all right we’ll get started we’d like to welcome minwu Lee into the interview room here at the rocket mortgage classic uh minwu I know you said you haven’t had a chance to see the golf course yet but uh your excitement level coming to Detroit Golf Club to compete for the first time in the rocket mortgage classic yes very excited um I got a nice group on Thursday and Friday so i’ uh really excited for that and um the course looks amazing uh coming from the US Open it’s a bit more Greener so it’s uh it’s quite nice and uh hopefully the weather holds out and uh we can play a fun course um coming into the week number 63 in the FedEx Cup standings uh just six weeks left in the FedEx Cup regular season uh what are you most looking to accomplish over these next six weeks um before the start of the playoffs yeah uh obviously to get into the Signature Events I think that was one one thing this year that I kind of missed out on and uh would have really loved to play those events uh yeah I think that’s um one of the bigger bigger goals and uh hopefully I can uh make it into the President’s Cup team too how much would that mean to you uh to compete in the President’s Cup I know it’s a big goal for for a lot of players yeah it’ll be massive I mean it’s something that uh I felt like I I missed out last year you know by a small margin and uh you know really excited this year I’ve been playing a lot better since um not making that team last year or two years ago and uh yeah I’m really really excited for this year I know the American team is uh very strong and uh uh we got to play very well to beat them uh but yeah I’m really excited uh that’s you know team especially a team aspect you know I really love playing uh match play and uh yeah just being with a partner is is cool questions out here from mimu okay we’ll take one right here from Tony and then we have Tony Paul Detroit News welcome to Detroit um you mentioned um the Signature Events and obviously that’s a hot button issue on PJ tour right now I’m just curious what’s your take on that whole setup yeah no I mean I think it’s it’s great that the PJ tour is doing that um you know I haven’t I’m not the one to you know moan about it uh but um I guess you know I like I play I played every major uh which is you know awesome and amazing I played into them and to not like really play most of the Signature Events it was kind of I guess hard to take a little bit but again I mean I know I got to play better and make make the uh cut off line at the end of the year and uh get to play next year so um uh I think it’s I think it’s great um we all try to play you know those big events and uh yeah obviously it’s a new thing and um yeah all of us are trying to get into those events um one of the big stories this week 15-year-old miles Russell is going to be playing in the field just curious how you would handle this stage as a 15-year-old and what what would you what would you tell him yeah I I think when when you’re 15 you don’t really I mean I played I played pro events in Australia when I was 15 16 and yes I was nervous but I didn’t play for money or anything like that so it was just golf um I think it’s maybe a little bit different because it’s you know the social media side so big about it and uh you know he’s gotten a lot of attention over the past few months so uh I mean yeah hopefully he can take it well and um he’s got a good following and I think are you know nice out here to you know support him and um you know only cheer him on again he’s only 15 so uh I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of you know too much expectation um obviously he’s a great golfer and I mean he’s got plenty of time to turn pro and uh still yeah years ahead of him so uh yeah hopefully he has fun and doesn’t beat me but does well got one right here on the right Jared Ramsey with the uh Detroit Free Press I was just curious what the process has been like over the last few weeks since the US Open and preparing for a new tournament here in Detroit yeah uh I didn’t play last week so I was in I was at home my new home I guess in Vegas uh I was just sweating and practicing and uh yeah you know we get we get like a I guess a report before the week um I know it’s a course where you can hit driver a lot and take a lot of corners and kind of um I guess take it be ADV like be Advantage um if you do hit driver well so uh hopefully you know I can do that this week and uh yeah I guess just practice for this week um for the information that we got any other questions we got one more from Tony up here you’re coming from one Donald Ross course to another but that’s probably the only similari is that course beat a lot of people up Pinehurst this one’s a low-scoring affair um is it kind of nice to kind of shift from of course it’s so hard to a course where you know you can make some birdies have some fun and and in a on a course where you can where you have to make a lot of birdies do you like that kind of format knowing that it’s pedal of a metal from the get-go yeah I think I think playing the US Open like once or twice a year kind of feel is uh it’s it’s great you know it’s it was a course where you know you can hit good shot and kind of get penalized which which sucks but I mean that’s part of a US Open it’s it’s brown and it’s like it’s it’s just such a tough course so um I think if we played that every week I would probably have no hair by now so uh I it’s nice to play it’s nice to just come to a course that’s really green and uh and Luscious and uh yeah I mean I I find making birdies fun um Bogies aren’t fun so uh yeah it’s nice all right I think those are all the questions we have M thank you very much for your time and best of luck this week thanks guys
