morning no soccer on yet it is a big day though uh as we are entering some of the final stages of group play here we have Germany Switzerland we have Hungary Scotland but perhaps more importantly cop America the United States will make their debut in this tournament playing Bolivia we also have a late night game between Panama and Uruguay so a lot of action uh for everybody out there who likes to bet Soccer full Major League Baseball board which will actually take care of the early betters within a half hour uh we are basically going to have a game between the Phillies and the Diamondbacks a little bit more uh than a half hour if you want to be precise as well as The Travelers uh with people going low low low shout out cam young yesterday put up a 59 on the board 11 under didn’t have a great start to his tournament though so he’s still well off the lead right now Tom Kim OE Scotty Sheffer Colin morawa a lot of the same names from yesterday still in the mix today Sheffer remains your tournament favorite uh we also have a big time WNBA slate with the biggest game that could possibly be provided that is fever Sky make no mistake about it this is the Marquee matchup right now in this league it’s the game that draws the most eyes whether that’s in attendance or on television Sky fever has been record setting and we have the Indiana Fever checking into this game as a road favorite because the Indiana Fever have started to put win after win on the board and it’s gone a long way and the big change for the fever was no longer playing the tier one teams in this league what felt like in all of their games and for the fever when there was a lot of conversation about the early parts of their schedule and some said you know people want the fever to have an easy game the problem is the fever are the easy game it’s turned out that’s no longer the case they’ve won five out of seven including a pair of wins against the Chicago Sky first meeting 7170 a narrow victory for Indiana Victory number two was a 92 83 w for the fever who now have an opportunity to take their third game off of the Chicago Sky now the reason that this matchup is big is of course Caitlyn Clark as a starting point the biggest star hands down in the WNBA likely the wnba’s history if you’re honest with yourself but everybody needs a rival everybody needs a counterpart the interesting thing is the initial counterpart for Clark was actually Kennedy Carter the of which elevated things when we first saw these teams meet well Clark vers Reese for the first time was exciting it wasn’t the story it is very much so now the story the second meeting saw both play very well Angel Reese has only been getting better you of course had the flagrant foul which led to some very annoying conversation if you’re honest all in all but now you do have a fullon rivalry here now this rivalry takes us to the Rookie of the Year Market where clly Caitlyn Clark Remains the big favorite minus 3000 Angel Reese’s 10 to1 monstrous prices on anyone else you’ll notice Cameron Brink’s name no longer on the board if you by chance miss that news a torn ACL will cost her the remainder of the year and injury is really the only thing I could see costing Caitlyn Clark this award there is a market of Clark versus the field where the field is being offered at the same exact number as Angel Rees and I do believe Reese is the only threat to Clark I believ that coming into this season if I were to believe there was a threat again Clark really should be runaway style here but that’s not to the uh fault of Angel Reese whose numbers are really starting to shine if you put these two side by side Caitlyn Clark right now leads in points leads in assists but it is Angel Reese averaging a double double her rebounding capabilities really translated very nicely here to the W and this double double average would be massive and I’m somebody who by the way preseason did take a piece of Angel ree to average 15 points per game which was booked at plus 600 we didn’t have a straight wager on Angel’s points per game average but at 12.4 she would be through that number and what’s really cost Angel Reese a dominant start and being marked a lot deeper into this race with Clark has been efficiency she started to find that efficiency a little bit in some of her her more recent games but if reys really wanted to take out Caitlin Clark you need to start winning some of the head-to-head games and what could possibly be a determining factor is making the playoffs if you look right now in the wnba’s landscape the Indiana Fever are projected to make the sky are projected to miss we know there are certain teams that are just far too in front of where the fever in Sky are you know most of them obviously off the top of your head Vegas New York Connecticut Minnesota I think they had the storm in the mercury in there as well that’s six teams there’s only eight that can make it so is there enough room potentially for both of these teams it does feel unlikely though you can’t necessarily fully closed the door on it but I think if Angel Reese were to really disrupt the Caitlyn Clark Rookie of the Year this plus 180 would need to cash and this plus 162 would need to cash unless all of a sudden injury entered the conversation you’ll see some of the numbers on Angel Today 13 and a half points 11 and a half rebounds it’s Inc incredibly impressive that the double doubles on Reese are now becoming expectation not just exceeding it Caitlyn Clark’s numbers today of course will be eye-catching for people as well you see your numbers here fever again a road favorite but the rookie I have my eye on in this game is the third overall pick in Camila Cardoza give me over eight and a half boards for Cardoza who was injured in pre-season play ultimately though has got herself back into the lineup now and minutes is key we always look for volume and we look for potential weak spots if we can in that props Market well Camila cardoza’s season long average doesn’t tell the story what does is Cardoza hitting this number in three out of her last four games and the three games where she hit this what do they all have in common 30 plus minutes played in all of them her career high in minutes was the last time the sky went up against the fever playing 35 Cardoza is not a bad look for a double double in this game either which is paying out better than two to one but I trust the rebounds here over eight and a half for Camila Cardoza in this matchup with the Indiana Fever it’s going to be a great game there will be eyes on it throughout but it’s not the only action we have on your W board Liberty they go again a backto back this time on the road this team’s inability to cover at home is incredible because they win every game nearly 8-1 straight up at home one and eight against the number no Ryan Howard for the Atlanta Dream if I’m playing I’m laying don’t love it all in all maybe a liberty team total their offens has certainly found a rhythm we have a run back here of mystic’s wings with a flipping number yesterday Dallas laid two on the road at Washington same location same opponent now it’s Washington laying the two as the mystics rolled Dallas yesterday and handed the wings their 10th consecutive loss as someone who was wrong but like Dallas yesterday I could only go back to the wings here with a four-point move day over day but my favorite game or my favorite pick of the day comes from your other game right here between Seattle and Connecticut an alltime bounceback spot for juw Lloyd her most recent outing one point 0 of nine from the field and her second straight game of going under 18 and a half she has not had three straight games under that Mark con to win National League MVP I I will say this if you don’t have interest in locking up any of your money on a baseball award at this price by the way minus 105 which is still out there on the market and wait until because it takes forever for them to give the awards out wait until October November for not like you know you’re not getting double your money right you’re actually laying in this instance I understand that you could make a CO you could make a a pretty easy argument in fact that it’s just all in all not worth betting the Otani situation because is is the juice worth the squeeze but then you kind of get into a big picture thing of why do we even bet Futures right like why do I have a Texas Rangers win total under I just fade them in the appropriate spot that’s not really how we go about it but again if you wanted to get kind of you know big picture with that that’s fine that’s the only argument though that could be made that shotani is not going to win NL MVP outside of what if he gets injured and here’s one of the biggest justifications for me that sh Otani is the appropriate play at minus 105 once again the most unbiased man in the history of sports media myself in action again show Hae price being shorter than Aaron judges is how I know there’s value on sh’s price it’s very simple sh Otani right now wins above replacement 4.4 the player with the second best odds in Bryce Harper is at a 3 one a monstrous Gap the biggest challenge to Otani from a wins above replacement perspective is mooki at 3.9 who’s well down the board due to the injury right now at 80 to1 in fact if at any point mooki comes back earlier than expected I’ll be interested in bets as the only guy that feels like a danger catel Marte is at a 3.8 I just don’t see it happening and he’s currently 24 to one Aaron judge on the other hand having just a unreal season home run an RBI Leader by a good amount currently doesn’t lead the American League in wins above replacement I roll all you want but Gunner Henderson who is the actual second choice does I’m not telling you gunny’s going to win the award what I’m telling you is the guy who’s booked second in gunar Henderson is a far bigger threat to judge than Harper is to Otani they don’t hand the award out based on record and again the books are still not totally sure that you’re going to see the Phillies finish with a better record than the Dodgers the Dodgers have a better price than the Phillies to have the best record in the sport and to use the Otani judge comparison one more time with respect to the big man he’s far more injury-prone than joh so if Aaron judge this was a DraftKings bet is minus 140 well then Shi has to be at least minus 140 if not more I actually think that if you move sh to minus 200 it wouldn’t be crazy because he’s only getting better and showy has a very real CR very real chance at the Triple Crown he leads he leads Major League Baseball in batting average he leads the national league in home runs and he is third in the National League in RBI trailing Marcelo Zuna currently by seven and Alec bone by four except otani’s batting 500 over the last two weeks so for how much longer are those guys going to be able to hold him off and if Otani wins the Triple Crown down it doesn’t matter who comes back from injury it just doesn’t he’s going to win the award speaking of awards Paul skes is pitching today as always it’s it’s a big day when Paul SK is pitching I do think at time I I know it’s going to sound probably this is going to sound ridiculous but is the Paul SK stuff not being discussed enough at a big level I know he’s the favorite to win and rookie of the year but I hinted at this earlier in the week when we were talking to Dave sharan and the Paulk sa young stuff and I was adamant when I placed the 200 to one wager he’s not actually going to win the award but the number was bad now the back end of that is already proven to be true is that numbers continuously move but I’m being dead serious are you sure Paul skes can’t win NL SAA young because a lot of the stuff that we were T like oh they’re going to be super careful with him he has one start where he didn’t throw at least 93 pitches he only has two starts where he hasn’t gone six Innings a 4-0 record at 2.29 erra and is striking out batters at the best rate basically in the league the Pittsburgh Pirates take the field when he’s out there and they start start getting booked like the Baltimore Orioles so I think that Paul SK at at still at 85 to1 is insane one other big pitching note Max scherzer’s back today boy do the Rangers need him a 36 and 40 World Series defending champ who’s currently seven and a half back of Seattle this team is hoping that sherzer can come back the gr can come back and turn things around it’s possible it starts today against the Kansas City Royals booked as a minus 145 favorite we’re coming up against a break here as always we’ll Tennessee can’t lose this or their year is over I I don’t know the answer I don’t know the answer what I do think is interesting is the updated price to win the College World Series A&M is flipped to the favorite understandably but if you look at the strength in this current Tennessee number and you expect that to be a winner the balls will no matter what be favored in that final game I don’t hate I don’t hate playing Tennessee to actually still win the College World Series my cap on A&M was the pitching they won yesterday’s game more so on the on the offense on the bats I don’t know if that sustains that’s what I got for you in terms of college baseball soccer I got a lot more I like the soccer board today how could you not uh we’ll start Euros quickly Germany Switzerland give me Germany on this triple money line here uh at minus 14 a little bit better number than that minus 150 which is out there on FanDuel so I think you’re seeing a number it’s kind of what we just talked about where circumstan is factoring into the number with Tennessee it’s factoring in with Germany they have six points they’ve won each of their first two games and they’ve already now clinch their spot within the knockout stage however Germany can’t lose the game otherwise they’ll finish second in the group to Switzerland okay so they’re fine if they draw which is true they are fine if they draw but they’re not going to take the pitch and fight for their lives to draw okay maybe they would be a little careless if they were up to but they’re still far better than Switzerland I think you could make a very easy argument Germany’s look like the best side so far in this tournament it’s them or Spain it there’s no other argument that really can be made if you look at Switzerland’s uh fixtures the last time they played a country the quality of Germany you got to go back to the 2022 World Cup where they lost to Portugal 61 I think getting minus 145 here on the Germany triple uh money line here three-way money line uh is absolutely the way to go we have USA making their Copa America debut excited for this year USA is a monster favorite top 15 team in terms of the FIFA world rankings Bolivia’s outside of the top 75 Bolivia had five games within the last year against teams that were top 15 or better lost all five of them and four out of the five they lost by three or more goals so for USA anything other other than a multi-goal win would be a disappointment but minus goal and a half was nearly minus 170 I’m good on that I actually did play a near minus 170 number but I thought it was a little bit safer which is under two and a half corners for Bolivia I mentioned that five game sample size for or Bolivia against top 15 teams only once did they have more than one corner the number is two and a half we have a lot of security here I like under two and a half corners for Bolivia and then we close it out with Panama here uh getting uh one and a half goals against Uruguay it’s a very interesting call it schedule spot Uruguay has played three games since November of 2023 Panama has played more games in June in June than they’ve played in the year 2024 in in Uruguay so this isn’t all or the same amount it’s all rest rust the last Uruguay game was June 5th Panama has played three games since June 6th I think you have an opportunity here for Panama to catch him sleeping sneak an early goal scoreless through the first through the first half I think all of that is absolutely on the board here uh so I’m going to take the goal in a half and at minus 1112 I don’t think that’s bad juice whatsoever the only game I didn’t bring up is Hungary Scotland if I was playing I’d look I lean Scotland I’d look over both teams to score is expensive uh I I do believe that’s know where we would start today I knew at some point we’d bring up cam Young shooting a 59 well cam young has played three holes so far today and has gone birdie birdie birdie yeah I have to imagine this is in contention for the greatest 21 whole stretch of golf in the history of golf quite frankly what in the world is going on boy I I tell you and you know we were talking about it yesterday like gosh does this guy have a chance to win a tournament and I said no no because you know everybody else hasn’t even started yet now he was tied for the lead at the end of his round yesterday but that was before anybody else teed off I mean gosh if he does it again yeah he’s got a chance to win this tournament but I mean I looked at him this morning when he was two under through two holes and he was still 40 to one to win this tournament and no I don’t think he’s going to do it no I don’t think he’s going to shoot 59 two days in a row but he’s going to make himself some cash and uh appears to uh be on in quite the Zone in taking on TPC River Highlands for the last couple days I will say Brady and I know it’s it’s such a hard thing to grasp because first of all at 59 I know I know it’s playing well but nobody else is shooting 59 yeah but to follow that up with birdie birdie birdie is not how that’s supposed to go even the best golfers in the world you come off of a day like that there has to be be some regression now you could very much tell me that that’s going to hit him on the next hole but he’s 202 to one right now to win this tournament he’s two shots back of Tom Kim I know Kim shafley and Sheffer have shots in hand I know Xander and Scotty are arguably one and two in the world and Tom Kim was a guy that smart people like yourself liked coming into this tournament but the cam young number at least the number Brady feels a little worthwhile no well maybe you can get a really good number on finish position and and yeah I I don’t think the number is crazy except him winning this golf tournament would be crazy if he’s going to Leap Frog sheffler and Kim and all these guys yeah and and have this type of perform like you said if he’s going to you know repeat this performance two days in a row that is crazy in itself if he’s going to win the golf tournament that is also crazy in itself so yep yeah the number might not be too bad but boy there there is so many improbabilities for this to happen but you might take a shot at a at a position a finish position you know like maybe a top five I mean he’s already top 10 so you can Pro if he’s 22 to one to win you can probably get a decent price I would think at top five finish yeah plus 40 currently for top five if you’re someone like myself who does enjoy yeah I enjoy the the parlays with the finishing position so a minus 400 top 10 number isn’t something that scares me off if I can find some stuff to work with let me ask you this and it’ll help tell the story on cam young what do you think a at least range would be for our winning score in this tournament yeah I was thinking about it last night I I think 24 under I is where you’re going to have to get and that translates into Tom Kim shooting six under today I think this golf course is obviously playing very easy they’ve had weather you know they’ve had rain they’ve had moisture softening up this course and we saw it even at a major championship like like Valhalla when you have rain and a soft Golf Course these guys can just throw darts at these flags and it it makes putting very easier because they’re much closer to the hole on approach and you know it it just brings the golf course down to its knees Tom Kim you know had an awful t-shot on number one yesterday pars the hole and ends up shooting five under for the second straight day in a row you know and that’s off of a 62 so you know cam young off of a 59 you know it’s just like this course is just not Tough Enough for these guys to play by the normal rules here so I I think it’s 24 Kim needs to shoot six under Sheffer need you know sheffler and uh and batia need to shoot seven under Xander needs to shoot eight under and and if morawa and sun JM are going to want a piece of the pie I think they have to shoot 61 nine under um forgive me um what if we just re the seven minutes we did what if we redo it now that you have this information just birdied again wow God he’s he’s now 11 to one i w just to to add this the the 24 under that Brady mentioned is probably about that range right like 20 if if the winning score was so he’s 17 under now right he’s 17 under only one back of more under which means he’s got to shoot he’s got to shoot 59 again yeah so that’s kind of the where it’s impossible to believe if the winning score is going to be 24 under he has to go backto back 59 which is would that be historic imaginable I mean I don’t know golf history at all and I’m willing to that that’s never happened I me no’s ever done that but I’m so thrown Brady because one of the other things that just looking at his Strokes gained yesterday and kind of where where that all landed while obviously it was an incredible day for him it wasn’t all putting just of round of the of guys who played yesterday or your your round three Strokes gained seventh and putting first T to Green which is always that key number I it’s I don’t mean to over harp on this I was very much going to leave it alone and then he birdied again I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know that’s crazy to me I guess the the other question would be if he’s doing this like this really then should be I know Tom Kim’s been playing great but if it’s this easy like shouldn’t this just end up like a Scotty Xander playoff break yeah yeah it it’s it’s kind of unfortunate that it is playing this easy I mean I don’t I don’t mind a birdie Fest but if Cam young starts flirting with 59 again then that’s that’s a little overboard for my liking um now let’s also keep in mind the back nine has played harder more difficult than the front nine these guys have been getting out going low early on the front nine so you know maybe he makes another bird here maybe he ends up shooting six under on the front side I don’t think he’s going to shoot five under on the back which is a very safe bet I wonder I want to see if I can find and I probably won’t be able to a live round score Brady you have right now 1 two 3 four five six what eight golfers at 12 to1 or shorter but you have the Scotty Xander Tom Kim very tight here between plus 220 and plus 360 how do you feel about the top three guys as it pertains to the odds right now well you know it’s similar to what we spoke about yesterday I still don’t like Xander stats he’s 13th in Strokes gained off the te and 18th in Strokes gained approach 31st in driving accuracy and this was going into the final round obviously he’s played a couple holes here so these things may have changed but I I just don’t like the way he’s spraying it a little bit off the te in accuracy off the te the irons don’t appear to be completely dialed in and again going into this round he was number one in the field in putting and so the stats look a little shaky to me and obviously you’re paying a premium for a guy that’s won this tournament before and one of the very top players in the world now the stats on Scotty are good off to T6 approach fifth Greens in regulation first uh the putting has fallen off a little bit the last couple of days but it’s still to the positive and he still ranks eighth in this field with the flat stick but we’re paying a real premium on price prior to teeing off today he was like plus 150 now he’s getting you know closer to plus 250 maybe it’s not so bad anymore but we’re also starting to see what type of track meat is developing here and Tom Kim I think is clearly in the driver’s seat where he’s already he’s already got that lead and 18 holes left to play Kim has Kim’s stats are very similar to sheffer’s putting ball striking greens and regulation off the tea you name it doing everything very very well and you’re still getting a fair price on him it it’s really like we said yesterday going into yesterday’s round we said the price on Kim batia and morawa is fair I still thought that was true going into today now batia has bogied and you and I were laughing off air he’s now dead you can’t in a birdie Fest like this what we have going on a bogey absolutely kills you um so morawa I still think you’re getting a good price on a guy that’s playing very well and I’ll tell you a price that’s pretty amazing for a guy that’s only two shots off the lead is Sun JM now now he’s had a little bit of trouble too 25th off the te heading into today and 31st in driving accuracy so a little bit shaky off the te but doing everything else very very well fourth on approach fourth in greens and regulation 16th putting but that price is really juicy now I’m seeing 18 to one okay so some movement there on sunjay I will say Brady and I don’t know if I’m overthinking it and I and I haven’t done anything kind of yet in game with this tournament from an outright perspective I agree with every single thing you’ve said about Xander right that the the numbers don’t jump off the page the way you usually want them to but yet he’s still here yeah and we obviously know the caliber of golfer he is and I think one of the differences with Xander is if I go to a playoff I I’ll take my chances him Crossing that Finish Line earlier this season at the PGA Championship for me is such a Difference Maker on how I know I at least few and I’m sure so many others that he right now is you know almost double the number of Scotty is Scotty twice the golfer Xander I don’t know I don’t care maybe but does he have twice the chance of winning this tournament at this moment no we we have 17 holes for each of these guys or so before we would get to 18 and if you told me it was a playoff between Scotty and Xander I don’t think you’re going to see what would the Scotty sheffler number be he’d be favored but yesterday they they had a match bet Brady that was minus 150 Scotty sheffler he’s at minus 200 minus 225 against Xander so I agree with you about the statistics but he’s still here despite all of that and the clock’s ticking I I totally agree with you that Xander is value at twice the price of Scotty just head-to-head between those guys no he should not be twice as much as Scotty sheppler and if there’s anybody that should be doubted a little bit it’s probably Scotty here off of what he did last week now obviously he’s bounced back in a big way but he still doesn’t necessarily quite look like the Scotty we saw prior to the US Open and and I ultimately do not think he’s going to win this golf tournament is he going to finish top five absolutely he might be runner up but I’m with you you know I if you’re kind of just looking at those two guys which truly are the two best guys in the world and certainly here at the top of the leaderboard take the price with Xander and I think he maybe has more confidence than Scotty sheffler right now after that win at the PGA Championship and sheffler off of you know the worst tournament we’ve seen him play in God knows how long at the US Open Xander’s confidence might be better than and Sheffer right now if they were to face each other in a head-to-head playoff and by the way over the last 13 editions of this tournament five of them have been decided by playoff this tournament has has a propensity to go to playoff quite a lot and I mean if you can find a live bet on will there be a playoff you might want to take the yes on that one it it’s always a great theater here at TPC River Highlands I think it was Kramer hickcock and uh and Harris English a few years back went to eight playoff holes before they had a winner decided so some good stuff may be in store this afternoon yeah it’s going to be a blast quickly not a substantial amount but a little bit and it actually had no effect and that is the San Antonio Spurs and the rumors that they would like to trade up to the number one slot in this draft with the Atlanta Hawks this report coming from Mark Stein of the New York Times and we’ve heard San Antonio and and movement before it looks like people are thinking that this movement is for Alex SAR the French big men uh who many do view as the best Prospect in this class who has L kind of key in on going to the Wizards as I’ve said a few times here uh with respect to Washington I do not think Alex SAR is desperate to play for the nation’s capital but more so seems to have no interest in being an Atlanta Hawk which is fascinating maybe it’s tied to Quinn Snyder maybe there’s something else I’m missing you know is is Bal kabali flashing some reach here maybe maybe it’s also possible San Antonio is looking to trade up FZ which is right now the favored outcome of the first overall pick as always if you know but in case you don’t betting NBA draft it doesn’t say who will the Hawks select this first overall so if there’s a trade while it could shift markets you’re going to be getting whomever you play right now SAR does check in at a plus 450 number which I do think would be on the Move undoubtedly if San Antonio completed that trade even if it ended up being rier even if that ended up being the outcome you would think that SAR now seems to be an option where we’re hearing it’s either going to be rier or kingan for the Atlanta Hawks so that would start to shift some of the market but of course or at least to me of course maybe not anybody else if the Spurs and the Hawks get on the phone I quite frankly don’t care where anyone’s Drafting and I want to know if Trey young is being discussed in these conversations Atlanta is expected to have a makeover this off seon DE Jon Murray Could Be Moved Trey young could be moved they both could be moved nobody knows I think it would be stunning if they were both brought back that seems very very unlikely that that would be the end result here for the Atlanta Hawks and if you’re the Spurs and you’re going to deal with Atlanta already wouldn’t you attempt to figure something out with Trey young being involved I think the difficult bit of that is some uncertainty as to how San Antonio is looking to address the point guard position we’ve seen them linked to Stefan castle of Yukon ni topic an overseas Prospect we’ve seen them linked to Darius Garland some loose loose loose links to Chris Paul and some links to Trey young they all wildly different outcomes quite quite frankly but what I know for sure is if San ant anonio ended up with Trey Young and the first pick they won’t be 70 to1 to win the West same price as the Rockets the next closest team moving up the board is the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings at 28 to1 I’m not telling you that San Antonio would jump those teams but they’d be a heck of a lot closer than the current $40 Gap that you see uh between those clubs as always draft season will be delivering and we’ll be delivering here on Sports grd we’ll talk some baseball with Joe Madden
