In today’s video, I breakdown what the golf grip is and how you should be holding the golf club in order to have a better chance of hitting better shots and therefore improving your golf game! There are a few simple fundamentals to look out for and in this video I walk through these key points.

[Music] hello guys welcome back to a brand new video where today we’re on hle number four here at VI romano and I’m going to show you how to have a perfect golf grip my name is Mitchell this is Mitchell biner Golf and let’s get into [Music] it all right guys so the first thing to understand in having a good grip is to always make sure we have three things Club face the shaft and the grip all in a straight line okay as you can see here there’s a nice reference on this club this Golf Pride logo is a great way of making sure that the shaft is straight if I have my Golf Pride logo like this look how the club face is closed and vice versa if I twist the Golf Pride logo to the right look how the club face tends to be open so very important we get the logo whether it’s Golf Pride lanking whatever you want to use use make sure it’s always straight which keeps the club face straight too all right from here let’s now talk about the left hand first or right hand if you are left-handed we want to make sure that the club doesn’t sit in the palm of the hand it sits in the middle of the index finger and at the bottom of the pinky or the little finger okay from here these fingers wrap on the club like so and then the rest of the hand sit sits on top like so as you can see there’s a nice vshape created here that runs up towards my right shoulder this is the left hand or right hand if you’re left-handed taken care of now right hand lift the club up there’s three types of ways to hold the club here we have the 10 finger grip or the baseball grip which is when the pinky on the right hand and the index fing on the left sit nice and close together we then have the interlock grip which is when the pinky on the right and the index finger on the left sit like this and interlock with each other and then we also have the overlap grip which is also very common um amongst a lot of players which is when the right hand just simply rests on top personally I like the interlock grip because I feel like it keeps my hands nice and connected but either of those three grips work well um so give it a try and let me know which one you like to use out on the golf course now let’s say we’re going to go for the interlock grip again we’re going to open the index finger up Let the pinky just slide in there and then the fingers just wrap around the back and the thumb and the rest of the hand comes on top like so again as you can see there’s a nice vshape now created on my right hand also which again runs up towards my right shoulder okay so left hand let’s get that club in the middle of the index finger and the bottom of the pinky we wrap the fingers around the back left hand comes on top we then if you use the interlock interlock the fingers like so the fingers here go back around the club and then we also create a nice vshape with the uh right hand as well okay let’s hit a shot and see how we get on and that’s a pretty good shot there guys so make sure you check your grip get those fingers and hands in the correct position and it will help with your overall consistency of strike if you enjoyed this video smash that like button below subscribe to the channel leave me a comment too and I’ll see you in the next one [Music]
