welcome to the interview Patrick Klay one over 71 Patrick just a a little bit about your round today yeah I thought I played well today uh the golf course was very difficult it was a lot firmer than it was yesterday um and I think it’s going to be a challenge the rest of the weekend I mean exactly what we expected heading into the weekend obviously put yourself in good position what’ll be kind of the game plan um going into tomorrow yeah I think it’s really important to play from the Fairway um I got off track on a few holes and it’s tough to get it back in position um you know I think this golf course is going to play very challenging over the weekend especially with the forecast that we have so being smart and being patient um it’s inevitable that there’s going to be some mistakes made but that’s just part of playing US Open we’re going to open it up right here re rex on the left P you said yesterday that you’ve been working on some things recently and I’m sure you don’t want to go into a lot of detail but can you just give us maybe the cliff notes version of maybe what you’re working on and how comfortable you are in that process right now yeah I’ve been working uh just on some technical things in my in my swing my swing got a little longer at the beginning of the year and uh so just tightening things up a bit um nothing out of the ordinary uh feeling pretty good and um I’ll continue to work on those those fields stay on the left Patrick you’re in a good position going into the weekend what is the strategy now is is this was this your goal at the start of the week to be right up there nip and Tuck yeah of course uh same strategy um like I said this golf course is going to be very challenging over the weekend and so being patient and leaving the golf ball in the correct spot and really being methodical out there that’s what that’s what I’m going to try and do anything else for Patrick up here back right Will Patrick was there an example of conditions encountered today that showed how different the golf course was playing than yesterday yeah I think eight and N um the areas to leave your golf ball or or land your golf ball are probably half as big today with the firmness uh than they were yesterday especially nine my ball was maybe you know I hit a good shot but my ball was maybe a yard from going over the green and having 20 yards back um so the line is very very fine around here just a yard one way or the the other can be uh a dramatic difference stay on the right James sort of a weird question for you Patrick but yesterday uh Brooks K gave an interview and he said he was frustrated by the lack of creativity from some of the questions he received I’m curious if you share that opinion I don’t I don’t think about it much uh I’m probably happiest when I get golf questions fair enough anything else for Patrick thanks for your time good luck tomorrow all right thank you [Music] ch1 ch
