Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

you might remember seeing a video on the main Channel where I got custom fit for a brand new ping putter the price of that fitting including the putter was £22,000 I went to lbur University went on the Zen putting green like we’ve got here went through the Ping putting app and got this perfect putter for me that was the claim now when it arrived quite a few weeks actually months later it arrived in this and I was uh somewhat underwhelmed a bit of a simple White Plain box and inside it doesn’t get much better to be honest with you there’s a certificate of authenticity a bit of a padding a massive ball marker it’s not really ball marker but it’s a putting tool that you might throw down and put to and then inside you got the putter now I’ll be honest was underwhelmed in fact you could say I absolutely slagged that off because for £2,000 youd expect to expect something a bit more special now the putter itself actually I’ve had it in the bag ever since unboxing it out of that white box um a bit more criticism it kind of went Rusty this RS went Rusty at the bottom there’s actually some Rust spots even on the top certainly if it’s been raining or there’s been um some sort of chemicals or whatever on the putting green it can definitely affect the putter I’ve actually performance- wise I’ve actually really really been enjoying using this putter now ping saw the video of course they did and they were uh they were as disappointed as I was and they said you know we’re going to learn from that experience and improve the unboxing experience and Fair Credit to Ping they’ve listened and inside this but this isn’t the actual Box by the way but inside this box is the new experience and remember this experience is £2,000 you as a customer go for a DI hard fan of ping potentially you’ve gone and you spent your 22,000 you’ve gone for this fitting experience which again I think these elevat improving still but your putter finally arrives and this now is what I believe is the unboxing experience for everyone that goes for that two ,000 custom fit spirit it’s first off I mean already looks better doesn’t it it just looks cleaner there’s this nice plld custom sleeve it comes in this Sleek matte black box already kind of feels a little bit more sturdy I mean that that’s that’s what you’d expect from an unboxing wouldn’t you from such a product at such a high price I’ve actually not seen this yet what’s inside it I’m guessing there a putter oh yeah oh yeah that’s a bit nicer and granted another certificate of authenticity but inside is the Potter exactly the same it’s got the same grip same shaft oh there is something different though there is but that it’s heavy actually um I don’t get my my there’s no oh pink you didn’t give me the ball marker or the putting tool anyway hopefully they can add that to everyone else’s order this is different this head cover oh it’s a it’s a lot different that that’s a nice head cover don’t get me wrong but look at this that oh nice inside furry inside oh and it’s exactly the same that look at the difference this is what’s crazy I’ve had this two or three months look at the RS logo underneath now that looks so nice yeah look how much it rusted from what I understand it’s cuz they’ve stripped the paint away and basically exposed the metal and therefore obviously it’s more subject to uh to rust I’m not going to I don’t think I’m going to swap for the new version as much as it’s very tempting I’ll have that as a backup version but I tell you what I will do I SW top the head cover cuz that’s a bit nice that’s more like it ping thanks for listening and hopefully if you do go for that experience which again I think is wildly too expensive but if you do at least now you’re going to get a much better experience when your putter finally arrives and guys that’s the whole point of this channel hit honest independent trustworthy cuz I’ll tell it how it is if I’m not happy with something I say it and on this occas the brands have listened and theyve improved the experience which Fair do now I still think it’s ridiculous expensive for a putter fitting but at least now when your putter finally does arrive it will be in that beautiful box with a much more premium head cover and it’s just elevated experience guys thanks for watching make sure you subscribe that’s exactly what we do here on hit
