live from the rainbow Hills Country Club this is the moving day Saturday round three hours and so good we have cut the field down from 132 perfectly in half to 66 all in pursuit of A2 billion prize purse with no sun continuing to lead this competition the action is fast and furious with our featured groups around the Midway marks of their [Music] respective that will be a chance for her to take outright second position number offce shot she’s one of the best performers the day thus far at 200 in fact that is tied for the second highest score of all 66 players who have competed today and this putt looks like it has a bit too much break and does indeed whiz by the outside of the cup trying to play an approach on nine but comes up short if she’s not in the sand she is in a very thick section of the rough and un for a bogey that will drop her to minus four pays for misread of that initial putt it is her first drop stroke of the day she goes to one under for this Saturday is going to get that to justed tied for seconds now with her third birdie of the front n take another look ends up offering a huge assist to that Bur currently 27 de a little bit cooler than it was through the first two rounds of the competition here some of those overcast Skies to keep the heat away broke away almost immediately ends up being missed by to the outside you’ll have to settle for the par sat go to nine and it is indeed in the sand our little FL left the that’s why now easier said than done when we just assume what would be the best knowing that most important part of that shot was just getting it up on to the green back to eight after that marvelous approach Canin Two Strokes from the top just [Music] enough she is absolutely rewarded for that marvelous shot onto the green slightly [Applause] uphill it’s just Saturday but with every Birdie the reactions from the gallery the players and their caddies are always a little bit more animated these Majors absolutely the world to the field 11 it will be six iron for unina [Music] [Applause] wow be this is look to follow just a very comfortable Saturday afternoon and so good had a absolutely thrilling preparation tournament last week where we saw a little bit of tour history with pin becoming the first player to defend a title four times in a row four years in a row and setting the stage for this mid June classic 38th play The Women’s Open golf championship spee oh on good job y very dramatic moment me and off by a fraction popping out the back and denying her birdie here sour leaderboard looks no Sunni with a two-stroke lead over Kim Kim Su two under as is chab both tied for third now pesan rounding out the top five ran malixi our Amer plus one today but minus two for the tournament in a tie for 10th position Pang we’ve seen some great shot making from her tied for 14th through 11 the likes of Chong Yuni who has slipped slightly since a really good start to the tournament back on thursday1 our defending champion at par 72 6,149 M sets of 18 of the most challenging holes we’ve seen this season will really Force the eventual winner to earn every single birdie and the on Eagle we hope as well for for for for for for for for for for for for for for for a major championship with deep history going back to 1987 Jun won the very first Korea Women’s Open it’s one of our favorite on the calendar each and every season is our leader by Two Strokes Kim sui JGA being tied for third peso Yan in fifth Yun who probably has mixed feelings about this Tournament of course it was a poor decision that she regrets immediately playing the wrong ball knowing she played the wrong ball and admitting as much she was initially suspended from the tour for three years she did not appeal she accepted her punishment with humility and Grace she has since been able to apply for early reinstatement and with a important lesson learned a better person and better athlete from it no doubt and she’s very much right in the h as well does a few 360° loops around the cup before eventually dropping a great bounce back for hers C sh long first butle she was truly aspiring to do was keep it close very slim likelihood of anything more than that it’s really good control just to ensure nothing more than a t is required [Applause] she’s very much in the hunt absolutely knows what it takes to win on the biggest of stages she would of course absolutely love to add this tournament to her very impressive CV now a fresh off of the birdie playing the wood off the T left the driver in her bag [Music] start to see the pantomimed ly to suggest that ball is lost and she now needs to focus for good news is she was able to find it with one last search and conventional way to play a second shot but very the birdie she starts the back the same way two really really nice parts approach time lay almost an identical shot to her groupmate both within four meters at the most and trying to save her slightly right to left job done it holds to play for a future group as they walk over to the 11 te now PES on 12 the back of the green and taking really well J be now for six under but didn’t quite have the same raate and took some extra speed to ensure she got up and ends up sailing Beyond glancing down at the notebook to refresh her memory of the particular challenges here still some players on the now on the green got number 11 and two of the three players in the group with a chance to birdie for for for for for for well this week at Rainbow Hills a 1.2 times bonus and the season long race to the weix championship just one more incentive from special tournaments on the calendar did it again noi pays slightly for t- shot that goes long settle for a par we head to 12 P for a birdie did not want to that final right to left M get in the get in the hole is was looking for she’s misjudged and over hit for a second shot [Music] celebrated for a strong tan she had little to do but just tap the ball in for birdie number four today Kim Su G rewarded for attacking the at JP onto the fight or effort by any stretch of the imagination she has the furthest from the flag playing their parts leaderboard especially after bogy Double bogy stretch but back into the swing of things on the back nine [Music] w it’s becoming something of an absolute shootout and we as the announcer and you as the viewer are much better for it a little while away like the read that she’s out of past few holes J gab a good putt despite the disappointing results [Applause] spe looking downhill towards the green CH ends up almost in the bullseye of it for these players it feels like they can make just about anything work but that type of range with where the pin is today you go take an extra bit of the rough or worse you can understand why she might be just to be a little more conservative more than a satisfactory result considering she was in the rough to begin [Music] side of the spectrum where you’re a little too conservative and to rely more onter perhaps you would like all three are on varying distances how that might positively impact their score for for for for for for for back at Rainbow Hills the longest out ised a good [Music] so y have back to back birdies now three off the pace as she is finding a nice little run at this stage in the back nine [Music] so he’s slightly [Music] misaligned for [Music] proving to be a tough nut to crack this green the Back Spin to bring it slightly closer but still Fair bit off effort from punching sheld G preparing to begin the power 56 [Music] still a little bit frustrated that the first one didn’t go but can smile as she exits the green knowing she is still our leader let’s take an Arial tour of hole number 14 and the different challenges and opportun ities that it presents it is one of the most beautiful in the entire course with the Terrace Lakes a few waterfalls as well nice to look at not nice to put your ball into maybe if you were I we’re playing that’d be more of a concern than it is for our Elite athletes you can see the longer you try to drive off the te here the more margin for error you open up the more the water does come into play very narrow strip of Fairway that works its way down the left before dog leg right all the way to this screen and green is where we find puning Shield seven and a half after right the break is going bit too much of it for spe [Music] [Applause] Stills to KI to win a from the group [Music] [Music] successfully into the Fairway for Fore spe hey don’t last but not least no birie here on Thursday settled for par yesterday continues to that dri out as well if not better than anyone else on the post this week the reverse angle flight starting from behind the green it’s quaint it’s tranquil want get the tour and this course are understandably happy to show off excellent not much more context to add than that great contact on the ball and needs to sort out to able to charge towards the top e he also now in the top 10 and is benefiting from a near Eagle towards the end of her back nine nearing hour number three of our third round coverage moving day Saturday thought the last was a significant climb this of course lates in the round is most it feels like actually summitting amount 19 me below the green just able to get up more from this very attackable pin Saturday good play the pitch get up the hill and gravity and the Back Spin actually do you a favor Sun she’s been a bit stagnant of late but a brilliant approach gives her an opportunity to extend the lead after a few holes of just carrying 10 under little left right break birdie is found her third of the day she remains without a misstep and four holes to go sh gabin putting from The Fringe tiptoeing its way through and it’s an almost impossible putt any softer she’s not getting out of The Fringe she just half of the way back to the front of the green [Music] okay with her power confirmed be she knew she had very thin fine margins to avoid a mistake and unfortunately for her she will be dropping all number 15 is next the sixth of the East course from the tea ground to the green not an exagger duration a 49 M climb from the furthest te’s at the back and basically with the distance use the furthest bunker as your aim Point trust that you will find that narrow bits at the end of the Fairway and then all about those approach shot UPS despite the drama of this hole it is as we’ve seen on multiple occasion certainly one that can be attacked [Music] chill her third birdie of the back night her fifth of the day she is now five off of see I’m coming right here really Forest shouted gets everyone’s attention and maybe on the cous side because is fine [Music] St Two Shots played up thearts for the winding drive up to the Fairway shitty the aggression on the part three reward rewarded just a few feet and pin high no small accomplishment that it’s a great shot [Music] thank you you fore spee it’s a bit of an awkward swing you could hear I vocalize that something was quite right in itn’t that being a particularly poor Broach shot she’s just way more to the right than she would wanted to be Kim B the next to go on the hunt and get the slightest of a roll back towards the flag defin an example of hit and stick attack and will be happy with where they ended up you oh nice nice [Applause] two holes to play has yet another Birdie on the day seven under her score an absolutely wonderful third round for her and she is rewarded for it on the leaderboard as well difficult to try and keep Pace with noi the leader who is not bogied one single time today but she’s doing an awfully good job of keeping herself in the mix sole possession of fifth now forb back King beel in that three-way tie for second still ran malixi one under still at four for the tournament and in ninth position Chung yunji finished with the 73 as young moving outside of the top five a few more great performances from our Amur in the fields I’ll step aside let me come back it is time for the putts on 50 cover at the DB group’s 30th Korea Women’s Open golf championship we continue for for for for ISU was disappointed with their approach with a lwn of ground to cover a fair amount she prepares for her next shot to 16 so she wants to make it for birdies on the bounce she has to be close here next from the rough on it way to the green but will be well short avoids the sand though seen some very kind good placements in round three we’ve also seen some more [Applause] [Music] [Applause] deserve it Roar that is now six on the day she’s on Pace for a 67 absolutely brilliant almost a identical distance remaining f up left to right will be the break here too much of it she had a couple of today is the name differentiating factor that sees her a little bit further back that group make sui just a short and simple pit shot beginning her 18th and finalle of the day she is on Pace for a 68 strong efforts suddenly Avid a drop she’s been able to do that with success today and she STS faultless two buts to stay at 11 under which brings us very much into the home stretch with three holes to go starting with the par five if the last hole was the big climb this seventh hole of the East course is the big descent clearly didn’t quite have the video already so let me just walk through it and I’m sure many of you tuning in today have seen it not just from the players from earlier today but also earlier in the week it is 58 me down to the green a double dog leg right to left to start left to right on the approach to the green [Applause] [Music] waits for crowd in front to clear out just tell you her mindset so she prepares this second shot this is what’s causing a me [Music] another improbable but absolutely marvelous that is her six birdie it’s hole number seven four in a row of course the exclamation she is just surging up the leader board 208s J got is going to try to reach right winds absolutely get there ping of the hybrid and she was the sand trop short honestly that might not be the worst outcome if she had skipped on the she might be well off to the back get up and down and birdie shall be hers give meju electing to play a little bit more safe lay up into the Fairway for that leaves punin Shield he GNA split the bunkers but is absolutely buried in that rough roll the dice don’t know what you’re going to get try to play that little extra bra now we’ll show you the top down view of 16 mentioned the double dog leg great way to visualize it there two pot bunkers just as the first Fairway Narrows the deeper you go in it the more you will be feeling the optimism and bravery and then six individual sand trps just before the green two on the wants to add this one she on Slam for the most part Snow singing has been completely dialed with driver slightly into the rough okay final eventually emerge just on the horizon Serpentine Way to the Fairway let’s go back to 18 159 and 6 m above the hole shorts don’t see any ripples so there’s a slim chance she will have seen from there though where exactly it ended up but that could be a dramatic moment in what has been strong round arrives at the par that reaction suest stre going noi continues to lead by two from PES Yan and Kimu G three from Kim y she was a forb back but we’ll see when we two and that would have been it for so so close to a very dramatic conclusion to the round and unfortunately for her after finding the wet it is a double bogey to end the day J has her par just into the rough so she definitely can’t go on and attack returns to the Fairway at the end of it set up her approach on the part five [Music] back to under third boy of the day G the second also just going for a layup two for two as she methodically picks her way across this par five Shields t-shot at 17 not quite as dramatic as her groupmates but on in a great spot foreign speech spee next the tea off it is an eight iron and we’ll get stuck on The Fringe just about all the way there a little short good up looking at a birdie let’s see what Sosi has for us here 73 me fall slightly below her feet in her [Music] stance that is hardly more than a tap in for her birdie she will go to 12 under par resiliency for B she tries to bounce back from that bogey joining the party entire group performs passes with flying colors down to get under very fine line and unfortunately for Filipino amiter it’s not going to impact the score at the last now K suj excellent the first of the bir recorded just one back now now that’s going to be shortlived just a few moments from now we will see noi almost certainly get the same results J be in the meantime pting from The Fringe at 17 quite get it all the way there but should be enough to make sure it’s a par a head scratcher me be Mis rdit and let’s that really good opportunity pass her by [Applause] Ken Shi with her fourth birdie of the back nine her sixth of the day excellent t-shot gim and Jew at 1.7 cheated the audio a little bit you heard the reaction before we saw ited on her behal speee can tell how big of a moment this is for chab bean rushing through this the concentration in that nice to the 18th T that’s where she heads spe two holes to play for 66 wants to make sure she is exactly far back enough as she goes on to attack long 16 hes in down now the third shot for get me G she’s still a long way away dramatic far 17 that’ll be just the way G likes it also was off that chip and aut should be all she needs to get the par on to 218 where drive along the right side of the Fairway will stay in regulation set up for a final shot of the day [Music] [Music] me right there one step closer to the perfect day one step closer to being in pole position for tomorrow’s final round deep some belief in that one second bogey of the day but an important putt to prevent her from slipping by two go as well G Su G one hole to play for future group as we near 5 p.m local time and as they walk across to the green let’s take a peek at what they are up against we’ll be able to see the clubhous from the tea ground that’s essentially what you want to aim for and from the second shots chance to go on an attack it’s 18 me down the hill from the te ground to the Fairway and another nine from there to the green and we have seen that front left to the Fairway an ultimate group on green as we speak be looking to move to six under it’s going to pick up speed the closer it gets to the [Music] P treasure hunts feel like ma Shield left to right downhill putt come on back is birdie by about a [Applause] [Music] [Applause] foot what a wonderful Back N especially 32 after bit of adversity early in the front with a bogey and double bogey to [Applause] player tied for on the back one on the in 71 spee for one last for birdie right to left catches a piece of the cup doer and caddy alike to their disbelief bewilder to end the day you about fourth birdie and five to wrap up today two Bogies on the front another birdie definely for top 10 finish closer you fore spe spe e green is cleared and a green light group and that is not something we have seen too much today G get the hybrid to get down now she’ll feel like the iron in her bag wouldn’t have been enough Club to get to the green so tried to go with this one and as a result over still 147 to go but downhill that’s the trick with this approach it’s better still a long way away and of course with the pin so close to the front Fringe on the water being a little bit longer just Illustrated give bill with the extra long drive she’s able to play more aggressive club and that’s the difference between a hybrid and an iron even she wanted to be closer than that but quite already see some players spending a little extra time on the practice graen back to their hotel rooms for the evening a quick whip around of the highlights go all the way back and start on hole number one this was 1105 local so 6 [Music] hours with an excellent start to her round with a birdie to go to four under also a strong start for no down judging the spe opening up a four shot Advantage from the early days unina she was one of the stars of this Saturday shot to ensure that it is more than the simplest of tappins Kim Su G this was at three significantly downhill and showing that the [Applause] putter first birdie of the day moving her at the time to fifth and third position back nine is where we will fast forward to next keing B five and a half basically also downhill with so much [Music] already your fourth birdie in the round to this point she did have that one shot dropped at number four about to be out done though I was able to get to double digits underp par at long last she started the round and started the back nine with birdies in each of those holes to 12 next Su essentially from the French 7.2 me [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and off the pace 14 where we go next this is where to make a charge an approach to a meter meter and a half at the most be able to birdie from there no on the very same hole downhill needing to get right stay right TR approach game highight of the round 17 we go next punen Shield five back with two holes to play possession of on 18 K SG all by s in second and then things came a little unglued the hybrid Center to that really Rocky stretch of rough couldn’t clear [Music] it C almost remarkably consistent 68 68 68 and 12 is her score it would be a double bogey for Kim Su G so she will start tomorrow four back
