all right what is going on everybody how is everybody doing today welcome back here today to the just balling podcast now today’s episode is going to be just a YouTube exclusive one this won’t be a podcast format you guys may even get two podcasts today one podcast format on Spotify and a podcast which will be me making a final mock DFT after the Mel Bridges trade went down and all that that’s going to change and kind of dissecting that final mock and then um this video will just be on YouTube um that mock draft will also be on YouTube as well but this one is going to be me reacting to uh numbers on the board um they did a uh 2024 Mock trft and I wanted to react to it because they are going to go into it for a decent amount of time too um I think they’re going one through four and back and for like each uh member of the Pod is going to make um a pick and I’m just going to react to it think it if I agree with it disagree with it um what I think about it going forward and we’re just going to have some fun normally I probably would throw this on the SOS Channel but I got my fre agency predictions got the draft stream tonight the mcel bridges news like doubl that up on the 2K Channel like or uh on the six rings of Steel Channel went and like gave my analysis on Mel Bridges trade gave my um my first rebuild attempt with the Knicks on that so I may be double uploading if you count the live stream on the STW on all three channels today um not the Matthew gist one we won’t be getting on that one so without further Ado let’s just hop right into it um I’m excited to see what their mock looks likea Hawks uh I would have them taking Donovan kingley actually no no no oh his reaction I mean Donovan K in it really could happen it’s crazy cuz moment I’m recording this like stay up it’s 9:30 in the morning here on the East Coast we don’t know who the number one pick is going to be it’s looking like it’s re if I’m the Hawks and S for some reason doesn’t want to be there I’m just still taking him number one overall I’m saying like what are you going to do about it right like you’re going to force a trade and you could probably get a haul for him so I I I don’t know why SAR doesn’t want to go there it’s really weird oh you went to the the podium said never mind now we going to say this what there ain’t no hold up I don’t know if you ever watched the NBA draft but ain’t nobody ever ran now and said no Adam Silver that ain’t n no no we didn’t mean him you got the first damn pick and you here talking about uh he he the team that used the whole clock that’s crazy actually I’ll go down with kingan yeah I think they I mean it could definitely happen I think kingan maybe more likely it’s weird though for kingan he’s definitely more likely I think than SAR at this point but if kingan doesn’t go one where does he go like you would assume SAR if he doesn’t go one he’s going two res a one I don’t think Houston is taking clinging at three unless they think Phoenix would like that in a KD trade package at this point I don’t know reverse okay no no no no no what let’s do this I’m not and it might not say that do what you want to do no I know I’m getting Dam clean because I probably feel like I’m moving on from Clint capella my boy bring in a nice young Center that can pair next to Jaylen Johnson and I think that sets us up for the future yo just going to be a career backup I guess so I just want you to do you it’s going to be too hard it’s going to be too hard for us to think about what they want it’s not out the realm of possibility it’s been interested so that’s not a bad pick iess no I mean it’s been talked about cling re or S now if like Reed Shepard went number one that’d be shocking so uh at number two I have to I didn’t want the second pick because now I have to take Alex star so we’re going to take Alex star with the Wizards that’s kind of boring but I just don’t feel like Atlanta’s gonna draft him if he’s not working they’re not it’s it’s so weird like why don’t you not want to play with Trey young such a good playmaker like I think he’s not from Atlanta or lived in Atlanta when he was at the overtime Elite maybe he just doesn’t like the city maybe he think there’s like Clin capella there and Kung Wu and Jaylen Johnson I want to just get all the Touches at the five so I’m eligible for my rookie Max extension I don’t I don’t know I don’t unless they’re gonna try to flip him which is a dangerous game to play uh third overall pick rocket Houston Rock is a team that I think is just going to be interested in trading this pick away trade it um who’s interested who wants to trade up to three so Charlotte Hornets want to trade up to three I’m Hornets let’s talk um what do you offer me I don’t know I just really like the idea Reed Shepard and Charlotte that’s really I don’t have any oh we damn sure ain’t taking Reed Shepard oh we want Stefan Castle oh no no no no no no no he’s not he’s not no no no and we don’t have no win now players that y’all would s Bridges y’all don’t want mil Bridges y’all got y’all got him already his name’s cam [ __ ] well let me not say that cam with the idea of them keeping it since nobody’s calling my phone no you keeping it you keeping it all right we’re gonna we’re going to take uh we’re gonna take ree Shepard with the idea that him and I’m and Thompson in two years are going to be our back I mean I love that I tweeted about that I’d be really excited about that and I think Shepard could be a very efficient scorer in this league and could compliment him man Thompson better than maybe Jaylen green could now I don’t know what Houston is doing now because I’m sure they wanted Mel Bridges and now they’re getting the Suns picks thinking they can get KD maybe this off season maybe dein Booker next off season so I’m not really sure what they’re going to do now at three this may change a lot maybe they’re going like would Phoenix want Reed Shepard right or is zachar re aay more appealing in a deal and that’s why they go with him at three because they could be trading this player it seems like maybe ownership is like really pushing that win now because they went 41 and 41 last year they could go 43 and 30 um 43 and 39 next year but that may not even be a playing tournament spot the western conference is still vaded and that could be the 10th spot maybe maybe ownership wants like a top six finish yeah get a pure sniper why not okay yeah um honestly I didn’t expect Zachary RAR to still be up there so I’m gonna go ahead and grab him with the fourth pick for the Spurs RAR say it again RAR say Massachusetts Massachusetts Mass bro dude yeah re it’s a it’s St play like tough to like get used to and like I’m sure like not familiar with like his game and um I I think I like I like him in San Antonio better than Atlanta so I like uh I like Pierre’s pick there or not Pierre um Mike’s pick there sorry his name up a lot to re re re share re say it one more time re share sh I’m looking at the document the pronunciation I could still be wrong um but okay is back on me at five yep there there’s so many different ways we can go as a Detroit p at uh at four at four okay I I hope they get him in real life that’s a good pickup if he falls there that’s huge so then that probably goes like I mock TJ on Salon 8 if he falls to four then I would obviously change up I don’t think they would go salon at 8 they’d probably go one of the guards maybe they go Dillingham maybe they I mean a dream would be Castle he could fall to eight um they saying he could go one to the hwks so we are the Detroit Pistons and right now we kind of like a blank canvas we we just signed one of the best shooting coaches in basketball so we can afford to maybe go get somebody that can’t really shoot that well we’re gonna go with a guy he already got his hands full with a saress do um Maes balis welcome to Detroit my guy hey I like it 1610 19 197 16 I think is going to go five there’s the connection with his agent and uh telman like the CEO of the the Pistons like bis’s um agent is the son of like the CEO of the Pistons and I they could be someone that’s looking at bral there at four or excuse me at five SP no not too far from Chicago yeah you know he’s still local we can still go play around to golf with him little travel we definitely can we just like his we like his upside as another guy that can be a little connector get to the basket when necessary again we don’t have a lot of shooting here in Detroit but we’re going we’re going upside again for the 30th year in a row that was the fifth pick right correct is that Charlotte Charlotte I mean i’ like St Castle here but Castle doesn’t want to play with a franchise point card easy we’re just gonna take Stefan C out of Yukon winning player we have lamelo we have Brandon Miller we have Mark Williams we now just need connecting pieces we need us to we we going to take a mini Drew holiday who GNA come in and defend be able to cut with the ball bring the ball up initiate some offense and we are big Believers in his jump shot a big pick Dill trans that’s his Blazers pick right now yes perfect uh for me if I’m the Blazers in this situation I’mma take the wing with a lot of potential in Cody Williams and uh I’mma bring him in cuz we already have a back court we have a solidified back court already we got Shane sharp we have three guards we got to find a wing we got a draft Wing that we think we could develop and play at a high level and I think Cody Williams can do that for us okay mad at that I love that pick Derek so it’s on me at 8 with the Spurs yep um it’s a lot of different directions we can go here we just got Zack Zack yeah we got Zachary Rich Shay um nicolea toic has a ACL injury that’s kind of scaring us off so we’re probably going to stay away from that we really like Rob Dillingham but this is the Spurs um so you know we’re going to shake up the draft a little bit uhoh is and we are going to take de Carter from we want winning players I could definitely see the Spurs be one of those teams that could just take a reach I could definitely see it we got a GU I guess it is a reach uh Carter was like a what like my four 12th 14th rank Prospect around there um andan if they go res at four Carter a like when I was mentioning guards before could make a ton of sense honestly because he could still dish out the ball a little bit and you have Trey Jones who could still orchestrate an offense maybe Jeremy Shan works out a little bit better this year I think like I predicted for agency predictions they go out and get tus Jones like maybe they bring in CP3 so they can go with Carter who could play off ball a little bit and still keep all that draft Capital to get a franchise point guard down the line if it’s darus scarland or Trey young or somebody else that hits the market care about what mocks are saying we don’t care what the big boards are saying we we brought him in we like him a lot he’s going to come in and we don’t have to worry about him fitting yeah he’s going to find a way to be successful I like that very good pick um we as the Memphis Grizzlies are pissed off the Donovan went first overall because we could not even get in the conversation to to trade up to one so now we have to Pivot the next Center on the list on the big board is like Zack Edy we not really I don’t think we really interested in that and number nine I don’t blame you so we’re g to redirect ourselves to someone else um Ron Holland uh anybody want to call up to trade for this pick cuz we really want to Clingan or nothing so we we’d be okay with flipping this damn so you’re the messed up your draft you are you are you t uh yeah uh yeah I’m jez the Jazz that mean you 11 the Bulls yeah uh I’m 12 at OKC I think you got a draft I just feel like we got bit with the I’m at Sacramento Kings they don’t want to trade up yeah we got bit with the Z Williams thing so like Ron Holland kind of makes sense but damn it we tried already try it again um in my opinion I think’s a much better proect than zy was coming out of Stanford I wasn’t a big fan of zy and that was definitely a reach back in the 2021 draft and that was crazy too because they moved up they took on the valent chunis or they got off of the valent chunis contract um but they were able to move up seven spots and the Pelicans got the better player at 17 and Trey Murphy we are going to take one of the safer picks in this draft I I feel like ah no I don’t like this I don’t like this can you come on who was the safe come on I’m saying that’s left on the board the Silva no no um this is probably what it’s like to be in a GM in that war WR we’re gonna we’re gonna take Ron holla I like that winner like dude has a high motor very competitive Gene to him and could go out and compete for a team that’s going to be in the playoffs next year but you hear you hear how how excited I am about it we’re going to take Ron holla this just sounds like we’ll just take him we just take him maybe he turns was going down you was your time was we panicked we took Hashim to beat I got the jazz on the clock at 10: and honestly I don’t really took your pick oh you you can trade for him no it’s okay gave walk Walker kler for that for that for that ninth pick and you could have had back toback talk to me yeah you said Walker kler was available we we trade Ron holler for Walker castler right now if that was your prospect number one Walker castler for nine Memphis has to throw in another first like maybe in a different draft nine would be valuable but I think with all the variants at nine Memphis would have to throw in another future first which I would too for Walker castler because him and jiren Jackson Jr like close and age like that could be a real legitimate front Court nah we looking for a center for Walker Kesler starting caliber Center we about to draft we we not trying to help you out bro we good okay it’s fine with no true Direction I feel like we got time we going to take NOA topic I know he got his injury butage who cares about konay George being on that roster having a good rookie year go get another guard to make him no I’m just joking that’s still a good pick though so it’s me at 11 with the Chicago this is actually working out perfectly uh there’s so many different ways I Chicago would Carter off the board I think what I would do I Pro I mean like I’m not taking Rob Dillingham to that team just cuz like they have too many guards right now I mean I would look at k I would look at I don’t think I would love jacobe Walter there I’d look at kle wear I’d look at tjn Salon probably as well I think just the upside that could play and if they lose Patrick Williams but you could also go dalta connect I think is really good value like if you’re legitimate about resigning D rozan and keeping LaVine yeah bringing DTA connect on the board right now that I would have Lov to see in Chicago um oh no no no no no no that’s not true he got picked up a while ago so we’re going to we’re going to say hey count your days take my guy come on we’re going to take uh khil wear yes with the 11th overall pick hey when I do my Bulls rebuild that’s what we take when I did a collab mock on the r sh with Pierre he he did Kare to the Bulls and I was like wow I’ve never seen somebody mock Clare to the Bulls um or mocked him in the lottery and if kingan goes and SAR goes and all these bigs are off the board and Chicago really wants vuich replacement or competition that’s the guy I it could be Ed it could be but it could definitely be wear too KH wear with the 11th overall pick you you want to know why okay he jumping up you want to know why and yes this is not what he’s projected to go but in a in a draft like this you go get your guy yeah you go get your guy and there are some guys on the list that like I would like to see a Chicago if we didn’t just trade for a point guard or another guard so we’re going to go with a position of need a guy with a lot of upside that you know he showed some shooting flashes at Indiana last season uh we question his motor but I feel like there’s a lot of centers in recent draft history that his his motor was questioning and he came to the league and you ain’t you ain’t questioning no more khil where welcome welcome to Chicago can’t wear that number though damn near retire so number one yeah that was D we did we’re 23 we took KH where um we have J is Alexander we just got Caruso we got JB we got Chad um who else they got on it Isaiah Joe isah Joe l d they got good guards um they don’t really have a big Wing we going we going to look to shake the draft up some more we seeing guy we seeing guys uh we seeing guys reaching going early we’ve done a good job we feel like we can get a big in the off season we can go we got some money so we feel like we can get us a Drummond or a valent tun if we need for this team it’s Salon connect um so we going to do is we going we G to take up the fact that y’all just out here slipping and we gonna take D connect damn that’s a good yeah that’s a really good pick that’s a really good pick we got Isaiah Joe and do conect coming off the bench I thought that was going to fall right to the Kings I was that would be a massive pick up if the Kings connect is the guy the Kings gu is Right still right there yeah what you mean the perfect dude who you don’t know I can’t help call the was Stefon Castle drafted already hell yes okay I didn’t I didn’t remember hearing his name I was just curious I just didn’t remember hearing it what position the guy you thinking of he 642 he’s what a 642 like a two guard two we thinking thinking of two different people oh one of think thinking of McCain the other one I don’t know like Rob dingham is still good value they’re not going to go ker you might as well just go McCain there Salon do you think he contributes right away the Silva I would like if CL doesn’t go 11 I would think about him at 13 oh Ed H for me I’m going to if I’m the kings in this situation I’m going to take jacobe Walter okay is that who you thinking of yeah it was they shoot the ball well catch and shoot thre guard J McCain is a guard no I’m talking about like no we were right like I I instead there’s forwards up there they could get like but I think they’re going to trade for forward they obviously got some bonus I think they’re going to go for another guard they don’t know I mean Davon Mitchell I don’t think he’s like a staple for them at all like I think they’re able to move on for him though so it’s on me at 14 with Portland you took Cody Williams yes I did so they have scoo Anthony shayen Cody Jeremy um Robert Williams DeAndre a this is the most loaded non-winning team ever um don’t forget Chris Murray’s on that team too Chris Murray Lefty so looking at the draft board we got some interesting things going on I think I think again we are in a position to just reach you already took a wing we got a boatload of guards we are going to take get another Wing no no we’re going to take a big no we’re not no we’re not because they have we’re going to take Tyler Smith out of the g-league ignite we’re going to take a shot you guys know I’m a huge fan of Tyler Smith in this draft and at 14 I would love that I have a feeling he’s going to go in the mid to late 20s but that’s right around the range of my big board we think has some scoring at the four cuz we’re almost certain that we’re going to move on from Jeremy Grant okay I like so we going to bring in Tyler Smith we going to get some buckets for us with the Lefty Yu that’s a nice pick right there that was a deep Pi I think definitely like a fit pick right there a fit pick yeah okay not the one on Instagram though okay uh us is the Miami Heat I’m just going to do it Zack Edy welcome to Miami I just don’t I just don’t think like goes I don’t I could be completely wrong but this team I think needs to get like they’re going to possibly lose Caleb Martin they could use some more athleticism on the perimeter um they could get Rob Dillingham is still on the board they could get I mean if you want to go upside tjn Salon there’s je Mei for his athleticism oh man I just I I don’t mind Ed around the 15th overall pick like if he went 14 to Portland 13 to Sacramento 11 to Chicago 12 to OKC I just think he’s the last guy that screams he culture bam slide over that is not a Miami pitch slide over that’s not a miam is time you just every Heat fan is they’re hating right now they like we just had Jer McCain in our lap I promise you they’ll we had a real guard they’ll be all right we tired of seeing Hero at the one damn I say ker too yeah I with the 76ers uh on the clock 16 pick I’m gonna take Rob Dillingham um campaign he could have got Rob F that that I’m taking Rob Dillan campaign you had some big little moments but come on now we got a new guard in him I kind of forgot he was on the board no lie I just felt like he got drafted already um he better make the right pick too do you want this pick because it is your because all of us have trade drafted for our favorite team no I mean just like you just be the Lakers so you get back toback picks uh sure yeah come on make the right pick and let’s see what you do right oh well it’s right there for you what you mean I can’t help you but I’m looking right at the guy there’s one guy that is still falling that I’m surprised has not been selected yet but I don’t know if he is the Lakers Mak sense there a couple players that I wouldn’t mind on the Lakers um I do like kaon George because he shot the ball well if you don’t pick this dude I’m busting your head let me get Tristian de Silva I actually like to Silva I I like to Sila to the Lakers I would have gone ker cuz you got the USC Southern California Connection there too which is kind of cool but I think they could use another guard because they’re probably going to lose DLo and I think he can compete right there with Jaylen Hood Chino who I’m still excited for in this league who you well I guess he gotta say he was gonna be able to catch and shoot that he would and he a dookie likees that mean I’m Orlando now true yeah yeah the JJ re McCain connection um sheesh I mean this guy’s just still falling down the board that like even if he don’t fit he’s got to get selected somewhere and it’s an upside pick uh we’re we’re going to take trian Salon yeah yeah but at 18 I mean yeah he’s another Wing to add to this team with a million wings but thing if he’s if he’s just there just sitting we we’ll make it work or we won’t 19 I am to Toronto Raptor so we have quickley we got bear we got Scotty Barnes we got purle um we just got to get Talent we’re going to take Jared McCain cuz y’all just letting them fall we gonna take Jared McCain you already got Jared McCain welcome to Toronto uh Cleveland your favorite City D Mills oh man he going to sell on purpose Cleveland he talking about LeBron’s name uh so for them they’ve really struggled at that Wing position um damn Mike took him [ __ ] I just realized that who I don’t know who like yeah trishan the Silva they could go big like I would maybe take Eve Mei here um but Tyler Smith going earlier like Eve Mei being on the board here I think is good value I’m sure the Pelicans would like him at 21 I would probably think about if you want another Wing like you could look at mcculler you could look at Jaylen Tyson you can look look at Teran Shannon the Sila um what are you looking for Wing yeah there so many it’s so so many just trying to I’m looking through my list I need some shooting over there Johnny fur yeah so for them since they are in a compete I think they can take a reach on a guy I’m going get him kaan George I don’t ha it I don’t know if the shots going to be as consistent right away but I think he could pull us on on the defensive end come in and really fit at that three spot and shoot the three ball well not a guy that needs the ball aot in order to shoot the ball at a high clip 21st New Orleans Kean George by the way Kean my bad um um who the Pelicans yeah there’s so many different ways we can go we don’t have I don’t the guy that I think would be perfect for them is already taken they are going to take a chance on somebody we gonna take a chance cuz the Pelicans got a lot of they got a lot of guys who can do things so we can we can we can take chances we gonna take um don’t take them we gonna take Isaiah KH dude I if he falls to 21 the Pelicans have to be all over that look herble expec that at all um who am I again the Suns yeah at at for the Suns we’re gonna take um Eve Mei yes that’s a good pick CL capella 2.0 I I think that’s really what I put his player compat as is Clint capella I mean yeah the the Suns could definitely use another big man if they I like if kak and BC are on the board there are 22 I like their options the bucks with the keep him in state we want to do this F to sit down in that chair and defend for give us Ryan Dunn oh you got him already and Andre Jackson D Ryan D definitely better Defender than Jackson was I don’t know who I like more offensively I honestly think Dunn like Jackson definitely a better shooter but I think Dunn is an overall player like dun’s a solid offensive player just anything outside of like 15 ft he can’t do much I mean Ryan dun is goingon to be a even better Defender but um who are we the Knicks take him away from I don’t want I don’t want Ryan down to go to I cannot believe one of these guys is still on the board but he doesn’t fit here the first Micks pick cuz you get the second one um Dron Holmes Welcome to New York and with most likely not coming back the Nicks needs some big so I would love Holmes there that’s a deido pick Deo gonna love him some D Ron holes bro you gonna Mo move Mitchell Robinson for something I don’t know maybe it’s now you got isaah hardstein starting and then you got D Ron holes coming off the bench we still got pressure to chew yeah they’ll figure it out um what our next pick in New York we’re going to take another guy Tom Tio would love that’s jayen Tyson out of cow boy I was hoping he fail welcome to the Big Apple my boy I like Tyson a lot it’s like I would love a big O in a guard because I still think that Knicks needs someone that could facilitate the second unit without Brunson and maybe now if everybody’s healthy they could stagger so many guys’ minutes like you have Dante dienzo and Josh har coming off the bench Randle could even run the point like in a pinch for seven minutes a night um in the second unit or that could be Mel Bridges or somebody like that so maybe kic isn’t really somebody they need but also someone that’s on the board that I’m a big fan of that I forgot is completely on the board there Bob Carrington all right so I’m the Washington carington in their I mean you gotta love that if you’re a Wizards fan jayon Jaylen Tyson um J I don’t know why jayan is crazy uh right here is where this D’s gonna fall out the first round who I’m not gonna say but Washington should be thinking about him unless he been drafted when I wasn’t paying attention did y’all take Carlton kton no that’s I’m thinking about yeah draft BB for Washington please please draft him BB I know who you’re talking about he’s looking for bub he’s looking for B you know who I’m talking about yes I do went to I forgot oh let mean not ask you that cuz oh you should have just responded with the JJ reic thing uh no I’m G take I’m GNA take Carlton Carr okay cool that’s bub yeah it is I forgot that’s his yes I know I was really looking at that yesterday that’s a good pick if he’s there at 26 26 come on that’s a steal Ste I got him I I wrote in there he’s a professional scorer already at 18 yeah I am uh say that Ro for GG Jacks Minnesota wolves mhm oh let’s get it who you giving him I see a dude up there they have naasri Rudy cat Jen McDaniels n Alexander Walker like I would take to kic or I would take whoever you think is going to be the better shooter like like I think Fury better long term shooting than mcculler or Shannon but I would also go mcculler and Shannon now too Anderson might be up though isn’t he is he a free agent I don’t know if he is but I don’t know how long he’s going to be in Minnesota I’m looking at Kevin Mccalla from Kansas and I’m also looking at Dylan Jones from Weber State and I’mma give him I’mma give him Dylan Jones from Weber State do it all guy next pick is the Denver Nuggets y we’re gonna take Cal filipowski he said he watched a bunch of yic film now he can play with [Laughter] yic um I have the Jazz back up at at the on the clock Illinois I like that oh yeah that’s gonna be their mock so that was like fun to watch I I obviously love reacting to mock drafts and video mocks are I think a little bit more fun as well cuz you get to see kind of like their thought process is or their reactions rather than an article itself like I said this is just going to be a Youtube video um so you guys hopefully will get another podcast out
