Nah ur good. If i remember correctlt he just steals a portion of your gained souls in the level. Killing him gets your souls he was leaching off of you

What u do
Ah u killed Gostoc. The worst thing you lost was a dragon smith stone iirc but don't worry, he also steals like 30% of runes from ever death in stormveil and iirc you can't get them back even after killing him when after beating Godric.
I mean the end game upgrade item is worth it if you do the full quest line. But if you want all your runs killing him before you defeat the zone boss is worth it, as a sudo bank.
In honesty not really worthwhile npc, unless you do the long side quest for it and remember to come back and claim the end game upgrade iteams….
It’s more that you’re going to miss a pretty important upgrade at the end of the game now
He has items you can buy at the end of a questline which are decently good like upgrade stone.
Dont worry you only lost a max level smitting stone but there are plenty per run in my opinion to still have max level weapons. Its not like seluvis where you can get locked out of one of the strongest magic talismans just for talking to the wrong npc first
