Robert McIntyre’s first PGA Tour win not only bagged himself $1.6 million but also a 2-year exemption on the PJ tour a boost to 39th in the official world golf rankings and a long list of invites into the best tournaments for the rest of the year however none of this compares to winning said tournament with your dad on the bag as well as discussing all of that Robert has one of the most interesting bags on tour right now with some very unique choices which means that they’re not that expensive for you to get a hold of but also with some of the newer choices in the bag maybe re-evaluating your bag and how to potentially build it story of Robert’s dad being on the bag for that week is what any tall professional could dream of called up last minute after Robert and his previous caddy parted ways quick okay from work as a Greenkeeper to have the week off and next flight to Canada a full 12 hours after the call being made and then showing the true strength of what a fatherson partnership can be when it obviously installed calmness solidarity mindfulness into Roberts game that week now before I get into the very affordable irons the unusual Fairway would and to be honest they not so surprising rescue I do want to cover some of the newer models through this bag as his choice of Club selection could be very beneficial for you guys but what I’m most excited about is this comparison right here which I haven’t been able to do yet because I haven’t been able to get hold of an sm10 both at 48° 10° bounce and at F grind however sadly different shafts and different grips so it can’t be an ultimate Fair Test Now spoiler alert I’m not expecting wonders because the rules of golf when it comes to wedges are so strict and the chances of me saying the S sm10 is that much better than the sm9 is close to zero the bit that does fascinate me is how many tour Pros choose to use older models sm8 sm7 the world number one gol for right now sm8 in the bag and don’t get me wrong these SM 7s sm8 sm9 will still be getting replenished they won’t be using these for 2 years my point is is that once you find a headstyle you’re as good as those guys and you want them fine-tuned why would you change anything you know the numbers you know your spin you know the flight that you can produce with them and when the game is won and lost from this yardage it makes sense not to Tinker with it that should say sm9 by the way and by no means am I the world’s best wedge player however there’s not really that much difference between those two is there however you can get fitted for the sm10 because they’re new and if you’re a decent golfer low mid handicap or even single digit handicapper I’d rather spend £450 on a wedge fitting than £600 on a brand new driver and and on the flip side if you’re mid to high handicapp or looking for a new wedge sm9 is still rather expensive first of all these are tough wedges to use and I’ve done beginner wedges in the past but not only that the sm8 the sm7 will perform just as well as those two at a fraction of the price now before we cover the unusual wood choices let’s go to the top of the bag and the bottom of the bag and keep it brief as I’ve talked a bit about this before most titless Pros whether it’s TSR or the TSI opt for the three model Robert however has the tsr2 version which is the slightly larger slightly more forgiving version and don’t get me wrong when partner it up with his xflex tour graphite shaft coupled with the 9° ahead this is by no means an easy Club to hit however I did a full video on Titus heads the different models and rated the TSI as an incredibly good value and for that player that needs ultimate forgiveness the tsr1 or the tsi1 however if the pro can use that more forgiving higher launching head a great effect at their level some of you might benefit from that as well which brings me on to the poter that seems to keep on winning everywhere interestingly in February Robert was using the Odyssey AI versions of this poter Mallet style you name it and then swapped out to the tailor made spider tour poter which evidently did very well for himself that week however there’s been lots of versions of the spider Putters over the years so I want to give you a like for like of the the £300 option that all the pros are using which is the original Spider tour putter came in red came in Black some with Al alignment some not with alignment and this putter has stayed at 100 to 120 value for the last four to 5 years and it’s my gift to you guys as you could buy this thing look after it keep the head cover use it for a year and if you decide it’s not for you you’re going to get your money back now I’ve talked a lot about Cobra and how it doesn’t do that well in the second Market especially at the top end of the bag and that potentially could be down to the fact not many T Pros are using it in the driver option however in terms of the fairway wood option there definitely seems to be a different Trend going Matt Fitzpatrick’s bag has always fascinated me all the way from him using those ping s55 which is how I know he kept using a cobra Aero jet in that wood option looking on the PGA club tracker website again you can see multitudes of Pros using different versions of Cobra Fairway woods and my reasoning and understanding from this is just how much more shallow they are from Hill to toe how they sit on the ground even in the low spin model heads like Robert’s using and because Fairway Woods are so versatile is it a fairway find is it approaching Club is it something that you want to use to get out the rough is it something that you want to try and shot shape all of these questions are very much valid the bit that I love is that a lot of tour Pros that aren’t being paid by Cobra are using Cobra Fairway woods and the secret isn’t quite out yet hence the Aero jet fairway wood or ldx Fairway Wood whatever goes for a very reasonable amount of money and for you guys looking for that fivewood in stiff Flex or looking for that seven wood in regular Flex Cobra’s probably your best bet especially for the year it came out and the technology that’s in it the next surprising Club in this bag is this stealth hybrid not because it’s tailor made not because it’s the older version that’s the stealth 2 but actually the setup that he’s got with it and how it merges into the irons now I’m certainly not naive enough to Hazard a guess the level of control these guys have at the top end of the bag I’m talking a 235 draw and then a 210 yard cut however when we get into the irons and why I think they’re so great this does seem like a big jump up stealth to three hybrid 19° worth of Loft obviously graphite shaft in it and I’m certain when hit well I’m pretty sure Rob’s going to knock this thing out 240 odd yards now before I show you the ridiculous price you can get these absolute beauties for you can see my concern as me as an amateur compared to Robert as this forine if I was 225 from the green and I had Robert’s bag what what am I taking is it a cuty three hybrid trying to get it to grip or is it a muscle down for IR when standing over this thing I mean it looks a bit forgiving however you catch it slightly not out the middle you’re going to lose a bit of distance but here’s one of the bonuses of these irons these are very much true lofted 24° with the four iron 35° with the seven which is incredibly traditional in today’s standard and the pitching wedge at 47 which is why Robert decided to take it out the bag Al together my point is this too many of us are concerned about 200 yard plus gapping diing I’ve got a big gap between my 3w and then my five hybrid there’s like a 20 30 yard Gap there and to be honest how often are you going to have that 25 yard shot 220 yard shot more importantly if you do have the right Club what’s the ch is you’re even going to hit a great shot with the thing however the best in the world know this game is one or loss from 150 yards in meaning Rob’s got four to n in these very true lofted pretty forgiving for what they are and then Blends nicely into his sm10 at 46° and then sm9 all the way up to 60° Windam Clark won his major with the 620 CB irons Robert McIntyre won his first PJ J Tour event with them and for you guys that want true Loft for you guys that need a higher launch angle but need some forgiveness this this by no means is an absolute blade and a butter knife well as I’m showing you with the prices here down the right hand side these As Good As It Gets when it comes to titless irons one of the cheapest titless irons for its age yet you’re getting all the benefits from what a forg titless iron can be and there’s a good amount of choice out there for these clubs however beware if you’re struggling for distance these certainly aren’t going to help you guys if you got any questions on your golf bag or equipment sasg golf academy.com I’ll catch you guys later

Great video. Very interesting as your videos always are
Canadian Open ❤
TaylorMade staffer and only carries two of their clubs!
Wilson staff TM22 best putter hands down.!!
Very underrated!! I’ve been through so many putters but this is the best
I had the sm9’s and changed to the sm10’s what a mistake, I believe the 9 is the better wedge all round 🤦♂️
I game a set of 1986 Titleist DTR irons with a Cleveland 52⁰… Mack Daddy 56⁰… SM9 60⁰… and Pinemeadow 68⁰…
I know my irons and I trust them. I buy new wedges when the milling wears down, but irons I keep forever.
Finally upgraded my RBZ driver to a Stealth 2 Plus this season since the Qi came out and everyone is trading in their Stealth sets.
They haven't changed the COR regulations since the 90s… clubs might be more forgiving today, but they are only longer due to loft fuckery…
Use what you get along with. I love raising eyebrows when I pure a 40yr old 8i to 5 feet of the pin… 😂
Shows you that someone with all the new gear pretty much has no idea 😂
The stealth 2 hd fairway woods are the easiest woods to hit out there. Anyone that struggles with woods should search for one. Never hit the cobras, but I can’t imagine they can be easier to use. The qi10 max woods are even better than the stealth 2 hd and give more workability. Obviously since they are new you’re spending more than the stealth 2, but either are a great choice. My 3 and 7 is stealth 2 hd and 5 is the qi10 max. Absolutely love them
Let me tell you the Cobra fairways are so freaking good. Havent felt a bad one yet.
