Tennessee and Texas A&M provided additional disappointment for Alabama in 1967. Ken Stabler was some QB. He had to wait until 1976 Oakland Raiders to start on a Championship team.
I went to that game in Birmingham as an FSU senior. It put FSU football on the map that year.
A tie game…I do not see how that put Florida St on the map with a tie game…Nobody won…
Stabler was the quarterback of the 1966 team which was one of Alabama's best teams of all time. It was undefeated and denied the national championship by too much voting power in the North.
