got to start with the sub 60 round Doug says you’ll never get tired of talking about it so I’m taking advantage of it fair enough but coming coming off that energy is do you use that to fuel you this week or are you over it and wanting to move on um I mean it’s certainly a nice a nice thing to kind of have in your back pocket um if it starts to feel like it’s not going great like hey I shot 59 not very long ago so it’s in there somewhere um but yeah I mean I had I had frankly kind of struggled leading up to you know through Thursday of last week um and I kind of just kept saying it’s going to go pretty hard the other way at some point and um yeah I feel like I’ve been playing some decent golf for a while and scoring poorly and then to kind of see the scores coming a little bit more is is really promising sure how do you feel about your game on courses like this I know everyone calls it oldfashioned but it can be a lot of fun to come down to the short game yeah I think it’s uh I think it’s a really nice t I mean the scoring tends to be pretty good but at the same time I mean it’s not like it’s wide open uh it’s not like the greens are all flat people are just really good at golf and uh it’s one of those placs that if you get comfortable you do have a few wedges and you do have some really uh you know attackable holes um it played a little harder today I think just cu the bar fivs were all into the wind so they weren’t really reachable for the most part but um I I really like the golf course I like the way a lot of the t-shots are framed by the trees um it feels kind of like Northeast golf to me which is very familiar you played well here before is there a sense of comfort coming back to a course that you do know well yeah I mean I’ve I just played the one time two years ago um and obviously did play well so I feel like it’s always nice going back somewhere that you know you’ve performed well before um but yeah it’s a place that I liked then and I like now it’s it’s a comfortable you know the grasses are like home for me in New York and um I just like the way it looks Kim had a had a question for you about sort of impostor syndrome I was just talking to to Nick Dunlap and he he obviously young college comes and wins on tour then you got miles Russell a teenager 15-year-old who’s going to te up out here when did when did things click for you and you just felt like you’re sort of riding things for a while I imagine on on the tour can you define imposter syndrome before so I don’t sound stupid okay imposter syndrome just sort of the idea of like how am I really here like like one day you’re a kid and then one day when does that connect yeah um I think it’s gradual I mean for me the first bunch of tournaments it was exactly like that I mean just why am I allowed in the locker room with whoever it is or um but yeah I mean I think I was fortunate early on having some some good finishes that at least golf wise make it feel like you know there’s no reason you shouldn’t be out here um and I would imagine some of it’s the same for Nick I mean coming out and winning uh I I know he hasn’t played his best golf since but he’s going to have that that win you know kind of as a proof that he’s he can play well out here so it’s just a matter of doing what he does um I’ve spent a little bit of time with him the last little bit uh had lunch with him a few times and he doesn’t seem uncomfortable to me um he really seems older than he is and um yeah I mean that seems feel older saying this now but I mean every every group of people that comes out is younger and younger and more prepared um to compete out here so it’s just not a shock to see guys that are 20 and even younger than that performing at a high level do you remember a moment for you where either either a shot or a conversation or something not really I just I feel like I just settled in over the course of my first year and um president cup was really nice for me just because I got to sit around the same table as some of the bigger names uh in the game and um just to kind of be considered in that that group even for just that week was was cool for me I think and made me more comfortable personally but golf wise it’s just been gradual I mean at this point I’m I’m pretty comfortable um I know that when I play well it’s going to be you know pretty good and uh yeah I think it just takes a little bit of time good thanks cam appreciate it
