as the United States of America adopted the flag of United States okay um so June 14th 1777 is when we did that and in 1916 President woodro Wilson issued a presidential Proclamation that designated June 14th as day so we’ve been doing this since 1916 and it was officially established by an act of Congress in August 3rd 1949 okay so do people get the day off for Flag Day no not even close so we
