Raleigh no I’m I’m at the media center in uh in Pinehurst North Carolina the village of Pinehurst as they keep saying um and uh it is hot it is hot yeah the Cradle of golf you got it it’s hot it’s hot it’s gonna be hotter this weekend I think 35 35 Celsius I’m in Canada so I’m I’m cha you’ve seen the Discord today maybe not but I’m putting everything in Celsius and blowing people’s minds um what is 35 equate to uh times 1.8 plus 32 so around you know it’s close to over 100 yeah it’s going to be 100 here for sure yeah yeah the uh I’m getting okay a number of things I’m so excited for this week I am so quote dialed unquote in oh I’m dialed like AT&T this seems too easy for me and uh I’m just teasing things out in the Twitter sphere to see how people react y we’ll get to that in a second okay um but there’s a I’ve never seen well it’s golf you of course I’ve seen this uh chances are chances are You’ seen people have differing opinions in golf on Twitter chances like no other sport it’s unbelievable there’s the mindset that it’s bombers and then there’s the mindset my mindset that it’s more around the green touch and putting this week you have to be pretty deaf at those things yeah um and I think that in a what’s the over under in Vegas right now four and a half for finishing score okay These Guys these guys are gonna have to make some par saving puts and be pretty handy around the green like I think the assumption is that oh he’s playing great with his irons he’s a great iron player you’re hitting this stuff to two feet this isn’t the John Deere classic so at some point you’re gonna have to scramble so where are you on that theory right now I am here to dispel all the rumors Perfect all right going going in going into this week before I got on property yeah u i I was with everyone chalk it up to we were talking about long iron approach play we were talking about around the green play and of course we were talking about total driving keeping the ball in play so here’s what I see as these guys play their practice rounds right um total driving would be great but not everyone’s going to keep it out of the vegetation it’s just not going to happen the golf course is too long you’re gonna have to pull out your driver and all of these Fairways are like runways at an airport they’re like a Tarmac they are so hard it’s almost impossible if the ball has any sort of Sid spin in it to keep it out of all of the vegetation for what 14 2 for 56 drives right it’s just not going to happen so yeah it’d be great to have a great total driver but at some point that guy’s gonna need to save par because he’s gonna punch out of the Bush and then he’s gonna have to get up and down from maybe 100 yards or something or he’ll get greens side and he’ll need to get up and down so there’s going to need to be a little bit of extra emphasis on around the green play now fast forward to the approach players I walk with Scotty this morning second hole very difficult perfect drive this guy laces probably right around 200 yards he laces like a six or seven iron he hits this thing as good as you can hit an iron as good as Scotty Sheffer hits an iron right now and he’s got it up there inside 20 feet to the pin which on the second hole he would take four pars and walk away all week and he’s the number one player in the world and this thing rolls off the green and I’m like wait a second you can’t hit it any better than that guy just hit it and the green didn’t hold the ball right now that’s that’s not to say somebody couldn’t hit it worse and skank it up there or whatever but like in both those scenarios you’re chipping wedge out right you are chipping right to save par so now all of a sudden it’s like okay uh Keith I’m gonna take these great long iron players that’s fine but if you take a lousy long iron player he’s gonna end up in the same Swale as Scotty Sheffer and they’re both and they’re both gonna be chipping or I’m gonna take this really Elite driver like Colin morawa who always hit Fairways and everything and then I’m going to say no I’m not taking this other guy who tends to hit it in the weeds but then they’re both going to end up hitting in the same Swale when the ball runs off the green and they’re going to be chipping so I’m here to tell you that if you’re not complet if you don’t fill your card or your DFS team with guys that can get the ball in the hole from 50 yards and in then you are making a major mistake this week this place is so crusty right now and it’s only going to get hotter and yeah humidity will come and that’ll help a little bit but there’s only so much they can do to water this place it’s a sandbed soil this thing is terrafirma it is unbelievable it it is so hard right now and the amount of work that these guys are putting in trying to figure out what kind of shots to hit around the greens they’re putting they’re using a hybrid they’re chipping they’re using they’re us is anyone working their driving as much as their short game right now or no they could give a about their driving and they could give a they could give a about their iron plate I’m telling you right now like you have got to load your team with guys that can get the ball in the hole and then you got to have guys that are going to be able to make like 12 foot putts because then when they do knock it up there and it just continues to roll all over the place right then you’re going to need a 10-footer to save par I mean this is what you’re going to have to do the USGA they they they had two 62s in the opening round at Lac that is not happening here no there’s no way there’s no way they’re angry now tell me this if you had one player in the field who you said you can take one player with the best short game and the most clutch putting and best putter on Earth right now both yeah with guts all and the major with serious St take who’ you take and with a great comp win right don’t forget 2022 this individual he had the best comp win and he also won a major over the number one player in the world on the back nine on Sunday because he stared him down right I’ve been talking about this guy all week right and here’s the thing right right he’s business in the front and he’s party in the back so if the driver gets a little loose like his long hair in the back that’s fine but when you go to the front baby that guy can score he is all business he’s GNA take he’s gonna take care of people this week you watch say his name Keith say it you know who it is from the sand belt of Australia cam Smith same sort of turf 7% project ownership I’m getting hammered on Twitter they’re laughing at me they’re saying his 80 at the Liv Houston on his exhibition tour which he give two shits about you want the most gutsy player who has the greatest hands and the most clutch putter in the world I watched the 20 what 14 fourth round course hasn’t changed too much and it was it was firm and fast and Rory was melting because he couldn’t make putts and I said that’s enough I’ve seen enough cam Smith is winning this tournament first of all 2014 was soft compared to this okay that’s why ker was able to do what he did and he got very lucky every time he hit it in the bush he had a great lie right that doesn’t happen everybody else DJ all those other guys day they they were all up there Keegan you know like every single one of them got screwed at some point and they’ve only added more vegetation along the landing areas and around the greens so I mean if you are not I’m telling you like you’re not not freaking here I am here this thing is like playing on a rock right it is not a smooth surface the balls are going all over the place these guys can’t control a single thing they can’t do it are they upset about it or have are they are they mad about it or is there I mean thisth seem to say this is exactly how I want to play it this is exactly the course I wanted I mean in 2014 you know they were up there Adam Scott was up there I love Min Le this week these guys love this oh I mean you know so everyone’s gonna be like Oh shot 80 at Live or whatever oh so we’re GNA take Brooks all of a sudden because he shot Seven under on Sunday like you’re just not listening and you’re not here and if you are here then you’ve seen it and you’re not arguing with me right answer that question answer this question because I’m tired of answering it Antonio’s a good guy by the way okay so um what’s the say he has to use driver it’s so firm and fast that’s question number one I have for him question number two is if you were here you would know that the fairways are lined with the vegetation if you hit it way offline then you just go into pine straw on the trees yes he’ll be punching out but you know what other people are gonna miss Fairways when they do they’re gonna have I mean unless you’re here and you watch these balls react during the practice rounds you’re you’re just not getting it right you’re holding on to this ideal you have in your head of what you think you see but you’re not experiencing it I’m telling you this thing is like way out of control already it’s yeah it’s completely crispy here and it’s only going to get worse yeah they were saying 13 and a half stim on flat surfaces on the greens and uh I mean that’s it’s nuts I keep seeing guys that are really good Putters putt the ball off the green and they’re not doing it to go then like walk down there and Chip if they put some of these pins on some of these like outcroppings of these greens these guys will only be able to chip to them and then then they stand the chance of putting it off of it again right so you think a plus four I A minus four winning score type thing I I still think these guys are the greatest golfers in the world so I think it’s between one and five the winner unless somebody goes like completely nuclear and they make everything like ker did and they get Super Lucky but man oh man it is literally a coin flip if you hit it if you hit it 10 feet five feet off the Fairway so who does that eliminate for us at the very top you hate Rory from 50 yards in well Rory is not bad from 50 yards and in he’s an open champion and everything but what I don’t like about Rory is that you know he his Miss right now and what I saw last week in Dublin Ohio is that he still got that long left Miss right this is a classically designed Golf Course Donald Ross all right I spent 23 years of my life as a club professional and I worked at four different clubs 11 of those years were spent at two different Donald Ross golf courses okay I live there uh Brer Country Club up in West Newton Mass and then Warwick Country Club down in Warwick Rhode Island all right shout out to Rhode Island not a road or an island go ahead I I’m just telling you I know what these golf courses are like Donald Ross is one of the best ever and what he did was that you’ll hear all this about switchbacks and Turtle Back greens and all this other stuff and everything all you need to know is that all of his golf courses right I mean oakill is the same designer as this right the guy was a genius and he was a genius at one thing and that is preserving par he makes it impossible to make birdie and he makes it super easy to make bogey so if we go out there and I’m a scratch golfer and I’m fighting for birdies it is so hard for me to do that right and I end up with a lot of pars now on the opposite ma home a lot by the way on the opposite side of that coin right let’s say wy’s a bogey golfer we’re both in the same chipping Swale I’m trying to get up and down for par right but all you do is you just take your putter out you whack it on to 20 feet you two putt you make bogey like again he’s so good at taking these situations and making these guys make really really objective decisions and they they hate doing that they just love to know like what’s gonna happen to the ball and there’s there’s going to be so much unknown in all of this that it’s G to be super frustrating and this is why these guys hate the US Open because it’s just too darn hard It embarrasses them there’s going to be people ejecting out of this thing like we’re filming Top Gun 3 I mean cockpit is going to be flying dude it’s going to be unbelievable you’re going to see a guy just cruising along you know it’s gonna be like Rico hoey tomorrow morning it’s be like oh my God Rico ho you’re gon see all the all the tweets coming out he’s three under through four this thing’s over you know like this guy’s first round leader right and the next thing you know you’re gonna look back like an hour later after doing work in your office you’re gonna be like Rico ho shot 80 yeah you’re like what just happened right like and I’m I’m just saying I know he plays early so I’m not picking on him but it’s just an example of this is how much this is going to happen this is this is survival of the fittest this is just get through and then him up with like a long answer for Rory mooy by the way because you’re saying he’s a case of the lefts or poles what were you saying yeah he he’s just hitting it okay so so Donald Ross as a classic designer back then the big the big two misses were long left and short boxman too apparently what’s that look at read the comment [Music] what Dre C obviously he was alive when when Donald died in 1948 that’s neither here um so you know like his ex-wife so yeah oh geez the ghost of his that’s I mean it could be I mean what’s that website like family tree now or something family tree.com anyway I I mean I don’t want to insult anybody so but the point is is that Ross was just so good and and long left and short right are the two worst misses on all of these greens and Rory’s got the long lefts going it’s going to be tough I I just don’t see it and where Rory is great is when he can drive the ball like he does at qu Hollow and this is the opposite of that right and I that’s what there’s two things I don’t put stalk in um at Majors I think I think I question lead in form because a lot of these players who are just you know either major winners have so much money I don’t put lead in form on the live Houston at all on my register I don’t care if Cam Smith shot 80 that’s a benefit to me he’s s% projected owner sh that means what are you even talking about live who where right who won who won who gives a nobody cares nobody cares nobody cares right if the geks won it’s a far well no and but the whole point is is that like the guys that are even in that League don’t care it’s obvious they don’t care yes but 93% of the people in the field at at right now on DraftKings in the million million dollar contest are not playing cam Smith I’m like perfect fine um like Colin morawa to me I think 30% of the field close to will play him I don’t like morawa this week I just don’t think he has the same you do I do yes I do I don’t like havland I like morawa no no hav no havland no Hatton might kill someone this week if things go wrong I I like hat I like Hatton this week I love Hatton this week I do Hatton so here’s here’s the Hatton scenario that we want come Sunday we wanted to be like five groups from the end he shoots like 67 and he jumps a bunch of people and he’s in like a half an hour before or 45 minutes before the leaders right um if he’s in the last group on Saturday then I’m selling that ticket right like you know he he’ll go mental but like if he could just be quietly under the radar he’s not getting press conferences all week and he just kind of does his business he has the perfect skill set for this you know he’s he’s an impeccable ball Striker off very very firm surfaces right yes everyone everyone uses this like they’re like well at my club like nobody go right if you want to know get bad go if you want to know what it’s like to hit this go out to your driveway drop a golf ball on it and you tell me how easy it is to hit a golf ball because that’s what they’re hitting off of that is literally what they’re hitting off of and if you miss by the slightest bit you are cooked because that ball will have no spin on it and as soon as it hits the ground it is gone right it is gone right and then you’re chipping and then you know like snow who are the guys that could hit the ball like that well you’re talking about the guys are in the best form right now like like am morawa like kid like the kid like Xander like Scotty right I mean those are the guys that that you really wanna like a hat you know like um those are the guys you really want to lean into because like a Keegan like a Russell Henley like uh hey don’t say Keegan why did you do that I’m just saying he’s hitting the ball really good really really good really good no I mean I mean for me like uh Scotty’s likely winner right I mean you probably have a majority of your lineup Scotty or at least minimum one of like a Scotty and a Xander or a Brooks or I like Bryson too I think I mean I I have an argument of why I didn’t take I didn’t go single bullet Scotty but why Scot Scotty well because there’s so much luck involved in what we’re playing this week right so we if you didn’t take Scotty last week you missed the boat I mean there was every precursor there that you take Scotty single bullet and then you just run with it the guys gained like 12 Strokes against the field the year before and lost 100 with the putter right but like he went right back to the same golf course in the same hard and fast and firm conditions but he had like bumpers around it like when you take your kids bowling right and there’s no gutters right so then like he was able just to knock it around the guy made triple and he still won right so that was that was the time to take him now this week it’s a USGA event luck is gonna play a huge part in all this right there was a question in there about Scotty’s putting Scotty’s putting will be fine you know I talked about this with Pat he asked me a question he goes how grainy are the greens going to be the greens are basically dead okay it’s like it’s like putting yeah it’s like putting on lenum right there is no grain or anything there now the the areas around the greens with all that Bermuda um they are very grainy that will determine the types of shots you’ll see the guys you know if they’re into the grain then they’re not going to be able to get the ball up high because the Leading Edge of the club will grab and all of that so like you’re GNA you’re just need again more around the green Acumen but that’s a theme here but um you know putting is going to be basically like putting at Saw Grass like on that poet triv Alis overseas it’s just going to be perfect greens they’re gonna be perfect you know and um that’s Cam Smith said he said the best greens I’ve ever played in my life on tour on any tour yeah answer this question because our Discord by the way run pure Sports our Discord is out of control Keith save us save us because you know we talked about you know shot makers and Putters and now spee is going out of control um this is the best case scenario for spe and I still wouldn’t take him but this is the best case scenario for him because he’s gonna drive the ball really well his his approach game is atrocious it was awful last week I wrote a whole article about it I even quoted Charles Dickens right I mean it was the best of times it was the worst of times um spe will need all of his magic beans there’s no doubt about that and the reason that I won’t be totally off of Jordan spe in the Discord is I would just say well this plays into his hands because he’s that good of a wedge player um but as far as the approach game goes he’s gonna be missing greens just like everybody else so you better hope he’s having a good around the around the green week because you there’s there’s no way you could justify taking Jordan spe if you’re favoring a approaching your lineups right I’ve watched it three of the last five weeks live you cannot this there’s no way you could justify that argument I don’t care who you are in the Discord I don’t care if you’re Jesus right and you have the you have the power to create Miracles you’re not fixing that approach game right now it’s not happening so uh what’s that great Putters will Spike on this course not as much as great chippers M Hughes baby he’s got a both I mean Matt so mck Hughes is the perfect example um you know there’s a guy whose approach game is horrible and you like to me he’s more like a rich man spe right now because he’s hitting it at least good enough to get it around the green and have it roll off in the right spot then he will get up and down from there you know you got to remember something when you keep the score this close to par then all of these guys that are great scramblers become extremely relevant yes extremely relevant you are just going right into their wheelous and that’s why cam Smith is talking to himself and saying like this is perfect I want Mayhem I want people in bushes I want all this stuff because I’ll I’ll win you got them that’s right because if we’re all if we’re all up like there there’s no one more creative than uh than Kemp Smith I mean a guy who saves par a lot too is Max h i kind of leaning in him a little bit yeah I mean and Max’s Max is a pretty Savvy Play Because Max’s misses aren’t AR aren’t ever terrible right you know like he’s he’s he’s good like that so uh um and you know what’s got him through this season has kept him at the point where he is on the FedEx Cup standings is his Putter and his chipping so dude Hideki this this screams Hideki right now as long as he doesn’t withdraw at 6 am tomorrow stop you know moving I mean um the good news the good news about Hideki is that there’s not a lot of local Thunder on him there’s not a lot of attention I know there is in the betting world but nobody here in this media center pays attention to that right like I’m the only one and of course you know like well I’m the only one in here that has a credential that does full-time betting so like it no that’s not true the PJ tour guys are here too from golf B but um they’re not looking at things the way that I’m looking at them they’re looking at them to are they doing betting whatever they’re they’re doing biopics on John ROM right now in his foot um yeah flip is there anyone is there anyone that’s been completely forgotten that from you know has not been hitting the ball well that you would sort of resurrect and I’m thinking here are the two names Patrick K who’s who are who are really good around the green Patrick Klay and Justin Thomas who no one is gonna play No One not a not a soul on Earth if you gave me a hundred shares to invest on those two people I would spend 90 of them on JT no based on what you’re seeing well it it’s just this place is going to suit his eye tremendously he is he no matter how bad he plays he is one of the West best wedge players in the world right Andrew Peterson did you hear that Andrew Peterson speak up at the comments buddy there’s there I mean the way he his arm speed delivery and everything the way he hits wedges is the way that tiger used to do it in his prime and obviously they hang out all the time he’s just he’s exemplary the way he hits a wedge JT is one of the best in the world now chipping and pitching or whatever cam Smith but if you a guy out to like 60 yards to hit a pitch shot I mean it’s tough to beat JT the guy is really really really good and um he has a win at TPC Players or TPC Saw Grass for the players right I mean does everyone understand why Saw Grass resonates so much with this place like do do you understand the connection here because it’s not just Martin kimer won like eight weeks or like six weeks ahead of time before he won here in 2014 you know he won the play in May and then then he won here he won the US Open it’s because Pete Dy who designed TPC Stadium Course right and this is why you know Harbor toown is equally as good Pete D served in the military at Fort Bragg in North Carolina back in 1942 to 1944 all right his commanding officer loved to play golf he used to drive him all the way all the way down to Piner number two to play golf all the time he spent six to eight months driving his commanding officer down here and studying the land there is so much Ross influence in what Pete Dy has done at the stadium course and all the stuff that Pete Dy has done it’s it’s unbelievable it just permeates through the whole thing I mean it’s the same thing with like do it’s the same thing with Gil Hans and all of these golf courses right so if you’re not paying attention to those to those players leaderboards then you’re missing out right and this this is why this is why every I mean this is why everybody is like this is the perfect course for Scotty because it is because the guy’s only guy ever to win back-to-back players like this is why it’s the perfect fit because everything that Scotty does totally fits here right and everyone’s G be like oh they don’t look the same like are you that dumb no like it’s yeah Pete die uses bulkheads and water and really sharp edges and this thing is painted by like it’s watercolors right it’s all messy and everything but it’s still it’s still the same diagonal P penalty areas it’s still the switchbacks it’s like you got to hit left to right off the te got to hit it right the left back into the green I mean all of those principles are still in play false fronts all sorts of chocolate Mound drops I mean uneven lies canting the Fairway everything you everything you need to do right it’s die loved Ross and that’s why this is so important to do this and if you’re in a million-dollar like contest like this is stuff you could truly hang your hat on right now there’s a bunch of guys that have been that been very good there so you got have to pick some but this is the type of theme that you need to run with if you want to be successful this week just put me on SEO Kim just this is conversation alone I was on the fence but and I’m completely back in sub sevenk sew C oh Mayo was all over he was all sew when I talked to him on whatever day we did the show he’s like he kept it was funny like we would talk about another thing and he’d come back and he in his way he would just interject so see Kip and I was like well yeah you you could say that for sure I mean see Kim on the on the PJ tour he’s top 10 in scrambling around the green and you know like Sans safe percentage the guy’s he he’s Exquisite with a wedge in his hand and the guy can line High ways with his driver so he’s a really good fit we will need you will need him to make some putts don’t get me wrong right but if you keep it around even par that helps him because he’s such a good around the green guy this one too Brian Haron um I don’t know I don’t know I just don’t know I I don’t see Brian Harmon playing as good as SIU Kim currently or sorry at least at least you know Brian Haron was second at the Players this year web simp web Simpson won it right yeah web Simpson had to qualify to get in here like don’t underplay that for a second like that’s important you know people like oh you know the qualifiers don’t mean anything okay go back to 2017 the first of seven um us opens for Xander shafley he qualified to get in and he he finished fifth so if that’s Thea if that’s the case where TD green right now is sort of neutral nzed a little bit little bit uh then T GRE ball striking is neutralized a little bit okay ball yeah sorry ball striking then then you have c t green incorporates around the green skill so I just want to clarify that uh then you have Phil and tiger down there right yeah they’re both here thoughts tiger no um you know obviously I’ve been asked this question a lot this week and um I’m the biggest tiger fan in the world but um I’m worried about the trend currently because it’s what like in the last two and a half years it’s like 47th miscut 45th 60th miscut right right like there’s just not enough reps and you gotta be your knives got to be sharp for this place now um he’s got a lot of good things going for him one it’s an easy walk and two it’s super warm so his body’s gonna feel the best that’s gonna feel in a major championship and he doesn’t have to climb a bunch of Hills like you did in the first two majors so I think the fatigue Factor um be the best it’s going to be all year because trun is most likely going to be cold windy and rainy and not going to be great you know um does he make the cut at plus 220 which is the numbers hovering right around there I’m just not sure I mean the top 60 in ties this is the toughest cut to make a professional golf top 60 in ties 156 man field um is really really difficult and you know I did the rankings for Golf Digest and it’s pretty easy plus five plus six cut uh average here has been plus seven over three additions yeah yeah but 60 guys goes quick goes really quick he’s gonna have to play he’s gonna have to play Above way above his ceiling that we’ve seen for the last two and a half years well who’s sneaky who’s sneaky down the board because like the the one chalki play that’s cheap is Bez right C Bez okay I’m trying to make a case for myself to not play him because I think I think low price chalk sometimes can really eat you alive um but who down low include CZ who who who off the radar cheap is someone he’d say you know what like JD Poston give me a give me a parameter on cheap what price tag are you talking about in DraftKings yeah um I’m gonna say is at 62 so that’s a good one I’m say 65 and under 65 and under yeah okay um 65 and under um McKenzie Hughes I mean Bez is down there McKenzie Hughes is down there um I don’t mind I’m thinking about who I’ve seen as I look at these names people are saying straa but straa can’t putt um you know there’s a lot of talk around sto and I saw that at 6500 I’m just not I’m just not there on that um I I think that um you know you’re gonna have an Eric Compton or a Jason Gore in this whole thing and is that Harry eggs this time arounds yeah is it is it him um man um Jagger Jagger’s got a great short game and he drives the ball well but I was really disappointed with the way he played at Memorial um so he was definitely somebody that I had my eye on but I was disappointed with the way he played at Memorial that should have been better for him it a Ry yeah I mean in the higher sixes you got some really good ones like Alex nor and Henley um you’ve got SEIU you’ve got um you know I mean Alex norin leads Alex norin and CZ are the top two guys in around the green acumen in the 6000s I think Alex noren could be top 10 here easily I think he’s the best priced 7K here’s the thing about Alex norren that that always fascinates me is that um at mirfield Village he was hitting some pit shots and some chip shots and everything and Xander walked over to him this is your current reigning major Champion right the last guy to win a major and he stopped norin and he started asking him a bunch of questions and then noren was kind of giving him a chipping lesson like a flop CH chipping lesson and I’m like how many times is the number two player in the world ask somebody for help right and I’m not saying that Xander was struggling all I’m saying is that Xander was curious on how he was doing what he was doing right and and noren was hitting these really really crafty shots these like high flop like Spinners and it was like even when I was watching I was like man how’s he doing that like he’s doing something there and it was like really it was really not like totally obvious to the eye um so it’s it’s one of those things where like I mean I I I think that he’s a noren’s going to great in matchups he is going to be great in U placement cards he’s going to be great in that goes against sheffler just winning by five you know um Martin Kimber won here by eight shots and he had the chipping yips okay putted every single time off the green that was his strategy uh the two guys I like the best at the top of the board are Colin and and the kid so Oar yeah yep the uh he hit the ball so good last week o so good oh God so pure oh so good and Colin very good uh plus Oar has got I mean he’s young but he’s got he’s got guts his his performance at the Masters was just so impressive only guy within seven shots is Sheffer he didn’t give a he’s like it I’m I’m ready oh um it’s funny because when remember the remember the anecdote that you had that you were on the elevator with Martin kimer and Martin kimer said yeah I got shot I got no shot and that was like top 10 on Friday yeah I mean if you want to look at Liv Houston or live he’s been playing good lately he’s down in the 5K land if you’re if you’re building some lineups um I think I think you need to I think you’re going to go heavy on Scotty or double stud build you you need to have some spread out money on the 5K oh five and 6K range don’t go too heavy into anyone but yeah I would include kimer in the pool for sure y higs for sure I mean who’s playing better than Harry higs right now Scotty sheffler obviously K more CWA L but I mean the guys won twice in a row and then he went and qualified that’s you know yeah he got himself into the Masters the next year so um and he seems very comfortable with his game right now yeah he’s talking to everybody and just happy to play golf you know last last struggled since he’s come back um really struggled it’s tough I will say this Kyle um I I’m I’m sort of I like to do eyeball tests on these golfers I follow their Instagram accounts I just see what they’re doing their life and feno to me he’s got his family on the road every week he’s got 100 Kids uh I think he’s comfortable enough in life and one enough that he’s set for life and I really believe believe that his Focus if you talk about first-time major winners I think he focuses on this stuff I at 8100 I can convince myself he has the game for a place like this oh I I bet P now last week and he was what eighth or seventh yeah he was fantastic last week and I think F could top five this week uh fow is certainly somebody I thought long and hard about putting on my outright card 100% 100% yeah he’s he is very underrated when it comes to Short Grass chipping because everyone thinks like oh his putting is like he’s got no touch in his hands but he is a really really good chipper and Pitch he’s erratic off the tea if that’s neutralized a little bit um he’s got incredible hands he plays so well at Augusta National and uh he’s a much improved putter right like yeah I mean he’s he’s just he’s not a strong putter but like he the guy makes a lot of birdies he’s a very aggressive player um you know you’re kind of need to make birdies this week you know one of the reasons that I’m on Keegan is if you go back to 2014 is that he made the second most birdies of anyone in the field other than kimer and kimer won by eight so kyber made 17 that week and Keegan made 14 well Keegan made three less birdies and you know he lost by whatever what was T4 that year like plus one or something he lost by like nine shots or 10 shots it’s crazy like you you’re gonna have to need you’re G there’s going to be a need to score everyone on these hard weeks they they start thinking about saving par Bogey voidance and everything but but birdie or better is still really important and of course it’s important to DFS because you want guys that make birdies because it gives you points right so it’s it’s really important um I didn’t so I had it I had in my mind I had I had like three different guys that were at the end of my betting card fena was one of them the other guy’s been mentioned here in the um comments within the last couple minutes and that is what’s that tiits no um but if you’re thinking of Fitz who’s the other Englishman Tommy lad Tommy Fleetwood yeah very live here in my mind very very live yeah I I think I think he’ll win a major before he wins a PJ Tour event in my opinion I I’m with you there and and this one’s gonna be the most like one of his DP tour wins you know World Tour wins um yeah and I also think that somebody that is heavily under the radar but has been very good in these types of situations and has a propensity for winning or playing big in big situations who doesn’t kind of cower from the spotlight and that is the Tank Engine Tom Kim Thomas the Tank who’s playing exceptionally well played well last week too yeah not as good as the week before but like this is a great scenario for him to do well in a major all right so length is not like 100% needed there isn’t any thick long rough he’s incredible around the greens his putter is average but it’ll be good enough and his approach game is pretty solid so like he makes some bombs and clutch puts though I mean he’s like a MATC Hughes to me yeah I mean th those so those are just some people in the middle of the board that I’ve been thinking about yeah oh bear I I Masters you think o has the same game same touch on the green uh o is was a lot better last week around the green so maybe he’s been practicing more lately because he knows this is coming up I mean those guys know that stuff you know what I mean like they they schedule out what they’re working on but I tell you Oar oar’s amazing I love that kid man he hits the ball in 23 seconds from the time he pulls the club from scabin he he walks over that thing is gone flushed 23 seconds I timed it because I’m like how fast did he do that so I’m walking with him at Memorial because I’m I just love watching him hit the golf ball and that’s a big part of it he’s decisive he goes and he hits it and that’s really good for this scenario because like you’re gonna need to make decisions and if you’re fickle at all then you know the the trolls are gonna come out of the force and they are gonna gobble you up trust me because this place is wicked for sure o is O is ex extremely decisive and confident and I think he’s the biggest challenge to Scotty over the next decade don’t forget too he he has a ton of experience here he played the 2019 us Amer here he knows this golf course and he qualified for match play and he won his first match so he lost in the round of 32 but I mean that’s still four rounds of competitive Golf Plus a couple practice rounds here he knows this place under the under the toughest of conditions that thing’s played August right yeah yeah it would been like a microwave down here I mean it’s it’s brutal right now and it’s Father’s Day oh that’s a tough question because he likes both oh versus JT who wins Oar wow and he he put 90 shares of 100 on uh against kley kentley’s broken yeah I don’t know what’s going on there his plus seven miscut last week was it was egregious it’s easy right like he he could definitely just Posey up to a nice little top five for sure guys’s never finished worse than 14th at the US Open you know hard that is US opens are unfair by nature and the guy has made it work so I think he’ll be around I think it’s tough to win two in a row because that level of pressure will kick in come Saturday afternoon or early Sunday but I think he’ll be around for sure I think with these I think with these other studs they’re going to perform well I think Scotty will have to win at that price you know based on what’s what’s what’s around him from a
