e e e e e e [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] n a [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] ladies and gentlemen the focus is on North America East yes Mak Some Noise we will find out who will be representing the men the women and the teams in at the CrossFit game push to the buzzer go all the way do not stop with a second to go this is her playground it’s an all gas no breaks this is her Jam they don’t quit they’re going to be a tough team to be you have got to move with a sense of urgency they came out here swinging we are in for a fight and that’s going to do it it’s a different head space to be in to this pretty much neck and neck right now it is the final day of competition at The Syndicate Crown in Knoxville Tennessee and at the end of the day we will know the 11 men and 11 women who will be heading to Fort Worth Texas to compete in the 2024 CrossFit Games thanks for spending your Sunday with us everybody I’m sea Woodland alongside former affiliate Cup champion Adrien Conway and Bella Martin has us covered down on the competition floor event number four the first of three events the individuals will face today we’re getting inverted we’re getting inverted and we’re going to be rowing fast this particular event ascends in the rowing distance four 6 and 8 and has some modulation in the handstand walking where they will go the longest in the middle and finish Fast what are the go Ruck steps to success got to be Reckless on the rower Sean you’ve got to actually row at a clip that you’re probably a little bit uncomfortable with and then you got to brace and breathe when you get inverted belly button in towards your spine as you recklessly walk on those hands nine women will be out on the floor for this first of four Heats in Lane number five that’s nicholet Tani she comes in in 31st Place overall with 72 points but again a lot of points on the board as she looks to move into the top 20 yeah and Tani almost a little special spot in my heart because she’s one of those athletes that’s competed both as a team and Indie and this year decide to go indie first of four Heats is underway and we start on the rower 400 m to accumulate here before a 96t handstand walk every second going to add up very quickly on this particular event when it comes to Transitions on and off the rower as well as that established Pace well hustle up is the official timekeeper of the cross’s semifinals you can scan the QR code on the screen for a CH to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting CrossFit gyms around the globe terms and conditions apply athletes looking very composed as we’re going to see the drive with the legs it almost looks like if we’re watching at home that they’re squatting away from those foot pads or foot straps they’re driving with their legs they start to hinge back with their torso and then they pull with the arms on the way back to the row it’s the exact opposite response you want to relax your arms hinge your torso forward and then bend at the knees we want that to be efficient you want that chain to go right in and out of that machine that’s going to help you get the best feedback for the uptick meters closest to the Cameron Lane four that’s Katie cure next to her in Lane three Logan filo Lo other end of the floor Dana Pon in the all black judge’s hand is in the air next to her Airline Spencer her judges hand in the air as well more judges hands going in the air to signify that their athletes are nearly done with that first 400 meter row and baron is going to be the first one out great job transitioning there by her getting her hands on the ground immediately and starting a fast walk 96 ft here they do not need to come off of their hands at the turn LeBron is over that green line and now she will make the return trip top of your screen in the all black we’ll talk about this a good bishan but you notice that arch with the legs those heels being forward or allow allowing them to carry their momentum forward faster but they still got a brace in their belly as that’s one of the steps to success you got to stay firm in your midline so you’re not arching your spine too much Nina bovic in Lane seven creeping up on piran then down in lane two Jessica Klean now bottom left hand part of your screen third woman to get to the rower and now 600 M yep before the longest handstand walk that we will face in the event 120 ft so it will be the far yellow line on the floor and back [Music] this is where discipline really comes into play Sean it’s so easy to fall into a trap of hey I’ll be on the rower longer maybe I should Pace this a little bit more slowly but the bottom line is that you’ve got to actually stay just as aggressive because now greater separation can take place on the rad closest to the screen Lane one that’s Bailey maraviglia and next to her is Jessica Kian in the yellow and black Kian a former team competitor in 2022 with cross it mayhem one of those teams and right there Sean we get a great Glimpse at that monitor noticing that 154 that is the pace per 500 met that she is maintaining and that is going to be a very important number for her because that’s what allows her to stay disciplined on what she established not just listening to her body but hitting a particular number and for her it’s like hey we’ve got a 155 Pace I’m not going to allow myself to go slower than this and this is something that I’ve practiced and I’ve paced time and time again A lot of times athletes will even choose to increase the speed if they nail it just right the deeper that we get into an event Dana Pon approaching that 400 met mark check in with Nina rovic now we notice there 2 minutes on the monitor so what this tells us is that she’s rowing at a slower Pace 5 seconds is what it will cost her per 500 M and Sean we know they’re going 600 M on this if we look at these two athletes side by side one rowing a 155 and one rowing a 2-minute pace that’s going to give the athlete in Lane 10 about a 7sec Advantage overall going into the next handstand wall keep an eye on the piran as her judges hand is in the air coming in 38th Place [Music] overall and two right about the same time going to be a race on the hands that’s what we want to see her second appearance at semifinals former Olympic weightlifter turned across it in 2019 and now she is leading this opening heat 120 ft on the handstand walk is now Klean and bovic are right behind her Kian got a no rep she’s got to go back to start this section she’s falling back into the third place nicholet Tani middle of the screen in the yellow top and gray shorts on the hand sand walking in lane four Katy Cort also in the middle of your screen yellow top black short out Dina bovic has overtaken Dana pan on the hand sand walk yeah bovic being a Mayhem athlete you hey we know they walk upside down quite a bit on their hands in her Pace right now look at the way she gets her hands to the ground very quickly a little bit more of a faster R and took a break there Adrian and now she is back and completing that second leg of the 120t handstand walk now the 800 met Row for goic in the lead on the row as pan straps in down in the lane two Jessica Kian still in third place rovic do an amazing job season of the moment there we know the pan took a break she did not slow at all now the one one thing that I noticed about pan even when she got back onto the row she took her time to get her feet set and she didn’t begin pulling on the paddle there’s a technique and we’ll see it right here in Lane number eight Lane number eight right there we saw Caroline Spencer take a seat put her feet in and then she started to pull on the rower at the same time while setting her feet pan waited to get her hands on that pedal and that really allowed bovic to have a solid lead going into this final row it’s not a big surprise that herovic is doing well in this event she took her first steps as a child in a gymnastics gym her mom was an Elite Gym this her dad was a European karate champion from Yugoslavia I mean sign her up for anything she’s pretty much going to be prepared for it all at this point I’m sure with Crossfit she just had to learn how to lift some weights Movic now on that 800 meter row as is the rest of the field this is the final time they’ll be on the rower and then it’s just one trip down the floor so green line to Red Line 72 ft to close this [Music] out we’ll take a look at the monitors of our two leaders on the left that’s Dana pan and on the right is rovic and this is similar to what we saw in the last attemp you know last effort on the rower where piran establishes Just a Touch faster Pace but rovic because she’s got a faster hand stand W she was able to make the difference between these two paces that they’ve established and right now we see rovic with the advantage simply because she got to the rower and got it going faster sooner just 72 F feet for the next handset walks just one trip down the floor so goic coming in in 34th Place overall looking to pick up some valuable points and creep into the top [Music] 20 the best event finish in the semi-finals event was 33rd last year T number four all these women doing a great job of showing consistency with their raring form a lot of times in in the Affiliates we’ll see athletes have a different style of stroke for fast workouts a different style of stroke when they’re tired different style of stroke when it’s long folks you should row how you row just like you should run how you run keep that technique the same and just adjust the intensity and the pulling effort hand in the air for n vagovic Dana Pon judges hand now in the air so looks like for is going to get a head start on piran on this final 72t handstand walk all right here we go and a big thing to take note Sean is this final walk they’re just going all the way to the Finish Line forage off first onto the handstand walk and here comes pan and Jessica Klean down in lane two getting set to finish up as well and now Kian is off by left hand part of your [Music] screen and N goic is going to go unbroken 72 ft she’ll pick up the Heat win 909 [Music] [Applause] unofficially Dana pan needs to hurry up because Klean is gaining ground dead even to the red line and Pon I think got it oh yes yes she did now in lane four Katie calor is in with the kick for good measure they got to get on that finish mat folks that’s what’s going to trip that timer and they got to get that foot across the line more athletes coming across the Finish Line in Lane eight that’s Caroline spenzer she is in down in Lane one Bailey maraviglia and now in Lane five Nicollet Tani is through two women still UNP competition floor in the all red in Lane six that’s Rachel fricker and now in Lane three Logan F Los kicking up for her final handsand walk 909 unofficially from Nina bovic is going to be your top time heading into heat too R’s going to take a break yeah prer doing a great job breaking there intentionally understanding she had to get her hands past the line so she could get her feet down reset and use that distance as an advantage now looks like she’s going unbroken to finish fricker is in Logan FS is the final woman on the floor here more than two minutes ago before we hit the time cap Sean one thing we’re going to notice as we watch these Heats continue to ADV Advance is the different body postures and shapes heels really far arched over the body head sometimes looking up sometimes looking down fer loses in and that will do it for Heat number one en go 99.44 seconds Dana pan just edging out Jessica Kian for second and then it’s Katy calor 5 Seconds ahead of Caroline Spencer heat one is down three remains stay with us everybody as action continues here on day three of The Syndicate crowd [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] uh there’s no [Music] [Music] n no [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] numbery Caroline plus l number five fista l l number six bar sers the women taking Center Stage as we kick off the third and final day of competition here at The Syndicate Crown from the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville Tennessee one heat is down three remain here in event number four the first of three events that the athletes will face here on Sunday I’m sea Woodland with Adrien Conway Bella Martin is down on the competition floor event for Rowan and hand and Waton that’s right Sean the the the event is fast and it’s a bit Reckless they’re going to row short then finish with the long row and the handstand walks going to vary in dist distance the middle one being the longest one let’s talk about the go Ruck steps to success they’ve got to be Reckless on the rower here they’ve got to sustain a pace that they’re probably a touch uncomfortable with in order to have success and then they’ve got to brace and breathe which means when they get upside down we’re going to see their legs all over the place they’ll be walking fast on their hands but they got to brace and breathe through their midline second of four Heats 10 women will be on the competition floor and in Lane nine is Carolyn Creo she may be the most decorated athlete in CrossFit she has 11 national championships in four different sports two of those came in ice hockey at the University of Wisconsin and in November of 2011 she became the 17th player in Wisconsin history to record 100 career points this woman is an athlete an amazing athlete Sean but finished 15th here last year and so she’s looking to get back to the Crosser games she’s hungry she’s got to move up the leaderboard today we are underway time to beat 9 Minutes 44 seconds from Nina bovic in Heat number one 400 met on the row to kick us off we talked about needing to be a touch Reckless on this rower and it’s going to be an important aspect for these women they are all going to be able to walk on their hands well not all great but pretty darn well and so this cannot be ignored they’ve got to drive with their legs lean with their upper body and P p with their arms they’re going to do their best to remain composed on this first row to establish a good pace and then we’re really going to see them have to start dig into round two and round three as the official Footwear and apparel partner of CrossFit in the CrossFit Games go Ruck wants to give your gym the chance to win the official shoe of CrossFit head over to goruck.com CrossFit and enter for the chance to win 50 free pairs of rough Runners for you and your affiliate well even start to notice the breathing rate and pace of these women as they start to execute we’ll notice Prost here driving through her legs really long in her Strokes on the rower that is going to allow her to cover a greater distance or more meters per stroke carollyn privo coming in in 28th Place overall with 92 points so she has some work to do here on day three to get herself in contention for one of those spots inside the top 11 only 11 women advancing from the North America East semifinal the 2024 cross game judges hands starting to go in the air Lane one that’s ashy wasney she is off and now Carolyn poo down in Lane nine will be second and Sean has a handstand walk by wasney in the bottom of your screen that’s a handstand run wasney can make the turn at the green line and she wastes no time all those sections need to be completed unbroken between the yellow lines if you come down in between a yellow line you need to retreat to the starting point of that section and redo it wasney no no problem getting through that first 96t handstand walk and then in Lane three is Reese [Music] littlewood 17 years old the youngest competitor in the field here in the [Music] semifinal prbo getting back into the rower to start the 600 meter row and there is Reese littlewood last year competed in the teenage division of the crossy game she finished fourth overall in the 16 to 17y Old division Phoenixville it’s it’s amazing what we’re seeing from these young competitors Sean and in in my Heyday it was amazing when I was competing 2015 is in our space we’d see someone come into space that was like 21 22 years old now that’s like that’s the middle of a lot of these competitors career now 17 years old on the field with some of the fittest women in the world it’s amazing least Reese littlewood getting some valuable experience here 25th overall with 96 points and Carolyn prbo was one of the first women done with the first 400 met row she’s now working on her 600 M after this it’s the 120t handstand walk Shan you mentioned all the records that she set as an athlete her very broad diverse sport experience she has got amazing work capacity and what I mean when I say that specifically is on anything that is a simple skill something like a row something like a bike something like a run she’s going to be one of the top athlete performers in our sport now mixing that though with something like the handstand walk we saw that’s where a few other women within this seat were able to chip away at her lead or the strong start that she had so I’m very curious to see how this plays out privo when she got upside down which we’ll reference again here in a bit and see how round two goes her feet aren’t as far in front of her Center of mass in the handstand walk meaning that she doesn’t Bend at the legs quite as much as some of these other competitors and to me that could be a place that could create more forward momentum and a faster handstand walk for her Ashley Wy is your leader and she is creeping closer to that 600 met Mark as you take a look at her Monitor and she absolutely sprinted on that fir hand sandwalk and she’s moving on the rower Shan a 151 Pace here uh this comparatively to what we saw on our last seat they were rowing about a 155 to 2 minute split per 500 m wasney is off [Music] St here and it’s going to be the far yellow line in back for her and she is the only woman on her hands Here Comes Reese littlewood now finally off the rower just saw her on the left side of your screen she’s in the background there in the pink down in Lane 10 sorry Adrian K enland and now Carol and poo also on the handstand walk that’s right and they’re going 120 ft total in this particular round this is the longest walk of the event Ashley Wy another former team team competitor at the games in 2022 she was 11th with cross at Oba this is her second individual appearance here at semifinals and she’s blowing the field away here in Heat number two time to beat belongs to Nina bovich at 944 as Reese littlewood is just about done and she’ll get into the rower for her 800 M and then down the lane 10 top of your screen the long gray pants that is McKenna enin we talked about what we might see here legs all over the place right it’s something if you come in with a gymnastics background and you’re watching this you’re like oh my goodness these ugly handstand walks folks we’ve dialed in a technique that allows us to project ourselves horizontally through space we’re not doing this for points in regards to the way it looks we want to be most efficient we’re walking for Speed 99.44 the official time to beat from [Music] [Applause] [Music] bovic and right now wasney is ahead of that pace McKenna enland down in Lane 10 in the fight for a spot inside the top three in this heat second appearance here at the semifinals or best event finish was 15th in test four that came last [Music] year McKenna looking like she’s very relaxed here driving with her legs pulling with her arms and that’s a great thing you want to stay as composed as you can in an event like this because once you step off that rower Shan it has got to be Reckless abandoned to get your hands on the ground and onto that handstand Lo and currently in third place on this final 800 met row before it’s just one trip down the floor Sean we talked about her being relaxed here look at her grip see how the transition as she pulls it into her chest it’s almost like she’s Loosely hardly hanging onto that rope paddle and then the difference here is look at little wood elbows are going back behind her body but look at the grip on the paddle now I’ll tell you what from what we’ve seen from little wood in regards to her capacity upside down this is not a huge concern for me here because what that tells me is that she’s actually pulling more aggressively than what we saw in Lane 10 from aenna insulin and this could be a thing that helps her get off that rower sooner a lesser handstand walking athlete than little wood here that might cause a little bit of falter but we’ll see how this plays out actually watch continues to be your leader and now 600 M of that 800 me Row in the books for her all right we’re taking a look here we got Lane three on the left lane one on the right oh Reese littlewood on the left and now look we’re we’re mirroring Paces but notice the distance these women are rowing about a 156 155 fiveish Pace that’s going to be a reflection of how long it will take them to cover per 500 M but they got to go 800 on this particular distance and we’ve got about a 70 M difference is what it looked like due to uh the athlete being able to sit down on the row or just a touch faster but they’re rolling the exact same Pace the wasney is done and now she just has to make it to the Finish mat green line to red line for 72 ft and we’ll see when littlewood gets off the rower Carol preo almost done as well wasley an amazing job keeping her head in a neutral position Sean she’s almost looking not down at her hands but almost behind her this saves her upper shoulders and her traps a tremendous amount of energy littlewood and McKenna enland are on their hands walks as Wy is in on the new time to beat 846 and now we got a good race for second in the heat Reese littlewood in the pink is starting to separate from McKenna enland at the top of your screen littlewood is going to come in she’ll have the second best time as he rolls to the finish and now McKenna enland is in for third Carolyn privo looking to be the next woman to finish one more section to go for her on the upper right hand part of your screen that is Lane five that’s kalista Lang as privo is done kalista Lang is in and now at Lane seven Ellie Hiller is finished up Caroline Kutz closing out her heat and now up in Lane number eight Briana Dunbar as three women are still working Dunbar is the only one of those three on her handstand walk now andison sudhoff in lane two is getting to work you can see her in the background there in the white top black shorts and at Lane six Mary Helen Saunders just getting off the rower for her final hand sand [Applause] [Music] walkon sof is in goes Mary hel Saunders [Applause] [Music] and she’s going to take a break both hands have to be clearly over that line in order for that section to be [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] completed and that’ll do it for he to 846 just inside 846 for Ashley wasy 84593 seconds re littlewood the 17-year-old will finished in second place in the heat as the top four times that’s right top three times coming from the seat as carolo was going to be Fifth and it was Ashley Wy early and steady we said it she was pretty much running on her hands Sean and we’re going to see a lot more of that in the Heat’s remaining but it was Little W that even pushed her towards the middle at a young 17 years old putting on a great display of rowing and handstand walking but Watley was able to hold her off specifically there in that middle round she sustained about a 150 to 151 pace which is extremely impress impressive she settled into a slower Pace in her lot of rounds and that was the put on a show here on the handstand walk and going broken through the Finish 84593 Ashley Wy the new time to beat halfway through event number four for the women heat three coming up next [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] l [Music] [Music] a [Music] he [Music] [Music] halfway through event number four the first of three events that the women will face here on the final day of competition at The Syndicate Crown thanks for being with us inside the Knoxville Civic Coliseum from Knoxville Tennessee everybody I’m Sean Woodland alongside former affiliate Cup champion Adrien Conway Bella Martin is down on the competition floor we will hear from her in just 1 second 11 women advancing from this semifinal to the CrossFit Games and right now Brook Wells is the last woman in with 198 points all the women in this upcoming heat are looking to overtake her for that final spot event number four Adrien time to get upside down they’re getting upside down and they’re also going to row and it’s going to start fast they’re going to row further each round and it’s going to be separate by those handstand walks that vary in distance with the middle handstand walk being the longest go Ruck steps to success are Reckless on the rower you got to start with a pace and finish with a pace it’s going to leave you breathless and uncomfortable when you’ve got to brace and breathe when you get upside down on those hands legs will be all over the place you got to be stable in the middle Lane assignments for this third of four Heats ANUK Greer in Lane 7even great day one for her as she worked her way up the standings and now within Striking Distance of that final qualifying spot from more on her here’s Bella Martin Anica has climbed out from that 34th finish in day number one from the Run she’s now in 14th going into a workout that’s going to be great for her she’s been right outside of qualification for the last couple years now training alongside Olsen he was able to punch his ticket already yesterday see if the youngster can keep up with the rest of the crowd and get into that top 11 position Elizabeth wizard is another woman looking to get into that 11th spot last year she graduated class n of the Indiana smoke divers and became the first female Indiana smoke diver wow congratulations to her on that achievement [Music] third of four Heats underway time to beat belongs to Ashley wasney 8 minutes 45.93 seconds she put that up in the prior heat and we start with that 400 met row so hustle up is the official timekeeper of the CrossFit semifinals you can scan the QR code on the screen for a chance to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting CrossFit gyms around the globe terms and conditions apply [Music] joined in the booth now by Lauren khil who called the action last week at the North America West semi fun how you doing it’s good to be back Sean it’s good to be here with you and Adrian and watching more athletes run on their hands that’s right running on their hands is certainly what we saw a little bit of especially in some of these early Heats Ashley wasy put on a show 84593 Lauren who do you like in this heat oo I like anaga and I like Brooke and both of them want to go to the GES Adrian so my eyes are going to be on them there is ANUK Greer who has had just you so many near misses when it comes to qualifying for the game she’s got 182 points she’s only 16 points back of Brook Wells for that final spot so Brook Wells has the Target on her back she’ll be in the middle of the floor now middle of your screen in Lane five had a really solid start to her competition back toback six placeat finishes in event one and two but then a 26 and a three is what dropped her into 11th Place overall and now she is out of the rower along with four other athletes oh yeah we talk about walking on your hands these women know how to do it Sean Brook wells in the middle of your screen pretty much running on her hands at this point monuk Greer is just slightly ahead of her Greer is going to be the first to make the turn Sheen Wells out front Ker’s got those light blue shorts on toward the top of your screen Shelby Neil is in the mix there as well she’s now in the middle your screen as Neil in the long blue pants and brookwell is back to the rower and all three of these athletes with complete understanding that the women waiting on the sidelines are going to be aware of the times they set here so they’ve got to continue to be aggressive it’s not just a race between three of them it’s a race between them in the entire field and Sean it’s going to come down to this row we just saw right there they can all pretty much run on their hands so who’s going to be willing to be the most uncomfortable on these rowers 600 me now on the rower before a 120t handstand walk these athletes are recovering in the ice Barrel athlete Chill Zone prepping their bodies for the final events to come you can head to iceb barrel.com to get your own and get 15% off with the code [Music] CrossFit we got a little eyes closed action by anakah Greer here now you can start to dream about a better place that doesn’t necessarily remove your physical body from the pain it is enduring right now it’s like the watch pot never boils it’s a the watch monitor never seems to take away meters like don’t look at the monitor when you’re trying to rack that stuff up because it’s going to probably be moving more slowly than you wanted to that’s right now there could be good and bad with this right maybe this is her opportunity to detach from some discomfort but equally I want my athletes to be so dialed that we don’t got time for this closed eyes thing I need you to be looking at that mod and dialing Pace down to the second so that you know you can beat the Shelby Neils and the brook wells off the rower in this type of event Shelby Neil is one of the women that anuka is chasing in the overall standings Neil is just one spot out in 12 Place overall oh yeah that’s about the pace you’d be roll right now RoR right Sean I don’t want to do anything on the unless it’s just chill that’s where I sit when I need a rest Sean look at this Lane five Lane seven we have got a head-to-head absolute battle and shootout those monitors were like synchronized when it came to a meter accumulation Brook Wells and anuka Greer that you were looking at Shelby Neil in the middle of your screen this is your top three right now in this third of four Heats time to beat 84593 seconds from Ashley wasney and now Brook Wells is off first followed closely by ANUK gri anuka being the shorter of the two and typically the advantage on an her going to the taller athlete I was very impressed with what anuko was sustaining there they are dead even Amanda barnhard was the third woman to kick up in her handstand she’s down in Lane number two we’ll keep an eye on her she’s got to pick up some points to move into a qualifying spot Wells and career done at the exact same time Wells makes the turn first and now has about a twoot lead on Ana both ladies I mean all three of these women right here in the middle of your screen you doing a great job using their total body to walk which means they’re creating momentum with their heels letting their legs relax Bend at the knee and that’s going to propel them forward with their arms Wells is in career is done and now here comes Shelby Neil in third top three remain the same bottom of your screen in the all gry that’s Amanda barnhard in lane two fighting with kloe go and David for four and right now Brook Wells on the same Pace as Ashley wasney from the prior heat now we talked about this a little bit the earlier Heats but Lauren this is the row right here that separates the women from the girls right to be honest with you well and knowing that Brook Wells does have more mass than anuka Greer she has to pull harder because anuka is just a little bit faster on her hands and knowing that this is the last one you almost have to just empty that tank to give yourself enough lead getting upside down 800 M here for this final row and then that final walk that’s only 72 ft there’s the we get some royalty in the house Sean Matt Fraser there here supporting Brook Wells an hwpo athlete always loves when we put him on screen it’s a big fan of that I’m [Music] sure huk Greer back to the closed eyes still focused hey we saw from the monitor when we got that split action it’s paying off for her she’s being able to hold herself accountable to the to the uh Pace that is allowing her to lean into discomfort but still be productive and allow her to succeed on her hands we’ll be able to take a look at the monitors of wells and career here in just a second we on the left Wells okay on the right okay and this is where it’s really going to be Big Sean we’ve seen this in the last two weeks of semifinals if you can walk and all things are equal we got Wells on the right with an advantage and a lead and a faster pace and we’re going 800 m here this isn’t the four and the six the more time you spend on the rower if you can capitalize which Brook well seems to be right now this is going to allow her to have a substantial lead getting off the rower top three on the screen Brook Wells first woman to get to the 800 meter row right side in Lane seven ANUK Greer was close behind her followed by Shelby Neil in Lane six so ANUK Greer looking to pick up points Shelby Neil we’re getting a smile from Brook Wells we get we we two we we got two different stories of body language going on here anak G eyes closed squinting a little bit of grimacing Brook Wells on the opposite side a brief smile giving her body that reprieve almost a sensation of Joy although yes I’m going to tell you right now she is suffering this is a very real battle that you got to face the the environment that you create for yourself will have a huge dictation on the outcomes 8 45.93 seconds is the time to be Brook Wells looking to get in inside of that she looks to hang on to that qualifying spot maybe even move up the overall standings and give herself some Breathing Room Sydney Wells and her mom there cheering on Brooke and Brooke is off first wow Lauren you better start smiling when you rope it’s all about the mindset Adrien I’ve learned that from you anuka Greer is off second at the very least Greer is going to pick up points on Shelby Neil no one is going to pick up anything on Brook Wells as she’s going to win the Heat and set the top time 836 unofficially and now ANUK Greer in in second with the second best time as she gets in ahead of W’s Mark of 843 Shelby Neil is across Chloe go and David rolls through barnhard and Jordan Chef are in kayin Sanders in Lane 10 coming across the finish and Lexi Neely is done Elizabeth wizard in Lane [Music] eight one of two women still on the floor Kiran Napoli is in the upper right hand part of your screen in the background she’s still on the row wizard is in [Music] Napoli still has a chance for a solid finish here because this was by far the fastest heat that we have [Music] seen come on yeah one one thing that’ll separate athletes in their ability to get upside down is body posture and position and right now even as as as we watch here and Lane is it who we got here Sean kol that’s so it’s her hands could be just a touch more narrow you want to think about stacking your body with the understanding that power travels in a straight line most efficiently if we can get her thumbs a little bit more narrow under her body it would allow her just to walk a touch more efficiently and Napoli is in 10 26 for [Music] her Brook Wells has a new time to beat 83672 seconds anuka Greer right now the second best time as she was 4 seconds faster than Ashley wasney but wow Brook Wells came out fast anak Greer also battling neck and neck almost this entire event both ladies putting on a great exhibition of how to walk on your hands and how to do it fast also under fatigue I mean the the accumulation of fatigue from both the rower and the handstand walk is tremendous here but it was in this moment Brook well sustaining a faster Pace on the longest row and of course sending her Positive Vibes to herself with the brief Smile as the camera was there to film her final meters to accumulation I think it put her off on a great foot had a great lead going into the final handstand walk and she did exactly what she needed to do to start day three but Brook Wells the top time 83672 seconds final Heat coming up next Lauren thanks for stopping by thanks for having me enjoy the rest of the day [Music] [Applause] [Music] n [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] Knoxville Tennessee 80 individual athletes came here with a goal at advancing to the 2024 CrossFit games but only 11 men and 11 women will get to stay on the road to Fort Worth Texas it’s the third and final day of The Syndicate Crown thanks for being with us inside the Knoxville Civic Coliseum I’m Shan Woodland with former affiliate Cup champion Adrien Conway and Bella Martin has us covered down on the competition floor so far it’s on it’s been all about the champ Tumi perfect through three events she’s perfect so far through three we’ve got three more we’ve seen her actually go perfect before Sean 2022 at the toan pro she is against an absolute monstrous field though here at The Syndicate Crown this weekend and I can’t wait to see what she brings to us here on aent for this morning overall standings coming into the day we still have 300 points on the board and Tumi 300 points already after winning the first three events Emma Lawson only 30 points back followed by Alexis raptis Daniel Brandon and paig semenza rounding at the top five we just saw Brook Wells improve her situation with the top time at Heat number three at 83672 seconds right now Wells would be the final woman to make it to the CrossFit Games event number four r in hand Sands they’re going to be rowing and it starts short and builds in distance each round we saw Sean how important that last 800 met row is and it’s separated by varying distances of handstand walk the middle walk being the longest the go Ruck steps to success anything changed for you nothing is changing here at all you got to be Reckless on the rower and even more so on the final 800 M and when you get upside down you’ve got to brace and you’ve got to breathe the legs and the arms are going to be actively working but you’ve got to be firm and in the midline lane assignments here we talked about Tumi possibly sweeping the one woman who might be able to prevent that in this event is Danielle Brandon she’s in Lane number seven for more on her here’s Bella Martin Danielle Brandon’s gone to the games five times looking to make it in six already in a great spot to be known for putting on a show on her hands but Adrian speaking of show I was already a fan of Danielle as an athlete but after watching the documentary she just put out on her life I’m an even bigger fan of her as a person now did you get a chance to watch that oh you know I did you know I tuned in and I’m a huge dbe fan by the way Bella nine wins on handstand walk events this would be her 10th if she can Notch another one some good odds everyone knows about Danielle Brandon not many people know about Lydia fish looking for her first ever CrossFit Games appearance her second appearance here at the semifinal she does have a gymnastics background and has two finishes of 10th place so far and sits in eighth place overall but everyone chasing that woman trying to go four for four here toui all right Sean what we noticed early as the women all take their spots on the row is that this 400 m does it matter absolutely but more so it gets even more important and Carries more and more weight the deeper that we go and the more time they spend there momentus is the official Sports Nutrition and supplement provider of fit momentus offers the highest quality third party tested supplements and nutrition designed for everyday performance you can use code cf20 or text 30493 for 20% off momentous product now Danielle having the ability in previous success she that she’s had on handstand walk events this gives her a touch more freedom to row even more recklessly than a lot of the other female competitors that may struggle more upside down or not have the ability that she does so it’s almost like win-win for Miss Brandon here with her opportunity to take an early lead and try to hold on for Place overall coming in there’s Daniel Brandon and I noticed this right away I’m so glad we get a beautiful shot of Tia here on this roller Sean she is pulling aggressively out the gate not holding anything back look at her breathing Cadence the way she’s doing a deep exhale as she leans back each and every repetition she’s clearing the lactate from her entire body with aggression and clearing face for the next breath she has got nothing but bad intentions for this event raptus to me and Brandon all off the road at the same time followed closely by Emma Lawson and it’s electus raptis looks to be the first woman to make the turn at that green line and she got a no rep she was not over completely that section she has to redo that section Daniel Brandon now is Your Leader along with at the top of the screen Haley Adams in Lane 10 she’s in the red shorts as Haley Adams and she’s going to be on to the rower first the Haley Adam Daniel Brandon and Tumi your top three as we head into the 600 meter row Sean and what I love most is yeah we watch Alexis raptus get a no rup but she recoups so quickly stay compost and still put herself in a Fighting Chance Sean Haley Adams this is crazy but since 2020 her Brook Wells they’re two and two when it comes to handstand walking matchups so we didn’t mention her early but we got to keep our eyes closely on Haley for this event Haley Adams has two second place finishes so far in this competition but she has a 35th in event two that put her in 10th Place overall coming into the day there is Alexis raptus third place overall with 249 points raptus did a great job again now we know her fault we know what happened she her both hands did not make contact with the ground potentially before her foot hit the ground she had to go back that means she had to walk an extra 12T in that early round but she was able to recover we see exactly where she gets off the rower in this round coming off the 600 M but that could be costly in her overall placing Alexis raptus is another woman we mentioned this with Anica grur who worked her way into the later Heats raptus did just that she’s gotten better with every event she started the competition with an 11th but since then a fifth and then a fourth in evet three [Music] yesterday now we we still see even if you notice here in Lane number five it’s like there’s just a slight difference with the way that Tia is aggressively finishing each stroke with her arms as she leans back and pulls historically Tia has had some success on handstand walk events but she’s never actually won one Sean so when it comes com to like her natural strengths that she’s got in her back pocket this isn’t an aspect of her Fitness that she really pulls away from the rest of the field so she knows she’s got to set herself apart on the rower judge’s hands going in the air here I believe Haley Adams on the right side of your screen her judge’s hand was in the air first but not by much so Alexis W as he talk about that no rep her hand was outside the lane yeah that’s what it was I appreciate you mentioning that Haley Adams is going to be off first wow [Applause] Tumi now in second followed by Danielle Brandon and here comes Alexis raptis and Emma [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Lawson Adams is done and she’s making the return trip here doing a great job using her legs cycling them over her body her heels leading the way so that her hands can quickly follow head in a relatively neutral position you see that she’s looking directly at where her hands are going to go each step Haley Adams is now done as she’ll move to the rower for her 800 met row and there is her cheering [Music] section Tumi sits in second in the heat 8 36. 72 seconds that is the time to beat as now Alexis raptus has pulled even with Danielle Brandon for [Music] third Sean haly has eight top five finishes in hand sandwalk events and eight top five finishes in rowing events and oh by the way these two just happen to be married together perfectly for her to start today on event number four yesterday she was on the outside looking in after that 35th Place finishing event too she fell all the way down to 14th Place but now sits in 10th and looking to move up the overall standings here with this effort and we know how important this final row really is so with these St about Haley previously knowing that she can sustain something quite uncomfortable we get a side by side Haley Adams Tia Clair Tumi what they’re able to sustain if these Paces pretty much mirror each other but Haley with the advantage because she sat down [Music] first Haley Adams with about a 30 m lead on tum here 800 met this is what they need to hit and then it’s the final trip down the floor to finish this off with the handstand walk [Music] Haley focused looking a little bit over to her right maybe checking on what she could perceive as the effort from some of the other athletes we see her coach and training partner [Music] there I see the BS in pink shirts of haly Adams on their feet waiting for haly to get on her hands there’s Alexis raptis who has made up some ground after that no rep and so much of this Sean is psychological and emotional games at work you know when you sit down on the row and you’re going to spend the the time there to accumulate 800 M with so much on the line for these women this is one of those things where you want to be able to reach and outstretch your potential capacity but if you go too far it will set you up for failure on the final handstand walk so it’s oh so important to have the selfawareness at the very highest level here for successful execution on the final stretch Tumi trying to put some pressure on Haley Adams here on this final 800 met row she at last check was about 30 m behind Haley and it literally looked like Tia was rowing faster just now Sean through the finish it looked like she picked up a bit of her physical expression which can tell us that it probably picked up her intensity on the row and the crowd erupting is Haley Adams judge’s hand is in the air now Tia tumi’s judge’s hand is in the air foram one thing that Haley has on her favorite too Sean a faster cycle rate she’s doing more Strokes than Tia’s pent pulling with more power Haley had faster strokes and here comes Haley [Applause] Adams 83672 seconds that’s the time to beat Tumi is off wow section for Haley Adams looking at an event win if she can get in the force is strong with Haley Adams 100 [Music] points the Tumi is going to finish in 8:41 which means Brook Wells is going to earn second place in the event Alexis raptis is in now Danielle Brandon Battle with Emma Lawson so Brandon is across followed closely by Emma Lawson Emma Lawson [Applause] what a race and what a finish there by Alexis raptus who got her hand out early and was able to recruit that deficit she created for herself Here Comes Lydia [Applause] fish now Paige simenza who has quietly had a very solid competition everything inside the top 10 so far for Paige an eighth to start the competition then a ninth and a sixth came into the day in fifth place [Music] overall wow now a good battle going on in Lanes one and two pie of Cofe and Caroline Stanley oh Caroline get thato is through pie of Cofe in the blue pants is in the lead Sofi is in and here comes Stanley holy moly event win for Haley Adams she is back back sha oh my goodness we had a race of all the races but it was Alexus raptus early who as you can see right there clearly with her right hand on the line prior to getting across that green line but she was able to recoup and recover and get back in the fight for a very strong finish but it was an early story about Haley Adams we talked about her having top finishes eight times on a row event top finishes eight times on a handstand walk event this couplet of gymnastics and mono structural together she also has great history with and she put it on full display today keeping a blistering Pace on the row and finishing all the way through in order to pick up her first event win back on track final results for aent four Haley Adams with 100 points she will continue to move up the standings Brook Wells picks up 97 and she’ll get some breathing room as she came in an 11th Place overall Tia Tumi that matches her career worst finish in an event at the semi-finals third place on a CER fourth that will help her cause and then Ashley wasney who had the top time from one of the earlier Heats will finish in fifth let’s go down to bell mar Haley congratulations on your third ever assist semifinal event win this morning everyone’s pretty happy for you you needed those points you’re very talented on your hands and on a rower does that make you feel any more or less pressure going into an event like this um I’ve practiced this event a little bit so I knew that I would do well at it if I executed my paces and what I knew I could do but I wasn’t sure where I would stack up but I was just going to do my best now we chatted yesterday about what a phenomenal fan base you have they have pink lightsabers they’ve got everything in the stands today as you’re on the rower are you looking in the stands for a little bit of extra motivation to get you to that Finish Line first yeah especially now it’s fun looking around and seeing familiar faces and just seeing people cheering for me and being happy and so that’s like super heartwarming and I love everyone here and yeah the support is amazing and on the Star Wars note give us a little bit of backstory who’s your favorite character and why Star Wars uh Revenge of the Sith is the best movie and you can’t change my mind um but yeah I’m a big Disney fan so I kind of fell in love with Star Wars through that and it’s just kind of my whole personality now so even Els May the force be with you Haley we’ll see you later Haley Adams I find her lack of faith in the original trilogy disturbing Hey listen man I’m going to tell you right now I’m 38 years old we sat down for the whole Star Wars series as a family for the first time this Summer Event four in the books for the women the men will be coming up next we will have light coverage of the first two Heats Adrien Bella and I will be back with you for Heat number three so stay with us everybody as action continues at The Syndicate crowd [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] a [Music] n [Music] [Applause] [Music] to [Music] hands in the air all down the line the guys making quick work at that first 400 and as Mike pointed out the marker indicating the turnaround point that green line you guys can see from your seats going to be that turnaround for the first 96t handstand walk and here we go popping up super fast jack farlo up and moving there in Lane number four one lane away Lane number five Jor Fernandez and a bevy of other athletes making their way but it’s going to be farow across that line first Hernandez right there with him then a few lanes away in lane two cette up and turning around as [Music] well farlo and Fernandez just about hand for hand Advantage going to farlo as he mounts back up on that rower just underneath that two-minute Mark gelol moving very very quickly as well in Lane number yellow line that’ll be the turnaround Point hands in the air right in the center of the AC where we saw it before farlo and Fernandez and in Lane number two cette your one two and three all the hands popping up around and right now though it’s going to be Jack farlo the first up and handstand walking blazing a Trail Jorge Fernandez for CrossFit mayham up and moving as well the race for third definitely live as coet at Lan number two and gelo in Lan number seven gelol passing Fernandez in a quick turn around Yates making a good run at it here in round number two as well down in Lane number nine farlo staying out in front one final big pull to go with that 800 met row but cassette and Fernandez threatening going to have to keep our eyes on Lane number seven gelena making moves here as we get deeper into this event he and farlo not far apart farlo jel off Fernandez and coet still a lot of points here for the final day of competition Larry going to be receding our athletes after this event for the remainder of the day the final two events our longest row coming up 800 M as we come up on the 5 and 1/2 minute Mark your top ladies finishing right around that 8 and 1/2 minute Mark see how the gentlemen Stack Up handful of gentlemen still in the mix as Brandon true back onto his rower for the final time Jack farlo Jorge Fernandez two of your top gentlemen Stefan cassette in Lane number two right there with them as well everybody within Striking Distance how they going to handle that final 800 meter row creeping up on 6 minutes and 30 seconds 13-minute time cap in place for this event these guys not going to need that time time cap on the back half of event number four that 800 met row followed by that last 72t handstand wall taking a good look at Jack farlo up there on the big screen you may be confused that’s not a Grimace or a pain face we call that a CrossFit smile that’s what that is farlo hands are up in the air now looking to stay out in front for that final handstand walk all the way to the Finish Line jela head in the air from his judge Lane number two Cosette you’re one two and three it looks like they will go into the hand tack walk but right now folks it is all Jack farlo making that trip that last 72 ft down the field of play Faro going to set that time to be beat gelena off his rower cette off his rower but right now it is farow with 5T to go and farlo finishes up right around 739 that is a good time gelol Making Waves as well pushing down Lane number seven he will come across the line un officially 749 cette that in Lane number two under that 8-minute Mark as well for MZ just past the 8-minute mark as he makes his way across Robert Yates now down in Lane number nine H with a solid time at the 8813 Mark for Robert [Music] Yates couple feet to go for lisio right around the 8:30 Mark Heat number one with some solid times farow setting the bar pretty high with three more Heats to go Lane number six Zack Levy he’ll come across Brandon true last inches and true wraps it up and all of our athletes knocking it out farow with a time of 7 minutes and 40 seconds that time to beat going into heat number two [Music] [Music] n [Music] oh [Music] [Music] m [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Music] know [Music] [Music] w [Applause] [Music] one minute [Music] [Music] stand by all right folks this is it this is Heat number two your first look at these gentlemen for this Sunday morning Sunday Sunday Sunday our last day of competition here at The Syndicate ground North America East semifinal going to break down like this a 13-minute Time cap in place for this event the fellas are starting on the rowers with a 400 m row once they’ve completed that we’ll see them pop up into do an inverted position and hand and walk down to where their Lane markers are at Midfield where that green line is they will make a turnaround and head back that’ll be a 96t handstand walk between the trip down and the trip back once they arrive back at the rower 600 M on the rower those concept twos are going to be a huming once they’re done with that a 120t handstand walk you will see the judges adjust those Lane markers out to the yellow line they’ll make the 60ft trip out and the 60ft trip back public school education but that’s 120 ft of hand stand walking they’ll adjust those PL the markers one more time at 800 met row and then a 72t straight shot to the finish and the guys are already done with the 400 m in the time it took me to explain the workout these fellas are crushing it Noah thank you Mr moss and Brad Wilson ladies and gentlemen on his hands followed closely by Ben Smith and a Casket of Fellas on their hands Larry this is going to be a quick one oh and a NOA for Brad Wilson’s going to push him [Music] back Nate aan ladies and gentlemen talk about a quick U-turn out of Lane three he’s headed back to that rower and he’s going to quickly get through that first hand S Walk and back on that rower 600 m in his [Applause] future man Nate the Great arrian at a CrossFit Mayhem what a quick turn on that handstand walk forcing the other fellas to keep Pace with him not only on the handstand walk but returning to the rower was part of the workout as [Music] well 2 minutes and 12 seconds elapse that time to be set by Jack farlo In Heat number one of 7 minutes and 40 seconds talk about guns blazing Larry so Brad Wilson from CrossFit Grand View was a the first off thrower but a no rep opened the door for several fellas to sneak past him and that charge was led by you call them Nate the Great acrian from crossford mayhem out of Lane three but the fact is we know it it’s not how you start it’s how you finish we’re going to see which one of these boys comes off the roller first passed 3 minutes and 5 seconds on the clock and these guys deep into that 600 meter row coming up Larry the longest portion of the handstand walk 120t total broken up into two 60t sections I expect we’re going to see a hand in the air momentarily again Nate arrian who has competed at the CrossFit Games in the team division previously in Lane three and sure enough that Jud his hand flies in the air but right behind him the boys next to him Jake Burman and Carrick Clark Larry you call him Nate the great is he going to be great on his hands under fatigue we’re going to find out out as we cross the 4minute mark acrian on his hands out of Lane three to his right Lan two gar Clark from Three Kings crossford also on his hands and to their left T Burman from training Think Tank your top three ladies and gentlemen LS three two and four acrian quickly back on his hands heads back to the rower followed closely by the fell out of Lane to Garrett Clark acrian Clark Burman plays three2 and four your leaders in this SE so far and acan will go unbroken yet again and head back to that rower 800 M to go for him the rest of the field now making those turns but arrian setting a pace that’s going to be very difficult for the rest of that yes you are to follow you are right Larry Lane thre’s Nate aan just about three or 4 seconds ahead of Jake Burman from training thing taking four and Garrick Clark is right there in the mix I think it’s going to come down to which of these fellas can power through 800 M the quickest and get onto those hands just past the 5 minute Mark gentlemen creeping up on 5 minutes and 30 seconds remember that time to beat 740 just over 2 minutes away 800 m a big chunk to row acran they’re in Lane number three Jumbotron got a good shot of he and Jake Burman Garett Clark also in that conversation as well there in Lane number two we talked about it earlier Larry even though the next handstand W component is the shortest distance it’s the longest continuous distance 72 ft and in previous Heats we’ve seen people have to come down they couldn’t go unbroken what’s going to happen here as Nate arrian Jake Burman and gar Clark the top three to the rower will come off we’re going to see which one of those boys can handle that 72 ft well all these fellas though they’re not just competing against each other but there’s two more Heats at athletes to go and we’re receding after this event so all these fellas looking to move up in the standings and throw down as hard as they can 6:33 on the clock again that time to beat 7:40 keeping our eye on the judges near acrian and Clark as well as Burman all those guys rolling through the first half of this event as we approach 7 Minutes Like Larry said we are flirting with that seven minute Mark gentlemen looking for that hand of the air and there it is Nate Daman out of Lane three wrapping up his final few of those 800 met on the road before he gets inverted next to him that’s going to be Lane for Jake Burman from training thing tank and sure enough Garrett Clark from Three Kings CrossFit the race continues between lanes three four and two ladies and gentlemen Knoxville Nate acrian on his hands jogging inverted we’re going to see if can go unbroken Larry boss here comes bman and Clark neck and neck ladies and gentlemen n Jackman is going to wrap it up unofficial 740 but the race continues between bbman and Clark clar and bman bman just about 2 feet ahead of Clark in lane four and he’s going to try to wrap it up at a lane four and he will do so grabbing a two spot in the Heat and Garr Clark across the line Mason and Wilson duking it out to be the next finishers on the opposite side into the force and it looks like it’s going to be Lane number six Wilson I’m sorry Mason across the line just ahead of Wilson Big Ben Smith wrapping it up cam Crockett and Austin Spencer simultaneous finish is going to have to go to the score cards for that one and Maas B all one finishes well under that 13-minute time cap wow what a sh so Nate acan ladies and gentlemen [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] final day of competition continues here in Knoxville Tennessee at The Syndicate Crown as the men are halfway through the fourth of the six events that they will face in this competition thanks for being with us everybody I’m Shawn Woodland alongside former affiliate cup champ Adrien Conway and Bella Martin is down on the competition floor 11 men advancing from the North America East semifinal to the CrossFit Games and right now everyone chasing Ben ban who would be the last man in both he and Jack Rosa are in this third heat so we will be keeping an eye on that battle rowing and handstand walking Adrien and they better do it fast Sean we open with a 400 meter row and it builds in distance each and every round with a lot of Premium on that last row and the varying distances of handstand walk with the middle one being the longest in duration what are your go Ruck steps to success they’re pretty straightforward but you’ve got to be Reckless on the rower here this is not simply a timekeeping modality in this event you’ve got to sustain an uncomfortable pace and then you’ve got a brace and breathe we’re going to see a lot of hands moving fast with legs all over the place but you’ve got to be firm and braced in the middle 10 men on the floor for this third of four Heats we mentioned Beno buan he will be right in the middle and right now that man is a Marked Man he currently sits in 11th place overall the final qualifying spot and Gan been to the semifinals now three times looking to get to the game for the first time in his career yeah he’s right here on this cut off line Sean and and and I know he trains on a regular basis with Jeff Adler so having that high level of preparation and competition on a day in and day out basis hopefully prepares him for moments just like this Jack rosema is just seven points back of that final qualifying spot Rosa another man who’s been a fixer at semifinals four career appearances that has yet to make it to the CrossFit Games we’re joined in the booth now by the man who is going to the CrossFit Games with Peak 360 guys won four of the five events Noah olon is here how you doing man I am great had a uh successful two days of competition with the team which is new for me it was a great time we did really well proud of our Squad and we’re excited to clean things up as we get ready for Fort Worth we were talking yesterday during the broadcast about how valuable this live competition experience is man what did you guys learn I that we need to do it a little more I think we’re going to put ourselves in a position to learn from that from now of the games let’s watch these fellas kick things off 400 me row to get us started top time still belong to Jack farlo 7 minutes 4.23 seconds Joo go and MLK are sending you to the crossing games in Fort Worth you can enter to win a VIP trip for two to the CrossFit Games VIP tickets to the games airfare lodging and a meet and greet with Joo willing you can head to joof fuel.com slvp trip to enter Count Me In signing up hey man why not Noah you’ve been in this situation many times as an individual competitor is there anyone out here that you look at it in the seat and you’re like okay that’s someone to watch for these for this couplet out here man there’s a lot of really really talented fellas in this heat and obviously we’ve got another heat of really good guys coming up um so that’s something they have to be aware of too when you’re in an earlier heat you have to know that even if you take an early lead you’ve got to keep hustling cuz there’s a 10 other guys that are coming for you in the next one I think in this heat I would be looking at Ben I think he’s got the experience of training with Jeff he’s a long guy too I think if you’re a great rower you can be successful here or if you’re a great handstand Walker either one of those is going to give you a little advantage and obviously uh being good it both won’t hurt hand in the air for ban and Rose him the right side of your screen keep an eye on Luke Parker in Lane number four as well Parker is in the mix right now for that 11th and final qualifying spot he’s only 10 points back at B J D St is off first ball by Rosa and then in lane two Alex Veno is up on his hands in the hole field now onto that first hand sand walk got to make the turn at the green line and head back green to Green then green to yellow and the final red is your stop sign that’s when you kick down and cross the finish line great strongman Lane three far left side of your screen in the black shorts no shirt is your leader followed by Jack Rosa those transition yeah those fast transitions are everything and we saw that with the women athletes as well know it’s it’s one of those things where as the workout continues to build and the more time that you spend on the rower you’ve got to be willing to suffer a little bit more it was like head to-head all the heat throughout the course of the day where it was like down to a split second on that round one and then when we enter the 600 it’s like just like we saw from earlier Heats Jack farlo he created a lot of Separation in this round of 600 specifically you definitely can I was just thinking contrary to that which might be the wrong approach cuz I haven’t tested this one myself but I think the 400 you come out ripping so that you can stay in that lead pass 600 I would think you settle in a little bit and then sell your soul on that final 800 met row great strong 15 Place overall he has 162 points he’s got to make up 31 on benois buan to get into that final qualifying spot of course it’s a man who has experience at the CrossFit Games on the CrossFit Mayhem team they’re talking to Rory McCaron earlier as well when Rory first moved to Tennessee he met Dre and Rory was trying to get the the lay of the land and he was asking about who does social media who does the website who does the merchandise and Dre was like well I do all of it and he was doing that and still training at a championship level at the same time multi-talented Dre and I are flip flopping this year he’s going from Team to individual and I’m going from Individual to team I wonder what transition would be harder Adrian I know you’ve done a little bit of both what do you think would be harder going individual to team or team to individual oh man they both come with different challenges you know it’s it’s it’s a mixed bag you know what I mean you you have the opportunity on individual to really be Center focused focused on pacing just like these gentlemen are here it’s all about them and what they can sustain but then on a team aspect and you’re experiencing that now it’s like it’s not about you it’s about how the other three are managing the stress the fitness and everything else and then we got to tie it all together and there’s a man who’s done both as well Luke Parker fifth on a team in 2022 made his individual debut at the games last year finished 28th overall just 10 points back of Beno buan Jack Rosa and Alex first two done with the 600 met row Here Comes Dre stom and now in Lane five Beno bu is there is anybody going to make up ground on these handstand walks I’d be curious to see that it’s that far yellow line in back now for the 120t Trek Rosa makes the turn we got a no ref for buan J the green shorts in the middle of your screen he’s got to complete that section again gr St and Alex venho are staying close to Jack Rosa and what we noticed earlier was Alexis raptus got a complete no rep had to go back 12 full feet and was able to reclaim her spot essentially because of how she rode so due to time spent in this particular event yes handstand walking matters the speed is extremely important but it’s this time right here this 800 me you have got to have had the fastest Pace in your tank in reserve so that you can sustain it for the longer amount of meters there is Jack Rosa the former Ohio State wrestler he’s got that look all academic Big 10 selection Ohio State scholar athlete in Big 10 distinguished scholar during his career with the Buckey right there on the verge yeah and rosma finished 13th last year he was close watched him compete in the elite division at w paloa this year this is a guy who it’s so easy for me to be like man I want Jack the Punch’s ticket I want to see him out there on the floor in Fort Worth he’s also spent time as a Jag officer in the Army that’s right it’s cool to see athletes that are successful in other sports transition into our sport cuz I think they bring a little bit a different expertise that somebody that’s just a crossfitter may not be used to Grace Ram is staying close to Jack Rosman who check in with their monitors right now on that 800 met row Rosa is on the right sc’s on the left that’s a big difference there a few seconds per 500 is going to add up during 800 me of row that’s right and then it does add up and Rosa already having a lead in regards to meters at typically coming he’s going to start to approach about a 30 m separation here real quick away from Andre that being said though if you hustle to the line and kick up a couple seconds before the guy that beat you off the rower you still could make up that Gap that’s right you bring up a great Point Noah being a polished athlete like you are on the individual side and now getting experience it on the team side man what’s the new points of emphasis for you transitions in and out eye contact with your teammates like what are the things that you’ve learned this year so far yeah all of those things are really important I think being able to stay in sync with everybody make sure you have a game plan that’s been the biggest transition when you have a game plan as an individual if if one thing goes wrong you can kind of adjust on the Fly and figure it out yourself when you’re on a team and something goes wrong there’s three other components that you have to make sure are on the same page for whatever that adjustment is going to be but these guys if they they make a quick mistake they can just quickly reset and go hopefully that none of those happen here that’s what I’m thinking about on this handstand walk you want to get up into the handstand position as quickly as possible but if you rush it that’s a crucial final handstand walk there that you don’t want to make any mistakes on judge’s hand in the air for Jack Ros my right side of your screen and immediately after that the judge’s hand in the air Lan four second from the left now third to the left Luke Parker goes into the air followed by Dre strong you saw Rich groning looking on earlier watching his Mayhem athletes really do well here in this seat alexo is going to be the first man out followed by Rosa and Parker [Applause] it’s just one trip down the floor here there goes Dre strong and Beno buan are out when you’re in this position you’re just praying your arms don’t give out and you can make it to that Finish Line Jack farlo is still going to have the top time Rosa is catching up and we’ll have to see who got across the Finish Line first as we go to the chip Rosa and were dead even St is in pans B that was a tight finish got Maran Jones still out there finishing up as Jones works his way to the Finish Line Jack Rosa is going to get the Heat win he edges out Alex voho by 6 100s of a second that little ankle slide there makes a difference will Carter’s Finishing up Will Carter another former team athlete this heat little tank walking on his hands man just a stout individual there working his way through was on move fast looked heavy last year gets it done that was a fun little finish there always is this this event is like a flash in the pan man in regards to the Finish it’s crazy right now third place in the event as both Jack farow and Nate arrian still have the top two times but he looks to gain ground on Beno buan it looks like depending on what happens here in he four Jack Rosa could be in a qualifying spot here there’s no doubt about it he looks like he’s handling business the way that he came to handle it he wants to go to Fort Worth and be a part of this first generation that gets to experience the cross games there and it was Dre stom early but we talked about this with Noah hey what matters more the handstand walk speed or the rowing speed and it certainly was a tell of the rower on the final 800 m where a lot of the athletes were roll a faster clip than that 144 145 split and it allowed them to be some of the first to put their hands on that finish mat across the Finish Line Mr rosema handling business 6 100s of a second on the official chip time Noah thanks so much for being here best of luck moving forward to you and the rest of the peak 360 team my pleasure thank you guys so much it’s fun to be on the other side of things final heat coming up next [Music] n [Music] down [Music] help [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh oh [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] last day is the best day here in Knoxville Tennessee as The Syndicate crown comes to a close but still half of the competition remains for the individuals thanks for being with us on this Sunday everybody I’m Sean Woodland alongside former affiliate Cup champion Adrien Conway and Bella Martin is on the competition floor we will hear from her in justce second your overall leader is Roman krenov 2 seconds and a first got a little bit of a gift to get that win in event three but he has looked good hey I’m sure Roman would quickly identify that he got a rid with one to finish yesterday but I’ll tell you what Sean he got hurt last year at the cross a game still finished third he would love nothing more than to finish these next three events strong and stand on top of the podium here at The Syndicate Crown he has a six-point lead on the 2023 Fitness man on Earth Jeff Adler Saxon Panic sits in third followed by Alan pepper and Jason Hopper rounding out the top five top 11 men going to the CrossFit Games and as we mentioned in the prior heat benwa buan coming into this event would be the last man in but that looks like it could change given the fact that Jack Rosa had such a solid performance in the prior heat individual event number four just has two elements two elements it’s a couplet we’re going to row and we’re going to handstand walk the row builds in distance as we go and the handstand walk has varying distances with the middle one being the longest go Ruck steps to success anything change after watching the first three here oh nothing at all Sean these athletes are going to need to be Reckless on the row and boy do we have some big rigs that means big bodies in this heat that are going to row a fast pace and they’ve got a brace and breathe upside down their hands are going to be moving fast but they’ve got a brace through the middle to stabilize their body 10 men on the floor for this fourth and final heat mention the Saxon Panic having a very solid competition so far comes in in third place overall with 264 points and for more him let’s bring in B Mar oh sax pantri he made it to the games five years in a row last year getting injured at semi finals so he wasn’t able to compete in this season looking to punch his ticket for the sixth time his kids and his wife are here Adrien it’s got to feel good to have that kind of support as an athlete knowing your entire family has your back here there’s no doubt about it it’s it’s a unique experience I mean we’re watching these young men grow up start families have careers and still have the time to be fully Comm commed to pursuing being the fittest man on Earth well speaking of having your family here to support you Travis mayor who currently sits in eighth place his wife and kids made the trip to Tennessee as he looks up to them and gives them a smile to come watch and compete and there they are his four kids and wife along with his mother and I don’t think they’ve ever come and watched him in competition he didn’t know they were coming this is a special moment for Travis oh so special for Travis to have that it’s like an extra kick in the rear And you’re extra motivated to do what you can do on on the competition floor hustle up as the official timekeeper of the CrossFit semifinals you can scan the QR code on the screen for a chance to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting CrossFit gyms around the globe terms and conditions apply now Sean we know what’s going to happen here everybody’s going to get off about within one to two seconds of each other on this very first round have some good urgency in the transition it’s going to be a tight race like no other making their way back to the rowers and then we’re going to settle in and really watch the value of what they’re pulling on these rowers continue to increase and with a man like Roman kov in the lead already we can’t ignore the fact that he’s got 10 event wins with rowing in them holy caj Jolie that boy he likes that her and Roman’s wife and son are here as well if you remember a few years back Roman first met his son at the CrossFit Games Sean I I can’t even imagine I remember that moment being there when he was on the competition floor just being like what did this really happen did we really just witness this it’s amazing well as you mentioned Adrian all these judges hands went in the air at about the same time watching a lot of virtuosity here on the rowers legs arms speed Roman is off first followed by Jason Hopper Austin Hatfield and D pepper in Lane seven we we’re watching a clinic of hand sand walking taking place here these guys doing a great job showing a neutral head position eyes looking right down at the floor where their hands make contact with the ground legs bent just enough to pull them forward at the momentum they’re comfortable with Lane eight top of your screen Sam cor is going to be the first man done with that hand sand walking now corn krenov and in lane four Saxon Panic your first three men to the 600 met row momentus is the official Sports Nutrition and supplement provider of CrossFit momentus offers the highest quality third party tested supplements and nutrition designed for everyday performance you can use code cf20 or text 30493 for 20% off momentous products Sean we love this as as we look at these two athletes both both out of the Mayhem Camp using their legs driving with their upper body in the pool to the Finish remaining composed and relaxed but Sam corn white we know that he can walk on his hands he has a top 10 finish with handstand walking present in the event 78% of the time and the Godfather of cross at Mayhem Rich Froning looking on as stoic as Rich always is right probably part present in his seat but probably part his physical body going through the event himself visualizing what he would do I mean I can tell you from experience just with myself when I’m watching one of my athletes it’s you almost start wanting to breathe for them and work for them but unfortunately we’re on the outside looking in as he’s watching probably very proudly of the athletes and the effort they’re exuding on the competition floor right now Sam Cory looking for his second career semifinal Victory his first game last year in test number three and currently sits in sixth place overall Jason Hopper working through his 600 meter row Hopper only had one finish outside the top 10 yeah and this is a great start for him and again an athlete we talked about him earlier this weekend looking to rebound from his performance at the CrossFit games last year looking over his shoulder like hey where the hands at where the hands at where am I at in comparison to se he’s a great [Music] rower hands starting to go in the air for the judges as their respective athletes wrap up their 600 meter rows after this it’s the 12 foot handstand walk Roman krenov your overall leader is going to be second off the rower behind Jason Hopper D pepper there as well pepper towards the far end of the floor black Short’s no shirt hey D and Roman going back and forth last night in event number three D said hey we’re not done with the URS Roman we got a bike some more this afternoon but we’re starting with the rower today Sam corn was the first man to make the turn he has now passed Jason hopper for first place in Lane seven d pepper sits in third corn is done the race is really just beginning here as corn is down on his rower at about 429 these guys may having a seat at about 435 pepper right to his left of corn ya now Sean we know on the last round that pepper rode one of the fastest splits so the the time now that they’re going to spend on the row is going to increase cuz they’re going 800 M so can corn ya give himself enough of a buffer to handstand walk fastest across the Finish Line will be the question mark he’s going to have to lean into suffering here and really challenge himself on the rower well pepper and corn way are side by side here and corway trying to do some monitor peing as is d pepp right the Sam corway is right about on the pace from Jack Faro’s top time Faro’s had the top time since he won 7 minutes 4.23 seconds Coro is right on that pace at least he was what he got on the roar we can check in with the monitors here in a second on both Coro and pepper as they work their way through these 800 met rows you see both sustaining a pretty composed and relaxed pace right now in regards to Cadence they’re not in a hurry to get their hands back to the herb they’re simply pulling with as much power as they can with on a consistent basis to get to the 800 D pepper on the right sway on the this is what we wanted to see Sean this amount of Separation in the pace 136 for pepper that’s how fast he’s paced a row of 500 met and Sam corn white rate about a 144 now sustaining about a 142 this is going to give d a slight Edge but corn been showing us that speed on his hands but remember we’re only go down we’re only going down the four Once there is no turn corn has taken the lead sort of late in these handstand walks so we’ll have to see if this lead that D is building is going to pay off on the handstand walk there’s Jason Hopper at 135 right now he’s got 200 me to go these guys are flexing their horsepower right now big bodies on an urg power in the legs lots of capacity in the lungs this is Fitness at the highest level as they are going to have a tremendous test coming up when they kick upside down Sean it’s an element of stamina and endurance yes but also accuracy and coordination judge’s hands starting to go in the air [Music] now crov judge’s hand is in the air Hopper judge’s hand is in the air D pepper and Hopper should be the first two men off Hopper’s done here comes pepper and here comes D pepper Sam Coro should be here soon as well here comes Roman krenov followed by Jeff Adler to Coro a at the top of your screen it’s got some ground to make up as Jason Hopper is looking to CH track down Jack paros top time at 74023 seconds and it looks like Jason Hopper is going to do it D pepper in with a second place finish and Sam corn will take third ahead of Roman kov and Jeff Adler and now Saxon Panic is in the top four times in this event coming from this heat Austin Hatfield is through Alexander Corone now Tyler Christo and Travis mayor a Frantic Finish in heat four as Jason Hopper picks up the event win the boys being boys out there having a great time giving the fist bump slapping to five Sean what a race and what a show they put on six career semi-finals event win for Jason Hopper who came in in fifth place overall well inside the cut line earning some insurance points there and that’s what we came to see folks was a show and it was a high level performance at the gate we had our eyes on Roman krenov hey we knew that in rowing events he’s got 10 previous event wins when rowing’s in it so he was naturally a favorite but Sam corn War the one that turned our heads early and it was his speed upside down his ability to get his hand on the ground quickly his legs with a steep arch in his midline but it was the story for the rower to tell where the athletes that held the highest split which was Jason hopper in this instance on the final 800 M getting off just seconds before D pepper he established the lead and he was able to hold on to it going completely unbroken and the handstand walks to start Sunday morning a big win for Jason Hopper top four times from the heat top four times in the event D pepper Another Second Place finish Sam corn will finish third followed by your overall leader Roman krenov who edges out p farlo and Jeff Adler by just 1 second and look how close it was between farlo and Adler let’s go down to B Martin with d pepper and Jason Hopper Jason congratulations on your sixth ever semifinal event win in phenomenal fashion six how many you got one we’ll get we’ll get to it Jason what’s going through your mind you’re seeing one of your best friends out there some of the fittest men in the world are you looking left looking right trying to get this win it’s all fun um you know yesterday I fumbled my the event win D did too so we had some Revenge coming today um so it was fun to go one and two today you guys have had a lot of the banter we were chatting about it yesterday a little bit where is that coming from the eye of the tiger on five different weights increasing weight 10 reps at 135 lb on those squat snatches eight reps at 145 6 at 155 four at 165 and two at 1 75 if they make it through the entire ladder a twom minute window is allocated on each of those weights except at 175 they get 3 minutes the question is can they get through those reps in the allotted amount of time ladies and gentlemen they may need your help Mike Richards what do you see out there hands are starting to come up 10 repetitions on this round number one within that two-minute window watching those judges hands to go up three make it two two reps remaining for Caroline Spencer down in Lane number three once that athlete is finished with that barbell if it’s in that window they can go ahead and move forward and work on that next barbell we’re only going to cut them off if they don’t make that window thank you sir well done looks like pan moving that barbell forward she’s going to increase to 145 lbs a few ladies right behind her including Lane five’s andison Su off now we’re going to be working on that 4minute window Noah all of our athletes moving forward light work for our ladies here brezing to that 135 so as mentioned increasing weight to 145 but decreasing the rep requirement only eight squat snatches going to happen here Dana pan moving that 145 barbell well down in Lane number number two hands are up in Lane number three for Caroline Spencer out of CrossFit Krypton your first athlete five reps remaining on that second barbell Logan Pho Los five Reps for her make it four now as she trucks through those squat snatches on that second barbell Paran looking very strong over in lane two making Li work of that 145 Spencer now two reps remaining on that 145 lb Rogue barbell final rep down in Lane number three working on that 4minute window eight reps is what we’re needed and your leader down in Lane number three sliding forward moving up to 155 lbs on the barbell Logan phoo right there with her mik as she moves that barbell at a lane nine they’re going to move up to 155 lbs they have up to the 6 Minute Mark to get that done and six reps still working within that 4minute window for some of your athletes a couple reps a piece to go your leaders working on that third barbell 155 lbs within that 8-minute window good observation Mike we’re going to see which of these ladies is going little wood one more rep [Applause] remaining it looks like that’s a costly no rep right there for Enz in Lane number seven I believe Larry we got Lane 10 down here Nina on to her last and final into our next Heat Heat number [Music] three oh [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] he oh [Music] [Music] the [Music] [Music] n [Music] [Music] [Music] the barbells are out as we are halfway through event five for the individuals the second to last event that they will face here at The Syndicate Crown glad you’re with us everybody here on this Sunday in Knoxville Tennessee I’m sha Woodland alongside former affiliate Cup champion Adrien Conway and Bella Martin is down on the competition floor the women in this third of four Heats all trying to get into a qualifying spot Erica Foo currently occupies that 11th position in the overall standings but it is tight behind her 23 points separating 17th from 11th coming into this event just one movement here in a whole lot of weight on the floor Adrien a whole lot of weight and a whole lot of reps they’re going to start at 10 descend 8 6 4 and two climbing in load as they go with a 2-minute cap at each barbell until the last one they get 3 minutes 11-minute cap will’ll finish with 175 take us through the go Ruck steps to success now smooth as fast is a really key component here because they start with 10 reps out of the gate they can’t rush those they’ve got to create good momentum and then fast out fast through that’s in terms of the squat snatch Sean this is ground overhead but they have to pass through a full squat every rip 10 women on the competition floor here for this third of four Heats Ashley wasney has been making a charge up the overall standings for more on her here’s Bella Martin Ashley is no stranger to those CrossFit Games she’s gone three times already as a teen she’s gone on a team twice she’s got one of the biggest personal ities in the field as well I think the theme of the weekend here is having fun and that’s what she’s doing she’s having fun posting memes on the internet and I think that’s what all of these athletes that are trying to make the best out of the weekend that’s the mindset that they got to have coming off a fifth place finish in event four by far her best finish of the competition Amanda barnhard meanwhile 29s and 222s she’s currently 20 points out of a qualifying spot yeah Sean I’ll tell you what six time CrossFit Games athlete this is someone who it’s easy to cheer for she’s got a listed snatch at 200 lb so this 175 is something that is very approachable for her for multiple reps and we are underway Daniel pan still has or Daniel pan pardon me still has the top time from Heat number one at 6 minutes 24. 79 seconds we start with those 10 reps at 135 lb we’ve mentioned this a few times Sean virtuosity being a key Focus oning the common uncommonly well these women are going to make this very complex movement look way too easy it takes so much skill and so much Fitness to do exactly what they’re doing right now even to start the event T makes Elite belts for everyday athletes that will help you crush your PRS avoid injuries and look your best while you lift if you’re regularly deadlifting squatting or lifting 80% or more of your max you need a two poo belt get the official belt of the 2024 CrossFit Game season today at t.com last CFG [Music] 24 in Lane five that’s Erica folo middle of your screen in the pink top black pants advancing her barbell to load it to that 145 lbs complete eight reps down in Lane 10 Ashley wasney and this aspect of the event is really important Sean like a NASCAR pit crew we we talked about it yesterday with the teams but they’ve got to be quick loading the barbells cuz they’ve got a naate that for three consecutive sessions one barbell load the weight on an off and then they get a fresh barbell into that fourth round Eric AO currently in 11th place overall yesterday she sat in second after that solid start a seventh and then a third but since then two straight finishes of 19th and then 28 so outside of the top 10 last two events great job of saving that last rep there notice she wanted to step forward had she stepped on that line that will result in no rep for these athletes the top three on the screen in the pink Thomas Eric AO on the right Ashley Wy in the orange and then in lane four Lexi Neely as they are all closing out they set of eight at 145 lbs watch wasney on the right watch her put both hands on the barbell at the exact same time for each rep that set her apart there in the last two Reps versus her competitors that might go one hand then the other then set up these small nuances these choices these athletes make really add up in a event like this where we’re doing so many repetitions well asley Wy who’s your leader at the top of your screen comes in in 20th Place overall courtesy of that fifth place finish in the prior event she moved up nine spots in the overall standing so she has been making some jumps here on day number three Sean we know this that in our sport the athlete who performs statistically best across all the tests is the one that ends up on top and Ashley wasney showed how valuable it is though to get a top finish toward that top of the leaderboard to accumulate points and how it can catapult you forward as the official Footwear and apparel partner of CrossFit and the CrossFit Games go Ruck wants to give your gym the chance to win the official shoe of CrossFit head over to goruck.com CrossFit and enter for the chance to win 50 free pairs of rough Runners for you and your [Music] [Applause] affiliate we are on the round of six six reps at 155 lb leaders on the screen Ashley Wy on the right and on the left Erica Foo in the pink and Lexi Neely next to her in lane four and this is where wasney will get to step up to the fourth barbell she does have to do no loading here it’s already preset for the load that she’s got to go through here for these repetitions and we’ll we’ll see four reps from her here 165 lbs on the bar though for Ashley Wy just three more to go for her ladies and gentlemen as we approach the for Jordan chefs is in Lane six she’s currently in 12th Place overall she just has to beat Erica Foo in this event to G points on her but right now she is trailing folo as f is towards the front of the pack the time to beat again is six [Music] 24.79% rep left that means she’s already done a previous three at this barbell and she’ll be able to advance and add load Wy will hit that and now moving up to 175 lbs for her final two reps now she has 3 minutes she has plenty of time and she’s got to get it done by the 11 minute Mark the time caps here have been have not really been a factor meanwhile Erico and Lexi NE are starting to struggle a little bit the two of them have missed a couple of reps here as they’re looking to make through that final barbell so now lei Neely has left F behind Neely moving up to the 175 lb barbell Foo missing [Music] again this is where that desperation sometimes kicks in Sean you’re not quite ready but you feel like you have to go due to peer pressure and due to where you’re at on the leaderboard first of two Reps for Wy at 175 is good and has more than a minute to get this second one in set the top time and Ashley Wy will miss left side Lexi Neely her first at 175 is good that looked very sharp she’s ready she’s going to rag this thing up Ney getting right back to work Wy has hers Wy stands it up and is in and Neely is right behind her those are your top two times now heading in to heat four 5348 4 seconds for wasney 535.148 [Applause] [Music] [Music] that’s Chloe Goin David there in Lane eight loading up her barbell for her two reps at 175 the left side lane two is fofy it’s her first lift at 175 looked very sharp there Sean very technically sound patience off the floor speed under the bar now with Lane seven Caroline Stanley is a cross and that’s a great result for f [Music] [Applause] sagafi now fullo is in and she’s going to surrender some points to the women who are chasing her for that 11th and final qualifying spot but the woman immediately behind her Jordan chefs in the long blue pants still on the [Music] floor Amanda barard actually also still on the floor as well [Applause] Chef chefs out thre the 165lb barbell one rep to go for [Music] barart that’s Elizabeth Wishard Amanda barard and now a no rep for Amanda barnhard he did not hit death window off trying to remain composed that’s a frustrating point of emphasis there for an athlete when you feel like you hit D you might have even felt your thighs touching your hip crease but you just drove out of the bottom a Touch Too Soon Jordan chefs now has one rep remaining at 175 barnhard will make that and she is in 7 and you can tell that was frustrating there for Amanda Barnhart but she was able to remain composed enough to get that lift in and get back under the time frame that she wanted to this is the first of two Reps for Elizabeth Wisher at 175 less than three to go before we hit the time cap Chef’s really going to have to accelerate through the middle here big jump for her that was one of her better lifts chefs will make a count now she’s across leav two women out on the competition floor Caitlyn Sanders on the left side of your screen and Elizabeth Wishard on the right and wiard is through wow and Caitlin Sanders closes things out but it’s Ashley wasney who’s looking to make another huge jump up the overall standings who now has the time to beat 5 minutes 34.8 4 seconds hey we talked about a lot this weekend Sean the setup of one event on Friday two on Saturday three on Sunday it’s anybody’s race as we go on and Ashley Wy is looking to sees every Point available to her and these last two events they really suited her capacity in the sport of Fitness where we naturally understand that Fitness as a compromise means that you are sometimes going to have events where you can Excel and accelerate and maybe have a top five or a top three finish but you really got to hit the home run when those balls are presented to you to knock out of the park because they’re going to be athletes created other movements Wy did a great job executing all the way through her consistent setup in execution allowed her to have a no W Miss there look to the right understand where Neely was in regards to competition and pacing they both put their hands on the bar at the exact same time but it was wasney who was faster out of the bottom and got across the Finish Line Ashley Wy coming off a fifth placeat finish in the prior event coming into 20 plates overall that most likely will change after that final heat coming up next for the women a [Applause] [Music] la [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] we are in the heart of volunteer country Knoxville Tennessee playing host to the North America East semifinal the final day of competition at The Syndicate Crown rolls on here and we are glad you are with us inside the Knoxville Civic Coliseum I’m Sean Woodland alongside former affiliate cup champ Adrien Conway we’ll hear from Bella Martin on the competition floor here in just a second 11 women advancing from the North America East semifinal to the crit games Tumi three first and a third sets the top the overall standings with 394 points followed by Emma Lawson and Alexis raptis Haley Adams has been great in this competition two seconds and a first has her in fifth place well inside the cut line and coming into this event it was Eric aolo who sits in that final qualifying spot barbells are out we’re doing some snatching barbells of Plenty Sean we’re going to do a descending ladder in the form of reps 108 642 where the weights will creep up 135 145 155 165 final bar being in 175 lbs what are your steps to success presented by Goo you’ve got to start smooth and then build the fast so smooth is fast here don’t rush yourself on the first lighter bars so you can be smoooth and fast on the lad part then you got to be fast out fast through and that means in the overhead squat position there’s a lot of people watching this that want to build up their overhead Squat and they snatched they need to focus on mechanics first if you watch the North America West semi-final last week you saw Olivia ketter do something so offensive it should be criminal 3 minutes 58. 36 seconds just demolishing this event she did it in such a methodical way too Sean it was crazy to watch I mean it was one lift after another no hesitation at the bar every rep from rep one all the way through the end looked the same 10 women on the competition floor for this fourth and final heat paig simenza will be in Lane number one she’s been inside the cut line the entire competition but moving the wrong way in the overall standings ninth overall coming in and for more on her here’s Bella Martin so menza one of the most successful athletes in this field right now having five CrossFit Games appearances looking to make it back for the sixth she’s right on the bubble there for these athletes she did this ladder back in 2016 and wasn’t able to finish it it’s been a long time since then she’s been in the game since then we excited to see what she’s going to get up to M Shelby Neil will be in lane two right next to Paige semenza Neil coming in in seventh place overall coming off her best finish of the competition in event four where she took seventh Sean she’s got a listed Max at about 200 lbs we know that she started working with Brent fow’s team good leadership good composure that’s the professor in our sport better known as and I’m sure that he’s given her plenty of advice on ways to approach this final day of [Applause] competition Tia looking to pick up her fourth win of the semifinals but first things first got to get through that 135lb barbell 10 reps here Alexis rapes in the light blue top and Haley Adams will be keeping an eye on Haley notice right out of the gate how the champ right here to the right T Clair tuming you may know a thing about her or two Sean she puts her hands directly on the bar as it settles both hands at the same time and it’s starting to pick up for the next rep these subtle nuances in the first 10 reps really accumula in time and we’ll watch how fast and how soon she starts to advance her barbell for that next round hustle up is the official timekeeper of the CrossFit semifinals you can scan the QR code on the screen for a chance to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting CrossFit gyms around the globe terms and conditions apply there is Danielle Brandon who comes in in fourth place overall with 322 points points P men that with one rep to go we talked about how important it was to be fast out of the bottom of the overhead Squat and I know this is a very mysterious movement for a lot of people it’s very elusive which means that it’s so highly technically dependent that in order to improve at it you don’t just need to always snatch more Sean sometimes it’s best just to focus on the overhead Squad itself put the bar in the in the rig get it over your head and start to learn how to move through full range of motion just like we see T CL Tumi and the rest of these going right here on this he Tia Tui now starting her eight reps at 145 lbs she was the first woman to get there that third place finish in event four that ties her career low for a finish in a semi-finals event Sean when I competed a third place finish was like pump my chest celebrate in the Finish Line T Clair Tumi was absolutely offended by that third place finish on the other handon in Lane six second place with 3 37 points four reps remaining Tumi now with two reps remaining Ashley wasney has our time to beat at 5348 4 seconds Pig semenza on the left side in the top four here in this final [Music] heat Daniel brenon on the right has one of the best overhead positions that we see in our sport we talk about an active shoulder and what that looks like when she catches the bar armpits forward elbows down towards the ground stable and active in that overhead position Tia Tumi and P zenza along with Daniel Brandon and now emosson advancing their barbells Shelby Neil is also moving up to 155 as is Haley Adams and toui right to work [Music] six reps here 100 55 lbs and Tumi is already halfway [Music] through p zenza with four remaining Emma Lawson also with four remaining and Tumi now down to her final rep here 155 lbs the consistency that we see from these athletes Sean is really reflective of the way that they train putting in tension not just behind the heavy weights that they move but even how they move lighter barbells that’s how you build habits and routines that we’re seeing Thrive right now for T Clair Tumi as she approaches the fourth [Applause] bar four reps now for Tumi at 165 she’s the only woman on this portion of the event now here comes Alexus raptis and Shelby needle as well and paig theen is just finishing up at 15 Emma Lawson about to join here to me as well Lawson right side your screen in the white [Music] [Applause] top the world record will stand for Olivia ketter not much of a shock there but the event win still very much up for grabs here at The Syndicate crowd I mean it put so many things in perspective when we now reference that time by Olivia cair 348 shot as we watch some of the fittest women in the entire world advancing the barbell still not quite on their last one the Tumi now loading the bar to 175 she has two reps remaining Haley Adams is hanging tight here as is Shelby Neil who is in second place she’ll be the second woman to get to the 175 lb station here comes Alexis raptus at the same time so good battle between raptis and Neil for second place in the heat possibly second place in the event 5348 84 seconds that is the time to beat and tatumi is looking to P put the finishing touches on yet another event win 100 more points for TI [Applause] Tumi and it honestly looked like a pretty solid warmup for Tia there 50260 seconds now the fight for second place Emma Lawson is through her first rep at 175 Shelby Neil left side your screen just hit hers and wapus here we go is done and now Lawson looking for a second place finish in the event if she can stand this up she will but Neil keep an eye on her may have gotten it Shelby Neil may have gotten it ahead of Emma [Applause] Lawson and now raptus is a cross almost simultane taneously to cend thean got some tight races to sort out here and EV Lawson and Shelby Neil wow as now Haley Adam through BR Wells so milliseconds now we’re going to be separating all these athletes we’ll try to sort it out for you the Shelby Neil as you look at Danielle Brandon finishing up does Edge out Emma Lawson by a half second Alexis raptus by 3 T of a second over paig semenza and Haley Adams by four 100s of a second over Brook Wells as anuka Greer going back for some [Music] chalk and Lydia fish on the right side of the screen is still working on [Music] 165 Sean L fish with a listed Max of 160 lbs we might be watching her cycle 100% of her Max a couple times lonica career is in that’s going to be good enough for ninth in the heat now 18th in the event Greer came in inside the cut line in eighth place but she’s going to creep maybe a little bit closer to 11th and she’ll have some work to do in the final event we talked about it 160 lbs listed as a Max for L of fish she knew guaranteed coming into this Shan hey this might be a pain point this might be a struggle for me we notice she’s taking plenty of time here what she doesn’t want to do is rush and then have a miss and create this elongation of time so let’s see what she can do on rip number two wow great lift and she will make that and now moves up to 175 she’s got two reps remaining there yeah I’m sorry that was lift number four on that round Tumi looks on just racked up her 14th career semi final event [Music] win all right well the good news for Miss Lydia fish is that uh she has an amazing crowd behind her right now as she’s the athlete putting on a show to wrap up this particular heat we talk about adrenaline we talk about being able to seize the moment this is going to be one of those for the memory books for her if she can rally together and hit these two lifts first of two Reps for fish at 175 not able to get that one locked out the family look on she’s got plenty of time 2 and 1/2 minutes before we hit the time cap Sean we’ve all been here at some point in our lifting background whether we are newbies or we are just uh years into pursuing cross the snatch is a movement that we’ll be spending years trying to master no matter what I started doing it in 2011 man and what year is it now 20124 man I feel like I’m still getting started and I certainly am compared to some lifelong lifters one of the big things for young miss fish here is that she’s got to focus on getting tall before she gets small under the bar this is going to ensure that she pulls the bar as high as she can can rece with active shoulders Great Lift one is down for Lydia fish 10 Place overall most likely going to fall out of a spot inside the top 11 but we still have one to go so this is a this is a big lift for her here this is a huge LIF Sean and that one gave her some momentum right there gave her some confidence now she knows she can smoke this again with a listed Max at 160 we’re 15 lbs above the weight that she’s ever touched and she’s about to try to hit it for a second time let’s go let the big fish swim baby second attempt and almost had it rushed it just a touch out of the bottom that was her third attempt she’s missed twice I love it look at the support mom getting her Flex on saying like yo you got this let’s go one minute to go for Lydia fish probably going to make one more one more run at this thing at a young 20 years old these lessons Shan are just’re they’re so big and so immense she’ll be able to cling to this as a as a pain Point even as she advances regardless of what happens this weekend this will prob re burn in her memory motivation to train a way to want to step up a way to want to persevere and continue to close the gap on some of these other women that are cheering on right [Applause] now and she will get it [Music] wow came perly close to stepping out of that box but was able to keep her foot in and makes the rep count great moment for Lydia fish two good reps on four attempt at 175 for [Applause] her and you just you don’t you don’t get this from other sports man you don’t get this the camaraderie the love that everybody shares it was Lydia fish that stole the show late but it was the champ that showed it early and often and all the way through this snatch ladder 10 reps that were smooth as butter Sean she put both hands on the bar at the same time early which allowed her to get out into an early lead but it’s small things like this look at this separating the plates with both hands at the same time I’m not going to go to one side and then do a little thing and then the other side and do a little thing Tia is so playing a different game than the rest of these competitors that those small Nuance decisions are what will continue to accelerate her away from the field each and every event and she put on another show there 100 points but this may have been the moment of the day so far courtesy of Lydia fish what an amazing thing and that’s why we play the sport right there those PRS double PR a Tumi now has four wins in five events Shelby Neil looking to make a return trip to the CrossFit games that result will help EML Lawson takes third followed by Ashley Wy who’s going to rock it up the leaderboard even more now and Lexi Neely rounds out the top five let’s go down to bellam Martin Tia congratulations on another semi-final event win it’s not the first time you’ve seen this ladder when it comes to doing events again do you dread going going into the event again knowing how badly it has to hurt in order to win I guess it depends on the workout that can happen but uh the last time I did this workout was back in 2016 and uh what I put up on the board back then wasn’t anything to go off so um I just know I’ve obviously gotten better since then and uh I I I think I completed it that okay cool y I completed it so I was like if I did it back then I can do it faster now you say faster now Olivia cured last week 348 for those of us that are not Elite athletes can you put that into perspective how incredible that is uh I mean like I have seen her do this in real life we all seen it last weekend and I still felt like she missed the bar that’s n oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] a [Music] [Applause] [Music] it’s time to sling some weight around we are halfway through event number five the second to last event for the men at The Syndicate Crown as we wrap up day three of competition thanks for being with us today I’m Sean Woodland alongside Adrien Conway B Martin is down on the competition floor overall standings coming in 11 men go and everybody on your screen right now will be in this heat and they’re all chasing Travis Mayer Who currently sits in that 11th and final spot with 259 points bring out the weights Adrien bring out the weights and I’m sure Travis Mayer likes this with the listed snatch at 300 lb man we’re going to go in a descending ladder of 10864 or two squat snatches with a 2-minute cap at each one until the final bar they get 3 minutes 185 205 225 245 and they finish at 265 go Ruck steps to success have they changed at all not at all Sean smooth as fast here they’re going to want to try to build the confidence and positivity and their Cadence early with the higher reps and then fast out and fast through and what that means is that overhead squat that they have to pass through each and every repetition who can get out of the bottom and into full extension over time will have reward Lane assignments for this third of four Heats Travis mayor The Marked Man in Lane number five in the two men who are immediately behind him the overall standings will be in Lanes four and in Lane six Taylor S and Luke Parker for more on Parker here’s Bella Martin I like Luke Parker in the position he’s in going into these final two events for the guys he’s gone at games of four on a team seen success as an individual as well tell you what I’m sure he’s excited to go back to the games but his wife is also giving birth in August so if there’s anyone that’s going to be busy in the month of August and might not have the time to travel to Dallas Fort Worth it’s going to be this guy going to see his wife in The Stance cheering for him boys we were joined in the booth by a nine-time CrossFit Games athlete and one of the few men that make me cry at the games Scott Panic thanks for stopping by again man hey excited to be here how’s this one Shape Up for your brother I’m excited about this one for him we uh I’ve watched him do it a number of times and I feel [Music] good we are underway Spencer panic in Lane one hey you mentioned feeling good about him Scott boy does he got smooth as butter form bro I mean he takes patience off the floor chest is upright beautiful over head position you might have taught him a thing or two about that is that right I might have taught him a little some something yeah he’s got some great form biggest thing on these early barbells is to just stay smooth and not get too fast yep you want to accelerate through those last two bars you did this event back in 2016 what was the approach for you at that time with the weights being what they were well it feels like it was just last year yeah those first two bars you just got to be careful not to get pulled into too fast of a pace keep your heart rate under control quick Transitions and really your money is going to be made on those last two bars Jack farlo still has the time to beat 55687 seconds there’s Alex Veno who’s going to be the first man to advance his barbell along with cth stoval and Spencer pansi then at the top of your screen in Lane 10 Jake Burman is moving up as well and Travis mayor and Taylor self moving up as the official Footwear and apparel partner of CrossFit in the CrossFit Games go Ruck wants to give your gym the chance to win the official shoe of CrossFit head over to goruck.com CrossFit and enter for the chance to win 50 free pairs of Ru Runners for you and your affiliate as we talk about maintaining control of this early Pace Scot we know that some of these athletes Alex Veno on the right for example has a listed Max of 300 lb your brother Spencer a listed Max of 295 and then we got someone like stoble right in the middle list Max at about 275 now the outer athletes having a bigger buffer on that last bar how does that play into factor in a workout where we’re doing so many RS yeah that lower percentage of your of your max on the early barbells is going to have you moving it a lot faster and that’s what you got to be careful of is not to come out too fast right there and and really just find your pace that’s going to set you up to move fast through those last bars because a long rest on the 245 265 can really tick over but a second here or there on the barbell uh one and two isn’t going to add up as much eight reps to 205 there is Taylor cell who has three reps remaining on this barbell he currently sits in 13th Place overall he’s 28 points back of Travis Mayer 41 and he had some struggles yesterday Sean on that front squat workout knowing he’s had multiple knee surgeries that front squat is something that he’s still working to refine a bit of a struggle when it comes to powerlifts like squatting pressing pulling but when it comes to Olympic lists he has an opportunity to use his speed and athleticism to try to bur the blow the line and close the gap on some of these other stronger competitors so we’ll really see how that starts to pay off or be a challenge for him in these latter bars of this event and right now he’s ahead of Travis Mayer who’s on the right side of your screen self got through those eight reps before Mayer did Seth Stovall now is getting to work at 225 six reps [Music] here it was going to be the first of that 245 bar that’s right would you say you I know you mentioned that those are the really key barbells is those final two is that where 245 is that where the workout essentially starts I do I think that’s where the workout starts for these guys and then it’s just how clean are those reps if you hit a rep clean you know you can get on it right away but if you’re a little leaning left and right you don’t want that Spencer Panic on the left side of your screen now has one rep remaining Alex voho hanging towards the front here and ahead of Travis Mayer Theo’s 33 points back back of Travis may very much alive here for one of the qualifying spots coming off his best event finish of the competition the 10th place in event number four is now Spencer Panic has started his four reps at 245 that’s a great first rep there [Applause] too Seth Stovall about to join him and Luke Parker as well in Lane six is moving up to the 245 lb barbell the Parker in the middle of your screen in the all black is SE stove all bottom of your screen and the light blue shirt just hit his opening rep at 245 Luke looking smooth on his first rep you can see the athlet starting to breathe a little bit heavier here but your heart rate actually starts to come down right Scott in these ladder bars cuz it’s less reps you got to take more rest you’re almost forced into Ito on the left newe Parker on the right meanwhile Travis mayor has pulled ahead of Taylor self as mayor has moved up to the 245 lb barbell and he makes his first lift as Parker and Stovall continue to work through their set of four here at 245 Luke Parker coming in in 12th Place overall he’s only six points back of Travis mayin right now ahead of him in this heat and look looking smooth great look there by Spence and he’s going to ADV forward got a little race here I like it the luk Parker in the lead just ahead of Spencer Panic they are your top two Seth Stow ball is now through his four reps at 245 Travis Mayer middle of your screen no shirt and the shorts is trying to get through his reps at 245 I believe he has one remaining Taylor S from the all black he’s also on that barbell as well the time to is quickly approaching so Jack farlo looking like his top time’s going to survive into the final heat as Travis mayor has two reps remaining Spencer panck hits his opening lift at 265 Luke Parker smooth on his first lift to [Music] 265 Alex voho has made his the Parker misses and now Spencer panck and set Stow ball bottom of your screen stepping up for their last reps to 265 snowball will hit it and he is in he’ll take the heat Alex Vio is in that is big again 33 points out of a qualifying spot and now Luke Parker is in Parker looking to lead frog Travis mayor who just made his first lip so snowball’s going to lock up there the win in the heat as Spencer Panic is in Taylor self missing his opening attempt at 265 mayor’s got one left mayor’s got to do some damage control here this is where it starts to get tough because you are just coun in seconds trying to figure out how quickly can I get on it to ensure you get that last lift now here comes Taylor self his second attempt to 265 he needs to hit two lifts and he’ll hit that he’ll make that that was a good lift that bar was even away from him a little bit off the floor it was a little forward Mayer again he will make that count to Travis Mayer is it big here for Taylor Taylor Zelf has it wow Travis mayor right now 10th place in the event but that is going to change with one heat to go there’s Jake bman Great Lift by bman there he’s in Alex voho second place in the heat meanwhile sixth place in the event right now this is where some experience can really play a big part knowing when to get on that barbell Andre St is done and he is across the Finish [Music] Line how did you navigate making those executive decisions for yourself Scott it’s like hey man I feel like I should go but I’m going to hold on for a couple more seconds how do you make those hard choices in the heat of competition I remember like it was yesterday when I got to that 265 lb bar and having to walk walk back and take a little breather and you practice it you know you got to you got to just fail and fail and practice to know where that threshold is to send it on game day so Nate arrian come across the finish line and that leaves Beno ban as the last man on the floor you you’ll you’ll understand what I mean when I say this scot but it almost takes a bit of of soberness SL humility to make that choice because In the Heat of the Moment with the crowd with the family with the friends and with the desire to want to excel at a high level you’re like n I’m ready I can do this I can do anything but you got you got to almost talk yourself off the edge a little bit absolutely and like you said your breathing starts to come down so your your breathing says you can go but the the muscles themselves maybe aren’t quite ready to do it [Applause] not to mention whenever another athlete steps up next to that barbell with you you know it makes you want to get your hands on yeah no greater Temptation than watching someone else put their hands on the bar and you’re like no no no no no these are my three points or these are my five points or whatever it’s going to be that’s right and this is the time to take chance you look at every guy in this heat right here and these guys are all taking a chance right they want that last spot and ban J unable to stand that up he’s been bouncing in and out of a qualifying spot coming into the this event in 15th Place overall started the competition in eighth place then he was out down to 14th and he was back in in 11 and Sean I was going to mention that Ban’s listed Max is 255 lbs he’s now slanging after all those snatches already 265 lbs and it’s just this is something that he’s trying to have growth in as an individual he can move in gymnastics he’s got a decent base for conditioning and it’s about putting together this strength concept that’s a huge and very influential aspect of our Sports CrossFit that he’s got to continue to grow [Music] in doesn’t look like it’s going to happen for Beno buan now we talk about Miss o Scott and he missed that behind his head that that gives him some hope right a little bit of confidence you know you got it you got it high enough to get under it and the lift has to be done by the time cap in order for it to count so keep that in mind and we’re only 10 seconds away from he’s got to go and these are the moments right here that stick with you for a whole year that will fuel that whole next year of training well this one may not count but it’ll count for him if he makes it what a great effort there great effort for Ben W buj Crow saluting him Seth stoval is going to win your heat 6 28.97 seconds Jack faros still has the best Mark 5 56.8 7 heading into the final heat and Alex Veno certainly did El in favors as well well I’ll tell you what we had an amazing race here the entire event Spencer panck leading the away early with some very smooth and efficient pacing it looked like he might have shorted the pull there in a rep or two that cost him some time in a Miss Luke Parker came on strong but also the same thing missing lock out there with his right side but it was Ste Seth sto the one his listed Max is only 275 that Barbo right there he only 10 lb under his Max and he sees the sees the moment alexinho then coming in shortly after we had a series of Mayhem athletes come across the finish line but then it’s almost everybody’s favorite dad whose family showed up to support him that sees the moment and got across the Finish Line there with a solid finish for Travis Mayer Scott thanks so much for being here man really appreciate it enjoy the rest of the day final heat for the men coming up next [Music] one heat remains in event five for the men here at The Syndicate crown and we are glad you are with us inside the Knoxville Civic Coliseum it has been an exciting day three I’m sha Woodland alongside former affiliate cup champ Adrien Conway and Bella Martin is down on the competition floor 11 men going to the CrossFit Games out of the North America East semifinal and all the men on your screen right now in a qualifying spot Roman krenov is our overall leader with 385 points Jack Rosa in 10th Place got himself inside the cut line after that last event and Travis mayor we just saw him go in the prior heat he’s going to have some work to do in the final event but still plenty needs to be sorted out here in the final Heat as the heavy barbells are finally out on the floor that’s right they’re finally out on the floor but they’ve got to be earned we’re going to have a descending ladder of reps 108 642 ascending ladder of Weights 185 205 225 245 and the men will end at 265 lb what do the go rug steps to success here smooth is fast we saw that on point in the last Heat where the men have to start smooth early and be patient a bit with their pace and then fast out fast through and that’s through that overhead squat position that they have to receive every reping and last week at the North America West semifinal we saw a great moment as you take a look at the lane assignments for this heat as Colton Mertens stepped up to the 265 PB barbell and they call him the iron hog but he has you know what of Steel to try this move and pull it off touch and go and it was out of nowhere Sean I mean we we saw this him load up for the bar we saw the professor there ready and it caught me so off guard I was like what just happened here touch and go out of nowhere and it’s got him the event win let’s bring in Bella Martin on the competition floor Ty chrisal phenomenal position to be in to get that fourth ever CrossFit Games ticket he’s got to be successful here in the next two events he’s a former baseball player Adrien what are those skills that transfer from traditional Ball Sports here in to CrossFit oh my goodness I’ll tell you that’s a great question cuz it’s something unique about baseball players they have a unique ability in my experience as coaching to learn new movements fast and Tyler’s got a a high skill set we’ll see if he can seize the moment here just 12 points coming into this event separate eight from [Music] 12 a lot still to be decided here with this final heat there’s your overall leader Roman kof Roman looking moveth out the gate he’s clearly got a routine and a rhythm there with his barbell cycling right hand goes on left hand goes on butt down chest up cycle for the next rep there’s Austin Hatfield who won event two to kick off Saturday his first career event win at the semifinals and is in a qualifying spot he currently sits in seventh place overall with 289 points and he’s had some really amazing moments this weekend certainly put me on notice in my are on Mr Hatfield he’s got a listed snatch at 305 lb and we’ve been comparing some data a lot of his EV finishes have run adjacent to the Colton Mertens from last week in the west so when we saw what Colton could do with those touch and goal in that final Barb we wonder if we got something like that up Our Sleeve there for old Mr Austin Hatfield hustle up is the official timekeeper of the Cross semifinals you can scan the QR code on the screen for a chance to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting cross gyms around the globe terms and conditions apply Jeff Adler now on to his eight reps at 205 lb as is the rest of the field Jack Rosa is your leader right now in Lane 10 he’s making quick work of this barbell three reps remaining for him on this set of eight make that five [Music] is now we’ve got to watch Jack here and I say we got to watch him because he’s very metabolically conditioned Sean he shines in events where suffering is a high premium this workout You’ve Got To Tread tread the line very lightly though we talked about smooth as fast he could be rushing himself to a barbell that’s simply too heavy to move fast for him he’s got to know his own threshold his listed Max right now is at 265 lb so is he trying to create a buffer so that he has a lead in some wiggle room when he knows some of these stronger athletes are coming up on his heels Jack Ros trying to make it to the Cross games the first time in his career 10th Place overall coming into this event he’s trying to get some Breathing Room going into the six and final event and coming off his best finish of the competition earlier today as of right now Jack Rosa is putting on a clinic I mean executing like a pro that’s it couldn’t be going much smoother for him in the field of this [Music] deep Jeff Adler D and pepper and S corway are also on their round of six lifts at 225 lbs [Music] we notice these guys chipping away at reps pepper on your left Adler on your right Roman dead center taking much more of his time really creating a rhythm even in his setup an execution for each and every rep now we know Olympic weightlifting isn’t necessarily Roman’s calling card but it is something that he’s had previous success with but you can tell and when an actly does this Sean that they are setting themselves up for later bars Roman is now prioritizing the heavier weights and owing himself to feel good early and not necessarily get caught up in a race Jack Rosa just got through his six reps at 225 getting set to advance to 245 lbs he’ll be the first man there but now here comes Jeff Adler and D pepper to join him at that weight little Sunday red action on the shoe game for both these boys they got the Tiger Woods red [Music] out we talked about Tyler christell and Austin Hatfield before this event started and right now the two of them are towards the back of the pack in this heat we saw a Miss just now from Adler all pepper good one rep in Adler gets it sorted he’ll hit that Rosa now with one rep remaining two each for pepper and Adler and rosema hits that he’ll be the first man all right to the final station time to beat the walk to Jack Faro 55687 seconds and man could Rosa use and a b win here and this is what we were talking about early he’s had good success he he used his Baseline of condition and creative buffer between he and the chasing athletes now will it be enough time for him to recover and hit a weight that right now is above the listed weight that we’ve got for him this would match PR he’s going to have to hit it twice the Jeff Adler and D pepper move to the 265lb bar station as well as Rosa makes his first attempt and will hit that and that’s a good lift right there by Mr Rosa Rosa has a minute to get this final lift 10th Place 262 points only nine points clear of Luke Parker this is a huge lift for Jack [Music] Rosa I want save by Rosa and he will get the event win what an impressive outing by Mr Jack Rosa Jeff Adler’s first attempt at 265 it’s Good Sam corn making his first run at this way make that his second to corway is in and that’s going to be good enough for second place in the event D pepper is in that will be good for third so pepper picking up 94 points as Adler is now done and Adler that will be the fourth best time [Music] Roman making the long journey back people are wondering what in the world is he doing he’s making sure his hands are good and dry he’s a sweater and Roman krenov is solidly in a qualifying spot trying to get the crowd behind him if he steps up to 265 so right now for these men who are at the top of the leaderboard just avoid a disaster here Great Lift there by Roman here’s Jason hopper for attempt to 265 is good Austin Hatfield is now on the 265lb barbell the Hopper’s going to miss oh and he’s right back to the bar another Miss by Hopper crov is done and he is across and Austin Hatfield is through as well Tyler christell has one rep remaining he’s at the bottom of your screen in the black black shorts Jason Hopper Alexander Corone still on the floor as is Saxon Panic the hopper going to miss that and that’s a third Miss in a row for Hopper he’s got to take a moment compose himself gather his thoughts finish his pull and punch under the bar here are the overall standings coming in on right around the cut line the Jack Rosa is going to move up courtesy of those 100 points as Saxon panck is in Tyler christop fell he’s trying to do some damage control chrisell is through and now Jason Hopper finally gets by that final rep now Alexander Corone the last man on the floor will make his lift well Hopper is going to take 18th Place in the event christell will take 16th in the event and Alexander cor will take 20th Batman wow will take first and Jack Rosa is one step closer to his first trip to the CrossFit game Rosa came out early Sean with some fast cycle rates it had me wondering Jack are you coming out too fast I have a listed Max for you here is 265 lbs and I knew he was going to be quickly approaching that last bar which means he would have been cycling his one RM for two but he put on a clinic and put me on notice as a commentator in the space shot now I know Jack Roseman is the real deal on the barbell he’s improved his snatch and now he’s looking to make sure that he’s handled his business to punch his first ticket as an individual to the CrossFit Games and this is the save that wins the event for him if he stepped over that red line that would have been a no rep huge way to step up for himself and give himself an opportunity going to the final event 51 13.37 seconds Jack Rosa gets 100 points and gets inside the cut line by even more now Sam Cory D pepper and Jeff Adler right behind him and then Jack Faro another solid finish after a rough start to his competition he will take Fifth [Music] 556.org and now be on the inside looking out uh I think it’s just a product of my preparation my life circumstances have been a little different this year just um little little bit less demanding full-time job um but just a better training situation um closer to Mayhem closer to support system stuff like that just it just comes from repetition and putting in the work it’s not necessarily anything different this year it’s just a uh the result of being really consistent over a period of time and it’s just kind of starting to pay off more this this season than last season well you speak about finding that balance with work in life I know you’re a father you’re a husband you’re in the Army how do you find balance for all of that honestly my my strength straight up comes from my faith um I because of my faith in Christ I mean I’m I have that gives me freedom to perform and my best um and put my best product out there the best version of myself and that I use that to guide everything I do I truly do so I try to be the best Christ follower then husband then father and then everything else after that and it just kind of falls into line if you put your best foot forward in in those in things in that order I mean I like where you’re sing Jack you were going into this one 100 points are now yours from this event what’s going through your mind as you’re going into this one knowing you need to be top 11 I just want to execute um just like I did on this one I knew Sunday was going to be my best day that I just needed to be within Striking Distance going into these last two um and I did the did the job good enough to be in that spot so just go out there and hang on to those dumbbells and see what happens get Jack thank you Jack Rosa picks a great time to get his first event win at the semifinals and now one event remains we will take a break when we return we’re going to be handing out tickets to the crossford games [Music] The Syndicate Crown the 2024 CrossFit Games North America East gentlemen she knocks out 11 unbroken she’s going to come down once again our athletes have 15 ring muscleups and they’ll move to that dumbbell kir Napoli in lane four back at it Mary Helen Saunders the third to get to ring still trucking in Lane [Music] one and one more no she’s done kalista Lang ladies and gentlemen just past the twom minute Mark she’s already McKenna Lane seven trying to Knoxville Make some noise for your ladies final few feet M and Hiller is in right one minute to [Applause] go Kiran Napoli after a vicious no rep is able to get it done little here [Music] Caroline Kutz locks it out in lane two unofficial 515 wow Round of Applause for your ladies doing work here today the final event for them [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Applause] [Music] n [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we are down to the final event at The Syndicate Crown as 11 women will be moving on to the CrossFit Games after this event for the rest the season will be over I’m Shawn Woodland alongside former affiliate Cup champion Adrian Conway and Bella Martin is down on the competition floor top 11 women moving on Erica Foo right now in that final spot she will be wearing a Target in this heat and just 34 points separate Jordan chefs in 15th from ericao in 11 and this is what remains it’s a fast one Sean and there’s a lot on the line 2 calories on the echo bikee 15 ring muscle ups and they will do a 72t walking lunge dumbbells at the side with 70 lbs in each hand take us through the go Ru steps to success you got to ride a fine line here you’ve got to push but don’t send the bike you’ve got to leave some reserve for the muscleups and the lunge and then it’s all gorilla grip when it comes down to that final straightaway who can hang on to those dumbbells all the way through the Finish Line Erica Foo and Lexi Neely are in Lanes four and five the two of them are on the right side of the cut line F and and 11th KN LEF comes in in ninth F’s been doing what she needed to do all weekend now she had one event that kind of put her in a position that she didn’t necessarily want to be in but we know that as an athlete she’s got the capacity to do well on these Rings we’ll see what happens with her grip due to accumulation throughout the course of the weekend on the final lunge though but two lanes down from hers Carolyn Stanley who is in 12th Place Wrong Side of the cut line but only six points away and this is one of those moments in the weekend Sean we’ve got statistics and data on all these athletes and it’s all fine and dandy but who’s going to step up right now when the pressure is the highest and the lights are the brightest we’re about to find out do you want to go to the CrossFit Games or do you want to go home P of goofe also very much alive coming into this event only 14 points out he’s been there before she’s been in this situation before tan I like this when we get a veteran that has an understanding of how to ride the line we know that she’ll execute at a high level it just depends on what the rest of these ladies are going to bring to the [Music] [Applause] table third heat is underway the top time belongs to kalista Lang 3 minutes 1681 seconds we open up with the 22 calories on the echo bik now we’re seeing some of the strategy already come into play the push don’t send aspect is right here on the bike where they’re going to be pushing and pulling with their arms and they want to go fast they got to try to get some type of advantage on a lead to go into the Rings there is f trying to head back to the CrossFit Games for the third time in her career she was 32nd last year Caroline Stanley looking for her first ever trip as an individual to the games her fourth appearance here at the semifinals again she comes in in 12th Place overall only six points back of Erica Foo and judges hands in the air about the same time for Foo and Stanley this is going to be a good race when we get to the Rings some of these ladies have the capacity they could go 15 unbroken shine do they have it at the end of a long weekend like this we don’t know and if they break where will they break and how long will it be before they get up to finish their second portion of their 15 ring muscle Amanda barnhard left side of your screen and the All Blacks use the first woman to the Rings in Lane number six that’s Jordan chefs who’s looking to get on the right side of the cun line 34 points back and now Erica follow in Lane five pink top starting her set of 15 muscleups and she’s starting to fall back yeah she really took a moment before she got up there to compose herself for her first set it really surprised me it was almost like she needed to check her mind before she got up on the Rings but we don’t got time for this in an event like like this specifically You’ got to be fast in a blur through those [Music] transitions Carn Stanley has now taken her first break on the muscleups as Foo continues to work Amanda barnhard who is first in the Rings has also broken F wow looking to go unbroken here Lane four meanwhile Lexi Neely who comes in in a qualifying spot and F goes unbroken as well Lexi Neely in the blue pants Ninth Place overall this is exactly what we wanted to Sean and Foo took that breath cuz she knew she had 15 in the bank if she could take her time wow F’s on the thech right side your screen Carol sley who’s got to get past bolo is belting up for the lunge here [Music] Lexi Neely took a brief break now Foo is threatening to catch her time to beat bottom left hand part of your screen belongs to kalista Lang ericao will take a break as Lexi Neely continues to work if Lexi Neely finishes 10th or better in this event she clinches a spot okay did that break did that calculated break come in handy here oh no ref for folo that is going to be big as Foo has to retreat now Carolyn Stanley has pass her up follow right back to work ashy Lane 10 meanwhile top of your screen Ashley wasney a no rep at the end and she’s got to go back Amanda barard in Lane three and up in Lane number eight that’s Khloe Goin David who is 20 points out she’s going to win the Heat and now in Lane six Jordan shefs is in Lane nine Elizabeth Wishard and Ashley wasney are across and now the two women who are in qualifying spots coming into this heat still on the floor and here comes feast a this is where it’s so hard you got to have that element of tunnel vision we seen several ladies get tempted into bad choices in these final moments and it is falling apart for Erica Foo as she’s gotten passed by the entire field a no rep for Lexi Neely now as Caitlin Sanders is in ne’s got to go back and Retreat and get her dumbbells and bring them back and now here comes f sagafi sagafi is in right now sagafi in 12th Place in the event likely to change cuz we have one more heat to go here but Erica AO and Lexi Neely looking like they’re going to fall out of contention here in the final event the Neely is finally [Music] in this is how close it was coming in the fullo has two sections remaining and she just cannot get past it Lexi NE 16th Place in the event right now if that holds he picks up 55 points droing de just so happy that she was able to seize the moment and get across that Finish Line in the way that she did oh my goodness this is why we have to see it all the way through one minute remains and ericao is now in danger of getting time capped you mentioned kloe Goin David wins the heat but right now third best in the event that would be good enough for 94 points as you take a look at Elizabeth Wishard who also came in across the Finish Line ahead of everybody else she took fourth place in the heat we talked about gorilla grip being a big focus of this Sean it’s not her legs that are that are given out on folo necessarily it’s her grip she can barely hang on and she can’t she continues to fail the last lunge and it’s literally just her hands being peeled open this is one of those moments where you you telling yourself hey I’m doing the very best I can I’m giving everything that I’ve got but my body’s just not responding the way that I needed to Chloe Goin David has picked up enough points on neie and F the question is there were a few women between her and a qualifying spot Carolyn Stanley and F aafi now she did beat both of them across the Finish Line she beat Stanley right now by five spots and sagafi by nine oh boy Carn Stanley pardon me she’s going to take sixth place in the heat eighth in the event right now which will be good for 79 points but again this is all going to change depending on what happens exactly it’s like I’m up here sweating buckets now all of a sudden and uh we still got another heat ready to take the floor canun you can l [Music] here are your heat results Chloe Goin David 3 29.95 seconds right now the third best score in the event would be good for 94 points she was 20 points out of a qualifying spot and looks like she has done enough right now to have a solid chance final heat coming up next [Music] [Music] final heat of the final event here in Knoxville Tennessee as we close out the 2024 Syndicate Crown inside the Knoxville Civic Coliseum it’s been a fun day three glad you’re with us everybody I’m sea Woodland with Adrien Conway Bella Martin is down on the competition floor overall standings coming in top three women have all clinched Danielle Brandon has all but clinched and Haley Adams is very safe as well Brook wels and Shelby Neil they just need to avoid a disaster along with paig semenza but Lexi Neely and anuka Greer still have a lot of work to do ericao we just saw disaster strike her as Khloe Goin David who came in just 20 points out could could be could be inside the top 11 right now sh there’s a lot on the line this final event is going to be fast as we just saw 22 calories on the Echo Bike 15 ring muscleups 70t dumbbell walking lunges with the dumbbells at their siid they’re 70 lbs go rug steps to success here we saw these come into play in the last oh my goodness did we ever push don’t send on the bike you’ve got to have a very aggressive Pace but it can’t cost you late and then gorilla grip oh my goodness see 70 lb Behemoth in each hand for these women are causing all kinds of grief they got to be mindful of their grip stamina as they finish here are the 10 women who will be in this fourth and final heat again all of these women more or less looking in a spot at the games right now anuka Greer started the competition in an early heat here she is in the final heat and one event away from making it to the games for the first time in her career for more on her let’s bring in B Martin ANUK Greer climbing out of that 34th Place position from day one now in 10th by by three points she is no stranger to being one position out of the games she needed to beat Neely in the previous heat and f that heat went disaster all she needs to do is flawlessly execute this one and she’ll finally have done it guys she’ll finally go to the games Penza meanwhile has been pretty consistent throughout this competition other than that 26th Place finish everything ninth or better hey and do I like that t-shirt to go with this mindset ride or die on the Echo Bike is what it’s going to be for Paige now keep in mind the lunge played a huge aspect in the last Heat that we just saw 63% of the time there’s any type of lunging present for Paige she’s got a top 10 finish standby final heat is underway hustle up is the official timekeeper of the CrossFit semifinals scan the QR code on the screen for a chance to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting CrossFit around the globe terms and conditions apply 22 calories on the Echo Bike needs to be dealt with first here before we get to the race for the 15 muscleups that’s right you can see it these ladies all focused on that monitor tunnel vision taking place locked in on the pace that they set out with their team with their coach with their advisor whomever it was that they practice these workouts with and got advice with they they stick it to a pace so that they don’t go too fast for blowing up on the Rings or running into trouble on the dumbbells Penza on the left relatively safe coming in eighth place overall for simenza with 350 points onuk career on the right came in in 10th place with 322 points but as you heard Bella mentioned because of what happened in the prior heat her situation got much less precarious but she still has to have a solid performance here to stay inside the top 11 it’s going to be Alexis raptus on the Rings first really setting the tone with a fast bike raptis Haley Adams and Tumi now Brook Wells and Daniel Brandon getting started here comes ANUK Greer onto the Rings Lexi Neely has started her set so all the women onto the 15 muscleups here going to break it they’re going to split it they’re going to go 10 and five it all falls shoulder what capacity do they have it hasn’t really been common for us to see women go unbroken completely on the ring muscleup we’ve seen a hand less than a handful but it’s more about when they break rather than if they do so we’re going to see some women come down how can they manage the time that they take the break before they get back on those Rings Monica G is going to take a break if she finishes ninth or better in this event she will clinch PA s menza on the left she’s got to finish 18th or better and shocking Tumi goes unbroken on the muscle left she will be the first to the 70 lb dumbbells and that 72t walking lunge and here comes Emma Lawson to join her along with Alexis [Music] raptus wow see not even taking a real gather step between these lunges almost just just one step after another across the floor final rep for Greer Daniel Brandon Haley Adams and Shelby Neil are all done as well the top time is kalista Lang 31681 seconds probably not for much longer as Tia Tumi is looking to earn her fifth in here at the semifinals yeah gorilla grip on TIA Clair Tumi to say the least Tia Tumi will see it in Texas as you go for number seven five wins for TI Tumi rapis is in and Emma Lawson is across here comes Danielle Brandon Emma did not stand up her last lunge all the way she’s going to have to go back for the next 12 F not terrible for her she’s already clinched she’s okay Daniel Brandon coming in along with Haley Adams and Shelby Neil anuka Greer is struggling she’s still okay here it’s paig zenza looking to lock up a trip to the game Shelby Neil just finished up I didn’t know she was going to have to go back the whole 12 ft shot I thought she had was taking it calculated rest there not the case sens is in she needed an 18th or better to clinch and it looks look like she’s going to get it Brook Wells is a cross now you see her chalking her hands in her thumb she’s going to try to looks like maybe get a hood grip on these [Music] dumbbells Here Comes anuka Greer remember the good thing for her is the two women immediately behind her in the overall standings really struggled with this event and now the same thing is happening to Greer [Music] as you can tell it’s not a lower body limitation for she lunges this weight like it’s absolutely nothing it is truly the grip stamina that is creating this obstacle for so many of the women P to men’s is going to take 14th un officially so it looks like she clinches here comes Greer across the Finish Line Greer gets 24th in the event that’s going to be good enough for 32 points we got to check on the prior Heats here as Neely is going to take 25th F’s going to take 38 but sagafi took 20th so sagafi is going to earn 43 points and pick up 11 on Greer so this one’s going to be close oh my gosh so close great finish by is in oh boy Sean sagafi Goin David still very much alive ANUK Greer still alive as [Music] [Applause] well well they like to make it exciting to say the [Applause] least I know a lot of back of the napkin math is being done on the sidelines here that was genuinely I just I needed to actually know hey man this is a tough spot to be in here veteran athlete fi want nothing more than a punch an opportunity to get to Fort Worth Texas for another appearance at the CrossFit games but right now it’s just hurry up and wait and really speculate and wonder be curious if you did enough to make it happen fi was 32 points back of anuka Greer for 10 sagafi is going to pick up 11 points on Greer so the question is now that final spot it one three women for two spots here Goin David sagafi and Greer p s menza needed an 18th Place place or better to clinch and unofficially shees 14 and we had quite the race I mean it was head to head coming out the gate we knew what was on the line anak Greer had no problem with the ring muscleups which we thoroughly anticipated each woman took their own rest periods navigated these in a smooth way but it was the grip stamina that really really caused not just anak Greer alone but several women in this final a lot of devastating moments as we see her taking one dumbbell back at a time semenza paced it just right had just enough Reserve in her arms and in her hands to finish in a sure way and give herself the opportunity that she’s looking for to go to Fort [Music] Worth TI Tumi wins five of the six events the only woman to go sub three Alexis raptis will take second kalista L finishes third and Dana piran Heat number one with her best finish of the competition Chloe Goin David’s going to wind up in sixth place that’s going to earn her 85 points she looks to be inside the top 10 but again it’s sagafi Greer and Goin David we think for those final two [Music] spots I’ve been thoroughly impressed with Goin David throughout the course of this weekend you know a former team athlete we’ve seen her at the CrossFit Games she’s been in the space for a little while decided hey I’m going to give it an individual run this year she’s given herself an opportunity we’ll see how it plays out yeah she’s going to have some nerve-wracking moments here well two athletes that we are fairly confident saying are heading to the Cross games are with Bella Martin Emma Lawson not only have you been on the podium you’ve been rookie of the year now you’re almost likely going back to the games what does this weekend mean to you what was your mindset going into it I’m done a lot of work on myself in this off season um particularly on the mental side and it was really nice to see it pay off this weekend so I’m feeling super lucky and grateful and I had a great experience so yeah I love that you say that I think a lot of the athletes this weekend have been having fun how do you maintain that through the weekend it’s stressful there’s a lot going on how do you keep that where do you build that strength from uh I don’t know I guess just trying to remember why I do this I’ve been staying with my parents so we’ve been playing games in the evening and talking about normal things and just yeah thank you Emma [Applause] Alexis you are one of our favorite athletes to watch because you’ve come through the ranks as a teen you’re also here as an individual you’ve done the hard work to get here what do you have to say to these newer girls that are trying to do what you’ve done um I would say be very patient um and honestly celebrate every single win don’t take a single day for granted and don’t compare yourself to anyone else to not compare yourself to anyone else that’s a hard thing to do how do you plan on growing within the next couple weeks leading up to Dallas Fort Worth yeah uh take a few days off off and um get back to it um work on all the weaknesses and stuff that it’s going to show up at the games and just have fun like that’s what it’s about this is the funnest time of the year and getting outside of the gym and just getting the opportunity to do this is amazing so just being very grateful for every day ladies thank you we are grateful for both of you paig simenza looking like she did enough it’s really three women now for one spot Y didon and kreer Khloe Goin David or ffi do enough it looks like only one of them is going to make it and it’s going to be really close while we wait our US Army moment of the day event number five L of fish didn’t win the event but certainly won the hearts of the crowd there’s no doubt about it a young young competitor 20 years young has a listed Max of less than the weight that we watched her hit two times Sean it was the crowd that got behind her the moment that Syndicate ground 11th Place Lexi Neely Caroline Stanley Chloe Goen David Paige semenza Brook Wells Haley Adams Shelby Neil Danielle Brandon Emma Lawson Alexis raptis and your champ for 2024 Syndicate Crown Tia Claire to me you can’t help but feel for Anica career another close call for her and the difference between her and the woman ahead of her was just a couple of seconds in this event and that would have been the difference and you think back to what Bren fikowski went through early in his career with the Heartbreak that he faced and now what he’s built himself into and absolutely I mean look these are these are these are the best moments of opportunities for us in our careers to announce that who’s going and these are also the worst to see some of the shortcomings of athletes like anakah that are going through you hope that it continues to build some character for her and allow her to continue to stay in the fight cuz one day she can live that dream Khloe Goin David did enough in heat three and gets into Ninth Place to head back to the CrossFit Games as an individual for the first time since 2018 Lexi Neely barely hangs on to that final spot by one point over anuka Greer and Lexi Neely is with B Lexi congratulations you are going to the CrossFit games again your first time as an individual not in the age group division it’s been since 2018 since you’ve seen that floor going to see if these boys can but sure enough just as I said Mark Juan Jones in five and Garrett Clark in seven going to try to test Mr Porter score Austin Spencer in Lane nine he’s up onto the Rings Clark in Lane seven this was going to be quick fast in a hurry who’s going to stay on the Rings to make it down here underneath that time to beat from heat W marqua Jones Center of the floor in Lane five was the first of those ring muscleups he is not come off yet we’re going to see if any of these boys want to go unbroken Simon elain hit is up on the Rings Maran Jones drops with just about four let’s go Knoxville big big Smith what a show great job gentlemen great job crowd speaking of great job than [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] got [Applause] [Music] [Music] a [Music] you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] two Heats remain in the final event for the men here at The Syndicate crowd and they will go a long way towards deciding who winds up in for Worth Texas at the 2024 CrossFit Games I’m Sean Woodley with former affiliate Cup champion Adrien Conway Bella Martin is the third member of our broadcast team down on the competition floor Alexander Corone is The Marked Man he is in the final heat Travis Mayer Alex voho and Seth stal along with Taylor self are all in this heat they’re going to have to put up some good scores in order to get inside the cut lines event six it’s an all out Sprint yeah there’s there’s a bit of drama involved we’re going to have a 30 calorie Echo Bike 15 ring muscle up 72t dumbbell walking lunge with the men having 100 lb on each hand we’ve seen the go Ruck steps to success really come into a play especially for the women that’s right and and the strategies are still the same here push don’t send on the bike but the men are going to send it a little bit more aggressively and then gorilla grip on the backside we watch the failure of the grip stamina be a huge indicator of success on the lunges will be nine men on on the floor here as Jake Burman has withdrawn Luke Parker will be in Lane six right now he is on the right side of the cut line Parker comes in in Ninth Place overall he’s got an 18-point cushion and for more on him let’s bring in Bella Martin luk in that Ninth Place position he’s at great going into this last one talked to his wife she said he is absolutely amazing she’s praying for him and hope he’s ready for a busy summer if he can clinch this one he’s going to have the busiest summer of his life TR May right now on the wrong side of the cut line but only by three points as he Trails Alexander Corone and if it there was ever a time for Travis to go full Trevor this is it this is it his opportunity seven Time games athlete when you say full Trevor we know he can seize the moment with some high intensity output Seth stoval there with no shirt in lane two another man will be watching and Taylor self in the black shirt in the middle of your screen there in lane four another man who has an outside chance here here he’s 40 points out but remember in this building we saw Will Morad make up 76 points in the final event to get in so still a lot needs to be decided here 30 calories on the bike Jack farlo has the top time 2.07 and they’re cooking Sean 30 seconds off and 28 for Luke Parker Alex Veno is off Veno 13th Place overall he’s nine points back about Alexander Corone for that final spot these guys got to be mindful not just executing the ring muscle up they really got to show the judge that they’re giving them a solid lockout we’ve seen athletes historically through the last two weeks get no reped and it’s completely thrown off their performance the Travis Mayer left side of your screen also trying to put up a solid result here three points behind Alexander Corone and Corone will have the advantage of going in the final heat so knowing what he will have to do to keep that qualifying spot we know mayor’s really got his back to the wall he’s got a have a big performance here watch him try to relax on these muscle ups he’s laying back all the way eyes up towards the ceiling eyes closed on the way through patient with the kip I really like to see helps him firm up his lockout position on the left here he’s going to try to go unbroken Parker’s going to break two remain for Travis mayor Alex Vino’s done vieno again trying to get inside that top 11 and mayor is through and here comes Luke Parker Dre STM as well STM on the far right side of your screen it’s not about who picks up the dumbbells first it’s about who can stay the test and not get themselves a costly no rep just shy of a yellow line speaking of with SE stoval who’s trying to work his way in he just got a no rep he got sent back stovall’s on his lunge time to beat bottom left hand part of your screen Alex Vino’s in the lead But Here Comes Dre strum the guy ven’s got to worry about though isn’t on the floor right now and that’s Alexander Coro and voo is going to break Luke Parker continuing to work great strum absolutely demolishing this [Applause] event and strum is going to come across the finish line and win the Heat 222 unofficially for Dre sto Travis mayor and Taylor self is gaining [Applause] ground and say Stow ball came in as well mayor and battling for position here mayor is in Taylor self is in Seth Stovall what a charge for him he got a no rep he was way behind the pack a furious charge out Luke Parker this is bad news for him Parker was in Ninth Place 323 points he only had an 18-point cushion on Travis [Applause] mayor this is where that full sent on the bike can come back to bite you and now Parker is across Luke was the very first athlete off the bike and if you’ve ever done a full Sprint on an Echo Bike you know the pain doesn’t hit right away it’s really delayed and so 90 seconds after is where you start to reap the full consequences of an allout Sprint Here Comes Spencer panic and Beno buan J as Alex Veno got sent back a section and Veno could be watching a game spot disappear as he had an outside shot he was only n points [Music] back the dumbbells at the end of this workout could potentially be renamed the Devastator Sean the 170lb Devastators we’ve just seen it fall apart for so many athletes on that final lunge and Alex Voo is going to need a lot of help in that final [Music] heat Travis May really setting himself up with a good opportunity here especially knowing that ven Vigo struggled there and a heat waiting on the sideline still waiting to take the floor How About Dre Strom 2 2.29 seconds the top Time by nearly 30 stth stoal still alive he was 36 points out we got a lot of drama left to play out here but it was Luke Parker who came out early now he was hot out the gate we said push don’t send and I’m afraid Luke might have sent it Just a Touch Too aggressively out the G we know that the fatigue from an allout send on an echo bik can be a bit delayed so the ring musle Wen a problem he broke it once as many other men did that’s okay but then when he got to the dumbbells they presented a unique problem as well as they did there with the with Mr Alex Vigo we had some stutters and some wobbles it looked like a bit of wobbles and the lower body for Luke Parker but it was the grip for Vigo he struggled there tried to hold on towards the end and one rip out Luke but he just couldn’t make it happen Luke was able to make his way across that finish line and Salvage some points there at the finish right now Luke Parker Ninth Place in the event we will see if he can hang on to a final spot last Heat coming up next [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] [Music] who’s going to come out on top in Rocky Top we are down to the final heat in Knoxville Tennessee as the 2024 Syndicate crown comes to a close I’m sea Woodley with Adrien Conway and Bella Martin is down on the competition floor 11 men moving on from this semi-final to the CrossFit Games Jeff Adler now your overall Leader by 12 points over Roman krenov we just saw Luke Parker struggle with those dumbbells he is in trouble Alexander under Corone now knows what he needs to do to hang on to that 11th and final spot because both Travis Mayer and Seth Stovall put up solid performances and Taylor self has an outside chance so the pressure is on Alexander Corone for event six there’s a lot of drama that could be played out in this short event it’s 30 calories on the Echo Bike 15 ring muscleups in a 72t dumbbell walking lunge with what I’m calling the Devastators these 100lb dumbbells on each side go Ruck steps to success once again we have seen them be a huge Factor here now these guys are going to bite fast there’s no question but they’ve got to push and leave a little in reserve so don’t send it all the way and then gorilla grip on the back back half with these dumbbells they’re extremely heavy and coming off those rings that grip is tired Lane assignments Lanes three through eight are all relatively safe as corn Adler krenov and Pepper have all clinched Hopper and panic just need to avoid in a disaster along with Ros and Austin Hatfield Tyler christell though he still has some work to do and for more on him and the man he is trying to Chase Alexander coron here’s Bella Martin the drama is right boys Alex coron last year had to withdraw gone to the games four times so he’s trying to get that fifth ticket only three points separated him and Travis Mayer Travis Mayer put up a time to beat is it going to be enough to get Alex cron back to the games we’ll see if he can hold on to those destroyers Adrien hey let me tell you we’ll see if he can hold on and look at this man right here Tyler christell he’s found himself in this situation this isn’t the first time his backs to the wall but he’s sitting in a good spot he’s just got to Simply execute and handle business historically he’s not great at lunges Sean but those often come in the front racker overhead these are dumbbells by his side and I know Tyler has got high levels of work capacity so if he can just be himself and Trust his Fitness we’re going to watch him go to the Crosser games this year Jeff Adler has moved back into the overall lead open the competition with a win has yet to finish outside the top six coming off a fourth place finish in event five to overtake krenov for the top spot in the overall leaderboard he’s got a 12-point lead over [Applause] Roman and we are underway 30 calories on the bike hustle up is the official timekeeper of the cross at semifinals scan the QR code on the screen for a chance to win a CrossFit World Tour visiting CrossFit gyms around the globe terms and conditions applied Jason Hopper trying to rip the arms off that thing there’s Alexander Corone his judge’s hand is already in the air you can power the city with the amount of energy being output right now oh my goodness man if you were on the floor I’m surprised the judges are still on a knee and they’re not blown off their knees coron’s going to be the first man off the bike his Destiny is in his own hands right now the time he’s got to keep in mind stth Stovall 22643 seconds Travis Mayer came in after that at 237 if he can get in inside there he should be okay meanwhile Tyler chrisell who’s in 10th is still on the bike and he’s only 12 points clear of Travis Mayer but remember this is a big part of it it’s push don’t send and a lot of these guys are being extra aggressive out of the gate and that’s okay as we see cornw still exit in the bike as well and it’s it’s about christell running the race that he knows is going to allow him him to Lunge most efficiently and optimally unbroken Alexander coron has yet to come down he’s got two reps remaining he’s going to have to get through the transition clean on this one oh nice fight from coron that’s huge he’ll make his way to the dumbbells first meanwhile Tyler christell just got no rep on the Rings and hopped down D pepper Jason Hopper Jeff Adler Roman krenov and Saxon Panik are on to the dumbbells and there goes Alexander Corone time to be 22129 seconds from Dre St in the prior heat there is Travis Mayer looking on Wow Karan not even taking a gather step Sean just step after step no problem in the lower body will his grip hold on coron now with just two sections remaining Tyler chrisel meanwhile now just now getting to the dumbbells he readjusted his right hand just now he’s going to even have to get it no he’s going to have to go back oh it didn’t look like he was past that yellow line D pepper looking to win the event and he is in now Corone is back to work Corone is done he is across and he may have done enough krenov now Adler Jack Rosa is [Applause] in Alexander Corone a third place finish unofficially he’s going to earn him 94 points and Tyler christell is in serious trouble right now held just got a huge no rep shot didn’t extend his hips all the way he’s going to have to go back a full section this could help christell if he can come up quick christop on your screen getting sent back Lane eight top of your screen is Sam corway he’s already clinched Here Comes Hatfield across he’s in [Applause] the Saxon Panic also relatively safe Tyler christell still on the floor Hatfield’s going to take 14th in the [Applause] event and here comes Tyler christell who to see the grip go christell with only 12 points clear of the cut line you see Taylor self giving Travis a fist bump saying like hey this could be in your favor right here brother you might be making it because of this and now christell is in we’ll wait for his result 29th in the event Travis mayor took eight may or may have done it Corone looks like he did enough and don’t forget about Seth stoval here man Seth stoval starting that lunge in the last Heat getting a no rep going complete Beast Mode no Gathering steps going completely unbroken across to the Finish giving himself an opportunity to look on and wonder did he do enough to go to the CrossFit Games Tyler christell ran into some problems here he was in 10th Place coming in that man did not Travis Mayer now needs to see if he has done enough fingers crossed he gave us the fingers crossed to the camera how about Alexander coron the pressure was on and he was not going to be denied dude the pressure was on Not only was he the first off the bike Shan but somehow he was able to remain composed enough stay fluid enough on these ring muscle ups to squeak his way through the final two transitions for r 14 and 15 to go completely unbroken now Tyler chrisell there you see it obvious no wck he’s not pushing up vertically you got to stay over the Rings in the lock out and he was pushing back quite aggressively and that cost him there that was just the beginning of his troubles and lost of momentum in this event early but we see Karan top of your screen had no relenting no stopping and no hesitating it looked like he barely snuck by the line here reset his grip took a step back and then was able to finish in a secure way in order to give himself a chance to be gone into Port Worth Texas to the Crosser games here for 2024 Alexander rone what a finish for him and then Tyler christell just running into problems on that lung you can see the grip starting to go he has to retreat you hate it for him Sean it’s like I tried to queue him up from here hey take your time trust your Fitness and this has happened to him before in the final event on a lunge he got no rep towards the end of the event D Pepper’s going to pick up the win Dre St will take second Alexander Corone best performance when he needed it C sta winds up in fourth and Travis mayor is in eighth let’s send it down to Bella Martin with Jeff Adler Jeff it’s good to be here with you as the returning fittest man on Earth how was your mindset going to the weekend you just told me you did not just come here to compete you came here to win is that what you’re thinking about all through the weekend oh yeah sure I mean anybody that would be in my position or even the my closest competitors are here to win they’re here to win every competition that we go to so yeah it was in the back of my mind uh did some mistakes but hopefully it ends up uh on my side something I’ve love to watch is your camaraderie with your fellow athletes with d with Roman with all these athletes how do you build those relationships outside of the competitive side of things as well I mean we’ve been competing against each other for a few years now so I just see these guys once in a while and uh it’s fun to be around them like they know we all know what we’re going through and how hard we train so it’s just something in common we have the last thing I’m curious to know most people will never be the fittest of anything how does the fittest man on Earth level up to do it again uh you have to close your eyes and go hard I mean I trust my coaches I trust my training and I just have to be mindful that I’ve put in the work and uh hopefully it pays off not all the time but hopefully most of the time hopefully most of the time congratulations good luck thanks [Applause] Jeff Tyler christell needs to figure out if he did enough and he ran into some trouble there at the end and he may have watched that games qualifying spot slip away because of what Alexander coron was able to do and Travis Mayer in the prior heat and Seth Stow ball oh my what an exciting race and everybody now it’s just sayy hurry up and wait this is one of the worst circumstance situations you could ask for some are hopeful like hey this is going to be my first opportunity some are completely heartbroken Sean because hey they’ve been in this situation before or they’re expecting to go back to the games and then they didn’t perform up to their own expectations we got a full mixed bag out on the competition floor right now Alexander coron got to be impressed with him pressure was on he delivers with a third place finish that’s right we we talk about relationships we see a lot of this take place right now these guys jaw jacking back and forth hey saying great job proud of you bro you did your thing these guys a lot of them train amongst each other or against each other or compete throughout the year they understand admire and respect each other because everyone knows the sacrifice and the compromise it comes with getting to this level and competing at the elite level Sean I got to mention because it would be remiss to not mention this D pepper said hey Roman we got one more bike event left I’ll see you on the other side of that one calling a shot did stoval do enough though to get [Applause] in scores are being tabulated there are some disputes that need to be dealt with as well so hang tight when we come back we’ll have the 11 men going to Fort wor Texas to compete in the 2024 Crossing games [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] n [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] only three points over D pepper three points over Roman kov Jason Hopper he will take fourth Sam corn rounding out the top five and Travis Mayer 384 points courtesy of his performance in that final event winds up in 10th and Luke Parker hangs on by 15 points over Seth Stovall who had a solid showing in that final event but just wasn’t enough and Taylor self great competition for him with 344 points what a great group of guys that are going to be going to Fort Worth Texas they’re going to have a busy Mr Parker might have to be on standby I think he might have an expected arrival sometime in August so he might be busy building cribs and getting some things ready to rock and roll but he’ll be having a busy summer training as well let’s send it down to Bella Martin who is with Luke Parker and Travis Mayer Luke you just officially qualified for the CrossFit Games once again in that final position you did what you needed to do how does that make you feel right now well first of all I got to give all the glory to God cuz he gave me the opportunity and then I want to give every single one of you fans a shout out cuz the energy was unbelievable thank you guys but all in all I’m just super grateful at the end of the day just to be able to represent the CrossFit Community CrossFit Mayhem and my friends and family so super grateful for the opportunity well this is going to be a very big summer for you I know you and your wife are expecting kids this summer how are you going to manage training and possibly being a new father come CrossFit Games time well one of my good buddies who uh tucked me under his wing when I first started crossfits right next to you Travis mayor who has four or five okay I almost messed it up four children they’re here right here in the front hey mayor family wave what’s up guys so I mean to answer your question the motivation the motive stays the same but the motivation is different and it’s a lot heav year since we have a child on the way so my wife Jennifer I forgot where she’s at she’s over here so we’re super fired up and yeah that’s going to give me a spark for training for sure it’s been good thank you Luke you said it Family Man a father they’re actually here with us this weekend welcome mayor family does that add to the meaning of this qualification making it your ninth ever CrossFit Games Travis yeah for sure uh I mean I wouldn’t be able to do it without them uh the support that my wife does from allowing me to train as much as I do and still to watch all four of them it meant uh I needed to step up on the final one I mean the handstand one didn’t go as planned and then neither did the second one so had to make sure I capitalized here on the third one and for those of you that follow along the journey it’s uh I like to make it a nailbiter for everybody on the final round of the event six multiple years so we’re keeping it alive but we’re going back and I’m pretty excited we’re excited for you as well I’m sure you’re family is too you’ve got four kids what lessons are you hoping they’re learning from you as you’re continuing on this CrossFit Journey oo how a good one uh a lot of them never to give up I think that’s the biggest thing is no matter what when my back is against the wall I’m going to find a way to get out of it and I hope that they’ll always learn that that no matter what if they don’t achieve what they want the first time or you miss the games or you miss qualifying or you get injured that you can always kind of keep coming back and chase after whatever you want to do congratulations in more ways than one boys we’ll see you in Madison we’ll see you in Dallas new place I [Applause] know last week Co Sager like I got to stop making this thing exciting Travis May said And then no rep Amanda when she actually WAS below depth!! What?!?
Man every year the judging is just AWFUL and it’s crazy CrossFit haven’t done a damn thing about it
Tia did not only got 🥇, but dominated!
Bad camera angles. We want to see the whole field. Do better crossfit
Are Sean and co told to be leaderboard analysts? Can you just call the event and not focus solely on who's gonna get last spot? Give my mute button a rest pls
Did Anhika get no repped bc db's rested on thigh, bc L Fish is doing it in the same shot but not getting dinged?
Can I see standings for 1-10 b4 event 6 too? Some ppl still watching the tourney, not just fixating on spot 11
59:15 Absolute Terrible Judge for Alexis Raptist …. She was Clearly past the Green Line. I know She touched the White Line with a couple fingers at the end, Is that the Issue??? if so, it's rediculous
She is BACK – TIA IS BACK🎉🎉🎉🎉❤!
Are they mispronouncing Cournoyer's name? I always pronounce it Ca noy er… or Ca noy ey
From a weightlifters perspective… Tias time in the snatch is definitely the most impressive
Who the hell rows like this? 26:33
crossfit should consider replay
Whoever did the math on the women’s final event scores needs some help. How did Chloe Gavin-David pick up 105pts in 1 event if it’s only worth 100pts???? She got 6th in the event which would have earned her 85pts and considering she started the event with 264pts she would have had 349pts not 369. In which case Anikha Greer would be in the 11th spot and Chloe would be in 12th.
1:03:01 that’s a strange rowing technique (women next to H.A)
Toomey is phenomenal
Hailey killed it in event 4 and the commentators didn’t even notice it right away. Seriously.
Luke Parker sounds so oafy when he speaks 😂
Tia-Claire is STILL a monster!!! 💪💪💪💪
Adler the Boon.

Respectfully, I know it's a big challange and it costs extra money, but the 300k people paying for Open deserves better coverage of our beloved sport. Placing rep counters on top of the screen (like on crossfit games) is a must for watching a sport as chaotic as crossfit. At least for semifinal level events. Much more people would watch that.
Show the entire field 😤 its so frustrating to watch close finishes with these silly zoom ins. Especially on the final heats of the event…
Do people not know that if an athlete thinks they got a bad no rep call that they can appeal the call? Scores were adjusted based on appeals during the semifinal.
I love how they’re talking up Danielle Brandon and they never mentioned Hayley in the beginning of the row handstand event. Bam, Hayley wins!
Who let Greers bf do the camera work?
Watching fish hit her lifts 15lb PR for 2
I was crying. Her team/family support too ❤️
Don’t give up! Fee or Anikha!!! Always a fan! You guys got this! ❤️❤️
For some reason I think the judge mess up on Greer because she was trying to hold the db and adjust instead lunging and she was send all the way back
Oh well I guess its the mens competition that will actually be competitive for first place this year at the games.
WHY NOT ADD THE EXESCISES OF THE EVENT WE ARE WATCHING AND SINCE ITS A WORLDWIDE COMMUNITY HAVE KGS LBS INCHES AND CENTERMETERS?… YOUR COVERAGE IS TERRIBLE?, WATCH SOME OLYMPIC GAMES EVENTS AND DO THE MATH SO EVERYONE IS VISIBLE???? WTF
Tia is absolutely a beast.
For sure I thought Anikha Greer was going to the games. Those 70 lb dumbbells did her in. Hope to see her come back next year.
some of the girls have really good muscles
That last muscle up for Caron was a no rep, his feet went way over the rings
She's a machine
Love watching this and not a " toe" to be seen
🤣🤣🤣
And no friken interview with Tia Clare Toomey whe went sub 3 minutes
Oh wait on shes not a american
how is that a no rep, 3:48:07!? need better judges
