Bryson Des Shambo is commanding center stage in Music City and once again the golfing world is line dancing to his tune the US Open Champion showed little sign of fatigue on day one cing a four and the P 67 after a good night’s sleep prepare for Bryson to send more of his bombs down Broadway it’s super Saturday at Liv Golf Nashville buing boys [Music] hanging with [Music] the busing with the boys exciting news for the bus live golf is coming in Nashville yes Nashville is the perfect place for live to show out especially after that epic US Open we got food music parties it is the place you want to be one of the things I love about the live thing is the team aspect cuz you know your boys game is not that great I need somebody to pick me up a little bit if we could get picked up by one team who’s the best fit for the boys so you’re thinking draft yes being a first round pick I’m going to take the honors on this one I’m going to go with the US Open champ Bryson and his team The Crushers dude is yoked and he’s got that big man thinking ability you cannot take your eyes off this man I now have my Center in the trenches I know where I’m going right out of the gate I’m going with Brooks free safety makes with a linebacker kind of a hybrid brilliantly done by the skipper he prows the course he can do it all and their team name smash it’s a great fit for the boy my next pick raw dude is a bull he’s built like a brick house and literally looks like a Gard I build my team in the trenches with a team named like Legion 13 they’re ready to destroy my next BTA best team available yeah we we know that I’m going with Captain cam dude has an unfappable mullet their team name Ripper true Aussie grit they play hard they party harder that’s a core value of the boys honestly dude we’d be a fit with the all of these guys you just got dudes everywhere on live studs who want to rip your heart out boys who want to win for their boys and give the fans a show oh he’s it’s our Hong Kong Champion Abe aner who leads the way on seven under par the LI Golf League hit all the right notes on day one in Nashville now for Saturday’s Encore hello everybody watching around the world welcome to the live broadcast studio here in Nashville my self all white alongside David F what a week it’s been for this guy 6 days ago crowned US Open champion in fantastic style for the second time it’s been a whirlwind week he said after his round of 67 yesterday he felt like a bit of a zombie hopefully a decent night’s sleep last night and a nice breakfast for Bryson he’ll be raring to go today but how impressed were you after the week that he’s had that he turned in a performance like that well what can you say about him that hasn’t been said in the last few days he’s been incredibly impressive and I think in particular his concentration he made only one mental mistake yesterday that was on the 11th we know he’s a physical specimen he can handle that but as the concentration you know when you’re in the lead or near the lead you know for this length of time is really difficult the party hall was rockus yesterday that’s the par 3 15th he rolled that put in for a birdie that was cheered wildly uh by the Galleries and Bryson is well placed as you can see in a tie for fourth place John Catlin in as a substitute for the crushes showing well he’s five under tyell Hatton Abe aner excellent rounds of 65 and 64 for them David yeah and you would expect answer and hadn’t to play well Catlin more of an unknown quantity but he’s won twice this year he shot 59 this year but look at these guys underneath we’ve got Smith kka Garcia we’ve actually got 31 players within three shots of fourth place so it’s wide open that’s what we love going into Super Saturday avansa also made birdie at 15 he was YY free in is 64 yesterday it’s another beautiful day it’s hotter today we’ll chat to the rest of the live broadcast team in a few moments time it is super here at the Grove the crowds have been flocking in from very early on this morning another capacity crowd they created such a great atmosphere yesterday look at the lines of people coming in and these tickets sold before Bryson’s heroics at Pinehurst last week and it’s just the Cherry on top of the cake I think that they get to see the main man in world golf at the moment Jerry folz has joined us from Club 54 the live golf pre-round show tell us a little bit Jerry about I mean apart from the cowboy hat fantastic I now I know why they are so popular in the in modern times and the olden times they keep your body temperature so much lower in that I mean it’s hot out there it is really hot all these people showing up prepared for the heat um but it’s hot out there absolutely but they’ve come in their number and they were very respectful yesterday these are connoisseurs of the game of golf aren’t they um I’m I’m not sure I would say that actually I would I’m not sure I would classify them that way I I think there are people who love to have a good time and they’re golf fans yes um if you were talking about the CH sewers of the game of golf you over to the UK and play the historic Championship the this is a this is a blend of avid golf nuts and people new to the game who want to come out and experience a good time and see the greatest stars in the game and then 90% of them our Bryson fans now oh yeah all of them but uh you know and it’s a it’s a crowd that’s not uh accustomed to seeing Big Time golf either you know it’s a this is a relatively new thing in Nashville it’s nice to see there they are it is steaming hot out there hotter than yesterday no doubt about it but I’m sure they will seek out the shade and they will be well refreshed as the day goes on 7 and 1/2 minutes to go until last sh [Music] star The Grove Golf Club here in Nashville Tennessee looks an absolute picture the 12th state that we visited in the Liv golf league and we’re joined by Jerry fultz after his appearance on Club 54 the live golf a pre- round show with Christian Crosby and Rachel Drummond you’ve actually taken the cowboy hat off uh to come indoors Jerry that is a smart move on your part um when we look back at yesterday we talked a lot about Bryson to chumbo and what a fantastic performance he put in who else caught your eye well you got to go with the leader Abraham aner on a course that doesn’t necessarily suit his game this course has a much higher than average reward for distance especially when in the Fairway he’s not one of the longer hitters out here but he is known as now the accuracy Merchant yesterday David he was third in or first in putting obviously of whopping 4.38 Strokes gained above the field and third in Long approach and and historically through the corn fairy event here over a third of the approach shots are played from over 200 yards especially a lot for him so that’s a pretty good deadly combo yeah he’s a really neat and tidy golfer and you know he’s not that long so he’s going to be hitting his second shot in first a lot of the time you know and that puts a little pressure on the guys that he’s playing with yeah John Catlin had a good day substitute of course for Bryson Des shambo’s Crushers who are seeking a third victory of the Season they’re second after day one and there’s anaban where ing speaking of hats the US Open trophy as a hat they 10 on the par they four shots back Sue an is on the practice t with the pride of punee India the team whose hats are flying off the merchandise shelves here in Nashville are The Crushers I’ve got one of them right here with me anaban leiri AKA Curry power uh Bon yesterday The Crushers did an amazing job how impressed are you with your team with all the noise and all the distractions uh that you guys have to deal with this week no I think it was a great performance yesterday you know heads off to John uh it’s a second event with us Houston he did a great job and obviously yesterday he played great so uh I think Captain’s just running hot so even though he’s running on fumes this week he still got the game obviously no I mean we we’re a proud bunch of guys uh definitely missing Charles uh you know he’s he’s the glue that holds the team together but you know it’s a great Vibe obviously we feeding off uh Bryson energy and the momentum he’s built um and yeah we’re looking forward to get back on the podium it’s been a couple of events where we haven’t so that’s the goal this week speaking of Bryson he had a clutch historic performance last week but what was pretty cool about all that is that he mentioned you and the rest of the team in a lot of his press conferences and how you guys were such a support to him how much did that mean to you to hear that uh I mean you know to give you an idea he called me from Piner at I think he was quarter to nine from the locker room I’m like dude don’t call me you have 100 Things to Do you have so many interviews he’s like no no no I need to speak to you so he calls me and he says no no put you a video on and you know he wanted to see me and thank me and I’m like I didn’t hit any of the shots you hit on the back n that was all you uh but yeah I think he’s he’s been on a journey uh over the last couple of years he’s gone through a lot of stuff and uh you know we’ve we’ve just um been fortunate to have the front row seat to the right which is up and down uh but yeah he’s he’s a great dude we’ve gotten to know him he’s like a brother I think the whole team you know Chucky Paul and myself uh being slightly older slightly uh you know in different places in our life then where he is uh we’re able to give him perspective and you know a little bit a little word here a little pull on the year there uh but he’s he’s phenomenal you know he’s a great guy obviously a great player um and I think this is the beginning uh I hope you know I hope he goes on a run and I don’t mean a few weeks I mean years and years cuz he has the ability to thanks B play well today man they are a Band of Brothers The Crushers team there’s no doubt about it our reigning Champions they lead the live golf league in the team competition so far this season and how about Bryson calling his teammates from the locker room after winning the US Open in such Sensational style last week in terms of the pylon on the top of we’ve talked about a aner we’ve mentioned John cing what about trell Hatton how did he impress you yesterday H well I mean he is impressive he plays you know so consistently Jerry you know and um he was calm yesterday he didn’t show any signs of you know his head falling off which we know yeah that was occasional sign but I you’d be disappointed if he didn’t you know he is one of the great players to watch out there because you you always know how he feels yeah statistically this course fits him well and he did well yesterday the one the one uh weakness in his game historically is keeping it in the Fairway Fairways are massive here guys are all hitting more Fairways than they normally do suits him really well it is quite forgiving let’s find out what to watch for on Super Saturday with our onour analyst an hang in a moment Dom Boule first Dom did the scoring yesterday surprise you it did all I thought it’d be better than it actually was you know only 19 players shot under 70 I think the reason is because of these greens these Turtle Back greens if you miss it it’s tough to get up and down under 60% scrambling rate and even when you do hit these greens like the third hole yesterday 45 out of the 54 players hit it and it’s still averag 3.11 so the greens are tough to putt the key around here hit the greens try and hit it in the right sections if you do that you’re going to have a good score today a name we might not be as familiar with but one we shouldn’t Overlook is John Catlin he is a great all-rounded player who thrives in environments like this he’s also a great closer and isn’t afraid every time he’s in that position he’s able to take it all the way through to the Finish Line we should not count him out this week suan and Dom thank you very much get underway in the sunshine here at the Grove Golf Club the beautiful Grove Golf Club here in nville Tennessee the city have turned out in their thousands a capacity crowd once again today look out for the atmosphere at 15 the party hole and when Bryson gets there again the roof will come off this is live golf Nashville this is Super Saturday we will start at the T at two with of course the US Open champion tyon [Music] dambo six birdies yesterday two Bogies had a run of four straight birdies at one stage of his round said the atmosphere of the first te was like a basketball arena yesterday sounds pretty good at the second as well to the T at one John Catlin five underpar yesterday in as a Crusher for the injured Charles Hal II and boy is he taking advantage of this [Music] [Applause] opportunity well over at four Brooks kepa got off to a bad start yesterday the boy in a double early on but got it back to 200 par and Sir clearly in touch well he cranked his second Drive OB right and ends up shooting two under that’s pretty impressive yeah this is the T at one and troll Hatton fresh from a first round six under par 65 T off at three yesterday birded his open in two holes he was three under half four said it was great fun out there the atmosphere he said was brilliant we expect more of the same today and now on on the team from Fireball GC [Applause] abrahamer our leader faultless yesterday seven birdies he was bogey free the man who won earlier this season for the very first time in Hong Kong says he’s simply in a better place mentally these days not putting too much pressure on himself as he did it in his opening 18 months or so on the live golf league and he leads by one [Music] [Applause] so super Saturday is underway in the Tenn Tennessee Sunshine aans elad by one Bryson to Shambo just three back at live golf Nashville here’s Bubba on the fifth T the longest of the par threes here at the Grove and slip down into the collection area here we saw plenty of that last week we’ll see it again today Meo Pereira trying to give the fourth a run for its money today played very very short [Music] yesterday and there’s our first one on the surfice cutting for Eagle let’s take you to the party hall for the very first time it’s going to get loud there today Anthony Kim the first a te [Music] off three over pass 74 for8 okay yesterday he’s the third to te off and meanwhile we will take you to the grade at 15 the party hall Cameron tring with the first birdie pu disappointing round for him yesterday 743 overp par [Applause] saw his teammate Brendan steel take Victory individually in Adelaide earlier this season three 49 49 had like five left kind of got to where it’s somewhat flat right there so it be 44 right there we got a little bit of a back stop back in here9 yeah when was in out of the left is any our left from the middle of from the te and everything from right here it should be a little bit of hurt a little bit of hurt but more from our left okay 49 total yeah 49 is our total you 11 me what 476 yeah I like that non iron for Abe I spoke to someone on his team I said what makes him so consistent and they said you know he’s one of the most consistent human beings off the golf course and he’s exactly the same on the golf course and that’s his superpower I think it’s interesting soan isn’t it because it took him a while to get going in the live golf league AB answer but he says now his mental approach is more to put less pressure on himself over at the fourth Brooks left it just short left of the short Par Four and a good chance there for [Applause] birdie to the second and Dom you’re watching Eugenio Takara of the five bbls who lead by four yeah good t- shot just a few yards behind the big man and yesterday he was the best in the field from short approaches but the worst in the field from mid to Long approaches but what a shot that was that’s unusual for him cuz he is I mean as a good friend used to say a ball strike in Jesse such a dynamic iron player he certainly is Jay now Bryson if he’s tired well the speed was still up on that t- shot although I was watching him on the range and those eyes they look a little glazed but uh this was the second hardest because he’s tired this whole much easier the pin position today whoops what was that good breaks yeah good breaks there that was Tiger Woods es everything feeds in this whole location and you can hit it 10 15 ft left and it will end up around where Jar’s balled up he’s he must be running on fumes but this crowd has given some energy said yesterday D it’s the greatest time of my life he’s finding the energy from somewhere he was feeding off the crowd the crowd were feeding off him it was a symbiotic relationship yesterday and I’m sure that’s set to continue today second at one for ter happen suan just a wedge whole location’s in the middle of the screen in that Hollow there and he was gripping D almost on the metal and that one a very short grip good [Music] shot this is the green at four that uh this is Pera putting for birdie he drove it onto the front edge of the green so his Eagle put ended up here and it might be good that we didn’t show it yeah what was that he just had to have missed that slope and it fed off to the right here’s a man who finished eighth last season in the overall standings but just hasn’t got it going this year at all he’s down in 38th Place and you were saying yesterday Jerry for Tor their hopes largely rest on whether this putter can improve for him oh yeah their team is suited really well suited for this course except for the putting 12th out of 13 like you said most of it uh comes from his really substandard pting so far this season whilst we wait for aoun at the first we’ll take you to the eighth and a second shot for Phil third shot for Phil it is his second shot and it’s very nice a green at four and Brook kka for birdie from here he looks like he should go this aner has no choice but to putt this it’s uh there’s a lot of Fringe here difficult to get the pace right he’s done quite [Applause] well a moment ago Paul Casey of the kushers this for an early birdie yes Paul’s rounding into some very good form in the live golf league tied ninth in Houston although disappointed with his final round 73 he tied the lead after the first two rounds crushes now three back of the fbls now here’s Catlin for Birdie on the first I watched him warm up earlier and uh he seems very very comfortable out here here for someone who’s only playing in his second live event aggressive try there it’s like flat the first 5 ft but I just feel like right here a little downwind too flag in or okay flag in good move I don’t see and what’s the live line say 10 12 ft yeah that just we’re just getting a wonderful drone I think fly around of this green that’s a lot of Contour there Dom we haven’t seen the Liv line yet here we go oh yeah he’s uh he’s aiming I’m going to step that off at four or five steps left of the hole Yeah it’s right around well 12 to 15 ft almost yeah he was aiming for that collection area just pulled it slightly and he missed it but a two- part oh he is is up and out of his stance quicker than pretty much any player out there with the putter he missed his line there his start line and it doesn’t always mean he’s he’s hit a bad putt it’s just just what he does whilst that was happening Terell haton for birdie at one the short fourth Carlos Ortiz right in the middle for birdie was feeling a little under the weather yesterday Carlos Ortiz still managed a three under par 68 and he’s now got it to four under our winner last time out of course in Houston bit of a tester left here for John on the first sure there is some adrenaline running through his veins they should move not too much [Applause] yeah oh Jerry you told me he finished his round yesterday with 111 puts in a row 11 in a row he’s got a good chance to make it 12 he been using this long poter since senior year in college let’s get you caught up with action Elsewhere on Super Saturday Adrien who will represent Poland at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in a few weeks time 73 yesterday two over par that was his second of 14 so he starts the day with a birdie Hudson Swafford one of the two wild cards with Anthony Kim in our field that was for birdie at 13 terrific start to Saturday’s round for Hudson back to Bryson then for par at two said overnight I’m in full court press to do it again and he started well this week Liv Golf and Stinger GC collaborated with Nashville based organizations to bring young people out to the Grove to experience the game for the very first time Louie usen and teammates Dean burm Brandon Grace and Charles Schwarz spent time on both the practice tea and the putting green where they showed the youngsters what it’s like to play with the pros afterwards a representative from the Tennessee Native Plant Society educated the group on the local flora and FAA black lemonade backfield emotion and Big Brothers Big Sisters Middle Tennessee are organizations focused on providing programs and support for those from disadvantaged backgrounds live golf through its potential Unleashed initiative and sting GC are committed to making a positive impact in communities around the world and are proud to support this special organization and young people in Nashville Richard Bland of the clicks who were the 10th team in the Liv golf league to win a team title last time out in Houston they were magnificent on Sunday and glandy pretty good to start Saturday and he is two and the par at the highest point of the golf course here on the T 2 John Catlin first to go so here’s a guy that got his Asian tour card through Q School in 2015 went to the University of New Mexico lost his card multiple times he switched to the Asian development tour got his card back on the Asian tour he won three times in 2018 qualified him for the DP World Tour where he’s won three times the Andalusian Masters and the Irish open two of those so he’s he’s got a winning habit but he’s only ever played one professional tournament in the United States that was the 2021 PGA Championship he missed the cut who won that year oh it was Phil at the age of 50 k island rys of three yeah it’s 200 yard that’s stock aine but downwind it’s be more than wind terona too now this is the second hardest hole not surprised this is originally a members par five so the green is a tough one to hit so hitting the Fairway here is going to be very helpful but this is headed towards the bunkers a well judged AE last one to go second tap is tight 20th in Fairways hit yesterday but he is first for the season very accurate with the driver not the longest and he knows that he admitted that in his press conference yesterday [Music] this is just creeping right towards the rough well Bryson Des Shambo has started his day with a par he stays three back of this man Abraham aner the Fireballs lead the team comp by three [Music] let see if he can improve on his mid to long line approaches from yesterday did so on the opening hole that’s not bad right over the flag stick and well over the green Marty kimer at the short Par Four fourth with his second [Music] shot oh took a hard first buns and no check oh that is that is not a great shot AK over at 16 has this for birdie wow little disbelief there that he got that read wrong the 10 H and Harold Varner II please hang in there go go another Big Bun these greens are firming up level past 71 for hv3 yesterday but boy the four races two overpar as a team in last place it isn’t going their way at the moment our inaugural champions in 2022 this is the fifth hole and Carlos Ortiz who started with a birdie this is his second shot he’s just going to slip Sand Wedge in underneath this try and flip it up there one bounce in a check both he and a aner will represent Mexico in Paris at the [Applause] Olympics not sure he got quite the contact that he wanted there back out to the difficult second and like David mentioned earlier a answerer is likely in most groups out here with the amount of talent and power he hits a lot of his second shots first um but it doesn’t bother him to an no and that lies pretty good that ball sitting up nicely I’m just standing alongside our CEO and commissioner Greg Norman who’s out for just a nice little casual of stroll Now Greg let’s talk about John um what a phenomenal story second live golf event and he’s in the league group TI 24th in Houston what are your thoughts well for the thoughts just tells you the quality and the depth of players we have out there in our choice it’s a pathway system that we”re all proud of ourselves of to give these guys the opportunity coming in here to feel it I spoke to John on the first te and he thinks it’s just awesome right and calling an event awesome and coming here and Performing well under the gun like he has done on a team of that magnitude too I think it’s I love seeing this that really is the story ex well you designed this beautiful Golf Course uh were you surprised at the scores yesterday no not really I actually thought uh 700 was a pretty impressive score to be honest with you I thought it’s a second Shot Golf Course if the greens are firm and fast you got to know where you’re going to put it um and you’re actually going to make mistakes I saw a few guys with all the big runoff areas which I personally love if you miss the shot the ball when the ball gets taken away further from the whole location the harder the come the second or third shot will be or even the fourth shot sometimes so I love it I think the golf course stood up to it a little bit and I’m looking forward to see what they do today oh we do too thanks Greg jakara at three yeah wrong club for jakar off the tea and this is not simple a lot of Fringe to carry and he has to carry it onto the green that’s that same length he just had at the previous hole too back to two and ter happens toan in fact it’s cat first it’s it’s a really interesting point that Greg makes because John Catlin here could earn some serious points toan and if he manages and gets another opportunity later in the season and finishes in the top 24 he’s guaranteed a spot next year and he’s also got the backup of perhaps winning The International series as well absolutely a lot on the line for this guy but what a great story uh he’s worked really hard and had some great success this year got to this point you know I don’t think he’s here for no reason like Greg said the depth of field that we have is uh is great and for him to step up to this plate with a team like The Crushers it’s so impressive now Hatton ball below his feet whole location today just in that right section behind those bunkers he’s going right at it got to go though yeah two wonderful shots there from Catlin and Hatton not the easiest hole on the course either that’s really impressive well elsewhere Louie uses and he missed Houston with a lower back injuries back to full form now Stingers coming off a couple of very poor finishes by their standard they’re down to six in the standings that was his second at 16 he would make birdie Jason craen team smash they underperformed in round one again it’s been their Achilles heel all year they were 10th overnight but that was for his birdie at nine Muno good birdie opportunity although he’s aiming a good foot and a half 2 feet outside started right on the line never got it on the starting line but uh smash under the captaincy of Brooks capka tend to come good Saturday and Sunday they won early in the season in Las Vegas they pushed the cleaks all the way in Houston to finish tied second last time out Sam horville back to level par today four under par back to chakara at three well he realizes the importance of his part early in this second round taking a lot of time bringing his caddy in to read the part it’s a simple part it’s just you know it’s 8 10 ft but it’s uphill right to left you can be aggressive with it you know it’s interesting D you mentioned so much about the uh the green and how they just the okay I think it’s safe now D anyway uh the only place Bryson was substandard and really substandard yesterday was around the greens yeah they they’re just difficult Jerry I mean look at the scrambling stats yesterday the whole field was struggling that’s two puts he’s missed just slow just lack of pace that’ll be a drop shot for the five balls as well now live Golf Plus is the best golf app in the on the putting green has his ruler out with him so he knows the speed of these and now he was up in a out early on that one so poor start for Bryson and a big breaking putt here for ab aner look with this some 25 30 ft of Swing D into the collection area and quick he is a little work to do also and now live yeah Abe’s going to go ahead and go first for his par that was a tricky spot he was in front of that green break some 25 30 ft left uh right pardon me started that so far left and it so wasn’t quite enough tough to judge that speed he is one of the best parters on our league oh some of other things or things that other guys have never even thought of have one famous TV personality friend who told me he combines that with a Magnetic Personality a Hollywood smile and just an overall presence of an Entertainer he does remind me of somebody of that you’ll be reminded from of my vintage if you’ll remember the great Arnold Palmer who helped grow the game game probably more than anybody in history at the beginning of the TV era Bryson Des Shambo does that at a time when a lot of people regardless of which side of the of the aisle you stand I guess you say he does it uh they’re all saying he’s the right guy at the right time right now to unite us as as fans more than anything and the professional game and and David I know you knew Arnold well and and they’re different different people but it seems as though Bryson just might be the one guy to save the game yeah I mean I think so I mean he’s given so much of himself and allowed us into his world in a way that Arnold did too you know Arnold was so phenomenal with people and uh you know signed every autograph you know never refused to photograph no matter how long it took and Bryson you’re right is just he’s picked up that that particular trade and you know the narrative the coverage from our former colleagues at NBC last week was the most balanced and fair of anything since live golf came into Advent they did a tremendous job of presenting the tournament as a championship as and the players as stars regardless of where they apply their daily Wares I think that I think Bryson has a lot to do with that and the overall changing narrative amongst the somewhat split fan base out there yeah and there there have been some people over on that side that have been incredibly negative you know and and it seemed to turn them around yeah we’ve had a few fans on our side you could say the same about and and it’s all unfair in the big picture because ultimately these are just great players they’re great stars of the game and the fans deserve to be able to root for whoever they want regardless of where they ultimately you couldn’t couldn’t not show Bryson at Pinehurst he was playing so well he was going for his second US Open title but it appears that he has been embraced as a live golfer by The Wider golfing public and appears to be transcending any divides that there may be right now the observations so far on Super Saturday well a name that I said we should not Overlook is John Catlin and maybe some people are not familiar with his name but judging by the way he’s played in the front nine he is certainly proving to be why he should not be overlooked now when he shot 59 in maau at the international series and then went on to winning the playoff against David pu that was his third win in a playoff a player who shoots 59 and wins in a playoff is a player with a strong mental game I think he’s going to be in the hunt uh going into Sunday Bryson came up to me on the ninth Fairway and he said I’m absolutely exhausted but he said I just need to get through the next 24 hours he told me he’s lost 7 lb already since Sunday his caddy Greg said he’s gained 10B but if he can just muster some more energy get get the crowd behind him this back nine you know there’s two par fivs he can reach uh there’s couple of really short par fours if he can shoot three four under he will be in contention tomorrow leader Terell Hatton then second at number two for Legion 13 and that is one of the most difficult holes on the course and he made it look very very easy and soan you just you just referenced the uh the mental game the strength the the guts of John Catlin describe Terrell hatton’s mental game to us well I mean he has a different way of processing uh bad shots but uh you know what he’s hit some great quality shots today I mean his worst finish on the league so far as a tight 21st in Hong Kong that proves how consistent he is as a player I know how much he wants to win out here he’s hit three not so good drives that I might have put him in bad positions but he’s able to bounce back from them which really proves uh how solid he is mentally you know suan um just watching Terell Hatton and his body language um my seismologist friends telling me that an eruption of Mount Hatton is is fairly emminent um do you have that sense you know that the frustration is getting to him uh no I mean not uh not to the top scale that we’ve perhaps uh seen him uh you know he he is trying to stay as calm as possible you can certainly sense some frustration when he’s hitting great shots and not quite converting them uh but I think he’s so far in control of his emotions he’s got a back nine to play and it’s going to start opening up on the back nine a lot more birdie opportunities on the back well box office D Shambo they must watch TV he might be running us on fumes but his game doesn’t seem to know yet that his t- shot on four with driver yeah what a shot this was not going to be able to do any better than that it’s just nearly impossible phenomenal shot and on the first par five on the golf course the seventh second shot was just a middle iron here manages to hold the green very few have managed to do that then on to the eighth this for [Music] birdie and Dom you talked about having talked to him and how tired he is you talk to jibbo and he says pretty much the same thing we all keep expecting Bryson to maybe come down from this high a little bit but why do you think he’s able to keep feeding in such a posit POS way out there well you like he’s the people’s Champion Jerry right he’s just enjoying it he’s embracing all the crowd the encouragement from the crowd and that he’s feeding he’s getting his energy from that but I agree with you you know he he told me that Phil melson after a major and Tiger Woods they’re in bed for two or three days he hasn’t had that opportunity he says after tomorrow evening he will just spend 2 three days in bed and he’s going to eat a lot and drink a lot too I would imagine now you know Arlo And I at the top of the show wondered that if the the lead group there got off to a slow start which is what has happened you know this this field would kind of pile up behind them uh those three guys that you’ve got have they got any sense you think of uh you know it’s it’s a real opportunity here yeah absolutely like I was just saying David this back nine presents a lot of great opportunities you know the 11th the par five the 18th the par five 14 and 16 a really short par was 15 the party hole I behind Legion 13 should it drop he’s one of currently 31 individual players within four shots of the lead it is going to be a shootout tomorrow well the great Phil Michelson is playing very well today joined Jerry and suan for the latest edition of the Fairway to Heaven podcast Phil was interesting as always and gave his thoughts on the Future Vision for his High Flyers what’s the future like for the High Flyers I I I don’t know this but I believe in discussions that we’ve had and in our planning and so forth that each team will ultimately have like a home base a home golf course you haven’t been wrong yet and it’s going to take some time it’s going to take some time but we’re already looking into this you know so so I want to have a world class training facility but I also want physical training and physical therapy so I want everybody to have access to it and then the High Flyers as a team what we want to do is create an opportunity for a lot of young players that don’t have access to that but are very good players that don’t quite make it because they don’t have the the infrastructure to to succeed like when they say it takes a team like it really takes a lot of people to help you like I needed I didn’t start winning mes till I started working with Dave PS and we started pra I started practicing different right and it was little things like when a shot one shot often determines a major right we saw at the US Open we saw it in my career my first major at the Masters one shot so it’s like where do you over the course of 4 days like how do you pick up a tenth of a shot right well one example is if you have if you chip it to 4 feet you make 90% of your four-f Footers but if you chip it to 3 feet you make 100% so over the course of 4 days I need to chip every basic chip inside 3 feet and not 4 feet that one foot is a fraction and it makes the difference so as a team I want to provide that and I I think every team wants to provide that and then you have to say well what do you get out of it well hopefully they’ll want to be a high flyer and they’ll become great and they’ll transition onto our team and and maybe we have the first opportunity to sign them national golf program so to speak to help and train and introduce and uh and I think that is going to be the foundation for the amount you know each team which will either be regionally based or something like that to have their own facilities it’s intriguing exciting and and uh very very promising for the growth of the game and elevating the status of golf worldwide Sam horfield uncharted right ho location here it’s really interesting hearing Phil talk about all that stuff you know heading towards being a bit more like a Premier League team yeah a reasonable chance here for t to break it’s still there it’s fairly static it’s behind them where all the action is occurring at the moment two hat and one under today that was his second shot into the second hole his solitary birdie of the day he’s bogey free though crucially John Catlin he is a reserve he’s in for Charles Hal thei third for The Crushers and he is delivering he’s two under par today that was his third at 11 and last but certainly not least Sam horfield of the Majestics a wonderful second shot into 14 he’s three and AAR today and he is seven under as well and he’s helped the Majestics into second place in a tie a three-way tie to behind Legion 1 and Dicky B is only two back the legend grows lot of players reaching 18 with iron Dicky B with Fairway Wood who’s on that stage on the left hand side tonight Jerry that would be Dan and Shay thus the Western Wear from many people in the crowd including yours truly can imagine a few thousand will stay for that oh I think everybody will Catlin at 12 got a little unlucky with that bounce with a second shot hit seven iron just trickled down greens are starting to firm up fairly straightforward pit chair let’s got the ball back in his stance open up the club a at this for a comprehensive chat earlier this week and here’s a look at his thoughts on a turning point at the US Open was there a pivotal moment you know in that last run for you there was number eight number eight yeah getting up and down hitting it right off the te getting into trouble unlike me all week unlike me and hitting it up and around the trees through the trees down the back left hand side of the green having an impossible up and down was what everybody said was an impossible up and down and having a lie that I was like wow I can get this up in the air landed on the slope and let it trickle down and I didn’t done it in Fridays round I got up and down I’m like you can do it again come on let’s do it Jibo said I’ve had I’ve seen you get up and down from way harder places Adine this is the one he hit on the 16th of the PJ Championship the one he hit on the 17th last week at pineur and he hit those brilliantly he loves this club yeah just perfect normal one of those 218 through was a little energetic so Bryson to finish at one I don’t know how he’s doing it he is calling on all of his reserves of energy and resolve riding the wave of euphoria after his victory at Pinehurst number two in the US Open championship and he adds a five under par 66 to his opening round of 67 and he is nine under par at the moment he Trails call with a second here just a three iron [Music] what you feel for Abraham answer lowest score yesterday first round leader he has the highest score on the course today yeah you can certainly feel the disappointment now Hatton now Hatton yeah he uh lies really good actually ball setting up slightly be a heck of a shot to find the Green in his position bunker on the right [Music] doesn’t look too bad at all good distance go on Chase oh that’s a wonderful very [Applause] good what a shot by Terell hatson Dom will send it down to you Bryson you said to me on the ninth Fairway you are exhausted how are you doing what are you what you are doing here I don’t know man I’m I’m just feeding off the crowd they’re just super supportive and I can’t thank them enough I love the golf course my golf swing’s in a solid place I’m hitting good shots um there’s just been a few laps of judgment moments out there which you it’s going to happen but I got to be more focused and ready for tomorrow I feel pretty good other than that just want to get some rest the fans have been electric out here hasn’t it and you mentioned they really are your energy booster out here yeah absolutely they they’re what spur spurring me on to this uh uh you know hopefully hopefully win tomorrow I got to do some work T’s playing some incredible golf so um um I got to go full full pedal of the metal and be firing at flags and executing great shots and making a lot of pots oh great playing I don’t know how you’re doing it but good luck tomorrow I’ll probably go to sleep now for 12 hours let’s take a look at some Bryson highlights then he teed off at two he made a couple of Bogies at the PA threes early in his round but recovered wonderfully well that was for B at number eight and he kept things moving with birdie at 13 and it’s just the Roar of the crowd and the fist bumps and the high fives that are keeping him going after such a Monumental week in his life in his career that was birdie at 14 this is his second shot at 16 the P four another birdie there so a 66 five under par to add to his 67 yesterday at the moment he’s three back but Terell Hatton could bust this thing wide open with an eagle at 18 currently leading by three 434 454 233 344 cam Smith at the party hole his penultimate hole of the day this for birdie [Music] now a couple of Bunker shots upcoming here at 18 before Terell haton have some 35 ft maybe for Eagle I don’t mind going but I was just saying I don’t want it to like whoever is in front there may just play first you never know the worst [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] just a little shy there that putt will likely be to get Catlin into that Premier pairing tomorrow of course putting off that nap for a little longer I’m surprised he remembers how to spell his name at this point I love watching got at John R made his part well played what a performance from this young man John Catlin he’s in as a replacement for the injured Charles Hal II and it’s consecutive 66s for the man from SA Sacramento California playing only his second professional tournament on us soil he’s earned his corn on the Asian tour and at the DP World Tour and he ends on 10 under today within two of trell H at the moment but TRL has a birdie chance now a aner [Music] and he ends with a birdie so this to reclaim and to sleep on a thre shot lead for tyl H [Music] yes ladies gentlemen 6564 for Terell H he’s 13 on the par and he leads by three going into Championship Sunday he bded six of his final seven hesn and after that he has a three shot lead going into tomorrow’s final round winding down at the party hole this is Lou usas the last attempt for an ace today Louis usas Stinger GC captain [Music] have to wait until tomorrow for that guarantee that Jerry gave us so hand down to you terl fantastic round today you birdied six if you last seven holes that’s quite a finish but before that you made nine straight pars how difficult is it mentally to stay in the game when you hit great shots and not make any putts uh yeah it was I mean it was pretty frustrating for the first 11 holes that being said um te be te to Green I was a bit scruffy um so really in in the first 11 holes I only had a a hand a couple of chances but um played a bit better on the back nine um it was nice to see the the ball go in the hole as well and um yeah happy with that finish you were pretty open about how disappointed you were with your final round at the US Open are there any lessons you’ll be drawing from that and applying it into tomorrow for a better result uh not really I mean Sunday of US Open I went out there and and tried my best and that’s that’s that’s all I can do um and that’s what I’m going to go out and do do tomorrow um and hopefully a fair a lot better than how he did last Sunday finally the crowds out here are going to be amazing are you a kind of player that draws from that or is that going to be a distraction no I mean at the end of the day we want to we want to have crowds out here and have a have an atmosphere to play in so um that’s been a fun couple of days and looking forward to tomorrow I’ll play today get some rest thank you we’ll do what a fantastic performance today by Terell Hatton in fact over two days and he is 13 under par 64 to out to his 65 yesterday he leads John Catlin by uh three shots so those two will be in the final group and we await confirmation as to the third member of that group John RAM and Bryson Des Shambo are both nine underpart I don’t know how Bryson is doing it but he is thrilling everybody out there Kier and Vincent was excellent today as Legion 13 lead the team competition by three shots Phil just fell away towards the end of his second round here in Nashville not Brooks kep’s day either Dustin Johnson Level par today on his 40th passs he was static on seven under for a long time and then all of a sudden five that was his second at 13 for birdie this is his birdie put at 14 in the end he bird six of his last seven holes to seize control of livol Nashville he has a thre shot Le going into the final day that was for birdie at 16 and he had himself an excellent opportunity to put Eagle at 18 but had to make do with a birdie 65 and 64 for Turell he’s uh signing his card and will tomorrow Championship Sunday beat Terell hatton’s day there he [Music] is well all the eyes of the golfing world really are on Bryson Des Shambo but amidst all of that with a sellout crowd here in Nashville what a performance by Turell Hatton yeah I mean it really was pretty special he showed us what he’s made of today you know those first n holes he had a lot of good shots couldn’t make a pot but Mount St Hatton failed failed to explode you know he kept a lid on it and and just played so well on on the inward half well statistically he’s so strong across the board the one thing that this course gives him that other courses perhaps don’t are wide Fairways when he keeps it in the Fairway he’s going to have a shot to win just about every week unless his head is completely off uh and he he really proved it nicely today well he has to be favorite going into Championship Sunday but you just don’t know in the Golf League with all the pirate Technics that happen all across the course and John Catlin who’s come in as a substitute has backed up yesterday’s 66 with likewise today and he’s 10 under power what a performance by him yeah he he looks like a genuine worldclass player he really does you know he made all the putts that mattered you know in five six and seven eight feet that kind of thing he really looked impressive yeah and he’s going to be playing with Hatton again tomorrow but in that mix is either going to be dambo or ROM that’s pretty heav company right there yeah dambo is basically if you can think of this crowd as a marsh pit you know he’s basically crowd surfing on his back at this point well his crushes are also in contention it’s Legion 13 who lead the way on 28 under Park here and Vincent was excellent for them today all four scores of course count on Championship Sunday so this could all change very quickly the crushes are three backs both of those teams are seeking their third victories of the season it’s the crushes who lead the season season long race what about the Majestics looking for a first Podium finish since Boston in 2022 they are in third on 19 under par but this is how it stands individually terl Hatton will take a three- shot lead into Championship Sunday John Catlin a magnificent performance he is 10 under par after another 66 today Rah and dambo though it’s been out all day Christian we had a soldout crowd today Dom we talked a lot about the crowd yesterday I think they exceeded our expectations in round two in day two what did you notice out there first and foremost about this crowd here in Nashville the atmosphere was absolutely electric and I was with Bryson and I just interviewed him and he said it was the the reason he’s got the energy he’s got because he is exhausted is because of this crowd it was loud out there it was just terrific Vibe and that party hole that almost match Adelaide when I was out there it was incredible great moment when uh Bryson was on the te Greg Norman was standing there attending the flag and uh it was a terrific moment uh unbeliev the sun is also out pretty hot today and I know it’s a little hotter today than it was yesterday did that have any effect on your day did it have any effect on the guys you watched uh it’s a little bit hotter um but there is a breeze out there and that’s a nice cooling breeze and every now and then the sun gets behind the clouds and it actually cools off and it’s quite Pleasant out there when when that happens but uh it’s something the players have to be wary of because uh they got to keep the liquids in uh otherwise you could get in trouble out there well let’s take a look at the individual leaderboard Dom give us some of of your thoughts as we pull this leaderboard up for the fans when you look at this leaderboard interesting names here John Catlin still doing his thing had a wonderful day finishing 10 under just three back from Terell Hatton who clearly uh towards the end of the day seemed like he just caught fire yeah well he it looked like he birdied six or seven of the last uh eight hes from what I was hearing on the broadcast but uh look he’s a worldclass player he got up to fifth in the world at one stage in his career he’s still 22nd and he he hardly plays any tournaments that count till hat a world class player John Catlin we said to him yesterday and I said I’ve been saying all along this guy knows once he starts a tournament well he seems to always continue to play well and he’s a closer and John Ram John Ram’s due a tournament right he’s he’s going to win one eventually and it could be tomorrow also saw a name up there we haven’t talked about a lot but hb3 had an incredible day today um looking to really make a statement this weekend yeah he needs to he’s not had a good season has he and uh I was watching him on the Range and talking to his caddy Chris Rice and he was swinging as well as I’ve seen him swing it in a while and uh he his start line today on the driving range was exactly where he was aiming the ball so I’m not surprised that uh hv3 got it done today let’s take a look at what the teams did today let’s pull up the team leaderboard Legion 13 at the top of that bad boy uh Dom when you look at this team leaderboard this is something we said we expected we talked about The Crushers we talked about Legion 13 but the Majestics I see there third place finishing 19 under after day two Dom talk about that it’s been what since Boston I think it was our third or fourth event in 20122 since they’ve podiumed and it’s it’s due look they’ve got three worldclass players okay they’re getting a little bit up in year but uh in their years but Sam horfield is you know he’s a stud he he won on the European tour early in his career he had an injury had a bad hip injury and took him out uh what three or four months last year but it seems like he’s fully healthier again and he’s a terrific goer now I know you follow Bryson D Shambo around all day today we’re going to talk about that a little bit later but since we’re on the topic of Legion 13 let’s pull up some highlights Don just from your expertise tell us how good are these guys Legion 13 with the killer day they’re the best in the world here’s Kieran he is a good player this guy just won a tournament in South Africa uh just about a month ago he’s a bomber he’s only been a pro two years June of 2022 he took Pro T Hatton I could hear he wasn’t really making any puts early in his round but it then leading his round he started making some and he’s one of the best Potters in the game third in our league behind cam there we go there John Ram yeah he’s going to get it going obviously there’s no foot injury anymore he’s not feeling anything this is the 18th hole one of the probably the easiest hole in the golf course today everybody could reach but there is danger there on the left side couple of guys hit it in the water but where did that end up at that look pretty good now we’re talking about a team that has won twice this year already Maya Koba Miami but I think sometimes people are forgetting this is one of the most brand new teams in live league but they’re playing like they’ve been here a long time they were formed in Maya Coba I mean Caleb Surat only joined the team I think on the Tuesday of Maya Coba right straight out of college and they won their first event uh but worldclass players certainly in Hatton and RAM proving it on the leaderboard today but what kir Vincent shot five under Caleb shat shot three under today they they’re ready Caleb surat’s not quite the finished article yet but it’s just a matter of time as a legend you are Dom um yes I’m glazing you a little bit but as a legend you are Dom with your expertise why is this course uh complimenting this team so well specifically I mean because this is a second Shot Golf Course meeting that you know the fairways are quite generous most people are going to find the fairways so you’re going to be hitting out the Short Grass but it’s the greens the way they’ve been Ted and shaped there little sections here and they’re quite undulating so if you find if you’re not accurate and really precise with your distance control you’re going to end up with in places where you’re not going to make birdie putts so you’ve got to be really precise and accurate with your irons till Hatton one of the best iron players in the world John Ram just one of the best players in the world that’s why they’re performing well talked to Greg Norman out in the course and I said I’m surprised scores aren’t better than they are he goes it’s a second shot go of course do so I want to ask you about Kieran Vincent he’s fighting for a spot trying to get in that lock Zone which is important you know how that feels right what is that like what’s going through someone’s mind how do you keep cool and how do you maintain your game when you finally catch that flame there’s a lot of pressure on these youngsters who are fighting for their survival they all have tasted live golf they all want to stay in this league and as the the season flies by and it is flying by this is our ninth event there’s only five individual tournaments left the pressure is going to keep heaping up and heaping up and piling on and piling on they just I don’t know you just got to button down and do what you can and just try on every single shot don’t not don’t just give up whatsoever just keep grinding and grinding it might just take one shot out of the entire season we’ve seen that before in other tours one shot has cost a guy a card wow it definitely seems like he is in that position right now and super focused too yeah oh yeah he is now Dom you uh followed a really fun group around it uh included a guy that goes by the name of box office Bryson dambo it almost seemed like the entire crowd that was here was just following your group at one point uh which had to be a lot of fun Dom tell me about your day today with Bryson you know Bryson’s a cool guy he uh he came up to me on the 9th Fairway he walked up to me he gave me a fist bump and he said I’m exhausted and he said but I’ve just got 24 hours left that’s all I need to do muster up enough energy for the next 24 hours he really wants to win this just to back up what he did last week it’s I heard you talking on the main show about how he’s probably run out of gas and he’s still just performing this good with not much in his tank left he’s he’s he’s crediting the crowd for giving him the energy it’s almost like they’re all propping him up and just passing him down the Fairway but he said told me he’s lost s lbs he’s still going to the gym but he is exhausted he says he’s going to after this he’s going to stay in bed for 2 3 days and eat a lot as he should you painted a beautiful picture for us Don but let’s pull up some real highlights from Bryson Des Shambo today and talk us through it D this is Bryson Des Shambo round two yeah surpris surprisingly he hasn’t lost really any speed you think when he’s tired he’s going to lose some speed just the fourth hole no this is the birdie at eight that was the birdie at eight yeah that was a nice uh look the second shot he hit into there and yeah it was electric all the way through and then he got on a little run here on the 13th the path hit a 9 that was a great C look at that and the crowd once again goes wild how was it just energy and being around him all day long it’s fun it’s it’s it’s kind of like being around Cam and Adel you know the same sort of energy it just uh it it it’s really it’s actually just really cool I I would love to hear you talk about that moment I was watching when he uh made his way to the party hole I thought it would be similar to yesterday but it it it wasn’t it was even greater of her moment it seemed yeah as soon as he stepped foot at that party hole Yeah it was and they were waiting for him to come over the bridge and then turn the corner and then he was announced and the place erupted we got a couple more highlights here I think that was the last one yeah he he drove he almost drove the middle of the green on 16 he had three looks at Eagle today putts good putts he didn’t make one but he had some good putts his game’s right there now a note I want to bring up about Bryson Shambo he he he’s been doing this he’s been on social media he’s been interacting with fans uh but it seems like after the US Open a lot of people are now catching on more than ever but what’s most impressive is that it seems like that energy from the fans is making him a better golfer would you agree with that I think so how can you not be you know I wish I’d played in front of fans that adored me like this you because I think you want to do it for them right even if you’re struggling you you want to keep for the fans cuz they’ve paid good money they’re spending a lot of energy out here to follow you you want to do it for them and I think that really does help what what is he supposed to do though like see let’s and I want you to break it down as we go into Championship Sunday I know you said he’s going to rest after this but how does he gather it together for this last 24 hours as he said to you in his his interview well he said he’s going to sleep for the next 12 hours but I think for one more day he’s just got to must up the energy for one more day he’s got to go through his routine I don’t know what he does maybe he’s going to have a little massage right now but he will be on the driving range later today because that’s his routine and in the morning do the same thing he said he’s been going to the gym every single day he has to go to the gym so do that tomorrow but just maybe do lighter weights or whatever just not not the heavy stuff that he usually does and just go through that same routine as he said just one more day and he’ll get that welld deserved 12 did Bryson Des Shambo win the US Open last week but he’s also won the hearts of millions of Golf and sports fans with his approach to the game and the public I’ve been the same person since day one a lot of stories said golf needs Bryson back the fact is Bryson hasn’t gone anywhere The Narrative has shifted for sure people have started to see who I truly am he is a transformative player he also has done something to really kind of transform the professional landscape of the game he is single-handedly uniting the fans behind professional golf I want to give back to the game of golf I think now people are starting to see who I am and what I’m trying to do for the game well Bryson was asked about taking the trophy around and letting as many people as possible touch it they said I wanted everybody to experience it this wasn’t just for me it’s time to give back it’s it’s it’s cool that the crowd is is helping me show my my true colors and express who I truly am so got to thank them for that a natural born [Applause] Entertainer and as you can see the crowd has gathered around our uh post round concert here which is never a disappoint had a soldout crowd today here in Tennessee fans uh definitely exceeded expectations as they brought the energy and the excitement a lot of Crushers GC hats in the crowd I can’t lie uh people are rooting for that guy named Bryson Des Shambo but what a day a lot to talk about Terell Hatton showed all the way up today we’re going to talk about it a little bit more it’s Club 54 post round show and here’s a tweet live Nashville was legit what is the deal with people dressing like they’re going to play golf when they’re simply going to watch people play golf but on the the flip side this this is funny I saw a couple folks wearing Salvage denim which makes no sense either it’s 95° outside uh yes it is very hot out here joining Don Boule and I is your favorite live golf analyst Jerry FZ who oh what’s that mean about Don well I say that about everyone got away with that one yeah I love that tweet it’s like you don’t wear ice skates to a hockey game do you yeah I’m not what is the right thing to wear when you show up in the heat to a to a live golf whatever you want yeah yeah how are you feeling Jerry uh was great this was fun right yeah oh you’re I’m not going to tell you you’re always right but you you sure did predict the roller coaster leaderboard that we got to see today and I got to say it was fun would love to hear your take Jerry it didn’t take a genius to it down when we got that many great players in the field and they’re that tightly bunched no not at all I mean this golf course we it’s it’s uh proving to be a little tougher than what the players expected and when it’s tough like that it does Bunch the leaderboard doesn’t it and it’s been great and so many birdie opportunities on what on the scorecard is the back nine and we saw that with ter Terell Hatton who struggled didn’t struggle early couldn’t make any putts you weren’t following him you’re were following Bryson and he made a lot of birdies late in the round as well yeah he did uh I mean you’ve got 14 which is he had 50 yards in 16’s drivable 17 even although it’s a long par for it’s it’s just a wedge a gap wedge for them coming in and then you got 18 which Bryson hit eight iron in but uh definitely tomorrow that back Nine’s going to be very interesting it could be quite quite a roller coaster that’s a a shot of Bryson Des Shambo there signing autographs for the fans I don’t know how he’s doing it I don’t know how he’s doing it either uh another thing I wanted to bring up I don’t know how John Catlin is showing up all that pressure on him as a substitute we we talked to him yesterday in the post show he said I want to be here I and I want my game to show that uh you know so tell you the truth I’m not one bit surprised that John Catlin is up there I’m surprised that he’s He In Contention but after yesterday’s round I’m not surprised at all because I’ve seen him for 10 12 years now if he starts a tournament well he just somehow always seems to keep himself up there and he’s a closer he’s not scared tomorrow Jerry I know he’s got haton and ramen D Shambo surrounding him he is not scared whatsoever what was the one1 Recently I was watching in the middle of the night you were commentating on was that mcau M I think it was maau cuz he won Saudi the next event but I wasn’t there yeah no I had I I had heard the name and read the never seen guy watch I watched that and there was some pretty competition in that field that week um I I couldn’t have been more impressed by by how disciplined he plays yeah and how about that 59 he shot on the Saturday there on that par five1 18th at maau he had a three iron and he flagged it it couldn’t have been a better shot he ended up 25 ft and he rode that P him for the historic first ever 59 that’s the kind of you know game and guts he’s got and and just think I mean and you know this um as well Christian it’s a life Cher if he goes on to win this he’s going to move up into the top 24 currently which is a lock position at the end of the season only one two three four individual tournaments remaining in Liv and if he were able to stay there if he happens to get another start or two if he were able to stay there that he’s got a spot next year that is lifechanging and he wants that spot yeah he really wants it that would be a whole lot fun to see let’s pull up some highlights from John catlin’s day how about you two take us through it shall we sure let’s do it boys this will be the first John Cat round two Jerry this will be the first offense scene of these right here this is his third shot at 11 the second part five as he played it today yeah he’s long but he hadn’t got the power to get home in two on 11 butth he did it the hard way this for birdie at 14 a lot of midlength putts that he just looked Rock Solid on only miss read a couple yeah that’s a quick putt on 14 from behind the PIN man he loves it he loves the attention too this the birdie at 16 and and then he went on to birdie 18 and what the birdie at 18 did that guaranteed him a spot in what we call the premier grouping the the the modified shotgun start the leaders go off last off number one he’s in that group with Terell Hatton and likely Bryson dambo when the pairings come out uh I I want to talk about Legion 13 a little bit more Jerry would love your opinion on Legion 13 as we head into Championship Sunday can we see another team championship from Legion here in Nashville goodness Grace I picked I thought I honestly and I told you I think yesterday or earlier this week I picked Rah to break the goose egg here this this week and he still got a great chance obviously um what I didn’t count on was the rest of the team playing as good as they did now Caleb serat he played his college golf for what a year or a week uh just down the road to University of Tennessee he’s from the south he’s from the Charlotte area he’s come here Kieran Vincent I think was the wild card and always was going to be and he got it done today I mean just making a ton of birdies do we’re going to actually check in now uh with the press conference with Terell Hatton and John Rah let’s check in now yeah so um he got off to a little bit of a slow start in terms of scoring through the first um 11 holes um it’s a little bit scruffy te Green in in places and yeah it was nice to to hold that Pat on 12 and then obviously chipping in on 13’s a bonus um although I wasn’t that far away from the hole it’s still um so you just kind of want to get make three and move on um yeah long and hold in a long part on 14 so I definitely had momentum on my side and carried that through to the finish so very happy with um how the back nine played out and John I uh besides my starting Hall of a day where I just got a little unlucky with my my lie on the bunker um the next 17 holes is really good golf I mean nine under never really was out of position uh really really happy and comfortable with with the way I drove it I you know I was pretty much I can’t remember if if I missed the fway after that first hole and gave myself a lot of chances and uh didn’t really do anything wrong after that had plenty of looks and made a couple long pots on on 9 and 11 there were bonuses and took care of the rest uh I needed R like that to get close to the lead obviously ter fin is fantastic and still a little bit of work to do tomorrow but uh you know I I definitely needed I knew I could do it and it was nice to to get going quickly on the round to to shoot a loose go score so your injury completely healed now obviously you’re feeling great out there I wouldn’t say completely but this is I I played nearly 18 holes pain free uh so I mean that’s probably why I hit it so much better yesterday bugged me a little bit uh and this just in the back of your head for a second at least it was yesterday but not today never never really questioned um you know not being able to swing it and I think that’s what made the difference terl you’re in position tomorrow to take home your very uh great hearing from Legion 13 but joining us for a Majestics takeover we have Lee Westwood and Sam horfield right here on Club 54 post round show thank you guys so much for joining us uh how how did today treat you guys it was good um you know I got off to a pretty good start made some made some early birdies and then um yeah just sort of made pars plotted along throughout the day um so yeah it was a good day that LE five under out of you today what went right well I just carried on from yesterday I’ve not made a bogey in two days so uh you know I’m obviously playing solidly uh did some nice work Tuesday Wednesday thday busy with Pete Cowan and uh really playing a little bit more at the moment um played a bit more as The Season’s gone on and uh starting to see some positive signs so uh yeah it’s been uh it’s been some solid stuff over these first couple of days yeah live is unique it’s an individual game golf is but you play as a team tomorrow all four scores count both of you guys are in positions where you could use the points individually but also the Camp Confidential thing you guys did that down in Orlando and the fact that it’s been a while since we’ve seen a Podium how much will that be in the team talk and the team chat tonight well I think that is in the team talk but you’re right by saying it’s tonight and you know you get it out the way make a plan for tomorrow and then just try and execute the plan what are your thoughts I’m sorry you had more no it’s all right no keep going yeah I totally agree I um you know I think we we all know what we’re capable of doing and just sort of going out there tomorrow and um you know playing good solid golf I think we all played pretty well today so just sort of keeping the foot on the gas and trying to make as many bires as we can I know this is a tough question to to predict but if things really go your way on this golf course if you’re in control of that ball what’s what is possible out there for a low score I I feel like there’s a really low score possible out there you know if you’re driving the ball well you can take some of these SES on with driver I’m thinking of OES like six and eight um 14 really get it a long way down there and be going in with short irons so I think if you’re in control of your your swing and your game then you like most golf courses but even more so with this you know there’s plenty of Birdie and Eagle opportunities out there yeah you concur I completely agree um you know the greens are really pure um so you know to give yourself a lot of looks is is really nice um and yeah just sort of make birdies well Sam we’re going to get to you Lee we’re going to start with your highlights first if you don’t mind this is your moment to talk a little talk a little bit we pull his highlights up take us to it take the fans through it it’s a while since about to do this so I’ll give him a Best Shot you got it you got it this is Lee West ladies and gentlemen uh this must be oh right yeah hit down the right hand side into the toilets got really Lu got free drop 261 four iron 10 ft that’s your third at seven the other that was awful because it was up against the color so that was a good shot I mean that’s a great pitch over that there I don’t want to play that one again I tell you that’s nice um so that was a start of three birders in a row I made this 30 foot on uh eight eight yeah and and never out right in the middle and then nine I I just don’t know how to play nine I I I tried to avoid the bunker but I’m in it again I’m in it I’m in it too I’m in it had a nice yardage I think 161 slightly into the wi with an eight iron and 3 feet and in so uh yeah it was a beauty that one you say it’s been a while since you had to do this sit here and call highlights of yourself in uh in see my wife even made me rate the bunker there did you really yeah yeah um well you’re a shivil man uh but do you think at this point in your career we’re going to we want to see a lot more Lee Westwood in this position having to call his own highlights do you got that in you yeah I think so I it’s a balancing act with me you know it’s uh that um to play at at the highest level you’ve got to put a lot of working and you know practice a lot and and play a lot but when you get to you know 51 your body won’t let you won’t allow you to do that sometimes you know you lose a little bit of the drive when I go back to England and it’s cold it’s tough to get out there you know I’m I’m losing ground on everybody I’m not playing on the same kind of speed of greens I’m not able to work on a short game as much but you see my game coming around when I play a run a tournament you know I’m out here and I’m doing some hard work in Houston a couple of weeks ago um I can stay on top of the gym work wherever I go but it’s really fine-tuning the game on tournament Championship style golf courses which is where I struggle with thank you for that Lee Sam we’re going to actually pull something up now on the screen and I got a question for you Sam where were you in this image here uh where is this this is uh Lee Westwood and himr sson hit the town ahead of Liv Golf Nashville I’m not in there you’re definitely not in I’m not in that one you’re definitely not in this one uh well talk about this image that’s here Lee what was that uh that was the uh opening party on uh Wednesday evening um we went down into Nashville which by the way is amazing it was I mean I’ve some seen some party towns and some streets where there’s some bars along it but that blew my mind I uh I can’t believe how good Nashville is I’d like to come back here when there’s not a golf T just honestly tear It Off You wer in the picture Were you invited no I don’t even know where that was what we were doing there I was not in no no he no we like I said time is winding down on the individual chance to gain points uh how important would it be for you to make up some serious ground right now and get in that lock Zone that top 24 yeah I mean obviously it would be really nice um you know but I’ve been working on a few things in my swing the last couple weeks and um you know I feel like I’ve done a very very good job the last couple days of just staying focused on those those things and just making a good move at it and then just playing golf um you know obviously tomorrow would it’d be really nice to go out and do do sort of similar to what I’ve done the first few days um you know and we’ll see we’ll see what happens well Sam would you mind taking us through your highlights now this is your moment Sam on do not be modest tell us what happened today okay let’s see it where we at here all right ladies gentlemen Sam horsefield round two birdie at four birdie at four uh I hit it just short of the green chipped it up um just outside left was a nice nice one after bogey in the first hold to start today this was on 12 I believe yeah this was this was a nice one uh uphill just outside right um yeah that that got that got me on a nice little run there um left below right there yeah went leftow right this was I thought this was going in for a second this was uh 103 thought so too yeah we had 103 and then it yeah um so that was nice obviously just went up there and knocked that in and then just parred parred my way in um you know so it was it was a good day played really solid had a lot of looks and uh yeah looking forward to tomorrow I know you guys got to get out of here but for any Majestics fans watching New or Old final message for them well hopefully we’ll all play well tomorrow you know tomorrow is so exciting the final day of these aive events with four scores to count it’s so volatile and uh anything can happen can come from way back so uh um just Tennessee Titans getting my second Taste of live golf out here was in Vegas earlier this year for the pro I’m out there with Phil back with the High Flyers on the home turf at the Grove here outside of Nashville Tennessee playing with Brendon steel yeah you guys are doing great you’ve hit some awesome shots are high let’s go we got to finish strong we were talking about you win in adelade and congrats again big win first win in a little bit must have felt awesome you said the fans were some of the best fans you’ve ever seen I mean they were really great I mean obviously like very passionate fans very loud fans but the most support that I’ve ever had which is really cool not being an Australian you know having an Australian team there and still having everybody yelling for me coming down the stretch was it was a really cool experience and super fun for me I feel like you feed off that stuff you know anytime you get a hostile crowd or any crowd that’s just bringing the energy you just lean into it and use it as fuel I think it’s fun more it’s almost more fun playing away than it is home sometimes absolutely I think now I’m a a high flyer officially so honorary high flyer for life no doubt absolutely love to see it and you know what else I love to see a soldout crowd at live golf league as you can see the fans have not gone anywhere as We’ve Ended our round two because they’re at the concert and why wouldn’t they be uh great music always here at Liv Golf Nashville has been an absolute pleasure I’d say probably the loudest us stop we’ve had so far uh why suan hang a i no you could I could have been in the concert absolutely not you’re here with us uh welcome to the show uh you had yourself a day how was it for you who did you follow today I had Terell I had Catlin I had uh Abe answer uh really quite an impressive pairing and what a day TL have I mean honestly nothing for like nine holes he birdied his first and then just went on to birdie six out of his seven holes finishing holes I mean that is impressive especially in this heat oh absolutely should we take a look at his highlight Su take us through it sure why not all right let’s take a look at Terell haton highlights pretty much led the way the entire day today suan take us through it yeah this is a second shot on the second this is where he birded his his first birdie of the day second is a tough hole Jerry originally meant to be a par five for the members he made it look easy with that second shot right there those guys made it look easy on that hole uh how was his demeanor throughout the day so you know good you know you know I think after a while when he missed a few putts I thought oh boy he’s going to combust uh but he stayed really patient he stayed within himself he he he I mean he you know he’s terrible right he’s going to get frustrated uh and that’s why we do love him he’s he’s so authentic he talks and thinks the way any golfer would at a membership so yeah that’s why we love him difference being though he’s done with it by the next shot yeah no I mean most of us are still just ruing our existence in life the entire round when things start going bad he doesn’t yeah I spoke to his caddy who’s one of his best friends Hugo who’s who’s in as a replacement caddy for Mick uh who’s recovering from an injury but I said what happens when Terell gets mad what do you do as a caddy and as a friend because that’s got to be tricky right and he goes well yeah I said would you just go go up to him and give him a hard time he goes n he was a I kind of give him a little space uh and then I go up to him and I give him a little pep talk uh but that’s you know terra’s the kind of guy that once it’s out it’s out and he’s good but he needs to get it out in order to then snap back and play really well and there’s different players out here some stay really calm T is not one of them right was there anything else uh that you notic you followed him around he either stood out to you or I mean he is so consistent Jerry I mean his worst finished this year was tied 21st in Hong Kong other than that he hasn’t finished outside that so that just tells a consistency of how good of a player he is well thank you so much suan we’ll talk more about that but now let’s toss it over to Rachel Drummond Rachel what’s up right now I’m going to say it I’m with one of the hardest working golfers on Liv I see you out here on the Range before anyone else Anthony Kim thank you for joining us how do you practice how did you how did you get ready for events I’m a field player but I am trying to work on on some stuff technically just being away from the game for so long um I’ve lost some of my feel but it’s slowly coming back and and what I’m really focused on is trying to stay on top of the ball like I said I when I first got back I saw all the guys hitting it so far I thought the way to to increase my speed was to get further behind the ball but right now I’m realizing that I have plenty of speed still I just need to make sure I make solid contact you talk about staying centered you know how do you practice that is it swings against a wall looking at your Shadow how do you how do you work on that uh I just hit some more balls yeah you just keep hitting I just keep hitting balls till I till I feel like I’m starting to hit it solid and then I video it a couple times let’s see you hit one let’s see you strike one I mean you’ve already played in the proam today so very nice and in terms of shot shape you know with your irons what are you feeling most comfortable seeing so the ball doesn’t curve as much as when I played um I think the technology has made it so it’s harder to curve but I’m trying to hit a left to right shot cuz I that’s the most comfortable to me but you know every once in a while the right to left is come into play and and that’s what I’m trying to get rid of and technically how are you eliminating the right to left um again I’m trying to stay on top of the ball when I get too far away from the ball um then it just gives me too much room and too much time to flip my hands and so the way to eliminate using my hands I’m just trying to stay on top of it and turn through it that’s a good tip for everyone at home cuz it’s quite a common thing trying to help the ball into the air definitely not only that but I think everyone wants to hit it farther right whether you’re playing shooting 90 with your friends or whether you’re shooting 65 you still want to hit it farther and and I think everyone thinks the leverage comes from turning further back but there’s lots of good ball Strikers I just played with John ROM two weeks ago or three weeks ago and his his swing is obviously very short he generates so much power because of contact and and using the ground so well so um for all the amateurs out there I think it’s important to just make sure you make good contact now I followed your journey from the start and I love the fact that you play loads of golf with your wife you’re always out there playing you know what benefit do you get from playing instead of you know maybe standing on the Range and grinding it out I I actually like playing golf more than I like hitting balls um my wife is one of the reasons I’m playing golf right now obviously my daughter is my biggest inspiration but I wouldn’t have been back out on the golf course without her and and so um while I’m out there I as corny as it sounds I try to just be grateful that I get to play this game again especially at the highest level and and U for a great organization and um feel really grateful to be out here come on let’s see another one all right so again the baby fade that’s that’s not moving that looks good to me now in terms of Coach you used to work with scriber and my Adam shriber Adam shriber my my accent isn’t very good here no it’s good how often do you w with him still or I don’t um he’s he’s like a father figure to me he’s he’s been uh he’s one of the reasons I play professional golf and one of the reasons I feel like I was able to have the little bit of success I did was because he uh you’re not alone well he he was uh instrumental in in getting me to where I I got to um unfortunately obviously things got in the way but he he helped me get where I’m at and and the reason that I’m able to come back to golf is because of the fundamentals that he taught me now let’s quickly touch on fundamentals cuz they are key in go my dad used to teach me grip aim stance posture you know what did you get from Anthony in terms of fundamentals you still used today well obviously the the setup is the most important I think if you get in an athletic position um most people can hit the ball well but if you’re not balanced then you’re already off to a bad start and it makes it so you have to put Band-Aids on your on your golf swing so for me I try to always be pretty close to shoulder width apart with my feet and my shoulders and my feet are lined going parallel the same direction um what I’ve been working on lately is my my feet have been left and my should or my shoulders have been left and my feet have been right so they’re crisscross and it’s making my ball either go pull to the left or hit a Big Slice so I’m trying to straighten that out even today um I feel like I’m pretty much there how’s he doing Ryan he I pay him extra to say that to say that yes yeah now Anthony I’m so excited to see what you do the remain of the Season you are transcending golf so thank and I wish you all the best thank
