during organized team activities and mini camp practices pry clearly in command he’s in meeting rooms and in the locker room his teammates say that perie has been more vocal a far cry from last offseason when he was recovering from elbow surgery and unable to take any work that he was doing into the classroom out on the field with him so this is you know it’s the 49ers off season that they’ve been hoping for that they’ve been wanting they’ve got it and it just feels like $4 million to not have Brandon iuk in there just working out getting everybody back on the same page no more cryptic tick tocking and all that stuff just they should just get it done they should just get it done if they’re just a couple million dollars away just get it done you know I I I you are right the Niners have all this leverage just get it done just get it done forget about the power play forget about winning this deal too just get it done yeah see this is the this is the problem with the structure of the 49ers to some degree is that you know John’s uh JN I mean uh Jed is is is you know in charge and then I get the feeling that Jon is judged by trades so he’s very particular about the trades uh and draft picks Kyle’s judged by the wins and losses so that’s what he’s about and parag’s judged by the contract negotiations and how favorable they are to the team and so I think that that there’s a little bit of you know what in my I’m I want to make sure that I look good in my area of evaluation you know and and I I the Niners could win a bunch of games but if they get a bunch of bad contracts then parag’s not doing his job you know and and JN could make a bunch of great trades but if Kyle doesn’t win a bunch of games and Kyle’s not doing his job so I you know there’s a little bit I I get the feeling that Jed drives the guys in their own area pretty damn hard and they’re really really adamant about uh winning in their area and you know and as far as P’s concerned you know I I think what what I’m hearing is the same thing that I’m what I’m seeing is that if you watch him on in OTAs you watch him in mini camp practices he’s in total command um I’m not in the meeting rooms or the locker room but we’re seeing what he you know on the field and he he taking charge and his teammates are saying he’s more vocal and you know last year he was recovering from the torn ner collateral Li ligament his right elbow and that was his Focus this year um he’s fully healed he’s coming off a break through season they went to the Super Bowl he’s entrenched as a starter there is no Trey Lance there is no but there’s nobody looking that he’s looking over his shoulder at mentally physically yeah I mean he’s he’s taking it to a different level mentally and physically um shanan says he’s definitely ahead of where he was last year at this time it’s been awesome for him to lead us through the off season just drill wise and everything it’s been great to have him for a first full off season so I mean you know there’s a chance you know we talk about all these different factors with the 49ers there is a chance and the the anti Brock py crowd of which there are many it seems um aren’t going to want to hear this because they had decided that he couldn’t improve from his rookie year to his SE to his second year so they really don’t want to hear this but this is the truth Brock pie is improving dramatically from year two to year three and you don’t stay the same you either get better or you get worse he’s working on his game he’s getting better um there’s a chance Damon that his Improvement alone is enough to Vault the 49ers uh up a level and into and through the Super Bowl so you maybe you could say it’s wishful thinking but you know what the quarter we’ve all seen like really good teams derailed by a bad quarterback this would be the opposite this would be a really good team that’s going to get an extra an extra kick based on their quarterback being healthy and and working out all off season and getting better well and not that I think he’s someone who’s necessarily motivated by money but there is a massive difference on the line for a you know a decent season from Brock and a great season from Brock if Brock has a great season sounds crazy he’s the NFL’s first $60 Million Man he’ll get that Brock Pie has a great year this year an Undisputed great year I don’t know if that great year ends up with a Lombardi trophy but at the end of the day everyone you know even the people who dislike them the most all admit holy this guy’s really a good quarterback if that is the truth he is going to you know be the guy who resets that entire quarterback market and it feels like this is something that you and I were talking about you know last week the NFL needs to do something here Larry the NFL cannot have a billionaire class position for quarterbacks and just working class everyone everywhere else because we got to pay the billionaires their billions and you know then everyone else gets the crumbs left over football can’t exist with that being the reality of how teams are built it really it shouldn’t um so the NFL needs to I really think address growing quarterback salaries and needs to address it with a dramatic decision that either has you know the the quarterback you resign not count against your salary cap or count dramatically less against the cap percentage wise based on how much they’re being paid something has to happen because let’s say Brock does get to 60 well we’re only a decade away then from a quarterback making a hundred million yeah but see I mean who who cares I mean it’s all tied to the revenue it’s like if if if the revenue reflects it then to me it’s not that the quarterbacks are overpaid it’s that everybody else is underpaid this is the most most uh uh popular sport in the world world I mean the this is the most coveted thing there is there’s only so many NFL players to me it’s not that the quarterbacks um are making too much it’s that the rest of the guys are making too little right I mean look how popular the NFL is but unless they grow that pie it’s about slices of pie and if the guy is getting half the pie leaving half the pie to divvy up with the rest of the team that’s also an unsustainable model to win and you know you’re you’re the one talking about how numbers count these these salaries matter and I agree yeah the but but the salary cap is going up that’s why that that you you know these quarterback numbers are not going up in a vacuum they’re going up in relation to the salary cap the cap is going up they’re out growing the growth of the cap though so dramatically like so then the cap but I mean okay so they’ll make some form of an adjustment but really the problem is not that quarterbacks make too much it’s that the guys make too little that’s what I think I would agree with you I mean look at look at how much money there is in the sport I would agree with look how popular this the solution will then never be quarterbacks make less to be fair to you guys so something’s gonna have to be done again a mechanism is going to have to be built in to the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement that allows quarterbacks to make X and the team to make Y and not have a battle between X and Y taking place like sure I mean the NFL the look you and I have been saying this for years why why wouldn’t the NFL grow all rosters to 70 guys right now why have these restrictive onc competition ability to keep your own players why would the NFL do this well the NFL has decided to do that the NFL wants to rip apart success and reward failure in terms of how draft picks are allocated and you know money to be spent and all this stuff I just think that that the NFL needs to address this with you know okay so look if if the NFL is willing to say yeah the salary Cap’s going to go up $100 million next year then we’re good they don’t do that it’s going to be a headache well we’ll see we’ll see I mean I personally I don’t really care that much about the cap so I don’t want to get into it too much but no no no no no no no you can’t play the I don’t care about the cap over here but we care about it dramatically with Brandon iuk well I don’t care about I don’t I don’t care about the growth of the cap and if the NFL puts some artificial uh rule in place to put a drag on quarterback salaries nor do I care what percentage um the quarterback makes of the cap as opposed to the defensive tackle I’m just saying that to me when you really look at the money that’s in this sport there is when you talking about the money that’s in this pie we’re actually analyzing the pie itself there is no Revenue pie of any industry in America that looks anything like the revenue pie that the NFL enjoys there is no business there is no industry that I know of right now that goes up from s billion doll pie to a 12 billion doll pie to a86 billion doll pie in like a three-year span that’s where the NFL is the NFL has and they’re only just discovering brand new revenue streams as we speak so you know when they run out of discovering new entire revenue streams maybe then I’ll be concerned about their finances and how they split up the profits until then I really don’t care they just stumbled into um you absolute windfall with gambling and we don’t even know the beginning impact of that gambling you know we’ve seen the the Manning brothers commercials and you know they’re advising everybody to be smart but at the end of the day there’s they’re making money hand over fist and that’s going to make the cap just go up dramatically so that’s kind of why the the the sky is falling with the cap people always fall on deaf ears because you’re talking about a moving you know if you knew for sure what the cap was projected to grow at and where it was going for sure it would be one thing but since they’re discovering new revenue and their TV partners are setting new records every time their the bid comes open for the rights to any of these games you know it’s like at this point what are we talking about we’re talking about an exploding Revenue pie an absolute if any other business in America had this kind of Revenue pie they would be like whoa right we don’t even know what to do with it and at some point the only way to get better because they will have grown it you know that the the NFL bubble all bubbles bursts right so the NFL bubble can only get so big before it pops the way to to really get even more eyeballs on the product isn’t whoever the next Taylor Swift is dating whoever the next Travis Kelce is going to be it’s going to be your product is better like the game that was a dud is no longer a dud because these teams are together and they stay together and this to me would make the NFL a better product if the salary cap wasn’t the reason that good players had to be cut and you you know the player that you want back is now impossible to get back because you got to fit him into this completely arbitrary number agreed upon number that everyone’s got to fit under the NFL would be better if teams were able to stick around together and play together longer this is something that Steve Young has talked about incessantly all the years that I’ve ever heard Steve Young you talked about how it’s such a difficult dance to coordinate when you have a new dance partner every other year you got to go right back to learning the first couple of dance steps with everyone so the longer you stay together the more you learn about dance steps and you just get in sync with everybody and it makes the product better I think the NFL needs to ask itself what’s the best way to grow this Beyond adding games it’s to take the games that you I mean it’s not just about the money though it’s about it’s about other things it’s about practice time it’s about you know how much time do they allow these these players to practice together how much time do they allow the players to be in the facility you know quality of product comes you know you you have to have a certain amount of of field time together and they keep taking that field time away minimizing ing it they used to have two a day practices they used to have longer training camps now they’re they’re you know they’re they’re going to Shorter camps and no two a days and this and that so it’s definitely changing I mean the sport is definitely changing um but the revenue is there the revenue is there and it’s growing and and we’ll see where it goes but ultimately um you know right now it’s a it’s a it’s it’s a revenue pie that knows no end so we’ll see where it goes but I I definitely would be in favor of growing The rosters um but that’s going to take um a level of commitment that I don’t know if the NFL wants to you know commit to um they have enough money right now to offer total lifetime medical coverage to everybody whoever plays it down but they don’t so why don’t they even though it would be a tremendously strong PR play they obviously feel like the cost of it uh is prohibitive but they’re minting money so it’s it really makes you wonder the answer is great the answer is Greed from the top which by the way is the answer to just about every question that’s plaguing America right now greed at the top is killing everybody greet at the top this guy says the NFL makes more money than the NHL MLB MLS and NBA combined do we know that is that rede throwing that out there is that true oh I’m sure it is I mean first of all the MLS I mean MLS makes nothing um football revenue is massive absolutely massive I mean I’m not here to argue I just want to know if that is absolutely true though I don’t I don’t know I’m not a I’m not the fact Checker but we could check it not today though we’re not going to check it in real time I did see George KD again going back to pie saying he’s in the building every day he’s the same guy every single day he’s consistent he’s incredibly competitive it’s fun seeing him yell at guys when they don’t know their route depth or have the wrong landmark and then he gives us uh one of the alltime you know just kind of quotes the gunga galunga if you will you know Bill Murray and catty Shack he looks like the guy which is really nice the Daly Lama leaned in he said gunga Gung gunga which means I will have everlasting Clarity in my moment of death which is nice I some you know which is nice yeah this is Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area got that out of K he looks like guy looks like the guy which is really nice he’s in the building every day he’s the same guy every single day he’s consistent he’s incredibly competitive it’s fun seeing him yell at guys uh when they don’t hit the route depth if they have the wrong Landmark he’s taking control of the offense and making it his yeah I mean you know I mean that’s that’s what you want to see you know and once again it goes back to the people that have decided that Brock pie could not improve from year one to year two those people probably you know felt stupid after watching him do exactly that from year one to year two but now that was after an offseason where he really didn’t have a lot of field time where he was managing his rehab and trying to learn and get better now he’s got no rehab he’s just out there learning getting better taking command um it’s his team you know it’s his team and and you know let’s say Brock can get I don’t know I mean it’s hard to know right because it’s it’s a human being but how much better can he get can he get five% better can he get 10% better what if he can get like 25 or 30% better what if he can get significantly better if he gets significantly better you’re talking about a guy who’s gonna probably be the MVP of the league you’re talking about the MVP of the league now the 49ers are probably going to win 12 games and maybe have uh you know HomeField advantage throughout the NFC playoffs so you know I don’t know I’m not sure exactly I think it’s logical to believe that if Brock pie got better from year one to year two with the surgery and the rehab that he’s going to get significantly better from year two to year three and if he gets significantly better could that alone be the factor that vaults the 40 9ers pass the Chiefs into the Super Bowl and to the top of the football world and you know what I I would argue yes I mean think about it this way there’s all kinds of teams where you’re like man that’s a good team but man the quarterback’s weighing them down well if the ners found their franchise quarterback and it took them 25 years to do so and now that franchise quarterback is I don’t know 20 25% better than he was last year and he was in the MVP conversation last year that alone might be enough to make the 49ers that Super Bowl winner that we’re all looking for them to be so it’s it nobody wants to have that conversation because it’s like too positive about Brock pie and being skeptical about Brock py seems like the smarter play well the play that gets you clicks right it’s the play but it’s also it’s negative always sounds smarter than positive right if you say hey man I think 49ers are going 13 and four um and then you go you know what I hear you but I’m thinking more like 10 and seven you know whatever you know it’s like the guy who says 10 and seven always sounds a little bit smarter because he’s a little bit more negative more skeptical more you know just just doubting skeptical sound like a homer if you’re coming but like if you say let’s say you say hey Niners are gonna win 13 games man I’m thinking 13 and four and I come back and I say hey you know what I agree with you but I think you’re re I think you’re off I think they’re going 15 and two well what you then sound smarter because you your number was lower I sound more like you know emotional because my numberers higher but I’m just saying the quarterback has a huge impact on things and it’s very reasonable like we used to do an exercise with the Cardinals Damon and it was a basic exercise we did it in the offseason at our meetings and the meeting was we would go through the roster and every single guy in the roster we would point we would have an arrow and the arrow either had to point up down or horizontal so in other words the players getting better the players getting worse the players staying roughly the same and when the when the when you can point to the quarterback on this team the arrow is pointing up it’s not pointing sideways not horizontal it’s not pointing down it’s pointing up and the guy was already really good I’ll give you and is that enough to to to take the ners from man they were one of the best teams in the NFC they won the NFC they weren’t that good in the playoffs but they won the NFC uh and then they lost to the Chiefs could that be the difference right there the Improvement curve of Brock pie I would argue it probably could be it could be let me give you a little uh either or question you can have have Brock pie get 5 to 10% better or duplicate last season almost identically same numbers same production as last year but the defensive line plays better that’s probably enough to win the Super Bowl yeah like that’s the thing that’s a big that’s a big that’s a big question too it’s like is the is the super is the defensive line better you know like like I’ve seen coach Yak put some incredible film out of Malik Collins doing you know drills uh he’s in Jordan Elliott’s in um Leonard Floyd’s in uh they brought in Shaquelle Brown and Evan Anderson but gone are Javon kinlaw and um Eric Armstead and you know and others you know obviously Chase young uh Randy Gregory um you know is the right way to those guys had bigger names and reputations Gregory and Chase young you can just call them others I mean you can get the same amount of production out of the next guy as you got out of those guys um because they didn’t do much I just think that to put it all on Brock to put it all on Brock is is you know that that’s just not how football Works Brock was good enough to win the Super Bowl last year he absolutely was Brock isn’t the reason that the 49ers didn’t win the Super Bowl not at all wasn’t his fault wasn’t his fault so you know I I I think that yeah him getting better would would you like a quarterback to be better or worse uh I’ll choose better sure G give me that I’ll take that but the 49ers just being better defensively is how they win a Super Bowl that’s how close they are that’s how close they are the the the 49ers you know if if winning a Super Bowl is a screw that you’re screwing into the woods then the Niners are just a couple twists away from winning a Super Bowl they really are they they’ve been that good for this long I saw somebody complaining oh the ners they’re kind of an older roster they’re the oldest roster in football well this is what happens when you keep really good players in one place and you’re not just constantly turning over saying we’re done with that veteran would rather see what the next rookie can give us the 49ers have had a reason to keep the footballs uh to keep football’s oldest team you know on their sideline because these guys can play coach yak you just brought him up I saw him tweet over the weekend again I did a good job putting my cell phone down up in Tahoe every now and then though I did open Twitter to see if I missed anything I I saw that CBS did a top 100 players in the NFL 49ers got nine of them they’re the most the ners basically have 10% of the top 100 players according to this list in order number three Trent Williams number eight Christian mcaffrey number 10 Nick Bosa number 22 Fred Warner number 37 George KD number 45 Brandon iuk number 60 javarius Ward number 81 Debo Samuel number 85 Brock pie which is a little nuts to have Brock pie the last guy on the ners list you’re honest but I don’t want to argue with the list the whole point is this team is stack there’s a lot of talent here well built well coached ready to go there’s one thing to do one and people say oh their Super Bowl windows closed Crocker the Super Bowl windows open as long as we have Brock and Kyle the the ners have some older players but it’s for the most part I mean how many players do the 49ers have on their all 90 man roster right now that are over the age of 30 what five I think it’s like nine is it I mean maybe they added a couple more with Leonard Floyd couple the free agents um but it’s not it’s not a high number I mean you look at the 49ers um they’re I would say you know they don’t it’s you know I don’t know if it’s an old roster I mean is it really Trent Williams is older uh KD’s older uh juice is a little bit older um on defense you had taan Gibson last year he’s a little older I guess harra and Floyd now on that front those guys are a little older dandre Campbell I mean it’s it’s still a relatively young football team I I see I mean that’s the the team that I’m looking at is still relatively young um I actually put up a list last night I was going through the Niner depth chart just taking a look at where they’re at and I came up with 12 players that I think are Wildcard players what I would call wildcard players for the season ahead and what I mean by that is that we don’t like their floor and their ceiling have not yet really been defined like you know not really sure how good they are or um but they but we you know there’s reason to think that these guys all have talent and it could go either way how about this I know for a fact Drake Jackson’s on your list Drake Jackson is probably he’s not on my he’s not actually on the list no he’s not on my list right now he’s in a he’s in his own no because he’s no because he’s his knee is is is not letting him get out there and I got to see more from him before I mean I’m I’m more skep on Drake this is year three um if it was going to happen it would have happened by now probably with that totally big year for a defensive lineman especially one who’s been dealing with injuries I like to me Drake Jackson is the kind of guy who’s the poster child for this I don’t know what we got you could have a very significant talented NFL player or you could have a total bust a guy who doesn’t make it in this league doesn’t get to a second contract it could go either way right now that way for Drake Jackson so to me okay so let’s go go through your list I I I’m not I’m not I’m not um as enthusiastic right now about Drake because it’s it you know there’s there’s strength issues there’s physical issues there’s you know and it’s like I I’m I’m you know him and Beal I’m like kind of skeptical at this point um okay so this is what I have as far me and you know it’s all subjective okay here are the here’s guys that I think are wild card factors based on what I’ve seen of their career and where they’re at uh Danny gray I think Danny gray still has something there he can really really run no idea I got no idea like d never had that and three sack game against Pittsburgh right so Drake Jackson has done it in a game Danny gray hasn’t done nothing in this league I’m nothing well right he he’s been hurt a lot I mean they both been hurt a lot Jackson but at least he’s done something right Danny Gray’s done nothing not a whole lot more I mean not a whole lot more Danny gray is in a more competitive situation because he’s not even been up on game day you you know the first thing you got to do is you got to get up if you can’t play on game day it’s hard to play it’s hard to make plays when you’re not playing so he’s he’s been hurt a lot but Danny gray looks really good in Camp and he’s healthy and he’s running around and he’s got 433 speed and decent hands whatever even it when I see it I don’t I don’t he’s a wild card he could be he could be good he could be he could be good he could be very good or he could be cut he could be cut um Dominic Poney he could be good he could be very good but we don’t know uh Braden Willis has looked very very good in this OTAs very very good in this off season he’s definitely improved from last year how improved can he can he make an impact I mean he looks like he could be a well above average receiving tight end so um based on what I’ve seen this this offseason um I’m going to throw Tanner morai in there because I think I don’t know what morai is I think morai might be good enough to beat out uh dos and Allen I’m gonna put Cody shider on this list as well because Cody shider to me is the first team all SEC running back who look good in the OTAs so so there you go there’s Five Guys on offense on defense um I’ve got the six I’ve got Jordan Elliott who a lot of people are skeptical about but Jordan Elliott but I really kind of like him I think he can go in any direction um the two backup defensive tackles Shaquelle Brown and Evan Anderson both those guys look really really good in their pads at mini camp Anderson is really really strong and now is down to 315 pounds and looks kind of quick and Shaquelle Brown has just got ridiculous speed and strength and size so those two guys are definitely wild cards D Winters and Jaylen Graham definitely wild cards darell lutter definitely a wild card and um and Isaac yam who they just brought in from the Saints definitely a wild card I he had a great year last year he had like eight pbus and he only played like 12 games so um that’s 12 guys that you know I don’t know what they are like none of those guys did anything last year for the most part Danny gray Poney wasn’t on the team Braden Wills didn’t play morai Cody Sher Evan Anderson weren’t on the team Shaquelle Brown wasn’t on the team Jordan Elliott wasn’t on the team Winters they didn’t he did nothing for the most part Graham lutter played a little bit little bit um you know at the end um yam was with the Saints I’m just saying these are guys that weren’t really contributors or even on the team last year that I think are kind of wild card factors this year as far as what they can contribute and if you go 0 for2 then you’re probably not going to be a Super Bowl team if you go 12 for 12 you might be a very very you might be a very improved football team and you went to the Super Bowl last year so it just kind of shows that when you really look at the volatility of an NFL roster the Niners for the most part look very similar roster wise to what they looked like last year but when you really look closely at the names I just named you 12 guys who all have talent who’ve all shown different degrees of of uh production in this offseason OTA time none of these guys did anything last year so if these guys step into the mix and and produce this year you get 12 guys coming in that didn’t produce last year that they’re producing this year that might be enough to cutting who are you cutting to make room for you just basically gave us beond puny the 49ers practice squad that’s what you just gave the 49ers might have the most loaded practice squad in the I think I think Braden Willis makes Braden Willis makes the team for sure I I think Cody schraer can make the team um definitely Jordan Elliot’s making the team definitely D Winters is making the team definitely derell lutter is making the team definitely uh yam’s making the team I mean there’s those just several of their new additions you know it’s like if their if their new additions don’t do anything they’re probably not going to be a Super Bowl team but there’s 12 guys there that all look good right now well that’s that’s the thing we know the ners like Drake I would put Drake on there if he’d looked good but Drake is Drake didn’t even get out there this he’s not he’s just out on the side running around those those 12 guys are out on the practice field on the depth chart and they’re looking they’re all looking pretty good yeah but so my question is any of those guys come of age they’re better actually had production in a game a real live really not really he had one game last year he had three sacks in week one and he basically didn’t play at all that’s one more game than mostly everyone on your list has ever had you know I mean he’s a defensive lineman Damon defense backup defensive lineman play backup um you know wide receivers don’t even get Act on this team you got Debo look at this team I mean I mean Danny Gray’s been hurt and he hasn’t been able to get active Drake Jackson there’s been a need for for him and he’s not been able to answer the Bell it’s not like they they’re going to Danny gray and Braden Willis we need you and they’re like ah we’re not doing we’re not here for you uh those guys have had injuries and there’s they’re really young players um Jackson’s had some injuries but he’s also had opportunities and he hasn’t been able to make it happen he hasn’t made the most I’m a little worried whether or not he’s got the strength and the talent to do it we’ll see hey it’s it’s it’s a I mean nobody’s a bigger fan than of Drake than me I I think I might be a bigger fan than you just a little bit Yeah but uh look what I mean I’ve talked to him a bunch of times I I like the guy you know we get along great I would love to sit there and Sh and Shout his Praises but I don’t do that just for just for kick I only do it if you deserve it if he if he gets healthy gets stronger gets in the rotation and starts to produce then we’ll start to talk about him again until then I’m just gonna wait him and him and Beal are you know we’ll see we’ll see I’ll say this you know even though I’m Dickering over who’s on your list or the validity of your entire list your overall point is well received the top of the roster really doesn’t have that much room to get better all you guys come back give the ners basically the same thing that’s Pro Bowl level production from the top of you guys the real production the real difference making level of production is the back of the roster you know that’s a difference between the 13- win season or the 11- win season right the guys who you’re not expecting a lot from there’s nowhere to go butt up for the back of the roster as long as the top of the roster doesn’t come down that’s how the ners Get Better by raising the floor of this team with the least of its players not the best of its players so yeah I mean that they’re loaded they’re absolutely loaded the guys who don’t make the 49ers whoever the 54th man is on Cut day the guy who didn’t make the team he will be picked up immediately by another team the ners cut down day decisions will be signed in other NFL cities within 24 hours of it happening so they got talent they’re they’re they’re well built they are good you said you saw something and I hate these conversations they’re just this is why Sports Talk Radio sucks without you and I on it Larry because they have these types of conversations 49ers Mount Rushmore all right what do you got what what do you got what do you got Larry oh somebody had this this week and you know so it’s the obvious it’s young this is Dan’s Dan loves this it wasn’t it wasn’t Dan it was well it could have been Dan it was I I saw it online but it was Montana young rice and lot and I thought to myself yeah there’s there’s no doubt that’s their that’s their Mount Rushmore right there um and I don’t I was thinking the guys who are for sure are Montana and rice the guys who were you know a little bit less sure would be Ronnie and and uh Steve but I I think they’ve got the right four and I don’t think I don’t think you could really debate that too much um there’s other guys who were great they also had there also was a NFL Network show this weekend and I saw it last night I taped it um top 10 49ers of all time and they’re doing this of all you know top 10 Eagles top 10 Seahawks top 10 you know they got an hour for everything so did you have you seen the top 10 49er list of all time no and by the way there’s a lot of people saying that on your you know you you got to get your uh you know Bill Walsh on your Mount Rushmore that’s obviously we’re not including coaches here players yeah I mean that’s the thing I mean where’s Walsh um and then you know I mean there’s no to to’s pretty freaking great uh but then he played half his career elsewhere um and you know I think of Bryant Young he’s pretty he was was Bryant young as good a defensive tackle as Steve Young was a quarterback Frank Gore run for more yards than anyone else in a 49ers uniform but I’m gonna tell you right now Christian mcaffry is a better football player than Frank Gore ever was so um well not to mention Roger Craig not to mention guy named Roger Craig so this is the top 10 Niners as they had them on the show all time all time this is all time all time uh do you want me to go from 10 to 10 to one or 1 to 10 no go go from uh 10 to one okay number 10 on the list top 10 49ers of all time number 10 Frank Gore number nine Charles Haley number eight Dwight Clark number seven Roger Craig number six Patrick Willis number five Steve Young number four instead of going with one guy they went with four guys they went with ya right there you can’t have 14 guys in your top 10 get the out of here list yeah million-dollar backfield is listed as number four with ya tile Joe the jet Perry Hugh Mel Haney John Henry Johnson all four of those guys were Hall of Famers they put him in there as one at number four no so we know number three number two and number one we know who they are it’s just a matter of order um how would you have one two and three greatest ners of all time well this is debatable this is this is this is a little bit debatable to be completely honest so look I I’ve asked guys who have been you know 49er season ticket holders forever guys whose Sports opinions I really really care about you know about who who is better Joe or Jerry because that’s what we’re really talking about here this is a Twan race Joe or Jerry Lots number three and Joe and Jerry are the final two who’s number one who’s number two has the myth of Joe Montana so like dwarf the real it that we got this wrong because Jerry Rice is arguably pound-for-pound the single greatest most productive player in the history of the sport right no one was ever better at any position than Jerry Rice was at wide receiver you know maybe Lawrence Taylor an outside linebacker maybe but Jerry R you’re saying nobody’s ever been as good I mean Devin Hester is the best return guy of all time he’s going to the Hall of Fame this month he’s probably the best returned man of all time but there’s Dion there’s White Shoes Johnson there’s others but I would say Devon Hester is the best returned guy of all time as far as hands down unquestioned best at their position there isn’t really I mean is is there I mean is Anthony Munoz considered the best offensive tackle I guess maybe maybe Trent I don’t know but I mean Jerry is definitely the number one wide receiver right and you could argue that blips of Randy Moss’s career were better than any one single season that Jerry might have had but again Jerry’s numbers still so thoroughly outpace the rest of football history as all of the league has bent to the benefit of catching up with Jerry Rice for wide receivers that are behind him none of them none of them are even in shouting distance of the guy so he is so far and away pound-for-pound the greatest wide receiver ever no one’s even come close close that I don’t think that there’s much debate having said that I think Joe Montana is probably the greatest 49er of all time and it’s not just still Montana it’s not just my Nostalgia that does that a buddy of mine yeah I gotta introduce you you guys would get along so well Larry and he loves you because he’s a big K&B guy when we were on it in the Heyday his name is Phil Spiegel he runs the H brook house uh and uh big USF Don’s guy great guy Guardsman Phil Spiegel really good friend of mine and I was talking with him about this like Phil and I could do a podcast like that’s how much he knows about sports for a guy who works in bars and restaurants he know he is a walking Bay Area specifically 49ers and Giants historian the two of you would be on the same page you’d be best of friends and I asked him I was like what seriously just Joe Montana there’s everything I think I know what do you think you know and he’s like all I can tell you is that he won under any and all conditions like however he had to go about winning that game that’s what Joe Montana do where things needed to be right for Steve to really win every game that was a big game he was in where Joe could make Shinola out of total and he did in that you know in the classic the the catch to Dwight Clark Joe Montana sucked that day I mean Joe was Joe before Joe was Joe I mean you know here and this this was a debate that happened a lot when um when he played because Walsh was so great did Walsh make Joe did Joe make Walsh and there were people that would make their arguments on both sides well you know hey we did it again with uh Walsh had a nice Walsh had a nice career but Joe Montana was Joe Montana before he was a 49er and Joe Montana was Joe Montana be after he was a 49er and so Joe Joe was Joe was The Comeback Kid at Notre Dame Joe was Joe was you know a great player at Ringo High School Joe is Joe was awesome and the Niners had Steve deberg deberg had an awesome arm he was huge guy with a incredible arm um but they didn’t become the ners until Joe and so and then he went to Kansas City and he beat the ners and he went to Kansas City almost took them to the Super Bowl Joe Montana you know was was the was the difference I mean um Walsh Walsh had a great offense Walsh was a terrific coach taking nothing away from Walsh Walsh’s tree is the best he’s one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL but if you had to argue one made the other I’ll argue that Joe made Walsh more than Walsh made Joe well we sort of ran this experiment just 20 years later right with the whole Tom Brady Bill bellich thing Tom Brady was able yeah but bich was a defensive coach so he wasn’t even anywhere I mean you know he didn’t he didn’t make bra I mean nobody nobody with a brain thought that that Tom Brady was made by Bill bellich you know I mean there the defensive Mastermind somehow made Tom Brady awesome no Tom Brady was awesome and Bill bich was awesome they’ve been debating this in Massachusetts for for but they’re not even the same skill set right but when when the whole like well you could argue who’s more valuable but as far as Tom Brady was not made by Bill bellich you know what I mean Bill bichi barely even involved in the offense I mean he had offensive coordinators he’s he’s not an offensive guy he’s a defensive backfield coach coach as long as it says head coach on his business card that’s that’s that you know whether he came from the defensive side of the ball or the offensive side of the ball whether you had Josh McDaniel or uh you know um that’s like saying Mike dick make made the 85 Bears he did he didn’t he did they had one sh no he didn’t no he didn’t it was Buddy Ryan it was the 885 bears were the 46 defense that was all buddy Ryan I Matt Mike dick wasn’t even allowed in the defensive meeting rooms oh but he was still he he I mean he was the head coach but we all know why why didn’t they just get rid of dicka and promote buddy Ryan the head coach buddy Ryan was not retained and Mike dicko was you know I just buddy Ryan what did Mike dick do after what did Mike dick do after buddy Ryan nothing nothing what did Buddy Ry after my di tons not really no that’s not true he was really good in Philadelphia me you know Seth Joiner and all those guys in Phil regie White good what’s you know what’s what’s your definition they were fearsome I mean they were a fierce team they didn’t win they you know it’s kind of like just because you don’t climb to the top doesn’t mean you’re not awesome I mean they were awesome Seth Joiner Jerome Brown Reggie White Andre Muddy Waters that was an that was a very very good defense he had was a good coach he did some good things in Arizona to be completely honest buddy Ryan buddy Ryan was the key to the Bears I mean sure he was but he wasn’t the head coach so you know look that’s what I’m saying if you’re you can’t credit you can’t credit dpka for the 85 Bears um as far as you know as far as their defense it was it was a de they were the most dominant defense in the history of pro football and it was a buddy Ryan deal so that’s all I’m saying um it’s it would be like if you credited Kyle for the Niners Number One D you wouldn’t really or if youit you credit Andy Reid I mean you know who got tons of credit this year at the super the day after the Super Bowl Spagnola why because his McDuffy and sne and Jones and his defense played really really really good for the most part um so spagnolo got a lot of the credit anyways what were originally talking about Joe Montana or Jerry Rice yeah it’s Jerry’s Jerry’s two it’s Ronnie’s three Jerry’s two Joe’s won and I I understand that I mean I I guess the the argument they gave in the show was that you know Joe the Niners were terrible before Joe and um that he was there for two Super Bowls before Rice and you know he was making Freddy Solomon and Dwight Clark look awesome and Dwight was leading the NFL in reception before Jerry and this and that so they’re arguing that Joe means more than Jerry I mean Jerry is a better is considered a better wide receiver than Joe as a quarterback like Jerry’s the undoubted number one wide receiver it goes Jerry then Moss then Owens in that order where a lot of people will put Brady in front of Joe and just on longevity and and I would too I mean come on I mean seriously um and I and I love Joe and I lived it but still you know me the longevity of Brady has to be respected you can’t evaluate Joe Montana just through his statistics either or else he’s you know there’s there’s not a lot to buoy he’s the best of all time just looking at his numbers because the game is changed so much um but it’s also changed to help the quarterback now he you know it’s not like he it wasn’t like he played in some easy era I mean he the hits that he took oh he played in him out of 90 and of 86 or yeah that hit took an 86 from Jim BT the hit he took in 90 from Leonard Marshall those are those are penalties they were devastating devastating devastating hits that have been officiated out of the game now right so Joe lived in a world that no longer even exists on a football field and he thrived in it and he but he thrived in it in a way that his numbers are still depressed based on the that the game was played the way that Bill Walsh called a game and the way that the game is played now it’s all changed so dramatically I mean basically we’re we’re arguing about who’s the most important member of the Holy Trinity is it God Jesus or the Holy Ghost like you can’t have one without the other basically you know I mean this is uh I mean and this Niner list is so deep I mean there’s no John Taylor on this list there’s no Terell Owens on this list there’s no Bryant Young on this list there’s no Dave Willcox there’s no Dion Sanders George KD right now is the greatest 49ers history without a doubt there ain’t no iuk on this list that’s for sure Brandon auk’s not on the list no Debo Debo’s not on the list I’ll tell you the one guy who’s on this team there are two guys on this team three guys on this team who could be on this list Bosa one day Fred Warner one day and chrisan mcaffrey I don’t know I don’t know I mean where I mean who’s coming off well easy to million doll backfield is all gone sorry boys you played when there was the bottom four the bot we’ll get we’ll just go to the bottom four the bottom four on the list Frank Gore third alltime on the NFL rushing list Charles Haley he’s got more Super Bowl rings than anybody in history uh Dwight Clark um and Roger Craig okay so let’s remove on this List’s already a Hall of Famer Frank will be a Hall of Famer I think Roger deserves to be a Hall of Famer Willis is gonna be a Hall of Famer that’s the bottom the bottom half of their list includes Hall of Famer Willis possibly future Hall of Famers gor and Craig Hall of Famer Haley only Dwight Clark on the list not a Hall of Famer and Dwight we all know Dwight has secret not secret but special meaning to the 49er Dynasty Beyond just the stats look I yeah Dwight that’s the thing Dwight Clark with all due respect is the first guy off this list Dwight Clark’s memories are seatone gorgeous lovable alltime NFL play memories without the catch which obviously helped launch the dynasty of it all but you know you take one play away from Dwight Clark he’s not on this list he scored 48 touchdowns uh you know in his career 48 touchdowns he Chris mcaffry had 21 just last he led the NFL in receptions a couple times though it wasn’t like he was just a one catch Wonder or anything right but 506 career receptions didn’t have 7,000 receiving yards uh Mo he had 11,000 yard season in his career he caught a career best 85 balls in 81 he’s the first guy off the list with all due respect to Dwight Clark’s beloved memory he’s the first guy off the list and your Joe the jet Perry Hugh melany million dooll backfield that come on that’s no with all what what those guys aren’t legit I’m saying that um if you think Joe the jet Perry is pretty good running back Wai and you see chrisan mcaffrey yeah but I mean come on Joe the jet Perry was the NFL’s leading rusher in their time they were great but he was when he retired he was the NFL’s leading rusher so just because it was a long time ago doesn’t mean I hear what you’re saying but all of those guys were that million-dollar backfield I mean this is before my time but um I can remember my dad talking about those guys quite a bit you know ya TI John Henry Johnson I mean these guys were all special I mean all incredibly special they were great they were great but the four of them don’t deserve to take up number four all at once but if we had so I would take their position off the list and Dwight Clark off the list what about Haley won three with Dallas but he was still a he I mean if to’s not on the list why should Haley be on the list really right I mean to is the third best wide receiver in the history of football and played half his career elsewhere but played half his career with the ners I mean he’s that’s an interesting one I mean I to me the guy that absolutely should be on this list e is probably Tio he’s probably the guy he’s probably the guy that got screwed off of all current 49ers who’s the most likely to crack this list boso Warner or mcaffrey or Brock pie I’ll throw it out there yeah I would probably say Brock pie Brock pie over over Fred Warner um Bosa um yeah I would say Brock pie especially if Brock P does what I think he can do which is win a couple Super Bowls if Brock pie wins a couple Super Bowls he probably makes this list Mike Crocker says starting to wonder about Bruce he’s all about now not the history look that’s fair I’m just G to tell you that I spent enough time talking to Steve Kerr about how Sports Works to be convinced that you know look Rank and file NBA players right now if you put them 30 years ago I think would dominate 30 years ago basketball I think if you had if you had if if if Rank and file NBA players today would dominate the NBA 30 years ago yeah just from a three-point shot standpoint so you take Anthony lamb he’s suddenly gonna be great in the and you take him back no he’s not a rank and file NBA player he’s a fringe NBA player Anthony lamb doesn’t count okay so who’s a ranking file Klay Thompson you put Klay Thompson in the in the 80s suddenly Klay Thompson’s the best I don’t know about that Klay Thompson is there were some great players we got three point oh sure there were but Klay Thompson is these guys would just be great too and they would just be they would do whatever thing so sport athletes you know they they be more better trained you know Sports gets better every year athletes get better every year that’s the way it Go the training methods get better and the athletes of right the the training methods of today cannot be held against the athletes of yesterday year no just because they weren’t they didn’t you know what I mean just because you didn’t the importance of it all and how much money is out there campell’s the ultimate power back of any era I to me Earl Campbell is one of the two or three best football player uh running backs I’ve ever seen and yet you know I mean he had a short had a short career you can’t point to numbers but how much better power back what about Mike allot you want to talk about a PowerBack but not Campell he was he allot was like you know Dexter Carter compared to Earl Campbell Earl Campbell was you what about Derrick Henry Derrik Henry derck Henry is pretty damn good man Derrick Henry is a scatback compared to Earl Campbell Earl Campbell was special but I’ll tell you Derrick Henry Campell was here the thing I guess Tyler Rose I mean think about Jerome Bettis like I think of like you know if you want to say Derrick Henry’s kind of like Jerome Bettis I’m with you he’s just not he’s just not Earl Campbell there was only one Earl Campbell I mean Earl Campbell was crazy I saw the I just saw the retrospective the other day on Earl Campbell and his son went to a card show with his dad like within like the last 10 years and they ran into Jim Brown and Jim Brown told Earl Campbell’s son that you know and only you know the way it came out too is so kind of arrogant but that Jim Brown told Earl Campbell’s son that that Jim Brown was the best running back of all time but that Earl Campbell was second you know I I would say it would be for me now I know emt’s the all-time leading rusher and a lot of people love Barry Sanders but I would say Jim Brown Earl Campbell Walter pyton is the the Holy Trinity of running backs and nobody else need apply and that’s Eric Dickerson and everybody else what’s your what’s your all time I’m saying it’s I’m saying Jim Brown won uh wal um Earl Campbell and Walter pton I mean if you want to take Walter and put him two instead of three that’s fine but sweetness was a definite and definite cam definitely Campbell and definitely Brown and everybody else was there’s awesome guys Marcus Allen Eric Dickerson and Barry Sanders who a guy who could be arguably the greatest running back of all time in Barry Sanders he just had terrible Team all around him at all times including his offensive line uh you know EMT Smith was better yeah I love EMT Smith talked about they’re not they’re I I would just say they’re just a couple I mean I love I remember see I remember Thanksgiving when when uh I was watching the Bears on Thanksgiving when Walter pyton went off for like 177 yards or whatever it was and it was like it was amazing Walter pton was the only thing the Bears had he got crushed on every play and just kep coming just kept coming Walter pton I mean Walter you know I mean Marshall amazing was unbelievable there’s a lot of great ones there’s a lot of great ones but I mean Jim Brown I think is you have to give Jim Brown the nod I don’t and then I would go with I’d go with Earl Campell and know peopleand Jim Brown was Trucking over guys who were part Time Players half his size and mostly white like I I just think that Jim Brown he also led the league in rushing every year of his career and you can’t blame him for when he played I mean is it you know there are people that that want to take down Babe Ruth and say well he didn’t play against you know the best players of the day but at the same time they want to take Babe Ruth down for not playing against the best players they want to take they want to say that Josh Gibson could be one of the best players but Josh Gibson didn’t play the best players of the day either so it’s like we will never really know you know who who was who was actually truly the greatest but we what we don’t what we don’t know for sure is that Ruth didn’t play against black players and and Gibson didn’t play against white players right and I know that neither of those guys saw a single 95 mph fastball in their careers probably not one of those guys saw it in 18 inch break slider which is the first pitch of every seventh inning right now for every team the worst player on everybody’s pitching staff has an 18 break inch break slider I mean it’s just the game has changed so much that but In fairness to them those guys also probably never played with the kind of awesome backdrops that they have now they were probably hitting against people sitting in center field wearing white shirts that they couldn’t see the ball um those guys played in in with lights that were kind of like you know mediocre and darkness what’s that OJ Simpson on what list greatest running backs of all time he’s high he’s way up there I mean he’s really really high in that list but he’s not Walter yards in a 14 game season that’s insane John Henry Johnson had a thousand yards um in a in 12 games I think he had a 12 game season he had a thousand yards so um so I mean yeah I mean but I to me we’ve been watching you know the the old saying is that a as time goes on the athletes get bigger stronger and faster except when we’re talking about ER Campbell who was bigger who except he ber Ro Campbell was bigger and stronger and faster than any of the backs today and he played in the 70s and 80s by the way Mark Graves coming in here in the chat room saying uh where OJ is on this list OJ is officially six feet under these guys see it’s funny because he’s a murderer and he’s dead now does OJ get does o OJ get slashed for being no there you go would you say he’s been cut from the list Larry nearly it’s so sad watching the fact that Eddie D part of the Niner history is that they made a terrible trade and traded a bunch of draft picks to Buffalo one of them became Joe cribs for OJ Simpson when OJ Simpson had you know knees that were totally shot I mean that’s you know that that was one of the worst trades of all time talk about Charles Haley getting sent to the Cowboys but for the Niners to trade all those draft picks to Buffalo for beat up OJ Simpson that was not Eddie D’s finest moment Larry I got a uh show coming up at 11:00 I’ll invite everyone to watch on Damon Bruce plus we’re going to start a little bit with the other thing over the weekend is it you know with Klay Thompson about to take his business somewhere else we’re going to kind of open with that on the show since we go over everything all football over here Paul George there a lot of talk about Paul George coming to the Warriors yeah well we we will be talking talking um one more bit of NFL news little housekeeping for you uh this from Kyle posie the NFL informed The Players Association that they’re tweaking the 2024 injured reserved rules now some things stay the same if a player uh if you’re on the injured reserve list you must miss four games if you’re placed on the injured reserve list you get designated to return then you get a 21-day window to open but the significant change that Kyle posie says is the amendment to the number of returns from the injured reserve list under the old rule teams were limited to eight returns during the regular season which often led to strategic decisions based on Personnel however the latest Amendment teams are going to who qualify for the playoffs can now make up to 10 Returns um potentially altering game strategy so I like it I mean it’s you know it’s gives you know the long and the short of it is if you go to the playoffs there’s you you’ve got two more players you can pull pull from and that’s big man I mean that that’s I mean you know what are we doing here I mean you want to make sure that you’re putting your best foot forward in the playoffs you can’t have quality healthy players that just can’t make their way back you know onto the field because of rules so um I I like it I think you know it will help you know the Niners had to make some tough decisions now that now there’s a little bit more flexibility I like that I do too and that’s I hate arbitrary rules why is it only eight players can return from the injured list how about everyone when they’re no longer injured being able to return like that’s I just don’t like I mean as long as they’re placed on the injured list legitimately why manipulation if it’s if they’re been manipulated then that’s not good but if we’re talking about legitimately injured players that are legitimately getting healthy and are put legitimately back on the roster why would why should we limit it why why I don’t I don’t understand that that you drafted the player right you put him you got him on your roster he got hurt you didn’t make up the injury he got hurt so then then now you you know maybe he’s your best player on your team maybe the five best players on your team could all get hurt and what if there’s only so many guys that you could have return I don’t like it either uh as far as I don’t like any arbitrary rule that keeps talented players off the field for no real good reason so I like it I think but I think they should go further I think they ought to just not have a not have a limit um I don’t understand I mean can you even understand the concept of why there would be a limit why what are we afraid of right what is the competitive advantage or disadvantaged gained or lost through this like I I don’t really understand it either there you go nobody ever does that you know nobody the one thing I I think I I can say confidently is that NFL teams do not just randomly put players on the injured list when they’re not injured it’s not like basball load Management in football right I mean I do think that there is some manipulation at the end of camp for guys like caml 2 where it’s like dude you’re gonna be cut unless you’re hurt if you’re hurt we put you on season ending IR you basically get a red shirt year if we cut you you’re anybody’s ball game so I do think with talented young players that aren’t ready to make the team I give you an example this summer is a good example look at the Niners running backs they’re probably going to keep five maybe six CMC juice right for sure then you after that you’ve got Mitchell Mason greno shraer and Patrick Taylor so you actually have you actually have seven right there so I I like if you told me that greno let’s say um shider looked great and gendo just looked pretty good gendo’s gonna get hurt at the end of the preseason just to make sure that he goes you know they don’t they’re not gonna wave gendo I don’t B I don’t buy that I think they’re gonna stash gendo um if if the other backs look good and well yeah I mean I I think that that’s how you do it you stash him right roster manipulation to just retain your own players before the year begins is something that probably happens but again the NFL should do just do away with that nonsense how about this your practice squad isn’t straight up grow the practice squad by 10 more guys you know let let 10 more guys now sure so grow your practice squad to 25 26 and then have you know you you get to you get to basically Reserve because if if any team signs a player off a team’s you can sign anybody off anybody’s practice squad right as long as you put them on your active roster you can’t it can’t be lateral if you are willing to make an act a practice squad player on another team a part of your active roster you can sign that player today the 40 the league should expand the practice squad to 25 guys with 10 or 12 of them designated as cannot be you can’t come get them yeah makeing more of a development developmental type league and now this is a conversation we were having three weeks ago right well and and it will make the league better in time um you know there’s Arguments for and against of course according to the players because you know you want to make sure that good players get on the field you don’t want guys stashed and not utilized and stagnating but I agree it’s better for the long-term interest of the sport that that there’s a little bit more roster continuity than this I was a bill on Thursday I’m a I’m a chief on Friday I’m a I’m a line on the following Tuesday you know I don’t I don’t I don’t think that’s necessarily a good thing right we do have some star chat over and over again Steve Young continuity keeping players together it’s good for football what do we got let’s do our St chats and then uh I got a boogie okay gold Tow says 18 players over 30 six more than any other team yeah but go name them name them gold they’re all guys that you would want on your team and let me tell you what’s also happening here but not just on your team there’s also a lot of scrubin on there too there’s also a lot of guys that like you know Eric sabert is one of those guys I mean is Eric sober even gonna make the team I mean right I I hear what he’s saying but the reality is your window is tied to your head coach’s age your quarterback’s age and your roster should be great as far as your roster age I mean I I can I can sit there and play this game right now but I mean who’s old who’s old on the ners Trent so I saw this really interesting article that was talking about how the average American family makes $60,000 a year whatever the number was but if you took 10 American families the 10 wealthiest families out of the equation that goes into what is the average American family but you left the 10 most richest families in America out of this equation the average American family is now making $50,000 a year with just 10 families being involved so the number is not really reflective of reality let me tell you what’s going on here too to average 18 players over 30 six more than any other bringing up the 49ers average age is a guy like Ricky peol Ricky piol is 24 that’s old for an NFL rookie so a guy who has also it’s also these it’s also these guys off the bench I mean give you Chris Conley’s over 30 okay um he you know there’s there’s one right there I mean there’s a guy who’s he’s on the team he’s over 30 does he ever play no but he’s over 30 and they just added him Super Bowl I’ll tell you that much Chris connley salute Eric saber’s 30 Eric sober probably doesn’t even make the team yeah the I would just I would say those 30 plus age guys I bet you only half those guys make the team we’ll see we’ll see I mean are not an old team they’re not an old team I mean here’s the thing they’re mathematically the oldest team in football but they’re not oldest team in football as the way to oldest team in basketball now relates to the Golden State Warriors right the Warriors Steph clay you know Draymond they’re old um Chris Paul he’s old the ners starters go all the way down the list the only old starters the 49ers have are Trent Williams John Feliciano KD 30 hu on defense with Leonard Floyd right here’s the thing are you gonna say that 20 that’s the entire team everybody else is under 30 that’s starting think about that for a second I just went through the entire team over 30 you’ve got is dandre Campbell how old is dandre Campbell yeah he’s 30 okay so dandre Campbell over 30 starters on your team dandre Campbell uh Leonard Floyd and is Malik Collins no no he’s 29 so those two guys Leonard Floyd and DeAndre Campbell are the only guys on your defense over 30 on offense it’s juice KD Feliciano and Trent that’s it right outside of Feliciano no player here you would you even want to trade someone else for basically so saying that the age the age comes in when you when you start making these pickups you picked up Chris hubard guess what he’s he’s over 30 you picked up uh you know Chris Conley guess what he’s over 30 um you know what I mean there’s that’s you picked up you know some DBS Rock yaas sinin how old’s he he’s actually 28 By the way you know who’s also skewing this Trent Taylor over’s Taylor there you go Trent Taylor so they picked up three Bench Warmers that are all over 30 and now they’re old blood moon how hot will parag seat be for failure with ba it won’t be it won’t be pag morante is on Lifetime scholarship as far as Jed York is concerned he’s also running the the soccer team they got him doing a bunch of things right blood moon says this is the year KY Shanahan lets a quarterback have full control I mean I think that whatever dude well no well no so I think that this is the year where Kyle is going to impower Brock pie to be a little bit more uh in charge of what happens when he gets the line of scrimmage and looks over a defense I I do think that Kyle is desirous of a quarterback who can say all right I can get us into the right play based on this moment and it’s not the play that came into the Huddle and any coach would want to empower a quarterback who’s good enough to do that I don’t think full I don’t think anybody’s getting full control right there’s no quarterback in this who’s calling his own plays like you know what freaking John Elway was doing at the end of the you know he was the O’s offensive coordinator at the end there right uh G2 the universe says he’s become a YouTube member there you go little clap for G2 the universe golf CL uh gold to says Hawks new defensive coordinator Michael McDonald destroys Brock again we shall see he had he had a little help you know he had Hamilton and he had Queen and he had ran and he had you know matuk and uh Seattle doesn’t quite have that same defensive Personnel Personnel uh G2 the universe member for 20 months has Larry shares his predictions I Beed witness to Larry’s prediction on perie when he was still truly Mr Irrelevant thank you G2 the universe and Michael alannis says good morning Larry and Damon does stopping the Run concern the both of you hardgrave this far in his contract has been a disappointment I mean hardgrave has been massive disappointment are you kidding me I’m very disappointed in hardgrave um yes yes to me the 49 you know the question was is Rundy a problem yes I would say if you said to me what are the 49ers like and I played this exercise the other day with deer I said deer if I gave you a million dooll ticket on the 49ers to win the Super Bowl so you’re invested you’re as invest as John Lynch you’re as invested as Kyle Shanahan you’re invested you got a million dooll ticket in your pocket to on the Niners to win the Super Bowl what do you want to if you could add one player what do you want to add a realistic player and what is your primary concerns that of you falling short of cashing that ticket um and I would say that it’s the Runde would be my number one question like I’m concerned legitimately about the Runde uh that would be question number one question number two would be um the right side of the offensive line from brindle to Feliciano to mckivitz yep those are those are those are the correct top two concerns right there concern number three I don’t know what your concern number three would be but those would be safety play ironing itself out I think they get the right guys to figure it out but early struggles with safety play could be something that haunts the Niners in September see my I went from that to my biggest concern is I don’t think the 49ers can win any games that Brock pury doesn’t start I don’t believe in Josh dobs I don’t believe in Brandon Allen and obviously Tanner Mory is brand new and there’s not a lot of track record there I like what I’ve seen but but he’s an undrafted college free agent um but I would say that this is a concern that is essentially shared universally in football your starting quarterback goes down your year is essentially not going to be what it might have been there’s no this league who is about to say it’s cool I got it I can negotiate the last 10 games of this year and no problem no I hear you I hear you if Mahomes goes down his backup is Carson went it’s probably better um if her if hers goes down for Philly their backup in Philly this year is Kenny picket and then Tanner mcke my point is muu who if Aiden oconnell goes down Gardner muu might be p goes down Aiden oconnell might go in way neither is defined so but my my point is that is not that I think that Brock pie if you know it’s not about can you win if Brock P’s done for the year right if Brock P’s done for the year you know your starting quarterback’s done for the year okay as you just stated that’s unlikely you’re unlikely to win but what happens if you get to week two and Brock’s out for six weeks then it’s like well wait a second you got six weeks to try to win games to stay in the playoff hunt I don’t think that Josh dos or Brandon Allen can win any G any of those games and so to me as much as the Runde is my number one concern the right side of the offensive Line’s my number two concern I hear your safety concerns as well that could be an issue any any area where there’s lack of depth but to me my third area of concern is if they lose Brock pie for a month can they still be a playoff team and do they need to do they need to have a better number two quarterback to cover themselves so they could actually win uh if Brock pie wasn’t there I don’t have a reason to not believe in Josh dobs and I hope I don’t find it you know what I mean we’ll see we’ll see what happens there I’ll tell you though the answer to the run defense could be on the team and Malik Collins I mean my my my buddy um uh in Houston John mlan just cannot believe that the Texans made that trade just think that he’s one of the best run stuffing D tackles in football and uh hopefully be that with the 49ers hopefully he’s right what else we got Larry I gotta get I gotta get rolling that’s it that’s it that’s it um one guy in here says uh Larry’s getting ready to tell us the Justin Fields thing no yeah I was saying last week that I would try to trade for Justin Fields I’m just saying that if Brock pie went down I I’m not a real believer that they could win some games with dobs or or Allen so hopefully hopefully Brock P doesn’t go down hopefully he stays healthy you know what I’ll tell you right now if the Steelers only knew that they could get Justin Fields they would not have signed Russell Wilson it’s funny there the talk in Steeler Camp from what I just read last night is that they’re saying that Justin Fields uh spotty accuracy has shown itself already already that he’s just not like he’ll throw one pass he looks incredibly accurate the next pass is you know miles off course and I’m like you know what that sounds an awful lot like what we saw with Tre Lance Tre Lance if you wanted to just say hey give me Tre Lance’s highlight reel Trey Lance’s practice highlight reel was damn impressive it’s just that there was inconsistencies with layups that you just can’t have any professional athletes highlight re by definition will be impressive that’s how they became a professional athlete uh Larry great stuff man it’s good to be back we got a uh you know just 10 more Sundays until we have football games 10 more Sundays is all we got man we are here the last week of June training Camp’s going to open up next month then you know it’s August and then you know blink twice and it’ll be September and we’re playing football thank goodness we’ll be back Wednesday 8:45 with another wake up Monday Wednesdays and Fridays like And subscribe to both channels and the only thing I can tell you Larry it was beautiful up in Tahoe I wanted to put everybody in the Miata and bring you with me it was gorgeous up there beautiful you get the bluest lake in the world it’s like being in Switzerland you you sit on the lake I will say very Rocky beaches it is like going to the a body of water that You’ never want to actually get in and you’re gonna sit on Sharp rocks everywhere you go in Tahoe but it’s been my dream to drive the Miata down onto those rocks and just park there and sit there and you know look at the fish and you know it’s cold water but you know I always say it’s cleansing to the soul and uh you know what Trent always says if you’re GNA rehab your ACL make sure you get into the water up in Tahoe Lowry [Music]

hey everyone happy Monday
bang bang!
Thank you guys. Always enjoy your videos. Go 49ers ! Sign Ai-Yuk, win the damn Super Bowl 🏟
The 9ers haven’t ‘mishandled’ a damn thing…Aiyuk is under contract for this season…end of story….’real, actual credible journalists….?’….where are you gonna find them?
I am sorry to inform Ninerland that a Chiefs threepeat is inevitable.
@BloodMoon…..Paraage hasn’t failed….is he supposed to tell Aiyuk…’how much do you want, Brandon…you let me know, and we’ll sign the checks’……
BA is not worth $26 million in this offense. Thats the holdup on the deal. If the Niners give BA that deal, the team will crash for years to come.
