The NEW Callaway AI Smoke Mini Driver Has ONE BIG ISSUE!

I am a huge fan of mini drivers and for me TaylorMade have done it best for years and years. But now Callaway have brought a serious contender to the market, just how good will the Callaway mini driver be? and how will it fair against the taylormade burner mini driver? let’s find out… and let’s do it now!

[Music] that is exactly what this drive is all about there we go there’s definitely something in this guys it’s very rare that I get excited about a new golf club release but as you can see this was Express delivered to myself because we are going away on holiday I’m actually going to film the rest of this video on holiday but I am so excited for what is in this box because as you all know I’m a huge fan of a certain driver and this is another adaptation of one of those drivers guys if I can get this ever open introducing the brand new oh at this the brand new Callaway Paradigm AI it’s only a mini driver guys I’m Mega excited about this we’re going to test it in here in the studio for some numbers I’m also going to test it in the gorgeous turkey don’t know what cost yet but in some sunshine and see if this could find its way in my bag and just how good it really is for the money no Bobby either today bobb’s not here again holiday yeah it’s been noted look how good that looks oh yes first job Loft it down so guys first job I’m going to do with this Paradigm AI smoke is turn it into the Beast that it should be so as you can see this is 13 and 1 12° but to take it away with me I’m actually going to set it on the lower setting which will be 11 and 1/2 and I’m also let’s get that down minus 2 not plus two minus standard this always gets me this neutral minus one there we go so it’s going to be 122° and we can of course shift about these weights as well so I can put the heavy weight at the front of this golf club that’s going to bring CG more towards the face actually of course make it a low spin mini driver very similar to the tailor made burner Mini driver the new one and I think it’s revolutionary that you can change these weights in shouldn’t do this with a t-shirt across 12 g at the front 16 G worth of movable goodness and you can see it’s a titanium 340 mini driver I’ve been waiting for this for so long right keep chucking stuff on the floor don’t without any further Ado let’s get the turkey in the sunshine and hit some of these so as you can imagine when I heard there was a brand new Callaway AI smoke Paradigm mini driver coming out all my Christmases Christmases felt like they came at once we are out here at the Glorious Gloria Golf I I can’t believe I’ve just said that wasn’t a pun but today we’re talking Callaway Paradigm AI smoke mini driver and this thing for me is potentially the most exciting release of 20124 you can see we have the movable weights we have a ton of technology in here to go at so let’s get it tested we’re going to test test it out here at the again glorious Gloria Golf and of course we’re going to test it in the studio for numbers see just how it does go we’re also going to test it at some point this week against the OG potentially like the well let’s face it the best in the game at Mini Drivers the tailor made burner and so what a start we have 500 yard par five one of the narrowest driving holes I think I’ve ever seen and there a small matter of some water to go over to get to the green this is where the mini driver could come in clutch and as you can see the head on this driver is absolutely gorgeous can we hit the Fairway a couple of times here how far are we going to get with this mini driver and how does it look compared to the tailor made let’s go up those trees and just try a nice little fade well I’ll tell you what to kick things off this is where I think this could be the best test for the new Callaway mini driver because we’ve just had a 2-hour drive along the Turkish Coastline as you can see we are all inclusive this week so um yeah so we’re a little bit stiff we’re a little bit sore but this is where the mini driver could potentially really work nicely for me same shot the Fairway finder is it the best forgiving driver of the year that’s two for two and Brett stood behind us and he’s looking very worried cuz we’re having a match today and if this works it could it could be the answer right can we hit three for three then can we hit one over the water to the green same shot oh we’ve just caught the trees I went after that one a bit too much so interesting talking points about this new Callaway Paradigm AI smoke Drive the first thing is to be honest I can’t believe it’s finally here when I heard a rumor about it I thought oh that’s going to be amazing and then when it turned up like the day after I honestly could not believe it tech-wise you’ll see with this glob it’s jum full of the same technology that the Paradigm AI smoke driver does feature we have the AI smart face we have that carbon Crown we also have movable weight technology which you also get in the tailor made I feel like Calla almost waited to see what tailor made were doing thought you know what let’s just try and do this but better and that’s what we’re here to find out at the Glorious Gloria Golf and you see mini drives are a strange thing because they’re not really a new phenomenon are they a 340 CC head isn’t anything new but then realistically it is because 46 C ads are all the rage I can’t get my words out quick enough cuz I’m so excited two fantastic shots there and one I mean we keep them all in one that we don’t really want to talk about too much although we haven’t lost one yet so there is that um we just caught the trees unfortunately so that is two out of three ain’t bad as a wise man one said let’s test it from the Fairway and see just how good it is before we jump in the studio and see just how good it really is for numbers CU that’s what we all want to know isn’t it and this is what we like to see two shots in the Fairway it is an incredibly tight Golf Course here in turkey at the Glorious I keep saying that Gloria Golf we are that back on so I’ve hit those first ones that far that we’ve had to come back to test it off the Fairway the first hole here at the old course a glory is spectacular it’s really narrow and to be honest I can’t believe the drives have gone that far but we’re going to have a go from here it’s 250 yards to carry the water there’s a big stone wall up there Brett’s already hit one I think quite close which isn’t helping my Logic for the game later on but what I really like about this is it comes in 13 1 12 degrees but you have that adjustable sleeve I’ve notched it down to 12 1/2 although the tailor made equivalent you can knock down 2° so if you want that kind of power bat you could say then you just go normal driver wouldn’t you is it too big to have the Fairway I would say it looks it looks bigger I’ll put them on screen now side by side I’m not a huge fan of the kind of Chevron as well the Callaway Chevron I don’t think it needs that personally it almost doesn’t look centered to me it definitely will be but for me I think I I prefer the triple diamond look but it doesn’t have that on I think it would look just a little bit sleeker but this isn’t for me this is for the guys well is for me people want to keep it in play my all inclusive bands are getting in the way by the way that’s really annoying let’s not lose three brand new callaways think that really good it’s just leaking to the right is it over the water no that when he’s in the water that was a long way back wasn’t it as well oh man now we’re talking it’s so easy to pick up off the floor that was close oh that’s not very good that’s not very good guys let’s jump inside let’s see just how this driver does perform where it’s supposed to perform off the te at that go on so 270 would be a normal driver for me that’s pitching at 252 very similar to three-wood numbers 155 ball speed 105 head speed and so guys I feel like I’ve really tested this driver to its Nth Degree and the one thing that I’ve really enjoyed about it is the consistency levels that I’ve been seeing I hit loads and loads of straight shots both out in the golf course as you saw but also in here in the studio and the numbers kind of speak for themselves I must admit I am Mega excited to test this against the tailor made mini driver and I have done that that video is coming very soon so make sure you hit that subscribe button if you want to see it but numbers wise for this club I’m pretty impressed with the consistency levels a tiny bit left all speeds up at 160 carrying 255 head speed 17 so not too bad for a three-wood length as well spins a little bit High spin 3,600 that felt really good again decent ball speed around 158 pitching above 250 running up to 270 and if you don’t want to take my word for it annoyingly you can take Chris’s word for it because um yeah that’s all right decent spin look at that and I do feel like for me the more I hit this club so when I tested it against the tailor made mini driver I actually hit it even better than I have been doing in this review as you can see with a couple of the shots here let’s finalize this and see just how good it really is that is exactly what this drive is all about so really interesting numbers there and as you can tell bit off a little bit more than we could chew off the Fairway but I don’t think I’d be gaming this club off the Fairway I certainly feel like I’d be using it you want off the tea I feel like I’ve tried to do that test before as well with the tailor made and I’m just not that good of driver off the deck and you can call it an oversized stre if you want it’s a little bit short shaft of course as well than a driver I don’t feel like that’s what it’s for I feel like it’s for nudging it down off the tea like you saw initially one shot another incredibly tight hole coming up can we hit the Fairway if we do guys stay tuned because and hit that subscribe but we’re going to test it against the tailor made and I think that’s going to be really interesting I know a lot of you guys have been really interested in that as well so I I think that first one’s over you know I you can see it and you see this is my idea of one of the world’s most difficult golf holes into the wind an incredibly tight t-shot and we have to hit realistically a bit of a draw to get around those trees is this where the Paradigm AI smoke mini driver can come in handy because I certainly would not be hitting driver down here now these are obviously limited runers you can imagine so if you want one you’re going to have to be very quick this is certainly a shot where I would feel really comfortable using the tailor maid and looking down at the C way I think it does have a good footprint it almost looks a little bit big the head for a mini driver think the shaft feels shorter although it’s the same that’s just a personal preference here there we go there’s definitely something in this guys stay tuned for the comparison of this and the
