Andy and Brendan are together in the New York area for this lively Wednesday episode that runs the gamut of some tried and true SGS subjects. They begin by reading the latest description for a new Sun Day Red collection and then quickly transition to an article featuring lots of mule comments on PGA Tour reforms and ongoing PAC discussions. Is the Tour really churning the right way? The schedule for the week devolves into reading the tee sheet for the U.S. Senior Open, which provides ample entertainment and is loaded with goodies. News hits on the Dutch Olympic Federation telling its qualified golfers that they cannot play because they don’t think they’re good enough or capable of winning in Paris.

greetings and welcome to a Wednesday edition of the shotgun start it is June 26 Andy how we doing Brendan I’m doing all right you know I uh I think I had one too many Southside last night really yeah what what’s one too many you’re going to share I’m not going to count I’m not gonna I’m not going to count him up I was driving I didn’t want you know I come to Long Island don’t want to end up like Justin Timberlake gotta be responsible out here I took it easy uh but I tried one tried one what you go with for the alol I I had vodka and then I was told apparently you’re supposed to do tequila and the that that was the I guess the way they do it where we were or something like that I eventually switched to Mescal okay liked that smoke in there okay little Smokey little smoke little AI smoke or I want the smoke all the smoke bring on the smoke all right so you’re a little worse for the wear but we’re doing all right you’re fine I don’t think you’re worse you were looking ship r in the hotel lobby about 700 a.m. it looked like you already had a full day I found the latest um mule Whisperer article Adam shoe pack just can get these guys just rolling and I I found great humor in some of the things that were being batted about great let’s jump into that but first I know this is the foremost Sunday red update podcast and we have a Sunday red so we’re just going to we’re obligated out of a sense of Duty to relay the newest collection and how it’s Being Framed introducing the camo collection oh God parenthetically how did it take like month four to get camo going how does that happen that should that be I can’t wait for Tiger to be wearing camo at TR I think there’s like an Air Force Base right yeah right he’s just he’s going to think he can hop aboard a bomber and then just like take off and um introducing the camo collection crafted for the competitor who finds their inner calm no matter the noise that surrounds them what what is does camo Cano calm for some reason that I’ve previously unfamiliar with what is C why is camo I mean like maybe it it’s like because you’re going through the woods and trying to be quiet yeah I guess crafted for the competitor finds their inner calm no matter the noise that surrounds them so you put these clothes on and you’re good doesn’t matter doesn’t matter if there’s a drone meditating yeah that drone for Rob and Bobby Mack they just need the camo collection from Sun Day red so that’s your update on that what is this mule Whisperer article well I was going to I had something else for you yeah got troubling troubling development in Detroit okay what could that be reports from the ground the putter boy has made his presence is felt in Detroit there’s a putter boy statue at Detroit Golf Club really yes yes I got a picture um it was sent from the ground there is a putter boy statue at Detroit made his way up from Pinehurst or putter lad whatever it is it’s a small one it’s not the big one but putter boy is not only doesn’t only inhabit Piner he also inhabits Detroit uh someone sent us a rumor or no like a fact that there’s some I forget the details don’t there was a quote a club in Omaha that had a putter boy spitting image putter boy Doppel Gainer and uh Piner came after him apparently and they could prove that putter boy predated putter booy in Carolina no yes the Nebraska putter boy they had to stand out there was probably legal Fe attorneys billable hours involved in putter boy disputes or something like that incredible incredible putter boy drop I love that they went after another putter boy yeah well they love their putter boy in the sand hills and they they want to protect them so um The Mule was it’s it’s I mean it’s high time for the mule season right I mean this is the mules are kicking the mules have all made their way up to Detroit the Marshall March the M into the Michigan this Fields terrible he can’t speak like who would is that bad who would have expected the field was going to be bad when you had the memorial yeah the US Open then The Travelers another signature event major in playoff still to go in the in the uh in the summer who could have put together the schedule and said you know what this rocket mortgage Fields gonna suck I mean this has literally been the case of the PJ tour like you get to this point they changed markets they’ll go to Minnesota they’ll go to Detroit I mean I guess it was good when tiger had it at Congo around you know Fourth of July I I couldn’t tell you maybe the fields they started to get bad well they had the Bry and Matt wolf a couple years ago which was pretty good yeah but that some of it like the pandemic made these events have like kind of a windfall year there or two remember when Bryson got mad at like the security here yeah or he got mad at the cameras started shouting at the cameras for being in his face what a turn for Bryson now he’s just he’s grabbing every camera he can see and jamming it in his face with his own two hands apparently it seems like Now’s the Time to ask for Bryson to come on the Pod do you think he’d come on the pod put in a request I mean he’s doing appearance he’s on the cover of Golf Digest he might be on the cover of golf I don’t know I’m sure you know of course there requisites for those covers is just you know complete fluff right don’t ask me any hard questions let me sell whatever I’m selling but Bryson’s making the rounds maybe we put in the request we just ask him about making content online and nothing else um what’s going on with the mules the you you got Adam shoe pack got an article it’s all about where the PGA Tour is going uh you know Adam’s got just a a great way of just putting the mic putting the putting the recorder down and letting these guys he might be known me Whisperer in some quarters he knows how to get the guys Nate Lashley he can just get going this time he he he cornered a couple shotgun start favorites he got stelman pepy Peter and lanto Griffin talking talking about what’s going on in the pack lant is just a well you can always go to never runs dry so you know there’s a lot of optimism on the pack sure Kevin stman for the first time in a while I was excited after last pack meeting in Fort Worth during the Charles Schwab challenge we started talking and spitballing ideas about what things could look like there are some th ideas that seem very good and would bring some consistency and true competitiveness to the top players in the world and get and still give a soft landing and a hopeful Resurgence an opportunity if you fall off who doesn’t like a soft Landing we just need more soft Landing Landing yeah that’s exactly more golden parachute in and pro golf there’s this super tour up here that everyone wants to be on in the Big T uh the big tournaments but then you still want to be able to play and support your family and some hope of getting back there are some cool ideas of relegation and promotion going both ways so lanto talked about you know there’s real talk about field so the field sizes going maximum being 120 yeah and atlanto said talked about the gradual diminishment of the tour oh god of that the the number of cards yes yes not I think it’d be gradual so that’s 125 to 120 120 to 115 to slowly push lower and have less Q school and corn fairy graduates what so we’re just going to have the same system but we’re just going to lessen the number of promotion opportunities that doesn’t seem right why are they lessening the number of promotion opportunities I might have zoned they’re going to lessen the cards okay but the whole thing what’s it going to take five year or 10 years to get down to 100 exempt players well that I mean like they’re going to go five a year they’re going to take one off one a piece just like slow little haircut little nip and Tuck there and here um okay here’s some more begar can’t be choosers we have lanto in theory getting on board here with the reduction of cards yeah but five a time I just I think we progress is Progress Atlanta who otherwise would be shouting about how you know you know Robert grias should be in every event and things like that I I think he’s he’s I just they the pack is I felt like they’re moving in the right direction or at least people are starting understand mov in the right direction they’re just still miles off I mean they you they outlin the details it’s like 16 members it’s just like there’s no way it’s just guys so many viewpoints too many voices they’re playing on the B Tour this year uh this year in an Ideal World the PGA Tour should be 20 to 22 tournaments from January to August see this is maybe maybe 16 start again starting to come around you’ve got mules saying 20 22 events it’s starting to come around I know that’s not every week then have some tournaments go to the corn Ferry just throwing random names these tournaments just got thrown under the bus F I mean he should have stopped his quote and he just went for it cognis which is the Palm Beaches yeah former Anda Anda a Valero a Dominican those are corn fairy Majors you win one of those and you get promoted in season it’s just an idea of having it where two signature uh events in a row week off three on whatever it needs to be to get the top play top guys don’t have to play every week they’re still playing together but it’s 120 man Fields if you get your card through corn fairy it’s top 20 or top 25 you’re in those we all think that’s the ideal situation whether or not I’ll get there who knows it’s nowhere close it’ll get there not I’ll it’ll get there he’ll be there it’s not I’m getting he’ll be walking up the hill at Riviera hell or high water I think the the other a thing about this that needs to be addressed and I think this is a an ongoing Trend the the corn fairy Tour golf courses are not indicative of a PGA Tour golf course and that seems to be to be a big problem with promotion I think like your your best players get up there like you know like your Scotty shefflers are going to get up the very best players they’ll get up regardless but there is this issue of like there are there you know our probably some of our favorite 48 guys yeah the reason they don’t cut it they don’t cut it because they literally cannot play ball they can hit the 93 mph when he when he gets up to 98 and it’s got action on it you know 280 hitter becomes 180 and that’s where I do like the lanto thing about like the Valero if that if you put TPC San Antonio that is like a hard golf course that is a golf course that is like you got to you got to hit golf shots on a lot of these corn fairy tour it’s just just blast driver lob wedge yeah I mean isn’t that a lot of the PGA Tour well yeah that’s that’s just a little harder a little more penalty well I’m still operating under the the idea that we’re going to get to the my prerequisites what was that are the top players playing is this a great if it doesn’t answer questions we’re not playing it’s just a wild wild notion great players Great Courses wild uh I just I think it gets to a larger point of I mean professional golf can look a lot of different ways and seem like entirely different not sports but games almost right and we’re hitting that this week we hit it last week Detroit is going to be soft it’s too short I think the average winning score lman wrote about in tour guide subscribed to Club TFE you might get access to a member guest event like we had yesterday here on Long Island but he he said like I think the average score is 23 under the average and it’s going to go higher there’s rain forecasted it’s just so that is not the golf that was at we need to stop we do need to stop with the score like score indicating it’s a style play like we need like I was talking with somebody yesterday because they were talking about the golf course we were playing and how the winning like this is a great golf course but if you brought the tour guys out here the winning score would be bananas low and I think like yeah the scores would be low but I think some of these golf course and this golf course would never host a PGA Tour event let me just be clear here but I’m just going to use some great golf courses sure might yield some scorers but the key thing to think about and look at is like does it present really challenging shots at times and the problem with so many of these tour courses um TPC River Highlands probably being the poster child is that it just like rarely puts a player in a situation where it’s like you know what I have to hit a really good shot because the greens are so docile and the surrounds are so benign it’s just like okay like anywhere I hit this it’s going to be really easy to get up and down for par these guys short games are so good that’s what makes great golf courses I think great in a in general is they they put you in moments of discomfort it could be a golf course that’s fairly easy to break par on but it could put you into a number of situations where you feel like you have to hit a really great shot and I think that’s the problem with Co like just like correlating winning score with it whether it’s easy or not like par is just a figurative [ __ ] madeup number that help people understand golf on television but like what you what you need is people that identify what a good golf course is for a PGA Tour setup that can look P score and look at does this put players in challenging positions with some regularity and if that means the winning score is 38 under I don’t give a care I don’t give a [ __ ] because that’s a better Golf Course to play than the golf course that like it’s literally like I can miss this anywhere around the green if I don’t hit it in a water hazard and it’s going to be I’m going to get up and down 80% of the time um yeah people people will just say oh what do you hate birdies you hate fun I think like the counter is now it’s a little more well I think like calua is like a great example of this like where you can score you can go bananas low there but like you’re constantly in weird positions where you’re hitting these like sill downhill lies to Greens at different elevations with Contours like and if you hear really good shot you get really rewarded or a good shot you get really rewarded I don’t think it has like it doesn’t shed the ball as much because it’s a resort course but you are rewarded for high level play and shots with some degree of difficulty because of the topography and the greens frequently some wind good win often there um let me just read you off this run July is not the High Times why you got the venue have to hate on the Great Lakes TPC River Highlands I’m just saying venues here Detroit Golf Club TPC Deer Run sarm Keen Trace Golf Club Tahoe Mountain for the Cuda um Pacific Northwest and then we go TPC sod farm so you know of course we have a trune in there if you make it but we’re talking about this other tour where do you test guys the bour uh you don’t you forgot about the Renaissance oh well yeah that’s they’re playing at Keen Trace that week they’re not playing the Renaissance um so and then you get to Sedgefield eventually so there’s just like these are the events that this is crunch time for them this is you know like this is when they can maybe get a point or two uh just to talk about some what a bad end of the schedule right and you get to Sedgefield and that’s not going to be you know that that’s a lot of guys are playing that if they need to get in that’s 70 cut off now so you know who’s playing Just Oh I thought you GNA say Justin Thomas just a guy just a guy JT appearing at the Panthers game PE game oh yeah he he’s he’s I I can’t figure out Alabama the thir bucking chance to jump on the ride the ride the PIP train there’s a social media post about it um so it’s not the strongest finish this season can we get to malady’s comments yes go please do pppy Peter all this is just you know what a what a researched uh post here from from Sho Pac here just got a lot of respective yeah Woodward and Bernstein with the m the best is it’s all like the same type of player there’s so anecdote of of I forgot maybe lanto talking to Sam Burns you know yeah a stman or yeah Somebody went up I think it was lanto you’re right right uh those are the questions we’re just starting to tackle if if we’re going to minimize the size of the membership gradually over the next few years we’ve got to create a platform where guys are motivated to go play and earn their way back to the tour uh what we have now is a survival tour I don’t think it’s a survival tour it seems like a get up to the big tour and then you know you’re if you keep stick around for a year you’re really set it’s going to be hard to get off that I mean this is a Nick Hardy told me at the Players like two years AG a lot of people like they saw this coming a little bit they’re like oh if I can get into that like 50 I feel like I might never leave um and here we got brenley just to support this brenley had some good tweets did you see these comparisons about churn you can’t just say uh issue isn’t necessarily churn it’s who is churning as of now just one single kft or Q School grad is inside the top 70 Jake nap who won and then the next up is G up at who won Opa or alternate event whatever it’s called so he’s 83 he’s not even top 70 with the win uh like you can wait that how you want Myrtle Beach but then he says you can’t just this is brenley follow brenley on Twitter you can’t just say play better when there’s a huge casm between total points guys are playing for so Lucas Glover top 50 17 events 11 ,000 points available gup 17 events also 8,000 points available another one Ricky 90th in FC FEC 17 events 11,100 points available Pearson Cy also uh 15 events 6,800 so a little more than half uh well why it has to be two the turn isn’t necessarily happening with the with in in the right manner I guess is the point it’s why like they’re trying to run one tour but but it’s very clear there’s two tours that’s the issue I think they’re getting at it though here with like the idea of like corn Fairy like corn fairy tour has to be almost Pro propped up um yeah could be could be a good windfall for corn and Ferry though we’re talking Maj now yeah whatever they get the the whatever I think I’d be into fair I think I’d be into it being branded as a corn fairy major yeah more than the [ __ ] sandwich that we got this week that’s being described as this is just as good as our good sandwich you know it’s not a [ __ ] sandwich every morning we drink our ag1 we’re on the road this week we got our travel packs handy with us uh you’re you’re talking I mean you’re healthc conscious fella you’ve got your yoga mat you’re traveling with you’ve got your ag1 uh and now I you you you really scun this on me the other day you’re glutenfree I’m just doing just trying but you’re very shiftless with your gluten dedicate I mean all of a sudden there’s a lobster roll available last night you’re a lobster lobster roll all right like I I decided I think the more things being conscious it’s what I tell my wife is that it’s a mindset so you’re you know it’s more of a mindset than anything a mindset well you’re a conscious fell your mindset is to have your AG G1 I do to every morning it’s a morning routine that’s critical to us uh and it’s drinking your ag1 you’re not spending the day chasing those nutrients maybe you get out on the golf course and you’re on your front foot not your back footy would say all they’ve got is a hot dog on the golf course I don’t need that right now or all they’ve got is you know something unhealthy but you you’ve set your base for the morning with your ag1 research study show um I know this is a big one for you less gas and bloating they love citing that statistic from their research studies uh they felt more calm uh fewer Cravings uh 94% noticed fewer Cravings 97% felt better digestion after 90 days of drinking ag1 80 or 97% felt more energy after 30 days well I like that it’s just an easy quick thing to do it’s not going to take you for you just shake it you go and you feel like you’ve set off on the right foot for personal anecdote this is this is not a study this is not a study done this is a personal anecdote okay might help you when you’ve had one too many South sides if you if you knock it out the night before pop it in there you might feel a little better in the morning if there’s one TR product I trust to support my whole body Health it’s a on and that’s we’ve partnered with them for almost two years now uh if you want to start your journey with ag1 try ag1 and get a free one-year supply of vitamin D3 K2 and five free ag1 travel packs with your first purchase at drink a1.com shotgun that’s drink a1.com shotgun so start it up there um anything else on the mule stuff I got I got something else Mel Nati this was maybe my favorite okay Mel malady said the tour has drawn inspiration from Theo fine of SSG who gave a presentation in April that showed how Major League Baseball created a spreadsheet of categories with headers such as this is possible and it can help this is very unlikely and it can help this is very far-fetched and it can help there were nine categories in all and then it went into talking about how you know Epstein you know when they laid it out in 2014 at first they had the pitch clock in the far-fetched column and it could go back yeah I just I would love if somebody got me this spreadsheet their working spreadsheet with their ideas 16 guys oh I just would I I think that might be that might be something that I reference for the rest of my life that would be a good one there’s so many things it could be there could be like cart shuttles for for families or something in there there could be ag1 and player dining who knows who knows what they need just unlimited range balls every TPC course wherever I am who knows I think they already get that I think they do too I’m I’m trying to think of what it could make it even better I think there could be like a smoothie bar at the turn uh smooth bar uh this was a good article ability to have player uh to have coaches inside the ropes giving lessons while while on the on the te like tennis where you the coach can come in give you kind of give you some gesticulating about how you can be better or or calm down this can do that you’re okay one one free drop uh regardless of situation per per per tournament relief of any kind we might have a video of you going up of you should have taken relief of any kind we might have we might have a a distinguished analyst I’m a proper Sportsman I don’t take relief I try to play the that must play boldly to win as Arnold Palmer said and I played it off a bulkhead it didn’t go well yesterday I having I I I threw I threw some Chum in the water to see see what a former major Champion would would think of your play yeah and uh and you were trying to explain yourself about trying to pop the top of the ball off the ball cut and he and he commented I’ve never thought about that in my life with the term po I said well you’re not you I play a game with which you’re unfamiliar the great uh quote about Jack Bobby Jones on next Jack Nicholas so that I’m just we make up terms down here in the muck pop the top of the ball get it off the ball cut I’m just trying to move it I don’t I don’t understand what you’re trying to do I had I I watched the video and I I the reason I sent it along was I call to many and to question a lot of the decision making it was our 18th hole of the day hour whatever I’m just trying to move it along I’m not taking relief I’m going for it I’m not being a pansy I’m not trying to win The Masters here I’m going to have a little fun and I didn’t think through the strategy of how to actually hit the ball I got to get the audio to PJ PJ’s here I got to get the audio and the video could go viral dribbles back into the hazard as I that I miss it as it goes in trying to sa H your body I think it hit my foot and then it and then I’m like well I better at least preserve the ball then it dribbles off into the hazard so weren’t ready for it didn’t go well um you weren’t do you do you teach a ready position in baseball yeah sure yeah you weren’t in ready position catch the ground defensive stance and basketball yeah any other thing um uh one thing in conjunction with the whole the the the 16 man all this I thought Josh Carpenter had a good article or some insight uh the PJ tour events are starting to uh you know prepare for the blow of all the price hikes you know there was outright screaming and hollering when it was first announced the numbers this is his reporting starting 25 events are paying 125 Grand in the fall 250 grand for full field 500 for Signature Events they increased to 25500 and a million in 2026 uh additionally starting in 25 hey who 1% tour the tour like the tournament’s revenues they pay back like a million dollars of your signature event in 2026 and then additionally starting in 202 to to the PGA Tour the event yes the events are yes to the to to the sending it across the mode back uh additionally starting 2025 each event will give 1% of its tournament Revenue back to the tour that number increases to 1.5% 26 and 2% 27 which you know depending on revenues 2% sounds like a small number but could be you know significant it’s a salary or two and you know there’s a varying degree of reaction to some events you know the CJ cup Byron Nelson guy was like all right we’ll figure it out the the farmers guy was like I mean might have to cut a person or two so you know these little nips and Tucks it’s it’s going back to the players going back to sprinkled around the mules The Mule Barn or wherever it may be but uh yeah that’s the you know it’s cutting into the Charities that obviously these and the tour does a great job I love charity as you know it’s 313 week um but like they they’re cutting in to to wear money in small amounts or or significant to some goes elsewhere so we got that going on a nice little week uh this is when these subjects become High Times right as the season ends and the golf is I don’t know can be somewhat dramatic but but less who are you picking for the 3 Tom Kim Tom Kim I think it’s Tom Kim time right now he’s playing I would say there’s there’s slim pickings as you noted the field I think you called it terrible and stifling laughter at the start of this podcast uh I love the Monday Q section just uh Ryan French had he was in our newsletter Jay Jay did a good job pulling that newsletter to get shout out Jay rigon but um Ryan French covers this obviously every week there was an amazing story with Nick bayen this week we might have had someone who played college golf against him tell us like that got in the PJ tour and yeah he’s never played in any competitive events tour level competitive events yeah and he you know had three beers but the names in the Danny guys Nick bayen Brandon Barry and Angelo janso sopis so we got an Angelo a Danny uh a nice little greek there from in Detroit so good Monday Q I’m going with Tom Kim though I’m taking o playing a lot of good golf that’s good good you know soft and long on or you know soft I should say not firm and swings back tiled into the proper what he’s used to as he said a TPC River that’s right he’s got the spin control you know what the event of the week is this week what is it us Senior Open maybe the one of the few senior events that should exist it’s at Newport Country Club one of the founding five of USGA you know why it’s the why it’s the event of the week why Westy just look looking for his first major he moves he’s looking to become like Stricker knock down a few majors in in the Twilight of his career Monty won my yeah now wesy head heads you know the greatest players never to win a major Westy heads to the senior tour looking to rack up majors and try and shed that distinction that’s interesting that’s maybe why he finished fourth at at last week at live Nashville yeah he’s motivated peing he wants to be on the Dick Bland plan where he jumps over wins a senior major game within the game will you humor will you humor me yeah will you take uh Blandy yeah we I can take wesy yeah you’re all time your one of your faves Westy one of my favorite cleaks dick bland is Bland in the field are we sure he’s in the field should be let me he’s got to be right see if he made uh notables Westy’s not in notables maybe that’s cuz blanks is playing Dicky Bland yeah he’s playing with Tong chai Tong chai JD I love J D just he was one of my f he was he and Matteo man were two favorites in a the great Tong chai Tong Choy the uh oh you know who qual Monday they have Monday qualify for Champions to our event someone sent us in last week Eric axley who I can’t believe he’s 50 no he’s Monday qualified into God there’s so many good names names in this you got you got trip Keeny qualified in awesome usj family for the ages you senior he had to he had to have played uh um the usam probably in 95 the one that tiger won uhuh over maruchi okay he had to have played it that play Newport yeah I think he might have made it to the semis in that okay um Nota what listen to this listen to this pairing this is a cheeky pairing USGA cheeky pairing these are like the tiger connections trip Keeny Nota and uh Chris Riley what’s the Chris Riley I thought Chris Riley was like boys with tiger at one point okay if I remember correctly maybe drip drip they played like practice rounds together they had like a a thing right where they enjoyed each other’s company they went back and forth on the the am circuito well that too yeah well they have a history oh Woody A’s in it PJ PJ are you excited for this week you got Champions Tour minute PJ coming on Monday major someone a friend of the friend of the program suggested we could start calling that second the second lease on life segment and PJ comes in and talks about the champions tour so he’s got ample opportunity young PJ young PJ watching Champions Tour golf uh we’ll talk more about that think of a better way to learn about an era that you weren’t alive yeah Dad tell me about th Don ID well son Let’s watch Newport um so let’s just schedule for the Troy and and Brian Gay are together wow that’s the 59 and undergr I wish I could go to this event now I mean Newport looks fantastic Matt Rouses went up there shot at the course obviously it looks fantastic we had some good assets for that talk about venues elevating or at least a little more Intrigue or interest how about this last te time off 10 oh God Brad step not the GM of the Celtics not Stevens Stephen do you think he gets mistaken every once in a while so instead of a gaggle of guys named Steven that’s just one Brad Steven went from plural to singular they got the President’s Cup pairing these guys I think are all President’s Cup team hopefuls Stephen Ames Steven aler and Ernie El Big Ear those guys are all potential Captain’s picks I think for Montreal I mean aler just showing up in fres cup would be incredible pair him with the fellow Aussie that’s unbelievable we need to get Bob I’m surprised Mike Weir’s not playing with him to replacing as to get a closer look like dl3 when he was playing with salur and cam young dl3 55y old dl3 yeah not really playing anymore but get using spots in full field event PJ tour FedEx EV to look at Players uh how about this how about this what Glenn all day he slow come and Fran Quinn I like that was Fran Quinn just didn’t give somebody the time of day after like sectional qualifying I think really it might Dann I think it might have been Danny Boy no don’t like that um let’s just do schedule for the week while we’re here we’re bouncing around rocket they got Cal and Tommy Dockers together that’s a good one champ open Champions former open Champions together onetime major winner Steven DOD Steven do how did get won the Senior Open maybe or something Eric [ __ ] in there with amateur CH Todd White Todd White you know renowned uh amateur golfer he gets paired with the Germans with ja and L longer oh that’s interesting I think I think Todd White’s from Spartanburg uh South Carolina okay Spartanburg Bel uh you know uh Bel Berlin I have the wrong be Belgium Brussels Berlin you know it’s all the same uh schedule for the week PGA Tour we already mentioned Rock and mortgage classic that’s a mix of Golf Channel and CBS uh your notables for that are Dunlap Ricky Tom Kim minw Lee Molinari thorb Json the great molari Franchesco Camilo and Gary Woodland at the senior tour we talk about Newport Country Club the US Senior Open uh that is on Golf Channel peacock and NBC it’s a little early NBC network coverage on uh on the weekend notables are that ell’s fura Harrington Miguel anel loner Monty shrier we did get uh we got special extra notables for that I believe we had Duke Steven and Horn the vs blanks Ames and tanigawa are those just assassins of various kinds with Richard Bland Richard Lee Richard green and Dicky Pride the dick some Christian rer son of grand that I almost brought that up slow Mario resty guy boros can I can I real quick your guy Scott faucet go ahead my guy my pal water water under the bridge trying to get four years later still trying trying to trying to get that uh that trying to move beyond that move on with with life didn’t make another Dick song Still Still get maybe all right still getting pulled down y um little little unsubstantiated rumor godar your SD’s taking enough on this podcast just let the man age into gra I want you to guess the make the make and model of this car that he drives Omar um what do you think Omar drives like a Dodge Stratus no I don’t know a Mercedes illustrious Club Pro I know um a Range Rover or something like if if Club Pro guys drive a Miata yeah what’s the what’s the what’s the upgraded version of a Miata I’m going to I’m going to guess like of a certain generation I’m going to guess Cadillac some sort of like the Cadillac San like a 50s guy this I’m still it appears to me to be like a early 2000s a picture of oh God you cannot you cannot look over here this is this is you’re you’re trying to jump on my source here I’m not looking at any Source interesting all right two made like an early 2000s Corvette Chevy Corvette okay all right and uh my favorite thing my favorite thing I’m somebody I got a Corvette I’m not going to give away the full the full license plate but the license plate start oh no he’s got a vanity starts with oh man Oman maybe he’s just the he likes the Oman open or whatever that event man ends ends with I’m not giving away the full license plate but it’s oh man something at the end that might be the best part of it but I can’t go away the full license oh that’s the Corvette that’s good vny played on Corvette slow more um should be slow more schedule for the we god let’s just we’re slowly puttering and billing you know why because we don’t have our good walk coffee that’s right we need we are not super fueled yet I had to drink this uh this coffee Hilt Garden in coffee we’ll put the name brand out there why are we giving away free ads I know Hilton’s looking for a golfer golf sh for golfer sponsorship they are yeah yeah okay they’re trying to sponsor a golfer they were worried they they couldn’t you know they they got higher expectations than their budget apparently oh okay think they can just get tiger or something for you know yeah certain person on a player side was telling me that you know Hilton was just not floating numbers that were commensurate with the with the rate that they were price of the brick yeah yeah I thought one of my favorite Charming usop moments was player in the event a PJ Tour player maybe even in the signature category was staying at the media Hotel the Spring Hill sweets maybe maybe the more famous uh short name at this point the more accomplished more yeah yeah wasn’t that the piece um but they don’t ever good walk here at the Hilton so we’re we’re slowly puttering through this episode that’s right not a lot of pace honestly with what’s going on in golf we’re just trying to find F we’re just trying to fill minutes here PJ PJ we gotta pull the giveaways if you’re a subscriber we have I have these USL I’ve got the all this stuff let’s do the next episode remind us we’re announcing the names for all our us PE boy merch you got to find that figure that out we’re going to have giveaways we’re going to have uh you know outings we’re going to have all sorts of welcome you obviously it’s hopefully helps you it’s something you actually use they’re great they’ve been awesome people to work with really helpful uh go to goodw walk coffee.com shotgun use the promo code s yes sign up subscribe we’re going to have more and more giveaways as the year goes on uh and certain perks for if you’re in the subscription how about this how about this guy’s name in the Senior Open Burke Nelson b iir k What not Bert not Kirk Burke how’d you get there just was staring me right back in the face I don’t yeah uh Elsewhere on our schedule for the week on the lpj tour we have the D Championship I know one of your favorite golf courses Midland CC Michigan uh that is a mix of Golf Channel and uh yeah CBS even a finish at CBS on 3 pm on Sunday um I don’t know what notables are that in a major looks like most of them this a team event boutier and saso are together ccho and Ali Ying uh the Janar sisters Ru and Yin is playing with Ty tiol Charlie Hall and Georgia Hall One V off the hall Hall combination is there in the team event and Jin Yano and NASA there’ll be some cigarette content do you think somebody’s G to ask Georgia if she’s GNA smoke sigs never ends I saw an article about about uh Charlie uh autographing thought I knew you were going there cigarette I I purposely made sure that didn’t get in the show notes and we didn’t discuss that today cuz we just I knew you were like I knew you wanted to talk about it yeah um so that’s their Dow championship and I think that covers hey can we talk about this Olympic thing this is wild yeah oh DP World Tour Italian Open we got a shout out there one of our favorite the Adriatic Golf Club in Seria in Milan we got to get out of here we’re we’re we’re run that’s the that’s the Italian Open a national open Don’t shout don’t don’t try to shout down a national open one of the best ones over there the Olympics the Netherlands what’s going on in the nether this is incompetence I thought that country was chilled out so so what happened I don’t have the golfers names in front of me Darius vreal that’s poor Darius vreal um the Dewey Dewey D Weber Weber uh on the on the women’s side qualified so four for by the I so the I the way the ioc determines the field is it’s effective L the top 60 players you know a couple countries get four in if you have players in the top 15 you can get four players in but most countries get two so it’s like the top 60 ranked International Players like with that exclusion like once you hit two in a country the country is no longer open yeah so the Netherlands had four players qualify for two women two men two women two men and only one and vanam and vanam is being allowed to play in the tournament because they’ve deemed that these other players do not do not have they don’t have a chance to to uh contend so the country is not paying for them to go this is insane oh it’s not insane I mean it’s proponents of cutthroat corner I think we like a little I love that you SED on this one a little subjective anal here the coach said you know I don’t think you guys have a chance getting in the top eight this is ridic going the players offered to pay they will pay like is it a money thing we’ll like cover our cost and pay our own way this this is a career Lifetime Achievement we get to play in the Olympics they just said no they they they Jam Juiced they jamm Juiced Lon he’s one of the men along with Darius who didn’t get in Darius Darius yeah I mean are the Olympics going to backfill the spots that’s a good question I don’t think they are what this was an end maybe satini get get the Slovak in the Netherlands just like we like the sabatini content we want him in there uh you stay home uh I think it’s a shame things aren’t being expanded you said Dutch people have a chance vanam was in to Tokyo will besseling was not why are we not doing this uh I think they’re just they just said they can’t you know we don’t think good enough to get which not worth there are criteria they have to be the top 24 the top 24 of this top 60 in the ioc to send them I could send this to the pack God so this is how we get a little more cut through yeah we should get at lanto what what does lanto think about this I mean they outright qualified it’s silly it’s insane it’s crazy I just like think about somebody qualifying for the Olympics and being like no we literally just saw this R satini was is not a competitive golfer anymore and he get delivers a silver medal who knows UST gets hot at the golf National it’s crazy I think the thing is like a UST might be able to play like he’s not the biggest boy he been he’s a short played he’s been on the DP World Tour for Ever playing there maybe he’s maybe this is the type of precision course he needs takes driver out of a lot of people’s hands we had juice Luton against Scotty Sheffer on Sunday at the Olympics great content all right I think that does it for this uh Wednesday episode on the road at the Hilton Long Island we G we G to go battle New York City traffic again yeah we got to jump into the Jump Into The Inferno that is New York City traffic uh go to goodw walk coffee.com shotgun subscribe there get the good stuff uh keeps us on the road keeps us moving uh supports the podcast we will be back with you on Friday I want to get to some of this Scotty shuffler driver data we got to get into that we’ll we’ll talk a little bit more about that on Friday driving car data or driver driver the the the golf club uh we’ll talk to you guys on Friday thanks for your support
