the top of the leaderboard was packed today and in the end David poge Carlos Ortiz Paul Casey and Adrian Mor all finish tied at the top of the individual leaderboard Fireball GC finishes day two at the top of the team leader board and we are here to talk about all that and more welcome to Club 54 post round show the day is beautiful and I am your host Christian Crosby welcome to the show I mean my goodness that leaderboard is phenomenal the guys played amazing golf today welcome to Club 54 post round show we are actually going to check in right now live with Carlos Ortiz and Adrien Moran they are getting their press interviews as we speak let’s tune in first to see what they have to say after an amazing day two I mean it will feel amazing and the difference would be that I could celebrate it with my teammates um that would be awesome you know um I I’ve done it in om man H’s done it two times and it’s it’s great when you have your people around you my family is here so it would be it would be great but we’re still 18 holes away um anything can happen but I I’ll do my best okay anyone else awesome good luck tomorrow guys hope you hold that lead thank you thank you you over here shot you over here and there goes that final moments of that press conference there having a great day from those two Carlos Ortiz and Adrian Moran and here is our leaderboard David puog coming in hot towards the end of the day finishing 10 under par as you can see we have four guys now doing their thing at the top ten apart Paul Casey Carlos Ortiz who we just heard from and adri Moran of course P dog though had a great day here in Houston I I felt like I was in Adelaide again every single time he stepped up the fans went crazy Hometown hero did his thing nine under par today and Matthew wolf an outstanding day I I got a feeling we’re going to be talking to him soon enough uh but this leaderboard is stacked a phenomenal day too I’m not a psychic he’s actually just standing next to me ladies and gentlemen joining us is Matthew wolf from the range gr and of course my good guy over here Don Boule welcome to Club 54 post round show you got to be feeling fairly good today things were clicking for you how was your day yeah man it was good um you know I kept the ball in play I gave myself a lot of looks and the putts were just dropping so it was fun the breeze was nice it kept me a little cooler and stuff but uh yeah I mean I just hope my putter stays hot D yeah I mean it’s your first time around here Matt right you never played a Tour event here did you like the place when you first saw it yeah I did um to be honest like I’ve just been struggling a little bit with my driver and you know it’s nothing big but I feel like this course it kind of bottlenecks a little bit you know when you when you push it up there and um you know it kind of worked out I’ve been hitting my three-wood really good and stuff and so um coming into the week I was just talking to my caddy Nick and I was like look man we just got to you know play to whatever I feel like I want to hit off the tea and most of the time it don’t really feel good with driver out here so just kind of stuck with the game plan and like I said the putts dropped but uh it was fun it’s so important to find the fairways because these greens are firming up and now this Bermuda you can hit a lot of Flyers so being on the short stuff is absolutely vital isn’t it oh yeah yeah yeah I mean you have to hit Fairways you know it’s hard to score from the rough and I’m sure the the pins will only be firmer and or the pins will be more tucked but the greens will be firmer tomorrow so it’s going to be a battle for sure but I put myself in a good spot to uh you know hopefully get a win so we’ll see how it goes were you having any trouble out here with this heat I know you downplayed it a little bit when you referenced the breeze but it is hot out here like we’re cooking did it uh affect you at all today um I think a little bit towards the end and uh I missed a short one on my last toll for birdie and stuff but um you know towards the end I think I got a little errand um you know it’s just hard man you feel like you can’t drink enough water like you just sweat it all out and stuff and it’s brutal I mean this is a Singapore of the the United States isn’t it but uh fair enough all right so we want to get into some of your highlights of the day you can look at the screen here on the side take us through it tell us what you were thinking in your mind during this time in Dom for free to chime in it’s Matthew B let’s check out these highlights here we go first putt uh what hole is that oh that’s 18 yeah good start good start to the day I mean seeing a putt drop early is always nice this is on the yeah this was a nice bunker shot I was lucky I got kind of an UPS slope and um you know I just clipped it perfectly from the start I from the time I hit it I knew it was going to be close yeah this one was just a little breaker down to the right I mean it was perfect speed I gutted it from the start yeah this was on this was on seven the next toll um B left it short and I kind of knew what was doing so I felt just good like I said the putter was hot I told Nick after I said don’t don’t touch this thing it’s hot man you don’t want to burn yourself you look really good out there Matthew now let’s talk a little bit about the range goats um for any range goats fans that are watching right now what is it like to be a range goat here in live golf league man it’s awesome like just such a great brand really like you know Bubba is such a great leader and role model and I’ve learned so much from him already and stuff but more than anything the Pink’s cool I think I’ve always looked kind of good in pink so kind of I guess I was meant to be here but uh no it’s been awesome Peter and Thomas are also they’re great and I have a good time with them and learn a lot from them so I’m I’m super happy with where I’m at and I don’t really see myself being anywhere else I want to ask you’re the longest team out there the four of you oh for sure who’s the longest of the come on be honest me oh honest I’m honest talk your talk baby talk your talk all right we do this thing every show called form check where we have the fans submit their swings and we want you to check their form the more honest you are the more entertaining this show is the best segments we’ve had is when it’s just a whole lot of truth going on you down for this I am let’s do it Dom you ready yep Dom is ready all right leave it to Matt though all right let’s get into the form check uh Matthew wolf Edition don’t be nice how about that all right here’s the first one all right I’m a newbie so please be kind all right you’re allowed to be kind on this one all right here we go all right man that looked pretty good I’d say the weight was a little bit on the heels and stuff but for a newbie I mean I’ve seen a lot of people that have played for years and years and they don’t look like I mean if you see my swing my swing doesn’t look like that we know you got that iconic swing bro stop it all right so for a beginner you’re saying you’re you approved I like it yeah I like how she’s coming from the inside kind of hidden up on it I mean I know it’s a driver but I think a lot of people have a tendency to kind of come over the top and be steep on it so I like we’re you know kind of hitting that draw and uh I mean yeah it looks good outfit’s on point I mean doesn’t get much better better than that especially when you’re just starting out wow that’s a a great cosign you just gave there I think that’s the one we’re we’re going to show you there so thank you so much for your time you spent all day sure you hit that Fairway just staggering from Bryson the most important thing when learning how to accumulate power that’s when psycho mode comes in try to get a little psycho with it you got to swing as hard as you can you still have to be able to hit it in the center of the face like it’s not easy to swing it that hard and to be able to hit it in the center of the face all the time you know you got the saying drive for show P for dough but if you’re not hitting in the Fairway you’re not giving yourself any opportunity to PP for dough if I’m straight at you if that’s that’s where the target is keep the face open that’s going to make the ball go right you really want to be focused on the target at hand to make it go exactly where I want to those are some simple tips for you guys these tips will improve your game and take you to the next [Music] level uh make sure you guys watch those live lessons there are not many places you can go to look at your favorite golfers and get free golf lessons so make sure you take full advantage of that especially if you’re a live golf league fan all right M come here joining us suen hang and Dom Boule we’re going to talk a little bit about their day right now Dom first and foremost thanks for joining us with Matthew wolf that was a whole lot of fun yeah it is I like Matthew wolf he is one of the most talented players I’ve ever witnessed and I’ve seen a lot of golf over the last 40 45 years and uh he’s du win he’s doing can’t wait to see that all right so Dom you had a great day today take us through your day yeah I follow Sergio Garcia Peter Reed Peter Reed Patrick Peter re is one of my great friends in Hong Kong yeah and wae nean and it was uh three different very different styles of game wae is just hitting it miles really in great control of the ball I mean Patrick Reed was a long way behind waim you know suang as you know 40 50 yards in some places but Reed is such a grinder and he knows he knows how to get around the golf course and he just gives it 100% especially here in Houston he’s grinding for his F friends his family yeah well you know one of the things I pointed out yesterday when I followed him was you know someone from his Camp had mentioned with per we know he’s one of the best overall performers on our league and the fact that he hasn’t won yet is so surprising to me and and they they shed some light on that and said you know sometimes you just want it a little bit too much and you end up trying too hard and as we know that works against you with golf with p today did you see him sort of really be more one shot at a time more in the present moment yeah he was he was but when I interviewed him after the round he could you could tell he was a little disappointed with his round he has he’s not got complete control of his game especially his IR play and uh you know he he realizes with this course firming up he mentioned that a lot of players have mentioned How firm these greens are Paul Casey mentioned it you’ve just got to be on the fairways and he list missed a couple of uh t- shots right couple to the left you can’t play From the Rough here this week certainly not tomorrow when it bakes out even more yeah I mean one of his cryptonite I think his demon is his driver and I know he missed a few yesterday to the left how did he drive it today well he missed a couple to the right missed a couple left he hadit some good ones but uh you know he needs to straighten it up I’m sure he’s going to go with Kevin Kirk his coach his longtime coach they’ll be on the Range now and they’ll be working on it well let’s get into some Patrick Reed highlights Dom take us through it here are the highlights from Patrick Reed in day two check it out here we go well he had to lay up in two on this par five and look at this put right in the middle of the hole he does putt beautifully I said on air that he he looks the most comfortable player over a ball on a short putt like anything from 5 to 8 ft that I’ve seen it looks kind of like sevy reminds me of and then another par five laid up once again and another lovely pitch that’s you know that’s the strength of his game any from about 80 yards and in yeah and yesterday he said in my poster on interview with him that he didn’t play the par fives as well as he wanted to yesterday he was one over Par Bar FS terrible really for professionals to be one over and this is on the 12th second on that short Par Four and then on 13 another beautiful right in the middle of the hole I love what you said on the broadcast that he’s used the same putter for how many years now his whole career I know probably before in his amateur days his college days a little different from Sergio who changes regularly doesn’t he I’m not going to say what I said on there did you feel a big difference from the crowd today I saw a whole lot more people out here and they were surrounding PE dog all day long how was that what did you recognize it was a great Vibe out there and he he acknowledged a lot of his friends and his family out there when he was walking off the uh pting green he’d you know have a little smile acknowledge that he could see them and that thanking them for being here and then when he walked off the tea the same thing but once he walked off the tea walking to his towards his second shot it was business okay now suan you followed a couple maybe even several groups today uh take us through quite a few take us through your day today suan who are you all eight players what happened all yeah I I spent some time uh I started out with uh kimer and SED obviously a lot of pressure on Caleb today as the youngster uh first time leading a Prof professional tournament he shot his lowest professional round yesterday uh you know he said in his press conference that he was about to you know embraced their nerves today he knew there were nerves that were going to happen he didn’t quite have his best today four of a par when he double Bogi that second um I thought you know maybe this could be an indication of perhaps some nerves that were in his system he shook it out and just didn’t quite have it back together but that’s the game of golf he’s still so young Dom that’s exactly what I was going to say he’s 20 years old I’ve got underwear older than him I mean don’t tell people that yeah well it’s true you know he this is a learning process for him he should be a sophomore in college yeah he’s playing out here with some of the best players in the world now he’s going to learn a lot quicker because he’s playing with some of the best players in the world but it takes time there are no shortcuts in this game I mean he admitted to that yesterday in his press conference that he underestimated how much he actually had to learn out here and how steep of that learning curve that is but he’s got some really good mentors in his Camp he’s got Terell Hatton he’s got John ROM he revealed this morning he’s also friends with Tim TBO I mean you got no excuses man he got some pretty high fluting friends hasn’t he yeah and I also followed U Martin kimer obviously windless drought 10 years it’s a been it’s been a long time coming for for kimer and really nice to watch him Trend in the right direction especially heading into the US Open next week where he won uh feels like the stars are aligning for him a little bit he didn’t quite play um the way he wanted to today even par didn’t hurt but certainly didn’t make any movement but he’s not out of it he’s not he’s not out of it and you know he had a wrist injury pretty bad wrist injury you imagine I’ve never had a wrist injury but imagine playing golf and when that you know you know how much force there is when you hit a golf ball and then you follow it by hitting the turf to have an injury like that the trepidation in your mind that you might hurt it more I don’t know what it feels like but he’s battled through it and now he’s on the other side go ahead sorry yeah he certainly gave more trust and confidence and finally the last person I actually followed uh on the back nine was Paul Casey oh my goodness is he in control of his game right now number one in driving accuracy number one in Greens in regulation on the season as well as this week I mean that guy from T to Green was Flawless today he’s been an elite ball Striker for 20 years Paul Casey especially with his well I got a great idea why don’t we take a look at some Paul Casey highlights we put some of them up already let’s put some up here take us through it suan as you see you were right there yeah tell us what happened he started out on hole four this is opening hole wonderful bunker shot there you know he also is long due his last win was back in 2019 at the velpar uh he played really well this year came in sixth um at the DP World Tour event in Singapore he’s obviously came so close in Hong Kong he lost in that playoff uh he’s also contended a couple of times this season I know he was quite candid when he spoke to me on a hangtime last season about some of his own struggles on the golf course mentally and he uh revealed a little bit of that in our post round interview he says you got to be kind to yourself out here you can’t be too hard on yourself and that’s something that I think Caleb will be learning as well along the way from someone like Paul Casey but man he was in control of his ball striking today Dom I mean it was on a string all day he’s iron baring when you watch him on the Range all right let’s take a look at the score worm we referred to it in the past as the tetris video game it does uh resemble that maybe a little bit but uh you’ll be able to break it down so fans can understand let’s take a look at this I love a good game of Tetris Christian don’t we all uh well I mean look at that look at David pu I mean my goodness is he playing some amazing golf he is trending in the right direction as well uh as I said Paul Casey he is playing some phenomenal golf I think he’s definitely due for a win in Adrian he wasn’t 2023 play of the year on the DP W tour for nothing is he no not at all I mean he was a he won four tournaments in the very short period of time and I know a lot of the really top players Superstars and ex top players on the European tour or deep World Tour they think he’s the real deal well you mentioned top players uh let’s talk a little bit about Waco nean who you got to follow around I mean he just seemed laser focused per usual what did you notice from Wako today he’s Picasso no wow no I mean I love following Waco and trying to guess what type of shot he’s going to hit whether it’s going to be a low one or a high one or right to left left to right and you can’t really tell from his setup most guys you can see the way they’re standing to it but with him he kind of stand it the same thing he must do something in his swing but it’s a dream watching him he’s just fabulous I mean every shot that he sees he executes almost every shot you know it it’s so impressive and he like you said he’s really an artist and he plays like an old school golfer which I thoroughly enjoy let’s take a look at some Waco Neeman highlights from this amazing Saturday in Houston Texas in the heat all right let’s do it Waco nean ladies and gentlemen D talk to us yeah easy Drive of about 330 and then he knocked it in for an eagle chance on the fourth which is only his second hole of the day that was an easy birdie for the Chilean and then on the ninth there was a lovely shot I mean I don’t think anyone hit it I can’t imagine anyone hit it closer to him on that par three today I know we talk a lot about how much distance he’s gain and his ball striking and how much that’s improved but I think this part of his game has improved significantly uh I know he switched his pre-shot routine early on the season but uh it probably is the part of the game I followed him down for 36 holes it’s the part of the game that’s led him down a little bit because from T to Green he is imperious all right we had a little tweet from uh tqu GC note to S today Neiman shot 59 in live mayakoba he arrived to the course on a bike will he show up on a bike tomorrow perhaps I think he needs a motorbike tomorrow from Houston wow that’s incredible you gotta love Waco nean that’s for sure all right Patrick Reed is at home this week and His Four Aces content team content team captured his ride into the office hey guys period here four aces welcome to Houston can we get two Trenta strawberry Refreshers no water no inclusions now we ready to roll as at our level and just kind of you know any athlete whenever it’s game day it doesn’t matter if it’s at home or on the road you’re always turning it on cuz you’re going out to perform and play the best and for me personally be able to play at home is unbelievable I get to have my family come out all the f all my friends and all the fans come out just gives that extra energy and extra you know motivation to go out there and grind there’s so many different things that I love about this place every kind of restaurant you can think of you have you know the Texans are now back on the rise the Astros have always been really really solid tea it’s going to be hot like it always is in Houston so what’s up bud how are you yeah yeah you know where you all right thank you sir appreciate it hey guys just got here to golf club of Houston go four aces big shout out to my guy P dog doing his thing you got to love to see p dog in his hometown getting the love that he deserves as you can see the sun is finally starting to set a little bit there’s a nice breeze it’s beautiful here in Houston Texas not nearly as hot as it was but this is Club 54 Pro suround show more to come with our good friend Jerry folz really no yeah it’s gorgeous H here we go Four 3 2 1 all right and as you can see uh Jerry fults is joining us here suan hang is still hanging with us as we speak but uh there’s one person who’s not here at the table who we love to see every single show she goes by the name of Rachel Drummond she’s currently on the Range let’s check in with Rachel and see what she’s got going on hey team how you doing I’m out here the sun is shining it’s always shining in the day and especially here in Houston the players are calling down behind me despite being out there for four or five hours in this extreme weather and I’ve got some insights today from a particular coach Kevin Nar his coach Drew stle now if you get insights from a coach of this caliber you’ve got to listen and we’re going to go through some of Kevin’s shots today and then I’m going to tell you what he’s been working on specifically and I’m going to show you how that can work for you at home today so let’s have a little look at those shots he was six suay yesterday fired a level today which is often what you need to grind out to stay in a tournament that was one of my favorite swings there a little held off number and this was an absolute Beauty on the path three over the water the technical work he’s been doing with Drew definitely working here no smile from Kevin but it was a great shot so I’m going to go through what Drew’s been been working with Kevin and it’s going to help you at home so it’s all about Club face control now Drew told me specifically what they were working on which is making sure the club was coming on the inside and the knuckles and wrist angles in flexion now to me as a coach I understand what that is but that sounds very complicated so I’m going to break it down for you so one of the most important things in the golf swing is Club face control and this is what these top players do every shot they know exactly where the club face is so what I want you to be aware of first is if you stand tall and hold the club face out at P2 Club parallel if you see the Leading Edge of the club face matches my spine Angle now as I go into posture the club face follows that is now a square Club face a lot of people think that’s actually shut so that is what you want to see in your P2 so position two one is set up two is here Club face matching spine now Drew mentioned that the club face has to come on the inside and the wrist angle was in flexion so what he means by that is the club face is matching the spine so it’s square and then it’s coming into impact Square now I’m going to give you a little drill to go through that I’ve made this sound really complicated it is so I’m going to break it down a little bit more so we’re going to take the car back to the top of the back swing now we talk about this shallowing movement if I move my lead Knuckles there’s mys caddy if I move my lead Knuckles back like so you’ll see the pitch of the shaft starts shallowing that is the inside that Drew is talking about as we come into this position on the down swing do you see how the club face is matching my spine again and then you can turn through that’s exactly what Nar has been working on so let’s hit a few like that we saw with the second shot in the B- roll he had almost the abbreviated follow through and that’s a byproduct of doing this with the wrist angle so you’re going to take it back and you’re going to feel like your lead Knuckles your left Knuckles are going to start you want to come in and help me with this your lead Knuckles are working backwards and down Square Club face and then you can turn through now the reason this is a great tip for you at home is more often than not I see amateur on their downswing the club face opening now if I start rotating through the ball with an open Club face the ball is going to go so far right and you’re going to get a slice so so try this one at home you’re going to get to the top of your back swing you’re going to move the lead Knuckles back matching your spine angle and then you can rotate as hard as you want onto the golf ball let’s do one more and hopefully it’ll get that ball flight the ball flight never lies so give this one to go at home get that club face control get the awareness on your back swing and let’s see how Kevin does tomorrow he had a tide sth in Singapore let’s see if his game’s trending all right great job Rachel Drummond thank you for that on the Range we always love to see it did you get all that I got all of it every single piece good yeah how about you good yeah what is P2 just kidding don’t do that to me welcome to the show jar uh coming out of that nice chill cool uh Studio of yours how are you feeling as we come to a close here on this beautiful Saturday it’s gorgeous out just like you said no it’s perfect out it the booth is a little chilly but it’s I mean who’s gonna complain about that I got a nice little blank and uh and we get we get looked after pretty good no it’s it was a great action today sometimes it happened Fast and Furious and then other times it kind of stalled as guys were having a hard time figuring out some of these short putts on the greens I just talked to Matthew wolf as he left your set and he’s like man yeah I didn’t you know my driver didn’t feel that good but he’s like I don’t think I need it that much on this course he got the 15 which very few players got to with three wood and three wood and uh he said he did make some putts and but he said a lot of guys are struggling with the shorter putts well I was stuck with one group you got to watch the entire broadcast what stood out to you today what stood out to me well I think this course is a great equalizer I don’t think there’s any great strength that this course requires from anybody to test the allaround game and we’ve seen that and I mean the the number of players that have a chance to win tomorrow the number of different leaders that we’ve seen throughout the day and I think believe it or not I think tomorrow for one of the pursuers where they start on the golf course could have a huge impact based on how some of those finishing holes play well at the top of the day I wouldn’t imagine this team would dominate the way that they did but Fireballs GC just seemed to continuously improve throughout the day ending uh at the top of the leaderboard let’s talk a little bit about Fireballs GC Jerry here’s the bobblehead you love to break down oh so much uh talk to us about this what these guys have done today especially a guy like David pu who uh ended at the top of the individual yeah David P part of that offseason trade with Carlos Ortiz and they’re both playing great you can’t go wrong on that trade but we were just looking at the score suan and I and it looks like Crushers and uh and Fireball have the best non-counting score for two days so that suits them very well heading into Sunday but what really surprises me about Fireballs is the fact that they have’t Podium this year I know that is shocking I didn’t know that they just said it actually that’s how shocking it is yes because the judging by the way answer’s been playing Puja been playing Serge has been playing individually you would think that that team would perform pretty well but I guess they just haven’t performed collectively as a team throughout this season so far and then there’s no you can’t you can’t you can’t ignore it chakara has not played up to his potential this year at all but you can say that about a lot of guys I mean there’s a lot of talented players out here whole lot of highlights to talk about let’s take a look at the Fireballs GC highlights from day two Jerry suan feel free to chime in here on these highlights here we go it’s Fireballs GC well there’s got to be a lot of them because uh pu and ANS are both shot 600 today so yeah I mean pu is just on fire winning his qualifier for the US Open he’s heading to Pine Hurst next week with some great form but you know what I think it is Su since our last tournament we’ve had both PUO and Ortiz on Fairway to Heaven I think that is the good luck charm absolutely if Chris rassin from the Four Aces the GM was was playing then he’d be playing great too but his team’s playing well why does that not surprise me that you said that I mean I mean look at this performance by poo he is just in control and Sergio I mean we thought he was going to play a little better today did we Jerry well you know what Dom made a great Point earlier that the that the Bermuda greens with the grain he can be a little more aggressive and that always helps Sergio with his putting but like Patrick Reed said at the end of the day these greens got crusty and fast so that makes everybody defensive yeah Paul Casey said that too in the post round interview they just get really crispy yeah and here’s that leaderboard the uh Team leaderboard from round two Fireballs at the top of that TK GC 2200 at the end of the day when you look at this leaderboard you know what I’m looking at my AC yeah I told you starting the day I’m not giving up on them they’re just they’re one or two holes away from being in the lead it’s tar is my pick this week and so it’s and I’m doing pretty well I have to say I’m pretty proud of myself but keep an eye out for Crushers I mean they have their reputation for a comeback on a Sunday they are the Sunday players I know catlin’s playing this week but he’s playing some great golf he played well he got off to a good start today didn’t finish it well he was just out here grinding away he was I think the last guy on the putting ring grinding away on some of those short putts but he’s going to be feeling a lot of pressure tomorrow knowing no matter what his score counts so but uh yeah keep an eye on the crushes Bryson has not had his best stuff yet he thought he had figured out a few things coming into this week since the PGA uh ball striking wise I guess the putter just hasn’t been quite as hot as it was at the PGA well a lot of people are excited social media is buzzing let’s take a look at some of the most recent tweets that we have from from some fans and some of our teams I’m sure there’s some great stuff here all right so we got damn what a what a great piece by Roger Clemens awesome marketing Roger that was fabulous Perfecto I mean social media when it comes to live there’s never a dull moment especially even yesterday Bryson D Shambo on that camera it seems like he goes viral every single week there goes another tweet right there no all right the first half of the season is over ladies and gentlemen and the battle for the team title this season has last year’s Chance The Crushers still setting the pace it’s their golfing world at the moment and we just live in it anytime you’re the best at something you always have a Target on your back so I think everyone’s really chasing the crushes let’s cut it out you guys have played some good golf but it needs to stop they took our tournament in in South from us you know right from under our noses this is something of a Collapse by Stingers we’ve been very close I think we have 2 seconds Australia was was huge I expect us to have a really good second half of the year we just have to keep trying to push R GC delighting the Aussies here I think on our day we can beat anyone which we’ve proven now twice in the season time for a shy fellas we all knew that we could play like this and I think just took a a little bit of time to get the gears moving it’s about creating a team environment that’s going to thrive and I think Legion has done just that the four aces are slumping in 2024 could we say the Dynasty is over simply just not playing like we have the last uh two years there’s no tension they just haven’t played as well as we all expect to smash GC are victorious at live Golf Las Vegas it was kind of funny that we won with Brooks being the worst player that week it’s going to be a Sprint that’s what’s I think cool about Liv we’ve got to keep putting the pedal of the medal uh we want to defend that title we all love a little competition don’t we uh we’re about uh halfway through officially the live golf league schedule and I can already sense the competition is higher there’s more at stake and it’s a whole lot of fun to watch I’ll tell you that yes Jerry I know you agree we’re going to talk about it right now all right and we’re back all right so Jerry uh sir we are now officially halfway through 2024 live golf league schedule uh the stakes are higher guys are now seriously playing for their career and for that top spot um let’s take a look at these standings I want to hear you break down the guys are in that position where they could uh position themselves or they could not here’s the team standings first suan Jerry let’s talk about this a little bit no surprises crushes up there in torqu uh you know Legion 13 they’ve come into this league and and just really made a statement one in Miami one the first event in Mexico and they’ve got two guys who are just young and haven’t had that much experience as a professional yeah the team standings really only matter at the end of the year and the top three teams get that first round by Otherwise every team plays in the team championship every team has a chance to win now obviously those standing right there are going to give you the handicapping of who’s going to be favored to win there based on how they’ve performed all year but uh they they really matter the regular season is bragging rights but then you get to the team championship top three teams exempt that’s what matters the most okay let’s uh bring up the individual standings and tell me what you see here when you look at these individual standings Jerry and suan feel free to chime in as well I mean the pressure on these guys honestly with 13 individual events jar 16 rounds of golf left for for them individually that’s a lot of pressure to try and get yourself into that lock Zone which is top 24 as we can see here Charles how III is on that right on the bubble close to the bubble yeah he’s 22nd 24th is the bubble where you see gr McDow who’s playing well here this week uh Richard Bland he’s not in the top 24 currently uh and you he thinks it his might he has to finish in the top 24 although there is talk and there is uh there is the caveat that teams can extend a contract to a player before the season ends even if he’s not in the lock Zone he might get one of those I mean some big names down that individual standings that’s not safe at all and uh it’s just some of them have not been playing as well this season yeah I’m sure they’re disappointed too John Rah actually suffered a foot injury today um I would love to hear if you heard anything more about that but what does this mean for Legion 13 for Legion 13 have Ben Campbell filling in for John ROM tomorrow fine player out of Fine Young player out of New Zealand uh and he’ll count for the team scores wouldn’t be surprised Ben has nothing to lose tomorrow and the team’s not currently in the top three for a Podium position he might go out there and just free will it he’s a fine player he he beat cam Smith by one shot at the Hong Kong open a year ago um more importantly for John Rah we just hope he could get it fixed Enough by next week to where he can play his best at the US Open well let’s take a look at some social clips from from all of our live golf fans and of course teams there’s Matt wolf out here weathering the storm looks like a a GQ ad if you ask me he’s a stud he’s about to get married soon I think he yep just got engaged about two weeks ago I believe good for him cuz he’s got a different type of Swag going for him now as you can see right there well when you hit the ball that long you you ought to have some swag absolutely he’s an Jerry have no idea what that feels like that’s the face Jerry makes every time we start the show one of these he breaking into jail that’s what was a face I made uh Jerry one final question to you uh heading into Championship Sunday ma’am I’m going to put you on the spot because you always put me on the spot yeah well who do you think’s going to win tomorrow I think individually yeah Patrick Reed I think you know he is such a polarizing figure and we talked about this during our our halftime break today um and he has the entire crowd behind him here now that Bryson’s not really part of it who was the you know the second favorite if not the favorite amongst the local crowd being a Dallas resident I think they’re all going to be behind Patrick Reed tomorrow I think he rides that momentum to his first win right at home what about you team about team doubling down those four aces or what four aces Pat Perez is going deep Harold Viner who did not play well here was out grinding away on the putting green as well they’re winning this thing by eight tomorrow I’m going to say Paul Casey oh nice yeah Paul Casey is’s just too solid going away from wo only time will’ll tell sh Championship
