As the Masters and the British are working to limit ads, the USGA is running interminable commercials to suck every $ out of the game – politics, product ads, praise of what a good job they doing, extolling DEI. On top of that, the coverage moved to Peacock so that we fans have sign up and pay to watch; don’t I already pay for NBC on cable? When amateurs run a professional company… and BTW, the tournament is as painful to watch as it is for the players to endure. The luckiest guy will win. Great test.

I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE US OPEN FOR 30 YEARS, AND I JUST HAVE TO SAY THIS: THE US OPEN ORGANISATION HAS GOT TO STOP THE US OPEN BEING A MICKEY MOUSE COURSE. wHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS THAT THE US OPEN IS MOST OFTEN A COURSE WHERE A LUCKY GUY COMES OF BETTER THAN A GOOD PLAYER. TAKE FOR INSTANCE AT PINHURST HOW MANY TIMES THOSE MICKEY MOUSE GREEN REJECTED BALLS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE GREEN. SOMETIMES THEY MAKE THE ROUGH 6 INCHES TALL. OTHER TIMES FAIRWAYS ARE 15 YARDS WIDE WHERE THE BEST PLAYERS HIT. I NOTICE THE QUALITY OF THE GREENS WERE TERRIBLE. STOP MAKING THE COURSE SO RIDICULOUSLY MICKEY MOUSE. Wow, they are human, this is the golf I needed. I understand the pressure of playing good and keeping it going but dudes on cruise control at the top isn't entertaining in my opinion, golf is the true test especially at the open! Havjng the most difficult course possible is amazing, they tried making them longer but now they are going for short game, good luck out there!
