Cory Connor’s even par 70 one under for the championship Cory can you talk about your start today which obviously you had a double Bogey and how you overcame that yeah not not an ideal way to to start um yeah got myself in a in a tricky spot there around 10 after a poor 3-wood and um yeah just knew there was a lot of holes left to be played I knew it was going to hit a lot of good shots the rest of the day and just Tred to be patient and um just kind of plot my way along certainly didn’t want to try and force anything right away but um you know made made some pars and I think Birdie on the 15th hole kind of settled me into the round nicely to kind of get things on track nine has given a lot of people trouble today I don’t know if you know that or not but to hit that shot in there talk about that yeah it’s a great way to end the day um wouldn’t say I necessarily had you know my stuff all day with with the irons um hit a lot of solid ones but you know just tried to be aggressive there um it was a good you know good number had to hit a pretty solid eight iron and um yeah fortunately uh had a pretty good result you mentioned your irons weren’t uh perhaps as they normally are what was it that was working because you seem to be in a pretty good Groove there for most of the day yeah I mean I think I was you know I wasn’t thrilled with some of the the iron shots that I had but they weren’t leaving me in in too difficult of spots um you know was able to find you know the right areas of the greens for the most part um not really put a ton of stress you know it’s certainly a stressful golf course but um you know Managed IT Managed IT okay just just found was maybe a teeny bit off with some of the strikes and some of the distance control is the second day with an early double is was it frustrating or uh how are you able to get past it yeah it’s I mean if anything it’s motivating to try and you know recover I guess but um you know this golf of course like said you can’t really Force anything um just have to be patient and try and take advantage of opportunities when they presented themselves that ninth hole you mentioned the shot did could you see it from where you were like you knew that it stayed up because it was hard to tell and there wasn’t many people back there to give you a noise yeah I could see the I could see the ball it looked like it just ended right behind the flag stick I heard a few you know people uh with some excitement uh for it nearly going in and um yeah I could see it sitting just behind the hole M just made an ace right behind you there um the course how did it changed since yesterday and what are you expecting for the weekend yeah it maybe firmed up a little bit um today it it was certainly a hot day today um expecting it to continue to firm up um I found the greens you know started to get some growth later in the day and and maybe slowed down a little bit um you know left a few putts short that I thought you know hit with pretty good Pace uh but uh expecting you know to firm up a little bit more but how it’s playing right now is fantastic it gives you the opportunity if you hit a great shot you know you can get rewarded but um you know you’re still really Penal so I love the way that the course is playing now and hopefully stays fairly similar last one you’ve been in the mix uh a number of times at major championships what what makes you more ready to win this week perhaps with your game and and with yourself yeah I feel like I have a lot of confidence in my game um you know it’s it’ll obviously be a a big challenge ah Hadad this weekend but you know I’m ready for it and looking forward to it right thanks thank
