Ben Hogan irons have been around forever but what they released in 2024 blew my mind their new PTX tour irons are actually four sets in one sounds crazy I know but the four and five irons are four-piece construction featuring a low center of gravity from a Tungsten weight and foam filled construction the six iron is a three-piece construction that removes that tungsten weight while the seven through eight irons adds titanium to lower the weight and keep the trajectory a bit lower as well and finally the nine iron and pitching wedge are a onepiece fully forged design that resembles a muscle back on course I found the trajectories to be extremely consistent something better golfers will love I got nice penetrating height with my four and five irons while I was able to keep the lower irons lower and under the wind I loved it being aimed at a more advanced player don’t expect to squeak out too many extra yards with these clubs and you better hit them in the center the best part for many is going to be the value for $899 you’re getting tore quality at a fraction of the price
